I will never go back!! We had to order on a tablet and the serving dishes were very small!! For the price, not worth it! Than when we got the bill it was not broken down! They calculated their own tip on top which was $9.00. I'm disgusted!!! $39.99 turned out to be $55.00! If you like wasting money, this place is for you! I'm disgusted!!!
This was an all you can eat that my entire family enjoyed so much. I enjoyed the small portion sizes because if you want more, you ask and receive it. My kid had 5 servings of edemame. We enjoyed everything from soups to chicken curry dishes to beef dishes. Sushi and everything In-between. Sometimes you need to spend a little more to get a little more. The service was great as well for us although we were a bit late on lunch, early dinner
My family and I went here for the first time this past weekend and opted for an early dinner. The wait staff were helpful and attentive. The food came out at a steady pace and was the right temperature. If we had 1 criticism, it would be the two-bite rolls that would fall apart, making them hard to eat. We loved the fact that you could see exactly what you were ordering on their iPad ordering screen, however, some of the descriptions were lacking information. We will recommend and go back.
I used to love this place 4-5 years ago. Downhill from there. The food just not tasty, overcooked, same sauce used on multiple dishes, rolls re adone with a tonn of rice. Slices of salmon are pathetic. Despite good services, we will never be back
I had an amazing experience at Spoon and Fork Plus in Barrie, Ontario. Traveling from Belleville, Ontario, the journey was worth it. The restaurant offered excellent customer service and served delicious food. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The menu had a wide variety of flavorful dishes, and the presentation was impeccable. The overall experience was memorable, and I will definitely be returning in the future. Highly recommended for a fantastic dining experience.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from the reviews of this joint and always hesitant when a restaurant attempts to cater across many domains of different dishes and cooking styles. Unfortunately this wasn’t a great experience at all and tasted microwave-meal grade at most. I hate to be super negative, but have to be completely honest. The Thai Spicy Eggplant was so super bland and drenched in what tasted like curry sauce, super weird. The Bean Curd Sushi (Inari Nigiri) 稲荷 was also extremely overly sweet, salty and a mushy mess.
First time visiting here on a Saturday for lunch. We were greeted and seated promptly, no wait. We came as a party of 5 including 3 children. My first impression was that I enjoyed the decor and atmosphere it was spacious and clean. After being seated we were told that parties of 5 or more automatically have a gratuity tip of 15% applied to our bill and we could tip additionally or not at all if we chose. This was nice to know as I wouldn't have even thought about it. We got all of our food very quick and the sushi was delicious and everything was just as pictured. The rolls were humungous so I'm happy we did not over order because we probably wouldn't have been able to finish anything more than the 22 items we chose. We chose a mix of the appetizers, rolls, handrolls, sashimi, tempura and grilled items. Everything was delicious and we would definitely come back for another special occasion in the future. Our server was also very attentive, refilling our water right away and cleaning our empty dishes very promptly.
Spoon and Fork has a wonderful interior and atmosphere with sophisticated textures, colours, lighting and sculptures. The restaurant and its facilities are maintained proficiently. The food is delicious. Every plate is put together with care and professionalism. The ingredients were fresh and flavourful. The torched Eel was my favourite. There are many items to choose from and the all you can eat option is the best way to enjoy. Order directly from their regular menu will give you distinguished dishes with great creations and garnish. The service staff was friendly, professional, fast and mostly accurate. Some of the errors were large errors but understandable with peak business. The overall valued experience here is good.
I and my husband had lunch on Tuesday, then my husband got diarrhea right away afternoon, and I diarrhea the whole night and second morning. Too bad.
The fried skewers run by Chinese compatriots are top notch. They are so delicious. I didn t feel hungry at all and I ate 2 portions. I didn t rush to take pictures with the first plate, hahaha. The service is also super good and super friendly.

Food is okay for all you can eat, but not consistent. One day we had fresh sashimi and delicious Thai cuisine, but today we had big chunks of sashimi and way too salty/sweet Thai dishes. Place is big and offers great selection of food for price.

