Been here numerous times over the years and it never disappoints! My personal favourite is the pretzel with cheese as an appetizer and a pizza main. The atmosphere here is really great and the staff are relaxed but efficient.

Given the reviews and the restaurants location, we were looking forward to trying their draught beer. We asked for the aged barrel ( 10% ), and it tasted horrible. I thought they might have added some brown sugar to it (I dont know why ). Nobody has seen anything like this. The bright side of the story was that our waiter was very friendly.

I will definitely be going back because now I want to try everything on their menu! We sat on the outdoor patio while the air show was going on overhead and our server was very friendly and helpful. I had a flight so I could try a few of their beers, and I enjoyed them all! By far the star of the show though was the food! The fish tacos and the dillicious pizza were both incredibly tasty! Now that I have discovered it, I look forward to going there again with more friends.

Food and service is great but the beers selection has taken a hit with only 4 in house beers (and none that I typically enjoy). they have supplemented their beer with outside breweries but I liked theirs better. Hope they get fully operational soon.

Great place good food. But must say they really over serve their regulars. I sat and watched people pretty wasted just walk out and drive home. Crowd is a bit older for me. One older lady was very drunk and left got behind the wheel almost backed into my truck. Soon this place will lose their liquor license just like a pub up North for over serving their customers.

Been buying beer from the bottle shop for the last decade. Went in today and they no longer sell their own beer from the bottle shop, and you have to buy food in order to be able to buy anything to take home. If you don t want to wait you can circumvent the rule by purchasing a snack sized bag of potato chips for $1. Weird scenario .. Anyways, I like your beer and would like to support you directly. I hope you change this as I won t be buying other brands beer at my local brewer, I prefer to support local. Cheers

My husband and I have date nights with our best friends every week. We try out different restaurants. We were very excited to try this place; the food was tasty but it was served cold. We had the burger, chicken sandwich, brisket and butter chicken. It was ALL cold. For the prices they are charging everything should be MUCH better. Change your chef now! The ONLY great thing was our waitress. She was a sweetheart.

Given the high reviews and even other friend s recommendations I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant. There were four of us with four different orders and all the food was cold. It came out quickly but was cold. How do you cook something cold?! The service was fantastic. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable and a pleasure. Overall, a very disappointing trip.

The Chefs Special pizza sounded interesting. Ordered to go and we live 5 minute away. Pizza was almost cold and skimpy with the topings. Flavor was interesting but not cold. Also disappointed they did not have any of their beers, only other brewers. Was very happy last time we were there a year or so ago but much different this time.

Honestly cant say enough good things about this place! Such a great atmosphere, the staff are always so nice and friendly. Was so great to have surprise flights of beers, ciders and ale made for you! Ordered a pulled chicken poutine and sweet peach tea drink. It was good food. Could have used more gravy and the chicken was like a mix between pulled and ground. Cheese curds were great. Good price too. The sweet peach tea drink was indeed sweet. It was more like peach schnapps and a slice of peach at the bottom. Gave me a headache afterwards, didn t know I was susceptible to that with sweet drinks!

Our server Ryan made this place 5 stars and definitely will be returning. Nashville chicken sandwich was great!

Food was great, beer was great, however our server was condescending! Me and my friends were excited to try the brewery as we enjoy IPA s and when I asked for a suggestion on the beers our server proceeded to tell me that I don t like IPA s! I asked for whatever he liked best, and he decided to bring me a light lager saying it would be better for me. Experience was uncomfortable and awkward because he continued to treat us this way the entire time! Didn t tell us his name but he s between 40-55 years old, puts glasses on to see receipts and has a pretentious attitude towards customers!

Really like going here. The atmosphere, service and food are great, and of course the beer. Food is a bit pricey as is everywhere . The one thing I questioned was the cost of the brisket tacos which were a little underfilled if you ask me. $19 dollars for 3 tacos, but you can buy extras for $4 each. The math doesnt make sense. Liked the beer but the Leather Brown Ale which was a guest tap from Redline tasted like they just threw a pile of cocoa into a dark beer.

I grew up in Canada and now live in New York. I have been in restaurants all around the world. Never have I ever before encountered what we did last night. We walked into Barnstormer in Barrie and asked for a table for five. The young girls at the hostess stand were very accommodating and said, We can seat you in 45 minutes, or we can put you at this table. Then an older woman walks up and abruptly says, We can add a chair to this table, but you can t stand here, it s a fire hazard! We left. So did the family heading in behind us.

Craft beer was excellent and the food was plentiful and delicious.

Best deep fried Brussel sprouts ever. Took this dish and kicked it up 5 notches. Well done Chef Dane and crew!

The pear salad is divine 10/10 would recommend if you like a refreshingly sweet salad, pretzel was okay enjoyed the Dijon , and can never go wrong with nachos.

Barnstormers has great food and an amazing drink selection. It could have been 5 stars if it wasn t for a small misunderstanding. We were asked if we wanted gravy (without being told it would cost extra). Made it seem like it was included - but we got charged for it later on the bill.

