Amazing curry goat meal!

I had an amazing time here. The food was great and the prices are fair. The staff surprised my wife with a complimentary cake for her birthday and the staff sang for her. Such a great establishment where they really know how to put a smile on your face.

No flavour seasoning don t waste your money, oily and bland even the macaroni pie was weird. Be cautious of foodies saying this place is good.

Called in to order a jerk chicken poutine. When I went to pick up my poutine I ended up adding curry goat roti, rice and some veggie stew. Everything was sooooo good! Definitely some of the best food Ive had in a long time and definitely some of the best food in Barrie. Even had a slice of banana bread and it was delicious too! Ill be back again to try more from their menu!

Caribdish is a true gem for authentic Caribbean cuisine! Ive had the oxtail, jerk chicken, curry goat, and curry chicken, and every single dish has been absolutely delicious. My family cant get enough of the macaroni slice they devour it the moment I get home! The soup is wonderfully comforting, perfect for any day you need a warm, hearty meal. The staff here are incredibly kind and genuine, making every visit a pleasant experience. While the dining area isnt fancy, its exceptionally clean, which I truly appreciate. If youre looking for flavorful dishes and a welcoming atmosphere, Caribdish is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Went here for lunch, the staff and food were amazing. Friendliest staff; they gave samples for all the dishes and everything was so flavourful and delicious. We ended up getting the soup, jerk chicken, ox tail, shrimp and jerk chicken Alfredo, festivals and porridge. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone. Best Jamaican food in town.

Incredible menu and every items flavour was on point! Ordered their Jamaican patties which were incredible and there jerk chicken quesadillas! Oh and their jerk wings forget about it! We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu because everything was made fresh and worth every penny!!

If anyone gives this restaurant less than a 5 star don t believe them! The food is amazing. It can be hard to find a good Caribbean spot up to standard here and this place has over exceeded that expectation. In addition to that, their portion sizes are the best I ve seen. The owner truly values his customers and we re always met with friendly service and a smile. What really grabs my heart is that these guys are always giving back to the community. I wish nothing but continued success for this restaurant, staff and owner.

Amazing Caribbean restaurant in south Barrie. There are options available for everyone. I myself am vegetarian and enjoyed the Tumeric Coconut Veggie Stew Meal. I shall definitely be returning.

I walked in and was greeted with one of the best customer service experiences Ive had at a restaurant. It was my first time and was offered free samples of their various foods. The food was great especially their porridge. I definitely recommend that you try this place.

Amazing restaurant. Went there with my family, I was greeted like I ve know the staff for 20yrs. Food was amazing!! Felt like I was back in the Caribbean. My wife is a very picky eater, and the bbq chicken and rice she ordered was devoured lol. Definitely going back, had the ox tail (amazing) can t wait to try something else.

This morning like other morning before I go to work I once again pick up some amazing porridge today s porridge was roasted cashews and oat. Mmmmmm . I also picked up Iggy and selfish with some food and stew chicken with white rice. Everything always taste amazing

I had a jerk chicken with black bean rice. It was excellent! The chicken was flavorful and juicy and the rice was cooked to perfection. And the portions are generous Vegetarian options: They offer good vegetarian dishes.

This is my 2nd time. First order I could not eat the rice and peas as it tasted like it was cooked it dirty water. The jerk chicken at the time was over cooked and I tasted no jerk flavour. However I wanted to give a 2nd try and ordered from door dash. The rice and peas has improved but no flavour almost tasted like no coconut milk was added, or the regular stuff for flavour. The oxtail, you could tasted sugar added and for the price literally 4 pieces with gravy makes it looked like more. I love Caribbean food and I have tried all places in Barrie this, is at the bottom of my list.

I am very disappointed with this place. When I walked in, the server was sitting and eating. It took him a while to get up and take my order. I ordered a shrimp roti, but it had carrots and pumpkin in it, and the tails were left on the shrimp. It was awful. I dont recommend this place.

