Have been getting pho and other menu items here for a while, but recently have been disappointed in what we’ve received. My last order, we got a crepe and brownie dessert for pick up, however realized both items were wrong when we got home. Most recently, we ordered the pad thai and spicy bao buns (something we have ordered multiple times in the past). When we received the food, I realized the spicy chicken bao was actually just frozen chicken strips on a bao bun with sauce drizzled on top. We were quite disappointed as this used to be a great dish. Maybe there has been a change in ownership, but that quality has gone down recently.
We visited this restaurant and loved everything that we got. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. We got Pho, and Banh Mi, followed by a shared crepe filled with ice cream and toppings and a Vietnamese coffee.
This is me and my fiancés favorite crepe! We always love coming here for the crepe because the portions are great and very tasty. We always joke about our crepe star crepe cravings ! The only issue we have is that there is a particular server that doesn’t seem to be at customer service, she seems like she doesn’t want to be there and has a bit of an attitude. But I don’t even mind because I come there for the crepe!
Great for casual get togethers and cute dates. I’ve been a couple of times with my family and they offer various board/card games along with a games room in the back for private parties. Food is great, lots of options from pho to crepes and cheese cakes. It’s family owned so you will taste the love in every bite, no matter what you order. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.
We decided to try this place bc we were too lazy to drive anywhere. The other Vietnamese restaurant we go to do not have delivery option. I know pho I've been eating at the best places downtown and Scarborough. This place was very disappointing. $13 for the amount of noodles and beef (pictured) that was given. The Banh Mi didn't taste that good. The meat was tough and tasted old. Definitely will not be ordering from here again.
Edited: for meat shown in the pic, ordered in Uber eat on June 09. and I did specifically asked for less burnt on the note so that’s why i have the perception it will always be like that. I still like the Pho and Spring roll. :) —- Have tried take out from this place several times so these are my experience … Price wise, their dishes are not cheap so I do have some expectations… Pho - Beef Special: the broth is quite good 👍 gotta say and very flavourful and not too much msg taste. The beef are average but the broth is worth the try Spring roll - tried both the pork and veggie spring roll , they are ok… Rice dish involved grill meat - in my opinion, I would avoid their grill meat because they are quite burnt for my preference. It taste and looks like the meat are precook somewhere and then thrown on the grill for the black grill mark, just my guess. It could be me but too burnt for my liking. I provided picture and you can be the judge, at least you know what you are getting and you can decide :) I probably will always come back for take out for the Pho and spring roll but I will pass on the grill meat after trying it 3 to 4 times in the past 6 months and they are always that burnt.
Came across this little spot by fluke. I happened to be in the plaza and wanted something warm. Dined in and ordered the Special Beef Pho and Chicken fresh rolls. Everything was delicious and the portions were great! The soup is HUGE! I ended up taking half of it home. Staff is very friendly and accommodating to some slight adjustments for my order. Very attentive. Clean place. Will definitely be coming back :)
I had a poutine with spicy fried chicken and a Vietnamese-style coffee for lunch. The chicken meat is soft and juicy. The level of spicy is acceptable to general customers. The poutine is also fine. The coffee is also refreshing. The waiter / owner is very polite and attentive. The washroom is very clean. Social distance is strictly observed.
Loved their Vietnamese coffee. Will come another day to try the other foods. Loved the service.
Authentic cuisine! Not just the food but atmosphere and everything. Ill be back.
Been wanting to try Pho VietStar for a while. Upon arrival I saw CrepeStar and was a little confused and then saw the Pho sign a little bit closer when I walked by. Initially, I guess I was just a little confused on what the main products they were selling as I saw ice cream, crepes, pho, board games, party bookings, etc. I ordered the pho special and it just wasnt what I expected, not that that is a bad thing but the noodles were not the same as the ones Ive seen in other google reviews. The pho had flavor and tasted pretty good, but portions were small, not much beef and a little too many basil leaves which I wish they couldve gave me on the side which other pho restaurants do. It was an ok bowl of pho, but doesnt stand out compared to other pho spots in the York Region. I was just moreso confused by the variety of selling points and wasnt sure what dishes or products they specialized in as I was thinking this was a traditional pho spot. Overall, experience was a tad dissapointing, pho was ok, portions and protein was small but there are too many other good pho spots to compete with in the region. My recommendation would be to consider just having CrepeStar as the main brand/selling item with pho as a sidekick option for customers to order.
