We had our Christmas lunch at Casa Carbone and it was a great experience!

Casa Carbone is a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Italian cuisine. Went with a group so we shared a variety of apps, pizza, mains and desserts to sample a variety of the menu. Everything was fantastic - my highlights were the burrata and parpadelle al funghi. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. The service was outstanding. Highly recommend!

Do you need a place to REALLY celebrate a birthday party for an adult, with family and friends? Go to Casa Carbone, in Aurora, Ontario. I was amazed by: the cordial and timely attention from the personnel of Casa Carbone, the family ambiance, the cleanliness of the restaurant and private spaces of the restaurant, the quality and variety of the food. The food and service were great. The pizza sauce had such a clean and fresh texture. Everything is freshly made and so delicious. We will definitely come back again. The only issue: the salt garnish on the focaccia bread was a bit on the salty side; other than that, the rest of the appetizer it came with was so good to eat. The kids loved the homemade porchetta.

Ive had the pleasure of dining at Casa Carbone multiple times, including hosting two private events, and each visit has been exceptional. The food combines classic Italian flavors with creative flair, making every meal special. My wife and I have enjoyed dinners there, always leaving satisfied and impressed. The service is outstanding, with the owner personally ensuring you feel like a VIP. The atmosphere is perfect for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings.

We had a fantastic experience at Casa Carbone - a charming casual Italian restaurant that truly deserves five stars. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the owner, Vince, who made us feel welcome and at home. Our waiter, Claudio, was exceptional - his recommendations were spot-on and his service was both attentive and personable. The food was outstanding. There were 8 of us and we ordered a variety of dishes - from appetizers to pizza to the main dishes and dessert. Each dish was presented with care and full of flavour. The pasta dishes were fantastic, the pizza was excellent with a light and crispy crust and the ribeye was one of the best steaks Ive had within the GTA. The ingredients are top-notch and it is evident the dishes are made with passion. It was my 2nd visit to Casa Carbone but the first time for everyone else in our group. The perfect blend of great food, excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere. Thank you Vince and Claudio for a great experience! We look forward to seeing you again soon!

I took home their frozen lasagne recently and OMG I ve never anything like it! I m pretty picky with my lasagne and this is now what I compare all others to. I crave it, have to go back for another! Great thing to have in the freezer just in case you need a meal to impress, or as a comfort food. We ve enjoyed eating here many times, it s true that you get what you pay for and it s very hard to find such good quality food so close to home.

This is my husband and mine favourite restaurant for date night! Servers are so friendly and the atmosphere is always so nice! Highly recommend!

Hidden gem. Great food, unique beautiful flavour on the sear of my steak. Its from their wood/charcoal oven. Pizza was great, owner and staff are friendly and attentive without being pushy or intrucevive. The vibe is nice relaxed and comfortable. Nothing negative to say. We will be back.

We had been looking for a place like this for so long. We grew up eating great Italian pizza and this place is a gem. Amazing pizza and calzone and amazing service. They took good care of us and were super sweet to our little one. We are definitely going back again. We love this family atmosphere where people seem to care about the people there and about the quality of the food they make. Thank you!

Very friendly staff but food was disappointing

I was going to come on here to complain about their disgusting service and overpriced meals. After seeing the owner s responses to every bad review, I feel like I don t even have to. Vince must have forgotten his professionalism in his oven along with their overcooked pizzas.

Had a great time here and enjoyed the charismatic vibes from the servers here. They make you feel like family. I really enjoyed the Affettati Misti and the Ribeye and would recommend these dishes. The only dislike I had was the Mortadella pizza but that s mainly just because of my preference for non-sweet pizzas.

Disappointed

Excellent service and food. We have eaten at this restaurant many times since it has opened. Always good. Vince and Chris do a great job with the food and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

My wife and I have been coming to Casa for years and can never go wrong with the food, service and atmosphere. Vince and the entire team at Casa always go the extra mile. One of the best unique Neapolitan pizzas in the province. Keep it up team Casa!

