Everyday Korean barbecue is cooked on tables grills at this easygoing restaurant.
I strongly believe in supporting small family own business however this one I suggest you AVOID and report to heal and safety so they can inspect the cleanliness of the kitchen. The grill takes very long to cook the food and will blacken before the food is fully cooked.
What an amazing little hole in the wall! Peaceful atmosphere, great service, clean grill and table area. Food was outstanding! We had beef, chicken, baby corn, mushrooms and onions that we cooked on the grill. The meat came pre marinated and it was delicious. The sushi was amazingly fresh and delicious. Spring rolls were top notch as well. Not one bad thing to say about this place. We will for sure be returning!
We are not fans of korean barbecue, but because we love trying new restaurants, we ended up entering here. The place is nice and quiet very helpful staff . I love sushi. That's what I ordered. Freshly made per order . I bit expensive but this is a eat all you can restaurant.
Hidden gem that I’ve walked past so many times! The sushi is so good and the service is great. Definitely will be back!
An amazing experience the first time trying Korean BBQ. Kids loved the experience as they got the chance to cook meats and veggies on the grill right at our own table. Probably not an adventure for the impatient. There is a combination of meals that can be found at any typical Japanese restaurants as well (sashimi, hand rolls, maki, etc...)
Second time eating at a Korean BBQ restaurant. Tian Ya offers an all you can eat restaurant experience. Our group ordered various marinated meats as well vegetables to cook on the grill. The group was very pleased with the meat selections and the portions that were provided for each order. As a vegetarian in addition to the grilled vegetables there were many sushi and side dish options. The server was really helpful and efficient. Definitely recommend.
There is a pretty good variety of choices on the menu at Tian Ya BBQ. The usual korean bbq, sushi, dimsum etc. Though outdated in design, we quite enjoyed our time and the dinner. The waitress was extremely attentive but not pushy and overall we were pretty happy with the service. The bathrooms on the other hand, left much to be desired. A problem we had though was trying to have the grill changed, 3/4 the way through. After grilling marinated meat, the sauce/sugar tends to burn on the grill.. After abit of back and forth, it was clear she wouldnt change the grill. She kept saying it was fine. It wasn't a huge, huge issue.. but the char ended up sticking onto our vegetables and left over sausages, despite our efforts to scrape it off.
Went here for lunch on a weekday, the food was fresh and delicious! Sushi was well made and meat was great. For $22 you can’t beat that. I gave 4 stars because the ordering system is a little confusing if it’s not explained and the servers just assume you know what to do.
Food was fabulous: fresh, tasty and lots of great options. Staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful. This was our first time here and we will be back. Thank you!
I think it s a bit pricey, comparing to the quality We had a dinner last night and this morning all of my family had a stomachache Food
Service was good but combo a Kung pow chicken was way over cooked (dry and hard) no vegetables??
Very friendly family run restaurant. Food was great.
Food was ok - as long as youre ok with waiting over an hour for it to cook on the tiny, barely luke warm grill they provide. We were a family of 6 that they insisted on seating at one table meant for 4 people at most. First, they refused to give us more than 1 menu/order sheet for our table of 6 - it took us 25 mins just to make one order this way. The grill was 14x 16 for 6 people to cook food on and was barely warm enough to cook anything. When we asked to split our party into 2 tables (they had several empty tables available in the restaurant, including one directly beside us) so that we would not only be more comfortable with more room, but be able to cook our food a little faster, they said NO. I can only assume they really really didnt want to have to clean TWO tables when we left - for a bill of over $250! We barely had room for a drink let alone food for 6 people on our table! It was ridiculous. They do not provide any level of proper customer service - theyre cheap and scammy. Will not return and DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Wow. DO NOT GO HERE! I should ve read the reviews before I went. This place is not an authentic Korean restaurant. The food was all just garbage. The beef was so close to rotting, and you could tell all the seafood was frozen and not fresh. As for the side dishes, the kimchi had an awful taste, and even the tofu had an unpleasant rag smell from refrigerator. The grill was also so weak, that it took so long for the meats to cook. I really don t know how they are able to run the restaurant like this. I don t think they understand the basics of anything. I spent $180 total for 4 people. We couldn t even finish anything of what we ordered because it was all too gross to finish. The waitress also just sat there watching something on her phone. We failed to get her attention so my husband had to get up to her to ask for napkins, and she only gave him 2 sheets. Please trust me that this place is not worth your money or time!!!