We stopped by to eat on a Sunday around 8pm, it was our first time trying Carib Dish. I was hesitant at first as I didnt think the food would be fresh at that time of the night. My husband convinced me to try it and I m so glad we did! The chef brought out freshly cooked items and everything we tried tasted amazing. The food was on point, the staff were all friendly and you can tell that the chef really had a passion for good food and feeding people. This is my new Caribbean food stop in Barrie, hands down everything we tried had good seasoning and spice. I m Caribbean so this is important!! Thank you Carib Dish

So excited to find amazing jerk chicken again in Barrie. Great serving sizes for very fair prices. Loved the menu options offering other carribean dishes not just JA not that i have any issues whatsoever with JA food. Such a fun vibe, easy parking. Tried oxtail dinner too was so tasty. Their rice n peas had excellent flavor, coleslaw was fresh and not over saturated with dressing. All in all a great experience they will do well and finally break the bad vibe at this location that led to other businesses coming and going over the years. I know bc i lived in this neighborhood (Holly!) for almost 20 years now lol. Keep up the great work guys !

2024: 5/5 - Jerk chicken (5/5) is the best in the GTA, without question! Nicely spiced, delicious flavour, and quite filling. Do note, if you find Franks Hot Sauce hot you best not get this as my wife found it too hot, but for me it was SO DELICIOUS! ~~~~~ Their curried goat (3/5) and rice and peas (NOT made with gungo peas) (3/5) are okay but still the jerk chicken MORE than made up for that. VERY friendly and courteous service, will return! Place is new so was very clean inside the restaurant.

This place completely blew me away. Firstly, the owner is extremely generous, passionate and personable. We walked in with no expectations and he gave us samples of every single dish and couldn t wait to see our faces light up (which they did)! We ended up spending $80 because we simply kept ordering more and more after taste testing. Never did I think I d be ordering soup in 28 degree weather the food felt authentic and the meat melted in our mouths. I regret not walking in here sooner. I wish this place success, they are so deserving of it!!

Ordered twice now through Ubereats and the food was fantastic! The only thing worth mentioning is that the packaging could use an upgrade. Whenever I order something saucy/juicy, the containers will leak into the delivery bag. The second time it was literal soup at the bottom...but otherwise its delicious and still def recommend their food.

This is definitely the best Jamaican/Caribbean restaurant in outside of Toronto, in Toronto and the GTA. Cooked food. Proper spices. Pleasant atmosphere. Authentic to the core. I pray they never sell or make this a franchise. Better than Chubbys, better than Allywns, better than Alberts, better than Mainsha, better than Miss Likklemores and for sure better than Sunrise. We tried this restaurant three times ,so far, and have ordered the jerk chicken and festivals and it has been consistently good. We brought the fried chicken as well and the feedback was that was goo as well. The prices are quite affordable and staff extremely pleasant.

My wife and I were told to try this Caribbean restaurant on the south side of Barrie. It was awesome food. The curried goat was tender and full of flavor and the ox tail was fantastic! The macaroni pie was sweeter than I ve had before but delicious. And the apple, kale, mint, ginger drink was just what we needed after a day in the hot sun. Check it out when you go through Barrie. Worth it.

Just had one of the best jerk chicken dinners I have had in years. Slow spicy build, excellent with the beans and rice. Would post a photo, but it has already been decimated.

This place has the potential to be something great. The first time I was there, the food was amazing, customer service a little scattered, and my order was not right. But I understood as the place was new and just young guys working. Now, the second time I went there, the food was ok, I dont recommend the plantain as it is refried and soaked in oil but yet not fried and crispy. Other customers were not satisfied as well, one actually demanded his money back. Personally I think with better management the place could be amazing. Just a little fine tuning.

I am very disappointed as my husband and I walk in the restaurant for the first time and before I could place my order, the guy behind the counter start to scratch his head...he served the person ahead and didnt even try to wash his hands before he did handling...the lack of hygiene is a big disappointment...sorry...

We were here for my mother s surprise birthday with 20ppl. The owner and the team were super accommodating and extremely helpful with planning for the special event menu. We also had 2 young children with us and were surprised with the options available to them which they loved. The Oxtail, Jerk Pork and the Goat Roti were the favourites of the group! The kids loved the festivals as a treat as well. They even did a complimentary hot wing eating challenge with us and the hot sauce on them was fantastic! Highly recommended for anyone that is ok with spice. Overall it was a great experience. Food for both dine in and take out is a must try. We are excited to try their catering options at our next family bbq as well! Happy to finally have an authentic Caribbean restaurant in Barrie. Well done!

