we ordered Polpo alla Griglia (grilled octopus), Funghi (mushroom pizza),and Anatra (duck breast). Very tasty!

Shout out to our waiter tonight who duggested I get a special drink which was not in the menu. I enjoyed it and we all enjoyed our night, celebrating my husband s birthday. It seems the menu has changed because we couldn t find some dishes we used to love but the food was great anyway!

Service was fast and caring with a smile. Waiters attend you frequently so you have an excellent experience with the meal as well as the great ambulance. Parking g no hassle. Go see for yourself.

Octopus and Fungi pizza were great. Friends enjoyed the seafood pasta and chicken. Service was great, but I felt the food was a little underwhelming and small (I found the Pappardelle a tad bland) for the price. Still had a great time and would go again to try other stuff.

Where do I start, booked a 7pm table, took 20 minutes to get seated, kind of defeats the purpose of booking. Youll know who I am, 2 tables from the entrance to give you a clue... Main course, 1 hour after appetizer, 1 hour! Ive never had this garbage in my life anywhere, then you serve the blandest seafood pasta on the planet, whats with that? We brought friends from out of town for a 40th birthday, embarrassing! Yeah we got a few free desserts, pretty standard Keg type offerings for a crap meal, weve been coming here for years, not anymore, this was a go to. Server was nice, but I sat for a while with empty drinks on more than 1 occasion. You have my details and Im pretty sure youll remember us. Oh and it was over $300, luckily the Filly was still serving after!

Amazing food and amazing service! I tend to sit at the bar, and their main bartender Alex always makes the best drinks. He made a halloween special that was ...To..die...for... lol. Rachel is my usual server when I sit on the bistro with friends. Shes super helpful and we have the best time with her. She has the best jokes!

Vibe is great here but the food and menu selection has gone downhill over the years. They had it perfect years ago but keep changing the quality of the food and menu items that it s just meh now. Especially considering the prices they charge.

What amazing service and food. We had 2 hours before our table needed but the kitchen was slow so they comped up desserts and also a gift card! The waiter and manager were fantastic and so apologetic. The seafood linguine was really good and so was the branzino. The cheesecake was to die for as well!

Locale Aurora is an incredible restaurant. They hosted my husbands 50th and the entire dining experience was exceptional. The food - everything on their menu is so delicious and presented beautifully. The service is top notch - Steven and the team cares so much about the dining experience of each guest and always goes above and beyond. Their cocktail menu is thoughtfully crafted. Friends and family always return because each visit to Locale Aurora is always perfect. Highly recommended. Dietary restrictions: The team went over and above to accommodate any dietary restrictions for my guests.

What a fantastic night. We arrived WAY early for our reservations and were seated within a few minutes. Were surprised with Prosecco for our anniversary dinner. Had INCREDIBLE Caffe Negroni cocktails (exactly if an espresso martini and a Negroni had a baby ). We heavied up on apps split a main and dessert - our server was AMAZING - not sure I got his name but really really amazing service - very knowledgeable and an incredible brand ambassador-he knows his stuff. Lovely vibe with live bass player in the background just a fantastic experience. Thanks for an amazing evening all.

1. Food: Never eat a burger worst than this one. The meat is dry & hard like a paper cupboard. (I can cook much better than them) The Chips...Even McDs fry their own food, they use something you can buy in Supermarket!!!!!!!! 2. Service is ok 3. Environment: Thats ridiculous, its like 50% full, but they put ALL people into a small space 1st (Obviously more easy for service). We said we like to stay inside, but they brought us to a place open to the patio. That means they do not care about customer experience (Or they never know what is it) Extremely noisy, Everyone is yelling to the others Dont waste your time and stomach Dont go there

Gem of a restaurant.

What can I say. We went there for our anniversary. The waiter was very nice and courteous but the food was not worth the price we paid. The pizza was warm and soggy and best. The grilled octopus was warm and extremely dry. The only plus is that my daughter finished her dish. We are not ones to complain to the waiter, you just look like an ass when you do but we will not be back. Be warned.

