Rubbery chicken, Mac bites sitting in puddles of grease. When complain the staff rude , manager absolutely needs to learn intrapersonal skills. I had taken the chicken off my club sandwich as is was rubbery. She accused me of eating it and was going to not take it off the bill. They were going to charge me 22 dollars for me eating bread, lettuce , mayo and small bit of bacon. I continued to stand my ground stating I was not paying for both dishes in which she just kept repeating I saw it. In the end both were removed, but no apologies offered regarding quality of the food, and after paying for the remaining bill, she stormed off and didnt say a word. Safe to say my family will NEVER return back

Rude waitress

We are a long time resident of Barrie and have been to Wickies numerous times over the past 30 years. It was good but has completely changed. My wife and I for the last 5 visits said we are never going back but decided to try 1 last time and was horrible. We sat at our table for 15 mins without anyone stopping to say anything, walked by as we sat at table without a word!! My wife and I got up and left, we will never return.

The food took a while to get to our table... And I could tell it had been sitting for a bit as mine was cold. Overall food is not bad and the restaurant was very busy and seems possibly short staffed.

Food and service from Sarah were top notch. BUT why music from a local radio station. This is a serious downgrade from the excellence of the restaurant. You can do better. .

Spent many nights enjoying food at wickies....but wing night tonight, pinky toe was bigger than the wings in the picture and I guess it was extra for dipping sauce and veggies....dunno wasnt asked. Or maybe it was excessively loud due to band and opening Football drowning out each other and didnt hear waitress. Will be spending local monies elsewhere...eat local but stay true to reviews. Play n stay safe peeps.

Consistently good pub food, and take out is pretty good too! Sometimes the quality of the food depends on who is in the kitchen (e.g., takeout nachos are sometimes better on some nights vs others in terms of cheese and BBQd chicken). Whether dining in or taking out, I recommend the nachos and the beef dip sandwich.

I used to like going to Wickies, but after last night, I probably won t go back. I had a new server, with zero personality, bar wasn t full, and I ordered 2 pounds of wings. It started off with a Caesar drink, drank that, ordered another Caesar because my order wasn t ready, finish that, and after more than an hour, She was serving people that had just sat down. I waited over an hour to get served 2 pounds of wings that still werent ready. I paid my tab and I left, probably not going back. Too bad

Lovely place to stop by after work for a quick dinner and a drink with friends. Great beers on tap, good selection. Cobb salad had fresh ingredients.

Always has the best service and fish and chips in Barrie. Their skor cheesecake is amazing. And a big thank you to Tanya (the best server!)

food quality has gone downhill the owner steals from his employees treats his employees horrible, which reflects their attitude of service. It s a shame because Wickies used to be a pillar in the community now it s a dumpster save your money and go somewhere else. Half the waitresses are drunk at work. Ain t what it used to be

Decided to have lunch here today. Cobb salad does not list red onions on the menu. We don t enjoy onions .salad was loaded with them. Two tables were occupied outside and three inside. It took 40 mins to get two Cobb Salads. Extremely disappointed. Was looking for a new place to suggest to go with colleagues. It won t be Wickie s.

We arrived at 5:30 pm July 5,2024 for a private function. Most of our party had already arrived and were already seated. The staff were informed we had to LEAVE by 7:00pm and were assured that wouldn t be a problem. Except for one appetizer, the food did not start arriving until 6:57. I had to leave because we were attending an awards evening in my honour. I ended up dumping my food into 2 takeaways and leaving. The other guests (who were participants and family ), had to gobble down there food and leave since the event started at 7:30 (and were late arriving at the event due to the lateness of food arriving at the table). As I was leaving our guests at the restaurant, I noticed the restaurant was not particularly busy and there were other staff members at a small table just hanging out. IF YOU NEED TO BE SOMEWHERE ELSE AFTER DINNER, DON T GO HERE. TERRIBLE SERVICE.

