Chuck's Roadhouse Bar & Grill in Barrie

The Roadhouse on Bayfield Street in Barrie had just enough room to accomodate our party of 24 guests. Great ambience inside as well as great food dishes! $4.25 drafts were bonus!

I came at the restaurant at 11:30 and the manager was not willing to serve us the food saying we were late. Very bad customer service. Food

Not the best experience with Chucks on a slow Monday night. Our staff got together for a staff party Monday night. We are all servers and restaurant staff so we always tip good and are very understanding and empathetic. When we walked in, we had to wait at the door for our whole party to arrive(there was 35 of us lol) and we called 2 hours in advance. In our experience, we get excited when we see a large profitable party walk in. We were treated like nuisances. They didnt work to try and get tables together for us in a timely manner so we could sit instead of clogging up the front door. Servers walked around rolling their eyes at us and giving us dirty looks. Other customers came in and stood at the door as well for long periods of time before anyone made their way over to even greet them. When we finally did get sat our tables were so far apart we couldnt talk or interact with the other half of our party. We moved our tables a little closer together, and had the owner rush out and get angry with us because we did so. Even though one table was already filled with half of our party, he didnt want the remainder of our party sitting down at the other table until everyone arrived? Again, theres 35 of us, so he wanted 10 people to stand in the middle of the restaurant until more arrived? The restaurant was dead so there was ample seating around the restaurant. Once all our staff had arrived and we were just trying to get everyone sat down and comfortable. The waitress that was assigned to us was visibly annoyed to have to serve us. She was short with her answers to us, rude, rolled here eyes multiple times at us, made comments about how annoying we were to her. Our drinks took forever to even get to the table. Some of us wanted appetizers, others didnt so she was visibly rude and frustrated towards some of us who accidently wanted to order main dishes. I ordered a spinach dip with my meal and never got it. Waited for 20 minutes between drinks to make it to the table. She was not attentive to us at all, some of us needed cutlery, refills on drinks, containers, and she was nowhere to be found. The owner stood at the doorway of the kitchen staring and shaking his head at us the entire time we were there? Because a big party on a slow night at chucks is annoying to this staff apparently. Naturally everyone felt uncomfortable, to a point where we were even afraid to ask the server for anything. We had to run after a server to get our bills, after waiting 30 minutes after we asked our server. The server we managed to flag down was also annoyed and rude for us even asking. The whole atmosphere from the staff was cold and unwelcoming. Food was mediocre at best as well. Again, this party was a restaurant staff party so the rude atmosphere, unwelcoming comments and looks from the servers and the owner was very obvious to us. With 35 of us all eating and drinking, the owner should have been happy to serve us and make us feel welcome. We felt the opposite. We were all appalled how terrible the service was here. I dont even want to give 1 star on the atmosphere, food and service. Terrible first time experience for us and we wont be recommending. Do better Chucks!

Our waitress Felicity was TERRIBLE love this place but she was horrendous. Forgot food told us we had an in paid drink. She then watched a man stumble out drunk get in his car, we mentioned he should not be driving she then told us he was fine not even drunk! Won t be coming back unfortunately I d rather pay for my overpriced beer and food then save a couple bucks. We complained to the manager after about the drunk man and she said she noticed and will be contacting police.

I recently visited Chuck s with some friends and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience, largely due to the behavior of our server, Felicity. While the host and managers were very kind, the service we received was far from what I ve come to expect. I m a regular at Chuck s, but this time the experience was frustrating from the start. When we first arrived, Felicity was noticeably short and snippy with us. I tried to politely get her attention, but when I waved her down, she acknowledged me and then proceeded to the host stand, where she and other servers played a childish game of not it, clearly ignoring our table. This set a negative tone for the night. As we placed our order, she continued to be rude, rolling her eyes, sighing, and displaying other unprofessional behaviors. At the end of the meal, she became increasingly argumentative when we mentioned an extra beer that none of us had ordered. She refused to believe us, despite our assurances. Additionally, we had informed her earlier about a man who had made us uncomfortable due to his obvious intoxication and erratic behavior, including falling in the parking lot. Felicity dismissed our concerns, claiming he was absolutely sober. Not long after, he got into his truck and drove off. This was an extremely frustrating experience, and while I ve always enjoyed Chuck s, this interaction was a major letdown. I hope the management will address these issues, as I know the restaurant has the potential for much better service.

