Nice restaurant. Tucked away in the Aurora area. they have a wide selection on the menu. They also have a lot of Frozen dinners. I decided to stop and try us the pizza. It was very expensive for a slice. 850 was way out of the price range. The pizza overall was okay. Nothing to Rave about or talk about. Yes, I can't believe it. $8.50 for a slice of pizza

We ordered takeout for our family dinner and we’re so happy with our meal! We tried the Gorgonzola gnocchi, the bolognese, a caprese salad, and truffle fries, and everything was delicious. Service was prompt and friendly, and we’ve paid far more for far less before. We’ll definitely be back to try more!
The best chicken parmigana sandwhich we've ever had! So good! so much better than the other local places/big chains we've tried, chicken actually seasoned, such great flavour! Pizza was really good too! Crispy but not burned very good toppings selections. Order was also ready quickly!
Had a pepperoni pizza slice and it was fresh and delicious. The crust was very crispy and soft and the sauce was well seasoned and very tasty. Will be back to try other things on their menu for sure!
Please take a moment to read my whole review as I attempt to paint a picture of how my family fell in love with this restaurant. When Piazza first opened a couple years ago, we tried them three times. As with many new restaurants, they had some growing pains and there were issues with all of our orders so we figured we would wait to see if they lasted and the kinks were worked out. My hubby and I decided to give them a try for lunch and we were pleasantly pleased and surprised. I ordered the Fresco sandwich and my hubby ordered an Italian sausage panino we also ordered a pepperoni pizza to take home. I was blown away by my sandwich! It was the biggest sandwich I have seen in my life. It was made on a beautiful focaccia bread which was light, airy and had flavourful herbs on top. The sandwich was absolutely stuffed with focaccia, basil aioli, baby arugula, fior di latte, artichokes, vine ripe tomatoes, prosciutto, prosciutto cotto, suppressata, basil, lemon parm vinaigrette. This was the best sandwich I have ever had and I could only finish half of it. I brought the rest home to my son who ate it for dinner and he enjoyed it as much as I did. My husband was thoroughly pleased with his sausage panino too. He said the sausage was tasty, juicy, the sauce had delicious flavour and the bun was fresh, not too doughy and was what he remembered from Italian restaurants when he was younger. Lunch went over so well that we decided to go again for dinner a few days later. I had the Pollo Pesto which had rigatoni pasta cooked perfectly al dente with a light but flavorful pesto cream sauce, juicy bit-sized pieces of grilled chicken and topped with parmigiana cheese. My husband had the rigatoni bolognese which he thoroughly enjoyed too. The servings were so large that we were able to take half of each home for our kids. We also ordered a pepperoni pizza to take home. So you may be wondering why I haven’t talked about the pizzas we kept taking home. Well I haven’t mentioned them yet because neither my husband or I had been able to try them. Our kids LOVED the pizza and they ate them both! A few days after our last visit we decided to go for lunch again and try the pizza for ourselves. We each ordered a slice of pizza and 2 enormous slices were brought to our table, thankfully cut in half so we could comfortably eat them. The pizza crust was crispy, thin and light. The sauce was tasty, the used the perfect amount and most importantly…no heartburn! The pepperoni was very flavourful and added a tiny hint of heat to the pizza. As usual, leftovers were brought home. We also spotted a delicious looking sandwich hiding on the back counter. I enquired about it and the chef told us that they were trying it out for a new menu option. I wished I could have tried it, it looked so good! I also saw beautiful long sheets of home made lasagna pasta being prepared and cooked. By this time, the staff were remembering us, which isn’t hard because we both wear funky glasses. They are always friendly, efficient and they all do a great job. The restaurant is impeccably clean, has about 6 tables and offers frozen take home options too. By now, my kids are getting jealous that they haven’t been able to visit themselves so the same day as my hubby and I went for pizza, my daughter and I went for dinner. I ordered lasagna which I had spied at lunch time and my daughter had fettuccine Alfredo. As per usual, both portions were plenty large enough to share or take home leftovers. The lasagna had their tasty sauce, the perfect amount of cheese and was piping hot. The fettuccine Alfredo sauce was creamy, tasty with light fettuccine, cooked to perfection. Yet again, the staff were so kind and generous to send us home with some leftover focaccia. They said they were glad it was going to be enjoyed and would go to waste. In case it isn’t obvious by now, we LOVE Piazza Italian Eatery and have become regular customers. Hopefully my review has painted a detailed enough picture to entice you to give them a try. I just had the best veal sandwich! The ingredients were fresh, the size of the sandwich was huge. I barely finished a half but was glad to take the other half home for dinner. The place is cozy and the food is just phenomenal. I highly recommend this place! Can’t wait to come back for pizza.
Very stylish and inviting interior with good service and great food. Would recommend. The daily pizza special for $4.95 is a great lunch and is better than any other pizza place - can’t beat authentic Italian! Pop in and see!