Carib Dish is amazing. The one thing that stood out to me was the customer service. The staff are phenomenal and the owner is very professional, welcoming, and kind. The food was absolutely delicious. We tried the BBQ and fried chicken combos, festivals, along with the curry goat. Everything was seasoned perfectly, and the portions were more than generous. I saw the reviews on IG however, some places you still need to research for yourself.. I ordered on Uber late on a Friday evening a bunch of items and later was contacted by a staff member informing me they were out two items that I ordered ..They requested to exchange the items for something else which was ok however one of the items I really wanted to try. I expressed my concerns and the gentleman I spoke with asked if I was ok for them to cancel my uber driver and he would request another one for me on his end (I was actually willing to drive to pick up the order)..I said ok and left it with the restaurants to do their thing.. I am SO PLEASED that they made a fresh batch for me.. The food was so tasty that I had to call the store and thanked them personally for going above and beyond. Food 9/10 Customer Service 10000/10 They now have a new regular customer!!!! Ps Food pics was after we sample/tried the food..Other items did not make the picture review as it was eaten before the camera came out

I live around the corner and didnt notice the change of restaurant until today. Ordered the jerk chicken with rice, and the jerk chicken waffles. Food was great, no complaints. I was also given a sample of the curry goat, which was quite good. Ill definitely come back to try more. Thanks guys.

The food is so fresh and great quality the cooking is out of this world, it s made from the heart for sure because it s homemade and delicious. I ve recently moved to Barrie from the city and have been jonesing for a yummy Caribbean spot near me. I felt like taking a different route home today and I caught this restaurant at the corner of my eye. OMG I m so happy I found this place. I was welcomed by a really nice man up front. He had a very warm and welcoming energy. I ordered their jerk chicken and I kid you not, it s absolutely up there for some of the best I ve had! I ve been to SO many spots and this one absolutely did NOT disappoint. The meat was tender. So tender it was fall-off the bone. The portion? Huge. He even let me sample the ox tail (which I mentioned I was originally going to get) and it was amaaaazing. The flavour is there and the meat was just SO tender. I had the jerk chicken with some of tail gravy. Chef s kiss. There wasn t a dry bit of the meal and I already want to go back for seconds. Don t walk, run to this place. 10/10 in my books. I m so excited to go back!

HANDS DOWN THE BEST CARIBBEAN FOOD IVE HAD SINCE JAMAICA You cannot find authentic Jamaican food anywhere in Barrie. I have looked high and low. We had the spicy jerk chicken, mac and cheese pie, and plantain Absolutely incredible. Service is excellent and food is fresh! If you havent tried, I highly recommend it will not disappoint. I will be be bringing my whole family to try next time they say they have a craving for jerk.

I was anxious to try the food and was not disappointed! There were huge orders infront of me close to 9pm and I had to wait for fresh jerk chicken to be cooked. While I waited I was pleasantly surprised by a complimentary plate of very tasty shrimp and rice with veggies! Very tasty and very thoughtful of the staff as it was a long wait. The Jerk chicken was really really good and worth waiting for! Ill be back for sure !

After trying the food provided in a work meeting. Me and my wife made trip to go find the location, after running a few errands. Before you know it, we was inside and checking out the menu. The staff are super friendly and the food is amazing (Im a very picky eater for the record). I decided to make an order big enough to take to my parents house. Everyone was highly satisfied and will definitely become frequent customers. Right now I can barely move, because I over indulged and dont regret it. My family and I had a scrumptious experience. The food was delicious . The combination of the different Caribbean herbs and spices was perfectly marinated and infused in the meats. We had the Oxtail, fried chicken, and Curried goat. How could I forget the side orders and dessert . The chefs soup special Coconut vegetable run dung soup was amazing. It brought back memories of the original Jamaican run dung dish. The pudding and fruit were extremely flavourful and melted inside my mouth. Thank you, Carib dish, for a wonderful dining experience. Just tried Carib Dish for the first time. We had the Jerk Chicken with Ox tail stew --- absoloutely fantastic. The chicken was so moist and flavourful, and the Ox Tail stew was a wonderful compliment. Will we be back? You better believe it!

We ordered the oxtail poutine and the curry goat with rice and peas. The food was seasoned very well and tasty. Only complaint was the oxtail should have been boneless on the poutine. Would definitely go back.

Second visit.Went to try their oxtail. I clearly asked for steam veggies and the guy still gave me coleslaw. I asked for hot sauce on the side. The guy went to kitchen I waited for a few minutes just to be told they didn t have it. I find this very strange because there s 2 full bottles at the front on display and they clearly sell this brand Turn up or something. Anyways I am completely turned off. You just lost a customer. I m going back to Irie Jerk and Happy Mango, their customer service is waaaay better. I get this food at least once a week. Food ain t bad but you need to treat everyone equally. Customer service goes a very long way.

