Had a work luncheon at this beautiful, clean, intimate restaurant yesterday. We had a delicious and wonderful meal. We all tried various dishes and all were delicious, no complaints and Service was top notch! Thanks again for the great service and we will highly recommend this restaurant and definitely will be coming back again!
Our group of friends tried Romy's based on the other Google reviews and Wow! They were right. This place is a gem. In the hubbub of conversation, it was funny to see each person trying their butternut squash soup. They'd suddenly look amazed and declare how excellent it was, because they hadn't noticed their friends all say the same thing. The decor is modern, clean but still welcoming. The server was kind and attentive. Prices and portion sizes are perfect. Be aware that washrooms are downstairs if you have mobility issues. The best parking is the free public lot right behind the restaurant.
We were visiting Toronto for the Thanksgiving Holiday and we asked friends for a nice lunch recommendation and they recommended Romy's. This place is absolutely a gem. * Reservations: The restaurant is small so definitely make a reservation if you can. They are open only for lunch, they have take out during the day and since they are not open for dinner they have fresh prepared dishes that can be picked up for dinner with instructions on how to warm them and serve at home. * Ambiance: The restaurant is very clean and has an outstanding ambiance. * Service: The staff is extremely courteous and helpful in picking out the dishes and talking through their specials. The Chef even spent time with us. Him and his wife run the restaurant and they are a lovely couple; it is obvious they have poured their life and soul in this restaurant. * Food: The menu speaks for itself (see pic). I went there with my family and I swear I wanted to order a few dishes to try but settled on one for now. I can guarantee you that I will be back. Here is what we ordered: Appetizers - We ordered fries and the Casava Croquettes. They were absolutely to die for. For the table they brought in homemade plantain chips and casava chips. The sauce that came with the Casava Croquettes was very unique and super tasty. Mains - Peppercorn Steak Sandwich: I ordered this sandwich and I have to say it was the perfect size (not too big and not too small). The Swiss cheese was high quality and the beef was cut in bite sized chunks that complemented the sandwich perfectly. The chef had some crispy fried onions on the top which was a nice accent to the sandwich...each bite was incredible. I got the salad for my side which was tossed with a vinaigrette dressing and it was very tasty. - Halloumi Grilled Cheese: My wife ordered this with a side of salad and she thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich. - Penne with Cream Sauce (added Chicken): My 7 year old ordered this (added chicken) from the adult menu and there was only one bite left at the end. I tried the alfredo sauce and it was a PERFECT sauce - not too heavy or cheesy but very rich and tasty. - Grilled Striploin: My 14 year ordered this. The strip was not fatty and perfectly seasoned. The vegetables that came with it were crunchy and lightly seasoned (perfect amount of salt and taste) - cauliflower, broccoli, green beans, and carrots. I had to try them b/c they looked like they were cooked almost perfectly (not over done and had a great shine that they were just perfect). Desert - Apple Crumble: My kids ordered this and we tried it. It was very fresh and not overpoweringly sweet; it was great. Coffee - My wife and I ordered the cappuccino and the presentation was just outstanding I would HIGHLY recommend you try this restaurant; I know the next time we are in town we will be visiting Romy's again. A few things of note: 1) The price of the meal was totally affordable which was shocking given the quality of the meal, the ambiance, and the service. 2) This place is kid friendly; the kid's menu is attached. 3) The restaurant offers catering services for private parties. We will likely take them up on this service.
One of thei most incredible places to spend time with family, friends, coworkers or a special date night. Their food and sauces are all made by hand in house that makes you salivate and crave going back for more. What sets this local restaurant aside from the rest, is that they also do catering for events, weddings, business lunches, etc.. You won't regret coming back again and again.
Romy is fully capable of elevating your food and catering experience! The flavours, the spices were up to the mark and the staff is extremely professional. 100% recommend these guys!

