Honestly the best place I ever went for chicken sandwiches better than popeyes and KFC in my opinion And great place for the budget as well

First it was a merry browns. Then it died and from the remains arose Chucks Chicken. Then it too perished and yet again, like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, Hunie Bennys emerged to take on the mantle. This place cannot be vanquished. It is held up by chicken gods whose names were lost to the sands of time, yet their presence remains sturdy rooted in the very foundation of this plaza, destined go serve thick legs, toasty wings and succulent beasts to the neighborhood until the last star in this universe collapses and the spacetime will cease to be.

Good customer service. Clean store. I expected more in the combo that I ordered. I spent a good amount of money. The chicken was OK.

Small portions, found hair in our food. This establishment has gone down hill since it was changed from Chucks Chicken.

If you d ever be so generous as so give a strangers words some weight, please do so now. I utterly implore your understanding of how spectacular this establishment is. The chicken is always perfectly breaded, fried and seasoned before topped on buns fluffier than the clouds I imagine in heaven. This biblical sandwich is only enjoyed more with the sweet and loving demeanour of Ben, the stellar employee who graciously tended to me today. This man needs a raise! Top notch service, exceptional food and prices that genuinely beat fast food. If ever in Aurora, please never sleep on hunny benny!!

Hidden gem! Behind this unassuming restaurant and simple menu board is a super friendly staff and seriously great food at a good value. They promised me that I would be back after trying them for my first time and they were absolutely right!

Really really good fried chicken. They always cook to order. They never leave cooked foods on hotplate so its always incredibly crispy, juicy, tender, and just amazing fried chicken whether its classic bone-in fried chicken, sandwich, chicken bites/tenders. If you are in the area, check this place out.

The food tasted like McDonalds, too much sugar in their sauces and you can feel the cheap oils the food is fried in, the only thing that tasted fine was the sandwich bun. The service was amazing but the food made us feel a little ill. There are much healthier options for the price in the area.

I used to be regular customer of this place from 2021. I also recommended to all my close friends to be here because of my satisfaction for the fried chickens here. But during last 2 months we have tried it 3 times and every time we found a significant drop for food quality and taste. I think using something different in their recipe is causing this but it could be re using repeatedly heated cooking oils !!!!!! So I am not going to this place anymore.

I have been hesitant to go here, as it is a bit dumpy from the outside, but I was hungry and decided to give it a try. I was a bit hesitant to go in, as when I went to the door, it looked dumpy on the inside too. When I went in, the staff were friendly, the service was fast, the prices were good, and I enjoyed the food. I will be back, but please, spend a few dollars and fix the place up a bit...

Ive been craving for a chicken burger for a while now and decided to give this place a try. We had Chucks before and it was good but we definitely found this burger much better. My regular chicken burger was crispy and juicy. My husband has the BBQ mayo chicken burger and didnt eat his til he got home, about 30 mins. He said his chicken was still crispy and juicy! Well definitely return.

Best chicken sandwiches in the area

I wasnt expecting much when I entered. But the spicy chicken sandwich was awesome. Its got a nice kick while not overwhelming. The jalapeno peppers was definitely a bonus. It also has a slight hint of sweetness not sure if it is from the sauce or what. Very well balanced. I will try the fried chicken to see if it is just as good.

Good food but the lady at the counter touchs her mouth and wipes her nose a lot and handles all the cash without washing her hands which is followed by packing your meals. Kind of an unsanitary place but the food tastes great.

I really wish they d invest in some house made sauces, using recipes found online to make better buffalo/bbq/ranch sauces etc. it s disappointing that they make good food and cover it in such poorly made, mass produced sauces. Costco business centre bbq and buffalo sauce is not acceptable for a fried chicken restaurant. With these tweaks i believe the restaurant can really put itself on the map and improve.

Ive driven past this place tons of times and only just now stopped in for food. I really should have stopped by sooner since this is probably the best chicken place Ive been to in the area. I got a sandwich and my girlfriend got a wrap and they were both awesome!

Fast enjoyable friendly staff &chicken

The food and staff are great. The only change in this establishment is their name, the chicken is still delicious with a crispy coating with very little grease inside. The taters are the best available anywhere in Aurora. Definitely worth trying if you havent already.

The service was pretty standard but they were friendly enough. The food came out pretty quickly and everything that was hot was hot and the cold things were cold, something that doesnt always happen everywhere despite having that as a basic expectation. The taters were good (cant go wrong with taters), the chicken was hot, crispy and juicy. My only complaint was that it could have a bit more seasoning but it wasnt bland per se, just a bit more and it would be perfect in my mind. I actually want to give this place a 4.5/5 but I cant so I gave it a 5 because they do seem to be a small locally owned business. The place has a coffee shop vibes inside but they also do have some high chairs for children so you can sit down if you should decide to do that. If youre craving crispy juicy fried chicken then heres the spot for you.