We saw this on social media and were super excited to try Barrie s newest Caribbean restaurant. It s hard to find good Jamaican food up here. Sad to say we were disappointed. The food was extremely bland, no flavor at all. Coleslaw was dry. My husband took a few bites and had to go order food elsewhere because he couldn t finish it. If you are wanting to try I would suggest going earlier in the day. Maybe they flavor their food better then.

Have come for takeout a few times but the quantity of the food is NOT consistent. Which is a shame. On the beginning they give nice portions. Ordered BBQ chicken dinners and got 2 small pieces of chicken when they normally give 3 to 4 good size pieces. Alot of restaurants start out good then cut back on the food. Which is not good for business.

Best Caribbean food in Barrie. Complements to the chef. If you are in the area thats the place to get some great food.

Im so happy to have my favourite food right around the corner. My wife and I ordered a Chicken Roti and Jerk Chicken Roti. They were both absolutely delicious! If youre around for breakfast certainly give the porridge a try! Everything looked so amazing - Im looking forward to visiting again to try some new things. All of the Fellas are really friendly and welcoming.

Update: decided to give another chance and Im glad I did. BEST JERK CHICKEN EVER!!! Waited 45 minutes after I ordered for my food to be ready. Once I got home I realized they gave the wrong food. Went to the restaurant to get what they didnt give me (oxtail). They gave me the roti they orginally sent me home with. Returned home to finally eat my food. Realized they gave me 3 beef patties, I had ordered 4. Over all the food is alright but definitely not the best in Barrie. The vibe in the restaurant is very Caribbean, kudos to them for that. Hopefully once they are open for a while the service will get better. Theres definitely a smell in the restaurant but I dont think its any fault of their own as it smelled the same when the last restaurant was there. I feel bad for the Jamaican guy who was at the cash, he was doing so well but his partner dishing the food could be alot for efficient.

The food is good. I came from far away just to go try the food. The waffle and jerk taste amazing. Could use a bit more chicken though Mac pie was very delicious as well.

I came in and the owner was talking up a customer and telling him he really appreciates him and blah blah blah.. I was picking up a delivery order for his business and not even once did he say thank you to me and tell me that he appreciates me when I m delivering orders for HIS customers. Saw a similar review about a customer complaining about customer service and treating people equally. Clearly that s still not going on here. Just because I m a delivery driver doesn t mean I m not a customer too! In fact, I m picking up orders on BEHALF of your customers!

Normally their food is on point and amazing which is why I m not going lower than 4, I d never complain about this spot. But the breakfast I received this morning was no up to par for the first time. The money I paid for Ackee and Salish and this is what I get? I should be paying for the price of a side of provision and not Ackee and salt fish. Portion is laughable and the taste wasn t there. Like I said, normally this place hits the spot so whoever the chef was this morning needs to do better.

Prepare to wait briefly as most of the food is made fresh to order. I can t wait to visit again and bring my family there. The restaurant was clean and hospitable. Just had their Jerk Chicken & Waffle and it was the best food Ive had in awhile. It was amazing with all of the flavours that were put into this dish. The staff were so kind and friendly. Will definitely be coming back for more.

Enjoyed a great meal at Carib Dish with their Oxtail and BBQ Chicken, both served with rice and peas. While the oxtail could use a bit more flavor, the overall experience was rewarding. To have another carribean restaurant in the city. Definitely coming back for more family meals!

New place I recently passed by and had to stop and try the Caribbean food. I ordered the jerk chicken w/ rice & peas. The jerk chicken was very flavourful and very tasty and very tender. Also, the seasoning was amazing and had a variety of flavors and not just relying on the jerk season by itself. The spice level (scotch bonnet part of the seasoning was just right as it has a very nice kick to it without being too hot and just having the pepper flavour as the main taste for the jerk chicken. Ive tried a few places in the past to explore how the meals are prepped and seasoned and cooked and then the taste test begins! Ill definitely be back to try out more dishes for sure. Also the service was excellent and very down to earth feel for me!

Seeing that the place is just a week old, I hope this constructive feedback will help them get better. Called to order a curry chicken roti and a curry goat with rice and peas meal. Drove home 20 minutes to find out they gave me a curry goat roti instead of the rice and peas meal. The roti shell was very dry and tasted stale. It would have been manageable if they included adequate amounts of gravy, but they did not. In fact, the curries were not sufficient. Half the roti shells had to be thrown away because it just wasnt appetizing. Curry goat - dry and the meat was very chewy. Not the tender feel you associate with West Indian curry. It also lacked flavour. Should cook it longer and add seasoning. Curry chicken - lacked flavour and gravy. First experience was disappointing. I hope they pay more attention to detail and offer more filling and better tasting dishes. I will go back at some point to try the other dishes as I am sure this can be attributed to growing pains. But I really do hope they improve.

