I Love this place, me and my wife have been going here a handful of times and have never been disappointed. The owners are extremely friendly! The soup broth is excellent.

We had the best Vietnamese food here. They are amazing. They are super kind and their hospitality always go above and beyond. Parking: Its a big plaza with lots of parking spots.

We had a wonderful experience at 478 PHO restaurant today. We ordered the crispy meat spring rolls and the large beef pho soup bowls. The spring rolls were crisp and tasty. The beef pho smelled and tasted authentic with onions, green onions, and lean beef cooked perfectly. A large plate of cooked bean sprouts, huge portion of fresh mints and fresh parsley with fresh limes were given to add to our pho. We cant wait to return to 478 pho and try the other authentic dishes in their menu. Our total bill came to $48 for 2 orders of spring rolls and 2 large beef pho. Parking: Ample parking

Ordered take out from this location. Great food, great staff (even tried to offer me a free drink because they thought they inconvenienced me as I had to wait two minutes for my order to be ready), authentic Vietnamese food. Will be back!

I always come here to dine- in for lunch and I am in love ! The pho is delicious- the broth is on point, I also get some satay on the side because I like it a little spicey and it s unique and authentic. Consider me a PHO-Natic ! The iced Vietnamese coffee is also great. Service is always friendly. Prices and portions are reasonable.

I just brought home pho from this restaurant. I ordered rare beef, pho and shrimp pho. The rare beef is sitting in the broth fully cooked. I order pho takeout all the time, and have never experienced the rare meat being in the broth and not on the side, this will go in the garbage.

This was our first time eating at Pho478. The food was delicious and the service was superb. It s a cute family run business and the owners are super sweet and welcoming. I definitely would recommend we had the pho and cha goi.

Super yummy food, the pho had such a clean hearty home taste and great portion for the price. The fresh spring rolls had the perfect amount of filling and had a great texture. I tried out this restaurant for the first time tonight after a recommendation and was very impressed! Not only was the food prepared quickly for pick up but it was also very tasty and fresh when picked up. One of the employees even helped carry food out to the car which was very kind. Overall, I would recommend to anyone in search of some good food and service! 10/10 Vegetarian options: They were very accommodating to my vegetarian diet and made the food so delicious!

True Viet style pho broth is infused with spices and herbs to produce a deeply flavorful, aromatic while retaining almost translucent, water like colors. Theres also a subtle sweetness.This is it! Other Viet phos in aurora are more fusion Chinese styles, wherein it emphasizes large portions served with msg soup. Nothing wrong with it, just a different style. As with any family owned business, cash is king. Please refrain from using credit cards, as it costs the restaurant up to 4% per transaction. Margins are already thin, so every little bit helps

Came to Aurora for a visit. Ordered the Pho Ga (Chicken Soup) and Rare Beef with Beef Ball Noodles. Wow! The chicken is juicy not dry (in the soup) which is rare for most Vietnamese restaurants in Newmarket/Aurora. We asked to have the rare beef cooked to well done (without issue) and it was terrific. A lot of care in the preparation of the soup and the chicken/beef. Theres a nice slight sweetness in the broth. Yum. Cant wait to try the other menu items.

The portions were huge and the food tasted amazing. The restaurant was super clean and the service was super quick and nice. The food was still hot. The food is very affordable as well. I would definitely recommend going here when you re in Aurora.

Discovered this place by chance one day and we were pleasantly surprised to find some of the most delicious pho we ever had. They are extremely appreciative and grateful for your business, and we will be going back many times in the future.

Second time coming to this place and the pho broth was just as flavourful as we remembered! It is so rich and satisfying (more than other pho places that we have tried), especially during a cold day. Today we also tried the vermicelli noodles with spring rolls and pork - the sauce was incredible, pork cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the spring rolls so crunchy with a good amount of meat inside. The customer service was also great - I came in to pick up takeout and when they saw I was on my own, they hurried to help me hold my bags to my car without me even asking, ensuring that I was sitting in my car safely before shutting the door for me. This was going to above and beyond, and was so appreciated as it was really snowy today. Thank you for a great experience! Go try them out! (sorry no photos as we ate all of the food too quickly!)

I got pho dac viet for 18.50 for lunch. Portion was good, and homemade Chilli sauce made pho soup better.

I ve been on the hunt for a good and authentic Vietnamese restaurant around the area, and so happy to have finally found it! We ordered pho, a vermicelli bowl, fresh spring rolls (I had already eaten one in the photo), and Vietnamese coffee and everything was delicious. Really great and friendly service as well. Will definitely be back to try more dishes!

