The bartender shaved sides of her head couldnt care less about our table. Couldnt order the full table order and couldnt get a allergie to her because she kept leaving! My guest that I brought there literally felt bad and didnt want to say anything !! Ive been here a few times and this has been the worst Ive seen it. Every other time has been excellent! That woman needs custom service training and if you watch she doesnt pay attention to the tables. Please fix this I would like to bring people here again!

This place was a great 5 star. Definitely has slipped as far as food and service. Prices are competitive but on the higher end. Complacency.

The baked brie was so good I ordered that and the steak and mushrooms pie but I was too full after the baked brie! Our server was super engaging with our 3 year old and we all had a great time. It started raining during our appetizers and we were taken inside without issue. The staff worked together to make sure we brought all our belongings, food and drinks inside

Was a nice bar before they spread misogynistic comments about how they like the person I am with, but not me. Very strange as I have given them a lot of business in the past and considered them to be professional, but not anymore. Staff are ignorant and rude. Do not recommend.

I recently catered a family reunion with the help of Donaleighs. Laura-Lea coordinated everything and Cory provided an amazing spread of food. They performed set-up and clean-up, allowing me to enjoy the event. My entire family was impressed by the food and service. I would absolutely hire them again for family events.

Great space, very big, 2 separate areas + a patio and usually live music. Tonight I sat on the patio with my dog, doing some work on my laptop (their patio is dog friendly, bonus points) . Ordered a few drinks + the poutine, which was on happy hour pricing. The portion was great, the drinks were good, and my server, Brittney went out of her way to be extra personable and friendly. Not just for me, but for my dog too. She provided 11/10 customer service and made the experience go from good to great. The happy hour prices and options are really good here too. I would recommend Donaleighs to anyone

Food was ok, not great I can make a better roast beef sandwich at home, bun was stale, fries were good, service was sad all waitresses looked miserable. When asked for the bill the bill came out in 20 seconds, beer took 5 mins. Ill never come back for food but beer I may be back. Really disappointing to see someone work for a tip but doesnt show any enthusiasm what so ever and pride in theyre job. I shouldev just gone home and got propane for my Barbeque!!!!!

Nothing to say. Go for it !! everything is great!!

Unfortunately it was one of the worst meals we have ever had. Double stacked crispy chicken sandwich - I asked for the chipotle mayo on the side unfortunately the sandwich was covered in mayo - and probably to mask the over cooked chicken. Fries were soggy - either old or refried then served. Smoked beef sandwich - asked for no horseradish again sandwich had horseradish - but was able to remove the little that was there and finally the side Greek salad was so soggy from too much dressing. The best part we never complained but did explain to the server at the end the issues we had - especially with the chicken sandwich. She went to the manager and he discounted my meal that was barely eaten by 50%. Most restaurants would have just taken the meal off the bill. As for the other issues - the comment we received was sorry, we gave a discount on the one meal but nothing else . I can say that we won t be visiting this place again.

Had a get together today 20 friends.. Amazing service as always. The Irish Nachos are fantastic. Will be doing this again. Thanks to the staff for accommodating us all and setting aside an area just for us. 6 out of 5 stars for this place.

Donaleighs is one of the premier places to eat on Dunlop st in Barrie! They have weekly live bands play on a stage at the back of the bar that are in the rotation! The ages you will find that frequent the bar depend on the bands that play from 19-65!! I do spend my money here!!

My friend and I love to go here just to eat and drink while catching up. Everyone is always so friendly and the food is fantastic. They usually have a variety of drinks on tap and everything is always delivered quickly. We love the artichoke dip and the fish is amazing. I definitely recommend it for anyone looking to pre-game or even relax with a few drinks!!!

The meal was fantastic and the atmosphere was nice, no loud music playing in the background. Service could have been better. I like a place where the server is ready to fill cups of coffee. My biggest pet peeve is having coffee with my meal and having to ask the server to fill it, especially when the place is not busy at all. There might have been three of us in the restaurant.

We were a table of 6 that went on a Friday night . Everyone enjoyed the food. The steak and brie never disappoints. The server was excellent and attentive despite the restaurant being busy. Well be back! Dietary restrictions: A separate gluten free menu is available.