After being served this evening by Danielle me and my group of friends have decided Chucks is our new favourite restaurant. The service was amazing, Danielle made the experience so serenely enjoyable. It s hard to find a genuinely nice and engaged server, Danielle checked all of our boxes tonight. When speaking to others about a place to eat, I will definitely recommend Chucks and to request Danielle as a server

Overall, my time at Chucks was made even better by Danielle excellent service. I will definitely return and hope to be seated in her section again!

The service at Chucks tonight was awesome, Danielle was our server and really made tonight more enjoyable. It was our last night out before going back from college and it couldn t have been better without Danielle.

In the past when they first opened Chucks Roadhouse has been a bit hit & miss a love/hate relationship. But lately, its been awesome! Cant beat the $ 4 beers & Im a big cheerleader of the steaks. I got to have a steak 3x a week. I prefer the 12oz Rib-eye or the 20oz Porterhouse... Its sooooo good. Cooked to perfection every time (except @ really busy times Fri or Sat after 9pm is a madhouse in there). The beers are a decent pour, maybe a bit shy but what do you expect for $ 4 (noon until 5pm daily). I only wish they had a location closer to my home, like less than 500m away lol. I would have my mail sent there, Id be there daily...

I recently visited Chuck Barrie on Bayfield with a friend, and it was a truly disappointing experience. The service was absolutely awful. After having just two drinks and two shots over the span of three hours, we were suddenly cut off without any explanation. It felt completely unfair and unnecessary, especially since we were being responsible and taking our time. To make matters worse, we had to wait an absurd 40 minutes just to get our second round of drinks and we had to call the server over. The staff seemed uninterested and inattentive, and the whole vibe felt unfriendly. Its not like we were rowdy or causing trouble as we were just chatting and trying to have a good laugh; it was just an incredibly frustrating experience.

Absolute worst service I ve ever had. Took more than 30 mins to get water, took an hour and a half to get our steaks and when it came it wasn t hot, sent it back and the steaks were way over-charred. The only good thing on the plate was the canned corn. Took over a half hour to get new drinks once ordered and there was no looking after by the waiter. Do not come here.

Today we were a party of 15, (7 kids aged 4-10). They went out of their way to accommodate us & the restaurant was pretty full. After getting us all sorted out they made sure the adults had their drinks & kids got their colouring and food fast. We all enjoyed our meals & the server was amazing. I wish I still had our receipt with her name. 2pm Sunday Nov.24th party of 15. Thank you. We ll be back. If you have a large group & young kids, Chucks in Barrie is a great place!

Chucks roadhouse in barrie. I Ordered medium rare steak had to send back in kitchen came back out rare still. They also sent out Ceasar salad without dresssing. Complained and manager wouldnt come out and deal with guests I was billed the full amount. Waitress never came once to see if everything was ok after. Dont recommend this chucks poor service poor cooking skills in the kitchen

Went in Nov 10 to watch the Steelers game with my brother....it wasnt on any of the many TVs.....I asked the bartender if she could put the Steelers game on a tv. She said that the owner had selected which games were on and she couldnt change any TVs. So I met my brother at Kelseys and watched the Steelers win

Went a few months ago to help friends with haying. On our return from Newmarket we had stopped at this location for a couple beers and was the first time ever trying to Chucks nachos its become a regular favorite.

Been a couple times now. Usually always a good experience. Love the 1/2 price apps after 9pm.

Fun time as always at Chucks. Dave is one of the best servers around. Excellent service, attention to detail, and a wonderful guy! Highly recommend Chucks on Bayview! Kid-friendliness: Brought our baby and there is lots of room to have the stroller without being in the way.

The 3 stars for service isnt for our servers, these ladies were great but over capacity and under staffed. These girls were very polite and extremely tentive when they had the time. Food was great. Onion rings are one of my faves. We sat outside, and even after the manager closed the patio, we werent asked to come in, we were allowed to remain outside enjoying the evening.