Pho portions were very small, the broth was not hot at all and the meats were not fresh. Flavour of broth wasnt bad but disappointed in not getting rare beef even though I ordered it. Vermicelli noodles were warm when they should be cold. Porkchops were PAPER THIN. First set of spring rolls came out in like 1min (maybe microwaved leftover?) but second batch took so long to come out. I enjoyed the flavour of the broth and spring rolls but unfortunately I wouldnt recommend.

I love Pho and try to find the best locations in each city by searching reviews. The Pho was average at best. The broth wasnt clean and clear. It also didnt have authentic taste. Very little noodles for a large and had the thickest noodles I have ever had. I wont be going back.

Weve been to way too many PHOsss, yet this is argubaly the best one. The service (as many other reviews mentioned) is truly exceptional. We ordered extra noodle for our little one and were amazed to see it came with soup and even with green onions (rather than you know merely dry noodle in the bowl..) We all loved it and will definitely come often.

New Pho resto in my hood run by a very friendly Vietnamese family. Traditional dark wood decor with comfortable banquet seating. Service was quick, food was well prepared, flavourful and reasonably priced for the generous portions. Pho broth was clear and clean tasting with the hints of the aromatics if a touch on the sweet side. Good balance of meat to noodle. Rice dish had a well cooked pork chop and egg was perfectly fried with soft yolk and nice fried scallion garnish. They brought good sized extra bowls, plates and cutlery as we were sharing and were very helpful. Condiments and cutlery were well organized on the table with little sauce dishes included. Jasmine tea was included and came out at the right temperature, not scalding hot. Only comment is they could offer more toppings and sauce. One lime slice and a tiny bowl of Nuoc Mam sauce was insufficient and they could ask if you need more inorder to save waste. Pho toppings could include traditional sawleaf herb and red Chilis but thats extra and most wont miss it.

This was a good place, the service was great. The food was not hot. It was cold when we started to eat our food. We were disappointed because we had spend alot of money and ordered alot of different foods. But our food was cold.

Pho noodles are naturally very good and they have a nice sweetness that pairs well with the generous basil they offer, however the real stars are the rice noodles. Prices are surprisingly reasonable also :)

Came here for lunch today with my wife for the first time since moving into the area recently from Richmond Hill so we wanted to try out all the different Pho places we can find in Aurora and Newmarket. Came at around 1:30pm so it was not busy. We ordered a Pho Dac Biet and a Bun Bo Hue as these are our go-to noodles at most Pho restaurants. Both are tasty and have their subtle differences from other places. The beef from the pho was quite lean and a little more dry than I would have preferred. Portion was less than some others out there but for lunch is enough. Will definitely come back and try their snacks and rice items.

Food was average. However the portion size is not the same as other pho places given the price is more. Only went BC it was new to us and very close to our house. I rather drive further next time I want pho.

Absolutely delicious. Me and two friends came in here and this is easily one of the best pho, if not the best I ve tried. It s a small thing, but I especially like the little details for example how they have the tables set up and the glass glasses they use (often times these restaurants use plastic). We saw the rating is high on Google, so we gave it a try and this is good as expected. First thing first, the staffs are friendly and welcoming. The options are various , so we picked pho(s), shrimp spring rolls and fire shrimp roll. The chef told us that the bone soup made of 14 hrs, so definitely *no MSG added. All the dishes we ordered are taste wonderful and satisfying. The presentation of the dishes were nicely placed, too. This place is roomy and you may sit comfortably with distance to each table. One thing that not many ppl noticed, but I personally care very much. The staffs at kitchen wear hair net to work for sanitization reason and this is way deserved more than 5 stars in such small business. Im not living closed by, Ill definitely spread out the word to my friends and come back.

This is authentic. Do you need to hear more? Vietnam is a favourite destination for my wife and I to travel to, and this is one of the most authentic Vietnamese restaurants we ve been to here. We think this is more southern style with that hint of sweetness, but it s incredibly flavourful and I have no notes for the chef. It s clearly family run and they care about their service and quality. Highly recommended to try this out if you enjoy Pho or a nice Viet stew. I spoke with David and Kim afterwards and they are in fact from Saigon. Wonderful people!

