Matt served our party this morning. He asked us to leave a review so here you go. Food was awesome and he was great with our kids. We shall be back.

Restaurant was pretty much empty, we got sat at a table beside the window looking in to the mall. The windows were disgusting, covered in greasy hand prints and kid s face prints. There were 5-6 huge flies that were flying all around the windows and our table. There were fruit flies IN the syrup bottle which was on the table. We couldn t find our server so we just moved over to a different table. When she finally came over and we explained the situation to her she said ok and didn t seem to care. She didn t even take the syrup bottle with the fly in it off the table!!!! As we were trying to decide whether to stay and eat our food came out. Everything except my pancakes was cold. Like very cold. The cheese in my omelette was solid, not melted. There was no sign of our waitress so we just ate. When she finally came by and I said the food was cold she said oh ok and asked if we wanted anything else. We just asked for the bill and then waited for 10 minutes before we had to ask again. The bill was $62 for two breakfasts and two drinks. Absolutely not worth it. When we left, the SERVER STILL HAD NOT TAKEN THE SYRUP BOTTLE WITH THE FLIES IN IT OFF THE OTHER TABLE!!! don t eat here, we never will again. If the dining room is like this, imagine the kitchen :(

Food was really mediocre and for the price it was disappointing. There are a lot of other breakfast diners in the area that are more reasonably priced and much better quality. Would not recommend unfortunately.

Didnt have half the items we ordered off their menu, but their french toast was great. My family and I were really excited for a new breakfast spot, but this son be it.

They stopped doing the birthday grand slam but you do get $15 off your meal now which is great! I got the Pumpkin Peacan Slam ($17.29) and replaced the pumpkin frosting with cheesecake frosting. Food was really tasty and came out fast. The hash browns are really crispy just the way I like them. Excellent service on a Saturday afternoon.

Well I have to update my good review from last time...this place has been hit and miss from the start but today is the end. Although last visit Rohit was very good (wish he was there today) the review I had posted was because they were offering a 10% discount if you left a good review. Lol That day was good. Today however today was a totally different story. I generally always have the same thing...the country fried steak and eggs. Also, every time I go they give me the seniors price for the Country Fried Steak dinner but instead of the soup/salad, dinner roll and dinner sides I just get the eggs, homefries and toast...the breakfast version ...have been doing that every few weeks for a year now. Today was different....after waiting in the near empty restaurant to be seated...then waited to even be acknowledged, I ordered a coffee and my usual...CFS and eggs. But this time was told no, we dont do that....but you have every other time I have been here? No sorry we dont do that...I told her she was the first person ever to tell me that.......Ive been coming here since it opened about a year ago. Short story long, she wouldnt do that so I left to go to one of the several other good breakfast places on Bayfield st. Its no wonder this place is always empty...the service stinks more often than not and the staff just doesnt seem to know what is going on. Very sad as Denys is my favorite go to breakfast place...even like the late night dinner options but not this location. Unless they get some new owners in here my prediction is it will be closed in a year. Very very sad...so yeah...I must retract my previous review that really was only posted because they offer a discount to customers that do...keep that in mind when reading the good comments below...they were bribed! Very sad state of affairs at the Bayfield location...better off driving to Vaughan if you want a good Dennys experience because this location is the absolute worst. So sad as it opened right around the corner from me and I was totally thrilled....now I am just heartbroken. .

Sad and drab place, took forever to take our order and then found hair in my food!

September 22, First and last time at a Dennys. My boyfriend and I went out for breakfast, which we never do... Between the two of us: 4 eggs, 4 pieces of bacon 2 sausages 2 half cooked falling apart hashbrowns and 2 (4slices) toast with 1 tea and 1 coffee....... $45 WTF... I realize you cant get a $8 breakfast anymore, but seriously. Surely disgusted. Never again. I work in a place with over 500 people and when a topic of food comes up I am Surely not going to recommend Denny and tell my story. I am not a person that sugar-coats things either. And at those prices the poor girl missed out on any chance for a tip.