You can never truly capture the taste of food from Italy, but this is as close as it gets. Unbelievable food! Staff are very professional, and the menu is small, but well designed to be well handled. Never had a bad meal or even a disappointing piece of food anytime I ate there. Be prepared to spend a bit more than normal, but it is entirely worth it.

This place has the best pancakes for brunch. The food portions are very large and the food delicious. I love the infused coffee negroni.

For the price, this place does not deliver in quality of service. They rarely come by once your food is served, not once checking in on how the food or drinks were, and when I ordered another cocktail, (a less sweet version), she generously offered to take away the drink I was sipping, because in her words, I didnt like it. Very odd communication with minimal eye contact and inquiries like still nibbling? or another round? while this atmosphere offers a higher-end place, the phrasing seems contrary and kind of embarrassing. The lamest part was when they decided to shut down the bar early on account of not many diners. It was a Saturday night on a long weekend. So for those who wanted to experience a proper night, their night is cut short on account of the restaurant choosing its not worth it. In shorter words, this place is highly overrated. Some of the staff are polite, but most are either awkward and rude. The food is above average. Cheers.

Had brunch on the gorgeous patio. The food was delicious and the service top notch! Vince our server was so kind, friendly and helpful. He was amazing! Highly recommend their brunch.

Had a random dinner with my girlfriends in this fascinating place. My oyster mushroom was just wow and the server was beyond knowledgeable and attentive. My friend has a peculiar food restriction but we were happy to feel comfortable navigating around it with such a helpful server named Rachel! The service itself was unexpectedly on a high level, which unfortunately is not common in GTA.

It is so difficult to give them my business. They do not accommodate take out and walkins are a hassle for them. I give up - Joia always accommodates us and their food is just as good if not better.

The drinks are very good Went yesterday with friends. Food took an hour and a half to arrive. We ordered the food at 12 30 and it arrived at 2pm. We were offered free desserts. At 215 I told the waiter that I needed to leave by 230 so I will take my dessert home. The dessert never came on time. The steaks sandwich I had wasnt that great either which came with some overcooked greasy chips.

I can t recommend Locale enough! The food is always amazing each dish is a perfect blend of authentic flavours & fresh ingredients. Have been here both for brunch and dinner recently. Locale has sadly fallen from what it once used to be when it first opened. They obviously have a new chef, and the food is unacceptable. The service is also terrible. Unfortunately I will not come here again, after having had supported locale since it opened.

My friends and I came here for their brunch menu and the food was honestly not that good. We all agreed that the food was bland. I got the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and the bread tasted stale. The French toast was also just OK. All the other meals we ordered (fried chicken waffles, avo croissant sandwich & eggs in purgatory) were disappointing. We ended up having to return the fried chicken waffles because it wasn t good, and our server was kind enough to offer a replacement/take it off the bill. He even went out of his way to give us a complimentary tiramisu. Overall, the service and atmosphere were great. But I wouldn t come here for their brunch menu.

My family and I absolutely love this restaurant! From the drinks to the desserts, everything is to die for. The service is impeccable, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. Its always a pleasure dining here. Highly recommend!

Amazing food & impeccable service, this is one of our favourite spots in Aurora. It s so hard to decide what to order because everything is so good and enjoyable here! If you love mushrooms, get the misto di funghi and you won t be disappointed!

My son and I had a great dinner in a warm and friendly environment in this restaurant, which we enjoyed a lot. Also, Mr. Dennis, who served us, Khaya Mehban, was friendly and intimate, and since it was my sons birthday, I wanted to have some sweets for him from here. We have been a frequent visitor at the King City locale and never had anything short of an amazing experience. We decided to give the Aurora location a try and ended up walking out. I called in advance to ask if they take reservations for the patio and was told no. When we arrived there were 4 tables empty on the patio and another lady waiting to be seated. She had been waiting upwards of 10 minutes for a hostess. When I arrived, I asked 4 different people (over the span of another 10min) if a hostess can come to the front. When she finally arrived, there was no apology. She left to seat the other customer which took what felt like forever. When she returned, we asked for a table on the patio and she rudely said No, fully reserved until 9pm. No offer to be seated somewhere else (the restaurant was empty inside) and zero hospitality. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else, which is unfortunate because we were looking forward to it.