I have ordered Take Out a number of times now from Romy's and all I can say is WOW!!! The Curbside pickup is seamless and easy, (especially during Covid-19) First time we ordered take out, we ordered the Chicken Skewers and Vegetable Fritters and they were perfection. The chicken was cooked beautifully, and they were able to work around allergies I had, and accommodated with great options (for example, I could not have tzatiki sauce, so they had put in freshly made hummus) The vegetables fritters were SO good, that I had to order them again recently with our next take out order. The tamarind sauce accompanies the fritters perfectly. They do not get soggy which could be a concern, but they still had a crisp to them. The most recent take out order we did, we had the Mixed Grill, Grilled Salmon and Vegetable Fritters with a side of rice. The Mixed Grill was TO DIE FOR!!!! The steak was like eating butter, it melted in your mouth, the chicken was so simply perfect, and the sausage had so much flavor. The Salmon was cooked to perfection and the Maple Pommery Sauce is delicious on literally ANYTHING! When we got home with our order, we noticed there was an added treat which was the most delectable brownies I think I have ever had. The owners of Romy's go above and beyond for their guests and it truly shows. I look forward to ordering again next week! Thank you Romy's Staff for all you do during this crazy time!
Still enjoying this place after multiple visits. Decor feels modern and classy. Food is varied, interesting and well prepared. There's a good variety within the menu and it feels like there's constantly new favorites to discover. Highly recommended.

What a lovely lunch spot! Food was fresh and flavourful. Complementary plantain chips and mint water were a nice touch. Service was attentive and the place was spotless.
Lovely small restaurant with great food, excellent service, and lovely atmosphere. My wife had the chicken sandwich and roasted yam soup and liked it very much. I had the penne pasta and thought it was great. Portion sizes were good and the prices were quite reasonable. Lots of local parking. Will definitely be back for more.
Cute, stylish, and clean interior, excellent food from entree to dessert, and Yuliya the server is a gem. 6 stars Vegetarian options: I am vegetarian and lots of protein. I requested a double serving of halloumi in my halloumi sandwich. For $5 extra they obliged and I met my protein needs
Exquisite food, incredible service and a very warm ambience. This restaurant is every bit as good as the reviews suggest. The warmth and genuineness of Yuliya, the hostess, was endearing. Every single thing we had was blow-your-socks-off delicious. We had the Mediterranean chicken sandwich, the halloumi sandwich, the carrot ginger coriander soup, the salted caramel cheesecake, mango rice pudding and coffee - wow! just wow!
I went for lunch with two friends this week to Romys. This is a special little restaurant. We loved everything about our lunch experience. Nice ambiance, lovely waitress who gave great service and delicious food. And to top it off a great coffee. Everything we ate was superb Dietary restrictions: They cater to GF, Vegan and vegetarian. Parking: Lots of parking in Aurora Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs other to the washroom

This place showed up on Skip and Door Dash. Gave it a try.. it immediately became our #1 pizza go to. We ve ordered it a number of times already.. and every time the absolute best (all due respect to others). Donair is our favourite (highly recommended). Also pepperoni, mushroom and green peppers. Now, I have deleted both Skip and Door Dash Apps to prevent me from owning shares of this restaurant.. great tasting, well loaded, super cheesy pizzas. Seriously, try the Donair..
Coconut Village Spa treats our clients to their food often. Romys is one of my 3 go to places for clean, consistent, tasty food. The Customer service is always on point! My favorite is salmon with shrimp and steamed vegetables.

Romys Restaurant just hosted our daughters first communion dinner party with our family this past weekend, and we had an absolute great experience. We loved the food, and the waitresses were great! Overall we would recommend this place for a private party or just for lunch with friends. Thank you again for such a wonderful time, we will see you again soon.
We were very pleased by the wonderful food catered by Romy s for our grandson s baptism. The penne alla vodka and chicken parmigiana were delicious and fresh. The seasonal green salad had a tasty dressing and the selection of breads was excellent. Overall, it was a delicious meal.
Absolutely fantastic restaurant. Been there three times . Love their deep fried cassava! No where else offers this similar recipe!
The food is very good, almost home made, and priced the same as the chain restaurants that are not nearly as good. Nice quaint atmosphere. We will be back.