I am so impressed by the lovely lady, Franca whom when I called to see if I could add an item to my Uber order, she helped me out . I sent a dinner to friends to uplift their mood. She accommodated my needs and went above by adding a dessert gratis to the meal. My friends loved the food and were thrilled by the dessert. I usually don t leave reviews, but I thought that this was deserving of it . This place is incredible, especially their fresco sandwich. I have ordered the sandwich so many times and keep coming back because of how crazy delicious it is. Like I can t stress enough, how good it is. Everyone needs to try this place and get the fresco sandwich

I visited for the 1st time yesterday. I got the Thursday special with the meat lovers pizza and gnocchi pasta. I was really impressed with the pasta it was just like homemade and their sauce is impressive....I am very particular about my sauce. I will be back!
I recently had the pleasure of using Piazza Italian Eatery Mercato for catering two functions within a four-day span, and I must say, they exceeded all expectations. From the moment I contacted them, their professionalism was evident. Thank you Franka and team. Firstly, lets talk about the food. It was exceptional! Each dish was prepared with care and attention to detail. Every bite was bursting with flavor. The food was just plain delicious. The service provided by Piazza Mercato was nothing short of impeccable. Overall, I cannot recommend Piazza Mercato highly enough for catering services. If you want delicious food and flawless service for your next event, look no further. They truly helped make my functions memorable, and I will definitely be using their services again in the future.

Shockingly poor quality for the prices. $6 additional charge for half of a rubbery poorly seasoned chicken breast. Also, the $17 fettucine alfredo was watery as heck, the sauce was pooling at the bottom, it was very gross. I had to add my own ingredients to make it worth eating. When the food fails to match the quality reflecting its price, its unacceptable

A family member has recommended Piazza Italian Eatery. Mercato to us a bunch of times and last night we gave them a try, ordering the Family Special for 4 hungry adults. The entire experience was delightful. I really wanted to get a picture of the food but my hungry family just wanted to dive-in so I missed my chance. Their huge Caesar Salad had real bacon and parm shavings, and a homemade style delicious dressing. The pasta could have served 8 (I m looking forward to leftovers!) and we had the chicken parmigiano, and it was only 2/3 eaten because the portions are so generous. Garlic bread as well was very tasty. Everyone raved about the quality and taste of all the food. We will go back often. This kind of family restaurant is so valuable in our town and deserves all the praise they get. Check them out you won t be disappointed.
We ordered four pizzas for dinner this week and they were equally delicious! Would highly recommend for anyone in the area. My only concern: my partner did not receive a receipt and I am unsure if the advertised special was honored upon payment and pickup. Vegetarian options: Delicious pizza options for vegetarians.
Ordered through uber eats last night. Prices are high. Food was pretty good. The kids didnt like the Gnocchi but I thought the one with Sausage was great. Garlic bread with cheese was amazing. Pizza good too, chicken Caesar also very good.

