We just had our anniversary lunch here and it was amazing. Our server was Hunter and considering there were at least 7 Christmas office parties going on, he ensured we didnt have to wait and treated us incredibly well.

Jenna Lihou is an exceptional server! Her attention to detail in maintaining our table was flawless our drinks were always topped up, and everything stayed perfectly organized. Her friendly and upbeat attitude truly elevated our dining experience

My family and I visit the Aurora keg Sunday night we had the privilege to be served by the wonderful marsis oh man from the beginning to the end the service was outstanding she is very knowledgeable about the menu she answered all of our questions when we ask the food was outstanding she as a great sense of humour and o man she makes all of us laugh so much we love you marsis and we will see you again soon

My family and I ate there a few days ago for my mums birthday and our server Marsis was the best! She took great care of us and made my mum feel special on her birthday. She went above and beyond to make sure that we had a great evening, was attentive with everything and made us laugh. Weve been to this establishment several times but never had such a great experience with her!

I cant rave enough about this location. Went in tonight with my wife and my mom for my birthday, and everyone was so accommodating, as we had to move to a booth due to my mothers hearing impairment. The service and the food was on point. My steak was cooked to perfection. We have noticed that the Keg has upped its game in some small ways. The sauce that came with the KC sirloin was amazing. Well done guys!

I celebrated my husbands birthday last night. It was myself,my sister and my husband who are both in wheelchairs. Rob was our server and he was the best, He very understanding of our needs due to disabilities and went out of his way to help us have a very memorable birthday. Thank you Rob. I walked in there to have a dinner tonight with my husband and my child.When we go there,the staff said we need to wait one hour.So we take number to waiting until 8:50pm,it s already one hour.And we go ask when it turns us,The staff said we need wait more 25min.And I wait more 25min.Then I ask again,staff said wait more 10min.But I saw many people come later than us ,they just wait for half hour.We saw there is some group later than us they eat first,we ask staff she said they all have reservation.But I don t think if they have reservation they need to wait half hour.You guys didn t have table for reservation?? We come at 7:50pm,we wait one and half hour to have dinner at 9:30pm!!it s fine that we can have dinner here.But ! !we finish our dinner and want to pay at almost 11pm,we wait for 20min it s no waitress come in ask for bill,we want pay for bill,but no one come.We go find ask a waitress .she said ok.And we wait 5more min,no one come.We go ask one more time, and wait more 5 min,she finally come.I think the keg should be have best service,this time service is horrible.never come next time.

This was our 2nd visit to this location. Their staff is fantastic, and the food tastes great. However, we feel like they skimp on simple things like vegetables. 5 green beans and half a beet doesnt cut it with the cost of their meals. Please do better!!

I ve been to The Keg quite a few times, and I have to say, Frank is hands down the best server I ve ever had. I ve been lucky enough to have him take care of our table on multiple occasions, and he s always fantastic. Frank is friendly, professional, and just genuinely great at what he does. He s got an eye for the little details and always makes sure everything s perfect. It s always a great experience at The Keg, but having Frank as your server takes it to another level. He s a big reason why I keep coming back. Thanks, Frank!

Recently visited this location with some friends. Food was outstanding, we were a larger group and everyone was served at the same time which was really good. Our server was very attentive, friendly, and had a great sense of humour. The service was really great as well, we were brought to our table right away and the service began instantly. Food was cooked to perfection, no one out of the group complained about their meat being under cooked/over cooked. Definitely would recommend making a reservation, especially during the holiday season. This location gets really busy. Vegetarian options: We had one friend in our group who was vegetarian and he had a great selection of vegetarian friendly dishes available to him. Dietary restrictions: Our server asked immediately upon arriving if anyone had food allergies or other dietary restrictions.

Like some other The kegs this one also has a good food quality, nice atmosphere and dark interior with dimmed lighting which is hard to find specially in the area. We normally visit the bar later at nightand it always has a good vibe.

We had an amazing birthday dinner for my brother! We ordered the prime rib dinner and it was cooked to perfection! Our server Zach was great, he made sure we were always comfortable and happy with the food! We will definitely be coming back!

I would give this a 4.5 stars every time me and my family it s awesome and the service and food was amazing just at the beginning it took about 20 minutes to get our water that s the only thing that I wasn t the happiest with. Ps I did not take any photos Kid-friendliness: Kids had a great time and everyone was nice to the kids.