The food was great, the desserts were amazingly delicious. The store was very clean. Great Customer Service Experience. Thank you.
First time at this restaurant. The pho tasted like instant pho package. The meat was chewy, and you have to ask for bean sprouts and basils from the waiter. We also order the shrimp fresh rolls, it was ok. The Korean bbq rice was not good at all. The two pieces of meat were overcooked, cold and chewy. Our serve was not friendly at all. It s not worth it. The price was high for the portion and quality of food that they offered. Definitely not coming back.
Amazing Cappuccino with big friendly smile from Amina Ali . Great Service ! Great Experience !
Crepes were good, the Pho was lacking.
I always Ubereats my order, but today decided to visit. Great service, great atmosphere and my Beef Pho was perfect! Will be back to explore more of the menu.
Ive ordered and dined at this location quite a few times and Im never disappointed. I would drive out of my way for this location and have done so. Highly recommended
They serve everything from Viet food to bubble tea to dessert, crepes, and beers. There are board games and private games room area as well. Clean and service is excellent!!!! Very interesting spot. Good for family or just come to hang out at night with friends. I would definitely come here again!!
Great place, delicious food, and cool concept! Theres also a nice selection of board game to play while waiting for food. Lots of traditional, fusion, and unique menu items to choose from. Will come back again & also recommend.
I hesitated because of some bad reviews but I really wanted a good vietnamese fried rice. OMG. First, 18$ for a small box. Never paid that much. Second, the rice was mushy and not good at all, like it was not fresh. Nobody in my family liked it so in the garbage it went. It is a shame to serve food like that.
Decided to try this place as our go-to Pho was closed at the time. We ordered 4 well done beef Pho. The broth was good. Thats pretty much it. The portion was terrible. A tiny scoop of noodles like its for a kids meal! The very few pieces of beef were swimming in the broth and was very chewy! The bean sprouts were not fresh that theyre brownish in colour. The included hoisin sauce and hot sauce were just a little squirt each. And each order is $14! Totally overpriced! Will never ever go back here. Do yourself a favour and go to The Joy of Pho or Com Pho Asia in Newmarket. Now those have really good Pho places.
Went here with our family. Really enjoyed our dining experience. Cool combination of pho and crepes.
Apple pie happiness
I would give this place zero star if I could. Sincerely, I was so disappointed! I have tried PH in Canada for almost 10 years now, and this by far has been the worst Ph ever. The broth tasted completely wrong. There was too little beef for the price. Not enough beans sprout and no basils at all. Overall, bad Ph . We also ordered Rice with Korean grilled beef. The beef was so dry. AND the worst thing was that they served us burnt rice from the bottom of the cooker seriously, which restaurant would do that? If you want to serve your customers rice from the bottom of the cooker (which you really shouldn t), at least put in some effort to break the rice so it doesn t look like that. But no, they literally served us bottom-shaped burnt rice. I was speechless. I don t even eat such rice at home. And I had to pay money to eat that. $18! Which again was totally overpriced for such poor quality food I am not here to bring any business down. But as a Vietnamese, I am so ashamed to know that such Vietnamese foods are being served out there. I am speaking this to the OWNER(S) specifically. Please, check on your recipes/ staff. Do not serve such foods to customers. I don t know if you are Vietnamese or not, but if you are, please take pride in your national cuisine and make sure the foods come out with some pride in them. I brought a non-Vietnamese friend today to show him the famous Vietnamese Ph , and it was a total disaster. I almost cried. I was so ashamed, and I had to reassure him many times that real Vietnamese Ph does NOT taste like that! I don t know if I came on a bad day, and that the foods are usually not that bad. Maybe it was just my bad luck. Anyway, it s worth spending some time to check on the food quality. I truly hope this will change. Thank you
Staff was ridiculous and uneducated I ordered something super simple and they gave me the wrong order multiple times, then they were going too charge me extra too fix the order (when they were the ones that messed it up in the first place) because they already made the food and then gave me my order and there was hair in it. Will not be returning.
