Unbelievable food, I just finished the Jerk chicken Roti which was the perfect amount of spice, the roti is a decent size and was packed full of Jerk chicken that was melt in your mouth . The owner was extremely friendly. I ll be back for more. Easily the best Roti I have had since moving to Canada 10 years ago. Beef patties are delicious too.

The service is great and the food is even better. Just became my new favourite spot. Jerk chicken roti was delicious. The chicken was so tender and flavourful. I will be back soon

Went to get a roti this evening , ended up with the curry chicken one and let me tell you, it did not disappoint!! Very friendly service & THE BEST roti I have has in years (chicken so moist and flavorful) :) will be back !

The owner is friendly, energetic and eager to please. He always has great music playing. The seating outside has a view of the bay, which is nice. His parathas are soft and fresh, the curried goat and oxtail are top-notch, very flavourful. The jerk chicken and jerk chicken sandwich are outstanding. Just wish his veg. curry had more seasoning and more intense flavour. Maybe some chickpeas and some nice, briney callaloo would do the trick. All in all, glad to have this place in town.

Jerk chicken and oxtail were tasteless. I had to fill the plate with ketchup to at least get through the meal. There is no way someone from the Caribbean cooked this.

Hands down the best jerk in the city. This was my first time and Ill definitely be going back soon, the chicken was so tender it just fell off the bone. Proper amount of everything, from portion to seasoning to heat, it was amazing and more than reasonable for the price.

A hidden gem that Im thrilled to have found. Its mainly for take out and delivery. Enter from the rear only, which has a tiny balcony and table, overlooking parking and the Bay. First visit - Meal 1- oxtail, rice and peas dinner w coleslaw. Cooked to, and seasoned to perfection, juicy meat falling off the bone, moist enough to still suck the flavorful juice from the bone. Just like homemade! Add a touch of hot sauce if a bit of an extra kick is needed Meal 2- Curry Goat Roti- I like and chose bone in. Still moist and perfectly flavored with just the right amount of kick. Good size portions I cannot wait to reorder from here again. Edit: Ive now tried the Jerk Chicken, and am now addicted to it. If you like spice with a kick, this is for you. Delicious

I have tried every Caribbean restaurant in Barrie and was left disappointed. This little hidden gem was the only one left to try. It is now my go to place. They unfortunately do not advertise and are somewhat hidden so it s only advertised by word of mouth. So glad I was told of it. Best in Barrie.

Great little spot on the downtown waterfront. Staff was friendly and service was very prompt. Nice little deck outside for seating with a view of the water across the street. I had a jerk chicken roti which was delicious and filling with just the right amount of spice. Will be returning!

Passed through on a quiet day. A bit pricey but I loved the food. I had the large jerk chicken with rice and peas, and coleslaw. Had a great chat with the owner (I think). First time visitor and it was a little tricky to find given the construction in the area. Accessibility and parking is a challenge. Paid parking is just outside, but its overkill if you are just picking up. Not sure if its allowed but there are one or two spots available just outside in the laneway

Food was delicious! Ordered Jerk chicken and doubles. Very flavourful. Nice music and vibes by the water. The owner was very nice and was dancing while getting my food ready. Felt like I went back to Happy Jamaica for 20 minutes. Love it I rated 4/5 only because I didn t see any bathrooms for customers inside and Construction was going on outside. Hard to find because it was in the back entrance and google GPS make you go in circles but I m glad I found this place. Word of mouth made me go on a hunt to find good food in Barrie. Other than that, it ll be a perfect spot.

We randomly searched for Jamaican food on my trip from Sudbury to London with my teenage son. We werent disappointed. Best Jamaican curry roti Ive had. My son got the same plus a beef patty that he said was amazing also. The only reason we didnt stop there again on the return trip was because it was too late in the day when we passed through. Cant wait to stop again next time we are in town! Looking forward to trying the oxtail (which was not available that particular day). Keep up the amazing work! Note that indoor seating is limited this is a predominantly takeout restaurant.

