Exceptional mexican restrurant. Went with a large group (7 people) and everyone was pleased. Seems like a busy night and now we know why, this place is spectacular, not just the atmosphere and decoration, every detail even the music give you a very comfortable moment, the portions they were huge and delicious, such as beef, chiken, fish, pork. Talking about cocktails and mocktails are fantastic, (Sangria, Paloma, Bulldog, Miamivice , we had all those and really enjoyed it. Home made salsas , guac and queso made fresh , in fact everything they served was large. This is absolutely THE BEST mexican food I have EVER had...from Toronto to Ottawa to Texas, to Ny ...hands down.... Our server Ozz is truly exceptional! He brings an infectious energy to the table, making everyone feel like theyre part of the family. His vibrant personality is the perfect blend of warmth and fun, making him the ultimate game-changer in the dining experience. Ozzs passion and dedication to his craft are evident in every interaction, and hes the reason why this place stands out from the rest. Hes a true asset to the team, and we cant praise him enough! Chinese people passing by can rush! Delicious! I ve given you the menu. It s not expensive and worth a try. The waiters are all Mexicans and they re very authentic. The Mexican girls are also very enthusiastic.

I received 4 soggy tacos, with bland chicken and raw onion on top for 17$. For sides I got bland mexican rice and bland tortilla soup. Ther wasnt even salsa or sauce, the server brought some but it couldnt save the meal. Unfortunately its the worst mexican food I have ever eaten... the tacos just fell out of there wet soggy shell. At least the beer is authentic. Service was OK.

23/07/24: We came back here for our second time and loved it even more! The restaurant is very lively and the staff are outstanding, I would go back again just for their energy. We ordered jalapeno poppers, lobster tacos, and house chicken quesadilla. Jalapeno poppers were amazing! The lobster tacos were cooked with ranchero sauce, which I felt was a little too heavy on the salt. 15/05/24: Amazing fish tacos! We also ordered shrimp tacos, empanadas, and smothered burritos. Amazing portions and would go back for the empanadas and tacos!

Its probably the best Mexican dish I have had. Birria Tacos with Birria soup for dipping tacos in on the side. A must try to everyone. You can come back here and give my review a thumbs up after you try it because you will want to thank me. The service was great. There are tons of cocktail drinks on the menu, and if its your birthday and you let the staff know you will be in for one of the best birthday sin alongs ever!!! Made In Mexico is a must try!!!! We tried Made in Mexico today for the first time and it was AMAZING. The service was super friendly and helpful, the food was absolutely delicious. We had the Birria Tacos and the Enchiladas - both were really tasty but the Birria Tacos were to die for. Thank you to Ozz our server for being so nice and accommodating!

We went to Made in Mexico for the first time today and it definitely won t be our last. The service was exceptional and the food was among the best we ve ever had. Generous portions, flavourful and presented well. So many choices, it was hard to make a decision. Can t wait to go back and try some of the other options.

Had a double birthday dinner here tonight and it was great. Food and drinks were delicious and at a great price for the portion sizes. Our server, Claire, was very personable and knowledgeable, and even compd our dessert as a birthday gift! Will definitely recommend this place and will be back! Dietary restrictions: I am dairy-free and they were happy to accommodate. Parking: Can be hard to find parking because it is a busy plaza, especially around dinner, but nothing to worry about.

The food here was such a disappointment after visiting the old location. The tacos crumbled apart as you were eating them. They need to incorporate the two shell method that many other places do. Marg sadly had no salted rim (the best part of the drink). The service was great, our server was very helpful and friendly.

Had to call Uber Eats myself to get a partial credit for soup when not my fault so food even colder. Too bad-used to love going to the old location. Do better Made In Mexico!