We made a reservation for 5 and was seated promptly. They do have a kids menu which is smaller versions of the main dishes. We had the french toast, chicken and waffle, pork belly benedict, and the truffle carbonara. The french toast was a bit disappointing because Im not sure if they made a mistake in how much cinnamon to put but it was way too much, coming from a person who loves cinnamon it was beyond my tastebuds. The service was amazing, they took it back and offered the chocolate chips pancake which we really liked. The chicken and waffles was probably one of my favs. Chicken was a good portion and well seasoned. My sister also noted that the waffle was really good. The pork belly benedict was ok. Our pork was not as fatty so it was a bit dry. The sauce was ok and I enjoyed the potatoes. The truffle carbonara, couldve been more flavorful. Very faint but pasta was cooked well. We also had this mango dragonfruit drink which was super tasty! Washroom were well kept and tidy. Kid-friendliness: They do have kids menu which are smaller portions of the main dishes. Pancakes are chocolate chip. Wheelchair accessibility: They have the handicap accesible entrances and washroom.

We had reservations for 13 people for brunch this morning. The service was immensely slow, disorganized and very disappointing. They got us the wrong drink orders a few times. Some had drinks and others were just sitting around waiting for theirs to arrive. And when they did arrive, it was the wrong order. So we just kept the wrong one, as we knew it would take so long for them to get us a new one. The food was cold and one person sent it back and it took them almost 15 mins to bring her a new one. I asked others in the end and they all agreed the food was cold, they just didn t want to mention anything earlier. In the end, I wouldn t return to this place. I liked the ambiance and wanted to have my best friend s bridal shower here. But after today, I will look elsewhere. I am sorry to write this review but I hope you will use it to improve your service.

Menu needs pictures because the food is very expensive and not worth buying. Limited to just pizza and pasta. Salads are very basic and you can t add any protein to them. We spent 100$ per person. DO NOT GET VERDE SALED.

Came here a couple weeks ago for my birthday. Unfortunately the food took over an hour to arrive. And we had asked multiple times and were stalled or repeatedly told that the food was almost done. The main issue I had was the lack of communication until we inquired about our meals. However, the staff was nice enough to take it off our bill and provide a gift card for our next visit. Food itself was alright, not really worth the wait but the drinks were very good at least.

You can expect consistent outstanding food and service from Locale. Locale never disappoints!

Danielle was the ABSOLUTE best! Her energy was contagious and she served with such grace. We were seated on the patio and it started pouring rain. She didn t skip a beat in helping us get seated inside. When it came to menu recommendations, she knew her stuff! We were pleased from the drinks, to the mains, to the dessert. This was my first experience at Locale Aurora and I will never forget it. Cheers!

Gotta love this spot. It was my best friends birthday request, so we made it happen, but lets be honest, this restaurant made all the magic happen. Dinner and dessert were DELICIOUS, hands down. Our waiter was as she suggested a few items which turned out to be bangers, so were so so very thankful she helped us out. For apps, we got the Sopressata pizza to share, which practically changed my name. Then we tried some Arancini rice balls, which made me forget my new name bc damn those were some good balls . I also ordered myself the Linguine Al Limone and ate every bite, so i highly reco. And for dessert, everyone has to try the Budino - the game-changer. Nice food, nice service!

Went here for the first time this evening, and was lucky to get Sam as our server. This experience was truly above and beyond! I ve never gotten this kind of service EVER. Sam took our order and timed for everything to come out in a way that was just perfect. Our table was always clean, with new plates and cutlery after each course, and his knowledge of the menu was incredible.. every selection was just wow We got the Amaro salad, Burrata appetizer, Tagliatelle pasta, Misto Di Funghi, and Tagliata Di Manzo steak, topped off with a tiramisu. The food was just out of this world. Everything about it was amazing.. I don t have enough of a vocabulary to describe this experience. 11/10. MUST GO HERE AND BE SERVED BY SAM!! Sam is what all service should be like.