I recently hosted my daughters Communion at Romy s and I can t say enough about how wonderful the entire experience has been. Romy was just incredible to work with, his staff on the day of the event were so amazing and the food was absolutely delicious!!! My family couldn t say enough great things about Romy s. I ve hosted many events, and Romy s by far has been an experience like no other-very accommodating, helpful and a stress-free experience from start to finish. Highly recommend if you re looking to host a small event or grab something to eat for lunch. Definitely impressed us and we will be back!

We hosted my brother s 50th birthday party at Romy s; one of Matt s favourite restaurants. It was the perfect spot for a private dinner party. From the custom menu planning to the attentive service we received, Romy and his team made it memorable and special. The appetizers were tasty and never-ending, the pasta was perfectly cooked; and the steak and Cornish hen with roast veggies was delicious. The bartender and serving staff kept the perfect pace so our drinks and plates were never empty. I d highly recommend Romy s whether it s for lunch or a special dinner.
I was here for a private event and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. Romy s has amazing food! It was very fresh and decently priced, especially for how good the quality of the food was. Everything was cooked to perfection. The owners are very friendly, they often came out to see how everything was. The place is a good size, not too big but it was very clean.
We recently had Romy cater our family reunion and it was a huge success. The attention to detail, flexibility, and professionalism were outstanding, not to mention the incredible quality and taste of the food itself. Everyone in attendance continues to talk about the delicious meal and the generous portions. We will definitely be using Romys for future events and look forward to trying all of their offerings. If you havent tried Romys, find a way to make it happen. You will not regret it. We are thrilled to have this wonderful service in our town.
We have a new-found ROMYance with Romy s take out menu during this lockdown! It is now our favorite local restaurant, with a great variety of fresh items. We are super impressed with the delicious flavors and piping hot dishes prepared for curbside pick up, as well as accommodations for gluten-free when needed. Looking forward to safe indoor dining in the future!

Always fabulous! Weve had takeout dinners from Romys many times this year, and every time were impressed with the consistent high quality, generous portions, reasonable prices and friendly service. My favourites are the chicken parm and the stuffed eggplant, each of which comes with a gorgeous and colourful variety of fresh vegetables. My husband loves the chicken biryani and the lamb curry. Apple crumble tart is scrumptious. Weve tried takeout from a few other local restaurants, but we always come back to Romys. Safety protocols are firmly in place here. Highly recommend.
We dined in just once before COVID hit, but weve ordered twice from their curbside service. Love the food. The gluten-free options worked for me and the service was always good and friendly. My wife and I might say that the veggie fritters were our favorite, but it is difficult to pick just one thing.

Ordered from Romys for the first time tonight - it wont be our last! The food is amazing. Pakora is crispy and tasty, seafood linguine has big juicy shrimp and scallops, pasta is nicely al dente, biryani rice is aromatic - lots of vegetables. Everything is hot and fresh. Foil containers and lids are recyclable. Thanks Romys.

FANTASTIC FOOD! Tried yesterday for first time. Pick up was piping hot. All three entrees were superb, blackened beef filet, coconut curry seafood dish and stuffed eggplant. Beef nd seafood cooked to perfection, tender and very flavourful. Veggies perfectly done. Flavours blended extremely well. Will return!!!
Dinner for 8 people and everyone enjoyed their meal. Staff were very friendly. Food tasted freshly cooked, which takes time. It isnt fast food, but its worth the wait imho.

Their caesar salad is delicious. My dessert was divine. I was warmly greeted, I received very good service and my beef sandwich with the caramelized onions and fries where very good. The desert was one of the best Ive every had. Cheese cake that was so light and so flavorful with several amazing additions including ground pistachios with very flavorful back notes of flavors and a very small drizzle of honey. Ive eaten in some amazing Five Star restaurants courtesy of wonderful clients over the years and on holidays None have ever had a better dessert. Ill be back. This was my third visit. Ill be back.