Went there on a Tuesday night with a group of friends and stayed well past their closing time, we wouldnt have even known if we hadnt checked the hours. The service was attentive and prompt, definitely loved their drinks menu. Food selection was quite good as well, plenty of options for both omnivores and vegetarians. Recently had an amazing experience at Made in Mexico! My family and I went for lunch to celebrate a birthday and the staff couldn t have been more amazing! Our server Ozz really connected with us and was available anytime we needed him. Ozz made our visit so special and went above and beyond for our table. We look forward to seeing him again! The food was amazing, it came out so quickly. We ordered the street and border tacos made with their house chicken tinga and it was so flavourful. We would 100% order it again. We also ordered the nachos and salsa as an appetizer and it was obvious that the nacho chips were made in house and they were so amazing! Overall the food was so flavourful and we felt like we were really in Mexico! The staff surprised us with a birthday serenade and a large sombrero to wear which was so much fun. It was the perfect end to an amazing meal! The atmosphere was so adorable with lots of fun Mexican artwork all over the restaurant! It is obvious a lot of thought and care went into the design of the restaurant. Overall I would give this experience a 10/10 on food, service and atmosphere! I definitely recommend bringing everyone you know here!

My wife and I love Mexican food, but our two 3 & 6 year old girls do not, so we brought half eaten popcorn chicken for them to the restaurant. Upon entering, we asked the front staff & male server if bringing outside food for our kids would be an issue, and they assured us it wouldnt be. However, once we were seated, a blonde staff member approached us and was extremely rude about us having the food. Her attitude was unnecessary and disrespectful. We would have gladly left the food in the car if she had politely explained the restaurants policy. Its important for staff to communicate policies to customers respectfully, without rudeness or hostility. This experience left us feeling unwelcome and disappointed.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The food at this restaurant was amazing, so fresh and flavourful. The service was amazing and the environment was so happy and welcoming. Totally recommend everyone to go

**Review: Utterly Disappointed** I was really looking forward to dining here, but the service was incredibly disappointing. The server with blond hair was not only rude but didnt apologize for asking us to leave because my kids were finishing up some outside food. My husband and I had made sure to ask two staff members if it was okay before being seated, and they both said it was fine. However, as soon as we sat down, the blond server came over and essentially kicked us out. This experience was not only embarrassing but also frustrating. I will never come here again. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Terrible service. The management should seriously consider firing this server.

Great food and atmosphere

We were asked to wait (along with 3-4 other groups of people) to be seated, even though we had a reservation. Ended up waiting about 15min to get a table, which isnt a big deal, but our overall experience did not make up for it. The place was super busy, so our waiter took a while to acknowledge us. He was nice, but we did not see a lot of him throughout our meal. The food was OK, but the obnoxiously loud atmosphere (loud tables & even louder music) made it extremely hard to enjoy our meal. It was only the two of us and we had to yell back and forth because it was impossible to have a conversation otherwise. Left unsatisfied and with a headache. Will not be returning.

Weve been to this location a couple of times and loved it, however our meal last night was just average. The Jalapeno Poppers which are usually crispy and delicious were not either. The main courses were bland and they didnt have any of their signature hot sauce? The server said that they didnt make any that day? How can a Mexican restaurant not have hot sauce???

Food was horrible. Torillia soup was Campbells tomatoe. Couldnt tell if my beef was beef or pork. No nutritional info. Will never return

We were very excited that they came back to Barrie. We have been going to Made in Mexico for many years. The Newmarket location, then Barrie and once they close and reopened in Barrie we have been here 5 times. The last 3 times we have seen an immediate decline in quality. We went Thursday for dinner and noticed prices have gone up a lot and food portions have been reduced. My meal went up by $5 and barely warm. I m a good cook and could tell this this was reheated chicken and very dry and no flavour. This was the last time and what a terrible experience with our server and my wife s drink was Extremely watered down. You ve lost a long term customer and there is so much more I could say.

Loved the food in this vibrant restaurant and bar. I was given a brief history on the tacos and quesadillas by Jordan. I had delectable Mexican red rice and beans and fish tacos. So delicious. Prompt service, tasty food, a great place to hang out. Also, close to comfort inn and other strip of hotels on Essa road and Hart Drive in Barrie and this place is a five-minute drive to Barrie s waterfront.