Amazing food, love the chefs weekly specials to change it up, amazing beer for quick go-tos and the special ones now and then including those paired with the charities, my personal favourite is the windshear Watermelon summer Ale. The staff is fantastic, very friendly and personable, super quick and attentive and a laugh or 3 mixed in there too!

Located on Yonge, these guys know how to make a beer. The porter and IPA were top level and add to it the great decor of the place. Also had the best mens room we loved our time there.

Staff are awesome and so friendly and so knowledgeable of beer and their food menu. Pizza is so good and soooo many taps to choose from too. Always a stop when I am in Barrie !!!

We were visiting from Australia meeting up with some past friends and had an excellent experience with food staff and beers were the best would come again for sure.

We came here to have a beer and grab a quick bite to eat while we waited for our dog to be ready for pickup at the vet. The beer was pretty good, and they had a nice variety. Service was attentive and very friendly. The reason for the 2 star rating was the food. We ordered Irish nachos to share and they were 80% inedible. For anyone whos had Irish nachos in the past, you typically expect very thinly sliced potatoes. Our nachos had thinly sliced potatoes on the very top but had thicker pre-cut ridged potatoes for the bottom 80% (known as dollar chips in some pubs). The dollar chips were rock hard and it was physically impossible to bite through them. Not just a little hard or tough but actually impossible to bite through. The rest of the dish was stone cold and very underwhelming. Im almost certain that this was mostly a day old dish that was reheated and served to us with a few of the thinly sliced fried potatoes added on top. By far the worst food order Ive ever experienced in my entire life. I complained to the waitress who remarked that shes never seen the dollar chips on this dish before (essentially confirming this is old food that was reheated and re-used). She said shed discount the order. I expected that shed remove the nachos from our bill given we only ate 20% and it was completely inedible but they decided to only discount 50%. $9 for maybe a dozen thinly sliced fried potatoes, cold partially unmelted cheese, and cold dry chicken. Horrible. Long story short, come here for a pint but for your own safety, do not order the food.

Just moved to this area in Barrie so we decided to stop in for lunch after a long morning. Can safely say this will probably be our go to spot. Firstly, the service was fantastic. Amanda was our service and almost directly after bringing us water and beer, we had to comment on how nice and welcoming she was. We thought she might have been an owner but turns out she just loves her job, and that makes us feel good dining there. Secondly the food was also great. It was hard to choose what to eat, and will definitely have to be back to try the rest of the menu. Their beer is also super tasty, we bought 2 kinds to bring home with us. As well as their own hot sauce and BBQ sauce - a must have to take home. Can t wait to be back.

This place is a jem. Had pizza and beers with my wife. The staff was awesome. Ryan, our server took the experience to a top 5 dining experience. I wont speak of the beer. You must try them for yourself. But the pizza.. thin crust, no droop, not hard like it will cut your mouth up. Great sauce, flavourful. Then a perfect mix of toppings. My wife is celiac and had the gluten free pizza. I tried a bite and you wouldnt know it was gluten free. This is one of my new favorite pizzas and like I said go try the beer, it will not disappoint

We were here on Monday for an impromptu family lunch in the afternoon. Our server Amanda was absolutely incredible...attentive, knowledgeable in the brew and menu, friendly and helpful. She brought samples for beer we had questions on and provided great suggestions. The food was excellent, fresh with good quantities and reasonable pricing. I was the only one in our group sampling beer and my intent was to try all 13 on tap, but I made it through 8 before I was full of tacos, but Ill be sure to return and try the remainder. Also made it a point to stop in at their bottle shop. Highly recommend!

Great experience at Barnstormers. The server was really helpful with the tastings and made good recommendations. The food was absolutely sensational (not your typical pub grub). I highly recommend the Brussels Sprouts and the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich.

This is a brewery first and foremost. Good selection of beer from the brewery and its always nice and cold! Pizza crust is second to none with any combination of toppings you would like. Nice new section of patio that makes it feel as if youre not sitting in a parking lot. The only negative is that the patio is in a parking lot.

Small tasting of 4 different beers including 3 IPA and the light Norwegian and all very good and different flavors! The Barnstormer sandwich is exquisite! I added beacon & cheddar cheese it was dripping Excellent service from the staff! Small quiet terrace. I would come back to try their pizza this time

First dining experience today. I had the Barnstormer burger, which was excellent despite being a little overcooked. My grandson gave the chicken fingers two thumbs up. Would definitely try again.

Great options for beer . Visited 3 to 4 times in year . Tried almost all beer choices . The favourite is 4 beer sampler. The liked their Ale s and he freshly baked pretzels served with beer dip is a hit

Solid place for food and drinks. Beer is carefully crafted, without the usual overhopping. Smooth, delicious and goes down easily. Try their chip-crusted fish and chips, or the breaded cauliflower. Amazing stuff. For beer, try the low alcohol Billy Bishop Brown ale, or for something lighter the Watermelon Summer Ale. It is the perfect summer beer.

Good is good and quite the selection of craft beer.

