Take 2... I couldnt wait to recommend a special pazesco pizza because it WAS excellent! but this time Im horribly disappointed... a lot of toppings but I had to saw the dough what did you do you changed pizza man... really a shame Ill have to find another pizzeria Luckily the young girl at the counter had a big smile.. I thank her.

I was recommended to try their pizza. We had fried calamari for entree and for the price and portion, pretty disappointed. As for the pizza ( we had sausage with rapini and frutta di mare, it was ok but I had better). I have to say however that I saw they had Trippa so I will give trippa a try ( I am a big trippa lover). Lets see if their trippa will meet my expectations ( maybe trippa with polenta? ) Cheers!

Great restaurant in the East end of Montreal

Very bad experience. We had a reservation for 7:30 p.m. We called to confirm and we were asked to move to 8 p.m. because there were too many people. When we arrived we were told that they couldnt find our reservation and asked us to wait while they prepared a table and left us waiting even though we were with children and finally told us we couldnt find your reservation and there was nothing we could do. .

Ive known this restaurant for some time so I decided to celebrate my birthday there. It was amazing. Support from booking, follow-ups, etc. The service was perfect. The food was delicious. They took their time to serve us (group of 24), they did not rush us to finish. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

The service was amazing and so attentive! The snail starter was so good. However I found the veal cognac underwhelming lacking cognac flavoring and their dessert just fine.

Sunday evening, the restaurant is full. By reservation only, but they still found a place for us. This place was outside... Normally we are forgotten when we are thrown out..., but not in this restaurant. Although the restaurant was full of groups, they came to see us frequently and we had impeccable service. The food was just as good. I had seafood pasta with rosée sauce. Delicious. I recommend (by reservation on weekends) this restaurant... a discovery to try again!

I have been a customer of Pazzesco since 1992. Even if the owners have changed, it is still good.

Very good

Nicola, Salvatore and Raphaele received us like members of the family. The lucky lime, the burrata, the pasta al funghi, the escalope al marsala, the rack of lamb from Il Massieta were all delicious. Do we recommend? Definitely. Pasta al pomodoro basilico? Wonderful, it reminded me of Florence in Italy. We finished the meal on the terrace. The dolce at the end, much appreciated.

Staff is excellent, food is absolutely delicious- if they was more room in my stomach I d continue eating.

Great food and selections of imported wines

If you want an authentic Italian restaurant, this is the one. We came up from Downtown and it was definitely worth it. Everything was fantastic, All dishes were perfect; the soups, salads and obviously the pastas. Our waiters wine recommendation was right on. You cant go wrong with this place.

The best veal and the best polpettes I have eaten. Super friendly and warm service! We will definitely come back.

Its been a long time since I ate good Italian food!!! I have no words! The vegetables were perfect, the sauce... I want a whole bucket of it! Veal that literally melts in your mouth! Excellent service! I really love it!!!

Les calmars étaient fondants, le veau citronné était excellent, et que dire des cannolis, muah! Mention spéciale pour le service de qualité.

Wow Wow Wow!! Visit during the week during dinner time with a client, very warm welcome, the place is the opposite of what you might think from the outside, decoration up to date. What can we say about the meal, excellent whether it is the starters or the pizza (generous portion) as for the prices it is much lower than elsewhere. From now on my favorite place for my professional meetings.

Ive been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time and I went there to celebrate a friends birthday. The service was smooth, perfect place to receive small groups and great atmosphere. I ordered the burrata con kaki as a starter which was ok, but on the other hand my main course was the linguine amalfitana which was really great, the aldente pasta, lots of seafood as I like, fresh food and a very well prepared dish with tomato sauce! To try again to come and taste other dishes in the future

We ve eaten at the restaurant, and it was good. However, we enjoy their take out menu; their pizza is delicious as are their submarines. Must try: pazzesco special (pizza) and their chicken submarine (made with pizza bread).

My husband goes to Montreal on business, and wandered into Il Pazzesco a few years ago. He asked if he could swap out their linguine and clams in red sauce for white sauce. Clearly, the chef and kitchen staff know a thing or two about gastronomy, and aren t in the least bit fazed by such a request. What came out was so delicious, that he hasn t deviated from this order. I had the opportunity to finally try this and could have wept it was so good. We also shared their meatball appetizer and mixed salad. No doubt, everything on their menu is excellent, but I ll never know because, like my husband, I will probably always order linguine and clams in white sauce! Lively, bustling place; friendly servers. Highly recommend!

We decided to try a new place for pizza as its always the same one were ordering. The result was outstanding. The crust is very good, they have the right amount of sauce in it, we had their special one the #5 I believe and I highly recommand.

The cuisine is just excellent! The fried squid as a starter are incredibly fresh and the linguini amalfitana with white wine is majestic! The service is great, its a place to be!!

Personally I love their mix salad , always fresh crispy and well dressed. . But this time their famous all dressed pizza was not as usual . I know they have probably changed their cheese for a cheaper quality. If they do not change it back. I will not go there anymore and I will be in the position of telling all my friends that I have send there.Before this personally they had the best all dressed pizza in Montreal.

The food was ok, but the service was terrible. The Waiters/busboy were very rude. It was an unfortunate evening.

Service was amazing and their spaghetti carbonara was perfectly Al dente, for me. I had their pizza before as well and it was the right amount of topping ratio to the lightness of their dough. A very suitable place for family and friends to get together over amazing food.

