Mr. Greek in Aurora

Updated. Just came back after quite a long time. Previous experience was abysmal. Just had the best Gyro wrap and roasted potatoes I have had in a while. Tender flavourful. Will be back sooner rather than later. Keep it up! Seems the business is under new management or something. Just had the Gyro Pita. Meat was dry but still okay. But man are the staff annoying. Bus boy sees me taking a bite and comes to discuss quality and if i am happy. Then the counter/wait staff cant let me finish chewing my last bite before she reaches her hand in to take the plate and wrapper. Seriosus courtesy training needed here.

Always a hit, great service, good food, in and out in no time belly satisfied

The meat is not cooked the same day, I think it is yesterday, the price is high for the quality.

Dry gyros and super low in quality and quantity

This was the worst Greek food Ive ever eaten. The pork souvlaki was like a doggie treat.

Ive been getting the gyros pita from this restaurant for a long time now and had no problems, today I went in and got the pork souvlaki on a pita.....I paid 10$ for onions, tomatoes with half a squewer of pork souvlaki...Literally half the pita was just onions and tomatoes and i had like 1.5 inches of souvlaki... I hate making these reviews, but this was ridiculous for 10$

Everything was great service, food. My only thought was the chicken Slovaki Pita was quite small. I got 2 sticks of chicken which i thought would be bigger. Very good Food

Ordered the family pack yesterday and they couldn t even fill the potato or rice containers. Chicken skewers have less chicken on them also. If you are going to increase the price already why cheap out on the portions? Not going back. Not a fan of the lady at the front either. A little rude.

I ordered an Uber eats souvlaki dinner. It was a very small portion for the amount I paid. It was like $32 after tax and all that stuff so if you re ordering Uber eats, you re getting a very small portion.

This restaurant was somewhat good ten years ago. I recently went back, not good. The food was quite basic and very small portions for the price. Service was ok, nothing out of the ordinary. I went home and died my own souvlaki chicken.

Food was ok, very nice staff, however, we saw them eat from the serving area with their hands and continue to wrap a sandwich without washing their hands. Big turn off for us kind of pricey for what it is as well.

Not recommended. You can Enjoy somewere Else. Food here is not the best you can Have. Sovlaki chicken skewers are super small. Sides are regular side. Also salad dressing had too much vinigar, Shawerma is no Good. Full of skin and not fresh. Environment is standard but not looking fresh

Prices are now higher but the food portion was cut in half. Food taste was no longer what it used to be. Will not go back.

Fantastic staff but the prices are ridiculous. Greek food is simple, not sure why its so heavily marked up. Lettuce is cheap, potatoes are cheap and rice is worth pennies. Paid $60 for 2 souvlaki and 1 wrap.

I came here yesterday with a few colleagues from work for dinner break, and I have to say we were massively impressed with the professionalism, how friendly the staff was the food was amazing. The salad was fresh The chicken was so tasty and great portions size and very fresh. It was so clean such a great experience, and will definitely be back and I must say I used to come here in the past, and it s definitely a must! They have new ownership because it was never good before!

If you order here prepare to spend alot 25-30$ per person if you get a classic platter with 1 pork skewer and 2 sides then they dont have it ready so they will grill it for 10-15 minutes and the taste is meh not like Jimmy the greek

Place has gone seriously down hill since the Chinese owner sold. Ordered a gyro pita no onions and no tomatoes got home only to find onion and tomato on my pita and I didn t even get the feta they changed me for.

Not recommended. Very expensive + small portions. There are many Greek restaurants better than this one.

I called to place an order at 11:20am on a Tuesday and was told to call back at 1pm because they had 3 orders and no one can take my order. What?!?! What kind of restaurant is this ? I offered to come in so I can order at the store and she said we are too busy preparing the 3 orders . Awful service Service

Absolutely disgusting establishment. Do not eat here if you value your life. Only eat here if youre looking for a unique method of suicide. I came here to testify against this cess pool of a venue, and that proclamation encompasses both food and management staff. I witnessed staff members cleaning the bathroom and then preparing food with the same pair of gloves on. This place currently has two signs on the front windows saying Help Wanted and the reason is clear. After a brief conversation with one of the employees I found out that they exploit their workers and do not pay them for training. Completely against the law and criminal exploitation. This place should be shut down.