From the moment I walked in, my friend and I were greeted with friendly faces, and seated right away. We ordered the Coconut Shrimp to start and the dipping sauce is unlike any I have ever had before, it tasted like you were on a beach, absolutely delightful!! I ordered the Mussels as a main course, and my friend ordered the Risotto. Both were incredibly flavourful and the Mussels reminded me of my Nonnas cooking, they were SO good! (I cant wait to go back and have more). The Drinks were incredible, one of the best Mojitos ive ever had (thank you Natasha!) Overall my experience was incredible and I look forward to going back.
Each time Ive visited Romys, I am so warmly welcomed + well served! The food is delicious and the service is great. My favourites things on the menu are the vegetable fritters, sausage + ravioli. I brought my grandparents and sister there for dinner yesterday and everyone was extremely happy with their choices!

My absolute favourite restaurant in Aurora. The service is always top-notch, they make you feel welcomed from the moment you step in the door. The Eggplant Parmesan, is heaven on earth! The ravioli is my second favourite. The prices are absolutely on par with the quality and service. Looking for your next date night restaurant- GO HERE!
We had curb side pick up. The service was great. The food was excellent. Veg fritters - perfectly spiced. We had the rice noodles bowl and shrimp and also the chicker parmesean. Delicious. And the brownie and tart were for dessert were fabulous - melt in your mouth. What a treat to find this restaurant in Aurora.

We had Caesar Salad(amazing homemade dressing), fried calamari(lightly fried, not heavy), tortellini soup(delish) and Grilled Vegetable sandwich (homemade Focaccia) we will definitely be back to try some dinner options. Amazing new restaurant in town! Indian influences in the menu! We enjoy a tapas night with vegetables pakora, fry calamari and fresh mussels in coconut curry sauce with fry pitas bread to die for! Had dinner at Romys Restaurant and Lounge this weekend with family. Such cozy, tasteful decor! We tried several items on the menu including the empanadas, calamari, cornish hen, beer battered fish bites and topped it off with a brownie for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented! The service was impeccable, and the owners were extremely gracious! I would definitely recommend Romys for any occasion...and they also cater! Will be back again soon!
What a gem in Aurora. The empanadas and chimichurri are the best I have had. The calamari was cooked perfectly and not greasy. I had the cornish hen with home cut fries. Was fantastic. Im from England and always think there not gonna be hand cut like our chips when I see it on a menu. I was so happy they were exactly like they said. Didnt have dessert and after reading other reviews was sorry I didnt. Will definitely be returning from Toronto east end. Well worth the drive.

What a dinning experience and a great place to celebrate our anniversary! I cannot rave about this restaurant enough! I had a hard time deciding on what to get because all the choices sounded delicious, but I landed on the Burrata Ravioli bowl & my husband had the Curry Chicken. When they arrived at the table the smell was divine and we were both jealous of the others choices. Everything is freshly made with love and you can taste it in every bite. The dessert...OH. MY. GAWD. I m not a huge cheesecake person, but the baklava cheesecake was recommended and I think I tasted heaven! The price is reasonable, the atmosphere inviting and the staff fantastic. We will be going back...many times.
My wife and I went to Romy s for the first time this evening. Had a wonderful experience with the staff and the food was great. We will be regulars for sure.

Most amazing restaurant in Aurora. The service is amazing and they serve the best quality food. I take all my friends and business associates there and they love love love it. For my birthday, I asked for nothing and they really made me feel special. It is an absolutely beautiful gem of a place to go to. I 100% recommend it.
Great service. Beautiful lunch presentation and food made well. Love the bread for sandwiches. We had the omelette sandwich and a chicken sandwich. Plus soup of the day - tomato and lentil. We finished everything. Would definitely come again.

Was looking forward to a lunch at this new restaurant in Aurora, and first impressions were positive! Updated decor cozy, but modern. Smelled delicious when we walked in, and the menu looked promising. We ordered our lunch and waited . . . and waited . . . and waited . . . for an hour. Water glasses were filled twice, but at no time did our server wonder where our food was until we asked. Turns out she forgot to place the order with the kitchen. At this point, we chose to leave. A good server should notice after a period of time that a table has not received food. We wonder how long we would have had to wait had we not inquired about our lunch! Very disappointing.
Found this gem a few weeks ago and we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, freshness of the food and the staff...the seafood risotto was yummy; the kale salad (with crispy apples) was also good and the stuffed eggplant was yummzers! Even had a good espresso which is no small feat!! Ill be back!