Absolutely amazing appetizers and cocktails. However I was disappointed with the entrees. Not tasty at all and VERY SMALL portion (not that I could eat more of them anyways as we sent them back). Porchetta was dry and overcooked. I believe we had some Wild Boar ragu that was overpowered by Cinnamon, disgusting. Service was fantastic. I will return but going to stick to strictly apps next time...and of course the delicious cocktails.

Had dinner here for the first time Friday night even though weve passed by it many times. It was so good we wish we had visited it earlier. For starters we had the Vongole and Grilled Calamari, both fresh and perfectly done. Very impressed with the main courses of Branzino and Saltimbocca. The sea bass was tender with crispy skin and the veal was juicy and done just right. Desserts were delicious and did not disappoint. Service was top notch and made it such a pleasant dining experience. We certainly will be back.

Honestly the best food and atmosphere. We went with another couple and truly our sever she was the best. She was so attentive and her recommendation was on point. Locale has ruined all other Italian restaurants in the GTA for me. My girlfriend and I had a date night at this restaurant for the first time last week and the level of service, quality and flavours of the food and the tasteful decor was all so incredible that no other restaurant stands a chance. We had Rachel as our server, she was so attentive and professional with the perfect flare of her witty personality. It s like she anticipated every need and answered all of my many questions. She helped me narrow down which meal and this girl knows her pasta, I loved it! Thank you for making our first experience so magical, we will be coming back (we ve already been back and brought a couple of friends who were also blown away). The food is delicious and feels truly authentic to Italian cuisine. The ingredients are all fresh and nothing is over-salted to fool your tastebuds into thinking it s good. They also have an array of delicious cocktails to complement whichever dish you choose. Lastly the decor was a massive surprise to me. From the outside we didn t expect to walk into a gorgeous restaurant that felt like a speakeasy or a Jane Austin novel (depending on which room you re in). This is a beautiful date night, anniversary, birthday or any day restaurant and I recommend you go here. Go once and you ll be hooked. Vegetarian options: They have lots of vegetarian options. Pasta or pizza, you can t go wrong.

One of the nicer restaurants in the Aurora-Newmarket area. The pizza and spinach linguini were great. Their cocktails looked nice so my wife tried one. I think it was called too much thyme. It tastes good with a good mix of alcohol and lime juice. Shes going back there with her friend for dinner soon.

Went there for dinner last Friday. The Food was outstanding. We had the beet salad, grilled calamari, olives, knot bread and a signature dish which was shrimp and scallops. For dinner we had Sea bass and Lemon fettuccini. Everything was delicious, plated for perfection. Will definitely recommend and will be going back again

First time visit to this restaurant. Our gentleman who served us was knowledgeable, and an exceptional server. My birthday celebration was a memorable one. Thank you for being so attentive. As for the food...it was off the charts!!!!.

Honestly one of the best experience in fine dining so far. Staff members are really professional and food was extraordinary. Ordered a pasta, pizza and some appetizers. Pasta was not as hot as it supposed to be, probably because it was waiting on the pizza, and i quickly reflect to their staff. They responded quickly and made sure we were taken care of. This restaurant is not worth the money they charge per dish. To start everything on the menu is overpriced, underwhelming, generic with no taste or smell of Italian authenticity. Food is not made from scratch as Pasta is from a package and the sauce is from a container. No garlic bread, parmigiana or salt and pepper offered or on the table for meals. Served in cold oversized bowls. Pizza crust is from a package, sauce from a container and the toppings were all identical which indicates a food distributor. Overall don t go as there is no value for the money.

