Plates & Bowls in Aurora

I had their veggie Samosa, Butter Chicken, Achari Chicken, Nihari Chicken and Tandoori Chicken. All dishes had their own unique taste and very authentic. I will be frequenting this restaurant as their food was quite tasty. Also, very reasonably priced dishes. I Highly recommend them.

The first thing I get when coming through the door is a generous sample plate of a bunch of their dishes, since I was new to the establishment. Everything on the sample plate was delicious, so it was hard to choose, but I opted for the tandoori chicken. This dish, and the two side salads I chose made for a perfect lunch at an affordable price. All this, plus the exceptional service by everyone behind the counter, and Im left with an experience I wont soon forget. Blown away! Theres nothing else quite like it in Aurora.

I love this place! On our first visit, we were offered 4 curries to taste before we settled on our decision. The Achari chicken and the Nihari chicken were both fantastic. The coleslaw was delicious! Not a mayonnaise dressing maybe yoghurt? Also enjoyed the beet salad and chickpea salad. We dined in. On our way out, we purchased two samosas to try. They were also delicious. We returned to buy a dozen more samosas so the kids could take them for lunches. When the kids tried the samosas they asked to order the curry and naan deal for take-out dinner. Three visits to Plates and Bowls in one day! This is going to become a regular place for us. Awesome service, clean, but simple atmosphere, amazing food.

This is one of the best places to eat and just simply walk into in general. You immediately feel welcomed and they have THE BEST staff. They have the absolute best food and impeccable service. I recommend this place to every single person out there. There s something for everyone between the amazing hot meals and delicious salads. Plates and Bowls Aurora has never disappointed me once since it opened and have treated me so well and they ll forever have my business, even if I have to travel to go to this location specifically.

Incredibly friendly staff, gave us little samples of a variety of items so we could see what we liked! Everything was delicious, we settled on tandoori chicken, mango lassi and a samosa, it was all excellent and the price was very reasonable - highly recommend!

I discovered this restaurant after shopping at Walmart and I will definitely be back! The service was amazing! The owner let me myself and my husband try the food before ordering, and it was amazing. We got butter chicken, and even my toddler loved it. This restaurant will be one of our top spots now.

First time here and it was AMAZING!! Slap you in face flavor bomb. The guy lady and guy working there were so friendly and explained every dish. Very fresh and healthy ingredients. I will definitely be ordering from here every week.

i enjoyed their tandoori chicken and butter chicken..you dont get a lot of meat but the sauce was good.... the beef shawarma i was sold was full of fat and over cooked. Im very disappointed.... they should not sell a product of such low quality.

The manager was extremely welcoming and gave us a sampling of several dishes to help us decide. The food quality and quantity were both excellent! I had shawarma here, I eat shawarma almost everyday..been to many other places but the quantity of meat is least over here,chicken tastes like rubber .They don t even have tahini or hummus sauce.Over all the worst shawarma i ever had

Awesome place close to where I live. Definitely will come back again. Food: Food was amazing, it was my first time and they offered me free samples of their food. Most restaurants dont even offer that and when you order youre kind of stuck with what you got, but not here. Service: Service was great, the guy who helped me answered all my questions about the food and helped me on what food would be good for me. I got the Achari chicken bowl which was a different kind of spice than Ive had before. Atmosphere: Atmosphere was great too. As soon as I walked in the store I smelled an amazing cocktail of spices from what they were cooking on the grill and being made in the pot. I dont know how much more authentic you can get from smelling those spices as soon as you walk in the store.

I must say I was skeptical of trying this place.. but was so pleasantly surprised. I had the tandoori chicken with a chickpea salad and ordered a side of their pasta salad. Chicken was so tender and the flavour was on point. Salads were delicious. Portions were more than great (I got 2 meals out of it.) especially for that price. I took off one star because ordering online you don t have the options as you would going in..(Apparently you get 2 sides with your meal and there are more options.) I also found the rice a bit overcooked and soggy for my liking. Overall, I can t wait to eat here again!