Very good Italian restaurant, I went there twice on weekday evenings. The service is impeccable and the food delicious. The waiter made us make a cacio e pepe which was not on the menu! ++ for the service! The noise irritated us a few times but nothing more. I highly recommend.

We really like this restaurant but from year to year I find that their pizza is getting thinner and thinner... it is so thin... that it is not possible to eat it with your hands Personally I prefer something thin... because thats how I like my pizza... but if you look for a thick crust pizza you will be disappointed

Upon my arrival at the restaurant they brought us to our table next to the door to the washroom. I asked them nicely that I wanted to be moved. The waiter by the name of Dino was trying to convince me that the people beg for that table. I told him that I was totally disappointed and did not want to be seated there. He absolutely did not care and gave me attitude. I work in hospitality and the gentlemen had absolutely no customer service skills. Our reservation was at 7:30 p.m. and we were only served our appetizers at 9:00 p.m. The food was okay nothing to say WOW about. The service was absolutely horrible! Our evening was totally ruined. We spent $350.00 and had such a horrible experience. There are much better restaurants in Montreal that you feel welcomed and respected. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. You need to treat your customers with respect!

A hidden gem! Went there for dinner last night and left so full and satisfied. Authentic Italian cuisine with good service, what more can you ask for? The truffle ravioli and candied walnut salad on the table d hôte was the best meal I ve had in a very long time. Will be coming back

The customer service is truly excellent!!! The servers do a great job. The table service to receive our dishes is a little long though. You dont have to be in a hurry. The food is generally delicious. We were a group of 13 and I practically tasted everyones starters and dishes hehe. Some dishes are really salty like the eggplant and polpette starters and others are slightly bland in comparison. The endive salad is very good, but the burrata with tomatoes is too simple and not very tasty. Among the main dishes, one of the most surprising and DELICIOUS even if it is not on their signature menu is all the Alfredo pastas!! *I recommend them with shrimp in their garlic sauce and thickened butter, its very good! Almost all pasta is good; the tomato sauces are very tasty too (but quite salty). The veal cannelloni are particularly good. The risottos have a good texture, but they could be more flavorful (a little punch is missing: salt, spices, something in the broth when cooking so that the gput is less spicy). The Osso bucco is good with its saffron risotto, but without being extraordinary despite it being a signature dish. In the desserts the best dessert is the strawberry cheesecake in our opinion. The taste is great and true even though the texture is lighter than a standard cheesecake. The Canollis are obviously good too. The portions are good, and the cooking is just right. Despite the slight culinary disappointments, it is a very recommendable restaurant :). I hope the chef will read us and bring a balance of dish recipes for our next visit... Vegetarian options: Yes, dishes without meat or cheese. Dietary restrictions: We are a family that has a lot of allergies to spices, fruits, nuts and peanuts and we can easily find dishes without these allergens in them. Parking: Small, but there is one :) Kid-friendliness: Yes thats correct. Almost all kids love pizza and pasta. They have juices that they like and the servers know how to get their attention with dynamism. But its possibly better for children aged 5 and over in the style of the restaurant and the price, because I havent seen a childrens menu per se.

First, I want to say how much I enjoyed the food ! For entry, I had the calamari, mussels, and Ceasars salad. For the main course, I took the Sopressata pizza and also got a chance to try their salmon tartar, tortellini rosé and lamb dish. I ate like a queen ! I have to say, the pizza is hands down the best I ate in a long time. The crust was cooked to perfection. The sauce, cheese, and toppings were plenty enough. The lamb just melted in my mouth. The tortellini was deliciously creamy, and the tartar with avocado was fresh. Every dish had its own unique flavor. I went there for a birthday party, we were a group of 10 so we took many options to try different things and it was great. The service was friendly, and the servers worked as a team to provide us with a quality dining experience. Although there were times when it was slow, its to be expected for a large group, not to mention that the restaurant was full. The overall atmosphere was enjoyable, with music playing in the background. I recommend trying this place, and I will definitely go back. Kid-friendliness: Booster seats are available, but no kids menu. For my toddler, I ordered a simple pasta dish (tortellini rosé) that we shared. My kid and I loved it !

Another outstanding evening past at Il Pazzesco. The service is so warm and welcoming. Every server and the owner, all are attentive and you really get the feeling that they are very happy you chose their restaurant. And that is just the beginning. Then you eat excellent food, some of the best Italian food I have had. It has a very chic downtown decor. Much easier access than downtown restaurants. Table cloths on the tables and real napkins. Lots of parking. We will return OFTEN.

Average size room with good distribution of tables. Typically Italian atmosphere: we eat well, we drink well, we talk a lot, we laugh a lot and we dance to finish. Parking: Limited locations shared with neighboring businesses: it depends on the days and times you go. Otherwise you have to park on the side streets as best you can.

Impeccable service, the pasta is delicious. Dietary restrictions: I have a gluten intolerance, for once, the pasta is not pennine.

We usually order pizza to take away and it s the best in town! It is prepared in front of us. I adore!

The soup was very good, but a small dish of pasta (a little too aldentate) with a very meager little amount of sauce for $32 is not what I call abundance. We were a group, table service was ok, nothing friendly. There was a big confusion with the invoices, I had to wait 10 minutes to get the correct invoice when the others already had it and I felt that I was disturbing the person who had to sort out the confusion.

I had to call four times to be able to speak to someone (because each time I was put on hold and ended up hanging up the line) and after the 4th call I was told that it was is complete! Having an online booking service would have made me waste less time and I would have a better opinion of the restaurant. If I end up being able to visit the restaurant, I will change my review.
