Came for a few drinks, Tyson was my server. What a gem, true blue salt of the earth kinda fella. Great service, pretty face and a good time. Will be back!

Honestly it smells a bit like mold to be honest. Not a friendly atmosphere in my opinion. Kid-friendliness: Ive seen kids here having a good time. You can sit at the bar or sit with your family.

Ordered take out. Very small portions for the price. Not great flavour. Not gonna get food from here again

My first choice always. Night or day time. Bailey never fails to make me laugh and make feel important and tyson never fails to take care of everyone. The food is just the cherry on top of a great place Food

As a last option this bar would fit the bill. Another example of Barrie s downtown offerings, this bar has a typically boring and lame environment that I would not recommend if you had other options.

Underrated gem in downtown Barrie. Ive never been disappointed once with the food here. The staff are amazing and friendly. You feel like family walking in. I cant help but come back for the beef dip. Highly recommend stopping in for lunch or dinner.

Hands down some of the BEST food in Barrie!! Everything tastes home made. * The smash burger 10/10 and Ive had my fair share of them. * The french beef dip 10/10, seriously the best Ive ever had. * Mozzarella sticks 10/10 home made and comes with a killer marinara dipping sauce. AND, You must try the *Sticky Toffee Pudding*, its a show stopper

Expensive. Wheelchair accessibility: Okay, not very accessible, but I did get my walker to the back where my group was meeting. They did have a ramp, but you still had to navigate around tables and chairs.

Pub Nachos are the BEST! plus the awesome friendly servers.

Cool place to grab a drink or 4... Prices are reasonable and its always welcoming. So welcoming the cops show up from time to time looking for tennants who live above the establishment. Food : 5/5

McReillys is Barries hidden gem. Hands-down the best pub food in the city. Seriously good food, its one of the only places I go to eat these days where I feel satisfied and that its good value for money. The service is great. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Lynn is an amazing bartender :) Highly recommend!

Probably is my favourite pub in Barrie. Been going since I become of age. The atmosphere is sooooo cozy! The food and drinks are always good. I recommend the nachos and chicken fingers. The mcreillys beer is pretty good and reasonably priced. Never had a bad time here! Thanks mcreillys for being a staple in the community

Great dinner. The ability to have a conversation is great. Not blasting music like way too many pubs and restaurants... The sticky toffee pudding was a highlight too. Great burger tasty. Taco was excellent and great presentation. Cheers to all there...Tommy on chef. Beauty eh.

Its been a few years since I was there. Its still a fun place to pop into. I was lucky enough to get the window seat. You get a nice meal and watch the world go by.

Terrible food. Like 2 out of 10. Brought guests from out of town for a pub dinner. Dry flavorless food.

Good for a quick pint of Guinness, but dont order food. The last time I ordered food, I came here with a group of 7. My six friends all got their food, and mine never came, and we were there for an hour. The lady behind the bar was nice but would rather have a laugh with the regulars than serve a big group of 7. She asked our table what they wanted to drink like 5 times, and each time, we tried ordering food but after the 4th or 5th time we finally ordered (we were there for half an hour at that point), 45 minutes later my friends all got there food and I was still sitting with my Guinness so I downed the pint and went down to Donnelighs ordered their food and have only been back for the tap Guinness once

Awesome and delicious food

When I showed up at McReillys to meet a handsome friend of mine, Tyson warmly greeted me and had a beer in my hand with 30 seconds. He even grabbed me a stool and brought it directly to my friends table. Great atmosphere and service!

The service is terrible and so is the food . You can get better food and service at McDonalds.

Bailey is one of the most outstanding servers I know. All heart and always a pleasure to visit! The food here is fantastic! I cannot wait for it to reopen. There is a lot of that menu I cannot wait to try! The previous sentence was written a while ago and I stand by this review. I brought an Englishman there who is now in love with their sausage rolls! The staff is incredibly friendly. I continue to go there as the warm and friendly pub never lets me down!

Anniversary lunch. Bailey was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend the fish and chips and roast beef sandwich.

This is a nice quaint pub. The beer was cold, the lady behind the bar (Bailey) was quite entertaining with her book of facts. Its not a big menu but I like wings and tried the butter cajun. As a fella that eats more than his fair share of wings I can tell you the wings here are fantastic. Cooked crispy but somehow not dried out, nice size, and that cajun was great.