Me and my friends had a fantastic experience at Chucks, thanks to Daves exceptional service. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure that we had everything we needed. His recommendations were spot-on, and he made the entire visit enjoyable. I left feeling valued as a customer and will definitely be returning!

A couple friends and I went here for dinner. I was very let down at this location, food it was OK but portion size was terrible. As for the upgrade side to mashed potatoes for $1.99. We both received 2 Bites. Im sure we got a half potatoes worth between us. The waitress seemed to be overwhelmed with her 4 tables. Had a much better experience at the Ajax location portions are good. Considering there is a Honest to goodness tax on the bill. Our food portions shouldve been much better. I dont recommend the Barrie location.

So we were group of 3 friends and went on Saturday night to have dinner and the experience with the service was absolutely terrible and this is the second time with the same server. Completely inconsiderate and not even paying attention to customers. When putting the plates and drinks on the table she just put everything on one single corner without even telling us; when it was time to pay the machine didn t worked first time so we asked her to try payment again and shockingly our bill went from 51 to $59 magically, we would have paid if we didn t noticed it. When we asked her again to do that she just threw the card machine on the table. Absolutely worst service I ve ever seen.

Disappointing Experience Poor Customer Service and Uncomfortable Atmosphere I had a very disappointing experience at Chuck s Roadhouse Bar and Grill. Atmosphere feels like a cafeteria. Service last eve was terrible. Waitress plops drink menu down. Doesnt come back for 20 min. Asks the people at the table to pass her the empty glasses mid way. Offered one half of the table drinks, while forgetting to ask my husband and I. (There were 10 of us) Complained that She was over it! Because she just jad a table of 30 when asked how her night was going. Didnt check back to see how the food was. Before we knew it, the rest of the table had bills coming and we were still waiting for her to get my husband and I 2nd drink. Steaks were over cooked and no oasjed how they were. Horrible. We were waiting 1h 10min after we placed our order for it to arrive before we asked for the bill for our drinks(table of 6 no apps). We were told our food was coming while watching multiple other tables, that came in after us, order and get served. The manager came out and got confrontational with us before kicking us out. Beer and pop was cold but still had to wait over 15min for that. Thank God Swiss Chalet was next door and we were all served in under 15min. You need to adequately staff your kitchen and give your servers paid time off if you going to use the loss of a family member as an excuse as to why we waited so long. DO BETTER!

Came to chucks with a few friends tonight. Waited over an hour for our food for the server to then tell us it would be another 10 minutes until our food was ready. That ours was a big order it was 6 people lol not a big chit by any standard but ok. Another 20 min we still dont have food or an explanation as to why its taking so long. We decided we wanted to leave and our friend let the server know we just wanted to pay for our drinks and leave . We couldnt find the server so I asked for a manager. I asked him what the problem was tonight and he so arrogantly sat down at our table to try and argue with me im.not sure where this manager comes from but unless you are invited... sitting down at someone elses table is considered very rude. He then looked at my husband and told him he better not yell at the server and that shes having a bad day. My husband never spoke to any server and was sitting at the table the whole time. My wife and I have been going to chucks for random date nights since it opened and the experience is usually pretty good. We went today and had a newer server (tonya) and she was definitely one of our favorite that we have had. She was always attentive and made us feel very welcome when she came to the table. We will definitely be going back and hopefully get her has a server she definitely brought it up to a 5 star experience.

We had Tonya as a server and despite it being her second shift there, was an absolute ray of sunshine. It was a surprise to us that she had only been working there a short while. She was very friendly and attentive and we enjoyed the little conversations we had throughout dinner. Would 100% recommend having her as your server! Thank you Tonya for being so sweet!

Ive eaten at many Chucks with no complaints. But this one was the worst food ever. I ordered a burger and fries. The burger was so dry I had to smother it with mayonnaise to make it edible. And the fries tasted like they had been sitting around for a while. I was on a lunch break so pretty much had no other choice but to start eating, because our waitress was nowhere in sight. . By the time the waitress showed up again I was halfway through the burger and hadnt touched but one fry. I told her about my concerns and she only offered to replace the fries. When she returned it was pretty clear that all they did was take the fries that were sent back, redunk them in the fryer and send them out to me again. Nastier than they were the first time. Anyway I will not be returning to this Chucks Roadhouse.