Tried their pulled pork poutine, pretty good portion and taste. A bit on the spicier side but still neat. Would come again with friends. Edit: Tried other menu items, very generous portions, good price and the owner is a great person. Definitely recommend.
Food court quality food for restaurant prices.
INCREDIBLE!! Daniel Gao was the best server I ve ever had. The attention to detail, enthusiasm, and nobility was unparalleled by any experience I ve had before. Great environment with even better food. I come here every week for the pho, funnel cake, and board games.
Came here with family, I ordered the p1 meal. the broth they served was worse than average... overall was a hard to eat and tasted weird.
This place is horrible. Portions are small and the grill chicken rice was burnt. I would not come again.
Pleasantly surprised by how good their pho was! Its a dessert shop/vietnamese restaurant, which seems like an odd combination, but I definitely recommend trying their pho. Super clean and friendly staff.
Mid
Great place to have dessert and play games.
What a piece of ****. So they take a burnt pork and put it in a boiling water and call it pho. Omg it s absolutely awful. Give bad name to pho in general. Do not waste your money absolutely horrible
Great family run restaurant. Often short of staff it seems but, its so often the case these days. I have been coming here with family and friends since they opened in Aurora. We have enjoyed every single meal. It is costly, but its hard to find a cheap restaurant almost anywhere post-covid. Owners are pleasant hardworking people. NRK
portion small, waitresses took a long time to react to us raising our hands for service
The pho was amazing and so was the cherry blossom crepe desert. Also the service was really good, fast and very polite. Will definitely come again
I cant describe how incredibly disappointed I am in this establishment. Ive been eating here with excellent food and service for years, I recently came and ordered a chicken bah mi and fried chicken poutine. When I arrived home to eat my food I found that my fries were soggy and tasted like they were left out for a while. I didint mind that as the fried chicken and gravy tasted wonderful. The issue comes with the chicken bah mi, it was burnt to a crisp, I was eating and thought the incredible bitterness was from the greens but to my horror I opened the sandwich and the chicken was essentially totally black, I threw the rest out. As much as Ive been a relatively frequent customer in the last 5 years Its upsetting seeing quality decline, even if its just this one order.
Can t recommend this place enough! Amazing food and amazing staff!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pho VietStar, a charming Vietnamese restaurant, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. I opted for the Special Noodle Soup, priced at a reasonable 16 CAD, and it left me thoroughly impressed. First and foremost, the food was amazing. The Special Noodle Soup was a symphony of flavors, with rich, aromatic broth, tender slices of beef, and a medley of fresh herbs and spices. Each spoonful was a burst of deliciousness, and it instantly transported me to the streets of Vietnam. The portion size was generous, ensuring I left with a satisfied appetite. What truly set Pho VietStar apart was the staff. They were exceptionally friendly and courteous throughout my visit. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and valued as a customer. They were happy to answer any questions I had about the menu, and their genuine smiles added to the overall warm atmosphere of the restaurant. Speaking of atmosphere, Pho VietStar knows how to create a comfortable and peaceful dining environment. The décor was tasteful, with traditional Vietnamese elements, and soft lighting that created a cozy ambiance. It was the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing meal, whether you were dining alone or with friends and family. In conclusion, my visit to Pho VietStar was a memorable one. The Special Noodle Soup was a culinary delight, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the peaceful atmosphere made for a wonderful dining experience. Ill definitely be returning to savor more of their delicious Vietnamese cuisine. If youre a fan of Vietnamese food, or even if youre new to it, I highly recommend giving Pho VietStar a try. You wont be disappointed.
Their strawberry and custard crepe was excellent.
Not the real deal....
Love this place. Everything from fresh ingredients to great service to perfect flavour
Great ! never had it Viet food before !