Worst diner I have been in. Pricey and they run out of supplies. My friend and I went there for lunch last week. I ordered grill cheese and tomato soup. They had no tomato soup so substituted fruit which was a mess. Some it should never have been served. The size of the bread for a cheese sandwich was smaller than my hand. There were 2 of us but only 2 set of utensils brought to the table. The waitress did not seem to know what she was doing. My friend had to bring part of her lunch home and they no containers except for a bottom no top cover. Very pricey restaurant. Would not recommend to anyone.

Not how Denny s use to be. Ate there for Labour Day and the portions was not how it use to be. Years back I would struggled to finish an order, with left over food to go. Now I finished my part and still starving. Spent over $90 for 2 adults and an 11 years old. All of us still starving at the end .if I can give a negative 10 I would

Open when? Signs say 6am, and I imagine youd have to have somebody there at 530 to make coffee and warm up the grill. Off to McDonalds I go!

Was very disorganized. But being new its a nice clean atmosphere. Went back today only because my daughter wanted to get her free breakfast. Was awful food. Server was nice enough. But everything tasted gross. Except the pancakes. And its not that clean anymore already.oh o would like to add there were eyelashes in my daughters meal and I feel as if the server didnt even believe us hi only gave her a little more bacon. I will never ever go back to Dennys.

Its been years since Ive been to a Dennys, but it did not disappoint. Had trouble making up my mind on what to order, eventually settling for mac & cheese with brisket. It was very good!! We all enjoyed our meals, and my husband was surprised at how the milkshake came: part poured into a glass, the rest in another vessel, and way too filling to have with a big meal. I told him thats the way milkshakes were served, back in the day. Our waitress was attentive, but not hovering, and very cheerful. I have only one complaint: the washroom: They were clean, no problem there, but the handicap stall didnt have a grab bar, and I almost fell, and definitely hurt myself. I strongly suggest you deal with this safety concern, as Im not the only mobility challenged customer youll ever have. Other than that, great visit, and we will be back!!

We ordered after everybody we got a chicken tenders meal it comes with 2 sides dinner bread and no drink no drink was included we never got the dinner bread and it came with 4 broccoli and 4 wedge fries they did bring more that was nice.

A friend and I came in for breakfast this morning. First time eating at a Dennys and it will be the last time. I ordered the 55 plus omelette. She ordered the Grand slam. It was over a half hour before we received our food. My omelette meal come out on a small plate not a dinner plate. The omelette was the size of my fist. The hash browns were shredded like cheese. They were too well done to the point they were burnt. You didnt get very much either for the price. The onions and peppers that were inside the omelette were cooked ahead of time before putting into the omelette therefore, very soggy. Half of a piece of toast was not buttered. The pancakes were just blah no taste that she ordered. She ordered toast with no butter and it came out with butter so the toast had to be remade. The menu items were well over priced for what it was worth. The only good thing out of it was the service was good.

I went with my kids and wasnt busy but still waited 30 minutes for a couple of breakfast meals and a chicken burger. The bread was hard (freezer burn), and there was onions when in the menu it didnt say onions. Also there was only 2 napkins on the table me with 2 kids (they get messy) never going back again.