For pick up: They forgot an item we paid for, and the pizza was raw, probably worst pizza I had in my life, they offered me a gift card for the pizza and the items I paid for but they forgot to give me, I live on the other side of town so kinda pointless even (as I paid for it already). She was nice on the phone , by overall I feel I just wasted a dinner and money. Hopefully if I ever do make it back , the food is better. Update : manager called and was super accommodating . Good customer service

Their beer is very unique. The haziest of IPAs and so flavorful. The Alberta Mosiac being my favorite so far. Plenty of parking nearby as well!

This place is a hidden gem in Barrie! The food was surprisingly delicious, we had the hot chicken burger, chicken wrap and chicken tenders and they were all so good!! The salads were the best part, the roasted pear salad was amazing. Our server was also extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the menu!

We got take out during the recent lockdown, and it definitely did not disappoint! The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was ginormous and tasty. The jalapeño honey fries were incredible! Picked up some beers as well. Will definitely return!

My husband and I were excited to try this place but unfortunately our entire order was more than disappointing. We got fish and chips and the chicken sandwich and all of it was burned including the fries. We also got the beer Mac and cheese to split and it was a tiny side portion with a tiny side portion salad. For the price they are charging everything should be MUCH better. Definitely won t order again.

Stopped by for some quick takeout dinner. Got the Barnstormer burger. Very charred, and very dry. Also added the garlic asiago fries...save your $$, theres nothing special here. Was a first and last time for me.

Barnstormers has the friendliest staff with a great selection of beer and food choices. They consistently create new specials with international flavour profiles (so visit often) but I highly recommend getting the pretzel appetizer and Nashville chicken sandwich!

Wow what can I say about this place. The food is absolutely fantastic,the beer was outstanding and the service was top notch. Had a great burger and special made fries paired with a great brewed Stout. My wife had a chicken burger with jalapeno honey fries( oh so good) and a blonde ale. We will be making this a regular spot.

This place was great! Has about 12 tables on the patio and several tables inside for dine-in now! They were able to accommodate our small pup and made our experience super comfortable and enjoyable. The staff even went out of their way to move one of the umbrellas for us after we had asked to borrow one from a free table (they unfortunately lost an umbrella from the recent tornado). The food was tasty and their beer was also great. Portion sizes were reasonable for the prices. I d come back for the service alone.

It was a good dine in experience. We all enjoyed the cocktails. The food was amazing too especially the half and half, and full rack ribs. The burger was awesome. The pizza was that not good. We ordered small cow lll something meat pizza it wasn t good as it thought. Otherwise it was perfect.

Great food! Love the Buffalo cauli bites, the white out pizza, the Barnstormers burger almost everything we have tried has been delicious. I just wasnt impressed with their newly add tacos. They were just ok. Beers are always creative and delish!

Ordered a sandwich and a wrap for pickup and told it would be ready in 20 mins. Showed up at the 20 min mark and paid but was told it wasnt quite ready and they would bring it out to me when it was. 20 mins later I went in to get my money back and they handed me my food. The fries were soggy due to sitting on the counter for who knows how long and the bread for the sandwiches matched. Perhaps the service is better in person, and perhaps the food is better when it doesnt sit in a bag for half an hour, but this turned out to be a total waste of money, barely edible and I wasted an hour of my night.

We flew into barnstormer hongry after my pilot test that I passed. Mercedes was an angel and served us with great knowledge of the meads and ales to quench our never-ceasing thirst. We very much enjoyed the 1fruit salad, that 1 fruit being the pear. We love pickle and we had pick deep fry. The pizza was great even the day after when we ate the crusts yum. The ales were amazing they all made them and out them on the spanking stick with the holes in it to hold the goblets

beers were okay, nothing to scream to the roof tops about but there was acouple decent ones, food on the other hand i can tell judging by the preztel and cheese sauce was a 10/10

In general, have been rather unimpressed by our various restaurant experiences since things have opened up again in the summer. SO PLEASED with the food and beer here. Everything was so satisfying to eat. Terry was very attentive, and gave us excellent recommendations. The pumpkin beer rivals the one from GLB, and the mosaic IPA was very juicy, well balanced, and not too bitter. Had the pretzel, Brussels sprouts and chicken tenders and will definitely be coming back for the pizza, and more beer! The tenders are FRESH. No Sysco frozen tendies here, and the sprouts were so yummy. The glaze didn t over power the great taste of a fried Brussels sprout. Excellent portions for price, those three items were split between me and my husband and we definitely left full and happy.

Was there last night. Grant was our server, and was awesome. Very personable and just a good guy. Food was great great!. Candace in the Beer Store area was fantastic. She knows her stuff:) and was super easy to talk too. Great overall experience. It was a nice change. We need more ppl like Grant and Candace (hope I spelt it right) Thanks again.

I had a great experience here! The atmosphere of the restaurant is stunning & warm, & the staff were super friendly & easy going. Our food came out quickly & well timed. I shared a plate of the jalapeño infused honey fries with bacon & garlic aioli: great for sharing because it can be heavy on its own, but the flavours were outstanding!! I also ordered the brisket tacos & WOW! The pickled onions & side sauce served topped it off, I would highly recommend! I paired my meal with the cider, which was a light, easy drink. There s so much more I want to try on their menu & I will be returning!