Purchased the family pack with 8 sticks, large Greek salad, roasted potatoes, 4 pitas, rice and 4 cookies. $71 including taxes but very good.

Very polite staff. Clean takeout area. No major mistakes with my orders. Thats all I can really ask for in 2023 :)

Worst services and food.

We have been ordering from this location for 3 yrs now and never any problems other than a grumpy delivery man Today was disappointed Placed our order at 5pm so my lil toddler boy can eat supper for 6 A lady called back at 5:40 to say this is too far (6km) So there will be a $25 charge Restaurant is at wellington, my exit is Bloomington ...1 exit I though this was ridiculous so cancelled and picked up BK after finishing dinner at 6:45 delivery lady shows up. After we mentioned we cancelled she then offered to remove the fee :s Very very unhappy with Restaurant trying to gauge me Im thinking maybe this could be because about a month ago we complained about delivery man not being masked at my door

Fantastic food quality.

The food tastes good but the portions are awful! I ordered a large side vegetable and it was hardly enough for two people. Other Mr. Greek locations stuff so much into their side orders. Really disappointed to spend so much on so little.

I will not eat here anymore. The owner dropped a few chicken skewers on the ground, picked them up, looked around and served them to the guest in front of me.... I asked him why he did what he did and he shook his head, turned around and ignored me.... Very sad that the owner does this and doesnt even acknowledge what he did when asked about it. I used to eat at the Aurora Mr Greek on a weekly basis and I loved it! Ever since the new management took over the service has gone down hill. The portions also reduced significantly since the new management took over. I see alot of other comments that would suggest Im not the only one that thinks this way. Very sad, I used to love this place!! I dont recommend this place anymore.

Our family loves this place. Food is delicious, portions are large and service is superb. Owners always welcome us with great heart and do their best to accommodate us. Our 8 months old loves when personnel play and walk with her. Overall, this is our no-brainer place to have great food and service.

They have food! Which is very important. With out food you will die. There for this should be classified as something that can save your life.

Great place to get some greek food the portion is good a bit pricey $$$ the only thing is that this place has no Moussaka and the staff is not even greek its not the way it used to be all the greek restaurant I have been to has everything in the menu this location Im a bit disappointed.

I regularly eat Mr. Greek, I was in Aurora, and went to this location. Quantity is so little compared to other Mr. Greek, I will not recommend this location. They charge me around $15 ( roundup) but the quantity is like nothing I am putting pictures of what I got. Please please don t go to this location and waste your money.

I feel like I got robbed. 20 bucks for a drink, 2 little souvlaki, and 4 tiny potatoes. Are you kidding me? I hope they pay their staff $50 an hour for these kinds of prices. What in the hell. I haven t felt this ripped off in a long time. An absolute joke. I m honestly flabbergasted that I just paid $20 to still be hungry after. Never going to another Mr Greek location again, I m not interested in being scammed.

Went for lunch, food prepared quickly. Food tasted very good but lettuce was a bit soggy. Overall enjoyed the meal and would recommend.

If you like salty food this place is for you. Holy cow everything was salty the chicken , potatoes. Had to drink ton of water while eating. And for the price I was excepting at least a decent chicken souvlaki. Do not recommend this place unless you want a salty dinner or you want high blood pressure.

I tried this location this week and was disappointed. One star for friendliness, one star for cleanliness, but the food portions were shocking. I looked in the bag and thought they forgot half my meal but it was all there. Have since gone to Jimmy the Greek and the portions were quadruple the size and same price. Also better quality food. Seem like nice owners and staff but need to warn my fellow consumers as there are other better options for Greek if you re looking for value.