What can I say, a total rip off scam they got going on here. I came here for a business meeting as I heard the food was good. Let s just say I left still hungry, this place charges astronomical prices for the portion sizes. I ordered pasta and got two small handfuls, it was like an appetizer portion. They charged 35 bucks for it same with the calamari, couple bites and it was done. The person I was there with on business looked at me when we saw the portion size and we just started laughing. We actually went and got a burger down the street after we were done lol. The pasta wasn t anything special either. This place acts like they re a Michelin 5 star restaurant. Thumbs down. Response to owner: When people know they re ripping people off they get offended and hurl insults when called out, as this bozo is clearly doing in his response. He mentions over glutinous customers, however when Something is a literal appetizer portion size as apposed to a meal portion it doesn t take a genius to notice it. There are plenty of high end homemade pasta resteraunts that will serve a fair portion for the price they are asking. To name a few Vivo, Terra, Sud Forno, Eataly, Familia Baldassarre. I would encourage you to learn how to use a scale when portioning out your pasta meals (which I can tell you probably don t have the brain capacity to figure out) or you can maybe just stop being cheap and give your customers what any other home made pasta joint would, a main meal sized portion of pasta.

Great presentation. Decent Tiramisu, ragu & pizza could have been a home-run if it was well seasoned. The octopus was old smelling (served after mains arrived as they forgot & were very apologetic) but that s what you get for ordering seafood on a Sunday so that s on me. Lots of cutlery noise as we sat right by the kitchen. We really wanted to be wow d but left underwhelmed. Might try again in a few months to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Our pizza was way overcooked, they didn t make it right. We asked for a substitution of an ingredient and we were told chef doesn t do substitutions I find that very annoying, it s my money and taste buds, am I offending you? Honestly had I read the owners responses to reviews would have never given them a penny.

Great evening with the family and had an amazing time

My husband and I have lived in Aurora and regularily passed this restaurant without thinking much of it because of its location in a strip plaza. Assumed the same was just a small take out spot. We were so wrong! After seeing somebody we know post about the restaurant we decided to give it a try. The atmosphere inside is completely completely different than what we expected. The restaurant is quaint and well decorated and has a really nice vibe. The service was awesome, everyone greeted us as soon as we came in and explained the menu in detail. Staff was super friendly, attentive, and helpful. The food was amazing! This was not your average Italian, it was Fine dining with creative thought out dishes. Everything was cooked to perfection with the perfect al dente pastas. We had the porcetta pizza (the dough was crispy and airy and delicious and the toppings were perfectly balanced and so fresh). We also had the Bigoli duck ragu (juicy, meaty and so flavorful with such simple ingredients) and the Lamb Tagliatelle (this was the MVP I m very picky with lamb and it was not gamey and delicious in a creamy tomato sauce). We can t wait to come back as they have so many more dishes we want to try but the portions are so generous we couldn t even find room for dessert this time around! So happy to have such a great, quality and authentic Italian restaurant so close! Sadly no photos because we dove right the second the plates hit the table!

Let me start by saying the staff and service here is amazing. The pastas, steak and pork chop was really good but the squid ink pasta was the best dish Easily the best restaurant in Aurora/Newmarket area.

I took my father here for his birthday dinner and have to say this place is a gem. The service was outstanding and the food was first-rate. The caesar salad was unique in its dressing and taste. The 16oz steak and Lamb Ragu was also excellent. This was our first time but well definitely be back.

Wow. Just had fabulous experience at Casa Carbone. Food was delicious. Very flavourful. Not just your typical pasta. Flavours and textures were well thought out. Steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. You can see and taste the quality ingredients used. Staff was fantastic. Attentive and hospitable. Atmosphere was also cozy and inviting. All in all, a great dining experience.

Just go! The food and service is phenomenal. Everything is amazing. But the pizza, god its SO DAMN GOOD. Listen, if youre looking for commercialized cheap Italian, dont go here, this is the real deal and its worth every penny. If you want a food experience, youll get it. I would eat here every day if I could. Theres not enough s to give. Highly recommend.

