Ordered off DoorDash got the combo platter General Tao, sweet and sour chicken and chicken fried rice with spring roll, also added the Kung Pao Beef. Solid portions at a reasonable price and delicious.

One of the best places in Aurora to order Canadian-Chinese food. They never disappoint and their food is always amazingly delicious.

So disappointed in our order. Prices are decent but you re definitely getting what you pay for. We ordered three dishes and none are even half decent. The chicken fried rice is bland, the peas are hard. The veggie Shanghai noodles have three pieces of broccoli and a few thin pieces of mushroom. The noodles are prepared in some strange red sauce. Not tasty. Very disappointed.

Food is bland and every dish tastes the same. Staff are nice, which is good. Atmosphere is terrible; get your order as take-out. Website had incorrect prices but looks as though it got hacked and no longer exists... Wheelchair accessibility: The front door is very difficult to open. Negative air pressure from the fume hoods causes doors to be constantly shut tight, even for an average person like me. Good luck if you have a wheelchair or a stroller :(

Really bad chinese food. I would not even call it chinese food. I asked for cantonese chow mein with oyster sauce and no onion, mushrooms or celery because I have allergies. What I got was disgusting. Egg noodles slathered in soya sauce (not oyster) with bean sprouts and julienned carrots, no vegetables at all (no broccoli, bok choy, red or green peppers, baby corn, water chestnuts or bamboo shoots -etc...). Will not be buying from here again. I should stick to my regular spot Choice of the Orient in Richmond Hill which makes excellent food even when you ask for them to make alterations to their menu.

Food is good and was hot but they messed up my order. This is the first time ordering from this restaurant. Placed an order for couple of platters. Ordered sweet and sour pork and did NOT receive it. I did NOT order chicken balls and I received chicken balls. Positive: good food Good food portion Delivered on time via uber Came with fortune cookies and sweet sauce which is delicious. Negative: Please make sure you check the order before sending out for delivery since people expect to get what they paid for and ordered.

The food here has been absolutely amazing every time I have gone. The service is great and the staff are friendly. This is definitely one of my favourite take-out places.

Small Mom and pop restaurant that are shrinking and being replace by big corp chains. I will always support the local restaurant since their food is not only more healthy but more affordable.

Tried to order $100 worth of food for my family. I border Newmarket/Aurora. Website says free delivery. They wanted to charge me $10 to drive 2km. Told me too bad and hung up. Worst customer service I ve dealt with for a business. Should be ashamed. Do not order from this place.

Amazing!! Best bang for your buck. Places these days are so expensive but Empire Chef is affordable and delicious. Run by a cute Chinese family - food is authentic and tasty. Made fresh each time :)

Tried to give this place a second opportunity after a year hoping the quality of food might have improved, but to our dispair it was still disappointing. The sesame chicken tasted like it was fried in some very old oil and had the after taste of bitter bad oil. I am not sure if its the cooking or the quality of ingredients used but I really hope they look into it. Except for noodles, everything gave us the guilt of eating unhealthy. Rice was not cooked completely so we had to throw away the steamed rice box that came along with the order. My little guy got an upset stomach which was the most horrifying part. The staff is polite and friendly. The place is pretty economical we ordered 4 items and paid only $50 and change

I didnt actually eat here, but went in and the gentleman at the counter was kind enough to let me use their bathroom anyways. Felt their kindess was deserving of some attention, great staff here!

General Tso Chicken lunch combo is always fresh and delicious and never disappoints.

Very unsatisfactory food. Chow mein was overly dressed with squeeze bottle brown sauce. Black pepper beef was over peppered, and only had 5% beef.

This is my go to place in town. I enjoy the food and they know my usual order. They are accurate when they tell me how long it will take.

Ordered food and waited 1.5 hrs! 20 people inside and more outside. Left without getting food. Overcrowded and no clue what they are doing! Try somewhere else.

these people are very greedy ,in order to not honour my coupon they got my whole order wrong and then denied the fact that they got the whole order wrong, its not very polite to mess around with someone elses food

Prices have increased about 30%, they are now the most expensive take out Chinese in the area while their food is not the same as before. Ive heard the owners have changed but I cant confirm. Shopping around for another takeout that is in the same price range as everyone else as Empire Chef is not anything special. I had ordered 3 of the dishes that I commonly order and they were $45 tax in, it was quite the jump.