Not happy! We live in the area and dined at this location many times. The steak is consistently good. But the experience is getting worse. Long waiting time for the table despite the reservation, crowded cold lobby, busy waiters. The minute we left the cutlery on the plate, stuff was asking if we done. This is not the first time I noticed this attitude towards customers. We waited for table 17 min, were seated for 45. Felt rushed and unappreciated.

Group of 6 for a birthday celebration. Food was food, as always. Steak cooked perfectly. I usually get mixed veg as a side to my steak. I chose cauliflower mash. Unappealing look and bland taste. Ill go back to the veg next time. Restaurant was very busy and we waited 1/2 hour after our reservation to be seated. The manager came by through our dinner to apologize and offered complimentary desserts for everyone.

I had dinner at the Keg on Sunday after a long pause going there. The steaks were over seasoned with black peppercorn which ruined the taste of the steaks nor pleasant to eat. I didnt feel I got value for what I paid. Appetizers were ok. The lady who served us was great! I expected a better food experience.

The food was great, but unfortunately, our server rushed us through our entire meal. Two of five people were finished eating their main dish, and he came and took away the empty plates. The other three guests commented, Do we have to hurry up and finish our meals. It got to the point where I had to pull him aside and ask him to slow down so that we could enjoy our meal. The atmosphere was great. However, the vinyl upholstery on the bench seats makes you perspire, and your clothes stick to it. Had a much better experience at the Newmarket location.

Our server and food were excellent and the restaurant was swamped. The people at the table next to us were loud, rude and belligerent but their waitress was very professional and handled it with grace. They complained as soon as they sat down and were still complaining as we left. This made the end of our dinner not as pleasant but it was only because of the rude customers. Other than that as always everything else was perfect.

Our party of five enjoyed a delicious steak meal on the evening of Sunday, September 29th. Our reservation was for 7:00pm and we were seated promptly. Our table hostess Rebecca was knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. Our meal was brought to our table by three servers . The slice of cheesecake with the the candle for the birthday celebrant was really the icing on the cake :). We highly recommend this restaurant.

Manager Frank i cant beleive the words that came out of your mouth Just had the worst experience.. after having two bites of my 60$ fillet it tasted sour (comfirmed by my friend who had also a bite)and when they brought me the bill they still charged my app and drink? he(Frank) told me here at the keg we only refund the bad items not the ones you enjoyed? Enjoyed? Did not enjoy it onv lost my appetite and waiting to feel sick Frank should not be in the hospitality business i really cant believe the way i was treated.. i left furious and still am and all because of 30$

I am very happy with our birthday dinner at keg Aurora yesterday. Pure pre-covid good quality. Food was nice and the waiter was nice and accommodating. Steak is proper filling size cooked to perfection. Our picky toddler ate 4 big slices. They have clean family restroom and cozy atmosphere. Sure the price gone up quite a bit but I would still recommend spend the money here for the service and food. Kid-friendliness: have nice clean family restroom and changing table.

I recently dined at the steakhouse and had the pleasure of being served by the fantastic Marsis. They were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. We had our reservations for 7:45, arrived there 5 minutes earlier, to our disbelief they gave our table at 9pm. At 8:30 I talked to the manager and asked why are we still not seated, she said customers who were seating at the table we were supposed to seat have over stayed for 30 minutes and we should have our table soon. Anyhow, we had to wait another 30 minutes to be seated. At the beginning she said appetizers are on keg since we waited so long. She has to understand, the reason people come to Keg is to enjoy the vibe, service and the food, I don t think couple of appetizers could fix the fact that they destroyed my son s birthday, I was so upset, we also had two kids who were so excited to have stake, but thanks to the keg mismanagement, one of them fall sleep and didn t even have dinner. Very poorly managed store in my opinion. At the end when they brought the bill, they even put all the appetizers on the bill as well, that shows this manager is not qualified to manage this restaurant chain. I truly like Keg and we go to different locations few times a month. Unfortunately this location is going down the drain, last night standing there, people leaving pissed off because they were waiting at the door for so long make me realize I don t want to go there never again!!

