Could be better. It can be better

Today I drop one star. As usually I ordered two vaziri kabob, both meals were served without enthusiast of a cook, tomatoes are burned to black, rice wasn t tasty and there were no onions. Meat is as always good, 4 star only for the meat and baklava. If the next time the taste stay the same I will drop 2 stars. I really hope Taste of Persia will be best in Barrie again .

I ordered 2 vaziri, one leg and one breast but both were same! Plus, low quality so never recommended

Ordered Vaziri, it was no good. Kubide was rubbery, thin and felt like there was more onion than meat. Chicken was no good either, didn t taste fresh and for the price paid got very small cuts of meat. After few bites I had to throw it out. Very disappointing.

Nice people, delicious food, I tried khoreshte gheimeh today.

Placed on order via uber, was charged and yet they refused to hand the food to the deliver driver. The poor man had to come all the way to my door step to help him cancel the order so he can carry on with his work. Absolutely ridiculous level of incompetence.

I was completely disappointed with the quality. The taste of the koobideh was awful, and we all got sick. It was the worst koobideh Ive ever had, and I would never recommend it.

The kebabs and chicken breast were oddly soft and completely tasteless, to the point we joked we might have caught COVID since none of us could taste the food. The portion size was small for the price, especially compared to other Iranian restaurants in Toronto. We came here because of the high ratings, but the flavor left us really disappointed.

i was passing by Barrie, looked up restaurants, i found this place taste of persia, i have to say the food is great, great tasting, good size portions and excellent service witha friendly genuine smile, i could feel the warmth in the place, nice cozy corner, my 2 kids loved the food as well, the food was warm/hot, i tried some stew i cannot remember the name, but it was amazing,,, i cannot say enough good things about this place, that if i visit around barrie, i will definetely visit again and try something different, i usually take chances in trying something i never tried before, and i am glad i tried the stew.. sorry.. cannot remember the name but was amazing, made with almonds and pomegranate.. very pleasant service Vegetarian options: eat the vegetables,, Parking: lot of free parking Kid-friendliness: the owners i suppose were very friendly with my rowdy 6 and 4 year old kids

It was a marvellous set of dishes. The tea was one of the best, scrumptious and the presentation and the excellent service with the story behind it was something to remember.

Don t waste your money, I tried Koobide & barg, both were too bad. I couldn t eat even rice, it wasn t fresh!

We had our girls dinner Friday night here. Only patrons. Food was amazing staff super nice. Highly recommend.

Just moved to Barrie area, and am so excited to have found a new recurring dinner place. The plates were a lovely presentation and the chicken and lamb was just mouth watering good. Super happy, and I doubt anyone could leave unhappy.

Food was good but the service needs improvement. The owner is friendly and attentive but the younger girl seems like she doesn t want to work there.

Went there to get take out ordered 2 Koobideh Kabob $14.99 each and 1 Vaziri Breast Kabob $20.99. Then I asked if she could switch the one kabob of ground beef to another chicken. Charged $13.99 for 1 chicken kabob. Then when I got home and opened it the one meal that was $20.99 that should have had 1 chicken and 1 ground beef only hade the 1 chicken kabob and no ground beef. So way over priced and I got ripped off a kabob wont go back.

As an Iranian, I can say the food here is delicious and it s the only authentic Persian food I ve had in Barrie. I ve tried pretty much everything on the menu and order here regularly. Definitely recommend trying out the food here, the staff are super nice too!

What a gem we discovered the other day in Barrie, Ontario. Never thought there would be a Persian restaurant in Barrie. Stumbled upon it by accident as we were going to the Indian place and found that it is now a Persian Restaurant. Great food, amazing service and Massi (the owner) is very nice and friendly. Highly Recommended.

Food is awful. We ordered Chicken seek kabobs along with rice, but it doesnt have any flavor and feels very rubbery. And the food is very less quantity as compared to the price. Totally not worth the money. Spoiled our party night.

Nice foods and services

I was very excited to learn of Barrie now having a Persian restaurant. Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, and the service was quick and efficient. The food was delicious and portion size very generous. I ordered the koobideh kebob, and look forward to trying other options in the future. Of note, I have food allergies and the owner took time and care to ensure my safety and afford me peace of mind - I truly appreciate the level of consideration I was provided. I will happily be a repeat customer.