Delicious food and clean. This is our new family spot to enjoy good food together. We have been here twice so far. Our kids stick to the same menu (Tostadas and Burrito). My husband and I ordered the chicken burrito, Beef Birria Dorados, Divorce Enchiladas, with side Mexican Rice, Beans, Tortilla soup, and Churros. Every bite was delicious! My favourite was the Beef Birria Dorados with Beans on the side and Tortilla Soup . Habanero hot sauce sauce was delicious. Also, I have to give a shout out to Marco! He was an amazing host and treated our family like we were all family naturally. Amazing vibe for sure! Thank you and we will defiantly be back Kid-friendliness: They had a lot of options for the Kids menu and our server Marco was amazing to our kids. He was like an new uncle in the family lol

I had a great experience going to Made in Mexico everything was great the atmosphere was like home the service was amazing they made me feel comfortable. For the food they didn t take long and the food came out great I recommend that if you re looking for a place to eat you should come here I promise that you will also have a great experience.

Sorry, not for me. I ordered chicken fajitas with a house salad (lol) and Mexican rice. What I got was a big cold plate with a pile of grilled, then steamed, lukewarm chicken with a few cubes of onion and green pepper. No sauce, no salsa, no cheese and a half dozen nuked corn tortilla shells. I asked for some toppings and got some sour cream...all for $20. I wasnt paying, so I wasnt gonna complain, but you should know, that despite the good food being served around me, my plate was a big no! Our server was pleasant and prompt and its actually a nice spot, so theres that.

We loved this place! The atmosphere is super fun. Everything we ate was amazing. The server was very good. It really felt like an authentic Mexican experience. We will definitely be back and we will definitely tell our friends about it.

Courtney gets 5 stars! The food 1 star, this place was packed and people waiting, my meal must have been 1 off, I hope. First, was the lipstick on my glass, a dirty knife, after that I ordered the street tacos with ground beef, when I picked up all 4 tacos, the bottom fell out due to all the grease, that was disgusting. When the nachos showed up, all the toppings are dumped on top, the bottom layers were dry, and what is up with the sour cream? It was about the same amount as in ketchup packs! My wife enjoyed her meal, place was busy, I will never go back or reccommend.

First time at the Made in Mexico location in Barrie. The cheese empanadas were unreal and the El Pastor were the best I ve ever had. Got extra pineapple and a side of the green salsa verde with refried beans and tortilla soup (not my cup of tea). Chefs kiss. Ambience is nice, lots of things to read and look at. Pricing was extremely reasonable, will be back to try more menu items !

Went there today with my family, and i can say we all enjoyed our food. The customer service was excellent, and the atmosphere was good. The prices are very reasonable with the amount of food you get served. We ordered the pastor tacos, chicken tacos, and fajitas. They were very well seasoned and hot, and my kids enjoyed the chicken tacos. The only thing is i found it difficult to eat my tacos due to the tortilla ripping at the first bite, even the chicken tortillas that had no sauce at all, although we all managed. Found the service was good and noticed they cleaned the menus after each use. However, even though the service was acceptable the chances of returning are slim. Ordered the chicken enchiladas (green sauce) with Mexican rice and refried beans. The rice just tasted like salt. Liked how they put onions in the refried beans as filler but the beans themselves tasted cold, salty and a little fishy. Server brought to the table extra green sauce without asking. But, the green sauce just tasted like vinger. The chicken was tasteless and looked processed. There are other Mexican restaurants in Barrie that I find taste better and will patronage them. Well if you would like to pay for each individual topping this is your place. $15 for tortillas and onions. Ground beef and cheese and salsa all extra charges. This place is not only super confusing but super expensive and not worth it one bit. Very disappointing as I was actually exited to have some tacos. But that was terrible

Servers were friendly, service was fast, food was delicious. We are not from Barrie, which is a shame as this would be a family favourite.

The food here was fantastic!!!! Everything seemed fresh and authentic! They have a fantastic menu and an even better drink menu! The prices are a tad steep but definitely worth paying for the quality! The atmosphere was fun and energetic! Lots of music and people having a good time! (We went on a Friday night). I would highly recommend eating here. We liked it so much we ended up ordering online for takeout the next day. I will say the takeout was not quite as good as when we ate in and they forgot our utensils (we were staying at the hotel next door) but all in all I would definitely recommend eating here! Cant wait to come back again!