I went with my family for Easter brunch. Service & atmosphere were perfect. My 3 year old grandson was with us, children s menu choices were limited. Ordered French toast for him, it arrived and was far to busy and complicated with spicy syrup. He wanted pancakes with regular syrup. The children s pancakes had chocolate chips, he doesn t eat chocolate, no option for regular children s pancakes. He ended up with grilled cheese on a fancy bread. He s 3. I had a difficult time finding a food entree for myself as well. I ordered one of the Benedict s, I asked the server to ask the chef to keep it simple, & not add any additional spice on it. It came with chives all over the eggs. My adult son ordered the children s grilled cheese as he could not find any choices on the menu. Not easy to find a brunch place in Aurora/Newmarket unless one goes to a diner. We didn t want to go to a diner, we were hoping for a nice brunch that was simple but good quality food. Fantastic Italian restaurant! Food is always fresh, with the best ingredients! Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Would recommend for a date night out or just looking for some great food with a good vibe!

I was visiting from the USA and took some customers to this restaurant for dinner on a Monday evening. I made a reservation in advance and they will charge you if you don t show up for your reservation, so make sure you are going if you reserve a table. I actually like this policy because it prevents people from reserving multiple restaurants and just not showing up at some of them. The staff were really friendly and nice and the food was very good. I had the pappardelle with wild boar ragu and it was delicious. The grilled calamari appetizer was also good. The person with us who had the duck, said it was great. It can get a little pricey if ordering drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts. I don t have any complaints about this place, the food or the staff and I ll be going back again the next time I m in the area. Parking: We had a party of seven people and most drove 5 cars and no one had an issue finding parking on a Monday evening

Heard great reviews beforehand, and they were right! Incredible food, fun atmosphere, and great service from Sue! Arancini was the best we ve ever had. I had the risotto which was also so amazing. Wife had the seafood spaghetti and loved it. We got the margherita pizza and it was good, but not outstanding like the rest. Frankly wasn t as hot as it could ve been. Dessert was so good! The salted caramel one was very good, but very rich! Also got the donuts, with the carrot cake seasonal filling, and were amazing. They gave us ice cream on the side which was perfect for the warm donuts. Three great sitting areas too, secluded bar area up a few steps with TVs, the main dining room, and then another private dining room that could probably hold 15-20. Will be back for sure! Kid-friendliness: We didn t have our kids, but we saw a few and our server mentioned a kids specific menu.

This restaurant was fancy and shining. Salad and pizza were delicious, but we waited too long for the foods. My families were exhausted. Pastas were salty, duck and veal smelled like blood. Foods are little expensive . Kid-friendliness: Nothing special, just have high chairs.

I love Locale, they have good food, the server was very nice, he was taking good care of us. I had a craving for steak and was disappointed as it came burned outside. The manager was very nice and offered to order something else. I kinda refused, but she insisted I order something. I did order pizza and it was delicious, at the end they gave me the pizza for free and my glass of wine was free too. That was nice of the manager to do that. I will definitely come back. Mistakes happen, but its important how you deal with them.

We went here for lunch - the food was excellent and the service was great. My one gripe is that the menu is quite limited (which I understand is necessary in todays times), but they also wont do substitutions. I think it is tough to provide a limited menu and then also restrict people from swapping simple changes.

Brunch at Locale was great and is perfect for an elevated weekend afternoon activity! Our waiter, Sam, was lovely to have a conversation with and provided amazing service. We started with the primevera salad which was super fresh and delicious. Then the duck Benedict, definitely recommended trying one of the Benedict s (the hash was especially delicious). Highly recommend for brunch!

The service is great but frankly the food isnt great for the price you pay. I would say the salads are good but small portion.

Visited Locale for the first time for my birthday tonight with my friend. We were running behind but we were able to change our reservation very easy over the phone. When we arrived we were seated promptly and the hostess was very kind and I appreciate the coat check service they offer! We ordered the calamari to start and then I got the seafood pasta dish as my entree. Both dishes were so flavourful and also a great sized portion! For my birthday they brought out a complimentary dessert which was SO good, and then we also ordered the tiramisu to split. Food was delicious and our waiter Alexander was amazing! Would definitely recommend.