Never heard of this place before. Just noticed it while driving past and returned several months later to give it a try. Great outside appearance. Small local business, but on par with major chains in terms of food quality. The simplicity of the menu made it easy to order and the pricing was very fair for the amount of food. The smallest available portions are enough for a meal. We ordered the chicken strips with sweet potato fries and the classic chicken sandwich. The food was ready very quickly and was made fresh. Well likely return in the future.

A good alternative to the big chains.

First time trying it and it was some amazing chicken, good portions, crispy, and nice batter. I had strips, the spicy chicken sandwich and my friend had the BBQ mayo sandwich and 2 PC chicken and it was all so fresh and tasty, good sauces and just everything exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it!

I was ready to give this place a bad review but the spicy chicken sandwich is legit, as lots of reviewers say. I also got onion rings and vinegar coleslaw as sides but I would pass next time - they add nothing to the meal - and just get the sandwich. The chicken is crispy and juicy and the sauce, pickled jalapenos and banana peppers give a nice spicy flavour. I dined in. Greasy feel as someone and I think they just need one quick squeegee over the windows but tables and chairs are clean enough. I still ultimately prefer Popeyes.

Honestly the best fried chicken you can get around. This place is much tastier and more fresh than Popeyes or KFC without question. A chicken sandwich from this place is so much better than anywhere else its laughable. I highly recommend this place if youre in New market or Aurora.

Food was okay but lady that worked there was kind of rude/fed up with the customers.

Food wasnt the greatest, Im a big fried chicken fan so I have pretty high standards and this just didnt satisfy that craving. Nevertheless the customer service is amazing, I asked to get the spicy chicken sandwiches deconstructed (ie having the sauces, and lettuce packed separately) so I can assembly it myself at home after a long commute and they were very accommodating!

This is a fast food style small restaurant , famous in Fried Chicken . They have a few tables for dine in. Their fried chicken is crispy outside, juicy and tender inside, very yummy ! My family love it very much ! I think its much better than some of the chain stores. Service is very efficient and friendly.

Come here often until this week had chicken that smelled and left me with a bad taste in my mouth. No refund offer to replace. I think i might be going ro churches chicken from now on. Maybe popeyes. Didnt like the customer service this day. I think it was not fresh was the problem.

Got the spicy chicken sandwich with the waffle fries and mozza sticks. The food was great, by the time I ate it, it was still warm which is an extra bonus. I just feel like their mozza sticks should include some dip with it. Service was fast and very friendly. We were very needy with utensils and the lady didn t get annoyed at all which is great. My friends and I will be coming again! Definitely recommend it to everyone to try!

First time trying Chuck s even though we live in the area. The chicken is really crispy and light, doesn t leave a bunch of oil on your fingers. The pompoms and coleslaw was also really good. The onion rings were good, but nothing special. The spicy chicken sandwich was really delicious and very filling! Definitely would go back again!

This is the best fried chicken joint around! Ever want a lighter batter thats still crispy, but not soaked in grease? Well, this is the restaurant youre looking for; it used to be a Mary Browns and their current batter is evolved from that. While not my personal preference, all their chicken, strips, burgers, sides... you name it, are all great and tasty. Definitely try their waffle fries if you can!

Called ahead of times to avoid having to wait 30 minutes to get the food cooked. Person said come in 20 minutes. Note that it is very normal to walk in and wait 20-30 minutes for food here. Arrived after 20 minutes, food not even entered into the kitchen, had to wait another 20 minutes. When asked why takes so long even we called ahead, staff is very rude and indicated that the estimate doesn t mean anything. No apology for the delay at all. Almost makes you think they they want you to wait for their food on purpose. So if you enjoy waiting for your food on empty stomach this is the place. You won t be disappointed by the wait time I guarantee you.

Best fried chicken restaurant other than Krispys. Super fresh white chicken breast served every time. Get the spicy chicken sandwich, as that is their staple. The homemade spicy mayo is one of the most tasty sauces ever made, and it really makes their waffle fries and sandwich taste incredible! All staff are super friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Dirty place not clean door to kitchen was dirty Cashier was rude and told us we don t have time for cleaning

I had bad experience at this restaurant. The kitchen door was really dirty and when I asked the cashier to paint or clean the door she just said we are so busy and don t have enough stuff to do it and get away!!!

First time trying out Chucks. I ordered the 3 piece chicken with fries and the appetizer sampler. I waited almost an hour to get the hour; meal preparation took quite long. The chicken was fine but not one of the best. I thought it was under seasoned. The fries and sampler were good though.

Very solid fried chicken and waffle fries! Even after a drive to Scarborough they were still pretty good and crispy. The mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and creamy coleslaw were algo quite decent. However, I can somewhat agree that it s on the pricier end for fried chicken, and that it could benefit from a bit more seasoning but, it s definitely tasty.

Chucks is our go to chicken when were visiting friends in Newmarket and Aurora. Very crispy, fresh fried chicken. Recommended if in the area.