When we arrived, we were told it would be about a 15 minute wait time. We said no problem. We were given a buzzer pager and we waited outside. 30 minutes later, we go in because we see a steady stream of people going in but no crowd. We ask how much longer and we are told another 45 minutes. Where did all those people who have been arriving for 30 minutes go? How xan you go from 15 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes. All those other people had been seated and now we had to wait for THEM to eat? Garbage service, Garbage management and garbage front staff management! We ended up leaving.

My husband and I have been here a few times since moving back to Barrie last year. We generally try to go after 9pm for the 1/2 price appetizers, that way we can enjoy an assortment for a really great price. The last time we went (a couple of weeks ago), my husband asked our server to pick a mixed drink of her choosing, when she came back to the table she said she picked her favourite and she hoped he would enjoy it. He certainly did! Our server was attentive and friendly and seemed very grateful for her tip, even verifying with us that we meant to tip that much. Excellent food and excellent service will always warrant a great tip :) We also have no problem with the Honest to Goodness tax that we are charged. Its noted several times in the menu and I believe its on the wall in the restaurant as well. If youre surprised when you get your bill, you really shouldnt be. We have only ever had one issue since coming to this location and our server took care of it right away. Thats why Chucks gets 5 stars

Reasonable prices, tasty food but the customer service is lacking, they may get your order wrong and take forever to serve you. We came a second time.september 14, Saturday, it was 2pm. The place is empty, we set down and waited 10 min, waitresses passed me and no one would acknowledge me. I finally flagged down and waitttess and asked to be served. The customer service is crap. If you expect to be seated and at least get ur drinks this is not the place.

I just moved to the neighbourhood and had the pleasure of having Dave as my server, he was super attentive and talkative the entire time! Such a joy to be around, I will definitely be coming back and look forward to seeing him again in the future!

Great food and service and price

Never tried Chucks before so wanted to give it a try. Food was unfortunately very mediocre, but I guess that makes sense with the price. We got the surf and turf, our steak temperatures were all overcooked even though we asked for medium rare. The lobster was chewy. The chicken wings were tiny and under sauced.The atmosphere and service was good, but the food isn t something I d go back for.

Our previous experience was Chucks in St. Catherines. The food and service there were much better than this location. Service was friendly but extremely slow, even though the place wasnt busy. We ordered the sirloin tip steak and it was a bit chewy.

Good experience. They make a pretty good philly cheesesteak with roast beef and bbq sauce.different but tasty.

The food was delicious, everyone was happy with what they ordered. Kid-friendliness: They asked if we wanted patio, bar or restaurant. I ask my kiddo, and they chose the patio. Once on the patio, they asked my kiddo if they wanted to pick our table.

This was my first time eating at a Chucks Roadhouse. We were traveling and saw the restaurant and decided to have a meal. Im very glad we did. The server was great, she was friendly, fast and efficient. I had the steak and baked potato. The steak was tasty, tender and cooked the way I had asked for it We received plenty to eat at a moderate price I definitely will return. Parking: Parking for this Chucks restaurant is on the street. We visited the restaurant in the evening so parking nearby was easy and free.

We placed an order, and when we arrived they made us wait longer than the time agreed upon by phone. When we entered they looked us up and down, we waited about 20 minutes. I had to call my husband and when he arrived there was a change of attitude and they delivered the order. It is a bad service and I do not recommend it. No one is better than anyone else. It does not matter where you are from. I am from Colombia. Very racist.

Terrible food over priced with lackluster service. Undeniably a waste of money and time, cook at home and enjoy better food for half the price.

Really disappointed experience, we order nachos, wings and flatbreads, food was cold , server forgot to serve us , we remind her and she served us cold food and she was really rude . We asked her for drinking water , again she forgot and after asking 3 times she gave us a glass filled with ice cubes. It was really bad experience.

One of the worst experiences I ve had for an outing. Waited over 20 mins for each drink. Food was sent back as my burger was pure black and the driest thing I ve ever eaten. The only good thing about my time there was the people and camaraderie watching the game!

