the wings and crispy fries r a godsend, i crave them like every other week update from 2 yrs ago: still craving them every other week, cant go anywhere else for wings or fries

Great chicken and gravy! I always get the half chicken dinner with fries. The garlic bread that is included is very disappointing but all in all its a nice meal and priced right!

Changing my original review. Use to love this place but the last several times we have ordered wings. (About 3 times over the last year) they have tasted rancid. We will get a few good ones that taste like they should and then ones that taste like they ve literally gone rancid. We had told the owner a while ago when it had first happened to us. My husband had called to let him know. He didn t seem to care. We waited almost a year before trying them again because we were that grossed out. The next time was just as bad. Waited a couple more months and again it happened. Today was our final time trying. I thought we had a good batch as we got 4 wings in and no issues. Then, it happened again. Multiple rancid tasting ones. Tired of waisting our money here. The place is getting more and more grungy too. Used the debit machine and it looked like it had not been cleaned in months. I was scared to even touch the thing. Will never be back and for health and safety purposes I do not recommend.

Visited for my first time this week. Got a quarter chicken meal with fries garlic bread and gravy. Everything was great, Owner was friendly. Will be back for a weekly visit.

Ribs and wings in bbq sauce were absolutely fantastic. Fries were a little undercooked, but I highly recommend this spot.

On a Tuesday night their special is a 1/4 chicken dinner and I called at 7:20pm to place an order and they were out of chicken! It s a BBW Chicken place with no chicken! Had never been there before but I guess if you run out of your main dish, you probably don t have that much else to offer.

Great chicken

Its no knockout chicken. Had the crispy chicken and nuggets. The wing was decent whereas the other pieces of chicken were very dry. The nuggets were okay. If you have to eat here maybe just get wings? Big tub of sweet and sour sauce was a good.

If youre going to order food here, bring your appetite! I ordered the half rack / quarter chicken combo based on my extensive experience. I expected the usual piece of ribs about the size of two decks of cards and a small chicken leg. What I ended up with was a portion of ribs literally the size of my face! One bone, a few of the delectively crispy fries, and a couple bites of chicken and I was done! Absolutely delicious. My only quibble is that I really wish they had tables, because this is not the kind of food you want to eat in the car. Parking: Its right in front

Small greasy spoon type place with 2 tiny tables, mostly takeout. Have never seen anyone eat in. There is a $ charge if you use the debit machine and your order costs less than 25$ bt. Zero customer service. Had the halibut and chips. Decent small piece of fish, and mostly chips which are not very good.

Hands down, best wings in Barrie ! I cant speak for others but i would like to say , the hot wings here are the best in town!! The cpl that run this little hot spot are very kind and friendly. I am happy to see they are still here. I stopped in for a cpl double hot wings on my way back from up north this eve. Brought wings and a great lg ceaser. The dressing was real nice. Wings were hot but not over kill well saused and deep fried to oerfection. Only sat for 10 mins waiting. No probs , i enjoyed chatting to another waiting on ribs. I hear she loves bbc ribs. I have been ordering wings at this same little place well over 30 years. Its been years but so glad i decided to get off 400 and drive through town so i could stop here. 5 stars. Thank you. The food is always really good here. Ribs & wings, fish and crispy chips, Mmmmm. I think its been around a long time and the inside has never changed. They dont need to, people come for the food not the atmosphere. Service is fast and friendly.

Its take out. The crispy fried chicken and crispy fries are probably the best chicken in barrie. Its hot and crispy. The combos usually need more fries, so order extra.

Went up to Barrie today and passed by Barrie BBQ coming off of Wellington, so on the way back, decided to stop in and ordered the fried chicken, ribs, onion rings and deep fried pickles. Absolutely great food for the price! The fried chicken especially was amazing. First time there, and will definitely be back again.

I have reviewed this before, but still the best food ever from 106 Vancouver. Every Saturday night we still order, no exceptions. The nicest people and the delivery driver really makes you happy to have supported them. I cant say enough good things about this restaurant. We all need to support local companies this great in these times and this is a restaurant gives you quality for a great price. Excuse me while I stuff my face with chili poppers.