Interior design and selection of Persian songs were awesome. Great taste of Kabab Koobideh. The rice and bread were both freshly cooked. Zeytoon Parvardeh could have a better quality.

After a few times that I either ordered for pick up or dined in ,I found their food quality and taste very good and consistent . The owner always comes to your table to ask if you liked the food and ask you if there is something that you recommend to improve their quality but their kabob especially koobideh and Torsh are the best kebab that I ve ever had in Ontario and can t ask for better. I only wish the sitting area was bigger.

The presentation and taste was amazing Everyone at my party couldnt stop talking about how delicious the food was. We were looking for ethnic food joint in the Barrie corner after a day of counseling at PEO AGM. We were lucky to have found an authentic place with Persian dishes that touched our tastebuds; the appetizers were so healthy and the main dish meat quality was very much flavourful. To be repeated and recommend that you come in and end it with some tea! @guyboone Dietary restrictions: Non-spicy jalapeños!!!

Sofisticated and elegant ambience. Very tastefully executed. A good place for soft conversations, with soft music in the background. Excellent food, the Gormeh Subzi was really tasty, so was the Sultani kabobs. Would love to visit this place again when Im Barrie next.

Finally ! As a Persian that moved from Richmond Hill to Barrie two years ago its been very difficult not having anything around ... found this place by accident on google last night and I can verify its amazing food, must visit for anyone. Looking forward to them expanding to a bigger place once they receive the much needed support !

Best food in the city

First time in since they opened and we had great food and service. Ordered the chef special kebabs and mirza ghassemi. Big portions and everything so tasty! We did takeout but it looks like a nice place to sit down and eat. Will be back :)

Glad that a very good option of halal food is available in Barrie now. My husband and I moved from Richmond Hill and we used to have Persian food every other day. We happened to dine in here and the food is ahmaaazing! The place is clean. Food quantity is good. There is a bit of language barrier, I couldnt convey my appreciation for the food to the server girl as she couldnt understand. I just wish this place grows manifold inshaAllah and hope they never compromise on thier quality and quantity of food serving with the passage of time which usually everybody does. I would suggest you to add your menu in ubereats and also add in the halal food Google search as well.

My friend and I went dine in to Taste of Persia restaurant. The food is delicious, meat is tender and juicy, well seasoned, and it is good portion, it is worth trying the Persia cuisine, service was great, atmosphere is good and the owner is very friendly. We will come back again for sure. Food

If you are looking for great middle-eastern food in Barrie, this is the place to go. The food was fresh and flavourful and the staff were very welcoming. We happened onto this restaurant while driving to the waterfront and decided to give it a try. Everyone in our party of 10 left full and were all commenting on how good the food was. We found our new go-to spot!!!

This is a must try. Absolutely delicious and balanced flavours with one extra ingredient that puts this place over the top: love. Not to mention a wonderful staff that offered a generous dine in sample to help make sure we got exactly what we wanted. We had a great experience, we ordered baghali polo mahiche and koobideh and the taste was great! We will be back for sure.

Take out order for 10+ people - gobbled up the food before photos could be taken. We have had Persian food before but nothing like this experience. Portions were above generous and you can simply tell when eating a meal, that it has been prepared with love and care - so much so that the experience becomes spiritual. Our bodies and spirit were fueled by a Taste of Persia - their food is a gift - a tangible expression of a Higher love for us. Koobideh, Gheymeh, Fesenjoon, Ghormeh Sabzi, Shirazi Salad, Rice all exceptional. We returned the next day for a quick take-out Shirazi salad (my new daily salad of choice). I tried mixing in their rice with it - spectacular. Staff/Owners were gracious as you would expect. Just a phenomenally pleasing experience; left us looking like superstars to our guests - but all the glory goes to Taste of Persia!

The moment you open the door, you felt the warmth of family and the smell of fantastic food. I strongly recommend the taste of Persian Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of room at the tables. The bathroom door is wide enough for a wheelchair to go through and lots of room.

Barrie s first Persian restaurant is FINALLY here! Long overdue I must say. This is a great restaurant. I really enjoyed the food here and their exceptional service. I highly recommend this place!

Halal food. Zereshk Polo was very nice. Great price for the portion size! I had been waiting for this resturant to open and Im so glad they finally have! I cant wait to try again Edit: I just ordered the fesenjoon here and no exageration, it was the most pleasant tasting chicken I have ever tasted.