Used to be a busy pub very few people here on A Wednesday night...totally surprised

Made reservations for 5:30p.m. Friday, July 5th, for 17 family n friends. Was asked if it was an event we were celebrating. Yes, was my response. Family and friends arrived before we did and were sent to different sections of the restaurant. They were also told there was no reservation. When one server came to take our order, they were advised we had an event to attend and had to leave by 7:15p.m. I thought arriving by 5:30, there would be more than plenty of time to get meals ordered and people fed. The first meal came out at approx 6:57p.m. ONE meal. And we were told the rest would be about 10 minutes. My husband left at 7:10p.m. angry, p.od, and very frustrated with his meal dumped in two containers. One server continued to bring out two meals at a time. When I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor at the front of the restaurant, the woman I asked how she could help. I explained the situation. She apologized, short staffed, small kitchen, etc. I asked why I wasnt I advised when we arrived? She shrugged her shoulders. I said I invited family and friends to celebrate my husband, and the evening has essentially been ruined because of the lack of service on their part. She said maybe they could comp the drinks. That didnt happen. Extremely disappointed. Have been going to Wickies for decades. Left a message requesting contact from the manager and have yet to receive a call back. It feels as though our concerns are not important to them, that we are not valued customers.

Placed a Door dash order and waited almost an hour but when the Dasher went to pick up the order Wickies cancelled it because they didnt have veggie burgers. Couldnt figure that out an hour ago?

If youre looking to have your sodium intake for the year, in one sitting, this is the spot! Mouth burned with salt for several days after eating here; food was cold by the time got to table and was quite bland. Ordered a variety including wings, mozza sticks. Service was poor. Server took a while to bring menus, take order, bring food over and did not check on us for any refills etc. Server also appeared to be upset with am elder server that tended to our table and who apologized for the wait (this server- older lady was nice and stepped in for the younger obnoxious female). We do not recommend and will not return.

Food is decent and the prices are ok but the service is terrible. We had to start going to the bar to get drinks because our waiter was so slow and this place was at 25% capacity

You can never go wrong with a stop at Wickies Pub! Been going for well over a decade and have yet to be disappointed Parking: Part of a large plaza with ample parking availability

Terrible service. The food was ok. waited a longtime for another beer and had to ask another waitress. Our waitress made a commemt that we need to relax. It had been 15 minutes. They cater to their regulars. Never again.

This service was disgustingly HORRIBLE. The waiters were slow and did not dress sigma, the food was plain and bland. I had to ask REPEATEDLY for a drink and did not receive one until I went up to the bar and complained, this restaurant is truly not alpha I recommend not coming!

If you re coming in for a quick lunch, then this is NOT the place. They don t bring drinks automatically and have to ask REPEATEDLY just for them to bring it. The food is dry and I am upset to say that I am DEFINITELY not coming back here.

I dont often write reviews, but when I do theres usually a good reason. Want to hear about the worst restaurant experience of mine or any of my families lives? Strap in. We were out celebrating my sisters birthday, we had a group of ten and arrived for our 6:30 reservation. Weve all been here many times and were expecting a similar good experience. How about a waitress quitting mid shift, waiting over 2 and a half hours for food, insane lies, manager yelling at us, waitresses boyfriend showing up, all leading to a nice big family fight? Around 7pm our waitress swapped for a new one I think when her shift ended. We should have noticed something was up with the new one as I had 5 people sitting around me waiting for drinks for 15-20 minutes. She took our food order around 7:10, we were all starving. After 50 minutes of waiting for our food our she finally comes back, leans in and says Ok are you all ready to take your food order my sister and I did a double take and said No no, you mean drinks? You took our food order 50 minutes ago? After a quick shocked look, she quickly made her way back to the bar. My sister and I talked about it and was like no, there is no way she didnt put the food order in and how did she not remember the 10+ minutes it took her to take/write down that order?! We figured she must have put it in and forgot about it or just accidentally asked again, forgetting she already submitted ours. 10 more minutes pass and now it has spread through the table that she just said that and everyone was concerned the food order hadnt even been placed now over an hour since we placed the order. Someone from the party walks up to her at the bar and asks her, she tells them I am so sorry, its my very first night and Im overwhelmed, BUT the food was ordered and should be out soon. 8:10 comes and a new waitress walks over. She says I want to say sorry ten times right now, your waitress...shes gone, she walked out and we dont know where she went. She also didnt put in your food order and we dont have the order. So were now almost an hour and forty-five minutes in, no food, no order placed, and our waitress is gone. But heres where it gets even more wild. We say to the new-new waitress Yeah we heard it was her first day and this must have been a lot to handle The waitress looks at us and says This was absolutely not her first day, shes not new This is when we all started to get upset, and this is when I left.. I couldnt wait any longer but my family decided to stick it out as the new waitress said Well get you some fries right now and I will place your food order and youll have it in 5 minutes. I got a text from my sister at 9:15. Still no food they spoke to the manager and he told them that the new food order was placed as it normally is and was not rushed at all. So over 2 hours after originally ordering they still had the courage to bring food to all the other tables around, but didnt think to expedite the table that is close to melting down. Well. Thats what happened. Turns out, all hell broke lose after that. The manager ended up yelling at them, new-new waitress refused to come back to the table after she clearly realized she completely butchered trying to save this dinner, one of the staffs boyfriends showed up and confronted them outside, and all ended in a family fight. You want an adventure for your next dining experience? This is the place.