Hot broth hit the spot on a winters day. Great food north of the city (Im a R.Hill girl). Ordered chicken wings/spring rolls and 4 bowls of noodles. I didnt eat all that but I could have! Delicious and to the point. If you havent tried I would suggest you break out of your comfort zone and try it out. Make sure to add fresh basil and a dash of lime. If you can handle the heat add fresh jalapeno either by biting it as a whole or cut them to size. Trust me youll be back for more. Great service and staff! Salivating by the aroma of the broth that I forgotten to take a pic of what I had ordered. Foodie at work!
Really enjoyed the food here and the staff is really polite and helpful. We had pho, spicy chicken poutine and pad thai and all of them we would have again. Recommend trying....
Awesome pho and noodles!!!!!! Best in the area
Very great quality pho! Even good chopsticks! Staff are attentive and kind. Thank you so much. I ordered the chicken pho and it was delicious to the last bit. I really appreciate the details were not forgotten. The chili was pleasantly hot, did not disappoint!!! Cant wait to dine here again. But I dont live here so will have to wait til the next time Im in town.
I have been eating PHO for over 10 years now .. def a special taste. Amazing food Everybody must give it a try
Awesome food, great people working there.
The Pho here is legit! The broth is fresh, clean and delicious. I was so hungry that I didnt take a picture...really just a reason to go back and get more. Portion was just right, and the owners are so friendly. If you havent been here, its the place to get Pho in Aurora! Im definitely coming back!
A bowl of pho always hits the spot here. When I crave variety my other go to is the Korean bbq beef on rice!
Very nice service and great food
One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. I ordered the Pho Beef Special which was really well prepared and tasty. I will definitely come back soon
Great food, good prices, excellent service, friendly staff I tried the veggie pho, it was so delicious! The boba was great too! I recommend the lychee jelly!
Very friendly, especially the owners. Will try their best to fulfil my special requests. I love their pho because the soups are hot. Hot soup is very important for noodles in soup.
Was hoping for a transformative experience to cure the late night Pho cravings. Boy was I disappointed. I ordered the duck noodle soup and what I got was a decent broth with floating duck bones that looked like leftovers. No meat and lots of fat and skin. When I asked for some pho beef instead I got more of the same duck bones. When I got my beef I received a pile of beef not fit for shoe leather that looked like it was nuked to death and tasted worse. After voicing my complaints and refusing to pay for what I could not eat, we were finally comped after the staff checked with the owner on the phone. Overall they should stick to Crepes, this merge of Pho and Crepes in one place was not successful. To some up PHO get it! Go to a real Pho restaurant and save yourself from this place. Also the staff was refusing to seat other guests at 10:15 when they close at 11:00 as per google. So late night is take out only as the staff needs time to clean up as I was told. They refused customers including a large party of 10. Not good for business.
Drove here only to be told they are closed 1 hour prior to closing time listed online. Update your hours online or have your staff abide by your hours of operation. Unprofessional
Hands down the best Pho in York Region. Spicy Beef every time! Do yourself a favour and check them out if you havent. An amazing family owned, local business my family, friends and I enjoy.
My family s hunt to find the go-to Viet Pho restaurant in Aurora / Newmarket / East Gwillimbury took us here today and we had the pleasure of speaking to the owner and hearing his story of how husband and wife got started. A heart warming story but the proof was in the Pho, broth, banh mi and overall service. The broth was fantastic, not you re usual fully loaded greasy and heavy MSG broth. The broth was extremely light and carefully manicured to order. The overall menu is very interesting and I couldn t resist ordering a bánh mì sandwich that did not disappoint. The bun was fresh and crispy, with the fries that was crispy and deliciously dressed. All items were reasonably priced and good portions that will bring myself, family and friends to this restaurant again. Kudos to Pho VietStar, the attention to detail of food presentation, seasoning and service is rare to come by with the pho restaurants.
wait too long to serve food
Soooo slow, bad service. if you want to wait for 2 hrs for something not good, just go. There are lots of good pho in Aurora. I will never go to this one.
Stop leaving bad reviews for your drivers! Every driver has bag. If he not bring it inside that doesnt mean that he hasnt bag
Delicious!!! Their vegetarian pho, veggie spring rolls, cold rolls, peanut sauce, vermicelli, pad Thai, and VietStar fries are all wonderful.