Prime rib was perfect. The sides, mashed potatoes, etc were not even warm. Billy Minor pie was amazing. The only real detriment was that it is so very dark in there it was very hard for my 81 year old husband to navigate to the table, see his family on the other side of the table or eating his meal. Is it that necessary to be almost pitch black in a restaurant. Please think about the seniors that come as well.

PROS: -Friendly and efficient service -Nice ambiance -Very fresh and tasty food -Plenty of parking out front. CONS: -Music is too loud in the bar, it s hard to carry on a conversation. OVERAL IMPRESSION I can recommend this restaurant as a must to visit.

We had great service at this location.

I ve never had food poisoning like this in my entire life. It s been 24 hrs since it started and there is no end in sight. Pretty aggravating to say the least, ESPECIALLY considering I had said at one point that I was immune compromised I work for Recipe Ultd., I m shocked and disappointed considering our bill, with tip, was around $350. It s nice that the dinning room manager personally delivers allergy meals (I wasn t expecting a manager to strut, yes strut, to my table) , however, maybe the focus shouldn t be delivery but instead safe food preparation and storage? I know this can happen anywhere and to anyone but It feels criminal the way my meal alone was probably around $60-70 and the leftovers are now in the garbage. The very thought of the Keg makes me feel debilitatingly nauseous now

Went for my birthday with my family and it was an excellent experience. Billy pie for the free dessert was to dieeee for. Ordered a drink I didn t end up liking and the waitress was kind enough to send it back and take it off the bill. 5/5 would recommend this place!

Booked a reservation for our anniversary at the Keg in Aurora reserved for 7 30. Got their 30 minutes early asking if there are any seats available, the waitress was nice and told us she would see what she could do we ended up waiting till 8:10 before giving up and eating elsewhere. Not sure what the point of reservations are when you arent even seated at your appointed time. Really disappointed and felt like our time was wasted. Hopefully in the future the Keg Aurora does not take reservations they cannot fill.

OK, so where to begin with these guys We ve been coming to this location for over 12 years and let me tell you they re not perfect, but the management tries to be which is very important. Crystal (manager) Goes over and above to ensure that her business is run flawlessly. At times things out of their control can go wrong, but management are always there to make things right and this is why we continue to come again. It s impossible for every dish to come out perfect, For every reservation To be seated exactly as timed but what s important Is that if they don t get it right the first time they do their best to make sure that the customers is happy and that s a lot more than you can say for most businesses out there today. Most times though the food is fantastic and it is a pleasure to support them! Love this place

Nice a clean

As a ridiculous regular over 15 years, its a shame the quality is declining with the food. Noticed the mashed potatoes looking just non appetizing and tasting too buttery, vege selection with steak meals is getting basic (cheap), and cheesecake just a generic cheap brand now, totally tastes store bought, not fresh. And servers seem so rushed now, not listening and screwing up orders. Wheres the smile and mild conversation? Work on tips, correct?

This place is hit or miss. Last 2 visits have been a miss. Poorly trained server and over cooked steaks. Granted they were quickly re cooked and a complimentary dessert and coffees provided so they do get at least 3 stars. I will return because its 5 min away I just hope they improve on the consistency..

This was the first time going to The Keg in quite some time however I was so surprised with the overall experience. The food was absolutely top notch and my steak was cooked EXACTLY the way I wanted it. I ve gone to other Kegs but this location was so much better. I sat in the bar side of the restaurant with my family as I prefer more of a casual dinner and I loved it! Our server Maria was very welcoming, great to chat with and helped create an absolute fantastic dining experience. I will 100% return to this location in the future and willing to drive from Newmarket as I prefer this Keg vs the Newmarket location. Thanks Maria and Keg Chefs for a great dinner!

Just finished celebrating a birthday. Overall the service was pretty good. Our food was good, not great. Steaks were cooked as asked however we all agreed that the portions were VERY small. We had about 4 green beans and 3 pieces of carrot. The steaks were fairly small, and the loaded baked potato had 2 bacon bits, 3 pieces of chive and less than a tablespoon of sour cream. The birthday boy received his free pie, however no one else at our table was asked if they wanted dessert or coffee/tea. For the amount of money spent on the meal, we all left feeling a little underwhelmed.

