Jack's Barrie in Barrie

Beautiful location with wonderful service! Kylie helped us out (hope I got the name correct) and she was absolutely great. Interior is very warm and welcoming full of cute lights and decorations. The burgers were a little too saucy, I d recommend asking for no/light mayo. Chicken tacos were really delicious!

worst service i ever received (tuesday night) no hostess wanted to seat us we waited over 10 min the restaurant was not busy by any means, and our waitress never cleared anything off our table would bring a new drink for my husband as we had no where to put it because she kept leaving the old ones behind, finally we had to ask a random worker to take some of our stuff- and then our waitress only came to the table to give us the bill and make me pay as soon as my kids starting throwing a tantrum when i was alone and dad went to the bathroom for a quick second, i felt rushed out of the restaurant - also i ordered pasta and the noodles were not cooked properly at all.

I travel Ontario a ton for work, and pretty much go out of my way to hit Jack s in Barrie on my way home. There are plenty of places I HAVE to stop for a meal, but because Debbie is such an absolute gem, I carve out a stop at Jack s in Barrie whenever I get a chance. She always has a smile, and I envy her ability to remember a name, making Jack s a great stopping point between northern and southern Ontario, especially when I wrap up a work week.

Service was beyond fantastic, one of the best servers I ve ever had! Food was great. Christmas lights are EPIC Food : 5/5

Always soo fun, friendly and service is always amazing. This is our favourite place to go to celebrate life. Kid-friendliness: Very equipped to handle children, especially young ones. I have a 5yr old and a 3yr old. They actually will always ask if we would their food before ours just incase (and that always is the option we choose)

I frequent jack Astors quite often. This was my second visit this week. We went today at 3:30 being Sunday we were told we would have to wait in access to 15 minutes for a table because they were understaffed. The restaurant was half empty. I don t understand this. We turned around and left. Very, very poor planning on their part as they will be losing out on a lot of business. This is the second time this has happened to us. We spoke to the manager and we felt he simply didn t care. Not a way to run a business.

I had Bre as a waitress, she was very helpful when it came to giving suggestions. She recommended the Chicken parmesan, which was excellent. She check on us and made sure everything was good often.

This Resturant has continuously gone down hill. The meal portions are getting smaller with the prices increasing but worst of all was ordering the lobster crab dinner and getting no lobster or crab even in the dip!

Use to love eating here. The last few visits have been underwhelming. Food quality isnt the same. Service has been mediocre at best.

Rather pricey, e.g. pint of beer over $10 compared to $7 in most pubs. Didnt help that we were charged for one drink more than we drank, but sadly didnt realize until after leaving. Probably wont revisit, but if I do Ill be giving a one cent tip to compensate for my loss. Strongly recommend checking your bill thoroughly to avoid suffering a similar loss if your server is also unable to count.

I am leaving a review to say the servers here are great. I come in often and am always treated well. I am however very disappointed to hear about the poor management these servers are working under. They are forced to get reviews from tables every shift. If they are not able to do this, they are being threatened by management and they will lose their shifts and therefore their income. Scare tactics to get fake reviews? What a joke.

I ordered take out yesterday directly from the restaurant. When i arrived, the host told me i had to go wait at the take out door . I asked if i could just walk through the restaurant to the side door, but she said no, i had to go wait outside and ring the bell. Well after doing this; no one answered. So i walked all the way back in and she ended up just grabbing it for me herself in 2 seconds. Not sure why i was made to wait outside in bad weather when she could ve just served me the first time i came in. Secondly, it costed more to order from the restaurant myself than order delivery on UberEats. Only by a couple dollars, but it doesn t make sense that I paid more to pick it up myself and wait outside in the cold. Not impressed at all

4 out of 5 dentists agree, Deb is the reason to go to Jack s Barrie. You walk up to Deb s bar and instantly she makes you feel like you re old friends. I ve been here only a few times and it s a marvel, as she remembers my drink order, that I always look intently at the menu; asking for recommendations, but ultimately always getting wings, and that my parents love my brother more than me. With so much choice in Barrie to grab a bite and a drink, Deb makes Jacks the only choice .. .And that 5th dentist, she was never heard of again!!

My husband and I frequent the Jack Astors in south Barrie as we find the food, service and atmosphere great. We typically like to sit in the bar area and always ask for Courtney who is an amazing waitress who always goes the extra mile to ensure our experience is great. :)

I asked if we could have a table away from the door, the girl rolled her eyes and smirked and said, Well try... waited 10 more mins and they gave us a booth right beside the door... I dont know if shes always like that or if its because shes a snotty nose teenager(I was a waitress, a bartender, and I managed a few bars in my day; she shouldnt be working there...my oppinion). We ordered the food and drinks...apps, food, and drinks came well; however, the waitress didnt even check on how the food was until we were almost done... my daughter was thirsty and the waitress never came back, then when she did, I asked for water and she didnt come bk, so after what seemed to he 10mins I got up and went to the bar...the bartender I asked for water and she just gave me this dirty look.. lol... I brought back the water and still my daughters water never came...my daughter drank 5 sips of water and then the waitress came back with her water.... we asked for the bill.at that point because we didnt know how long it would take... The food, service and atmosphere at Jacks in Barrie are top notch. The overall service is great but our server, Debbie, is awesome. We are from out of town and don t get in as much as we would like yet she remembers us, what we drink and what we had to eat. We eat out a lot and know many servers and Debbie is the best. In fact, we now call Jacks Debbie s Place ! Parking: There is always a free spot near the restaurant.

My husband and I stopped into Jack Astors for dinner. I had the salmon with rice and mixed vegetables. My husband had the chicken parmesan. The food was delicious and well presented. Our waiter, Cohen was very good and checked throughout the meal that everything was as expected. When we finished eating we decided to order a pound of honey garlic wings to go. Which we did. We left the restaurant very satisfied with our food. Later at home when we opened the take out box of wings, we were very disappointed. There was only 8 tiny chicken wings. All in all we were very satisfied with the service; however, paying almost 20 dollars for these tiny wings was a bit steep. Thanks !

When we arrived at the restaurant it was a little bit of chaos. We were advised that wait would be 40-45 minutes as their system was down. GM Meagan, supervisor Ryann and our server Peyton provided us with smiles, great service despite all the confusion. Food was excellent! An enjoyable experience and we will return.

It came to almost $200 for me, my 13 yr old daughter and my 14 yr old son. Food was blah. And the garlic bread with cheese, was a round loaf of soft bread, soaked in butter (almost a half inch in the pan) and some sprinkles of parmesan cheese. Messy and not your classic bread stick type of Garlic Bread. Over priced and poor flavour.

Food is good. Service is great. Downside are hours. If you are planning to watch a late starting football game save yourself the disappointment of missing the end of the game when they close. Go straight to Kensingtons who are open late and have great food and service.

I come very often and the two I love to see on the Bar are always Matty above everyone else and Jordan!! They mix hard work and great service together and kill it on the bar. My only complaint is when they talk about football to me like I care.