WOW! My coworkers and friends wouldnt stop talking about how fantastic this place is. So I had to see what all the hype was about . And it did not disappoint!! The drinks were tasty, food was DELICIOUS & our server Ozz was incredible. His recommendation s were spot on, he was quick and efficient, and so pleasant. We will be returning !! Our server, Marco was amazing. It felt like he was always there ready to provide anything we needed. We had lobster tacos, birria taquitos and the grilled steak Fajitas. This restaurant has become my new favourite place to eat since the food and service was outstanding. It was busy on Friday night but the service never suffered. Amazing. 10/10 for our experience. Well made tacos

I would say the food we got was just okay. It was a little cold and we were surprised that the quesadillas do not come with salsa or sour cream. The restaurant feels a bit dated but would definitely be open to giving it another try. It was very easy to get a table for 4 on a Saturday night and the service was good.

I cannot recommend this place enough! I ve had authentic Mexican cuisine and this definitely hits the mark! You re greeted at the front door with a friendly hola and immediately feel the mexico vibes with the music and atmosphere! Service was impeccable and food was to die for! Definitely get the birria tacos!

Saw this spot while visiting Barrie with the fam. Decided to give it a try. LOVED IT! My daughter really enjoyed the kids quesadillas! I ordered the Tacos pastor, and they were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! We ordered empanadas for the table, and we devoured them. I love the slightly spicy green sauce served on the side. Mild options are available. There is a level of spice for everyone! My husband really enjoyed the tacos Birria. He mentioned they were some of the best hes tried. I treated myself to a lime Margarita on the rocks, and HOLY COW! Best Margarita Ive ever had! Staff is friendly and restaurant is very clean! We cant wait to return! Ozz is FANTASTIC! He was the server taking care of us. My family has always loved Made in Mexico and we are so happy to see it open back up in Barrie! We went tonight for my dad s birthday and everything was excellent the food, the service, and the vibes were amazing! Our server Marco went above and beyond and treated us like family, we all loved him! We can t wait to come back soon!

Just came back from a wonderful meal. We are a family of 6, with very active little ones. They were amazing, the kids meals are amazing with great selections for all the kids. Our server Marcos was so amazing and so attentive to the little ones needs.

Made in Mexico Barrie brings its A game. The competition has its work cut out for them. The Birria Tacos are a knockout, the Lobster Tacos are divine and the chiro deep-fried cheese cake is deadly good. The best part is the prices are great for the top quality you receive. The bartenders and cooks got it going. The hostesses were super friendly and helpful. Our server was a rockstar. Busy night, lots of tables and never missed a beat. The overall valued experience here is Superb. Such a vibrant, energetic and cheerful place to be on a Saturday night. Big or small groups no problem. Very kid friendly environment

Marco was the best server we have had in a long time

Waited 20 minutes after we were sat, eventually had to go speak to the host because not 1 server stopped to see if we had been taken care of. Queso dip was bland, tacos and enchiladas were fantastic though!! Service wasnt great. They did comp our dip because we waited so long. Would try it again next time we are in the area.

I ordered through Uber Eats. I got the house chicken street style tacos and I was nervous they were going to be soggy, but they were actually super delicious and warm! I ve been to the Newmarket location and I am so happy there is now one in Barrie! The cilantro/lime rice is my favourite!

Food was delicious, drinks were delicious, but the service?! The service made our visit to Made in Mexico the absolute best!! Our waitress (did not get her name) was superb! Friendly, funny, amazing customer service! And Marco, was absolutely amazing and was the cherry on top to our girls night! Our friend wanted to dance to the music and he came and danced with her, which made her entire night!! Thank you Marco and waitress! And thank you for a great atmosphere, we will be returning in the near future!!

Excellent service from Marcos and in general from all the staff, the food was delicious, authentic Mexican flavor! We will definitely return to try more dishes on the menu!