Too loud, food was dumped in a box and mixed together, waitress gave me special then other waitress changed it. Not pleased.

Such horrible service. We were there for a private party and was served once with a pop and water. We had to track down the server to get our food order taken. We arrived at 630pm left at 830pm , our food never came.... We left.... Very disappointed as we order their food often for delivery. You shouldnt have to beg for customer service. Avoid at all costs

This place has gotten so expensive. Just go to the Keg. Everything is cheaper and better there.

Food didnt taste great. Establishment charged 5 dollars for a literal handful of burnt chips. Everything tasted meh but thats not their fault. Waited a bit too long for the ordered food and many mistakes were made and not corrected. It wasnt terrible, but its not amazing.

This bar is a local staple where most of the people know each other but dont make you feel like an outsider. Quick service, large TVs, good selection of scotch, separate room for playing pool and private events, weekly events like rocknroll bingo that bring a fun crowd. Thanks to Emma and the staff for the welcoming atmosphere.

I had no idea this place was so great! I drive by every day but had never stopped until yesterday; I thought it was just a bar, but this is a great restaurant with better-than-expected food. I had a Cheesy Spinach & Artichoke Burger with a side salad. The burger was so good that I think it will take a few days to stop daydreaming about it. The salad was pretty good; nice that it had a bruschetta topping. The greens were awkward, but it tasted good. But the burger... that has me coming back, and Im bringing my wife with me next time since the menu has a veggie burger too (shes a vegetarian). There are a few other things on the menu Ill definitely want to try, including their Fish n Chips. Worth the visit! Prices around $20-24 per plate (Dec, 2022).

Always great food, drinks and service! Every single time we are warmly greeted and told to sit where we are comfortable, waited on right away for drinks and always served hot and fresh food. All the servers are friendly and amazing as well. All round a great experience each time we visit.

Though the service is amazing, exactly how do you expect anyone to come here and eat aswell. Your prices for even the smallest appetizers, (eg. Deep fried pickles) are no less than $16. Even your soup of the day is $9, thats outrageous. I am not to sure if I would encourage any of my friends to come here. Hopefully it can be fixed, as the service would be something I would rave about, for sure!!! Great job servers!!!

I was there with a friend for lunch Monday. The waitress got each of our orders wrong. We both ordered the cob salad and I asked for my chicken nor to have Buffalo seasoning it did. The avocado was from their guacamole squished like out of a tube. Basically they were both awful. I have been sick all day due to the seasoning. I will.never go back there again.

Had our son s First birthday here in the back room and it was such a wonderful afternoon! The space is perfect for a large group and the staff were very welcoming and easy going about our booking. Kayla took care of us and would request her again :) she was on top of everything and made it a stress free party! Lots of compliments from our guests

Great place. Easy to get to. Down st Ann to Burton street. The lamb shank was soo good and the nacho platter. Hudge. We watch the Leafs game on a 500. Big screen. Lots of park ing great service. Just ordered from here, the best thing I could have ever done. The food was simply mouth watering and ever bite was pure joy. If you get the chance order the Ruben or the Philly cheesesteak sandwich as well as the deep fried cheese curds. New favourite place.