Extremely slow service. Called in for a pick up order and 50 mins later still not ready. It s normally ready in 10mins or less. No explanation, no apologies, no customer service. No customer service at all despite trying to talk to the staff about it several times. Really disappointing. I ve come here dozens and dozens of times over the years. Not a way to treat a regular customer. No apologies when I finally got my food.

Ordered food advised of time that needs to be delivered. Called and said we are very busy. Great for you now my son has no food to eat and has to work. Try to save you money and not order from skip the dishes or uber and this is the service wow. Gave another try. Order came wrong. The owner was nice enough to bring the new order but wanted the old one back after we opened it.. This is not sanitary after a customer has opened the container!

I got food poisoning from the salmon and UberEats wouldn t give me a refund. I called the restaurant and he offered me a special discount next time. I won t be back.

Every single time. Mr Greek Aurora goes above and beyond and makes delicious FRESH Greek food! I ordered at 8:50 in a weeknight, and I was pleasantly surprised that everything my family ordered was incredibly fresh. Plus our chicken souvlaki was huge! Lots of sauce on the potatoes and rice! I ll never stop ordering from you guys, thank you for delicious food every time!

Picked up 2 falafel plates here last night and was very disappointed. Falafels were dry and hard, bland rice and salad. No flavor. No wonder they have a 3 star rating.

Very unprofessional!!!! We had placed an order around 11:30/12 for a delivery at 6:15 pm...at 7 oclock we had called them and asked what is taking so long since our food was suppose to be delivered at 6:15! The girls on the phone said there was traffic and that they would be here soon ( there is no traffic and I live right behind them) next thing you know 7:30 hits we call again because now our food is more than an hour late, they now tell us food is being made, not only did they lie to us about the delivery but our food was not ready and all the manager had to offer was COOKIES im sorry what? Food was late, they lied, not even a discount or anything and he didnt even add the cookies never recommending this place !! EVER

Do not order from this restaurant!. They are 100% unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful to their valued customers. I have ordered from the Aurora Mr. Greek almost a dozen times and while every delivery was late, the food was cold and the portions were way too small, I still oddly enjoyed their food. I never minded throwing it in the oven and heating it up once in a while. However, today is the straw the broke the camels back. I ordered from them today for my sick mother and the employee that picked up the phone barely knew how to locate my address or even spell it out (even though I have from ordered from them many times and offered my phone number) As the employee pulled away from the phone to speak to her manger, I heard him say plainly No I dont want to go up there He began to give his employee, a hard time all the while, I was still on the phone, I kept telling the employee that my name and address was in their system but he (the manager) was too (Lazy) to get our food delivered. After several minutes of silence and fighting between the employee and the manger over the phone, I was told my food would be here in 30-45 minutes and that it would cost $36.42. 20 minutes later, I get a rude phone call from the manger saying, I am sorry we dont deliver to where you live (which is an outright lie since I have had Mr. Greek many times delivered to my house) This is obviously, an unorganized business who doesnt value their customers. I highly recommend from the other reviews, which are all consistent to stay very far away from this restaurant. My next step is complaining to their head office

Food is good. Not seeing any offer of contactless delivery and deliver person didnt wear a mask.

Restaurant is not sanitary in the slightest, floors and carpets are filthy, the bathrooms appear to go untouched. Food is routinely late and cold, and delivery staff are extremely unprofessional. Half of my orders are either missing items or contain the wrong items.

Love the food here but very disappointed in the service today. With covid and the world of curbside pick up being everywhere now, I placed my order 30 minutes prior to showing up to pick it up. Once arriving i had to wait over 20 minutes for my order to be made. 3 customers ordered food onsite and picked up their orders well before I received mine. The POS system needs to be fixed. Orders placed online should take priority over walk in orders. I try to do this to avoid having to wait inside a store. This is very disappointing and needs to be addressed.

The dining experience at this location is not a full service table experience. We had to go to the counter to order and pay, and our food was delivered to the table. If you are part of a small group, the booths look OK, although dated. We were a larger group and were seated at a large metal table with metal chairs, all of which had been painted white. Service was reasonably quick and the food was good.