My family and I are visiting from New Jersey, and we were at a loss of where to eat dinner. We decided to come into Plates & Bowls and immediately felt welcome. The workers offered us a free sample as we did not know what to order. They took the time to get to know us, and we absolutely loved the food and mango smoothie. We are coming back tomorrow for the lunch special!

Small place and 5 stars for cleanliness and not necessarily for ambience. It is not fine dining. Dropped in on Canada Day and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered a few items and was offered samplers. On Canada Day Butter Chicken was on special for $5 only! I returned and ordered the Biryani special for 6 people. Great value for $35. Generous quantity with 12 pieces of chicken - enough for 10 people. The tray was expertly packed, kept warm for me, was ready on time and the service was impeccable. The young lady got it delivered to my car. She always has a smile and is very pleasant. We had a neighbourhood potluck and all enjoyed the biryani. A special thanks to Ps and Bs. I also tried their Chicken Nihari and I feel it is the best dish they have with Biryani a close second. Mind you the Nihari is spicy as it should be. The taste is authentic. I was there a third time and will continue to visit. One caution, do not judge them for their falafels. Not taste and not price/value. Want the best falafel in town? Go to Joes Hamburgers on Yonge and Elgin Mills. Falafels as they should be, large, fluffy, fresh and delicious. Ask for unassembled so that they dont get soggy in the pita wrap. You will be back to Joes again and again. Cant beat the value either. Dont say I did not tell you!

Really delicious and fresh food with tons of healthy side/salad options such as beet salad, chopped slaw and pastas. The tandoori fish is excellent and worth the extra few minutes it takes to cook.

This place was great. Our son tried this for lunch and said we had to try it. WOW. We did not know what was what, so they gave us samples. It was hard to pick. Everything was so good. This is a must try. We have already been back.

Pleasant front desk staff, very clean area, fresh and clean vegetables, tasty and high quality food with a good price. I am the king taster and bad food bothers me right away. I enjoyed my food , Tandoori Chicken wrap, yum yum. I highly recommend this place. I don t need to drive far away, 10 minutes to my house. I devoured my wrap so no time to take pic.

Picked up dinner for myself and my dad last night. My dad had the tandoori chicken and I chose the butter chicken. My dad absolutely loved the tandoori chicken with some of the garlic sauce on it. It was fresh, juicy and extremely tasty! The butter chicken bowl was great! All the ingredients were super fresh and very tasty! One of the staff members gave me a sample which was extremely helpful since everything smelled so good. The service was also amazing and the staff was extremely pleasant and kind. Will 100% be back to try more of their menu!

I just tried the place for the first time. The gentleman who runs it is a welcoming man and he had no qualms about taking the time to explain his menu to me. The food was good and affordable.

Welcomed by some great staff who were willing to explain the menu and top choices on their menu. Reasonable prices for the portion size. I would highly recommend the tandoori chicken with garlic sauce and a green coriander sauce.

Wow, where to begin. Bottom of the bucket customer service / professionalism. Total incompetence regarding pickup service; nothing was ready. Forceful upselling. Brown meat. Food taste OK. I would avoid this location like the plague. I would choose any other location, and given my experience over the phone with this location, I might boycott pickup altogether. Go in person for a reasonable experience. Delivery service is the definition of atrocious. Put it this way, I should have been charged 20, but I was charged 40. So I payed the 40, so I could be guilt free in giving this review. Dismissed.

Ate hear for the first time. Great selection of Mediterranean/middle eastern food. There was such a selection that the owner gave me samples to try. I ended up getting tandoori chicken, a chickpea salad, and a mango lassi. Portions were quite big that I was able to eat it for two separate meals.

This is my absolute favourite place to eat!! I highly recommend the butter chicken! if you like something spicier, definitely try the nihari chicken (with naan to dip )

The gentleman serving us was very friendly! We didnt get his name, but he made recommendations and gave us samples! Its the kind of service that is hard to come by in todays busy world! We brought our 1 year old, they have high chairs and a great space to sit even with a stroller/car seat. The food was delicious and a great amount for the price! The mango shake is a great taste with the authentic spices. Great experience with my family!