Order from their catering menu for a family gathering for the first time. Everything was great. But the rice balls and the sausage were the hit of the night. Definitely will be revisiting the place in the future ;-)

I took my daughter for a Mommy date and it was wonderful here. She found something to suit her picky child self and I still got to have an adult meal. She got to watch them cooking our food (wow mom its on fire! - it was supposed to be -) and they were very accommodating also needing takeout containers when we asked for dine-in. Well be back! With dad next time

We went there yesterday for the first time after I read all the good reviews, I was queries. All the 5 stars reviews were so right. The food is AMAZING. Ive been in a lot of Italian restaurants in the area and in Vaughan area but this one is above and beyond. OMG, me and my family loved the pastas, my daughter ordered a . pizza It was so delicious and came in very generous portion. The owners are so nice and welcoming. We are going to come often, because for us its the best Italian restaurant EVER!!! Thank you for the best experience, we enjoyed every bite.
The best GF pizza in Aurora! I have tried AT LEAST 6 other restaurants (in Aurora) from small businesses to large chains. Nothing compares to Piazzas gluten free pizza! The crust is delicious and has good crunch, the dough itself is amazing and not gummy like other gluten free pizzas I ve had. It s truly just like eating regular pizza! It is on the pricier side - but so worth it! Highly recommend!
We got the lasagna the other day - the hot lasagna not the frozen one (but Ill be going back for both!) And it was absolutely delicious! Layers and layers of fresh homemade pasta. My two little kids gobbled it up two nights in a row (unheard of!). Definitely going back for more! Worth every penny.

I have been there three times so far and all three times I have been beyond impressed. I had the pizza, pasta, and sandwiches and I can t decide which one I loved more! The owner is really sweet and is really passionate about what she does. Although it is a 20 minute drive for me I always make time for Piazza incredibly fresh ingredients and delicious food items!!
I have just experienced the BEST Panino sandwich I think Ive ever had outside of Italy. This is definintely the top Italian restaurant in York Region. The Fresco Panino was so good, I had to pull over to the side of the road just to savour the taste!! Youve gained a new customer!
Super disappointed wont order from there again. Veal parm with pasta was thrown together no care at all , there had to be a cup of sauce on it which obliterated the cheese if there even was any. Same for the lasagna was completely drowned. Both were incredibly bland and flavorless.
Piazza catered an event for me on Friday, providing the most exquisite charcuterie boards, including fabulous spreads, jams and pates, and homemade crackers and breadsticks which were to die for. I could not have imagined that these boards would turn out so beautifully ... Most important - they tasted as amazing as they looked. In addition they provided the most stunning wheel of tomato and bocconcini skewers - there was not a single one left! I could not recommend the Piazza Mercato team more highly!!! So many thanks
Went in today! Wow, great service, immediately was greeted by Ryan and Franca (owners). I ordered their veal sandwich! Wow wow wow! Taste and quality was spot on! It was huge and delicious! All toppings at no extra charge. Definitely will be coming back prices are very reasonable compared to other places u go too. They serve fresh pizzas and pastas! Can t wait to try the rest of the menu. Couldn t help myself, so I had to try their pizza slice ..again it was delicious! Thank you! See y all soon

Without a doubt the best veal sandwich in Aurora. Consistency is critical with food services. Just came back from a second try and it was as good if not better than the first. Not a food critic but Aurora needed this and in my opinion better than California Sandwiches
Tonight my boyfriend and I decided to try the Thursday night take out special at Piazza Italian Eatery. Mercato which includes a large pizza of your choice (we chose the sausage and rapini) 1lb of wings ( we got the garlic and parm ones) a small Caesar salad, garlic bread and 2 soft drinks for $29.95. What a treat! The wood oven pizza crust is the perfect amount of crisp and the flavours were delicious, the wings are the star of this meal though so crispy on the outside and full of meat on the inside and the sauce was over the top! Both the salad and garlic bread were a nice touch. Great value and portions (I have enough for lunch tomorrow) I would definitely recommend and will be back myself. Great Thursday promotion and great value!
The fettuccine Alfredo was very watery but the penne vodka pasta was delicious and service was wonderful.

Amazing Pizza. Ordered a few different pizzas for a family gathering. They were all amazing. Great ingredients, and so well made. The portions are very generous as well. There was no delay in pick up, food was ready exactly when they said. HIGHLY recommend.