Outstanding! Took my elderly parents for dinner and haven t seen them so joyous in years. Food, ambience, staff: the whole experience was wonderful.

We went here 3 weeks ago. We wanted to try out a new restaurant with our friends and given the high review rate, we were optimistic. The first red flag was when they were low in stock of food items such as Caesar salad, lamb chops, and certain ingredients for cocktail drinks, etc. But you know, its best to give people the opportunity rise to the occasion. And with the current issue in the economy, I can understand the possible challenges with getting food items on time. Food arrived, appetitizers and cocktail were good, not worth the prize. Pasta was not provided as advertised on the menu, didnt taste that great, but manageable. I mean, this is where I wished I would have gone to Don Alfonso 1890 or Tremonti Ristorante (which Im definitely going to just stick to these places). Sorry, but Ive had better experiences (and these are places you definitely call a high end restaurant). Service was decent in the beginning. Server looked grumpy but you know, you cant judge a book by its cover. Well in the case, things went sour with the server at the end of our dinner. Lets just say, he wasnt happy with the tip $$, made it well known that he wasnt happy with it by voicing his opinion to the guest and obviously to his colleagues, lightly flinged the reciept at us . He made it seem like we gave nothing. I think we were very generous considering the experience we had from the beginning. FURTHERMORE....lol yes it gets worse, he wasnt happy we were speaking in different language and server got upset and said we should stop (I know, I wish I was exaggerating but Im not). Truth be told, what was said in the language was, what happened? Is everything okay? This was directed to us by our guests. It is a freedom of speech. We wouldnt have a problem if he was speaking to his colleagues or other customers in his own language. Oh well. Overall, I wish the Owner of the restaurant best of luck. Perhaps, server was having a bad day. Unfortunately, we wont be visiting again. But I think what sucks more for them is that we will be deterring away some of our friends from reserving this place for a social gathering. All the best.

We have been here several times and the food and service never disappoint. The owner always makes a point of saying hello, a really nice touch! We have had the steak tartare, grilled calamari, caesar salad , squid ink pasta and pizzas. All have been excellent. The food is always consistently good.

We tried this place because of its high reviews, but we didnt think of this place as anything special! The chef s salad was basically some arugula and odd dressing that tasted very bitter! The pizza (with mascarpone cheese) was ok- i LOVE mascarpone cheese but this was some sad tasteless white dollops of nothing on pizza ! Ravioli was so bland, it lacked much flavor! The only good thing was the dessert although for such small portions, it is way over priced but at least it tasted good! The waiter told us they make everything scratch in-house, but i think the chef need some culinary lessons to give the food some life and taste, presentation of food is good though. Also the service was wayyyy tooooo slow! About 1 hr and 15 min wait till we get our mains. The waiter was nice and I dont blame it on him, it was obvious he is trying his best. Overall, way over priced for what you get, super slow service, and bland tasteless food (except desserts). Wouldnt come back and wouldnt recommend.

For the price we paid vs flavour and quality, this place was just ok. They had great service- the staff checked in often and were friendly. We ordered a Caesar salad and it was just a plate of partially wilted leaves, tossed with some dressing and it was $20! The margherita pizza wasnt very tasty as the dough was a bit hard too.

After do the pizza review here over two years I decided to go back with some friends to celebrate my birthday. Vince and the crew hospitality inn restaurant in their blood from the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty. Besides the service being great the food was excellent. We had the mixed fried antipasto. I have the casa Carbones pizza and it was excellent. The tiramisu was fresh and very very good. Compliments to Vince and the team this is a great spot on Aurora

Overall the food was just ok and the portions were fairly small, especially for the price. We had the gnocchi di polenta and it basically just tasted like meat with lack of flavour/salt and there didnt seem to be much mushrooms as stated in the description.

Caesar salad was ridiculous and they re recommended as a different Caesar but let me tell you, it s just lettuce with a garlic sauce and that s it ! For 20 bucks !!! The quality of meat was not good at all. They only know how to have an Italian gesture and nothing about food !

A true hidden gem! From the excellent service to the amazing food, we had a girls night and it did not disappoint. Our server was so welcoming, attentive and we were treated like family.