The customer service needs improvement. The food quality is just average. I don t recommend this restaurant.

Tonight I ordered the family special online for delivery. I was prompted to tip, which I did. Upon delivery, I was given the machine to pay by debit, and was again prompted on the machine to tip. I found that strange, and mentioned it to the delivery person. I was told he was separate, but it was ok whatever I decided to do. So what would you have done? I tipped again, but called the store right away to ask about the double prompt for tip. I was told that wasnt right, and the manager would be told. I chalked it up to a learning experience. The manager called me to get details and showed up at my house to return the second tip, explaining they would put measures in place to prevent that from happening again. So Im happy! I told the manager I was really impressed he took the time to fix the problem. The food is amazing and I definitely want to continue to order. I just want to tip once! Thank you to the manager and staff at this location for making it right!!!

Customer service so bad and rude and owner so bad

Souvlaki pork was tough, rubbery, and not fresh. Fried kalamari not crispy and oily. Greek salad smaller container than usual. Not worth the money spent. Every disappointing experience!

Been here 2 times. Both times found hair in my souvlaki platters. They always seem to mix up the sides that go with the meat. Been difficult finding a good Mr. Greek location the last few years.

Ordered for a business lunch today. $150.00 order. 2 salads were missed and all of the tzatziki. Fair, were human and mistakes happen. The problem is the customer service. We called to inform two salads were missing and the tzatziki. The lady on the phone claimed she packed the salads and tzatiki, we double, triple checked all items. With none of the items to be found, she continued to argue with us and say its in there. To the point the woman said its packed, and hung up on us. If this is customer service, then you dont deserve a $150 order. It was a simple mistake to own up to. The lunches lacked many items within the plates themselves. Rather disappointed in how the situation was handled by the franchise itself. Especially when youve dropped $150 for a lunch meal. Terrible customer service, disappointing.

Horrible burgers.. frozen paddies that doesnt even taste like meat.. havent tried much else here but the burger was a big disappointment that I couldnt even finish eating.

The food here was flavourful. Portions was decent, the price however seemed a bit high. Recently was spacious and had a good bit of seating options. The staff was friendly, however I notified one of the staff members I was going to the washroom and when I got back my plate of food was gone. The manager was nice enough to give me a complimentary meal on my next visit.

We ordered online, it was simple, easy and only took a few minutes. We were able to add the tip onto our bill and pay with debit when the food was delivered. They forgot my coke but I really didn t need it anyway. When I called, they offered a free coke and cookie the next time we order. Our lunch consisted of two huge Greek salads with gyro meat on the side. One salad and one container of meat was enough for both of us so we have lunch for tomorrow too. I would gladly order from Mr. Greek again.

Waited for an hour for an online pick up order. They were out of potatoes and white pita and could not fulfill our order. How can a well known restaurant chain not be prepared for the influx on holiday weekends. I will not order from there again. Very disappointed in the service.

Well I picked up my order last night and when we got home unpacked and and was ready to eat when my son sees a staple in his Gyros Dinner. Called a couple times and no answer. I called again today and once again no answer. I just wanted to let them know that they shouldnt be stapling bags where they are doing the prep when food container are still open and not sealed . Would have been nice if they answered the phone but instead they left me no choice but to leave a review.

Nice, clean, cozy and popular Mr. Greek. The atmosphere is friendly and sociable. There is parking for cars and there is also a special parking for disabled people ... There is a toilet for men and for women separately. The waiters are friendly, they work quickly and professionally... The cooks cook tasty and healthy food, in a word, they are professionals in their field... My wife, children and I really enjoyed it, we will definitely come back. I recommend visiting the service at the level...

Was okay.. salad was very plain, meat was great though.

Staff was friendly and welcoming. There was a slight mix up on my order (sauce on rice instead of on side) but the staff quickly and happily replaced item and my food was delicious.