Fantastic experience! Food was great, 2 adults and 2 toddlers and we all ate well, great portions. More then anything though the vibes were great, our server Purnima really made the experience great, she went way above and beyond, even took our toddler on a little tour of the restaurant when he got antsy since it wasnt too busy. Garbage! Congratulations to Dennys at the Kozlov Mall on Bayfield Street in Barrie, Ontario. You win the crown for the worst food I ve ever been served...thats no small feat, Im over 50 years old. My order was a Spicy Brisket Melt from the featured menu promoted on big signs around the store. The menu describes it as Our slow-smoked brisket burnt ends, caramelized onions, and scrambled eggs are piled high on premium grilled artisan bread with melty white cheddar and Canadian cheeses plus a spicy touch of chipotle aioli. Served with crispy hash browns. I asked to substitute the hash browns for onion rings. My wife also ordered from this featured menu but ordered the Sweet & Smokey BLT + E. The menu describes this as Made with four strips of crispy bacon, two eggs, lettuce, sliced tomatoes and bacon jam spread on grilled artisan bread. Served with crispy hash browns. My wife asked to have the hash browns substituted for french fries. I wish I had taken pictures of our meals, but I didn t have the presence of mind to think I would be posting a review. We waited for 40 minutes for our food. My onion rings were stone cold and dried out. I think they were likely cooked when the meal was first ordered and left to spoil somewhere that was not warm. However, it was my brisket that was shocking. First off, there was no eggs at all. What else was on the toast, I m honestly not sure. I think it was originally brisket, but it had been charred beyond recognition. It was then covered with what seemed to be onions and the contents of the grease trap from the kitchen grill. There was no chipotle aioli. I had taken a bite without looking inside the bread and was taken aback at the burnt, greasy, disgusting mess inside. Even hours after leaving the restaurant to find better fare elsewhere, my wife and I could taste burnt garbage in our throats. My wife s meal was even more shocking. She had the same burnt maybe-meat. She was spared the grease trap topping, but also was missing her eggs (featured prominently in the picture of this meal). She was also missing any bacon, lettuce or tomato you know the stuff that defines a BLT. If there was bacon jam, no hint was left of it after the incineration. She also took a bite without looking, much to her sorrow. Oh, and her fries were stone cold. We flagged down our waitress and did something we have never done. I told the server that this food seems like it might be actual garbage from the kitchen and that we didn t want it and we were not paying for it. I showed her what was served to us and what was missing and without missing a beat she said I thought it didn t look right when I was bringing it out. She then proceeded to tell us that the kitchen was undergoing a deep clean (this is around 7pm) and that the kitchen was in a state of confusion. She needed to see her manager about taking the food off our bill. They did take our food off our bill (still charged us for our drinks). They also offered us replacement meals on the house, but no fools are we after what had just been served to us. I was also disheartened that the manager (who was apparently in the restaurant) could not be bothered to put in an appearance. I don t want the responding owner to send me an email address to discuss this further . You can write an open explanation for everyone to read to explain why anyone should visit this location or trust that customers are in good hands. I don t want free food, I don t want an apology the state that our meal was served in clearly shows that no one cares at the Kozlov Denny s. I will never set foot in this restaurant again and this has unfortunately soured my feelings towards Denny s in general. Also, close your doors during a deep clean or do it after-hours like most places. Clearly your staff cant walk and chew gum at the same time. Don t eat here. If that is what they were willing to serve us as food, imagine how little they care about their deep clean or their food handling practices in general. Spend your money anywhere else.

I normally LOVE Denny s but the Kozlov location was horrible .. it was not busy at all, food toke 40 min at least, coffee was warm and tasted old. 2 of the 3 meals were awful. We ordered the summer sandwich special - spicy brisket breakfest meal $24.99 each - both came burnt, missing toppings, and not at all like the picture on menu. The manager did not charge us for the meals, we did not want the free meal replacement and I don t want a coupon or discount. Never going to this location again. Avoid this Denny s!

My friend and I both ordered breakfast platters and were so dissatisfied with the quality of food. Bacon was so greasy, overcooked and tasted like other meats. The hashbrown was also overcooked and so dry to eat. For two breakfast meals we paid $50. We will never be back. For that price and the awful food, well go elsewhere!

Good service and fair portions. I had the eggs benedict and it was...lacking. The eggs and sauce were fine but the English muffin wasnt toasted and the ham was just a slice of sandwich meat. The price was too high for a meal of this quality. Stacked makes a much better eggs benedict for cheaper, so go there instead.

Ordered 2 classic Benny s. Both to be medium done both were basically raw. Hollandaise sauce was essentially melted butter drizzled over eggs cheese tasted like cheese wiz and instead of back bacon came with thin slice of honey ham. Sent one order back to be redone. But came back slightly less undercooked. They gave us an extra plate on the house but between the sauce and the raw eggs meal was bit edible ended up only charging for one meal and an order of side bacon (which consisted of two very tiny sad prices of bacon) almost $40 before tip. My first time eating there and Likely my last. So disappointed.

