My friends and I had a great experience here, there was a slight mix up on our size of reservation but they bent over backwards to accommodate us. The food was great, and our server Chris the bearded ginger made our night. We will be back !!

We generally like this restaurant, but the prices have gotten absurd. $74 + tip for 2 chicken sandwiches and 2 beers!! They dont have many standard beers like Bud, Shock Top, Belgian Moon, and the wine portions are so expensive and so puny that I never order wine when I go there. Its a good restaurant, but the value isnt there for what you pay.

Went for Lunch on Friday November 8th with a friend and it took them close to 20 minutes until they took our order. Food came out in a reasonable time but after finishing to eat it took well over 30+ minutes and asking for the bill 4 times to get it, after which they didn t bring the machine and it took another 15 minutes to have someone come to the table so we could pay. Spent 15 minutes eating and close to 90 minutes waiting to order and waiting to pay to leave. Unacceptable.

Our server was amazing. Very pleasant and did her job with expertise.Food was prepared perfectly for all of us.

Have some very good gluten free options

Been here a few times and each time its been busy and parking has been limited. Just be prepared to walk. Last visit the pretzels were not as they were previous. Its like they ran out of the pretzels and substituted for pretzel bun. 20$ for a pretzel bun and sauce is too much. The lettuce wraps also seemed to diminish in size from a previous outing. Perhaps it was just the busy long weekend and a shortage on certain foods. Staff was great as were the cocktails. Easy to get to. 15/11/24- well they have picked up their game and service Is improved from as good as it was before. Had an issue with the gluten free bun falling apart but they fixed the issue no questions asked. 15/10/22 Getting better as they become more efficient and supply chains improve. Costs have gone up but that is #JustinFlation. Their Oktoberfest menu was nice. Can book online with OpenTable. Great for reserving outdoor seating. 16/11/22. 23/6/23 much improved. Ty.

Just visited the Barrie location and left frustrated! . I have been a regular at Beertown in both Newmarket and Barrie.. I ordered a pint of a local Flying Monkey beer when I received it, it was obviously less than a pint. I brought this to the attention of my server and she assured me that was a pint.. I told her that it couldn t be and after discussing it she sent the manager (Wilhelm) over and he maintained that it was a pint and tried to tell me that a pint is different with each brewery which is absurd as a pint is a form of measurement .I suggested that they tell the customer up front like other brewery s that they don t offer certain brands in pints but smaller glasses. Wilhelm said that that wasn t possible. That s crazy!! I m not going to relate all the details but I indicated that this experience would be reviewed.. in the end he offered to give me the beer for free which wasn t my reason for expressing my frustration. I left and went to Flying Monkey and ate there instead . By the way they let you know whether they offer their beers in full pints or smaller glasses!!

I m not sure what happened to this place but my recent experience has me questioning if I will ever go back. Having been here to dine in and for take out numerous times in the past, I ve never had a bad experience. Most recently however, I ordered take out and found the food borderline inedible. The gluten free mac and cheese was more reminiscent of a thick stew with next to no texture in the noodles. My Asian salmon was beyond over cooked and the sauce that came with it was so salty that I had to scrape it off. The pretzel buns were equally salty and left me feeling sick by the end. The sweet potato wedges which were once amazing weren t even wedges, they were fries and tasted no better than what you would cook at home from frozen. I m hoping this isn t representative of what the food is turning into but it certainly has me nervous to ever try it again.

My husband and I went here for a late lunch today. It was our first time here, and it did NOT disappoint! We had the pretzels with cheese sauce dip and spicy mustard dip for an appetizer. The pretzel buns were hot and soft and delicious. The cheese sauce was smooth and had a fantastic flavor. The spicy mustard was also a wonderful surprise. My husband had the Oktoberfest chicken schnitzel with fries. It comes with an apple butter spread that he really enjoyed! The chicken was juicy, and the pretzel bun was soft and chewy. We saved the leftover cheese sauce, and he dipped his sandwich in it. I had the BT brisket platter. I loved it. The brisket chili was perfectly spicy. The brisket portion was very generous, and I brought some home for leftovers. The cole slaw was crisp and tasty. I enjoyed the dill pickle potato salad very much, but honestly, it could have had more pickles for me. But I am a pickle fanatic. Overall, we both enjoyed our meal very much. Our waitress Rouge was very friendly and helpful with the menu options. I highly recommend you visit and give them a try. The menu had a very good selection, I look forward to trying more of their menu options