Dont bring your kids. This place is way too good to have ruined by spoiled brats. Spend a couple hours order drinks and tip big. These people put a lot of hard work into their service
Authentic bim bim bap. Dont have to travel to TO for my korean fix.
Amazing Experience. Beef was amazing ! Chicken was amazing ! Sushi was fresh! Food : 5/5 |
Okay so I don t usually do this to mom and pop shops but this had to be done. This restaurant only cares about making a profit, not your health. My wife and I ate here last night and we have been very sick since. I had to visit the doctors office today to be told that I am having dangerous side effects to heavy doses of msg. My system has issues dealing with msg but when it s in heavy doses, like what this restaurant puts into all of their food, it can be very dangerous. They want you to eat less so that they can make a profit, so their food (mainly the batters, sauces and meat marinate) are heavily saturated with msg. The food quality was also very questionable to say the least. I would stead away from this restaurant if you value your health.
Clean, friendly, great service & high quality food. Will absolutely be back! A hidden gem in Barrie. Very welcoming for the whole family. Kimchi was amazing. We had the all you can eat BBQ & sushi/sashimi. They do use electric grills, so it does take a bit longer then gas. But Everything was amazing. The steamed shrimp dumplings were some of the best ever. Mango & vanilla ice cream too
My husband and I had our first experience and I have never left a restaurant so unsatisfied and disappointed in my life mainly for the PRICE!!! it s supposed to be an all you can eat buffet I could ve gone to the Mandarin for the same price and enjoyed my meal much more so where I could actually SEE the food I m eating and pick it out myself opposed to off a piece of paper just in writing not my ideal service for buffet / all you can eat style It certainly isn t what it is made out to be everything we ordered came to the table RAW vegetables and all the meat was dry and gross tasted like jerky i understand there s a grill too cook your own that s okay if the grill was half way decent will never go back
I would say it s worth the money. $35/person all you can eat. You can cook the meat while eating sushi and other stuffs.
Arrived and found it a little small. Beautiful hand painted murals but that was the extent, the rest of the place could use a make over with upgraded ventilation as it was very warm verging on hot in there. The food was ok a few tasty selections that stood out but found most to be missing the flavours and textures that would leave you wanting more. The pricing might be on par with other BBQ places but to me it didnt match up with the food. So i found it a somewhat overpriced.
The food was really well seasoned and there where alot to choose from even sushi witch I really liked. The heat was adjustable with was good for the short rips. Just the only thing is the location witch is not the location well we where thare, there was someone doing illagel stuff across the street and someone buying some too then when we left someone who was for sure on something ran up too us yelling gibberish. Other than that I will be going again personally I would never go during dinner hours or when its late. Also ignore the food poisoning posted since YOU cook it and its hard to not smell foul food.
My only complaint is the grill took forever to cook.. everything else was wonderful
Great food. Attentive waiters. Nice spot near waterfront so you can take a walk after stuffing your face! Vegetarian options: Tofu is delicious!!! Try the avocado pizza too!
My fiance and I eat here often. Id consider it one of our small date night eateries. The food portions and quality have been amazing. Weve brought friends and family here as well, with zero regret. The staff has always been attentive and helpful during our meals. We frequent AYCE BBQ places often and this is on the top of our list.
I have ordered delivery several times and it was always amazing but today I had the all you can eat and was very underwhelmed. Came around 2pm (assuming it was lunch) and ended up having to pay for the dinner price. There is no signage anywhere about the timings just lunch and dinner, not on the menu, front of the building, online, they dont have a website just a FB page , also without those details, so we couldnt really say anything. Its like they can pick and choose when to charge the dinner price but it doesnt make sense if they open at 11:30am how can dinner start at 2pm? I think the standard at most places is 3pm. Very dissapointed that the dinner menu had barely any difference to the lunch one and that they only offered 2 types of ice cream for dessert for a $10 difference in price. The food was good but I wish they had some sort of marination on their shrimp, squid and vegetables, theyre pretty bland without seasoning or sauce. Beef chicken, and ribs were good. I think its worth mentioning that the edamame comes cold not freshly steamed. The server was nice. Parking: Parking right in front of the restaurant is free, the rest of the lot is paid.
Strongly not recommend this store. The meat is not fresh at all. Sashimi are also not fresh. The store is way too hot and seems no air conditioning. The grill heating food take way too long. Not recommended at all
Might be the worst all you can eat bbq I ve been to. The grill doesn t get hot enough at their tables so the meat steams instead of grills, making it super chewy and tough. The sushi has a very weird watery taste. We complained about the grill not being hot enough and the waitress had no idea what we were talking about even though she could just see our meat pretty much slow steaming on the grill. We got her to let us move tables and it was the exact same thing at another table. Would not recommend eating here.
