Our favourite shawarma in the area!

Used to be my favorite shawarma in town, but last 3 times I been there the meat was very dry. Perhaps if they didnt cut it into such small pieces it would be more juicy. Still a decent place

Just bought a shawarma wrap, came home and to eat it and was a total mess, it turned into a salad! They grilled the wrappper NOT the pita...AFTETn they wrapped in paper...clearly ineffective as the pita remained un grilled and fell appart as soon as I took my first bite!!They should know better!

It was very busy and took 20 mins to get our food but it was worth it. The guys behind the counter were hustling fast and did great. Food was delicious.

Their food was amazing. I got a chicken shawarma wrap my friends got beef shawarma platter and a chicken shawarma platter. All three items were amazing this will be my go-to spot.

Visited for the first time today and got Chicken Shawarma and Falafel Shawarma. The place is very very clean and organized, the staff were very polite. The food is amazing! So fresh, very flavourful I would highly recommend this place and will be my go to place when I want take out. I m disappointed I haven t tried this place sooner, but will def be back. Thanks for the great service and great food.

My family has been coming here since they have opened. It s always great food and they are always super friendly and welcoming. Somehow they can remember everyone s order even if they haven t seen you in a while. I have brought so many friends here I can t recommend this place enough

Just another ordinary shawarma place...

Ordered a chicken shawarma wrap and falafel wrap with a side of fries for dinner. The wraps were generously sauced and the hummus was tasty. We found the chicken, falafel, and fries to be quite dry and wished for more flavour overall. Lastly, the bottom of the wraps ripped a few minutes into eating them.

No need to check out elsewhere, best in GTA!

The food at Shawarma land is amazing!!!! Always fresh, delicious and the portions are enormous!! The staff/oweners are amazing. They are very warm, welcoming and have top notch customer service. The restaurant is always busy and but they work very hard to move the line. It is hands down the best place for Shawarma in the GTA!!!!! Today we tried the Beef Shawarma poutine, falafel, stuffed grape leaves and baklava. We were all incredibly full, with the biggest smiles on our faces. Can t wait to go back!!!

I ve been to Shawarma Land a few times over the years and never had a bad experience. I do think the menu is a bit on the pricier side but the generous portions and customer service make up for it. Came here recently and the location was busy, which does happen at certain times, but staff were able to serve customers fairly quickly while ensuring the quality of orders was top notch. If I had to point out one small negative, I would say the dine-in experience is lacking as the tables are sort of grouped together in a corner by the entrance. It s very awkward having to pass people standing in line to get to this area and again when leaving but this of course only applies to when it s busier. For me, this is definitely more of a takeout spot and if that s how you approach it, the previous point wont matter. Overall, I d say fresh and delicious food combined with excellent service makes Shawarma Land a strong contender for one of the best shawarma spots in the GTA!

Ive been coming to this place for years, and today was no different. Over the years, Ive tried many places, but NOBODY, absolutely nobody can compare to the unique flavors, portion sizes, and the simple customer service this family supplies. Thank you guys for booming year after year, keeping the quality of food and service at the top notch level and I hope your mom and dad will be helping for many, many more years to come!!! Latest update: came in today to purchase lunches for 12 people in the office. Walked in just as soon as they opened and they got on it immediately. 30 minutes later I was walking with 5 bags of food and not one single mistake. These guys always work hard, always pleasant, never skimp on qty or the flavors. I call them THE BEST for many reasons they truly deserve!!!!

Ive tried so many shawarma places and this still stands as the best shawarma. I drive 45 mins each way to get this and its well worth the time. Would recommened the chicken/beef shawarma plate and with all the sauces. Mine and my wifes favorite. Oh and dont forget to try the baklava, its really good!

The reviews speak for themselves. Ever since I moved to the Oak Ridges area I was in search for shawarma. This place showed up and is our go to spot for shawarma. They are always busy but the workers are very fast and efficient. Ive seen the workers have customers who take a long time to order but the workers are patient and will help other customers in the meantime. I admit, I may have spoken too quietly and they got my order wrong but didnt mind fixing it when I told them. The food is really good, my wife and I get 2 chicken shawarma plates and a chicken shawarma poutine to share. We usually have enough for leftovers the next day. Highly recommend trying this place

The BEST Shawarma spot in the Newmarket/Aurora area. Most reasonable prices, halal and best service from the awesome brother duo. There are no extra charges to add rice or potatoes to your shawarma and they do not measure the amount of protein or other ingredients like other restaurants do. There is always a line at this place and its understandable as to why. They know what they are doing and are simply the best at it.