Holy moly! As someone who is gluten and dairy free my options are typically limited going out to eat. But not at beertown! They have an EXTENSIVE gluten free and vegan / plant based menu with options to substitute between the two (ie vegan cheese with regular burger etc). I got the brisket platter and was floored with my first bite. It was so delicious I did a little happy dance the dill pickle potato salad, coleslaw and chili sides also slapped. Couldnt finish it was such a generous portion and I obviously had to save room for dessert because all of their vegan desserts are also gluten free!! The pretzel brownie is a sweet and salty dream They also offer gluten free beers and ciders Vibe of the restaurant is a modern pub. Lively and upbeat 100% coming back. Cant wait to try more! Have been to this Beertown many times due to their amazing vegan menu (thank you beertown!). That s why it makes me sad to write this review. We went with family (all vegan but 1) and the service was really poor when we have come to expect awesome service. The food when delivered was sloppily plated and 4 of 6 dishes should have been returned due to either not what was ordered or below acceptable standard, but we are not a complainy bunch. Vegetarian options: When up to standard separate and great vegan menu including brunch!

Busy but the food was good, selection unbeatable and service attentive. Funky local craft brewery feel with elevated food options. Plenty for the vegetarian/vegan/GF crowds, too.

Im in town for a ball tournament. Beertown is a 5 min walk so we decided to go. Sat at the bar as I always do because service is usually quicker and usually get to chat with staff. This never occurred here. Three people behind the bar had 2 look at our empty glasses a few times. They kept throwing empty wine bottles into a bin making a loud noise. Just a crappy atmosphere at the bar. Never tried the food had 2 beer each and left.

Really great food in a fun friendly atmosphere. Family had a great time. Edit: We go to Beertown once a month now. Wings are great!

Went to Beertown today with a friend, im new to eating gluten free and dairy free and was worried about going to a restaurant (thinking I was just going to have to have a plain salad with boring dressing). Well..... I was blown away, they have a whole gluten free and plant based menu. I talked to the server and told her what I was looking for, she was patient and kind in answering my questions. I ended up with the Pad Thai and it was so amazing and satisfying. Will be back for sure (they will get to know me by name soon)

Amazing food and patio!

I had lunch here today and this wasnt my first time here. The food is consistently amazing and I have to say the same about the service. The drinks are great, I had a muddled berry lemonaide and the southern fried chicken for lunch. CHEFS KISS!! Everything is perfect. I also noticed today as we ate on the patio, they are dog friendly! Not only dog friendly, but they come with a dog bed for dogs to lie on as well as their own fresh bowl of water! WoW!!!! This place is amazing. I almost want to go out and buy a dog just to come here! We will be back and thanks again for an amazing experience!!

Great drink selection and attentive staff. We were told there was a wait, but we were able to get a seat at the bar fairly easily. We were promptly greeted and served. Great place to go for drinks.

Food and service was great, we asked to be seated inside we were seated next to the door to go outside to the patio which was propped open for servers to go in and out, it was fine for a little bit until after dusk then mosquitoes started coming in through the door as it was still opened, I started to get bit by them on my legs multiple times, part of the reason we asked to be seated inside was so we wouldn t get bit by bugs, but be right next to the door same thing still happened. Maybe shutting the door once the sun starts to set and the bugs come out would be something to look into or putting one of those magnetic screen doors you can still walk through but the bugs can t get through.

Such a shame that the fryers do not have a dedicated gluten-free. The food is great but very limited now if you are gluten-free due to the cross-contamination worry.

Hunter was our server and she was awesome! Im also a server so Im extra picky about service and she was fantastic. We were having a celebratory lunch on the patio and she made our day. :)

I came in with my friend, who was older than me but didnt have her id, which I understand so she wasnt able to be served alcohol. She had a live photo of her ID but they said they were practicing safe service i understand that. What I dont understand is me asking for a drink and then turning me down because I didnt order any food.(I had multiple forms of ID). The server Amanda seemed like she would rather be anywhere else than working in this establishment. She was being very rude and judgemental. The rudeness and poor service is astonishing. If youre looking to have a good meal and a pleasant time, this is NOT the place.