As a big fan of small food establishments and a frequent visitor to Aurora in recent years, I was very happy to come across Piazza Mercato. Initially, I was greeted by Franca, who happened to be the owner. She was very friendly and helpful. I ordered a veal sandwich with all the toppings and also was offered to try their slice of the day with pop. That day they had Calabrese pizza which was an excellent appetizer to the veal sandwich. Both pizza slice and the veal sandwich were very fulfilling and delicious. Hands down, this establishment is one of the Aurora s best for its uniqueness and outstanding quality that definitely deserves a 5-Star Rating! Thank you to everyone at Piazza Mercato a for superb customer service and a welcoming atmosphere!
All the food is great, but I will make the BOLD statement that they have the best veal sandwich north of Claremont St.!!! (Im referring to the original Californias). Yes, I know they made the controversial decision to use a long bun and not round, but the bun itself hangs with the best. In general, no matter what the dish, theyre not simply preparing the food, but its like they just know how to make it right.

Dropped in for lunch on a Saturday, seems like an old school family run pizza place, very much itallian style pizza but no upscale fancy bs. This is good food at reasonable prices, their deserts and selection of in-house sauces/products are great too. We had the Margherita and pepperoni pizzas, highly recommend.

I ordered 2 slices of pizza here and they were so so so SO small I paid $12+ for what looked like a tiny little appetizer. The pizza slices didn t even look cut properly I m so upset. Also the crust was so hard it was so hard to bite or even chew

Overall food was delicious. We are an Italian family and can sniff out the fake ones and those not using fresh ingredients. Not this place they are good. genuine and everything tasted fresh - as you enter you see the chefs cooking it all fresh in front of you! Our Veal and chicken parm were great and had plenty of an authentic tasting tomato sauce. Eggplant parm had great taste and plenty of sauce. The penne a La vodka was good and had a really nice flavour but unfortunately it lacked sauce. It was dry but I believe the chef finished it well before the pick up time I was given (35 mins) and the penne soaked any sauce that was in the container. That or too much pasta vs sauce as they are generous with the family meal portions. But it still tasted great! . But it did need more sauce on the penne..if it wasn t for that this meal would have been a perfect 5 star meal. Garlic bread delicious and mixed greens and dressing very tasty. The value is on point and well worth it. We will be back and give them a chance to make it a perfect 5! My sons loved the food and we want to try the pizza and wings next!!
All I can say is wow! Comfort Italian food at its finest. We had a pizza, pasta, parm tenders, rapini and tiramisu. Everything was a delicious win. Food was ready in under half an hour and came home hot and fresh! Highly recommend!

Had them cater lunch for a group- got the Antipasto tray, Foccacia, penne alla vodka, rigatoni pollo pesto, Cesar salad and cannoli. Everything was amazing and the portions were very generous - everyone left full and happy. We will definitely order again!
Got food catered from here and I have to say it was amazing! Aurora s finest Italian! Franca was a pleasure to deal with. The veal and lasagna has to be the best I ever had, reminded me of my Nonna s cooking

I ordered the Pizza Americano and i can honestly say it was one of, if not the best pizzas ive ever had. The cheese they use has a really nice elasticity to it, without drenching the pizza in oil. I cant wait to come back and try your other menu items!

Just awesome food with great prices. We had three different pasta dishes for family dinner last night and each was fantastic. I wanted to try the pizza but they were sold out; that was at 5:30! So I can only imagine how good it must be. My wife picked up the food and the place was packed with people picking up. I didnt know until later that the owners used to run Roman Bistro and once I found out all the pieces came together. Great people with great food.

So i got referred to Piazza by my favourite opticians in Wink Opticals and my experience was as amazing as I was told. I tried 2 different pizzas - rotolo and arancini, and the out-of-this-world veal sandwich, they were all soooo good!!!! I am hooked.

Try this for their Wednesday pizza special. Great price, fresh and hot. I ordered Pollo which is new on their Fall menu and Carne. I can smell the truffle oil on my way home! No burning bottom as they are stone pizza. Not oily at all.

The penne vodka is the absolute worst. We ordered through Uber eats and it was like someone forgot to drain the pasta and just added sauce. It was so watery. It didn t even have anything else in the sauce. Just an orange pinky water sliding right of the penne. Our pizza arrived cold and they put maybe (and I m being generous) 2 whole slices of prosciutto on the entire pizza. The chicken parm panino tasted like nothing. Literally so bland. Even my 4 and 6 year old said it was the worst Italian food they ever had. No one ate a thing and it was the worst way to spend $100 bucks. Sorry guys but you need help in the kitchen.
