Made reservation for a large group and were very professional and accommodating. Food was elevated with subtle flavour twists, perfectly cooked. The care into this business shows. Will happily dine there again. Dietary restrictions: One party member was allergic to seafood they were very careful to ensure the meal was uncontaminated, we were grateful.

My recommendation would be NOT to order the bulgogi Nachos. They dump a bag of Doritos and place some bulogi on top with minimal cheese and no veg plus it s $30!! Yikes

Our daughter took us there last night for Thanksgiving dinner. It was absolutely delish! Tasted like homemade! Generous portions and very flavourful! Highly recommend it. Were not easily impressed but Grillicious certainly did it! Thank you for a great meal.

Went to Grillicious for lunch for the first time. Absolutely amazing food and service. We were seated immediately and our service was great. The food portions are massive for the good price we paid. I recommend the pulled pork poutine.

Really enjoyed the smoked trout salad and my lunch mate enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich. Great portions and an original menu. The service was spot on and very attentive and friendly. I love having a local patio option with great food and staff!

Stopped here on the way through Barrie while charging our vehicle at the community centre. Food, service and atmosphere were all excellent.

My wife and I had a small celebration of 31 peeps on July 20th. We were searching for a place and randomly stop by to inquire. As soon as we met Dave and Josie we know this was the place. They were welcoming and accommodating to what we were looking for Food and service was absolutely amazing. We highly recommend Grillicious.

Been here a few times this year and it s always consistent. Amazing food. Friendly service and atmosphere. The owners are delightful and engaging. The food is tremendous and full of flavour. Cannot say enough about the wonderful hidden gem !

Very comfortable atmosphere, within a lovely part of Barrie. The food is absolutely amazing, in both taste & presentation. The Calamari is especially great, by far being the best Ive had in the city. I immediately felt a sense of comfort within the establishment, ths staff being very friendly and welcoming. All together, a place I fully intend to return to, awesome all across the board.

The bartender is also the server now as they cut staff and the service isn t good anymore. The owner isn t friendly at all. It s very expensive for what it is. The steak tasted off like it was old.

My partner and myself went for a paint night that was hosted by the restaurant. We did have drinks and our server was very friendly and quick to bring out drinks. We didnt eat at the restaurant but will possibly be back to try out the food menu.

We stopped for a Sunday lunch not knowing anything about this restaurant. We were very pleasantly surprised. We had the chicken strips and smoke trout sandwich. Everything, including chicken strips, is all made in-house. The coleslaw was unique and excellent. The triple chocolate cake and the frozen cheese cake were delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. This is a gem, very happy to find it.

Good service and good food. Vegetarian options: Lots of options for vegetarian Dietary restrictions: They have some gluten-free meals. And some gluten-free desert if youre there at the right time.

We went for breakfast and it was delicious!! We had the Filipino breakfast totally fantastic we degrading and forgot to take a picture oops! The restaurant was super clean and the service was wonderful!

Honestly very upsetting! I took my family to try their breakfast. The restaurant was empty and the food took really long to get to the table. The food was bland. I ordered the eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce came broken and as I mentioned it to one of the waiters they argued back at me that it was how the sauce was meant to be like but it was grainy clumpy and just not appetizing at all; tasted like an old failed reheated sauce. My family left very disappointed and dissatisfied. Will not be returning or recommending:( hope that gets fixed however for future customers.

As a small business we have a few small pop I m days for our clients where we cater an try to give back to our clients. Dollar store presentation, feel completely ripped off. 700+ for what? I m all for supporting and thought it was worth using our new neighbour. Never again.