Absolutely amazing experience here! We came here for my daughters birthday, and the food was terrific! Jenna, our waitress,was SO nice and super friendly with my daughter. We had asked to both change our table and order separate take-out, and Jenna responded to these things with a positive attitude, helping us right away! We barely had to wait for our meals to come! The atmosphere was absolutely lovely! It looked super fancy and beautiful, every part inside it! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like a fancy meal.

Good steak and service.

Received a gift card for x-mas and decided to use it for our 29th Wedding Anniversary which fell on Memorial Day Monday. We were shocked at how busy the restaurant was - even the hostess and our waiter Louis said they were caught off guard with the volume of customers. It was obvious to us that Louis was extremely busy, but he provided ideal service under the circumstances and sent us home with a complimentary slice of cheesecake. Definitely a splurge to dine here but the portions and quality of food were extremely good.

The staff in the bar area were absolutely fantastic, Maria you make a mean Caesar.... it was to die for!

Amazing place , great experience

We ordered tuna tartare as appetizers, there was no sauce inside, big chop of avocado with raw tuna on top. The waiter sent the food back and changed us with new one. Then our rib steak is completely undercooked, and it was sent back and new one was served. Complete ruin the mood of the night. Luckily we wasn t celebrating any event, was just a normal date night. I went to many the keg restaurants, Aurora is the worst.

After an 8 hour plus drive from NY my family and I wanted some great food to end the day. From beginning(the front desk) to end(our servers) the service was superb. Thank you Brianna and Sandy. We ordered the fried calamari and the lobster bisque to start. My boys loved it. The warm bread served with butter was appreciated. My boys ordered sirloin steaks and the prep on both-well done and medium rare was delish. My greatest surprise when I ordered the blackened chicken was the serving of beets with broccoli. I do not eat beats and I was amazed how well they taste. Service was attentive, warm and friendly. Special thank you again to Sandy. We will definitely be back for dessert! Parking: There a lot of parking spots.

We had a very disappointing experience. We made reservations noting our anniversary and brought our kids with us. When we were seated they asked what we we re celebrating (more in this later). Ordered wine that came almost at the same time as the food and they forgot the Ceasar salad we were sharing. The food was ok at best. We both remember things tasting amazing and we were disappointed how mediocre things were. We ordered the prime rib and the top sirloin. When done our meals they asked if we wanted to order dessert.we said no so the server asked just the bill then? . We had to ask if the kids meals came with dessert (knowing that it did) to which he replied, yes, two scoops of ice cream each . When it arrived it was only one scoop. The server seemed dismissive when he brought the bill. At this point they still didn t offer or mention a celebratory dessert like they did to the table next to us or how so many reviewers have mentioned. We never got it. After we left we also realized they charged us for a classic dinner which we didn t ask for. Overall a very disappointing experience. We heard great things about this location and were so excited to go to the Keg to celebrate our anniversary. However, we left feeling like we spent too much for what we got, were let down and may never go back there again.

Above average service than other locations. Not sure why they don t have salt and pepper on table. Ordered medium steak but a little overcooked. Was surprised they can split sides if you ask for share one steak. Overall it s great experience here.

We ordered a take out (order #48632613) today and when my son opened up his salmon, the sauce is missing from order. It is disappointing that the order was not checked when delivered to customer as it would be impossible to drive back and forth to pick up the missing sauce.

Been to 100x way better locations( Vaughan and Toronto )I came all the way from Toronto to this location. I feel like they don t make the food here with compassion.( probably Because Its Mother s Day and they just see it as a money grab day) Never have I had crispy onions with a steak how embarrassing and a cup of ginger ? Gross. The food is way better in to Toronto and Vaughan location. Definitely won t be back neither would I recommend this location. The steak was fatty and cold. All we wanted to do was pay and leave. First time not even ordering dessert that s how unsatisfying the food was.

Our family went there on Saturday night before mothers day, and was extremely busy, we ended up reserving a table, and still had to wait, but Anton the manager was made aware of this, and offered to compensate us for some drinks, which was appreciated, as well as great service we got from our waiter, will definitely go back to this location in future.

Doesnt get any better than this, Totally totally Enjoyable. Best Keg Steakhouse compared to any other Keg Steakhouse I have visited. For the best experience in having a steak you must order the Ribeye fantastic. Its been a while since I have experienced such a delicious meal. Expensive but if you really want to treat yourself its definitely worth every dollar spent. I was still flying high on such a wonderful experience the next day. Thank you Keg and all the wonderful staff for such a delightful experience.