Amazing experience. We drove 2 hours to try this little spot and we were not let down. It was a very clean and unique experience and I would make the 4 hour round trip over and over again for this place.
One of the best places to try amazing pork bone soup and ramen. Would give it 10 stars if it was an option. Everything else you may try is amusing as well
Such a cool spot! Excellent food and such food prices. A super cute spot!!
It is not worth it for $35 per person. The rib takes forever to cook as the heat is low (also 1 1/2 hour time limit.) The pan is getting dark as the burnt grease accumulates but the host is reluctant to change the pan so we ended up cancelling the remaining orders. The service is slow. We asked for a bill. But we only got a bill and no machine to pay. After waiting for a while, we walked to the front to ask for machine. Asked for water since the very beginning, came a while into the meal upon second request.
Absolutely delicious and super fun to cook at your table
The service was good, but food is terrible. Weve gone to Korean BBQs in Toronto which we loved, but this place wasnt it... Meat was salty, fish and veggies tasted frozen & I got SO sick after eating here. I just spent all weekend throwing up and would not recommend eating here. Please eat elsewhere! I wish I listened to the bad reviews.
Food was great. Excellent spot for a fun date! Dont order alcohol drink just get water. Drinks are not good.
Love the pork and beef on the grill! So tender and tasty! Maki and sweet and sour pork are excellent as well. Highly recommend this place. Food : 5/5
Cramped for space food amazing service was terrible felt terrible for asking for things when we needed it things we ask for werent served or when we asked for two orders of something for two different people they put them on the same plate and gave it to the one person.
It s $32/pp now. If you re expecting a Korean Grill style, this isn t it. Meat has a very weird rubbery consistency, most likely due to overuse of MSG. The grill is placed over infrared heat that reaches medium level at best. So it doesn t even grill/sear the meat at all it just cooks it rather slowly. It was not at all worth it sadly.
Food is really good! Lots of options whether youre vegetarian, pescetarian, eat meat etc. Grills are nice too compared to what Im used to in other cities. We did feel rushed at times to cook, as if they wanted us out quicker or something. Were just two people, and only one of us eats meat, we arent gonna cook it all at once and let it overcook and become inedible. They also kept forgetting to bring us some items and seemed annoyed when we inquired about it or asked for another sheet.
If you go in sit down and eat the food is amazing one of my favorite places and the customer service is amazing 5 stars but the delivery or take out is absolutely horrible. Everytime i get delivery or take out there is always atleast one item that is horrible sometime all of it is discussing and if you call them about ur horrible meal they only make excuses and say a bunch of non sense and have horrible customer service and do nothing to fix the problem. Always walk in for dinner. Never get delivery or takeout.
Really bad tasting food thats not fresh. I would not recommend this to anyone. The service is ok, but the food is really gross. Dont waste your money coming here. I went with my aunt since she was craving Korean food, we were really disappointed. Vegetarian options: Not a lot of vegetarian options. The vegetables dont taste fresh and felt frozen. Parking: Theres only a few spots that are free. The paid parking lot has spots, but the machine is broken and the traffic police constantly checks it so I would not recommend parking there unless you download a parking app.
Love it here. Super nice staff. Fun time for a snall group and the meats are perfect. Lots of options foe more picky eaters too
Good food, variety choices and the staff are very friendly
Great little restaurant, our first time here last weekend and we were really excited for some local-ish Korean BBQ as the others are all twice as far in the gta. We mainly got meats and vegetables for the grill, but I had some sushi and dumplings as well and everything was great! Cozy interior with a nice relaxed atmosphere. We had a great time, definitely going to come back!
Not really a Korean BBQ. They don t have anything Korean . The meat does not come with any Korean BBQ sauce and they only provide you with cumin. I would rather call it a Chinese Guangdong BBQ
Food is not fresh. Sashimi is terrible don t know how long it has been in storage. I vomited after I ate at this restaurant. Beside this is not a Korean restaurant. They don t have any Korean BBQ. They just gave you some meat and vegetables that can be bought in groceries. We paid over $100 for two people for those terrible food.
Deserves to be busier. Check it out.
The food is delicious!
This place has it all! Korean, Japanese, Chinese food for All-you-can-eat and a la carte is good value and tasty. Friendly service! Keep this place in business! I go every time when I come from Toronto to Barrie.