For those who desire the true Barrie experience .here it is! Small, intimate but can seat many couples, our group of 9 were seated very comfortably. Newly opened (3 weeks in). To our amazement .we knew the Georgian Grad s that showcased incredible culinary skills to an extreme. The cheaper wines were on point but their glasses are sexy! If you re going to spend you want sexy! Now let s talk food I had the Smoked Trout sandwich . The thing was so delectable you shouldn t even call it a sandwich..you have your choice for sides but don t even second guess yourself..get the coleslaw magnificent! My friends ordered the marinated beef which we had to research, ,,,with that order we noticed no one spoke through our meal..when you are tasting nothing but delight you just want to engross yourself in the experience..Now when your finished your entree with such satisfaction..you can t stop yes yes..yes..order the RASPBERRY CAKE!!! Come On nothing better. There you have it Oh and bye the way..your welcome! Cheers. Josie is back in the kitchen at her new location at 2 Marcellus Drive serving some of the best Asian fusion in Barrie. Try the Bulgogi beef, my personal favourite. She, Dave, and her staff provide friendly service. The wine list has reasonably priced offerings; I quite like the Saintly Rose.

One of our favs in Barrie! We recently visited their new location on Marsellus Drive and were glad to see the menu had many of the same Canadian-Asian fusion dishes that we love. There are lots of different options to choose from and something for everyone. Service was pretty good and there was nothing in our experience to complain about. Prices are pretty typical for a mid-upscale type of restaurant.

I felt like I could easily make this food at home, and it was quite pricey - $26 for a plate of egg noodles with veg and a little bulgogi. Also, $10 a beer is ridiculous.

We recently moved to the neighborhood, and on a whim my daughter and I decided to go for a poutine. So glad we did. The food ( just a simple meal of poutine and chicken tenders) was served fast, but it was very fresh and definitely homemade with fries perfectly done. Our server ( Shauna) was very welcoming and friendly, and really made us at home. Its a little expensive, but still a great place for a quick bite.

Absolutely the best food and service in town. Went on a little stroll and came across this place. Decided to pop in for a beer and not only the bartender but the chef were amazing! Highly recommended!

I m not one to leave a bad review but how hard is it to get a burger correct? lol. I ordered a gourmet burger that is suppose to have Arugula, tomato, cheese, sautéed onions and you d think a beef pattie .. Well all i got was some shaved meet and onion on a bun.

Ordered lunch for my entire sales team today and went and picked it up. Everything was ready on time packaged wonderfully and organized. When I arrived back at the office, the staff was amazed at the aroma of the food. When opened the portion size was incredible and the taste of everything, just so darn good. All afternoon the sales team found themselves in just such a happy Place. Thank you Josie and Dave and staff.

Ate here for the first time this week. The food was fresh, hefty portions and tasted great. We ordered veggie spring rolls, stir fried noodles with bulgogi beef and fish and chips. I m picky about meat but it was so tender and had great flavour. I loved that it was like shaved beef. The noodles were enough for two meals and reheated the next day very nicely. Will definitely go back.

Stopped in here on the way home from Collingwood on the recommendation of a friend who lives in Barrie. Kid-friendly food and very friendly, sincere service. Highly recommend for families for an easy and well-priced meal.

Every time we come here, the food is fantastic. Highly recommend the smoked trout sandwich, the rib fest is to die for and the fajitas are amazing. It s our neighborhood go to, especially now that we are off the Skip/Uber treadmill of lukewarm, overpriced nonsense. Highly suggest a drop in for lunch, an afternoon in the patio or a romantic dinner that never fails to impress. <3

Had a lovely waitress (shout out to Colleen!) who helped us make the best choices for us! We re vegan and this restaurant had many tasty vegan options to choose from! We loved the jackfruit pulled pork sandwich and the rice noodle stir fry with bulgogi tofu!

I had eaten here before near the end of 2019 and the food was amazing. I hadnt had a chance to go back until today. Im pleased to report that the food is still phenomenal. They have a huge menu to choose from, including numerous options for Vegans and for eating Gluten Free. The location is unbeatable as it has a great view of the Lake. It even has a rooftop patio as well as a lower patio. The staff is super friendly, and the owners are great. Cant wait to go back again. Highly, highly recommended.