I ordered soup and some rools they send me a salad
Amazing food ! Vermicelli noodles served nice and cold with hot sizzling beef and chilled veggies just like in Vietnam.
Huge portions!!, Delish broth, wontons were very tasty and huge. Yummy butterfly shrimp appt, and the spicy seafood sauce is delectable. Lovely owners
We ordered the bao combo and banh mi which also came with fries, and it came out to SO MUCH food! We cant even finish all the fries. So happy with everything we ordered! Very delicious food!
I tried their Steak baos. It was on the pricier side at $13-$14 but I thought maybe for good quality bao its worth it. It looked ok, nothing special so I had a taste. The steak was too rubbery and my biggest issue was the cilantro. They hadnt even bothered to take the stems off so it was extremely bitter. The bread of the bao itself was nice enough. But the bitterness of the cilantro was just hard to shake off. I think a fair price for something at the quality is like $7-8, and I think they know that and justify it with adding fries. Id rather have a good quality Bao with nicely grilled meat, sauce, and vegetables for $11-12 than mediocre bao at best for $13 with fries. Ive tried Mii at yorkdale and Bahn Mi Boys and theyre leagues ahead in quality. I hope VietStar ups their game and focuses on quality and details.
Soup (large special pho) tasted off and didnt sit well.
Pho is really tasty, however, shout out to the best Poutine in Newmarket and Aurora area, nothing comes close, trust me I ve tried em all. Love this place! Customer service is top notch as well
I go to a lot of Vietnamese/Thai restaurants; I have a good baseline to draw from. The restaurant is rather small, they have one table available for dinning in right now, but even in non COVID times, they would not have a lot of area for many tables. The restaurant was relatively clean, the staff were pleasant, not friendly, but pleasant. The menu seemed very limited and the prices are far higher than I would have expected. I ordered the fresh rolls ($7.00 for 2), just to try the food. The rolls were smaller than expected, and not very good, I ate mine, but my son only ate halve, as they did not enjoy them. I came, I tried, I was disappointed, I will not be back.
Amazing poutine. Very friendly staff. Will go back for sure.
Made with love. Prove in the soap
Love the food!! And the owners are awesome people!!!
Just trying to be a fancy Vietnamese restaurant, but nice customer service I was really excited to have bao near by, but sadly the best part about the meal I had were their fries. For a Vietnamese restaurant, thats not what you want. My parents got the lemon grass beef and the pho. The beef was just marinated with soya sauce it seemed like. The egg feel a little flat too, there wasnt the nice crisp crunch on the back side of the sunside egg. The pho soup tasted like it was made from a powder. Also, the pho place near Bayview about 10min away, tastes better, is cheaper, so I dont think I will be coming back... Just not worth it with another similar restaurant nearby
I ordered a delicious beef pho. It was prepared very quickly and the packaging was greet for take out! The noodles came in a nice bowl with the brother/meat/other toppings on the side. Even hoisin and hot sauce came on the side. It was a delicious meal and I would definitely return to try other menu items. I feel like my bill came to about $17. or $18 but I think I included a tip. either way i definitely got more than one meal out of it.
Wanted to try and support local businesses. B6 I believe spicy shrimp bao. Bao tasty but one battered butterflied shrimp( not even done in house I believe Presidents Choice). Very bad taste left in my mouth from the tiny, small portion. $13.00 for two bao two shrimp a tiny portion of romaine and shredded carrot and a mound of fries. You gotta try harder.
Bao sandwich was delicious, amazing fast, friendly service, reasonable prices! Will come back with friends soon! Yummy (very clean, followed all protocols, they wear masks very safe).
First time being here. The service and food were amazing! Everything is fresh and wonderful.
Great service and excellent tasting food, will go back.
$33 for two little bowls of little, low quality meat and noodles?
We ordered noodle, shrimp , salad and spring rolls. All were delicious. We finished our dining with Vietnamese coffee!