Perfect service and yummy food that was vegan and soooo yummy!

Amazing place with amazing service and food . Have yet to try something that I was not satisfied with. My wife and I decided to go for a late supper on a Friday night, with my career as a project manager and all the flooding in Toronto as of late. I unfortunately had to deal with a new claim not only did Sam and the manager take the time to put my food back under the heat lamp but offered my wife am extra drink while she waited for me. Sam and the manager (unfortunately didnt get the name) went above and beyond on a already busy night. Thank you all so much will definitely be returning again.

Great spot with good food. Nothing wrong with the service; I d give it 4.5 stars if that was a choice. Its a busy spot so parking can fill up sometimes. Ate there on 05 May 2023 and 03 May 2024.

The place was packed on a Saturday afternoon, families, couples, friends out for drinks and a meal and, as a result, very, very noisy. Our party elected to sit out on the patio where it was a bit quieter due to its being less occupied. Our waitress was a very overeager young Ukrainian/Russian woman with a saccharine smile and rapacious desire to up-sell in order to get a higher tip. I got to order from the vegan menu (there is also a gluten-free menu) so kudos there. My selection was the chicken sandwich topped with chimichurri and arugula and served on a gluten-free artisanal bun (extra$). The bun was bland, untoasted so the sauce and arugula made it soggy. There was one measly, flaccid piece of cheese on it and neither the bun, the cheese nor the chicken were lined up so that I could get a good cohesive bite of all the components. The sandwich fell apart and was generally flavorless. Shouldve just had an order of the sweet potato fries which came as a side because they were the best I have ever had. Well seasoned, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. My sons Big Burger was huge but suffered from getting drenched being overloaded with pickles and a big, fat slice of wet tomato. The burger fell apart and he did not finish it. He ate all his fries though. My daughter enjoyed her Pork Belly sliders saying that the belly was tender however the sliders suffered from being overloaded with cilantro. Our waitress managed to get my daughter to purchase Parmesan fries with a truffle mayo as a side with the theory that the sliders may not be enough food. Trust me, the 3 sliders are ample and almost should not be listed under apps. My daughter could not finish her meal as a result of ordering the fries. All in all, an okay lunch but expensive considering the flaws.

Wonderful service from Alexx! She made sure our belated mothers day brunch was perfect. I was thrilled to see how far their vegan menus have come - there are so many good option! We will be back. :) Vegetarian options: Multiple vegan menus, including brunch!

This is one of my favourite restaurants to eat at . I love the selection of root beer. Unfortunately after today I m not sure I would go back with my family as when changing my daughter in the family washroom , I could barely reach the change table, I am under 5ft and the change able was just under my chin. This made it very difficult to change my daughter and I also felt it was un safe as how high it was with her on it.

Bar staff have either no interest in working or just ignorant. They are ripping customers off by filling one third of the gasses with a froughty head as the bar staff say , we are told to do that Service

For us, our daughter needs to eat Gluten Free and she generally never wants to go out to a restaurant because there is hardly ever anything she can eat that is Gluten Free. Here she could feel normal!.. with an amazing Gluten Free menu and Desserts we loved our meals as well.. super awesome family night out.. thank you for thinking of those who need to avoid Gluten!

I emailed Beertown in March regarding a possible visit in April. I inquired about their patio (if it would be open) and their policy regarding dogs. My kids (4), my husband and I wanted to meet at Beertown in Barrie for lunch. My daughter has a dog which would be with them, and they won t leave him in the car alone. So I wanted to check to see if he was welcome and what we could do, if the weather turned out to be rainy and cold. The same day as my email, I received a reply from Will Carscadden. He replied: patio is open as long as weather permits, it is not enclosed so it is open to the elements. We do have heaters hanging overhead about 14 feet above the patio so they do provide some heat but again weather permitting. We would love to have you join us for lunch so fingers crossed we get some nice weather during your visit to Barrie. I am a self proclaimed dog enthusiast so I hope to get to meet your 4 legged furry friend as well! Worst case scenario, if it is raining on your visit, I will make sure to have a chicken breast and some sweet potatoes delivered to the vehicle so our well behaved friend can also enjoy a meal! Will was very helpful and accommodating to us, which we greatly appreciated. The day, April 7th, was a picture perfect day! Sunny and warm! We all had a fantastic time, and the food was outstanding! Later that same day, Will followed up with me to make sure our day went well. Great customer service! Barrie is a really good central place for all of us to meet, so we ll be back again! Thanks so much for being so accommodating!