We hosted a retirement party here and the staff went above and beyond. We had more guests than anticipated and the staff were so incredibly busy. However, they always had a huge smile and ensured that everyone was taken care of. The food was fantastic and the ambiance was perfect. We thank you so much for making the evening such a success.

They were open late on a Sunday which was very convenient. Nachos were delicious and the waitress added extra jalapenos as requested which was a plus. Overall atmosphere is okay nothing special but its really cold inside! Even the servers had sweaters on. Regardless still recommend here!

I haven t been to wickies pub in 3 months . Went there today around 1pm to 230 pm. Had a sandwich and fries . Sandwich had a hair in it and the waiter said last time you two were here you didn t leave a gratuity (tip) . We both were shocked she even said that . TO ME THAT IS RUDE . May never go back now . She had no right to asked that .I guess you don t care about your customers never heard back . Sad

I had a horrible take out experience. I ordered via Door Dash and thought I got a Club House with fries & onion rings for an extra $4.00. That is what my order said. When it came no French fries. I called to politely ask as I know times are tough for restaurants right now. I was told, with a laugh, that the order does NOT come with both. I explained that the order said it did only to be told basically it s an issue for Door Dash as they have tried to tell them to fix it. I am getting pretty tired of restaurants using these delivery service, hiking up their prices to do so and then taking zero accountability when anything goes wrong. The order was very soggy and looked NOTHING like what was advertised. There was also an odd taste to the sauce on it. All to say it cost me $35 and I had to throw it out. I don t have a lot of money but I try at least weekly to support local restaurants especially during this time. This experience means I definitely won t be supporting Wickie s Pub again. I understand mistakes happen. I get prices need to be higher when you are using a 3rd party. But the lack of accountability, customer service and the poor quality of the food is incredibly upsetting. $35 is a lot of money for such a poor experience and food.

The wings are delicious! We love the fiesta poppers but they re quite overpriced ($14 for a basket of 6 poppers - $4 more than another local pub chain.) Other than that downfall, a decent place to get good pub grub!

The stuffed Jumbo Yorkshire pudding is amazing! Just had our 31st wedding anniversary dinner together. We couldnt go out so the Wickies dinner made it special. Thanks Wickies! : )

Service was slow like 45 mins from ordering till we got our food, only gave us one menu between the 2 of us, waited for waitress to ask if we needed a drink refill for about 10-15 mins, food was okay, the Philly steak sandwich definitely didn t have tenderloin on it like the menu said, more like strip loin, And the cheese on the grilled cheese for the burger wasn t melted. Kinda greasy crowd on a Sunday night aswell.

Service was slow but we knew that going in as they were understaffed and we were a very large party. Food was just ok. Everything we ordered was overcooked. French beef sandwich was dry, burger was overcooked & Liver and onions was way overcooked and the mashed potatoes were extremely dry and lumpy. But it was a last-minute booking for our team and they did accommodate us.

How it takes 1 hr to get a chicken club sandwich is beyond me,it was not busy 2nd table to be served.kristen/kc/ was lovely but kitchen staff or management needs to be overhauled.needless to say I won*t be back ever again.lots of places around with better service and more deserving.

Best Poutine and Nachos around. Fairly Priced , great staff and the perfect homey atmosphere. This is my go to spot.

Staff is friendly. Bar area is a little cramped when watching sporting events. Interior decoration is not cohesive in my opinion.

Food is always great and the prices are competitive with other pubs. The waitresses and owner are great and make you feel welcome. Its definitely improved since I had my first drink here on my 19th birthday!