Been here 3 different times ...it is absolutely delicious ....love the beef its super thin so it cooks fast ...get the rice , kimchi , onion and lettuce leaf and you will be happy
The meat is not fresh. Sashimi tastes like it just came out of the freezer. Hand roll is at the satisfactory level. A place for play with the uneven heat, not a place to eat the food. If u happen to dine here and assume the Asian food were all tastes like this, u are really pathetic
Rude and ineffective! The place is small and quaint. No issues there. The grill was not heating up. The meats were just boiling in their juices as opposed to actually grilling. It took forever to cook the food. When I brought it to the attention of one of the servers he said that s all you get. I noticed that almost everyone else was having the same problem. When I asked for a second beer the server brought it over without a clean glass. When I asked her to bring me a clean glass she picked up the old one, examined it, looked down the bottom of it and said we don t have any more glasses. She then walked away. Finally, the food was overpriced. There are far far better Korean bbq restaurants that provide much better service at the same if not lower prices. There were 4 of us there. We will never go back.
This was an amazing eating experience im surprised I didn t hear about this place sooner! Absolutely recommend eating here!
Unique experience, chinese tea was amazing.
The meat they serve is amazing. I highly recommend the beef and beef short ribs
Highly Recommend! Excellent service and delicious food!
Love cooking my own meat and enjoying good food
It wasnt the best food.
Overall a nice experience and good sushi. Sometimes they dont bring everything you order and you have to ask for it again once you realize its not coming. Happened 3 x during one dinner but this seems to happen at a lot off places like this. Bathrooms in the basement are freezing cold. Free parking is very limited. Pay parking plentiful. Vegetarian options: Limited
Nice place with good meat and sides. Cheers
First ever BBQ. Like this never cooked my own table good. Was amazing. Loved it. And was amazing too
Amazing place with excellent food.
Friendly, fast, grill works well, meat well mariated, good everything, my son has a nut allergy and the owner was kind enough to check ingredients and no nuts in the ice cream and meats. Will definitely come back. Great place. Highly recommended!
Although it can be a little pricy the food is to die for.
Very delicious and sociable atmosphere. Staff is friendly and helpful!. Everything we tried was great!!!. The marinades for the chicken and steak mmmm....the dumplings!.... the sushi..... 5 star plus rating!. Our teens and ourselves will be back!. Kid-friendliness: Other then dont touch the hot grill....its like any other restaurant. Be curtious and respectful of others if you bring kids...
It is first time I tried Korean BBQ and it is delicious
Awesome awesome awesome.
The grill wasnt hot enough, it took longer to cook than other bbq grill that weve visited. The food is good. We will go back again, maybe just our grill is faulty
The food was okay. To be fair what I had was the bombination combo, not the bbq. The bbq may be better cause its their signature food. The service was good. Friendly waiter.
Best all you can eat in barrie. Hidden gem! The combination of all you can eat BBQ & sushi is a game changer. Very friendly fast service and every item was delicious- especially the sushi.
Verry nice staff, and the food was great... Only problem is the staff might be too attentive/keen to come to your table. You might like that or not, I guess it is a personal preference.
I thought it was 100% Korean but it was not... The owner is Chinese. I was looking forward to eating authentic Korean food... x
Wonderful experience, food was super delicious, staff was absolutely delightful, pricing was decent, definitely recommend this gem of a spot!
First time having Korean BBQ, and it was fantastic. Its really neat being able to cook the food on the small grill at your table. The food was really good I will be returning Parking: Theres a few spaces for parking at the restaurant, and a big parking lot beside it (basically attached) thats a paid one
Delicious meats grilled to perfection at your table and a nice range of other menu options. A pleasant, quiet atmosphere and attentive staff. Great spot for lunch or dinner with a twist.
Amazing food! Great atmosphere
Delicious and fresh food. Love their sliced pork bulgogi - their kimchi is perfect
We went at an awkward timing, so its partly our fault, but the dinner menu starts at 230 so the all you can eat is $10 more. The grill was really slow. It took 90 mins to cook all the meat. And they refused to change the surface when it got a burnt later on the top. The food was really basic, no dipping sauce, it felt like it couldnt decide whether it was Korean or Japanese food.
This was an amazing meal and definitely worth it for the price. The sushi was delicious and the whole atmosphere was incredibly comforting (feels like I m in an adventure game!!). A high recommendation to anyone who loves Asian cuisine!!
Great food. Me and my wife enjoyed it. They only have 2 staff but they were efficient enough to handle all the customers. The place seems a little dark but cant complain about it. Drinks are unlimited.