Simply amazing!! Celebrated my husband s birthday, the meal was amazing. The fresh selections were so evident. The presentation was breathtaking and every bite more tantalizing than the next. The owners and staff were so very friendly made us feel like family. Amazing wine selections and my husband is the picky one. This is the first time he didn t complain. Highly recommend this restaurant. Dietary restrictions: The Chef accommodated our 8 year old. Even mentioned he could prepare something else of her choice. It wasn t necessary. She definitely enjoyed the butternut squash ravioli. Parking: Plenty of parking. Kid-friendliness: Yes there were babies at another table and our 8 year old daughter was very comfortable.

Food was good, srvice and atmosphere are top notch

Had to come here due to the high ratings but was unfortunately disappointed. This place is way more expensive than youd think, Ruth Chris prices - for the pictures attached and a glass of house red wine and a coke...the bill was $300, yikes! Note the prime cuts of meat are listed as market price. Rick was nice but came out of nowhere to start packing our food that was being taken to go while we already started doing it ourselves. It was just so awkward, and no one asked. Karen forgot to bring the wine, had to ask 4 times, the place wasnt even busy. So that was unfortunate. The filet mignon I ordered medium rare came out medium well, so I had to send that back, ended up being $70, so I hope it didnt go in the garbage.

My partner and I visit Casa Carbone regularly. When we moved to the area, a friend of ours had recommended it and since our first visit, we have never been disappointed. In fact, the menu and overall experience continuously gets better (not even sure how thats possible given it was a 5-star for us from the get-go!). Casa Carbone exceeded my expectations and provided an exceptional dining experience, it is now one of my favourite restaurants to go to. The restaurants contemporary atmosphere is stylish and inviting, creating a vibrant ambiance. The menu offers a delightful selection of artful Italian dishes that showcase the chefs creativity and skill. From perfectly cooked pasta to mouthwatering grilled meats and seafood, every bite was a flavor explosion. The wood fired pizzas were a highlight, with thin and crispy crusts and fresh, flavorful toppings. The knowledgeable staff provided excellent recommendations. The service was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcomed and well cared for throughout the evening. Went here for a baptism party. Loved it. Everything had a nice flavor as it was cooked over charcoal. Steak was delicious and pasta was fresh. Owner is very passionate about his restaurant and was on his feet checking in with everyone constantly. Showed passion and care. Not from Aurora but if Im in the area Id have dinner there for sure.

After 6-7 years going here, we no longer live in Aurora, so a 2.5 hrs drive south( for other stuff too,lol) was soooo worth it. CHEF Chris creations ( apps, tartar, bruschetas,Best Caesar salad I.T.W!), entrees...RISOTTOS TO DIE FOR,,Sharing Menus, wood Pizzas from scratch oooo flour, ,steaks! Fish! Boar, veal chops! The food was surprisingly ordinary to me. Pasta was badly prepared. Pizza was so so. The service was even worse. From the moment I entered the restaurant till when I left, I have never felt welcomed. My planned dinner turned out to be a disappointed experience. At least I know I will not come back again and can remove it from my Want-to-go list.

Very disappointed! Went with my family of ten to celebrate 2 birthdays! Owner did not have the decency to visit our table. Menu had little to choose from! Pizza oven was broken so no pizza or bruschetta salads were disappointing as the descriptions were not accurate. Radicchio salad tasted burnt! Cesear salad was only romaine leafs without croutons or Parmesan cheese. Honestly, they say chef is from Italy, if you re a true Italian you will be disappointed. Skip this restaurant and go to Joia!

Food is unbelievable! The service is fantastic. The best restaurant I have been to in many years. I was in this business for years. I was totally impressed. That doesnt happen often enough. Vince & Chris, the owners were a delight. Rick was an absolute gem. He took care of us like family.