Always a great experience. Got there just before 6pm Saturday Oct 1. The perfect time to arrive. We waited at the bar for 20 minutes before being seated. Just right! No need to talk about the food. I find that you always get what you ask for and just how you like it. We were there celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary- and had a wonderful time.

Celebrated our family Eastmas (Easter and Christmas together) dinner on Saturday March 30th at this Keg location for the first time. We were a large group which included two super seniors with dementia (one with mobility challenges too). Brendan our server was superb and attentive to us all, going especially above and beyond to patiently accommodate and put at ease our sometimes confused super seniors with their unique menu requests as well as assistance with understanding and paying the final bill. Restaurant manager also came by during our meal to say hello and to check that everything was satisfactory. We were impressed to see him assisting the servers by bringing out meals from the kitchen and circulating visibly around the dining room, supporting his team and interacting with other customers. The food was excellent as usual: delicious, perfectly timed, portioned and prepared. Atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing (despite the dining room being very busy as expected). One look around at the Keg staff and management interacting with customers (and one another) as they quickly and efficiently go about their jobs and you can see one important reason why the Keg continues to be a popular go-to. Although we are happy with and live closer to the Leslie Street location in Toronto, we would drive up to visit this Keg location again! Thank you and well done! Went for dinner with my mom and I thought it was very good , we had crispy cauliflower as an app , then had ceaser salad to start with Keg Classic sirloin, steak cooked perfect and well seasoned, only negative thing was the cauliflower is served in a hot skillet which makes it go a bit soggy after a bit but it was still very tasty , service was excellent and overall very happy with the experience, thanks again .

My wife, baby girl, and I went to the Keg in Aurora to celebrate my Birthday a few weeks ago. I make a habit of always making a reservation as I think it seems to always streamline the process of getting a good table and not have to wait around too long. When we came in we were welcomed by a nice hostess. We gave our name and she saw our reservation, however no table had been previously picked out before our arrival, she didnt know it was my birthday (Not that it really matters to me but its good for the restaurant to have that little extra touch of detail), and she wasnt aware we requested a high chair. Thankfully, she put us at a great quite table just outside of the bar area in Gregs section. Greg made up for our poor experience with making a reservation. He introduced himself, asked us if we were celebrating anything, read out table well, hit all the steps of service, made sure we were happy with our order, and surprised us with a slice of ice cream cake free of charge. A free birthday cake is something you dont usually see anymore so that was a really nice touch. I liked that they show you the cost of the cake on your bill to ensure you properly tip the waiter. Just because the restaurant buys you something, doesnt mean you dont tip the waiter. Thanks Greg! We will be back and will request your section :)

Food was good, very busy, and felt extremely crammed in. The food was great but the atmosphere felt more like a fast food place then what I am use to at other keg restaurants.

Enjoyed another wonderful meal here last night. Was to hungry to take any photos! I highly recommend the Blue Cheese Crusted Filet Mignon. Absolutely amazing! Parking: Does get crowded nearest the restaurant but plenty of spots in the neighbouring lot.

OMG! What an amazing dinner we had. Rebecca was our server who was amazing. Never had such amazing service. We order mushroom Neptune Caesar salad prime rib peppercorn steak Top set loin and lobster. For dessert we got crème brûlée chocolate cake cheese cake and coffee for all Everything came out hot and fresh and Uber delicious. When we got here our reservation was for 8. The previous ppl were not leaving we waited over an hour. The manager covered 2 rounds of drinks and dessert with coffee. Rebecca was awesome. Thank you for such a great night! If you come here ask for Rebecca!!! She is the BEST!

I was so amazed at the service. We had to wait over an hour with reservations and we got both drinks and food for free. Thats service. Love Rebeccas service. Food was great. Absolutely no complaints.

Really disappointing for a restaurant of this supposed calibre. For couples of two, don t expect a table that is any more accommodating than a seat on a budget airline.. jammed and wait staff leaving used plates on any available surface- even if it s 12 inches from your place setting . If you are going to spend 200-300 dollars on a nice night out, don t go here- they have lost their purpose as a preferred place to enjoy a nice night out

Normal excellence I would expect from the Keg. Did you know the mashed cauliflower was Super Good?!