Love stopping here with friends for a pint or a meal. Nice cozy pub with friendly atmosphere

Ordered some drinks and wonton nachos. Our service was very friendly and quick. Food was great, drinks were even better. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp inside to get to rear sitting area.

Great service, excellent music, nice vibe. Got the fish and chips - the fries were amazing, the fish batter was a bit on the soggy side. Lots of cheese on the French onion soup, I ve had better though. The chicken wings were awesome. Also got the cheesecake which was fresh and also very tasty.

I cannot say enough how much in love I fell for this place. The food was fantastic, drinks(house beer is delicious), music and ambiance was perfect. Trevor specifically and the waiter made out night. Its all right...an old school pub/bar. Chatty young waitress in tight jeans and tank top, neighbourhood drunks hanging around at the bar. I ordered the Shepherds fries without the meat and veggies so I could just get a plate of fries. $10!!!!! Seriously, nothing special here.

My friend didn t get his food even though they made us pay before receiving it. My other friend didn t receive a lager even after ordering it 3 times. Mind you this was a Friday night, and they only had 10 other customers minus us. We were there for well over and hour waiting for our food.

Stopped in on May 10th, 2022 for dinner. The food was amazing and the bartender Tyson made me feel like a friend. Great service and excellent mozza sticks!!!

So, we walked in and immediately felt a bad vibe. The people at the table in there were unwelcoming. Next off, the waitress was incredibly drunk. She came up to us, stared at us for a few seconds then sat down WITH us and said, Sorry I abandoned you - would you like free drinks?. Yet, she never served us or acknowledge us at the door. I was pretty taken back and so was my girlfriend and friend. The other guests seemed unwelcoming too. Definitely the first and last time I ever go there. Full stop: your staff should not be drunk or intoxicated.

Amazing food, cold drinks, and a great atmosphere! I usually go during the day and the bartender that works most days is always friendly, remembers what I drink, and does a great job. The live music is fantastic too.

Horrible Service!! Yelled at by staff! Bad quality! Horrible experience! We were long time customers until our last visit when we decided that we had enough. The French fries were never fresh, I would request they make them fresh at order time, still brought me twice fried or cold fries, I got them to remake and instantly noticed a major difference in the look of them not just the fact they were hot and the others werent. The employee who constantly lied to my face about the fresh fries decided to tell me off on our last visit in November 2022. The chicken wrap had hard pieces from over cooked deep fried chicken which by experience at this pub I can say wasnt fresh at all! After chewing on several pieces that were rough to chew I took a piece out and couldnt break it with my fingers so I told him about it and how it could break my root canal tooth and he told to me see my dentist if I didnt like it, as if its okay to serve me non-edible food thats as hard as a bone. He then preferred to throw it out and blame me for wasting food and costing him money because of my complaints. Apparently it costs money to run a successful business and keep customers satisfied . The only table we would sit at was at the back due to how gross it smells, it basically smells like old cigarettes and puke except for at the back. I honestly didnt complain that often and except for the last time I only had an issue with their lack of Buffalo sauce one time and a ranch drenched wrap that was soo soggy it was served with the bottom of the wrap falling apart, my ONLY complaints were about the fries, which I didnt complain about on our last visit because they were slightly warm. The servers recognized us and knew everytime that we wanted fresh fries, we always ordered the same thing, a little consistency isnt too much to ask for. The price may have increased for inflation but the food quality has changed for the worse. The chicken honestly tasted like it was frozen fingers not like the fresh made chicken tender strips we had gotten used to. After the server was rude towards me, I decided I would not be returning as the food is not worth the money and as the bill was being paid the man went off on me telling me not to return if I dont like the food and when my friend decided she would not return either and I told him he yelled FANTASTIC!. Unbelievable! As a two-spirit transwoman, I really dont know if this was racist or sexual discrimination, but I wasnt comfortable with the male employee aggressively YELLING at me and treating me less than human. Not 2SLGBT+ friendly at all! Avoid this unprofessional and unfriendly atmosphere! There are several proper establishments on Dunlop St. to choose from.