We went here last night for my husbands birthday. It was a terrible experience and the food was not good at all. My family of 6 barely ate anything and the bill was over $350.00 we will never go here to eat again.
Some of the food is delicious, but some of it is terrible.
We were offended by a waitress attitude speaking aggressively. We just wanted to say we were going to order a la carte but she didn t let us even speak this until she finish her explanation about all you can eat order and 15% tip that would be automatically charged on a bill. We just smiled at her behavior like a boot camp instructor. We asked separate bills. They didn t give us the receipts first, instead handed over their card machine with tip selection with min 18%. So some of us paid a tip on top of the amount the waitress put in the machine. I asked her to show my receipt and found out they already charged 15% tip and the card machine was programmed with asking a tip again. Must check your bill !!!! The server kept silence while three couples paid a double tip.

Food was good but I felt the service was absolutely terrible, they didn t come back to refill water until we were almost done and they rushed us out after 35 minutes. We had more food ordered and they kept pushing dessert on us and trying to take the iPads and weren t bringing us the remainder of the food we ordered until we said something about it. 40$ a person so I expect to be there longer then 35 minutes. The server also was very abrupt and cold, wouldn t eat here again

The decor is modern and very clean, but it has not been maintained. It must have been a good restaurant once. The service is quite quick, but I cannot say it is efficient. Waiter would fly past you, back and forth, and they will pick up a single discarded dish, leaving the remainder on the table, another waiter will fly by and pick up another one. They use paper on top of their tablecloth, I am assuming so, they dont have to wash the tablecloth/table. The washrooms are not very clean.
first experience with them and unfortunately not very pleasant. It would be much worse if this happened to our child. There was a bone in the fish that got stuck in his throat. They should be more attentive to details. But overall the sushi is not bad.

Ive ordered sushi online from Spoon and Fork a few times, and I find that the rolls are just too big. Theyre tasty, but theyre always two-bite rolls so theyre hard to eat and tend to fall apart. Its fresh and great service - I just wish the food was more manageable to actually enjoy
Service slow. Had to remind waitress twice of missing dishes ordered. Bill was incorrectly calculated and had to be redone. We did not tip and waitress complained about that!

This store is very tall, the service is super good, and it has all kinds of ingredients to meet your various needs. It also has a very special surprise on your birthday. I highly recommend visiting this store.

Very large peices uncomfortable to eat but it would appear at least some or most people like it. Welcome to call me crazy but if it matters to you. Also some items more or less than advertised. Sauces or vegetables accompanied. Also contrary to the typical of what it is here there is no dessert. Even a la carte not big deal just letting everyone know. Also most importantly likely some behavioural sciences underway pretty uncomfortable.

Ordered for delivery via Skip. Ive had their food at the Mississauga location years ago and liked it. It was slightly below expectation on quality but not bad. Although they had pad Thai on discount and not the Bangkok Street Pad Thai and ordered one of each to see the difference as we are new to the area and not had pad Thai in a while. They were identical in flavour, texture, ingredients except we ordered one with chicken and one with shrimp paying $2 more. So a bit disappointed with that. The taste was otherwise ok although noodles were a bit dry and I prefer it a little sweeter. Im not sure if there shouldve been egg or tofu in either, but there didnt seem to be any. I wouldve liked more green onion but it was fine. The eggplant dish was more Chinese style than Thai - - needs more basil. Not bad but was expecting basil eggplant, Thai style for some reason. Sushi is not bad, and reasonably priced if you just want maki rolls. Though every piece fell apart before we could get it in our mouths. We are seasoned sushi eaters. There is no option for sashimi in a platter or combo and a la carte it is between $2-4 a piece. Portions were large if not fancy, even sushi rolls are big. Decent value for $$. One pad Thai order can feed 2 or 3 depending how hungry you are. For 3 hungry people we ordered too much - - a medium sized tray full of maki rolls (Cali, salmon, spicy salmon and dynamite rolls), 2 pad Thai orders and a large order of the eggplant for just over $100 taxes in, with leftovers for lunch and dinner next day.