This place is a hidden gem. I seldomly give 5 stars for food, service, and atmosphere. This restaurant deserves it all. My husband and I have dined here several times and we have not been disappointed. We also invited guests to dinner at Locale Aurora and everyone had a very pleasant experience. They deliver high quality drinks and food. Did I mention service is exceptional? Pizza is amazing! My dad never eats pizza crusts devoured the entire slice without hesitation.

I don t normally give 5 star reviews but this place was phenomenal to go for my birthday. From the food to our server Sam and the atmosphere of the place was exceptional. Didn t find any flaws in the place and I tried but they raised the bar in every aspect. Everything was cooked with care and had balance of presentation with flavour. Will definitely be coming back!

Love it here. The food is amazing. Keep coming back for more. One of the best in York region. Locale is an inspiration to the north of the city with its beautiful menu, incredible decor and perfect service. A simple memu with 5 -6 dishes per category. All fresh and some seasonal items. The bone marrow and Pate are my favorite dishes. The pizza here is one of the best in the city of Toronto with an incredible dough and crust. The wine selection here is perfect for the size of the operation with bottles starting at about 50 bucks and moving up. The cocktail menu here is quite unique and they do some special twists on negroni. But the desserts dont fail here as they are extremely sought after and in most cases by the end of the night they are sold out for most of the items. From what I know everything here is House made from the pasta all the way to the desserts. I believe even the breads are all 100 % made in house. If youve never been here before, I highly recommend making the trip to one of the two locations. As the original restaurant is located in King City.

On a Saturday night we ate at their Aurora Location with our friends. Our Server Somaye was wonderful; her service and energy was exceptional. The food recommendations were extremely satisfying and tasty. Highly recommend this place .

Came here for dinner, we were seated upstairs. Good menu not too complicated, appetizers were great. Service was good, the server was serving the entire upstairs but you can tell he was a Veteran, he was attentive, made jokes, table maintenance was on point. The lighting was nicely dim, music was good, only feedback is we were seated by the stairs upstairs and on a cold day when the door opens downstairs it was cold, nothing to ruin a fun night though. We will be back! Parking: Inside a plaza, lots of free parking.

My book club met for lunch yesterday at Locale Aurora and it was excellent. Daniela, our server, couldn t have been more helpful in guiding, us through the menu and drink selections and meeting our every need as our get-together progressed. Throughout our stay there, I heard again and again how delicious the meal was and what an excellent idea my suggestion of Locale Aurora for yesterday s meeting had been. Today I continued to get many e mails from the group praising Locale Aurora and hoping we can all meet there soon again.

Locale is one of the best restaurants I ve been to in the GTA hands down. Lots of parking neat designed building. Service is superb, the food is amazing and the dessert is to die for. It s not a big restaurant but it s not a small one either. It has a dim environment like fine dining but still almost casual vibe to it as well. You gotta order the froccia bread to start. It s next level awesome. Their pastas are fresh along with their pizza. Not sure if the pizza is wood oven but it damn near tastes like one. For dessert, you MUST. I repeat MUST. Order the Budino (I hope I m spelling it right) . It s this cookie crumble base with ice cream and salted caramel. It s out of this world good. If I lived close to this restaurant I would come here just for this dessert. No word of a lie. If there is anything to take from this review, it s get the Budino and thank me later. Lastly the service is great. Our server was so friendly and welcoming. She knew exactly what we would like based on our preferences. Didn t pressure us to over order or rush us when we were a little indecisive. And when I left to use the washroom she folded my napkin for me. I thought that was a good touch of the service. If I could I would tive this restaurant 10 starts out of 5.

Been to this location a few times, however New Years Eve dinner was a huge disappointment! Service was impeccable! BUT, I had no issue with a limited preset menu, upon booking. The portions were that of a tasting menu, which was NOT disclosed! At $125 a person, it was robbery! Check similar reviews on Open Table.

