This is a great family-owned restaurant! The food is delicious, great portions, and the service is always wonderful.
We get Chinese food 2 or 3 times a year and only order from Aurora garden because we can't imagine anyone doing it better. We recently placed an order for pickup and when we opened the bag it appeared the lo-mein was missing. We called them and they apologized and delivered the lo-mein. We showed our appreciation to the driver with a twenty dollar tip. After a few minutes we realized they did indeed get the order correct, we were the ones that messed up. The customer service at Aurora garden is phenomenal and the food is even better. We wouldn't ever consider Chinese food from anywhere else and we recommend Aurora garden to all of our friends and family. Keep up the great work!! Best Chinese food we've ever had.
I love this place. Although I do not eat Chinese food very often I always order from this place. As a top 10% in the world restaurant reviewer I have eaten in tons of places and this spot checks the boxes for take out Chinese...Family run, hole-in-the-wall location, open for New Year's and hot delicious food. Honestly, order from this place when you need Chinese food.
Good ingredients. Shanghai noodles were sweet though, which I found odd. Portion size is reasonable. One recommended area of improvement is timing: We were told to show up in 50 minutes but had to wait another 15 minutes. This is noted in other reviews so it's not a one-off thing, it's an ongoing issue. Better to be honest with customers instead of wasting their time. Edit: Had the lunch special today (see picture). The rice was either stale or not enough water was used as it was chewy. The black bean chicken had good ingredients, but was sweet. When I get black bean it's always salty, not sweet. I make it at home-it's supposed to be salty not sweet like sugar. Was pretty disappointed, especially since it cost $14...
Horrible! I don’t know how this place got so many good reviews. No taste, no sauce, nothing!! Didn’t received any chopsticks. I am sorry it’s below average. Not recommend. One of the worst experience of flavours. Waist of 50$. Will never order again.
This is the best Chinese food in Aurora. They only do take out or delivery so they are speedy. The taste is incredible and reminds me of the Chinese food I used to get when I was a kid (very comforting!). I would highly recommend the Ginger Beef or the orange beef - and the chicken balls are amazing (not too much breading, lots of chicken, cooked to a beautiful gold). EXCELLENT service.
The most delicious Chinese food in town! Every dish is cooked perfectly and is authentic in taste. They also offer an amazing vegetarian option of my favorite dish Cantonese chow mein! Expect an assortment of fresh vegetables and the taste is even better than the original. The Owners are so friendly and kind- we are extremely happy to have them close to home.
Delicious food ! Best in York Region!!! Must try once and trust me it will not be the last time. Only take out which makes it faster service!

Very nice people and I m so sorry but the food isn t great. The reoccurring comment of bland tasting is correct. It need some seasoning . Some salt or something. Food is edible but I m disappointed. I got a combo for one with general tao chicken, chicken chop suey with fried rice and a spring roll; wonton soup with bbq pork as app. Spring roll I d never order again (not good), wonton soup was ok but the bbq pork in the soup was dry. (Maybe the meat is old?), chicken chop suey had zero taste, general tao was ok but a bit too sweet (i thought this dish is suppose to be spicy?) and fried rice was arite. Unfortunately there is better Chinese out here. Did you guys pay for reviews or something? That s crazy lol

Food is great. My only issue is that if Im told 35 min for pick up I expect it done in 35min not 55. The last thing I need is to be on time and wait 20 min at the restaurant. Be honest with time.

Cold food. Bland, no taste. Owner states they haven t had hot sauce for over a year because the manufacturer stopped making it. A lame excuse because they can switch to a different manufacturer if that was the case. But that isn t the case because the other Chinese restaurant in the area has the hot sauce they claimed stopped making it. Very rude and bad service. Received cold food with no taste at all.
One of the best shrimp fried rices Ive ever had. The food was fresh, hot and tasty. The wait was around 10-15 minutes which was fast in compared to other takeout places.Will order again.

We had Aurora Gardens this evening and wow, best Chinese food! It was incredible. Not greasy, spring rolls were super crispy, food was hot and exactly what we wanted. Staff was SO nice and the place is just so bright and clean for pick-up. We will be back and tell everyone we know! Dietary restrictions: They have gluten-free options!

The best Chinese in the area hands down. Reasonable prices. Good portions. Flavour is incredible. We ordered ginger beef, spicy chicken wings, beef ho fun noodles, BBQ ribs, house fried rice and pepper squid. The owner was very helpful and communicative on a very busy night. I would give them 6 stars if I could! Bravo!

I ordered the dumplings which were actually really delicious. I also got the shanghai noodle which was bland and didnt really have any taste. The chicken in the Cantonese Chow Mein smelled, and there was no cutlery provided in the bag when we got the takeout. I dont know how this place has a 4.9 rating.

Have ordered takeout multiple times, they are always behind schedule, however today was the worst. Made me pay upon arrival saying it would be ready momentarily, ended up waiting another 30 minutes on top of the original 45 minutes. Take the pickup times with a grain of salt, and be prepared to wait longer upon arrival.

Some of the best Chinese food I ve ever had. It s me go-to in the area. It s clearly a family run business and they do it well. The entire family is so welcoming and kind. There s a young boy who works the counter and answers the phone and every time I am beyond impressed with him. Part of the reason I keep coming back.

Fast and delicious.
Just ordered vegetable fried rice and vegetarian Ma Po Tofu. Food was flavourful and spicy just like how we asked for. The lady in the front was very nice recommending dishes. We were waiting in the car and chef came to my car to give me my food once it was ready. I am definitely coming back because of exceptional service and amazing food.
Ordered here a couple times and its very tasty and fresh. The only reason its not a 5 star is that the portion of meat in the dishes is not enough. E.g. the Beef with black sauce dish had too many vegetables and onions being over half the dish compared to the beef.

Extremely good food. The meat was good quality and tasty, the vegetables were very fresh and the sauces were amazing. Typical portion sizes for the restaurant type and prices were average. No opportunity to take any photos...the food was gone too fast. This restaurant is out of our way, but well worth the extra travel distance.
We order delivery from here about once a week. Always hot and delicious. Not that this part matters, but we are 65+ years old, born in Canada of English and Irish decent.
Definitely a good place to stop if you want to grab some good, quick and cheap Chinese takeout. I got the lunch special for around $10 and it was big enough for me and I have a pretty large appetite. Its always a good sign when a takeout place has blue collar guys coming in and out picking up their regular orders.
Very solid, liked pretty much everything we ordered. Keep in mind that my favorites are chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce, egg rolls and fried rice.

Total disappointment, waiting one hour to pick up instead of 25 minutes they mentioned over the phone and the food straight to the garbage. Horrible, not only waste of money but waste of appetite! Sunday dinner is ruined.

First time ordering, we had the Cantonese chow mein, egg Foo Young, chicken balls, spring rolls, chicken with cashew and fried rice. Awesome all around. Dishes had great flavour, nothing was soggy or soft, chicken balls were high quality, and the price and service was great. Well be back!

Purely a takeout restaurant, Aurora Gardens offers a wide range of traditional American style Chinese food, from spicy Szechuan dishes to go-to favourites like sweet and sour chicken balls and honey garlic wings. The food is very fresh and the staff are very courteous.

Great Chinese take out..anything weve ordered as good or better than most dine-in Chinese restaurants..Ginger Beef & Pepper Chicken to die for, food stays hot after 10 min. drive home. Ordering 2 dishes for 2 is enough for a 2nd meal the next day. Dont know if same ownership as Pengs but food is much better