Sunday evening dinner with friends. Arrived at restaurant without reservation and were greeted with open arms. Owner greeted us at the table and was genuine in how we were, where we were from and the reason for our outing. Vincenzo, the owner was out of this world in service and making sure everything was perfect, which it was. The food was all made in house and fantastic. This place is a hidden gem. You must go here instead of franchise restaurants, you won t regret it. Absolutely a restaurant to revisit when we are in the area again. 5 for service, quality of food and price. My family and I came in as a group of 6 + a very active toddler. The staff were amazing and very accommodating with the kiddo. The mains were great, and the desserts were very interesting. We will definitely be returning!

Finally an authentic pizza in Toronto. The gnocchi exceptional. Just go in sit down eat and see how your mood improves.

Lively, contemporary open kitchen venue in one large open space. Good cocktails, Prosecco, fresh pasta and dessert. However, the Caesar salad specialty that was pushed by our server wasn t anything special and the fish dish although nicely presented as a wrapped present was hugely disappointing dry and flavourless and the most expensive item on the menu at $63! Limited options for anyone with dietary restrictions. Very mixed evening. Overall impression: Overpriced and not worth it, felt like a chain rather than authentic Italian.

Wow! Definitely the best Italian restaurant in Toronto! I didnt know what to choose from the menu, because they had a lot of extra ordinary dishes to offer and the special dishes were amazing, Everything was tasty & creativity All the stuff there is welcoming people & always with a smile on the face, Definitely in good vibes. Well where to start.. decent atmosphere. Service was a bit loose for what the end bill commands. Ordering a 75.00$ 10oz steak which I had to take the word of the server as there was no price for this on the menu and on top of it having to pay for a side that ranges 9-11$ (Believe that?) You would think a piece of garnish .. something would be on the plate without a price tag.. I mean it s a 75.00 steak that really didn t represent anything different than what I could have bought from Kloster s and cook myself. 10 oz and was flat as could be. I chose the Caesar salad and wow it really did come as a side a small half a child s hand of salad. Very shocking. Wife ordered pasta no complementary bread?? Ordered bread 12.00 wow -the tally of the bill was 300.00 I have eaten at many places and for an extra 100-200 I would have been better off at the Octagon. (which I may add provides bread at the table) Best yet the table for two is the smallest table for two I ve seen. In my view the restaurant is in a strip plaza across from McDonald s you should be more appreciative towards customers who are willing to spend the money and not take advantage of getting all you can monetarily speaking. I mean it s a small enough place to have ownership come to the table to ask how everything is I do t like working for my meal when I go out let alone thinking if I am getting burned on what I just paid for.

This was our first visit back post-pandemic closures, and we have to say this place hasnt missed a beat. If anything, theyre better than theyve ever been, and thats saying a lot. The space is lively, the service is excellent and the food is top notch. They have an interesting menu that can appeal to a wide variety of tastes. You can tell that the people that work here love what they do, and love making sure their guests have a terrific experience. Highly recommended.

It was our first time experience yesterday and it was just wow!!! It s our favourite and most delicious restaurant from now. Do make a reservation because it s always full . Everything we ordered was amazingly designed and tasted orgazmicly !

Fantastic food from appetizer to main to dessert! Pasta was delicious and pizza stayed perfect from first bite to last. Attentive and very friendly service that makes you feel like you are amongst friends. Food is overpriced as others have mentioned (higher than average prices and small portions) which is too bad.

We had a great dinner. Everyone in the group had something different (pasta, risotto, pizza, salad, steak) and everyone loved it. The Ceasar salad was completely different from any other Caesar, the pasta was cooked (and sauced) perfectly, and the wine and drink suggestions were excellent. Great waiter too.

The food was delicious and the service was friendly and authentic, which isnt that common. The pizza was unlike any other Ive had anywhere. The dough was soft and the tomato sauce was not sweet or pasty like the usual marinera. The calamari and shrimp app was really delicious as well. They had homemade ice cream, the vanilla was incredible! This is not a fast food, bargain restaurant so it is pricey.

From staff to food, this is certainly the best Italian restaurant that I have been to in Canada. All the dishes are prepared in-house and were explained in detail by the staff. Great wine selection as well.

