Le Blues in Baie-Comeau

Nice evening, until the owner started yelling at his employees and denigrating them in front of all the customers. While telling them to leave their camp and that they are good for nothing! Thank you very much for ruining the evening, Madam Landlady.

My starter of brochetta was very dry 3, 4 ti cube of tomato, no sauce, but a lot of cheese... carrot soup from my friend which tasted nothing... The crab cup cakes,,, really not good. ...My salmon meal was very dry, no rice, blues baked potato which tasted nothing....except for the cheese and bacon..The blues hamburger didnt taste much either..... .The service was good and fast this time, otherwise the last time I went there for dinner at 5 p.m. I had to tell the waitresses to turn down the music 3 times....and the service was very, very long. ...the girls were having drinks together at the bar...ouffff made me think if Im going to return the....

We were a group of 17 for a party, we were offered a table dhôte with 3 choices of starter, 3 main choices that we agreed with the establishment. This one changed part of the menu without notice. The photo is the snail starter I would rather say a rubbish snail on garlic bread gratin, then for the main course more than half of the people who took the chicken we ate whatever butcher and removed their plate, the meat was not cooked, the pasta Alfredo was ok but it was basic. The pepper sauce was more of a wine sauce (disgusting in everyones opinion) the dessert was very good but there for the $++ price of the table the dinner was already ruined in advance!

I chose the 9-inch topped pizza for $15 (September 2024). Very very nice surprise, thick crust, well filled, tasty. Delicious! Visiting the Blues for just one time, I would nevertheless recommend the same dish again. Brasserie type, its not the speed of service that is at the forefront. The expression used by the waitress 2 for 1 means a $1 discount on alcohol.

We were not warned that there would be a long wait. At least 30 minutes before receiving a first drink and water. 2h30 after we ordered, they came to warn us that there would be a delay before being served. Arrived at 6:20 p.m., at 9:00 p.m. we decided to leave without eating... When paying for my drinks I informed the waitress that I was disappointed because I would have liked to have been informed when I arrived of the long delay, and so be it The said owner in the cowboy hat came to get involved, telling me that I didnt know what the labor shortage was... she didnt look very young. I strongly advise him to take customer service training.

My message supports the message from a customer Stéphanie Guilbeau and the restaurants response (I really hope not to receive such a dramatic response because its a bit of a shame not to simply admit that its not not normal a situation like this and simply apologize). First, burst into tears is an exaggeration of the situation. At the table, when it was 8:30 p.m., we asked if there was a lot of waiting time left. We arrived at 6:20!!! The waitress was unable to give us an answer. Nowhere in our interactions did we make the waitress uncomfortable. (besides the fact that she was ALREADY uncomfortable being the person to communicate to us and deal in our dissatisfactions). I asked her if it was possible to have compensation or any offering for the incredible slowness we were experiencing and she never gave us an answer and we did not have a visit from the manager. We paid for our drinks, canceled our plates because by 9 p.m., we still had an indefinite wait time. We were hungry and wanted to eat! ((We were about 10 people....)) I always loved going to the Blues. The food is very good but for some time it has been taking a long time and it doesnt encourage you to come back. The last time, I went there with my little girls. We ordered pizza around 5:15 p.m. and at 7:30 p.m. we still had nothing. I very much hope that things will settle down again. Basically, its an excellent restaurant.

Fairly ordinary experience. I ordered spaghetti and instead of being informed that they were out of spaghetti, I was served a plate of rotini with meat sauce. And all this, without asking my opinion! I didnt even have a say in the matter, the waitress served me this and told me that the kitchen had left her no choice! I didnt eat it since I dont like that kind of noodles, but they made me pay for it. In short, its over for me and for the lady who accompanied me. Im going to add one more comment because the restaurant has just added insult to their gaffe!!! The waitress NEVER OFFERED ME another option!!! And the lady who was with me witnessed it. Amazing!

Food is good if you are served correctly. It was the worst service of my life. We went to the Super Bowl and the waitresses were clearly drunk and high. They broke glasses, it took over an hour to be served and I didnt even get a drink because the waitress told me she forgot. I cant believe they could have a Super Bowl in this place. Its better to close the restaurant. The waitresses were talking really loud and arguing in front of the customers. I dont know how you stay open. And given that there are already few choices in Baie-Comeau to eat, hire quality staff. Your name is Le Blues, but the atmosphere doesnt match that name at all, it looks more like a lost hole on the street corner. If it changes for the better, I will remove this comment. The atmosphere may matter the name of the restaurant, but I have never seen something so poorly organized and with such unpleasant service. Im not the only person to think that, there were several of us that evening who thought the same thing. I hope there will be great changes to come and I know its not easy with the lack of staff, but seriously, my colleagues and I really dont want to go back and its sad because that we like to help the local market.

Contrary to reading social media, we discovered a place where it is good to have not only a beer or a glass of wine but also a very honest and very good dinner worthy of the mission of this restaurant-bar. Drum roll, we were treated to an impeccable welcome and service. The manager of Blue s Shannie Buissières and her team do a remarkable and friendly job, even advising us on the menu. Did you know you could choose your wine from the cellar? Thank you Shannie for this pleasant moment.

It s very rare that I speak negatively about my experiences but here I have to! Welcome and service of any kind! The blues burger, as its name suggests, gives you the blues, but what about the Thai-style chicken stir-fry !!! The chicken is industrial reconstituted chicken, in fact the dish seems to come straight out of a package and reheated in the microwave! The sauce is super spicy which makes the dish inedible, its just horrible (5 hours later I still have heartburn). But worst of all, when the waitress asks us if it suits us, she laughs and then leaves when I mention that the dish is too spicy. I eat spicy but someone should have warned me or put symbols on the menu like spicy , at this level for sure I wouldnt have taken it. Very bad experience, I wont come back again!!!

