Some of the best tasting food I ve ever had. Edit: I returned to The 7 Spice four months after my initial visit. I live near Guelph, but occasionally my work bring me in the Barrie area. My assessment on that first visit stands. In particular, their Malaysian curry might be the best thing I ve ever eaten.

We ate here yesterday, and my tatse buds were satisfied for sure, the peri peri burger was amazing definitely not another cookie cutter burger, you can tell there is alot of love in the food, simply put it no matter the dish you try every bite simply feels like home

Ive been going to 7 Spice for a few years on occasion and the food is always excellent. The menu is varied and full of a variety of flavours. Definitely a recommendation, as Ive done with friends and family. Check them out if youre ever in the east end of Barrie. Well worth the price.

Yummy curry. The Sri Lankan red curry was different from the curry I have had - a spice profile that seemed mild and light at first but became strong and profound. The naan was also a bit different - it was softer and fluffier here as compared to the thin crispy style. Went so well with naan and rice and getting filled up quickly was the problem.

Went there with my brother. I really like their peri peri fries. I specially came again for that here. Muskaan served us and she is so kind.

Our first time here and we did not regret it. My wife had tasty steamed dumplings that came in their own bamboo steamer, while I had mango curry, which was delicious and filling. Im a long time customer and 7 Spice is THE best fusion food in Barrie, hands down! Try their Bunny Chow, Piri-Piri Fries, or Crispy Broccoli Bites. You wont be disappointed.

We went to Friday harbour and on our way back i googled this restaurant and thought of trying. Its a hidden gem in terms of delicious food. The girl who took our order was so humble and grounded. We order Mango Thai curry, bangkok noodle bowl and Nasi Goreng. All dishes had great taste and good quantity. I do recommend trying this food place if you are in Barrie. I paid $70 with 3 dishes.

If you enjoy spice (like, the whole spectrum, not just capsaicin), the Sri Lankan Black Curry, I think its probably the best curry dish Ive had to this day. Ill probably eventually try every dish, but Im kinda addicted to that one right now.

The flavours here are excellent!!! As someone who lived in India for a year, I think 7 Spices has the best curries in Barrie. Try for yourself.

We had to throw the food out, it was terrible. Very disappointed as the reviews here would suggest the place was great. Paid extra for chicken and the pieces tasted strange, definitely not fresh chicken.

This place is a hidden gem! The food was hot, fresh and delicious! The owner and staff were beyond hospitable and gracious to ensure that everything was perfect. He told us that he was a highly trained chef and the food more than reflected his talent!!

The food was terrible, pathetic and I am falling short of negative words to describe them. I literally threw all of them. We had ordered kotthu roti, fried rice and poutine. All of them were pathetic. Is this what you call fried rice? Sogged rice mixed wjth some salty gravy, that was how it tasted. The poutine tasted sour for some reason and the kothu roti was too salty and not at all authentic. No idea how people give 5 star ratings for such food. This place is not at all recommended atleast for the foods mentioned above.

Got two burgers, both were undercooked and threw them out. Got chicken tenders which had no flavors and were dry. The owner said the burgers were halal, which I doubt they were.

Do not go here. I think the ownership changed and so did the dishes. Why keep the same menu items after an ownership change if the recipe is completely different? I ordered two Sri Lankan curries and they werent anywhere close to being Sri Lankan. The wrong spices and the taste was awful. All the food was thrown out. We got 4 dishes and $75 down the drain. This used to be my go to place for Sri Lankan food, and this was awful. I wish I ordered through skip the dishes so I could request a refund, but since we just picked it up directly from the store we are just out of money and had to get dinner elsewhere. If I could give this negative stars I would.

We were passing through Barrie and found this very interesting spot. Places that have very varied menu items usually give us pause but the chef here pulls it all off amazingly! We had the Malaysian curry, Bunny Chow and Peri peri fries. Every dish was delicious! Also, I would be remiss if I did not mention how incredible friendly the staff were. 5/5

Not sure what s going on lately, but the quality has gone way down. Used to be my favourite spot. Last time in I ordered a poutine and it came with 3 curds and almost no sauce. 80% of the fries were completely dry. Very disappointed.

Very sad to say I have returned to barrie after moving away for 3 years and found my previous favourite restaurant to be a sad shell of what it once was. The adobo for some reason tasted like Italian sausage in oil. The sauces on the fries and the rockstar were not what they used to be, the balance is gone. The prices have nearly doubled. The friendly husband and wife I was so used to seeing were not there. The temperature inside was nearly 40 Celsius and they removed the art and ambience from the place. I have been here dozens of times before, but I will not be returning. So long, 7 spice. :(

Last minute decision to stop for an early supper. So glad we did! Very plain decor but the food was very good! Bunny Chow was delicious and Pad Thai perfectly spicy not too much. Very fresh Naan and perfect rice made a lovely meal. Server very nice and chef came out to see if we enjoyed the meal and chat. Highly recommend.

I recently tried this amazing multi-cuisine restaurant that serves mouthwatering dishes. Their nasi goreng was packed with flavors and the jerk chicken was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend trying them out and their service is top-notch!

Haven t been back to the restaurant in a couple of years since my wife and I went travelling, we are still amazed that the food is not just as good as when we had it all that time ago but I d say better then most of what we had when we went travelling. Very authentic dishes, very good portions, and the taste will drive you to go into a food coma. I highly recommend!!!