We had our friends surprise 50th birthday party last night. Our waitress was Amber, she was the best waitress ever! She was so attentive, we never had to wait long for our drinks, she knew everyone s order and she was so nice. Great job Amber!

The food was good enough ! Honestly guys, the server removed the plates before we finished. Server didn t ask consent. I just had an Irish coffee and my friend just had a glass of beer. We were enjoying the food and suddenly she took out the plates and went. We didn t say anything to stop her in doing that cause all this happened in a second. Dear staffs, pls do follow the etiquette or ask consent before removing plates. This was terrible !!! The person who welcomed us put us in a corner of the pub

Just to start. Our server was amazing! Can t remember her name but she had short hair dark brown and lots of Tats. Oh ya I think she s the bartender. I was happy to have her way way more then the 2 other girls who seamed-to not want to be there last night Sadly my Mac and Cheese was cold and not the best. The past few times I have ordered M&C it has been take away, so I thought that s why it had been sort of dry. Other then cold and slightly under cooked it was super dry. After if was re-heated/cooked it was dry and just the same as past few orders I have had take away. My daughter has also noticed the same in recent months as she frequently goes here with friends She actually said she feels that the owner/chef is not the person as it s been for years making our dishes I m so sad about it as I dream of the yummy hot creamy full of flavour dish. I think this was cooked El Dente and frozen and reheated. My daughter said hers was super hot but just not the Mac and cheese it use to be. But it s still the best at its worst. That s why it s so disappointing Also st the end of January on-a cold rainy evening I don t think the ceiling fans had to be blasting. There were maybe 5 tables being served. It was not crowded nor was the heat on. One more thing, we were 3 adults 2 in there 20 s doing shots of tequila and having adult conversations and a family with a toddler was sat right beside us on the benches. Just thinking that was not where the hostess should have put them. No thought to her surroundings My server was amazing. Love her. Also I was thrilled to listen to The Greatful Dead while out and about

This is our Tuesday night go-to for choir. Consistently great but I m always drawn to meatloaf sandwich and don t try other menu items. Just to update the above, I was quite disappointed to see the new menu about a months ago without the meatloaf sandwich but alas tonight they set my mind and taste buds at ease by informing me that I could still order it. This was without my prompting. The fact that the serving staff remembered me and advised me of this as I entered tonight to sing in the back was amazing, appreciated and totally unexpected. You all rock!!!

Early New Years Eve, with the grandkids, so we could catch the Barrie Fireworks (early show: 8pm). We had Irish Poutine, Irish Nachos, French Onion Soup, Wings. Nothing but raves from our group. Our server (Amber) was attentive and made our meal memorable. This is a fun place to eat and easily accommodates small or large groups, families. The food was excellent and atmosphere welcoming. We look forward to returning.

Good, hardy meal. Had bangers and mash and mushed peas on a winter night - hit the spot. Our party also had lamb stew and braised rib with great reviews. It was quiet but it was a January Monday so not a surprise. A few locals whom had recommended it said it s very lively on the weekends and there is tons of space there so I m sure it fills up with live music. Really fun, authentic place. Definitely will return next time I m in town. Parking: We found street parking and there are lots all very close throughout downtown.

Let s go to a place where fun loving people go and because an aunt and he niece go to the bathroom get accused of doing drugs. Really if you know these people they are far from doing anything illegal. But then mix it with under trained and utterly unprofessional staff who take beyond your standard action because they think they are tough. You have traumatized a young girl and when her parents ask for explanation you go beyond over the top this place needs to be shut down. Not the first time I have witnessed this inappropriate behaviour

The menu had endless options that it was quite hard to choose. All the food was amazing and the service was fast and friendly.

Food is great and service is great, but pets shouldn t be allowed. Even on the patio. It s not discrimination, it s just not sanitary. You can t smoke on a patio, pets shouldn t be allowed either. Service dogs are obviously the exception. Food

Waited 40 minutes for a server to take drink orders. Then waited 40 minutes for her to check in on us again. After asking for our bills waited 30 minutes.