This was our first time at Locale Aurora and we were there for NYs Eve. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was good. The food however was underwhelming. The size of the main course (cod) was about two tablespoons worth, it was tiny just like the rest of the appetizers. The food was bland. We were originally offered to pay extra to have a seafood platter but were told its not available. When we were leaving the restaurant we saw other people having the seafood platter so that was confusing, maybe they didnt have enough to offer it to every table. We would have been happy to pay the difference to have enough food on our table. It took over 3 hours to have the food served. With 3 drinks and prefix NYs menu for 2 (added scallops appetizer) we paid $400 and had to go eat dinner elsewhere after. We had high hopes for this place given the reviews but were disappointed with our experience. Perhaps it would have been better to try it on a regular night.

Delicious food, excellent service. Went with our baby and they were very accommodating. Im sure it helped that the reservation was before the dinner rush. We saw a few tables with children as well, so it seems safe to say its family friendly. But the vibe is definitely fancier than your average restaurant. Parking: Strip mall type location. The location itself is stand alone but its side by side between strip malls Kid-friendliness: 10/10 for kid friendliness, but would still consider this restaurant on the more special occasion side. Wheelchair accessibility: There were no stairs at the door or washrooms. All washrooms were stand alone stalls. Cannot speak to the specific special needs washroom.

Took my fiancé and parents to this restaurant to celebrate her birthday. This was the first time any of us had come to Locale , but all we kept hearing were amazing things from friends and family who had went previously. I had made a reservation a few weeks in advance just to be safe. We were greeted by Vince , who immediately knew that we were there to celebrate a birthday, and made sure we were taken to a nice private area of the restaurant. Vince had informed us that a family member had contacted the restaurant in advance to purchase the table an appetizer. Our waitress (sadly could not remember her name) was amazing, and recommended items that best suited our requests since this was our first time. We had a wide selection of appetizers and drinks , which were incredible. The burrata, calamari , focaccia and bread knots were so tasty. I personally ordered the secret pizza, which was so good I could ve had another one right there. My fiance tried the signature mushroom pasta which was so fresh and tasty ! We also had their signature desert , and boy that thing did not last 2 minutes (IT WAS THAT GOOD). The atmosphere and service was honestly some of the best I ve had in my time going to restaurants. We were never rushed to leave , and drinks were constantly replenished without having to ask. Thank you very much to the entire staff for making that night memorable for all of us, we definitely plan on coming back . Was so good! Heard about this place for so long! And so glad I finally had the opportunity to go for dinner. Everything from the food, service and atmosphere really was everything it lived up to be and more. In York Region it really is hard to find quality family owned restaurants that are not franchised or chains and I make the biggest effort to only goto family owned businesses and I am so happy I have come across Locale. I will 110% be back and be recommending to locals that have not been here before.

Really bad experience and can not be recommended. We came here for a family dinner for my moms birthday. We had to wait over an hour and a half for our food due to some issues in the kitchen. We had a 6 month old baby with us and did not plan to be at the restaurant for as long as we were. Our server did try to make up for it, however, with some free appetizers after my mother complained. The server was polite enough about it but still extremely frustrating. As bad as that was, what really was the deal breaker was the portions. For how expensive everything is, its not remotely worth the price. I bought the $25 linguine and literally finished it in 3 bites. Taste was honesty okay at best. Ive had better for much cheaper and much more. So, of course, after having to wait over 90 mins for 3 bites of pasta, we all left extremely disappointed and hungry. I see no reason to ever come back here.

The decor is beautiful! My mom and I just had lunch here and our server was Anthony. He is very attentive and ensured to check in on us often as well as clearing any dirty dishes. We got the mushroom pasta, grilled calamari and the fried calamari. All delish especially the fried calamari! There is both outdoor and indoor seating which is nice! Will come back soon!