Best all you can eat in barrie. Hidden gem! The combination of all you can eat BBQ & sushi is a game changer.
Honestly didnt know what to expect, especially looking from the outside. However, the food was delicious (the sushi especially), the service was quick, and it was pretty cute inside. Just felt like a nice comforting dive restaurant. Id 100% go back!
5 stars for cleanliness 5 stars for service 5 stars for food My new favorite Korean restaurant Food : 5/5 |
Always delicious, great service, amazing experience!
Me and my husband enjoyed the food all you can eat was an amazing experience service was very nice definitely will go back again sometime
My daughter and I had a dinner date at this Korean barbeque spot. I specifically was looking for some Korean barbeque restaurants around the Barrie area. This place seems to have the right amount of good reviews and to be quite honest. I am not disappointed. It is a pretty standard Korean barbeque spot. Marinated meats, fish, appetizers, sushi s, and some desserts. For the price I got my value.
Meat quality was decent for an all-you-can-eat KBBQ place. The sushi was surprisingly good, dimsum was okay. I wouldnt recommend the tea.
Me and my Bf are regular customers who come here quite often. But tonight was the very first bad experience for us and it was extremely rude. The lady working Sunday August 20th around 5pm to 615pm service was extremely rude and full of attitude. Come check time my Bf gives me his credit card to pay, I pay. The receipts comes out and the server had the audacity too look at me and say tips not included, so your not leaving a tip. I asked her to repeat herself as I was shocked and didnt think I heard what I heard. But I did. Mind you we were going to leave a cash tip( even with the garbage food and horrible service), but with the rude response and basically telling me to tip her I choose not to tip her. Your service was garbage and your attitude was unnecessary. No excuse. Will not be returning.
Amazing food, dont be put off by location. This is the kbbq experience where you cook your own food like youve seen on tiktok.
They said their payment machine is not working, force us to pay cash plus sales tax, it late in the night, kids are so tired, we had to go out to find ATM to get them cash!!!! Basically no light in the restaurant, food was just really basic.
First time trying kbbq, beef and beef ribs were awesome. Sushi was surprisingly good.
The best ever you can eat your favourite
Great experience! It was a bit unclear how the whole grill and ordering worked as it was our first time - but not rocket science :) The food was fresh, delicious and prepared for us to grill. In addition to all the meat and veggie options, the BBQ dinner had sushi, sashimi, appetizers etc. Bathrooms could use a bit of love, but overall I will definitely be back.
Prepare for a meaty showdown at Tian Ya BBQ the grill might be small, but your appetite isnt, and thats what counts. Nestled in the heart of Barrie, Tian Ya BBQ is a hidden gem that offers a Korean BBQ experience like no other in the area (literally there are no others at the time of this review). If youre from the GTA think of Korean Grill House or Chako. Its like finding a secret BBQ society tucked away in the heart of the Barrie. First things first, its all-you-can-eat, and they wont be nudging you out the door before you can waddle away. So if your idea of a perfect evening involves stuffing yourself silly with delicious grilled meats, youve hit the jackpot. But heres the kicker they serve sushi. And while it may not be Michelin-starred sushi, its like that surprise guest at a party who you instantly connect with. You came for the Korean BBQ, but youre leaving with a newfound appreciation for their sushi game. Now, lets talk about the real stars of the show the staff. The main server lady is as sweet as a marinated ribeye and attentive enough to make you feel like the VIP of your own Korean BBQ party. The grill itself does its job, and it does it well. The only catch is that its a bit on the small side, so if youre rolling deep with a squad larger than four, you might be doing some intricate meat Tetris. Speaking of meat, its well seasoned, making every bite a flavourful explosion. Sadly, we cant vouch for their desserts because, well, we were too busy living our best carnivore lives. Despite the indulgence of the all-you-can-eat experience, what was a pleasant surprise was the pricing. The bill was as low as the spirits were high, making this Korean BBQ gem an even greater value for those seeking a mouthwatering adventure that wont break the bank. Location-wise, its a winner. Right downtown, near the waterfront a perfect setting for a post-BBQ stroll. But beware, the area does have its quirks, so dont go wandering around the streets at night unless you fancy a rendezvous with some rather unsavory addicts. In summary, Tian Ya BBQ is Barrie s all-you-can-eat goodness without the typical GTA Korean BBQ chaos, a place where youll leave with a full belly and a newfound love for sushi. Just dont forget to watch your step outside, because the real adventure begins once you step beyond the grills embrace.