Though eating at 6pm on Sunday is very busy, the service and food was amazing. Shawn was a great and entertaining server who told us some great stories. It was my son s birthday and he wanted something discreet, so Shawn put the candle on the bill. Great idea on his part and my son loved it. Props to him.

Service and atmosphere are amazing, my New York strip was a little dry (asked for medium rare, was closer to well done), the rest of our meal was excellent

Ordered the steak Oscar, when it came, the steak was tough and it was on the cold side. The service wasnt great either, we waited for at least 15 minutes before we even saw our waitress and she was not very attentive. For the price you pay this should be a lot better. I would not recommend the keg go someplace else. Get more of a Bang for your buck.

Booked reservations months in advance doesn t seem to matter at this location. Just show up and wait over an hour like everyone else. A 16 person birthday celebration was delayed over an hour waiting for a table. This caused the night to be way to late and other plans to be basically cancelled. Not impressed with the free appies that cost the business nothing. Nothing against the food or wait staff. Just poor management of reservations.

Youll NEVER have a bad experience at the Keg. Doesnt matter which one you go to. I had a bday dinner here in Jan with my friends. My usual Keg in Richmond Hill was fully booked and could not accommodate us (usually our biggest party is like 15-16 ppl deep) and I called them almost a month in advance. Serena, the hostess (or manager??) on the line secured me a res for 18 ppl which I was so thankful for. Not only that, but I amended my res by asking for 2 additional seats last minute (a couple days before) and she was STILL able to accommodate me. Talk about incredible front-of-house service. My group got some nice cozy seating at the back of the resto. We had 2 servers and 1 guy constantly topping off our water. Marcey (I think that was her name?? sorry if I got it wrong) was great. Constantly checked up on us throughout the night. Some of my friends at the other end of the table got overcooked prime rib twice so they had to send it back, but they got a perfect, medium rare, center cut on the 3rd time and were really happy. The manager also went above and beyond by giving them some items on the house because of the mistakes/send-backs. +1 for great service. As far as food goes, its always SOLID. My go-to order remains the secret menu 24 oz keg omega sized prime rib (medium rare) with a twice baked potato. Its such a nice big hunk of meat and I love it. DAT GLORIOUS EDGE-TO-EDGE PINK HUE. The billy miner pie is also one of my fave desserts (Side note: I didnt know you could buy a whole billy miner cake from them!! lol). As is customary, I got a free slice since it was my bday. So far, the only Keg Ive ever had to drop one star for was the one inside Embassy Suites in Niagara Falls, because we literally got neglected the entire meal (food was still killer good so I still gave 4 stars) but thats off tangent. This Keg was just as awesome as the one I go to in Richmond Hill. Heres the kicker which I always preach about. Its the fact that the Keg DOESNT SLAP on auto gratuity for large groups. My friends and I always tip considerably MORE because of this honest business practice in a time where so many restos are just lazily slapping on auto gratuity (and the service can be sometimes outright terrible too). The Keg provides excellent service while not slapping the auto-grat on which we never take for granted. It just feels like the servers actually EARN and deserve their tips. Cheers to many more bdays here in the future!

Not a bad place. But for the money we pay, we can do better at other establishments nearby. The Keg used to be my go-to place in the past for special occasions, but that has come to an abrupt end this past Thursday. These guys became fat cats post pandemic with too much demand on their hands. I made a reservation two weeks in advance to celebrate our oldest daughters 16th birthday this past Thursday. The place was packed. When I checked in at the counter for the three of us, the hostess punched a few things on her iPad then ignored us. I thought she will call us when we are ready to be seated, so we stood on the side. Only after I saw other people checking in and getting seated, and in fact people with no reservations getting seated ahead of us, it occured to me that hostess forgot about us! Once we got seated, it turned out that even though my daughter works at Swiss Chalet and entitled to a corporate discount as an employee benefit (Recipe Corp owns The Keg, Swiss Chalet etc.), The Keg has recently decided that that does not apply to them. As I said, fat cats, too much demand from consumers like us. We dropped $400 on a full course dinner, including tips. We had to send back one of the wine glasses because it was visibly dirty. The escargot appetizer was mostly mushroom caps, the crab cake was tasty, the fried calamary was full of deep fried halappeno slices. The main courses were good, but lacked presentation, unbecoming of a supposedly high-end restaurant. The cheese cake was good, but again, no presentation. The mile-high chocolate cake reminded me to my youth when I used to shop only at No Frills: thats where you can get that tastless, sugary stuff. I love sweets, but I just could not fisnish it. Very disappointed. We will never go back. Down the street Fishbone is just a much better place in my experience: great food, awesome presentation, imeginative dishes, unique cocktails, friendly service, same price as The Keg. I just hope one day they will not become fat cats.