I revisited Shawarma Land for the second time today since I think 2019 because I wanted to give it another try. I felt that maybe my thoughts from my first and only experience were outdated because the reviews nowadays are primarily positive and thoughtful. My original impression was that the shawarma plate was unfortunately underwhelming. I so want to like this place, but again I am left with the same feelings. Ill explain why; Note that my review is for the shawarma plate only, since thats all Ive ever ordered (and the only thing I order when I ever get shawarma). The portion is small relative to what other restaurants serve for takeout at a similar price point. $18 and change before tax for a plate, and with a side of baklava (which was delicious by the way), $27. Now when it came to the components of the plate, the only thing I found was done right was the salad, which was fresh and had varied ingredients. The potatoes were not very seasoned and the texture was really average. Again, the portion was quite small. The rice was also very average, missing flavour. The beef was relatively dry. On top I had their garlic sauce which I didnt find to be very garlicky. All in all, I have to say it was a boring shawarma plate. I have been having shawarma for many years, and have tried different styles over the course of my time living in Ottawa, Montreal, and now here in the GTA. This one is majorly lacking in taste, portion, and quality of the preparation. I guess this is the best thing in Aurora, but by no means would I drive more than 15 min for this. There are, in my opinion, superior options in Richmond Hill and in Scarborough. This is my honest review. -- Edit, after response from the owner. Upon reading such a petty and ungracious response Ive decided that I cannot recommend this restaurant. Making a farce of review where legitimate improvements can be made is unprofessional and quite an embarrassing way to run a business. Ive removed a star for the poor attitude and reception. To conclude Id like to clarify that I didnt wait in a line to order my food that day, it was afternoon and though people were seated eating, there was no queue to order. Nowhere did I suggest that this was an issue, yet for whatever reasons youve decided to project it and give it undue weight. All the best.

BEST shawarma place in town. If youre wondering what smells so good when walking around that plaza... I was also wondering. Everything is extremely tasty and precise probably the best rice Ive had as well. Definitely recommended. Vegetarian options: Falafel is vegetarian and theyve got it.

Best falafel in town. The popcorn falafel is a MUST TRY. It s a simple thing, season it right and cook it to order, but this is one of the few places around that gets it right. Not to mention the amazing shawarma meat and generous portions. Tahini sauce is thick and flavourful, hot sauce is tasty too. The garlic sauce is mid and is the one thing I would love to see improved. They do not deliver, and they don t need to. You want to make the trip out to pick this up.

Had shawarma in Sauga which I find tasted better and was a tad cheaper. This place wasn t bad but the gyro could have been a bit fresher for the price. The chicken shawarma lacked flavour, they need to add some fat to the spit. Couldn t understand the hype..

I have been going to this shawarma joint for almost 8 years, and I have never been disappointed. My husband and I love shawarma and have had shawarma at many places- but this place is hands down the best shawarma in all of Toronto!! The quality and the freshness of the food is always on par and they keep the place very clean and organized. Only one downfall is that I wish they had more locations, because it s that good!

It was really bad quality ,we ordered a chicken shawarma wrap and bowl of mixed chicken and beef. The chicken was so smelly . Also both chicken and beef were so dry.The wrap wasn t well made and when I wanted to start eating ,it tore apart. I ll never go back to this place again.

I went in for a Chicken Plate. The serving was large which was nice. The rice was a bit harder than expected, but not in a bad way. The unfortunate part was the chicken itself was so dry that it just didnt encourage me to eat more. Maybe it was on the stove for too long after being cut or something else. Anyways I should try again sometime to see if it was a one off.

Its still good and worth it with the price increase. specifics: the meat / shwarma is very very good. top notch they buy their pitas out of store. hot sauce is average i have to compare this to flaming stove nearby in newmarket. flaming stove makes their own wraps (saj bread) and hot sauce. these elevate the sandwich. i wish their meat was as good as shwarmaland through. overall the 2 are some of the best shwarma around

I ve been ordering from this establishment for four years and don t plan on eating shawarma anywhere else for the rest of my life. That is a guarantee. I have to admit I am very upset with the guy with the tattoos because he has CONSISTENTLY been able to make the BEST shawarma I have ever had. This upsets me because no other establishment can ever achieve such standards. (You know who you are). Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing atmosphere.