Service at the BAR Sucks to the point of being -ve particularly when Cauta(Kausta) and Gabriel are the servers It is MY Honest request to the owner to look at the camera and talk to Cauta - twice today and another day I was sitting there without a drink for minutes like 15 minutes When Causta asked me then I said Its about time you ask me - it been almost 15 minutes he sais you had enough (I hade only 2 pints) and NEVER Come back I spend like 30 to 40 a day TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE

Went in to the Barrie location last night for a friends birthday. Wasnt busy and yet they still tried to separate our group. We were finally sat after waiting almost 15 minutes. Sat us right under the A/C unit blowing straight down at the table. The whole time there we were freezing. After sitting for almost 20 minutes we finally had a server come take our drink order. Took almost 15 minutes for the drinks to arrive. Server didnt even set the drinks down to each person. Just passed them down the table. Then our server disappeared for another almost 20 minutes before finally coming back to take our food order. Then we waited 51 minutes for the food to show up at the table. The food was so dry and overcooked like it was sitting under the heat lamp for half an hour. We had also ordered and appetizer which actually showed up after our food lol. Was the worst bruschetta I have ever had in my life. Bread was soggy and no flavor. Just tomatoes and sauce nothing else. While sitting at our table a server dropped an entire drink down the back of one of the people at our table. Said he would be right back to clean it up. Instead he went and re poured said drink and delivered it to the table first as the person was soaked in iced tea. Never once did the server return to the table to check on us. We had to constantly find her to call her over for anything. All while this was going on you had the manager just sitting at a table on his phone ignoring the whole restaurant. Never will I be returning to this restaurant. Head office needs to look into the lack of care taken in this location. Its sad to see this happening as I have worked in the restaurant industry for over 20 years. This is the worst service and food that I have eaten at a restaurant in many years. I dont see this place succeeding in Barrie the way its run now. You get what you pay for here. Nothing worth raving about at all.

Great food and reasonable

Chucks has become one of my favourite go-to restaurants because the quality and taste of the food is consistently good. Its never been a hit or miss type place. The staff is friendly and the prices are very affordable. Yeah, they add the little extra fee to help keep their prices down and thats fine by me for the value so far. I took a star off for atmosphere just because it it tends to sound a little loud at times; probably just the acoustics.

I ve enjoyed nice meals at other Chuck s locations and do not remember any complaints.. But our visit to this location was incredibly underwhelming. I ordered a Southwest Salad and it was extremely poorly executed. Only half the salad had a substantial amount of dressing. The proportions were way off. It was mostly just lettuce with a few broken tortilla chips and some small amount of corn and what not. To call the chicken grilled was a stretch. Also to call it a Southwest Salad is a stretch. It seemed really off and not appetizing. I left hungry I couldn t even eat half of it. I will not return.

I never turn down a good steak, have been to chucks before and was excited to come back. This new location however was horrible. The chicken was dry. The steak wasn t as asked for. The lobster tasted like a fishy rock. Then the honest to goodness fee. Well honest to God this was the worst steak of my life. Might even go as far as saying the worst food i ve ever payed for. So disappointing. Had to speak with the manager who instead of listening went on and on about how they haven t changed the prices in years compared to others. Would prefer you change the price and i get a decent steak. Do better. We did tip the waiter however whom was a complete sweetheart.

I went to a Chucks 5 years ago. Service food was terrible. Had a friend visiting wanted to go there. After 5 years, the service at this one was good. We ordered a porterhouse medium, sirloin medium with lobster, and a half chicken. Porterhouse was in my opinion not AAA way too many nerves and the cook not medium but RARE. The half chicken and sirloin were dry and the lobster not even sure what they cooked there. Management at Chucks does nothing head office as well does nothing. Which leads me to believe that they dont care, too many suckers will go there. The response from the owner this time as well as last time from a different Chucks. FIVE YEARS AGO! Is the same. They did nothing then when we sent back a steak. 3 TIMES! and ruined our whole evening completely is the same and that time I sent a picture of my bill. They did nothing at all then, so I am not wasting my time. I will just make sure everyone I know, knows what Chucks is all about.