Oxtail is good but got share bone for 14.50 .. the serving should be alot more than 2 spoons. Taste good though. Kinda disappointed:(. Friendly people.

Feb/2024. Ordered on Uber eats and they were out of jerk pork which happens, no problem. Owner called me directly and made sure I was able to come pick it up next day. Very impressed and he made sure I was set up next day. The jerk pork was UNREAL. Maybe the best jerk pork meal I ve ever had. Owner was very nice. I will be back again 100%.. new favourite jerk spot in Barrie. Oh and the jerk chicken was amazing as well.

Staff are genuinely happy to see you! We tried the Jerk Chicken on waffle, Curry Chicken Roti, Oxtail. Plantain was perfectly ripened and prepared, Chicken curry was fragrant, roti shell was perfect, oxtail was flavourful. We expected the jerk chicken to be hotter. It was flavourful nonetheless. Coleslaw was spot on! May this place keep bringing everyone those amazing Trini flavours! So far, the best in Barrie, and Ive been looking!

Ordered takeout from here as wanted to try this new restaurant. The owner Devon was super friendly. Ordered the curry chicken roti (hot) , jerk chicken (hot) and curry chicken (hot). Online it does, mild, medium, hot so I Ordered hot. I was disappointed that it came very mild. When you think of carribean food you think if exotic flavours and a certain spice level. I think the food is cooked mild so you need to ask for hot sauce on the side. The curry chicken roti was good. The curry chicken on its own was good as well. The chicken was a slight but pink on the inside. I think it needed a few more minutes. I would have preferred more gravy as well. . The jerk chicken was very good. Full of flavour and this did have a nice kick to it. The prices were good I might add. Overall good food but not that wow factor I was looking for. However I will try them again. They only recently opened so hopefully over time and other feedback they will get better.

March 15th 2024. First time trying your food. Restaurant is bright and clean very helpful staff asking me all the right questions in order to serve me. Jerk chicken dinner was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back for some of the other offerings. Thank you for the great food.

Carib Dish is a new Caribbean restaurant in the Southwest end of Barrie. They are super friendly and the food is soooo delicious! I Went there opening day food was amazing, very authentic Caribbean cuisine, I tried a variety of different foods, jerk chicken rice and peas and coleslaw. Cooked to perfection, super juicy and spiced just right. Rice and peas had a vibrant coconut flavour. Jerk pork was super tender with the macaroni pie. My fork easily went through both. Oxtail was banging. They have so many options for everyone on their menu and prices will have me coming back again and again!!! I can t wait to try the breakfast menu. I recently moved from Toronto to Barrie and it s nice to see more Caribbean food spots opening up in Barrie! Carib Dish is walking distance from my home, so I decided to check them out on opening day. I got one jerk chicken and one fry chicken combos, both were good and well seasoned!l

Really friendly staff and amazing food. The amount of food you get for the price is great as well. One thing I would say is it include knifes in the take out bag, as it was hard to eat the Jerk chicken with just a fork, otherwise it was a great experience!

Tried their curry goat today and was pleasantly surprised. The food was really good, probably the best Ive had so far in the Barrie area. Restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly and unlike the competition down the road you actually get to see what you are being served.

Just ate at Carib Dish, Devon and his family served us up an incredible meal. We lost power at our house and decided to give the Carib Dish a try. What a great find! The customer service was fun and friendly, it s a wonderful family atmosphere. We ordered a jerk pork, rice and beans and steamed veggies meal and a jerk chicken, rice and beans with Mac& cheese and Cole slaw both for take out. I m stuffed staring at the leftovers the meals were generous and the prices were more than fair. Thanks for bringing some Caribbean sunshine into our wintery snowy day

We ordered some take out online for a family meal and the portions were good, great flavor, very tasty. Good value, friendly service. We enjoyed it very much and plan to get it again. Next time I hope to get me some Black Cake!

Delicious! It s hard finding good Carribean cuisine in Barrie. I ordered their Mac and cheese and Fried chicken with rice and peas and I must say I m impressed. It reminds me of the authentic Jamaican food sold in Toronto.