Amazing service, and many food options available on both the Lunch & Dinner menus! Highly recommended
We had an amazing experience with family and friends at this restaurant! Strongly recommend! Dinner all you can eat menu: $35.99/adult lunch is around $10 cheaper but has less options compared to dinner. We opted for the dinner menu, although we were there for lunch.
Good.
I travel all the time for KBBQ but Tian Ya will always be special to me as it is close to home and the owner makes us feel like home. The marinated meat is good but most surprisingly there sushi option is the best in Barrie. The freshness for the sashimi always has us ordering seconds even it we cant do anything else. I know what I just said are big words but Tian Ya over any buffet in Barrie any day.
Best place for KBBQ and Sushi n the side. Thanks for the great meal!
Great little spot for Korean BBQ & sushi. Lots of menu options with friendly staff. And good portion size per servings
On the whole a fairly good experience. Rather expensive, even for all you can eat in 1.5 hrs($128.00 for 3...befor tips. 1 beer and two pops)...especially since you do the cooking at the table. Somehow I thought they cooked in front of ypu. I did find the chicken and beef well seasoned. To be truthful I have had better sushi in barrie. Still, friendly service
An enjoyable experience. Was suprised to find this place. Good food options to chose from, and price was reasonable. Parking: A few free spots out front, but if busy, you havr to use the paid lot next door.
Amazing place. The food is great, and the price is about right per person. This is probably the most authentic Korean food Ive had in barrie. The atmosphere is great, the portions are just right, the all you can eat options are diverse, and the service was amazing. If youre looking for a good food place, Id recommend it! Parking: There is parking in front of the restaurant, but also a public parking lot right beside the building. The city plot is paid, but the spots in front of the restaurant are free.
All good but the bathroom is creepy. Vegetarian options: Delicious! Must try kimchi and their enoki Food : 5/5 |
I honestly love it here. Amazing food. Service is wonderful and the tone of the restaurant is so relaxing. Highly recommend, my go to place !
We had dinner here. It was good. Not your typical yaki niku.
First time here and it was super delicious. And the service was impeccable.
I ordered from ubereats today. Food was great but the steamed rice was supposed to come with kimchi, according to the description, and it didnt. I was disappointed but youre still great. I cant wait to come in again.
Average food, passable.
Delicious! We had a fun time here; excellent food and service.
Wow, great, authentic Korean food Well worth a visit and worth the money Highly recommended
Came here a couple weeks back and it was lovely! Its a smaller place but it adds to the vibe. The grill is a little small, would be best for 2 people, 3 people max. Service was nice, very fast and attentive. They have a great selection from their grilling meats and vegetables, dim sum and some sushi and sashimi. The only issue is that when grilling the marinated meats, the grill plate will get burnt. We asked for them for a swap on the grill plate and they said they dont do that.
Not much attention with waiter. No pictures to see the menu. No description of some names of the food. Expensive when I dont get to see what I am going to get. I will not go back.
Small but amazing place for a Korean bbq meal! I loved the sides and the meat taste great. Definitely recommended
Have always loved Tian Ya BBQ place, its our go to date spot when we are in barrie, Friendly people, fast service, delicious food
We went out for dinner with friends and family, great like place, super busy, great atmosphere, pleasant staff, fantastic food.
Great food and clean environment.
This was out first time at this place! The food was delicious and we practically has the place to ourselves. Quite and intimate and very cool getting to cook your own food. My daughters 9 and 12 years old, loved it and thought it was super cool.
Great meat BBQ dishes, well worth the money!
Burner take Long time to cook. Have to wait 20 min for sushi
I adore the atmosphere here and the food is to die for! Its so delicious
Very good diferent options with the grill on your own table.
So delicious and worth it. Staff were also super friendly and helpful
Great Staff Great Food Fun Experience, what more is there to say!
Their food is always so good! Definitely my favourite place in Barrie for sushi, and the staff is so friendly.
A great local spot for some authentic Korean BBQ! I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the meat & the sashimi/sushi options: stand outs were definitely the spare rib, chicken & salmon sashimi. The kimchi was the best I ve EVER had & I truly enjoyed the mango ice cream to top it off. However, the beef & pork cut was very thin & I found the cost of a soda ($2.50) was pricey for less than 250 ml. I would certainly recommend & I ll likely return!
While the infrared grills arent as fast as traditional charcoal grills, the food is delicious, and the hosts extremely accommodating. Highly recommend for a leisurely meal.