Service sucked

We have always been a fan of this location until Adam left. Now? Everything we ordered was over cooked. The bruschetta was crispy the steak bites were leather and the calamari was rubber, heck even the spinach dip tasted off. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar hoping on prompt service but boy was that the opposite. We sat for nearly 35 minutes with empty glasses as 3 bartenders walked past us 8-10 times without offering another drink. But helping the larger group at the end of the bar. Really sad to say but this will be our last time revisiting this location. Please hire more LOCAL experienced employees. And maybe tell the kitchen to stop favoring their oven so much.

Last week, I ordered a medium well steak with mushroom sauce, but the steak came dry and over cooked and with a burned and awful mushroom.I sent the steak back but they came back we had finished eating everything else, they didnt bring a fresh sauce but they removed it from my bill. At the end the waitress was staring at the machine to be sure I pay a proper tip, it was awkward situation. I wanted to try my second chance at Chucks last night. There were at least five tables available but the waitress offered us two tables close to the washroom. I asked her another table but she got upset and threw the menus on the tables. My husband and I left Chucks immediately. We didnt want the waitress to ruin our night. She was rude. Im so sorry to sayFarewell Chucks Barrie

Food was fine. Service was fine. Everything just a little off, and too many small mistakes. Everyone working seemed a little rude, overwhelmed and unassisted by management. Didnt see any managers anywhere....edit... And sheee goneeeee. Awful service again. No one cares. Peace out. .....Tried one more time to have dinner here. Sweet Jesus. Never had dinner. Made Dinner at home. What in sweet holy hell is the point of this restaurant. At this point just sell beer and be done with it.

Good food, good prices but always understaffed.

Our server was very nice, no complaints about her. Our started was the strangest bruschetta we have ever had, Im not sure of the what kind of sauce that was on it but it was not bruschetta. I ordered a porterhouse steak, it was way over cooked, it tasted like it was cooked on a dirty grill and was 1/2 inch thick. My wife had the Philly cheese steak, the bun could not have been burnt more. We didnt make a big deal. I received a $11 discount on my $80 horrible meal. I would not recommend chucks.

Arrived at 5:20 PM and at about 5:28 PM Taylor took orders for my Mom and me. 15 minutes later another girl delivered our food and confirmed our orders were as expected. I watched as Taylor fervently served numerous tables, I think I counted 7 tables and she made time to follow-up with all her tables! Kudos to Taylor and the Manager/Coach over this impressive play/plays!

We went for dinner for my sons big celebration and he chose chucks We had drinks, appetizers, dinners, and dessert. A correction needed to be made on the bill, and the manager John came to our table. He actually sat down in our booth to argue with me about the bill. I shared that he was embarrassing us while he was arguing and was ruining my sons celebration, and he said, Youre the one still carrying on, while he sat next to my 10 year old son being confrontational. We never asked him to sit with us, and he wasnt welcome to do so. My son was so upset and uncomfortable with his behavior he turned his entire body (please review your cameras to see how this managers body language was as I wasnt aware intimidating children was a part of the chuck experience!) He never corrected the bill and got up from our table to send the waitress back with our bill. He was rude, unprofessional and tried to be intimidating to our table the entire time with a child present. I will be following up with the head office. Chucks was probably decent when it first opened. The food is cheap but the quality matches the price. It wouldve been our last choice but our 10 year old chose the place for his big celebration. Right after the manager was angry st our table my son ran to the washroom and after we left my sons stomach was in knots from the way the man behaved next to him. My son was upset that he didnt protect or defend the behavior of the employee and a child at 10 years old should never be made to feel that way after being in a restaurant. Im disgusted and disappointed.

Tried to go there for my daughters birthday. It was so noisy you had to yell to be heard. No walls or buffers to deadening the sound. Upon entry we asked for a booth to try to be a bit quieter, but were told we we too big to fit in a booth. We are not small people, but by no means are we huge either. My hubby took it as in insult as the booth would have seated the 5 of us just fine. Ended up using the bathroom and going to a competitor where the booth table was smaller, but 5 of us fit just fine. Not a good experience.

Really good food, great service and prices I havent seen in 20 years. Had the Filet and lobster for $35.... cant make it at home for that fee! Food : 4/5

We both had the steak and lobster dinner with sweet potato fries and a side order of mushrooms. The meal was delicious Heather, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Pretty noisy place but the food and prices are excellent!