10/10 service . Wow. Especially after I had that embarrassing incident .. I had to call over staff for my MASSIVE explosive diarrhea. I was so embarrassed to say anything but they handled it like a champ! Especially considering it was everywhere and i mean EVERYWHERE smeared all over.. splattered. Was told the wait for a table would be 20 minutes, then after waiting 20 minutes I was told it was going to be an additional 40 minutes when there were at least 8-10 tables open and clean.

Terrible experience, table not set when seated still wet from cleaning, while for coffee, when food arrived after waiting a long period of time food was cold, no cutlery, tried to get watress attention but she put us off.. Our meals were cold,no cutlery, Never again will I go back there.. My spouse was going out for Fathers Day and he suggested. This would be a good place to go.. I will never refer anyone to this restaurant.. Overpriced and the service was absolutely terrible. The food was cold.

There is a special for Superbird and Moons over Hammy for $9.99 each. Then how come our bill came to over $$44.38. Our server completely forgot our drink order. The manager refunded our debit payment with cash. She did not count it back to us. They do not honour their own specials.

After being stuck on the 400 for 4 hours tonight my children my spouse and I went into Dennys for a quick bite . Warm inviting and clean . Rohit gave us the service Ive been searching for since I left the industry . He was absolutely amazing checked on us often and even walking in at 10pm while cleaning greeted us with warmth and a smile . Shout out to the cook as well tonight . We will be back again just for Rohits service (and the good food)

Had a wonderful breakfast for dinner at Dennys tonight. Our server Anthony was welcoming, friendly and more than accommodating to our requests with prompt polite service. No pictures of the food as it looked way too good to wait to eat (and it was!). The music wasnt a good fit for the environment in my opinion but thats a very minor preference. Decor was nice and clean, with a touch of Barrie sprinkled in. Very good experience!

This rating is based solely on another persons experience - someone is sharing over social media that they had a terrible experience, and theyve rated this place 1 Star on Google and elsewhere. Their reasoning is this: they were charged full price for an item that was on special - when they let management know, the manager refunded them the difference in cash. Apparently this was highly unacceptable to the customer. If this had been me, I would have been more than happy with the way management immediately corrected their mistake. Based on that alone, and all the other wonderful reviews, I cant wait to try this place out in the very near future.

I really appreciate the fast service I received and our food was also great. I remember the name of the server, Suhani, She did a pretty good job. I ordered lumberjack slam and strawberry stuffed slam both were fantastic. We recommend everyone to visit this place

Great time

Terrible experience. We waited an hour and a half for our food and decided to tell our server to cancel our order so we can leave and try to go somewhere else. Every table around us had the same issue. The server gave us major attitude about that and said yeah whatever I ll get your food . He came out with our food and it was cold, burnt food and was wrong. When we complained, they had 4 different people come up to us and ask what our problem was and were all fairly rude about it. We ended up getting a small discount but we will never come back here as it was disgusting and terrible atmosphere.

Its true what they say, you cant mess up breakfast. But if youre getting anything other than breakfast here, good luck. The first time I got the lasagna, and it might be the worst thing Ive ever ordered at a restaurant, ever. It was half of what the menu showed, for portion, it was hard due to being overcooked, and was inedible because the meat sauce it was sitting in was pure grease. Then today we went for mothers day and I order a Cali Club, supposed to come with avocado, there was maybe a small smearing of what used to be avocado. Supposed to come with Swiss cheese, not a sign of cheese anywhere on it. Horrible for anything other than bacon and eggs. Pretty sad considering how much non breakfast stuff is on your menu.