There isn t a better spot downtown Barrie. The food, the service, atmosphere, all amazing. Great fresh local food that can t be beat. The owner may be the sweetest lady on the planet and if she s not in the kitchen, she is everywhere else. 11/10.

I ordered rice noodles aka pancit for pick up around lunch time. It was hot but food seemed old and they just warmed it up, not freshly cooked, noodles and chicken were dry, no flavors at all. Its a huge amount but didnt satisfy me.

Its a nice spot by the Harbourfront. Food was served pretty quickly too. I was surprised. The quality of food was fantastic. We ordered their Bulgogi noodles and Pulled Pork sandwich. Both were exquisite. Also, sun was out so patio was open, nice views out to the waterfront as well. I would visit again. They have some parking by the restaurant, but theres a parking lot across the street as well. Theyre free on the weekends and paid during weekdays. If you have an EV. There are about 6 Tesla Destination chargers and 2 J1772 charges across the street from the restaurant. Free charging but you have to pay for parking.

Wow, what a rare find near the old downtown Barrie by the Bay. Little hard to get to with the Dunlop St E. construction, but go through the back (Bay side). Surprisingly quaint, super friendly staff, a varied menu for both meat lovers and vegans, and some quality brews on tap. Fast service. It was a Thursday night, which we had reservations for, but not needed. Im sure the weekends are different, so dont disappoint, book ahead. On my list of revisits! Update 2022: So a little disappointed this time around. Great service but wasnt satisfied with the two noodles bowls of shrimp and beef we had ordered for our recent Mothers Day visit. Way too salty for our tastes. While we could have mentioned it to our server, whats the point if we had to have a re-serve and inconvenience of waiting while everyone else finishes their meals. Im debating whether to try a third time and make a final judgement. Not a priority at the moment. Note, Im not shy about tactfully telling the server that the meal was not to our liking, but with all of our family together, it wasnt the time or purpose to make it an issue.

Absolutely incredible staff. I came in after a 16k run in scorching heat, really in need of water. Not only did they give me a cup of water, but the gentleman working invited me to take a seat and rest, and also kept asking if I needed my cup filled more with water. They let me stay for as long as I needed! I know what you re thinking, they just gave you water, it s the bare minimum but it s about how such a small thing they did helped me, and the way in which they went about it. Letting me sit was so kind of them. If you re looking for a spot where the staff are kind and helpful this is it. I can t wait to try their food sometime soon, 10/10 for customer service, I ll definitely be recommending this place!

Great restaurant. Interesting and diverse menu. Very clean environment with a pleasant vibrant atmosphere. I took my mom for dinner there today, and enjoyed sweet potato fries, and bulgogi beef with rice noodles. The fries were the best sweet potatoes Ive ever tasted, and the beef was quite delicious, as well. Excellent friendly service, and I definitely recommend this restaurant for connoisseurs, or just people like me who like to munch on thing. Easy Five Stars

We were in Barrie and were hungry We found this place not too far from water. We ordered hamburgers and fries. It s was one of the best burgers we ever had. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the food was fresh and delicious. They live up to their name. Highly recommended!

We had two lunch specials for Localicious. Absolutely fabulous. What a fantastic deal. The bulgogi beef sandwiches with the pork spring rolls were mouth-watering. Kudos for a great meal and exceptional friendly staff as well (Colleen). Highly recommend to ALL. Well go again soon !

Good ingredients, well priced and thoughtful fare. But, super insistent execution. Bruschetta pizza and Greek salad is a valuable order but packaging and effort range from a 1 to a 10. In my opinion, if they tried, grillicious would be worth making a part of anyones weekly bite. * please cut the tomatoes smaller and/or separate the brushchetta from the bread and greens for delivery you have before!.* I Want to give this place 5 stars!

Wow!! Just wow!! Why havent I been here before? Start with a nice view, great ambience and then Mike suggests a brilliant stout from an interesting craft beer list followed by a delicious meal. Perfect portions and the best fries anywhere. Vegan appetites are well served too.