Delicious food, cozy and clean restaurant, friendly and prompt service. Great for big groups!
Food was excellent. Was still new to the whole Korean BBQ thing but server was quick to help out. Service was fast and food was delicious.
Not good meats and appy s . Moreover the service was average ! Went for Saturday Dinner $100 for 2 people was not worth it at all !
Not a busy place but the service and food were excellent.
Tian ya bbq makes the best sushi and maki rolls ive ever eaten in my life and it is very affordable also! The yam rolls are very good and fresh!
Came here for the first time and I was very satisfied! Food was very good, the server was very nice, and the price was very exceptional. Definitely coming back here again
Great experience!! Let s start with the sushi.. so good and definitely better thank other places. The Korean BBQ was the so good and great experience with friends.
Nice place
Lovely staff and wonderful food cant wait to go back and to bring more people!
Great service, food was also delicious especially the meat dumplings. 10/10 would recommend
Excellent food and service for my lunch experience. Great small business to support and will be back very soon!
Great place to eat, but prices on the menus are outdated. 70$ for 2 adults
Was a good dinner, fairly expensive $200 with tip/tax for 4. I probably wouldnt bring the family back because of this, but maybe for a date night.
friendly staff, good prices:)
Excellent food, Excellent service. 10/10
Very disappointed. They turned off the grill in the middle of our meal and offered to grill the meat at the back for us. It says on their menu that you have 1.5 hours to eat and get out. Beef tasted like jerky. Will not go again.
Craving Korean BBQ and was pleasantly surprised. 9 of us arrived at 2:30pm. This restaurant not only had Korean BBQ but also sushi and some dim sum. All items were flavorful and fresh. The wait staff were very sweet. Definitely a nice go-to for an interactive family style all you can eat dining at a reasonable price.
Never had steak that melted in my mouth like that and the pork was incredible! Love the variety of options to pick from the menu and prices are great!
Its the only Korean BBQ in Barrie. Fresh food, great service.
Cozy environment with high quality food and great service!
Below average experience. I visited the place based on the positive reviews but I wasnt impressed. The taste was far from being authentic Korean ( compared to the K restaurants I visited in the GTA). The service is fair but somewhat rushed - there were only two ppl serving the entire plc which was packed. Order was incomplete n we had to reorder n wait even longer. I found the plc to be very pricey relative to other K restaurants, I paid $100+ for my wife n I + two young kids (no drinks). Vegetarian options: Yes, various options Kid-friendliness: Not really
Go purely for meat. yummy marinade where you can eat a lot without feeling sick 4/5 Sushi was really bad 1/5. Tasted old and definitely not fresh
Very fresh and tasty food and the staff here is very helpful, quick and friendly. A spot I love to come visit at least once a month.
Looking for a good place for Korean bbq. Happened upon this place during a Sunday outing. I didn t find any current reviews on Yelp, but other sites offered many great reviews of this place. Took the opportunity to check it out and 2 adults ate for $56 without tax or tip. Ordered all the meat choices, favourites were the pork and beef the chicken. Didn t really enjoy the pork sausage. Also ordered the dragon roll sushi which was quite good. They are very skimpy on the ginger. 4 pieces of sushi with one small sliver of ginger. Ordered the sesame and general Tao chicken which the kitchen prepares - really don t recommend. It came very dry and tough to chew on. The breading was hard and no real difference in flavour between the two. Ordered the pork and shrimp dumplings. The pork was better. Overall the restaurant was clean and the food came to our table quite quickly. If you have trouble with stairs, be warned the washrooms are in the basement, 14 steps down. We were charged an extra $5 for taking home leftovers from the all-you-can-eat buffet. Either eat everything or order a bit less.
As a Korean, this is NOT Korean bbq! The beef was worst ever!
I am very very surprised how this kind of restaurant can even survive. Plz plz do not call this food as Korean because it DEFINITELY isnt! There is some kind of old rag smell in the rice( yes, they don t even get rice right). Their electronic grill works like candle. Imagine cooking meat on the candle. The quality of meat is garbage. The sauce is just sugar water. Let s talk about deep fried stuff. Normally, you can t go wrong with fried stuff. This place got prize to make fried stuff as disgusting - thick battered on extremely dry chicken is lemon chicken( it was maybe few drops of lemon juice as its sauce). Plz change name of kimchi to ketchup kimchi. And the cost is higher than any other eatable places in Toronto. They didn t get any single item right. So the owner was gonna charge extra for left over food. We ( including 3kids who eat like horses) could not even eat. That is how bad it was. I wish there was any item that I could say it was eatable quality buy not one item was even close to 1 star.