I guess I owe an explanation... The food got 2 stars but only my food. I havent eaten anything else besides the one dish. So, for that reason, I gave an extra star to be fair. I ate the Brisket Burger. It was soooo smoked, lol. It was on my breath and in my throat for the whole night. I only ate two bites and stopped. My friends and girlfriend said that youre crazy and that smoked is amazing. Ok, maybe it was just me, I thought. Then my girlfriend ate the rest and she said,I like smoked, but this, this is gross. I cant eat the rest, I get what you were saying now, The service got 2 stars because I was a bar tender and waiter before and if there was a list of top 10 things you dont do, one of them is you never serve a beer with 40% foam on it, no matter how busy you are. Our friend was served it and had to return it. The atmosphere got 4 stars because it was definitely nice. Especially the silver tiles above us with the extra edge work. I noticed. To get the 5th star for the atmosphere, theyd have to spend a little money for the tiny touches that make people talk about it when theyre not there. Cheers.

We booked 2 separate reservations 1/2 hour apart because our group was so large. The staff did a great job of accommodating us. We felt welcome & treated very well.

Favourite local go to for great food and drinks along with a decent atmosphere most of the time, the Nashville hot chicken sandwich always has me coming back! They even have many vegan options that accommodate individuals with food restrictions. It can get a little loud sometimes which makes it hard to hear people at your table, but regardless it should be expected in an open space. Dietary restrictions: Many vegan options.

Brewery has a ton of choices for drinks! Favorite was the Smuv sour though unfortunately is not on draft. The original hot dog was good as well as the artichoke dip. There were no tables available when we came in although the service at the bar was just as good. The girl at the bar was extremely nice and friendly. I did find it a bit pricy for take out beer.

My guy friend found this place and I think hes in love. He said this restaurant is amazing, and the patio was set up well, covinient to smokers or patrons wanting to leave and not entering the restaurant to do so. Amazing drinks,food, and friendly staff .thanks, guys!!! Parking: I drove around three times an found a spot at Wendys. All spots were filled until 8pm and then the lot started opening up with empties. Wheelchair accessibility: A few spots at front but not too many.

Wanton nachos is pretty good. Wagyu hotdog not so much.

Went to Beertown for a nice Mothers Day dinner and a cold beer. Im finally having a beer at home. What a gong show. In fairness, the food is always good. But sweet baby Jesus if I wanted ketchup for my fries, Id have better luck slitting my wrists to add some red colour to the golden potatoes than waiting for our server. If no F!#@s given was a job description, she nailed it! I contemplated reaching over the bar to pour my own beer, but thats generally frowned upon. Eventually a beer came after my kids finished their gallon of chocolate milk and the appetizers were being run (by food runners) to the table. This after I was told they were out of the beer I ordered, then some poor fella arrived with the beer I ordered, left with it as I informed him it couldnt be as I was told they were out, then re-arrived assuring me it was the beer I ordered...only to be told after that it indeed wasnt. A first taste confirmed this, but who to even talk to? Our server was deep undercover. Shortly after, the mains were run by runners. By the time we were all but done, the server asked if everything was ok and asked/told no desserts then? I really, really wanted a second beer to numb the pain, but alas it was not to be. To the waiter (not ours) who actually brought my beer...thank you! Youre a gentleman and it was appreciated. To our waitress....if attentiveness to patrons was as conscientious and prompt as the debit machine, you wouldnt have an old guy at home, drinking a cold Pieroni and wondering what the hell just happened. Id rather have handed my money to the homeless guy at the highway ramp and just had McDonalds. At least the kid at the counter would offer ketchup.