Weren t acknowledged for 15 minutes. 4 staff members on for only 10 people on the bar side, and maybe 3 tables for dine in. The prices aren t worth the zero service you get. For a franchise they should train their staff better. Embarrassing for all Chucks.

We come for wings every week, love the place but hugely under staffed, wait times for a drink are crazy. Dont even want to see what its going to be like during patio season.

Didn t get to eat or enjoyed. Instead I now have a load of laundry and I m in need of a car detailing company to clean beer out of my seats. The waitress dumped beer on us. Where do I send the invoice?

We go in every Friday night after 9 for appetizers and drinks. Emily is always our waitress and she is super friendly, personable, attentive and hardworking. Emily makes the Chucks experience x10 better!

We started coming here last summer. Love the atmosphere. The people that work here. The food prices are great! Special shout out to Cole who served us tonight and was extremely friendly. Didn t forget about us, but also didn t come around too often. It was a nice balance. We will be asking for Cole when we come again! Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible spots and no stairs going into restaurant. Washrooms have no stairs either

Half price apps after 9pm great food & drink

Food was good and service was good as well. I paid the bill and gave a tip and left. When I got home and was putting the bill into my computer, I noticed a Honest and Goodness fee of 3%. Good grief, are you kidding me? This is going too far. The consumer is being taken advantage of. I want to know what this fee is, and why was I not informed of it before they gave me choices for tips on their machine. I feel that I was taken advantage of. So diners beware of Chucks Roadhouse bills for their unmentioned charge.

It s very loud but the food is good!

Economical and satisfying. The bread pudding or carrot cake are yummy. I usually get steak and lobster. The shrimp or steak bite appetizers are my go to. Strawberry salad is a fave as well. Very friendly staff.

A surprisingly inexpensive restaurant, offering the expected roadhouse fare. Lots of deals to be had, though they do add on 3% to your bill, which is explained fully in their menu.

As usual the food and service was amazing. This is our go to place when eating out in Barrie

Food was mediocre - wings came out soggy and clearly cooked too far in advance of the other food. Sandwiches were a big meh . Figured bar food would have been an easy win here but they are missing the mark on basic stuff. Washrooms were disgusting - literal fly clouds in the stalls and filthy anywhere you would need to use. Wasn t busy so we left feeling really underwhelmed by the whole experience. Would not recommend or revisit.

Been to Chucks half dozen times & all visits were very good. Food is pub-grub, hot & good with fast service. The atmosphere top notch, new, clean, large space with 20 foot TVs, serious sports bar for baseball, golf, foot ball et al. I think its a top 3 pub restaurant in Barrie. For a 3.7 Star joint it full all the time.

You guys would get a five star but one BIG and I mean BIG problem is I have never seen so many fruit flies in a restaurant in my life. We sat at the bar and you could actually see them all on the pipe that the draft get poorer from and all over the the corner were the lemon and limes and such are. Clearly cleaning is an issue for your staff or something is rotting somewhere in that area have it addressed before it gets worse.

This was our first time at chucks roadhouse and it was disappointing. The lobster had a strange taste and it was very fishy. The chicken was very dry. The fries were not good. The mashed potatoes were gross, they tasted like watery instant mash potatoes. The drinks were cheap so thats a positive.

Ive tried calling 10 times to place an order and nobody answers their phone. Thats atrocious. Service : 1/5

This bar is made to go for apps and drinks because of the great cheap prices. Do not go here expecting a 5 star meal and then complain. Visit to the restaurant was fine, it s very busy here though we were able to get a table almost right away. The service was a bit slow but not that big of a deal. Otherwise I already knew what I was coming here for, once again great prices for a quick bite with a drink.

Had a bad experience. We just went there for a drink. It was 12.15. Its said they close at 1.00 on fridays. Server said they closed the kitchen. We asked whether we get drinks. Bar should be open. She said bar is also closed. People are still sitting there for having food and didnt even start to eat. I really felt bad because this is the 3rd time they are doing this. We they dont want to work close the restaurent early.

Cheapest place for domestic beer in the city all day long. That alone gets a 4 star rating from me. Especially when other places are almost double. If the wait staff was a little more attentive I would have given 5 stars. Chucks is well worth checking out.