I always order the 1/2 dinner and I m never dissatisfied. The poutine with chicken gravy is also very delicious. Don t judge a book by its cover. True hidden jem.

I get the suicide wings here. Not the hottest wings Ive had but theyre great! Currently sitting in here waiting for my food and Im in bliss.

Most of the good reviews must be delivery orders.... Go inside and look around. Doesnt look like the owner(s) takes pride in the business. Not sure when the last time is the floor saw a mop or walls were cleaned. Kitchen equipment filthy. Also saw questionable food safety practices while waiting for my order. Could be sooo much better with a bit of effort. Its sad to see.

dirtiest, smelliest place in barrie. couldnt get the smell of the place out of my car after bringing the food home. chicken wings were the worst I ever ate.

Food arrives super fast, only place in Barrie you can get ribs cooked so nice and in such good portions. If you are starving and want something amazing and ASAP, you will not find anything better. The ribs are so huge that we wonder if they are breeding Dinosaurs.

OMG .... If you have not yet tried this place out , it is a MUST !!! The RIB dinners are just amazing and very well portioned , you definitely wont be hungry after eating one of their meals very YUMMY !!!

The 1/2 rack and chicken comes with fries and a (not the best) garlic bread and is 20 bucks and feeds 2 adults a my 5 year old we add a side and were totally full ... like you cant beat that. Can add more ribs or chicken if your realy hungry n still come in at less price (n better meal) than the other bbq joints.

OMG absolutely love it. Very generous servings of some of the highest quality ribs and wings Ive ever had! The rotisserie style chicken is so good too and its just as soft and fall-off-the-bone as their ribs. I really wish their debit machine had a tip option, but next time Ill rememeber to bring some cash because this is hands down one of the best local takeout food experiences Ive ever had in Barrie !!!!!! Kudos to the very hard working ownership!!!!

Loved the food here! Ordered delivery for first time and the food was so well done; ribs fell off the bone, large chicken wings, crispy fries, and really delicious sauce(of which there was a lot). Huge portion for a fair price, and delivery was fairly quick ad well - about 25 minutes total after delivery.

Friendly owners, the food is always hot, good sized wings and great sauce. Thumbs up !

I have been ordering from barrie barbecue and chicken for 25 years I just had quarter chicken breast dinner with baked potato sour cream and garlic bread their food is always fresh well cooked and absolutely delicious and the prices are amazing the quarter chicken breast dinner is only 825 quarter leg meal only 725 and their fries are awesome too

I heavily recommend this place, their crispy fries are a solid 10/10 and they re at such a good price! I go here at least twice a week cause of how much I enjoy their food. I personally dislike poutine, however all my friends say that the poutine is amazing as well. Shoutout to Ted for the awesome food every day

Have ordered delivery from here for larger groups a bunch of times, and used to recommend this place to my friends. I used to work with cary, one of the owners husband and would much rather support small family business over KFC or something. Today was the first time I went into the store, asked for a 3 piece fried chicken meat with white meat and was told no, we dont do only white. I said what do you mean, you cant charge me a bit extra and give me white meat? Still no. Wont be back and definitely wont be recommending it anymore either. Silly reason to lose a regular customer.

Ive been taking out here for over 20 years. I have since moved to Windsor Ontario and return to Barrie at least once a month and I always pick up some Barrie BBQ Chicken for my family to take back home. I have never been disappointed. Good food and good portions compared to what is offered competitively.

We got 1/4 chicken and my wife got fish. I think the delivery guy was more fresh. She said the fish was okay at best, the chicken was nothing special at all. The sauce and the gravy were absolutely flavorless. I tried my wifes Cole slaw thinking they couldnt mess that up......... I was wrong...... Very bitter tasting to the point of non edible. Not good at all guys. Work on your recipes.

I get the wing and rib dinner when i order from here. It is cheap fast. Order for pick up. Not a good place to take a date. There is no dine in option.

Avoid! This place is take out only and not identified as such in their signage. Food was absolutely terrible and owner clearly does not care about anything other than surfing Web. No bathroom or sink. And owner could not direct me anywhere to get a bathroom. To top it all off, a bbq place that does take out only, and does not include a moist towelettes to wash hands after messy ribs - unreal!

Love this place. Food is always amazing and they have a great selection.