Very good service and amazing food
The use of IPads as menus is better than steam tables. You see what is available and order what you want. There is no need to load up your plate. Freshly cooked food is brought to your table. I would have given a 5 for food due to the lack of a dessert menu equal to the rest. The 4 for the atmosphere is because of a bland decor. Parking: A lack of handicap parking.

We went for dinner last Thursday, and were pleasantly suprised with the various new dishes spon and fork has to offer. It will be a definite our go to place for all you can tasste Asian cousines.

1st TIME But Perfect
We were a party of six adults. My husband and I were taking my visiting parents and other family out for dinner. The hostess informed me that there is a mandatory 15% tip already placed on parties of five or more and I agreed but also told her that my parents will try to pay and to inform the server that they are to only give the bill to me. I gave her my name. There is no posting anywhere (wall, counter or on the PIN pad). When the primary server came to the table I also inform them that the bill was to come to me and no one else. At the end of the meal I asked for the bill and the server said it had already been paid by my father when he had supposedly got up to go to the bathroom half way through the meal. When questioned they said that they can not stop another person from paying. When I asked my Dad if he gave a tip he said he did (20% because he is very generous) and he had not been told when he went to pay that there was a tip already added. When I questioned the hostess on the way out she said their policy is to only inform one person when they enter the restaurant and not the entire party. I asked to speak to the manager but my Dad was so upset with me making a big deal out of it that I gave up and left. So good on you for screwing and elderly man out of $150 and getting tipped on top of a tip. I had previously been happy with their food and regularly got it catered at my workplace. Guess who won t be getting our some of our monthly catering business? This place left a bad taste in my mouth with their underhanded tipping practices.
Quick food & easy ordering, very helpful staff!
This family run business is efficient and has tasty food on their large menu. They do offer an All you can eat option limited to two hours but we found enough on the standard menu. The atmosphere has shifted from being the trendy spot to a more relaxed, family friendly place. The dishes were good and filling but not exceptional. Vegetarian options: So many vegetarian dishes, there are too many to list. Parking: Lots of accessible parking available.
Nicely renovated but a strange set up as all buffet items had to be ordered off a tablet and confirmed by a wait staff. Food was average except for Mango Salad and Creme Brulee which were better than average. Somewhat impatient wait staff when we asked questions re. portion size or what not...15% pre-added gratuity for 6 ppl or more which was normal. Not a place we would make an effort to go again.
Overall - food was very average. Shrimp sashimi was stinky (returned to the waiter). I doubt I will come back.
I just experienced spoon and fork for the first time and have nothing but good to say about the excellent experience from the manners the staff shown to the speedy service. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the mood for delicious Japanese/Thai cuisine!

Good food, but could get the same quality somewhere else. Service isn t great. I got yelled at for not wanting to tip. A tip is deserved based upon the service they provide. I typically do tip but this situation I felt everything was very rushed and unprofessional.

OMG! I lovvvve this restaurant! I started coming here before Covid and come at least 1-2 times a month since. Staff - always AMAZING! Food - Excellent! Tasty and makes me want to come back for more. Lots of variety! Atmosphere - Relaxing and friendly, very nice. Favorite dishes - red curry chicken, garlic beef, California rolls, spicy salmon rolls, volcano rolls Kid-friendliness: Kids here often, they seem to enjoy it also :)

I loved it, the food, the beer, the place, everything, pretty good food, the customer service was pleasant, both servers took good care of us, if I had the opportunity to return to this place I would definitely do it. I came back for second time, this time was in my birthday we enjoyed a lot the food very good place to eat sushi . unfortunately I wont come back again.

Great AYCE place! Better than the Oakville location. Be aware the rice/noodle portions are bigger than the norm. Our server s were pretty good but the one guy Shawn was an absolute gentleman and a scholar. Thee best server I ve ever had and seen at an AYCE sushi place, no word of a lie The food was on point except for the garlic beef but you can t judge them on that alone when EVERYTHING else was excellent.