As you know I am bigger and greedy than the average bear. I discovered a restaurant where home cooking is very comforting. The staff is courteous and attentive to your needs. The place is clean even the toilets...and the food is why I invite you to take a little tour.

My meal was good as well as the atmosphere, but the service was lousy Thursday evening! The problem with the service was the waitress who forgot about me. Fortunately a second waitress noticed that I had been sitting for a while. She brought me a menu, but at each step it was the 2nd waitress who came to my rescue. I had some pasta. Finally it was again the 2nd waitress who came to ask me if I wanted grated cheese. Usually its when you put down the plate that you get this offered. In fact I should say thank you to this waitress who took care of me considering that the other one was not doing her job properly.

We had lunch as a group and for fruit we each received 4 red grapes and a quarter of a not fresh orange on our plate! Im sure you can do better than that!! Smoked salmon for eggs benedict would be a great addition to your menu.

Super slow service ordering our meal at 7:45 p.m. (we had been there since 5:30 p.m.) and received the main plate at 10:15 p.m., one of the cooks left crying in the middle of his shift. Im definitely not going back to eat there

I was completely ignored until I asked to order myself. Without being disgusting, the seafood linguini which was ultimately spaghetti was bland. The loud disco music just made me want to leave as quickly as possible.

I am overwhelmed by the horrible service that I and my friends received. Many will say that I am exaggerating in this review or that I was rude in some way to end up receiving service like this, but that is in no way the case. Indeed, we were 6 friends who wanted to have a good dinner during our visit to Baie Comeau. When we arrive there, the waitress - who will accompany us during this fabulous time - arranges our table for us. After ordering - me and my friend warmly asked for an American Burger as well as a Nachos as a starter - 4 people receive their starters. As a joke, we all thought we werent going to get our Nachos, but no one questioned it further at the time. After more than an hour, the same 4 people were finally served (main course). This delay was explained to us by a large group who were there before us. So thats when me and my friend - who I remind you still havent received a single piece of food - ask questions. A few minutes after receiving their plates, the waitress comes back and asks if everything is okay. Thats when we told her that we never received our dishes and that the service until now was not ideal, because she had only come twice in 1 hour without asking if everything was okay. To give an idea, we had to ask her for water, because she never filled the pitcher and only came every 30 minutes. She looks at us like were aliens and our order never existed even though we clearly saw her write it down. She makes no apologies and leaves immediately as if all this was normal. So a nice man came to bring us our burgers QUICKLY and we canceled the nachos, because the message never came even after all that. Once again, no table service occurred until the bill was paid. So we get our bill and see that nachos were on the bill. So we return everything saying that it makes no sense and that we never received our order, even after 2 hours. The waitress sighs and tells us that we had ordered the nachos. We therefore made him understand that these nachos had never been served and that we would not pay for that under any circumstances. So she goes back to make a new invoice (this takes about TEN minutes) and comes back with everything in compliance. I have never had such terrible service and I would under no circumstances advise a relative or other person to come to this restaurant bar. Without any exaggeration, its horrible. During service: no smile, no thanks, utensils were missing and the waitress asked if she could just put the forks and knives in the middle of the table so that we could organize ourselves later , we did not receive any refill of water EXCEPT when WE requested it. Its pitiful. No polite words and the waitress was damn stupid.

Absolutely avoid! The service was terrible. When we arrived the waitress literally threw the menu at our table, there was no condiment and I had to ask twice for water while other tables already had a jug filled . In addition, the employee who served us was very stupid, we had the impression of disturbing her. For example, my friend, who has severe allergies, asked her if there was any risk of contamination in the dish she wanted to order and the waitress paid almost no attention to it. She only went to look in the kitchen and came rushing back to say that everything was OK. However, the restaurant was not full at all, on the contrary! Also, the dishes were not at all worth the price. I ordered a seafood pizza for $23 and it wasn t worth more than $10! The cheese was mediocre, the seafood almost nonexistent, and the crust was soggy. It was far from good. Then, the icing on the Sunday, none of the employees respected the health measures. Everyone wore the mask under their nose and even under their mouth. Public health will be informed.

The review I give here is for lunch only. I had a club lunch which was in fact almost terrible, the bread was soft and not really cooked, it didnt really smell good and whats more the palates were very ordinary. The service was also rather ordinary, especially in these times of covid most of the people in the service wore their masks under the nose and even under the chin.. so we will pass for protection. I would have given it 1 star, but my girlfriend who had an egg and toast was properly satisfied....:) so 2 stars.

It is possible to eat there even if you are not staying at the hotel. The menu is super diverse, its impossible not to find something to eat. The wine list is also enormous. Nice selection of beer and whiskey. The strip loin was excellent. Price within normal. However, I would like to offer a land and sea type plate, with all the seafood and fish on the menu it could be interesting.

Choice vary. Nachos in my top 5! A restaurant to try!

Before leaving a review, I wanted to try the restaurant twice. I went there twice on a Sunday and the service was very poor. I waited twice more than 30 minutes before someone came to see me, then waited a good 45 minutes to be served. I had to get up both times to ask for water. I decided to have a second beer to digest everything and I had to get up to get it because still no service.... the second time I went there the rice and fries were very cold. much better restaurants in Baie-Comeau quality/price. On the other hand, there is a nice menu.