Spent $50 tonight. Pita wraps are snack wraps. They are TINY. Order calamari (biggest regret) for $17 you get 8 rubbery deep friend rings and NO TZAZIKI. Spanakopita was bitter. Greek fries were disgusting. Even the ordering process was terrible as the young girl answering the phone knew absolutely nothing about the menu or inventory. Would never eat here again.

15-20 minutes is not Express service. Ordered Souvlaki dinner takeout at lunch time and they said it would take 5-10 minutes. OK, after 10 mins a few people sat at a table and ordered the same thing. Within 5 more mins they were eating and I was still waiting for mine. I asked the cashiers and they told me its coming. The food was pretty tasty but the salad is too small for the price.

So delicious. We had a veggie platter and the felafel platter. Sooooo delicious. Felafels were a little dry but they tend to be wherever you go. Highly recommend.

I went the the location in Aurora. The food was good but I feel like I got ripped off. They dont have all the items listed on their menu at the counter so I just told the cashier what I was looking for since I couldnt see it on their menu. I asked for 2 souvlaki sticks with Greek salad. After I got home, feeling like their food was a bit overpriced for the tiny souvlaki sticks and a salad ( about $18) I decided to look up their online menu and noticed that they have a meal listed on their menu with the 2 sticks, salad PLUS a side of fries etc for $14.50. I paid way too much for less food. Obviously the cashier didnt care enough to point out the better deal. He wasnt friendly or helpful at all. So although the food was good, the service is much better at the Greek food place on Wellington.

Im sure the food tastes extra good with all the dirt from the floor, since they serve pitas that they drop on the ground. And the cook, he likes to clean his nose, but not has hands before touching the food. Offended? Yes, yes I am.

I went here with my boyfriend some time back. The food was not very good, restaurant could have been a bit more hygienic. Dark atmosphere - dim, definitely not authentic greek cuisine.

Horrible, disgusting restaurant! Found a hair in my food, when I brought my dish up (since everyone behind the counter) were ignoring us, I was told me problem and they would replace my fries but 2 employees started talking to each other saying they didnt see an hair. Only person they cared was the waitress that brought out my replacement fries. I was completely embarrassed and disgusted.

Service was ok but food was only 1 star. I had the souvlaki chicken and the chicken wasnt overcooked but was hard! Like the hard that makes you wonder if its real chicken?! The texture was off and I ended up leaving the whole plate there. The side veggies were soaked in butter/oil. Tasted good but could have done with less butter for sure. Overall just one star because I wouldnt go back there. I thought it would be better greek food than food courts in the mall but Ill rate food court Greek food higher than here:(

Menu items and service was great.

Ordered take out for the first time from this location from the online order form. Delivery was fast but they messed up both mine and my wife s order. Not sure how you can mess up someone s online order when it contained no special instructions and just selected options, twice to boot. Food tastes fine just wish it was actually what I ordered.

Terrible service. My girlfriend and I went there for dinner. When we got there ,there was only six other customers. We sat there for 15 minutes and no one ever came over to our table to ask if we wanted a beverage or anything else.

What a disappointing difference! Last night I stopped at the Aurora ON MR. GREEK to pickup dinner for my family of 3. When I had formerly lived there, this used to be one of my favorite places to get a delicious and nutritious fast food meal. When I got home and unpacked our food I was angry to find that my daughters greek salad was missing, we had been short changed on our dressing packs and all 3 of us found our souvlaki to be tough and very over cooked. This was not what I expected after spending $55.00!

Tzatziki appetizer: Massive bucket of tzatziki with 1 pita to feed 4. $1 extra per pita if you would like more. Given the price it should come with more. But it tastes good so Ill keep buying it.

Tried to order a chicken caesar wrap over the phone. They made it seem like I asked for a roast pig with the apple in the mouth... took them 10 mins to figure out what I wanted yet its right on there own menu. Ended up going elsewhere

I went Saturday night with my family. I wasted my money and time. Customer service is awful. Nobody care that you are waiting for them. The food quality is not good and price is not worth. They bring our drinks after two times follow up when our foot is done.

Good as always but my take out order was missing 1 item. Called and they put a note with phone number for next time free item.