Always great appetizers and steaks! Drinks were awesome too. The experience is always top notch and the fact I can book a reservation is another reason why we go to this location. One small over head pot light was out which truly makes it difficult to read the menu...some attention to those details would have given it a 5 star for atmosphere.

My husband and I went here tonight with my 2 kids (2&3yo). I ordered my steak well done but it came more like medium. My server immediately took it to cook a bit more but in the meantime I had filled up on other stuff and the kids definitely wouldn t wait! So I asked them to pack it up for me. The manager came by apologized profusely and removed the entire meal from the bill! I m giving a 5 star review because mistakes are bound to happen. And that s ok. No one is perfect. But it s all about how you handle your mistakes and I was very impressed. The service is outstanding, The food is delicious and they are able to make amends for their mistakes which I can definitely appreciate. They even gave the kids free ice creams - even though we didn t order any kids meals. I ate the steak later tonight and it was perfectly cooked. Well done but still moist (which is hard to do). Great place and I highly recommend going there!

February 2024 Update *** Arrived on a Tuesday. Place was packed. Not having reservations proved to be concerning. Luckily they found us a table within 5 minutes. Our server, Chantale, was just on point. She catered to our table and knew what the kids wanted before they could ask. Service was exceptional. The food was as expected, delicious and so filling. You know that adage, if it aint broke... Keep at it Keg Aurora. Bravo!

Went there for Valentines Day with a reservation for 7:30. Got there at 7:20 and were told reservations were behind by 10-15 minutes so we went to the bar to wait with a buzzer. After an hour and 10 mins the buzzer did not go off and as we were really hungry we left to get food at a McDonalds because it was already 8:30 and most places were closed :(

Note: this was on valentines day. Summary: they dont care about your reservation. Showed up 10 minutes before our reservation, and lined up, there was 4 people including the manager behind the counter, at one point they just started ignoring the customers trying to check in for about 5 minutes until a lady just cut the line and they just served her right away. Anyways we finally got to the counter and got told they were 10-15 minutes over their reservations, no problem we sat at the bar and waited, an hour went by, the lady who cut the line got a table but we never did, so we decided to leave. Gave the little buzzer back to a waiter and told her we were leaving and she didnt seem to care at all, which fair enough it wasnt her fault.

Booked a reservation and was met with total confusion and disorganization, super disappointed in the service.

We had a reservation at 5:30pm yesterday and we came at 5pm. All people came in after us got a table except us. We finally got a table at around 6pm. The staff at the front desk were not helpful at all, we went to check 3 times and said the same thing. We were so disappointed about the service at the front desk. We were the only group of people that were there waiting for so long. I am not sure why we were the only group that needed to be waited for more than an hour. I dont think people came after us had a reservation before 5:30pm. Most people got their tables within the next 15 minutes. I heard a group had a reservation at 5:10pm amd they got the table at 5:08pm. There were few groups came after 5:30pm still got a table before us. I regret to come to this location for the new year day as well as celebrate my daughters birthday and we wont come back again. We came many times and the food and services were very good, We used to have a table within 10 minutes. I dont know why we treated so differently this time. I strongly dont recommend people to go to this location unless you want to ruin your day!!!

Would ve been better rating if the lobster dinner was better. One of the two lobsters wasn t fresh, smelly and mushy. The other one is fine.

The chef never manages to cook a Chicago style NY peppercorn steak at a medium doneness. Staff is always nice about resolving the issue. It would be nice to get it right for once. I might have to go bank to the Esplanade location for that though.

Dont bother making reservations, they will just give your table away to walk-ins. The Keg has very nice food and is extremely filling but I was extremely disappointed to find out that after reserving a seat at the Keg a day before our plan to go, we arrived to find our table had been taken, and people who had also made reservations for earlier times than us had been waiting for up to an hour for a table with the promise of a 15 minute wait. Edit: We had received a call out table was ready over an hour later from when we left.