The food was tasteless and arrived COLD I asked for coleslaw with my meal which is a standard side with Caribbean food. Apparently they don t make coleslaw lmaoo, I ve ordered from other restaurants and requested items they don t have any have always received a call politely informing me. Instead my request was rudely ignored and the owner wrote me a NASTY message to me telling me DO NOT ORDER AGAIN GLADLY!!!!! After having to deal with your ROTTEN stank attitude I ll be taking my business to your competition. Learn how to speak to your customers. You should be ashamed!

Great Caribbean food at a fair price. Super flavourful gravy. We had jerk chicken roti and doubles, both were really tasty. We limited ourselves to boneless items as we didnt know if we were going to be eating on the road, but Im looking forward to trying the bone-in items as well. Owner is a very nice friendly guy and we look forward following his upcoming food truck idea. Just one table inside but the patio looks great for the summer with a nice view of the Barrie waterfront. Navigation note: its just around the back of the building, waterfront side. Parking area is under construction - thats going to be a tasty place to park to visit the waterfront!

Just finished our first meal from TCE. Just sublime authentic Caribbean food. We three shared Jerk Chicken, Curry Chicken and the Stewed Chicken, sampling them all. Terrific quality food, and was ready to take out almost immediately. Very fair pricing too, not easy to do in these times. They earned return customers for life!

Our go to for delicious flavours! Every meal tastes like a hug from Mama with all the love and flavours coming through. You can tell they know what they are doing with a narrowed down menu with the most delicious flavours. Friendly service too with a smile.

My girlfriend and I have quickly become huge fans of this place. Living in Toronto the past 5 years I ve had some good Caribbean food but this place sits with the best of them. We ve tried the curry chicken, stewed chicken, and jerk chicken. I d recommend all 3. Stewed chicken is a good option for people that want something that isn t spicy. The owner is super friendly and chill.

satisfying jerk chicken. basically perfect, but not above and beyond, I would recommend to them: roast lime with the chicken and squeezing that on the rice. their slaw is inauthentic (mayo) and disappointing. also why are dumplings (fried dough knots) not on the menu?!?!

Hands down the best authentic Caribbean food I have had in Ontario! My partner and I have gone twice and the chef is very pleasant and gives very large portions. Very tasty food, and becoming my favourite restaurant in simcoe county.

All I can say is wow! This is my first time here and i will be coming back for sure. Had the jerk chicken roti and Kola Champagne. The jerk was so flavourful, had great spice without adding anything. Portion size was just right. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants Carribean food.

This is the best Caribbean food in Barrie, maybe the GTA as well. Try the stewed chicken, curry, oxtail and of course the jerk chicken. No matter what you order, be sure to add a roti and an Island Soda. If you happen to be there when it isnt busy, youre going to get some friendly conversation along with your food. On weekends, order or go early because some of the best dishes run out!

Finally! Tasty Jamaican food in Barrie! They don t spare on the meat and the flavours are amazing. The rice and pea is juicy with a hint of coconut, the coleslaw has just the right amount of sauce. Customer service is great too. Definitely a loyal customer now.

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place for lunch and it was sooooo good, you will not be disappointed eating here! The chef takes pride and passion in the food he makes, and my god it was one the best Caribbean food I ve had. He even gave us some new pasta salad for free to us to try as a nice gesture. This restaurant will definitely become one of our regulars!

Tried takeout for the first time today. Got the oxtail stew, coleslaw and beef patty. Everything was very good. I especially liked that the beef patty pastry was thinner than most and this made the patty very moist and delicious.

I ve eaten here before and decided to have it again as I was soooo impressed with the jerk chicken. I needed delivery for my family tonight as I came down with COVID but was craving home a cooked meal. I m of Jamaican descent so the food is comfort food for me. The curry chicken and oxtail with rice and peas came SOOOO quickly and was absolutely delicious. The location is ideal. I was told only to speak the truth and say good things. So Ill say this, the vegetable roti was good. Id have this and only this on a nice day and go for a walk by the board walk. Im very spoiled by authentic food as I grew up in Toronto!! After eating here I found a authentic Hakka Chinese food in Bayfield Mall. So I Havnt completely given up on Barrie. This Hakka was clean and absolutely delicious!!! It wasnt only hot it was flavourful! The Kino sushi and shawarma across the street are fantastic as well. If it wasnt for these spots Id write Barrie off. Definitely try the hakka in the Mall you heart and tummy will thank you! XO Good food is life!!