This was the worse experience we have ever had as a family. What was meant to be a nice mothers day breakfast, ruined the whole first half of my day. We expected it to be busy on mothers day so when we arrived and were told there would be a 25 minute wait we said no problem. Gave our name and waited , waited and after 30 minutes asked for an update. We were then told 15 more minutes. Although it was 10:18 when we left our name and it was now 10:55. Finally we were seated, after 10 minutes and the waiter came to take our drink order... He didnt write the order down and came back another 10 minutes later with no drinks, but to ask us again what drinks our two kids wanted again. Once the drinks arrived, I noticed a small black thing floating in my sons lemonade which looked like a bug. I told them, and they brought a new drink. 5 minutes later. Didnt ask to take our food order. Finally, a different girl comes back and asks if we ordered.. we decided to get an appetizer and when that FINALLY came out it was laughable. Half the ingredients were missing, the cheese wasnt melted. It was disgusting to be honest. We then got our original waiter again after he walked by ignoring our table multiple times... So we could order our food and ask for the missing stuff from our appetizer to be brought out. He took our order and we never saw him again... Well, we saw him but he never checked on our table again, walked by multiple times and then after waiting 40 minutes we asked another waiter about our food and find out our order was never even put into the kitchen. The supervisor came over and wanted to make things right and said our food would be out in 4 minutes. Another lie, we waited another 15 minutes. I left my husband and kids and went to metro and came back and the food STILL never came. We finally said we want to leave and just pay for our drinks, they said no no the food is coming. And I kid you not, another 15 minutes went by. Still no food.... I finally got up and went to the front to try and pay for our drinks, as another waiter comes to the table where my husband was trying to tell him just 15 more minutes for the food... Im convinced the food was still not being made at that point...they told us its fine and we left. I was shocked that this type of service is even allowed. The complete disregard for peoples time was absolutely disgusting.

We had no idea Dennys had main courses, and I got a full Thanksgiving feast of turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing. It was delish!! Our server Anthony was great too

The Hostess Yasvi was amazing! She was so friendly, polite, and accommodating. When I made an error in ordering my meal, she kindly corrected it with no problem. Her service was excellent. The food and atmosphere is also very good.

Ordered ahead to come in and pick up. Arrived at pickup time and stood with no acknowledgment for 15 minutes. I am on the clock and have been ignored for nearly 20 minutes from start to finish. A follow up to the previous review I ve left, tried to give you another chance after my unpleasant experience last time, but unfortunately over the span of an hour have struggled to get ahold of anyone at the restaurant. I ll spend my money elsewhere, where they are able to answer a phone. Will not be trying your restaurant again.

Our food was fantastic, but I wanted to specifically point out the service we received. Rohit K. was very calm, polite and provided some of the best customer service I have ever received. He addressed all of our needs, and made sure throughout our visit, multiple times that we had anything that we needed and that we were enjoying our meals. We will definitely be coming back!

came in just over and hour before close (8:45) waited 15 minutes & had to stand at the kitchens door frame to get the person from the backs attention just to be told that they had turned the grill off and could only serve beverages...

We stopped in for dinner on a Friday night to try. They are expensive for the type of restaurant they are. Food quality is lacking to say the least. The server tried. That s about the only positive thing I can say.

Would give zero stars, but I can t Went last night and ordered the special the $9.99 Super Bird and waited over half an hour before they came to my table to tell me that the turkey was frozen and they couldn t get it to defrost after multiple attempts in the microwave. I ordered something else and they came back again half an hour later saying it was frozen and they couldn t get it to defrost in the microwave. I ordered again something different & when my food was brought I just ordered French toast with sausage and both were raw in the middle. We were the only ones in the restaurant the entire time it appears the same person that was serving us was also cooking in the kitchen. Left after two hours and nothing to eat.

We tried lot of items. Everything was good, I dont find any reason to not visit them again.

Today i went to this place for breakfast, i ordered cheese mozzarella fingers. I cant believe that they fried in rancid oil. I am having worst throat right now . Will never visit this place ever. Servers were nice, they offer me seat and menu with welcome smile bit food was not good at all.

Great diner atmosphere. Price is a bit high for a diner, but everything was tasty and hot. Purnima was great and made sure we were taken care of!