The Baos are delicious the fries taste fresh and the customer service it s great :)
Amazing Baos and Bahn Mi Sandwiches, easy to order. All of the food tasted fresh
Terrible experience ... terrible managmanet
Decent place, a little pricey. Very good service
Nothing special. Way overpriced for just mediocre food. Broth was too salty and lacked flavor. The staff was professional and friendly. If I can sum this place up, I would say its the type of restaurant that you would find in a tourist location that serves sub-par food for huge prices. But this is Aurora and the price does not match what they are serving. So many better choices in Aurora.
I have visited a couple of times and have been extremely happy with my choices each time. I have had both take out and eat in and found the flavor amazing in each dish. I look forward to my next visit and trying new dishes. Staff was amazing, easy to speak to, and ensured all was good with our visit. All protocols were followed by staff.
Salty by both definitions. Ordered take out and received an underwhelming meal for the price. The beef pho did not include sprouts/herbs/sauce/limes which are essential for this dish. The broth tasted store bought, watered down, then salted. The lemongrass chicken with rice/egg was ok, but hardly had any protein. The other side of the large container was garnished with a tomato,2 thinly sliced cucumbers and a sprinkle of pickled radish/carrot/cabbage. The 2 fresh rolls was actually more like 1, they were small and a little hard on the ends. The only dish enjoyed was dessert, deep fried Chinese donuts with Nutella which is what earned them the only stars.
incredible food, very nice staff. great place. im going to rate 5 stars on multiple accounts
amazing food, great, kind staff, fast service, and a nice place. rating 5 star on multiple accounts
Very good Vietnamese rice noodle shop. The clerk is very enthusiastic. Rice noodles have excellent ingredients. The fried dough sticks are also delicious. Very good Vietnamese rice noodle shop. The clerk is very enthusiastic. The rice noodle ingredients are superior. Deep-fried dough sticks are also very delicious.
Worse than food court
Double check your order before leaving the store, they will make sure that they give you less than what you ordered. Ordered 2 noodle soups received 2 soups and 1 noodle. Smallest Pho noodle you can get from anywhere, not even enough for my 5 years old girl.
Best vegetable pho out there and super nice staff!
Great food, had the pho, bao bun and fresh rolls. All tasted delightful!
Amazing! Pho and vermicelli are delicious!
What a pleasant surprise! Authentic beef bone broth gave this Pho a delicious umami depth in flavor that I havent been able to find locally previously. The spicy noodle soup with real lemongrass was delicious and added a side of Korean BBQ beef. Yup that delicious BBQ flavor went right in. Great job keep up the good work
I was really excited to try a restaurant that boasted about authentic Cambodian/Vietnamese food. I don t usually write reviews but this was unfortunately one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I ve had. To start a typical small bowl of pho is usually $8 at pho resturants I paid $12 x 2 the size was no bigger than any other pho restaurant I ve been to and unfortunately the pho was cold and had no flavor it honestly just tasted like chicken soup broth. Both of the people who ate the pho didn t take more than a couple of bites before throwing it away. The other dish I ordered was the lemon grass chicken with rice, fried egg and salad for 14 dollars usually $12 at other resturants. The fried egg was missing and I got six small slices of chicken that did not taste like lemongrass.
I dont typically leave reviews, but I feel that in this case its necessary. The chicken pho was completely flavorless. The chicken was overcooked and chewy, and the broth looked and smelled like just boiled water. The beef pho was slightly better, but not by much. This, in addition to being overpriced, means we wont be back.
Hands down the best beef noodle pho in Aurora/Newmarket. I can t wait to try the entire menu.
Was so excited to try their new restaurant after loving Crepestar and all the food was so good! The mango salad was fresh and colourful, the fried rice was fresh with lots of veggies and the lemongrass chicken with rice was delicious. I wish they would add more egg to the fried rice and more mango to the salad because when I requested extra chicken, I noticed only a few pieces of mango, compared to the first time I bought it with lots of mango, but overall it was really good. I see some people saying the prices are too expensive but they posted about it on their instagram and explained why the prices are higher than average. Highly recommend you try both Pho Viet Star and Crepestar!