This place was amazing! Service was incredible. First of all when we arrived, the host was honest and said the kitchen was behind- so we knew it might take a little while for food. After getting drinks though, service was great and you wouldn t have known they were behind. Every server would smile and make sure we were ok when they passed the table. The big guy burger was delicious and my partner got the salmon. It was his birthday and they were so kind and brought out a cheesecake for him. Great place!!

First time at Grillicious and believe me, it wont be our last! With so much variety down Dunlop Street, this hidden treasure right on the corner opposite Hooters is an absolute gem. The service: Heather was our server and she was incredibly attentive, extremely knowledgeable and very friendly to our 17 month old who was with us. Even got to meet the bartender Mackenzie and the owner/chef Josie who were both awesome as well. Simply friendly service from all the girls there. The food: Chef Josie told us that absolutely everything is homemade or sourced from local suppliers using her own recipes - right down to the hamburger buns and sauces...and you can certainly taste it! Everything that came out was spectacular and so tasty. My poutine with elk sausage was one of the best poutines Ive had, the sausage was really tasty and spicy, the gravy was thick and plentiful but the fresh cut russet potato fries won the prize here. Next time, Id love to try the food of Josies home country, Indonesia, which they also serve here. The beer: It seems odd saying that somewhere has the best craft beer selection on Dunlop Street when the incredibly popular Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery is just a few doors down, but theyve managed to curate a tap list that celebrates the best of Ontario craft. Collective Arts, GLB, Lake of Bays and many more are featured on tap here and with some Amsterdam beers coming soon, Ive definitely found my Barrie watering hole. Dont do what I used to do and only get as far as Flying Monkeys when you walk down Dunlop, take a few extra steps to Grillicious and you will not be disappointed!

Great food and great service. We really enjoyed our night out at Grillicious, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. My only complaint is that the fried fish batter was soggy and pretty icky (did not adhere to the fish). The fish within was delicious and perfectly cooked however.

This restaurant is a GEM! We had a delicious lunch here today. The pulled jackfruit and bulgogi tofu sandwiches were both delicious, but so were the sweet potato fries and the spring rolls. Everything tastes so fresh - all of the food is clearly made with lots of love. Not to mention the great service and the patio that looks onto the lake. We will be regulars. This place is a must-eat for anyone in Barrie, but especially for vegetarians. Cant wait to try more next time.

They serve FILIPINO dish. Im a filipino and my husband is born and raised here this is the only restaurant that my husband and I satisfied for the food. Definitely keep coming back I live in barrie so we will support locals. Met the owner Ate Josie she s really nice and inspiring story.

Youll notice immediately how welcoming and warm the staff are. So nice to be greeted and serviced by such a wonderful group of people (girls). I had the Balgogi sandwich with the hand cut fries. GF had the Balgogi on egg noodles (Phillipino inspired). Both items highly enjoyable. If you are craving hand cut fries do not hesitate to have this as your side. Theyre that good. Appears to be some talent in the kitchen. Good craft beer selection; opted for the Canvas (Huntsville) offering. One recommendation regarding the menu, identify the location of the micro breweries and it would also be helpful to list the ABV and IBU of each.

Was in town to say goodbye to a close friend who was leaving the province. This place came highly recommended from a few of the locals she knew and it did not disappoint! If you havent been to Grillicious in Barrie you should run. We went there tonight to try it out based on Google review that said they had gluten free- I looked them up and their menu looked promising so we went and we will be back!!!! I had the beef rice stir fry bowl and it was AMAZING!!! Way more then I could ever eat on my own and the waitress was wonderful about me being gluten free and the owner even came to check and the restaurant was quite. My husband had the fish and chips - his was the same price as mine but not as much food but he said it was very good. Music was a little loud and we were outside. We will be back for sure

Not great food and a bit overpriced

You have to check this place out. Amazing Food and Service and the Owner comes and asks if you are happy. I will be going back for sure. Thank you for a great place to relax and feel like I am at home with family. Todd

I have nothing but good things to say about this fine establishment. My wife and I have enjoyed the food,service and environment there EVERY single time we visited. The food is very well done and delicious. It is a pleasure to eat there. The fusion food is great. We make it a habit of going here when we can.