Kind of disappointing Ordered crispy ginger beef and **Lo Mein** Received chewy ginger beef and **Shanghai Noodles** I may be white but I know my noodles dont play me like that

Its very basic canadian style Chinese food. What sets this place apart is how rude the staff is at all times. They do not greet thier customers or use any sort of manners when your there. Thankyou is never replied to. I work in the plaza so its convenient but I really hate spending my money there

Excellent take out with a wonderful menu selection containing quality ingredients. Portion sizes are extremely generous and service is fast and friendly. Highly recommended. By the way, the lunch special for school kids is an excellent deal.

The absolute worst dining experience ever. It starts with the pricing online is not what they charge you. They charge much more than is posted. The Orange chicken was absolutely nasty. They boast that the orange peels are imported. First of all Oranges are NOT grown in canada so every orange is imported. The spring rolls were over cooked and the pork in the rice was all pork fat very little in the way of meat. I do not suggest that you eat there.

Wow. This has got to be the best take out Chinese food I have ever eaten. The chef takes great care in preparing the food fresh and quickly. The sauces (sweet and sour sauce) is home made with all types of fruit. Not from a can. My favourite is the PadThai!! And my husband can t get enough of the sweet and sour chicken balls. We had a party recently and I ordered a party tray of the chicken balls which went like wildfire. Thanks for being in our community. Angela

Found Empire Chef searching for sticky rice- a family favorite. They were pleasant and informative on the phone. Prices are good. Service is excellent and food is wonderful. And yes, they have sticky rice!!!!

Good place for a late night binge run. Wide variety of Asian dishes in the Chinese American style. Not so much a sit in place but great for take out and delivery. Had the honey garlic spare ribs and the Woo Hoo Gai Pan, with the lamb skewers and popcorn scallops.

Below average quality and taste for chinese take out at above average prices. The chicken fried rice had big chunks of uncooked onion and weird chicken. Sesame chicken might have been okay if it wasnt super soggy and all the breading did not fall off. Hunan beef was mostly veggies and the beef tasted old and low quality. Spring rolls were on par with frozen ones from the grocery store. Fortune cookies were good and it was delivered quickly so they get 2 stars.

The price of the food is really Cost-effective. I have my lunch here almost everyday!

Look, Ive been to A LOT of Chinese Food places and I gotta tell ya, this place got tasty food. The combo specials are plentiful & the flavors are rich. Other places have BURNT rice while this place doesnt. The General Taos chicken is ridiculously tasty. Check it out.

Always tasty. Big menu and even bigger portions!!! One container gives me 2 or 3 meals! And the service is really quick too. They also do delivery which is nice for those lazy nights.

Quality of food is below average. Their Cantonese chow mein is just awful. Yuk. One star rating is being generous.

I dont know if its just me..!!!!! The worst Chinese restaurant I have ever been to.. First they so unfriendly , the girl that takes order has some attitudes towards customers I dont know if it has to do with race?? When I was looking at the menu and asked her questions so that I can know which is best for , she replied with a rolling eyes.. I mean, I work at the restaurant this is not the way of treating customers at all... I see no wonder the place is empty plus the food is not fresh some of them... The price is good maybe because no one goes there!??? Again if all that I mentioned wont change, guys you might end up closing the restaurant... Am writing this not because I have issues with you but because I like Chinese food and itsi close to my house I would love to be a regular customer.. SERVICE need to be GOIG... Dont mind my GRAMMAR

Ive eaten at almost every Chinese food restaurant in the area and Empire Chef is definitely my favorite. Im not going to say every dish they make is perfect. Some are exceptional and some fall short. But overall Im never disappointed. Friendly service, great lunch specials.

Always quick, fresh and delicious. If you are craving Chinese food you will not be let down. Great bang for your buck as well! I always ask to substitute the rice in the specials for noodles for an extra dollar or so.