Amazing! Chef Christopher Thompson does a fantastic job at making your palette dance. Many different layers of flavor on each plate from appetizers to dessert. Rustic Italian leaving room for the ingredients to have a voice. Service staff was super friendly and on point. Even the bussers kept an eye on everything. Vince and Sergio put a lot of work at the front while Chef Thompson runs a tight ship at the back. To be able to keep a top quality experience on a very busy night says a lot. Thank you for such a memorable night!

This place is an absolute gem. I have travelled through Italy extensively and I can say, without hesitation, Casa Carbone makes the finest Italian food outside of the homeland. I feel absolutely blessed that this place is located in Aurora so I dont have to make the trek down to college street. You always feel like you are the owners best friend when you walk in. The service is relaxed yet professional. You are never rushed here and the glasses are never left to go empty. I know I sound like a paid advertisement, but the truth is, I am just a normal dude who enjoys the hell of this place and I am hoping you do too.

I cant believe a restaurant like this is in Aurora! The food and service are outstanding. We had grilled calamari, fonduta, squid ink pasta and calzone. Everything was amazing. Cant wait to try the rest of their menu. Truly am authentic gem.

Very good. A little pricy. The fritto misto was excellent and included smelts. I had the Mahi Mahi and it was a little over but still tasty. The corn sprouts garnish were very interesting.

The pizza was awesome. The desert was awesome. But I cant help but feel cheated on the pasta. The portions of everything were good except the one dish we ordered. Beet pasta stuffed with something. Taste was excellent but when you order a pasta dish for $36 you should have more than 7 small pieces of pasta. They werent even ravioli size, they were mini ravioli size. I did complain to the waitress and all she said is, its a high end chef. Id say the restaurant is fairly priced, even cheap for the quality. But, because of that one dish we got screwed on I wouldnt go back. Shane it looked like a nice place.

Such a delicious and unique menu. All three courses were fantastic and beautiful, my boyfriend and I enjoyed focaccia for an app, the raviolo all uovo and caramelle for main and shared a deconstructed lemon dessert. Will absolutely be going back! Service rocked too.

Good quality of the ingredients. Stuff is very friendly. Dessert is regular, it can improve so much ! Place It s not cheap, needs to be more flavour ! The presentation is good. Kitchen is soooo slow to get the food ready between courses for sure we wait at least 25 min! It s take so long to have a simple dinner ! Waiter bring the bill wrong twice !! My husband was shocked when he saw 400 something plus tip. The bill got Down 200 after both corrections but still expensive 318 dollars for pasta only ? No meat, no anything extravagant. I ordered olives and burrata for appetizer . Last thing the place is sooooo noise ! My God it s a dinner without talk!

I don t know how people dislike this food or the service. Every time I ve gone it s been nothing but top notch. The pizza, pasta, focaccia and calamari are always delicious. Give it a try and you won t regret it.

We went for dinner and would go back absolutely anytime. The staff was so friendly and the food was incredible. Parking: Lots of parking in the plaza. Kid-friendliness: The server was so welcoming to my son and custom made the pizza to include all the toppings that my son wanted.

We came here on the basis of all the positive reviews but were disappointed with the overall quality. The Carbonara dish was far too peppery for what we would expect a Carbonara to taste like. The pizza was bland and the salad was underwhelming. Overall it s not terrible, but this restaurant is premium-priced for what is being served.

We went to Casa Carbone for dinner after it has been recommended to us by a few friends and family members. It did not disappoint! The food was delicious (the best pizza I ve ever had). And the service was unbeatable. Our server made sure our glasses were never empty, was very attentive and friendly and even made recommendations for next time based on what we like. Amazing! I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Well definitely be back!

Absolutely disgusting service, we came in with another couple and when we asked for 2 bills the waiter complained that we didn t tell him in advance that we will need 2 bills, then when the first couple paid the waiter complained about the tip. We got extremely offended and asked for the owner, the owner came and just told us that he should have not said anything like that. The owner didn t care at all. It s gets better though, the waiter also complained that we were speaking in our native language. Please remember that if you decide to visit this resteraunt please make sure that you will only speak in English or else they will call you out on being rude.