Unfortunately would not be coming back here. Our waitress was very friendly but not great service. Food took over an hour which was less than satisfactory.

I was surprised at the selection of not only vegetarian but also vegan meals. I ordered the Vegan Pulled Jackfruit and it was unbelievable! Best vegan meal Ive ever had! Highly recommend. Service was awesome and of course it still patio only due to covid

The man that seemed like the manger turned me off when I got up to use the restroom he grilled me and treated me as though he assumed I was not a patron. Finally after he realised that I was a patron he casually said sorry. My server was friendly but buddy needs to learn to not make assumptions.

Great patio with nice views of the lake. Waitresses were very welcoming and friendly. Went for the smoked lake trout on a pretzel bun and it was amazing, just like I remembered at Gravenhursts Saw Dust Brewery.

We havent been anywhere since the pandemic began, as in a sit down dinner and drinks experience so this was a big leap for us - safe to say I dont think well be doing it for a while based on our experience. First of all, the service was phenomenal. Our server was amazing and super polite, as well as the other gentleman who took our reservation was incredibly hospitable and genuine. The food was okay - incredibly salty but not bad. Just kind of an okay experience foodwise. The negative comes from the pandemic protocols. There were two gentlemen indoors with no masks on (even though the window was open, they were surrounded by four walls and its clear that it would be considered indoors). They were both contractors and would frequently break the 6ft apart rule to do their work. Alongside was what appeared to be a manager who was directing them to their work. She, too was inside with no mask on frequently and also directing them with no PPE. No contract tracing for any customers was also a letdown. All in all I had a hard time setting on a review score (ideally it would be 2.5*), however my wife and I felt incredibly uneasy the entire experience and were discouraged from start to finish. I would avoid this place if you can for now and hopefully find somewhere that respects the protocols enforced by the government.

What a fantastic surprise. The food was delicious. Service was excellent and the kids menu had the basics to make your kids happy. I recommend the dishes with Korean beef. The trout dishes were also great.

Big menu with lots of food and local beer to choice from. Vegan options too. Had the jackfruit sandwich which was good.

Cant comment on indoor experience, but the covered outdoor seating is nice. Good jalapeno poppers and decent $24 pitchers. Nice staff. Fellow patrons dont seem to care about the pandemic and may get in your space without masks on, but that seems common in Barrie and isnt the fault of the restaurant. No contact tracing (no one asked for name or phone #.)

Amazing food! Try anything with the bugogi beef - we had it with rice noodles. Delightful jalepeno poppers! Amazing views of Kempenfelt! Side launch is yummy and Mike was the absolute best!!!

This is the go-to restaurant for my husband and I. The service is always amazing, and they ve got incredible vegan/vegetarian options. We ve also gone with friends who have raved about their meat entrees. Mike, the head bartender is very knowledgeable about the beers on tap. My husband always gets a flight and asks for dealers choice and has never been dissapointed.

Best restaurant in Barrie! They have a huge selection of wines and vegetarian options. In fact, they are known for their vegetarian menu. Their spring rolls are hand made unlike other restaurants that buy packaged spring rolls. Shauna and Jennifer went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and recommend their best items on the menu based on our dietary preferences. Once in a while, I make a trip to Barrie from Toronto just to eat good food at this place.

This restaurant has one of the best vegetarian menus Ive ever come across. There is a huge variety of delicious vegan and vegetarian options. Ill be going back to keep trying different dishes :) - Natasha, member of the Family TLC team

Amazing food and Christmas cocktails , great service, they have a great patio with heaters thats open . I will definitely be back . Cute date spot and the staff is awesome !!