If you want to actually eat, find a different place to eat!! Many of patrons (not just myself) had reservations at 5:30/6pm and were having to wait more than 40minutes. I had a reservations for 6pm where I arrived slightly early was told I would be seated by 6pm and at 6:10pm was then told there was one (1) table ahead of me. I went to the front again at 6:20pm and this time I was told there were two (2), this was after another couple with the SAME reservation time who arrived after us was told they were now one (1) table. Its clear this restaurant does NOT know how to manage reservations or general table seating Or they lie to keep patrons from leaving. They allowed the front area of the restaurant to fill up with a crowd of between 20-50 people squished all being told lies about when they may or may not get to sit for there pre-booked reservation. This is post covid petri dish and a fire hazard. The front staff were spending time just chatting. The management of this restaurant needs to either not take reseverations or honour them you cannot simply seat tables overtop and then expect those who pre-planned to come to wait the same if not longer than someone without a reservation. Disappointed is an understatment and I know from the chatter in the waiting area EVERYONE there was mad that had a reservation. Think twice before making this a location for a special night or date night as you are likely to leave feelling like you wasted a babysititer just to sit in a lobby. If there was an option for 0 out of 5 I would have given that.

Always a lovely experience at the Aurora location! Steak was cooked perfectly, super juicy and delicious. Paired the filet mignon with garlic mash and jumbo grilled shrimp, so good! Amazing service as well, very friendly and polite! *Update* Honestly this location has just gone downhill. You make a reservation and still have to wait 35 minutes to be seated. You will be crunched between people waiting. You may not even get your cutlery and need to go find someone to get some while your food gets cold, this was our experience. I understand that Saturdays are busy but this was just unprofessional. They did give us one free drink which I appreciate but unfortunately we will not be coming back to this location.

Worst experience. My partner and I went in around 7:30pm with no reservation, it was busy and the hostess said it would be 45-65min which we understand. They ran out of the machines that notifies u when our seat was going to be ready so they said to leave our number. Knowing it was so busy, we shopped around and came back in 45min to check our seating and the hostess said that there were 4 tables ahead of us so we just sat on the bench area waiting.. people were walking in without reservations like us were going in before us and that s when I asked the hostess when is it our turn. From a big crowd of people waiting for tables, it was just us and another couple that came in 15min. Hostess said that they have texted, called left a voice mail - we received nothing. Say our reception was not good (we had full bars), the 3 ways of contact would have shown up by now. Nope, nothing. So she told us the next available table would be us for sure . We were already upset at that point because now it s 9:30pm - 2 hours of wait on their mistake. They called the couple that had been waiting just 15min and that s when I got really upset and frustrated. As she was seating them, she lied again telling us how she was just about to seat us. Finally we were seated after 2 hours - we asked to speak to the manager. We explained to her the situation and she was apologetic and said she will check in on the situation. Also how they had everything available just not one appetizer. Ok. Shortly she came back and basically told us their 3 methods of contacting us pushed us onto no show and want to believe in the girls as there were no reasons to do this. Maybe we were the only Asians waiting? I don t know. As we got started with the bread, I noticed some black and green spots which I showed the manager - she said something could have been mixed up with the bread like lettuce. It was mold. This particular manager never came back to check on us after and somehow now they don t have any more breads available for the night. At the end of the night, they covered the two wine we ordered. Our server was great but the manager and hostesses there made my dining experience at Keg horrible. I d rather have paid for the $28 than wait 2 hours. I go to Keg quite often and even for my birthdays every year but from this experience I don t think I can anymore.

My friends and I go there for many occasions and have had great food every time and excellent service. It is our go to place after exhausting other alternatives. Always feel welcomed.

Great place to have dinner with friends! Food is always pretty good. The escargot and the fresh bread are the best appetizer. The calamari is going down hill, they are adding lots of preppers and jalapenos and the calamari is overcooked. Food is getting very expensive, one steak for 60 is a bit too much, plus a glass of wine and dessert you end up paying 200 for two!

Food was excellent. Went on a busy Friday night to the restaurant was a little chaotic but very good food and good service considering the state of affairs that night.