Nice Irish pub, with great menu options. Service is good, atmosphere is lovely with great décor. For soups cant go wrong with french onion or cream cheddar broccoli. Also the meatloaf sandwich is amazing.

We recently moved to Barrie and Donaleighs quickly became one of our go to spots , the atmosphere is unbeatable - the staff are always really quick and kind to us. We absolutely LOVE the beer mixes they have and the stouts they have on draft. We ve brought a number of friends to visit with us to show them how awesome this place is. And it is incredibly huge-! We enjoyed the patio in the summer time and can t wait til our next visit

Great service, the food was on point. The Guinness onion soup, spinach peach arugula salad, and fish tacos were delicious.

Charming spot with good service and great food. Went here for a drag show (hell yeah, allies!) with a friend and had a blast. I had my heart set on the short ribs, so was a little sad when I was told they were all out, but got the burger instead. Its been a long time since Ive had a real *good* burger. Ill be back for sure, hopefully for those shortribs and more drag! Wheelchair accessibility: Bathrooms are unfortunately not accessible, they are downstairs

Tonight I went to pick up takeout around 9:15pm. While waiting in my van out front, someone under the influence knocked on my van window & said some things to scare me. I didn t want to walk into the restaurant to grab food but knew the order would be ready so I couldn t leave. I called the restaurant & as soon as I explained what had happened, a man (I m assuming a bouncer or security) came out while on the phone with me and watched me walk to him. He then waited until I paid & had my food, then walked me back out, down the road to my van and waited until I was in. Not only was I so impressed with him, but the food was also awesome once I got home! Thank you again!

We had a great experience here last night. The gentleman invited us in. We sat down and a cute bubbly blonde girl came over. Very friendly. She noticed we were struggling a bit with what to order for a drink and she made it clear that if we dont see it on the menu it doesnt necessarily mean they cant make it for us. My Wife LOVES mojitos. She said let me see if we have any mint to be able to make this for you. She bolted from the table. Came running back about 2 minutes later with a bag in hand saying I got the mint. I stole it from the kitchen. We will make your drink for you! She wasnt kidding. They made the drink and I had a pineapple concoction that normally comes with gin. I asked them to sub it out with tequila. They had no issue doing that. And I actually think it tasted better. We ordered a couple pounds of wings and some sweet potato fries and everything tasted great. I highly recommend the garlic parmesan as they dont make it the saucy way. Its made with actual parmesan and garlic powder. Our waitress took care of us the whole evening and kept coming back to make sure that everything was good and she made a point to ask about the drinks. We assure that we were very happy and that the food was great. When we were finished she gave us a couple of minutes to enjoy the end of our meal and then came over and helped us get out of there quickly. We assured her we would definitely be back in that. We were very happy with her service. The same gentleman wished us a great night as we walked out the door as he was in the other section of the pub.

This place is really large but yet some how in the day time they still make it feel warm and cozy. The food has massive portions. The cauliflower bites are amazing!! The fish was a little over deep fried.

Had a night out at Donaleighs Irish Public House last Saturday, and it was quite a mix. The Den of Hilarities show was a blast - loved the cozy vibe of the venue. The food? Really good. Youve got to try the Shepherds Pie and Fish and Chips - big portions and just delicious. But, the service couldve been better. A few slip-ups here and there, and it was tough getting in those extra rounds we wanted. The place itself had a great feel, especially later in the night. It was still hopping with energy around 11. Overall, Donaleighs has a lot going for it with its food and atmosphere, but they could step up their service game a bit.

Awesome restaurant, love the vibes here. Ive been going there at least once a month now for the past one year , the prices are good considering their HUGE portions. Theres a lot to choose from. The music is always good, the servers are always fun and cheerful. Overall, its one of my most favourite restaurants in Barrie.

Everyone at our table enjoyed their food and took home their leftovers. The wait staff were friendly and served us our food within 5-10 minutes. Yes, it was very hot, and I have the blister on my finger to prove that. I cant vouche for the alcoholic drinks, but everyone seemed happy. Food

Any place that has a live band is a plus.