Service I will rate the same or Locale might be slightly higher, because they gave us free champagne for our anniversary. Very sweet. In terms of price, This is one of the gem in Aurora, if anyone around the area should definitely give this a shot! Very well rounded restaurant in every aspect of a high-end restaurant, with low-medium pricing. They even got high chair too for kids!! That is definitely a plus with restaurants like this. Also, I love how they change their menu COMPLETELY base on the season. Keep people like us interest it, unlike boring Moxies, or the Keg have the same menu through the last couple decades good surprises is always good. Again, no restaurant is perfect, so if I have to point out something about Locale, I would say have some kid cutlery(restaurant like this doesn t need it, but good to have a few sets) expand the menu a bit with something SPICY and take dessert menu to a seriously, because the finish of a dinner is just as important than the App, and mains. Get the boar pasta... unreal-delicious. Pizzas ranged from pretty darn good to amazing. Grilled calamari was excellent. Burrata is bland and not worth it, IMO. Gnocchi were texturally amazing but the sauce didnt wow. Quality of ingredients are very high, but they have to be more careful with things like overdone-ness and bland flavours of some dishes at this price point. Service is excellent. Kid-friendliness: Not particularly kid friendly.

Came here tonight with a few friends after work for a quick dinner. It was our first time here and definitely won t be our last. The staff were all incredibly friendly, the atmosphere was nice and comfortable too. We had Ashkon as our waiter and he was exceptional. He knew the menu well, he was attentive and answered all our questions, and the way he explained the specials was so detailed and made us want to try them. Such a great experience. The food came out in a reasonable time and was fresh and delicious. Thanks for a great evening we will definitely be back :)

Walking into this establishment, it felt very upscale. The food was amazing. We ordered the veal pasta, and the truffle pasta, along with the fried Calamari, Shrimp and Zucchini to start. The service was impeccable from our server/bartender Jessica. She replaced our cutlery, folder our napkins when we went to the restroom and always checked in even when it got busy. I was very impressed. Only thing I wished was that she expressed that the Aioli was an additional charge when asking if we wanted it for the Calamari dish, but the service made up for it. Vegetarian options: They have menu options. Dietary restrictions: They ask if you have any allergies to accommodate.

Its a definite maybe, they try to be Italian but... its just not there. Would not recommend for real Italian food, as they try too hard to be posh and end up being 2 steps behind. Service was good.

Sunday brunch at Locale was amazing. Everyone really enjoyed their food and was satisfied with their order. Our waiter, Eric, was super friendly and accommodating and made our brunch experience even more enjoyable. Its the perfect place for dining in, with excellent food and service!

Very fond of western style food

This is an amendment and updated review from 3 years ago. We have returned to Locale Aurora numerous times after the pandemic and am happy to confirm that they have corrected the oversight problem with broken shells from the mussels. The spaghetti is cooked to al dente perfection. To further enhance the experience, ask for their homemade chili sauce if you like a little kick to your dish. ***** Ive dinned at Locale Aurora 2 times this September. On my first visit, I had SPAGHETTI FRUTTI DI MARE and the taste was quite delicious but theres a catch. I was alarmed when I saw one of the mussels with a broken shell sitting on top of the spaghetti. I decided to paid extra attention to every spoonful of the spaghetti I ate and luckily I was able to avoid chipping my teeth or to swollen broken pieces. In total, I retrieved 5 broken pieces of the shell embedded in the spaghetti. I did not address this to anyone at the restaurant since I learned not to speak when Im frustrated Other than the broken shell ordeal, I quite enjoyed the taste of the spaghetti so I wanted to give them a second chance. On my second visit, I once again ordered the SPAGHETTI FRUTTI DI MARE, this time all the shells were intact. Unfortunately a few pieces of sand managed to make its way into my dish Im writing this review so if you go to Locale, please be careful when you order their SPAGHETTI FRUTTI DI MARE. Best of luck

Ate here a Saturday night, had a reservation for around 7:00pm, took about 10 minutes to get seated, waitress was great with wine/drink recommendations. Appetizers, mains, and desserts were all amazing, Got the Frittura & Focaccia as apps, both were amazing. Got the Gnocchi Funghi as a main and was also incredible! Very nice atmosphere, would 100% come back!

I m very disappointed with the new menu. They no longer have bread on the menu. The focaccia isn t good at all.