Delicious & fun first time visit! Dinner w. no beverages cost $80 with tip which was well worth it. Beef, beef short ribs and lamb were all great! Also surprised that they offer sushi! Love the fact that you can pace yourself throughout your meal so you don t feel too overwhelmed when leaving! Atmosphere is dated but server was attentive and all food was fresh.
Friendly staff. However take note, dont expect to have an authentic korean barbeque experience. Its a Korean STYLE Barbeque Restaurant.
Great options of all you can eat in Barrie! Fast service when we came. They have sushi included to the all you can eat! Win Win!
Tasted amazing, it was mine and my husbands first time there.
Never realized such a great spot was sitting in such an unassuming storefront. Stop by when you get a chance, it will CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
Nice quiet BBQ place. The Sushi is surprisingly good, they didn t forget anything, only issue was our grill didn t seem to get hot enough and took a while to cook the food. Only two servers but they were fast and efficient.
So so good. One of my favourite places to eat in Barrie. The owner is so sweet and always remembers my partner and I when we are there. The food is always delicious, and the service is always great.
Food: delicious. Service: 6 out of 5. Atmosphere: could be a lil more fresh / lively. Food : 5/5
Food is great. Really cool how we cook our own food. They also serve sashimi which I love. Atmosphere is a bit of a dive but if you can get past that the food is great. Food : 5/5
We came back from Blue Mountain, also called before coming to make sure they were okay because we got there at 9:15 pm, great service, the waitress was really nice and helpful, we tried to eat fast since they would close at 10pm but she asked us to just slow down and enjoy it, really appreciated that, food also came out quickly and tasted good. Price was fair, definitely will be back when were in Barrie again. Update: 11/6/2022, service was still good but everything was slow when they re busy because they only have 1 waitress. The grill is not hot enough so it took a long time to cook, hope they do maintenance soon!
Love visiting this place whenever I am in Barrie. The food is so good.
I found it good but a little pricey unless your very hungry.
Honestly, a super great experience. Premium food premium service, quiet, chill vibe. 100% recommended Parking: Has a small amount of parking out front Kid-friendliness: There were some kids there, it was just a chill quiet vibe so it is a good place for the whole family. Wheelchair accessibility: Its not specifically meant for wheelchair accessibility, but you can definitely make it work .
A quiet little corner. Delicious food , great service and wonderful atmosphere. Cant wait to go back.
I went for the dinner menu (31,99/person mon-thurs) and the food was decent for Barrie! The grill doesn t heat up evenly, so I would just be careful with how you cook your meats, especially if you order the chicken. The lunch menu ends at 2:30, and you will have to pay for any uneaten portions of food (about $1 per piece). Overall I would give it a 3.5/5.
Great value for the variety of food and the service is great! On top of the Korean BBQ, they also offer dim sum and sushi included in the AYCE price! So glad to have this place in Barrie!
Awesome food, nice little place. Friendly, fresh and clean ayce Korean BBQ. Kimchi is bang on.
Our favourite place! Kimchi is very good.
A small kbbq place but its perfect for satisfying the need for meat. Fast service ,polite staff and friendly environment. Try the meat with the brown powder provided at the table that dosnt smell like anything, it adds a nice sweetness to the bbq meat. They dont rush you here which is really nice, slightly expensive for a smaller menu compared to other larger kbbq places. But its perfectly fine as its the only kbbq place in the barrie area, other than driving to vaughan. Ive gone here several times and its been satisfying everytime, never been disappointed.
We went at lunch hour. Food was good. We particularly enjoyed the maki rolls and appetizers. Service was fast and very friendly. Overall we enjoyed our meal!
Had a pleasant experience here today. Food and service were terrific and Ill definitely be back again.
i went to visit with a friend because she said it was good. and it is. if i were to hold my funeral party, i would like it to be here so my guests would enjoy. 10/10 would go back!!
Its decent Korean bbq. It uses electric grills rather than gas, so you dont get that grill taste. Sushi varies, it could be good or it could be hard rice. There is alot of variety when it comes to vegetables and sides.
It was our first time here. Their meat was old and the sashimi wasn t fresh at all. The only food that we can eat was beef ribs, but they refused to serve us more beef ribs because they want us to finish everything on the table first. We were really disappointed. They are the same price with Sakana House and Diamonds Sushi, but the quality is really bad compared to those places. NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE
Always love the meat and what seasons they put on it.