Had an absolutely wonderful dine in experience on the patio. Service was incredible. Our waitress Alexx went above and beyond and was by far responsible for many parts of the most stellar restaurant experiences. The food, was exceptional. It arrived in a timely fashion even during a fairly busy night. To go into detail about the individual dishes would take far too long. Too many amazing things about them. (We had, wonton nachos, bbq brisket burger, pad Thai linguine and sticky toffee desert, all excellent) The portion to value ratio Is nothing to complain about. It s just what you would expect from a reasonable restaurant. Once again, thank you to Alexx, and the rest of the incredible waitstaff. And most certainly the hardworking kitchen staff that deserve such thanks. Thank you for an excellent night!

Food was excellent. I would come back again. Fish tacos was amazing. They had a variety of beers and rootbeers. They had a flight of rootbeers to try out. Which is cool for those non-alcoholics.

I had the fish tacos ans and kale salad for lunch. It was delicious. The fish tacos were just perfect. A light delicious batter on the fish with a delicious sauce that compliments the taco. The salad was also delicious. The perfect combination with the tacos.

Went on a Sunday evening. Greeted immediately and seated as we had reservations. Amy was our server and she was fantastic. Took drink orders and explained the menu. Answered question about the various foods we ordered. Bbq brisket burger was top notch. Good size, great flavour. Ball park hot dog was huge ! Great toppings and again great flavour. Fried chicken was massive ! awesome batter. Calamari was very flavourful and fresh not frozen. Spinach pot with pretzel bread was crazy good. Overall the portion to value ratio was excellent. On a warm day or evening the patio with the beer selection plus outstanding menu is sure to please.

Bought 6 tall boys to take home and they charged me +$30 and asked for tip. Gouging their customers and the service is terrible. The staff is more interested in hanging out with each other than being attentive to customers willing to overpay for mediocre food and decent beer.

Food was excellent. Staff very friendly. Extensive menu. Lots of parking. Handicap parking at front door. Washrooms clean. Will be going back when I can sit out on their patio...

Food pricey but tastes good. Reminds me of Jack Astor vibes. Fish and chips are good and big for $21 and 2 pieces.

Food was very good,service was great. Only mild problems were they did not give the right order because there was a big group of us. Service staff were very friendly! Bathrooms were clean. I would also definitely recommend wonton nachos! Overall great place to stop in a grab a bite!

The beer selection is fantastic, the menu has the perfect range of diverse options, and everything tasted even better than expected. Amie was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. Also - I recently broke my knee & ankle, and the staff were so wonderful about accommodating my wheelchair. We cant say enough great things about this place! Wheelchair accessibility: We mentioned my injury/wheelchair over the phone and were met with the most pleasant & accommodating responses.

Ive been here a few times when traveling through Barrie, and Ive been to other locations. The product is consistent here always good service works a friendly attitude. Food is always out quick. If you dont know about beer town its a great concept for beer lovers but there is something for everyone.

Had a great experience that shows the high level service at this location specifically. Came to have some beers and food with a good friend. In the first 10 minutes, we had a waitress spill a beer on the table while attending to a very busy floor. Literally within 7 minutes, we were approached by other staff and then the manager helping and offering to comp anything on the menu we would like. Shout out to the team here Sam(host) Amie(server) and Scott(manager) . Thank you for going above and beyond. This is service and kindness at the highest level, in my opinion. CHEERS

I find it a bit overly crowded at this restaurant, but in saying that, they have an amazing menu and lots of plant based options. I have also used the food pickup service and never had an issue. I would definitely recommend going and plan to very soon

My favorite place to eat and watch a game. Its modern and trendy, but not pretentious. Interesting and fresh take on classic dishes, everything is bursting with flavor. Would recommend steak, southern chicken, fish & chips, desserts. Obviously, a fantastic selection of beers, but they also offer wine and liquor. Weekend staff deserves a special recognition. It gets busy and they keep up with the pressure. Thanks to Selena and the bar crew.

Asked for regular table vs a high one. Was told there was none available. Looking around the restaurant clearly there was plenty available. Food was mediocre but very expensive. Probably wont be back.

Great place to hang! Good atmosphere for a drink or for lunch/dinner. They have lots of options for Beers and Ciders on tap. Love the Chicken Pad Thai.

Disappointed. Waste of money coming today. Cold, dry, tough brisket. Everyone ordered it. No one finished it. Not coming back.