A hidden gem on Duckworth, definitely a must try. Good pricing, friendly staff, good service. We had the peri peri fries after reading the reviews raving about it - they were definitely worth it. We also ordered 2 main dishes and really enjoyed them. Next time we ll try the curry dishes too.

Great burgers!

Decided to try this place on a whim because of the good reviews. It s mostly a small take out place with a few tables for a fast lunch. Ordered the Peri-Peri pirogies in addition to my Thai Green Curry and service was very courteous and friendly. I also highly recommend bringing cash since their Visa machine doesn t work too often. Wow! You will not be disappointed! The food is PHENOMENAL. The chef at this place is brilliant! Food flavours are fantastic with the perfect amount of heat and the consistency is light and non-greasy. I can t wait to go back and try more! They have a crazy diverse menu and I personally can t wait to sample the other dishes! Also, please be patient and wait your turn when they get busy. It s totally worth it!

Wow. Holy smokes this place is fantastic! Great food. Great staff. So friendly. And the price is great too. Portions are really a good size. This is quality quick food not fast food. You can tell they use quality ingredients here. And to be honest even if I was to give this place one star less on food (which I won t! ) the friendly staff are reason to support this place. Ordered the peri-peri chicken burger and Pad Thai with chicken. Food was good. Especially the Pad Thai. Customer service was amazing. They gave us a sample of the rice as my partner cannot handle cinnamon and pre-cooked rice. They were open about how they cook their food. They have halal meat options but some dishes have bacon (which is not halal). Amazing customer service. Great variety of dishes. Definitely recommend them.

I have a severe allergy to coconut and they go above and beyond to make sure they adhere to it and which substitutions would be ok. I loved bunny chow I had for the first time! My kids loved it without spiciness as well. We also had Shrimp Srilanken curry and double cheese curry. I thought Srilanken curry was a little soupy but my husband liked it. The portion was a little small for me(Im a hungry preggo) but it tasted amazing! The workers were friendly. I would come back when we visit Barrie again.

2 bites into Nasi Goreng and I m already in love with the dish and the place. Just moved into the area a day back, didn t know what to order or even what to expect from the dish(had never tried or heard about it). Just read the reviews of the restaurant prior to its visit, and they didn t have that dish on their current menu. But chef was welcoming enough to make it for me. What an absolute banger. My hearty thanks to the team.

Ratings for this restaurant is well deserved. Food came out fast, and the staff were super friendly! The roasted cauliflower in my bunny chow chicken was the best thing I ve ever had. This would be my go-to restaurant but sadly I live in Scarborough. Definitely worth the trip up to get it again!

What a gem! Incredibly tasty food, just off the 400. They have an amazing variety of Indian, Asian, and Pan-American foods that are served up quickly, and full of flavour. The friendly staff and talented kitchen staff gladly cater to allergies and intolerances. I would recommend having the dishes to eat-in, and ask for a take-out box for leftovers - for me the serving size was enough for 2 meals, making it a real value for your dollar. The jerk chicken and Thai green curry were absolutely delicious.

A small but excellent place. Being a vegetarian, I always get a raw deal while having food outside. But here they had many options, pleasant surprise! I had veg shawarma. The chef offered to spice it up further by adding a samosa in it. who would deny such a yummy addon! And the taste was fabulous!

Really disappointed that the Nasi Goreng came with 2 pieces of chicken tenders, the kind that you can pay $3 at McDonalds and not real chicken pieces. The rice was okay, but I still cannot bring myself to justify paying $18.99 for 2 pieces of chicken tenders.

Friendly staff and delicious meals. My go to are the Thai green curry or the bunny chow with chicken. Portions are on point.

First time in 7 spice casual multi cuisine Dining and this cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! We have to say, we enjoyed every single bite of the meal! Considering the quality & quantity,the price is reasonable. There was also plenty of room for bigger groups. all staff made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. Absolutely loved his service.We will definitely be back again. Highly recommended.

Glad we took the drive out from Friday Harbor to find this place. Very tasty and great value. The broccoli bites were fantastic. Pls open one up in Toronto or at least Markham :)

I have been coming to this place since they opened! First with my husband and now I bring my friends and family because it has always been so amazing! When I say amazing, I dont mean just the food but also the service. Chef always knew what we ordered but also made suggestions to push us to try another spectacular dish on the menu. He would always come out to check on us and the other customers to chat and make sure all was good. Tonight my cousin and I went for supper. We ordered basically the same as we always do. I looooove the malaysian curry! Been stuck on this one for a while now. My old fav was sesame chicken, which is actually what my cousin ordered. Our meals came out, mine was the same yumminess as always but my cousins dish looked different. The rice and everything is generally all mixed into one and topped with some of the broccoli mix from the broccoli bites ( another fav) This time the meat was in a little bowl, like my curry, and rice was in its own wee bowl. I asked the person serving us if the recipe had changed because it usually isnt served like this .was just curious He said I must be mistaken, maybe I had ordered something different before. I mentioned that we actually order this alot and chef generally serves it all mixed in to one. Not a big deal .just wondered if the recipe changed so we know for next time. He told me they are out of big plates then made his way back behind the counter. I then heard him mocking me i think because I had referenced how chef made it. They were all laughing. No one came back out to check on us after that i think I must have insulted him which was not my intention. All this to say I miss chef( Fernando) and Pauline! Please come back!! I know this all seems like first world issues .tiz true but its hard to find places and people you feel connected to sometimes and 7 spice has been that place for me and my family for a few years now. Not sure we will be back ..but the food is freaking amazing!! 5/5