Was there with my kids. First time at this place. Pass by it a few times before and always saw people there. Rule #1 In most cases, if you see customers in shawarma restaurants after 7 pm, that meant that food is good and the place is clean. No surprise, my formula always works. The food is good. The place is clean and has served pretty quickly even though people are coming in and out. The main thing fries was golden, oil clean, not burned. Crispy end on fries meant owner make sure everything runs like a clock. Been there done that. 5 stars all around. Definitely will recommend to my friends and whoever read this in Newmarket.

Delicious, fat portions

Just had dinner there tonight and I love this place! I love the food and the people who put it together. My husband and I make it a point to go to shawarmaland at least 1x month if not more. It s not just the amazing authentic food, it s also the staff who are so friendly and they make sure you re happy. Also..for those of you that complain that the wrap falls apart it s supposed to! That s the BEST part! Love it!

For the past five years, I ve been making an effort to stop by this place anytime I m visiting from Toronto. And I m never disappointed. The portion sizes are so big I usually have to split it into two meals. When you get a meal the size of a small child you might think the food quality would suffer, but every pound of it is delicious. Plus the staff are some of the most efficient workers I ve seen. Honestly, most NASCAR pit crews can t keep up with the blistering pace of these guys! And they re nice guys too. You can tell they take pride in their work.

These guys are selling the best Shawarma in GTA. Selling generously sized servings for an excellent price. They are always busy and quite often sold out for the day up to a couple hours before their closing hours for a good reason. This place is well worth the drive.

I am disgusted by some of the reviews being left. I have been a customer for the last 6 years and have always had amazing service and same amazing quality food. I have never gone in and not seen the same two hard working gentle men behind the counter. Portions are always big and consistent quality is always top notch and flavour has always stayed the same, amazing. No one has the right to come leave nasty reviews because they want to simply hurt a business (may I add they are probably hiding behind a fake name) 100% Reccomend you try this shawarma spot out!

Since Ive started coming here the quality has declined. I ordered just a chicken shawarma wrap. The chicken was dry and chewy. It looked like he put enough sauce but it needed more. The guy that prepared the wrap didnt heat it up properly because half of one side (veggies side) was ice cold. The wrap fell apart one 3rd of the way when eating. And they were not really that busy at 8pm on Friday. I didnt see any delivery people. The restaurant didnt have many people seated. I think the urge to be fast has sacrificed the quality.

The best Shawarma in York Region!

I moved to Canada about half a decade ago from the Middle East (Dubai, UAE) and ever since, Ive been searching for a shawarma with an authentic taste that doesnt feel fast foody. I think this is the most authentic shawarma restaurant youll ever visit (taste wise). The staff was great and really fast at what they do. The portions were also a lot bigger than I was expecting. One thing Id recommend you do when coming here is asking for the shawarma to be toasted extra, you want a nice crispy exterior to contain the juicy meat. Traditionally, a shawarma man would dip the bread in the fat drippings before toasting it but I understand that they may not be able to do that, nonetheless, an excellent place to dine. Id also like to see some special deals next time too, like a 2 for x deal, or even a discount for the high school students nearby. TL;DR: Stop reading the reviews and go here NOW! You will not be disappointed with anything, its as authentic as one can be in Canada.

These 1 star reviews are quite humorous!! When a restaurant has been in business for over 10 years and at almost 5 stars on Google, must mean something. Came into shawarma land despite the negative claims and on the contrary the owners/staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming!! Food was delicious and portions were huge. You can tell the food is made in house from the authentic flavours to the freshness! Ignore the hateful comments from people who clearly must not be used to the real world in which you can t always have everything your way and give this place a try you won t be disappointed!

Amazing quick Shawarma Stop. Fresh Ingridients, amazing tasting sauces, the sides and toppings are always fresh and delicious. Ordered the Chicken Shawarma Combo with roasted potatoes And a Chicken Shawarma Platter 5/5 on all fronts Only wish there was more seating and more space as it is very popular and can get busy!!

My uncle used to own a shawarma restaurant in Richmond hill, but due to Covid he had to shut down. I have been searching for so long for a jaw dropping shawarma place, but with the city being surrounded by places like osmows and lazeez, I lost hope. My boyfriend and I passed by shawarma land couple weeks ago and ever since we tried their shawarma, I ve never gone anywhere else. The chicken is to DIE for. We absolutely love it!!! The two guys are so friendly and nice. They really know how to run a business here. If only this place was 24/7! PS. the responses on the reviews was one of the reasons why I also decided to try this place. Their sense of humour is up there with their chicken top tier.