Best Pho Ive had in the GTA... Ive been to dozens of spots and this is tops! I had the rare beef! The beef bone broth is awesome. Most places over season / salt it to hide the lack of flavour but they dont need it here.
Cold noodles
The food and service was great! You can tell the owner is passionate about the food and you can taste the passion too! I ordered the rare beef pho and overall, it was delicious. The broth wasnt overly salty comparative to other places in York Region. 10/10 would eat again!
The owner is a great guy. He made my daughter and myself a terrific salad and I have been back twice, once in the restaurant and once for takeout. Both times I returned, someone else made them and thy were half the size This time of year the vegetables are so inexpensive there is no excuse for that when you are paying $13.00. Otherwise i would give them five stars because the food was fresh and the flavour very nice.
My number 1 restaurant was the Fish n Chips at yonge st and Wellington East (run by Peter and Phonda). But that all changed yesterday when my daughter and i went to this gem of a restaurant. This is now my number 1. Great service and the food.......absolutely delicious, fresh and oh my gosh........so so tasty. You have to have to try this restaurant. Lovely people and great food. Sooooooo im going to alternate between my 2 faves. Thank you guys. Awesome.
We ordered the pho special, spicy beef noodles, spring rolls, spicy grilled shrimps, and chicken wings. All of which were completely disappointing.. The broth from the noodle soups were boiling hot and completely bland. And the appetizers were not at all worth the price. Would not recommend. I would prefer instant pho over this location.
Tried Crepe Stars a few time and had an enjoyable experience. Was intrigued after hearing they opened a Pho restaurant in the same plaza of their Aurora location. I didn t have the greatest experience. The broth was luke warm and tasted very bland. The ingredients used also did not appear to be fresh. Service was okay, however the food was pricey and the portion size and ingredients were not justifiable to me.
We have ate here twice and enjoyed it very much. Its super homey and gives a sense of relaxation. The owners are also super nice thank you so much!
The restaurant is extremely small....only 5 or 6 tables. Unlike other pho restaurants there s only 1 size of pho and prices at $14 a bowl which is definitely on the high side. All the spouts, basil is already added to your bowl when it comes to the table. It comes with the smallest wedge of lime I have ever seen. We also ordered the chicken curry which was incredibly watery with the precook and machined sliced chicken breast you find in your local fast food salad. We order the fresh rolls and deep fried roll. They were ok....but whereas other restaurants give you 3 rolls you only get 2 here. Two Pho s, 1 chicken curry, both rolls and 3 cokes came to over $80. Completely over priced and honestly it wasn t even as good as other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. They also skimp on everything, sprouts, limes, basil....will not return.
Chicken pho . Was so tasty. Fresh and delicious
Ive been having Pho since 1997 all over the GTA and this place is the worst Ive ever had ,too much salt to start and the portions are meagre , couple scraps of meat and hardly any vegetables and they charge 13.00 dollars ,what a waste of time and money ,they will be gone soon .
Very overpriced for what you get
Had the vermicelli noodle bowl and loved it. Great spring rolls too.
Love the food here! Always fresh and the service is amazing. The fresh rolls are my favourite.
Ordered some food from here and have to say it was delicious!! Totally recommend this place :)
Pho soup was ok.. but Vomicelly was awful. Bitter and sour or maybe it went bad. Almost left it. It was the worst vomicelli I ve ever eaten. And only extra 3 layer of tendon beef was $5. too pricy for it. I wouldn t go back here.
Don t even know how in the World! This place has such review score..!!! ITS SO GOOD!!!! +5..!!! Came here yesterday and came back today. Yes it s that good.
Great owners, tasty food, awesome customer service!
It s our only go to for a Phó fix. A warm and cozy nook in the neighbourhood. Always great service and food is above standard. We have been there many many times in the past year and we walk out satisfied every single time. This is one of the few Asian eateries don t give me any msg reaction. Well earned 5 stars VietStar! Keep up the standard.
Great service and kind staff. The food was great - the vegetables on the vermicelli were SUPER fresh and the meat was cooked perfectly! Definitely will be getting more takeout from here. :)