Just recently moved downtown Barrie. I found this gem of a place only a short walk to my place. This could be one of the best pubs I ve been to! If you just want to hang out with friends and chat, watch the game or just sit at the bar and enjoy a drink, what a place. I would have to say some of the best food in Barrie!! Each special of the day is better than the last. I hope you get to try this place out. A special thanks to Bailey R as well, an awesome bartender and feels like all the regulars love her.

Always a good time and great food

Went for lunch not knowing what to expect. We both had the clam chowder soup which came with the lunch. It was made from scratch by the owner and it was excellent. We also enjoyed a Rueben made with homemade sauerkraut as well as a burger on a brioche bun. They were also very good.

Great patio atmosphere, amazing drinks, epic staff. Owner was very personable and attentive. We are going back for more good times.

Hi guys. Unfortunately I have a complaint. I was not admitted because you thought I was not fully vaccinated. Since I was vaccinated overseas with a Single Dose Vaccine APPROVED by Canada Health and Ontario. Johnson and Johnson is a single dose. It doesnt need a second shot and this is approved by Health guideliness. I was trully dissapointed by you. Please be CAREFUL because this has legal support and anybody could start a legal process with this rejection.

Our server Bailey was friendly and helpful. We had the pub nachos which are made with wontons which was a nice change from nacho chips. Went on Sunday noonish, quiet inside but quite a few people on the patio. I liked that the menu had a smaller selection compared to some restaurants where you are overwhelmed with too many choices.

Visited McReillys for the first time and it will not be the last. The food and service were exceptional! We had the wonton nachos (with chicken & pulled pork), deep fried pickles, fries and pretzel. So good! Looking forward to going back again soon.

This isnt something I wish to be writing as I am a cook and my partner is a waitress so we understand that most people dont like to hear this. The service here was very slow and we felt forgotten the whole time. The food portion ratio to price & kitchen times were also disappointing.. The fish taco aioli was very citrusy (to much lemon), fish was overcooked and the seafood platter was very small and also had a hair cooked into it. I know in my kitchen we want the feed back so we can improve these things and better our service. I hope you read this with little defense and use it as way to improve service/food.

went here the other night and ordered outside so we could stay 6ft apart so we were safe and came back 25 minutes later and paid and our food was ready. the food was really good, the cheeseburger was amazing and i will definitely be going back for it again! they had ran out of pickles so we didn t get our fried pickles even though it was only about 5:30 so we were a little disappointed by that but the rest of the food and the service made up for it!

Im glad I came here and not the Irish pub down the road. Im sure it is fine. The woman at the bar gave me stink eye when I was looking in from the door. McReillys is great tho! I came here and went with the Farmers Special. Everything tastes fresh and excellent service. The tator tots were pretty awesome! The bartender did a real decent pour on the Guiness aswell! It is a public house not a Irish pub she told me they change their menu when they want and offer a variety ..amazing! The chicken parm sandwhich looked amazing and patrons said how good it was. Def getting it next time if it is available! Im sure it is all good. The place has a very warm feel, good classic music Beatles , Fleetwood Mac etc.. and everyone makes eye contact. I also imagine the night time vibe is just as cozy if not more. Check it out you wont be disappointed !!

Nice place until the manager? goes off the rails. After 2 beers my wife goes out for a smoke and when she returns she is told she cant use the washroom or go back to her seat. She accused my wife of coming in from outside and being intoxicated. She said someone overserved her. I said it must have been here as we have been here for over 2 hours. Our server confirmed what I told her. Too bad. Not sure what that was all about. We were both very upset.

The absolute best beef brisket sandwich Ive ever tasted.

Had their nachos with Buffalo chicken on top and good lord is it to die for! Sliders were also amazing. The meat was tender and flavourful.

Pleasantly surprised by how good their mushroom burger was and Victoria was pleasant and on point. Looks like I have found my new spot for a solid meal, cold Guinness and to get some work done.

The first time we came here was about 7 years ago, I gotta say we were not really impressed. They had Bass Ale on tap which was very nice but food was ok. Well I have seen great improvement since then. Now days the food is delicious. The meat and cheese platter is very well assembled. Chicken and waffles is also really good. Burgers are juicy and fresh. This has become one of our favorite spots in Barrie. I wish they had more local beers on tap though. Keep it up.