I attended this restaurant a couple days ago with 3 other friends. There were not many other customers at the time. It was my friends birthday and she was visiting us from Alberta. I chose this location because I used to frequently attend it with friends last year and it used to be amazing. Now their menu is cut in half....next to no selection. It took OVER an hour for our appetizers to arrive......and 4 of the alcohol beverages were complete garbages. I was safe with mine because I ordered a bottle of beer which they couldnt mess up if they tried. After being there for about 1.5 hours we gave up and cancelled our dinner orders. We paid for our garbage drinks and our appetizers, gave our server a large tip (who was an absolute sweetheart who apologized MULTIPLE times during our stay)...and I requested a manager call me the next day because they dont have managers at the restaurant on Friday nights. I did not receive a call. I highly recomend avoiding this restaurant. Its a shame....because they used to be great!!

This was our first time here and to say we were impressed. I had the yorkshire pudding filled with mash potatoes and beef, lots of beef. The real veggies were a nice treat. Now I couldnt eat it all. My husband had the burger with cheese and bacon. It was a good sized burger. The fries were good but came in second to the burger. Lots of food well worth the money. I didnt get our waitresss name, however she was very pleasant and professional. Will be back next time Im passing through.

There s a reason these guys have been around for as long as they have been. Food is excellent. Great liquor selection, friendly employees. It s that bar you always feel good going to, even with your family. Been coming here over 20 years now...

My experience here today doesnt really count. I was totally here for a meeting and not for food. When I explained this to our server she completely understood and was super kind and still took care of us. It was a beautiful afternoon on a beautiful patio and I would return here anytime.

Recently started a new job near Wickies Pub and its now my go-to lunch spot! Fantastic for a quick takeout order. I call ahead and its always ready within 10-15 mins. Food is so delicious! Staff is super friendly too!

lack of communication between waitress and kitchen. the chicken breast on my salad was to be plain but it was citrus flavor. who would want citrus flavored chicken on a club house sandwich? they should have plain chicken available for those who dont like citrus or cant eat citrus. my friends coffee was a ridiculously small nespresso and no free refills here. he spend over $6 for 2 little coffees. my sons bun was toasted when we asked for not toasted.

Wickies used to be a neat place to go and eat and play darts, but its gone downhill since. As a customer and as an Uber Eats driver, all of my recent experiences come down to the same two issues: Time and service. The waitresses arent as friendly as they used to be, and the time it takes to either get the food you ordered, or pick up an Uber order is way too long. Add in the funny looks you get from staff, and you see the problem. I stopped eating there, and I dont accept Uber orders from them either.

Good food, a little pricey but worth it.

The food is gross. Ordered the chicken club sandwich which was tiny and it was the end pieces of the bread used, it was dripping in mayonnaise and they used one slice of Kraft cheese single slices and half a chicken breast. The side salad was mescaline mix which was rotting and one large chunk of cucumber and bruschetta topping were thrown in the salad. . AND to top it off the girl at the checkout was telling everyone she was sick and had been feeling unwell while packing up our food. I should have walked out right then and there but I was starving...Im beyond disgusted with this place. Save yourself the money and go to McDonalds, the food is better quality and the kids packaging your food wont be sick.

I have been a customer for 30 plus years and live around the corner. The prices have been going up and service has been going down. I understand this during our trying times with COVID. Today I was charged an extra 85 dollars on my bill. Shame on you. I will never come back.

Nice place for a quick beer. The food is good. Traditional pub fare. Freshly cooked. There is a back room with pool tables and a Golden Tee Machine updated and live. *update* the golden tee machine is not working.

The four stars are for our server. She was amazing. But the fruit flies flying over and around us during our meal were absolutely crazy. When we asked our server about them she had told us that they totally renovated the restaurant but they didnt do the pop lines and that was were the flies were coming from. As I looked down at the pop I ordered. The food looked good but was just ok. Dont think I will return.

Staff were excellent

I had an amazing experience at wickies last weekend, I enjoyed the food and the drinks and excellent service from Kayla and the bartender. came back the next day with a few friends and our server Nicole treated us with zero respect.. she started off by taking our drinks and messed up on multiple occasions. She then decided to ignore us and avoid our table when it was clearly not busy. I would love to come back and spend my hard earned money as long as she isn t serving us. Thanks in advance