Decent food. Has room for improvement, speaking as a viet national. Had the large bowl of pho, with brisket and flank. The pho broth had minced garlic, which made the soup taste more sweeter. It reminded me more of hu tieu my tho instead. Overall, could use more aromatics, lacked that star anise flavour. Also, a little short on meat overall. Noodles could be more chewier, it was over blanched. Definitely felt more home cooked, which is great if you re looking for comfort food. Service was excellent. The owners and the waitstaff were polite and spoke full fluent Vietnamese. I m still tasting the strong fresh garlic hours later from the pho. I ll give this place another try maybe further down the line as it s hard to find a decent Viet place in Aurora.

Came here to try soup on a cooler cloudy day. Food was quick, fresh and tasty! Service was amazing and the Chef came out to present the meal. Told us which fresh herbs would complement the meal and came out after we finished to ensure we were satisfied. Definitely will come back again and continue to sample the menu! Highly recommend!

Best pho I ve ever had and super friendly workers!

The place is great and pho is by far great in Newmarket area, might take 30 -1 minute waiting but better than pre=made and not fresh, but you can also go to drive through order junks and fast service for fast orders also this is a restaurant not a online chat, dont expect full long conversations.

This is such a lovely restaurant with amazing food, wonderful staff, and a beautiful interior. I have come many times for takeout and with friends, and they never fail to impress! When I visited with my friends the chef came to ask how the food was (it was amazing) and gave us clementines as a gift. 11/10 would recommend to anyone looking for good food in York Region.

Came here with my friend a couple weeks ago. We came about an hour before closing but they were still very friendly and accommodating. Pho was a nice huge portion, and very tasty broth. deep fried squid was perfectly cooked. I don t know if it was the owner or chef but the most adorable elderly man came out when we were done to thank us for enjoying his food and it really made me smile. Really made my whole day. Great authentic broth. As others have mentioned the broth is where it s at. If you enjoy a good Pho with a flavourful broth then this is the place to go. We spoke to the owner as he visited each table and mentioned how he takes great pride in his broth and it shows.

The best Spring Rolls ever!

New owners just opened today and this place is amazing!! I had the beef pho and grilled shrimp with rice both amazing very fresh but a huge shoutout to the peanut sauce they give with the rice paper rolls! Very reasonably priced friendly staff helped explain everything. Very clean inside Would 100% recommend you try this place out! I will be back and looking forward to trying more items!

We were here for the grand opening of PHO 478 and the broth was so delicious we had to come back again to try Bun Bo Hue number 41 it s has a kick and they use fresh ingredients perfectly cooked proteins and a broth with incredible depth of flavour. If you havent checked this place out, you definitely should. The food is delicious, the service is amazing. Some of my favs are the bbq pork rice, meat spring rolls, yellow curry chicken, and the mango sticky rice dessert

My go to place in Newmarket/Aurora

Service was pretty slow or the chef is, because the restaurant wasnt busy at all. Do not expect big food portions. Phai thai was too watery not to the real thai standard that I had eaten in Thailand. Our server was wonderful and made the experience more pleasant.

Really yummy and quick takeout

I had pad siew and my wife had vegetable red curry with tofu. The scent of the food alone was incredible and the taste was pretty great too. My only complaint was that the chicken was slightly overcooked, but it didnt take away from the meal enough to subtract a star. The lady who took our order was also very sweet, and we waited no time at all for our food. Well definitely be back!

During Covid we order ahead of time since it is takeout only. Its a tiny place with a great value for authentic Thai food. Dishes are medium sized but delicious and not to expensive. Thai sticky rice is cooked typically Thai style. Most dishes are prepared from scratch so allow extra time after ordering typically 30-45 minutes for a dinner for two. They will make a call 10 minutes before it is ready for pickup.

This is a great find, from outside the Restaurant is not appealing, looks like a small takeout... but once inside, it is a real surprise. The service can be a little slow, they do seem to do a lot of takeout, but the menu is varied, nice choices, great appetizers, chicken satay and spring rolls especially delicious. Shrimp chips and peanut sauce, so good! The main courses, I have tried quite a few are flavourful, a good selection also of vegetarian dishes... , their wine prices are also great.. highly recommended..

Cheap, but not in price. They save on everything. The cheapest ice-cream, I didnt finish my fried banana, because they were dry and had no taste at all.

food took to long to be served.. and some staff didnt speak any english

Great place for as authentic as you can get canada thai food and the staff are great.

Terry gave us the best service ever, very friendly, welcoming and took the time to go over the menu with us. She patiently helped us make our decision on placing the order. It makes a big difference when the service is beyond excellent. We will certainly come back here.