I had to go pick up my drinks myself at the bar, waitress forgot about them. Just sat there for 10 minutes, Then ordered fries. Yes, just fries, took 35 minutes when I said I was in a rush. Bar wasn t even busy! No one seemed to care. Staff just talks to each other, doesn t care about the customers. Won t be back.

I always wanted to try Chucks Roadhouse, and I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is great, the service is great and the prices are great for the amount of food you get! You must try this place. I guarantee you will not leave hungry.

It was great. It is near my house and the prices are good.

Horrible service . Stood in line and while the host was cleaning our booth a table of 4 already sitting with drinks . Got up and walked to our booth and then they offered us their original table . Or we could continue to wait for a booth to open up . Clearly you can take whatever table you want and move around when better options become available .

Bar tender lady obviously tweaking on on crack breaking glasses, hire better staff

It s really worst place ever specially this location. I have been a customer from last 1.5 years there and as a Indian the short guy costa who started judging me and he is a resist for really who declined to serve more than 3 drinks even i was good, he is such a mean guy to everyone.

The atmosphere was similar to the other chain restaurants. Large tv and lots of noise from conversations. The food was OK. Service and staff were on point.

Visited Chucks today for lunch with my girlfriend, and I can say its not too bad of a place to stop in for a bite. The prices are decent, BUT.... 1) Food is good, but there needs to be more fries in the basket with burgers/sandwiches. There was a lot less than youd get at other restaurants. Service is also basic. Not many happy employees to be found, and everyone has long faces 2) The 3% Honest To Goodness charge on the bill is complete nonsense, and thats why this review is just barely 2-stars. Why this wouldnt be built into the price of the meal instead makes little sense. Finding an extra charge on the bill isnt fun at all. 3) There was a lot of hype to visit Chucks, and the commercials make it look good, but I dont think well be back. Barrie has a LOT of options....

We attend your establishment on Friday Mar 8 2024 at approx 730 pm . normally when you order appetizers they come out before your meal not after We have been coming to the establishment at least 2 x per month and this was the worst time ever ,, yes the waitress said she was new, but that should never be an excuse , There should have been a experienced waitress shadowing her to ensure that she was doing her job correctly ,,, the food was not hot either ,, it was luke warm at best ,, the chicken parm was put under a salamander to melt the cheese but it dried out the pasta ,,, not the best meal we have had at chucks .....It will be a long time before we return if we return at all

The waitress we had was fantastic !! She was so attentive. Place is known for cheap booze and food prices. Did not eat here today , but stopped by for a drink. The waitress passed messages between me and a fellow pilot. It was a hoot and end of a nice day. Accommodation was her middle name. P.S. waitresses name was Emily

I was less than impressed with the Barrie location. The hostess was not welcoming and seemed annoyed at the mere fact people were coming into dine. Her annoyed questioning to eat in the bar vs dining then asking booth or table was the only script she knew. Working years in the restaurant industry she is not the face of welcoming and her interaction made me regret picking this location for dinner. Once we were sat at a booth as requested for 5 people, I asked to add chair to the end as the booth was tight for for the 5 of us. A flat answer of no followed by dropping g the menus and walking away is all we got. We have been to chucks in various cities and were extremely disappointed with the Barrie location. The food was not great. I ordered the quarter chicken which was extremely dry. Miss what this location used to be. We will not return to this restaurant.

Service was good, waitress seemed a little sad like she was having a rough night so we tipped almost 40$ even though the food was honestly gross. Ordered the Philly cheese whatever you call that but definitely wasn t what I expected, burnt so didnt eat the bread, pretty sure it was supposed to have green peppers and sautéed onions/mushrooms but only found 1 piece of onion and three big chunky raw mushrooms. Won t be back.

Good for roadhouse diner . Bartender is good but also does tables which makes her busier.

I really enjoyed this place, big portions and reasonable prices. Get the loaded fries. Make sure you tell them how you like your burgers, the cook tonight likes his medium rare.

You got 10 screens playing the same hockey game when there other sports event also happening and you can t accommodate and putting one of the tvs to a different game !!!.
