53 Wycombe End, Beaconsfield HP9 1LX, United Kingdom
Stalwart restaurant offering Peking, Cantonese and Szechuan dishes and takeaway in smart surrounds.
Excellent supper returning after several years when l worked locally and visited often. Food and service as good as ever. Will make sure l'm back before too long!
Popped in for an impromptu Wednesday night dinner… food and service was fantastic! Will definitely be going back!
Chinese restaurant serving Beijing (Peking), Szechuan, and Cantonese cuisine. Will be celebrating 40 years this September (2024). Inconspicuously located in Beaconsfield old town. Hasn’t got the usual large, flashy sign outside. In fact it would be easy to miss! Similarly inside, it is not littered with cheap Chinese decorations. I’d go as far as saying it looks very high class. The front of house staff are very attentive, regularly (but not annoyingly often) coming to check if everything is ok or if you need any more food or drinks. We went there for the Sunday buffet on the August bank holiday weekend. Got there about 1pm. It wasn’t busy at all, but as we were eating a number of people turned up. Talking to the waitress, we were told that Sundays, and the whole weekend in general, is usually very busy. So booking a table in advance is recommended. If you do it through the website you’ll be directed to a third party site. This site ‘warns’ you that that the Sunday buffet ends at 1.30pm. Ignore that! It’s not true. The buffet is served all day Sunday. How it works, is that you’re offered a mixed platter of Peking ribs, spring rolls, deep fried vegetables, crispy seaweed, chicken satay skewers, and prawn toast according to the number of people at the table. Then you get a “tick list” (see photo) where you mark which dishes you’d like to order. So it’s a kind of “a la carte buffet”. Once you’ve finished what you ordered, you can order more, including topping up your starter mixed platter. There’s no limit how much you can order- as long as you eat it all! We chose Chicken with ginger and spring onion, Crispy chilli beef, Szechuan beef, and Twice cooked pork. What’s our thoughts? Definitely much better than your usual Chinese fast food from ‘down the road’. Yet, perhaps not as good as I had expected. From the mixed platter the giant spring rolls, seaweed, deep fried vegetables ,and the peking ribs were the best. The prawn toast didn’t really taste of prawns, the satay sauce didn’t even have a hint of peanut flavour. From main courses: the Chicken with ginger and spring onion tasted of ordinary chicken soup. The Crispy chilli beef was crispy and tasty but I couldn’t tell if there actually was any beef! There was no “chewiness” in the crispy bites. The Szechuan beef was tender and flavoursome, not overly spicy. I couldn’t see any Szechuan peppers… The Twice cooked pork was also tender and tasty. Dessert is also included - deep fried apple and banana with caramel drizzle and ice cream. Pretty bland, to be honest. Disappointing, as I was looking forward to it. Overall, all the dishes had flavour but there was just that “little something” missing to make it stand out. Also, typical of many buffet meals, it left us both rather thirsty. I think the idea is to make the dishes a bit saltier (or use MSG?) to make you order more drinks and eat less food = more pofit.
Absolutely terrible. Have just left. We were “dumped” in a corner and forgotten about. We asked to order from the buffet. Before even being given a menu we were presented with mixed hors d'oeuvres. When that was finished we were asked what we wanted for the main a simple response - “a menu please”. Every other table was given prawn crackers. We weren’t. It may sound petty but it’s the basics that went wrong. Have walked 2 minutes up the road to Pizza Express and currently receiving a far superior service. Shocking. Shocking. Shocking. AVOID AT ALL COST!
Learned that this restaurant had been in operation in this town for nearly 40 years. Vehicles can be parked right outside the restaurant. The place offered a very comfortable setting. Attended there for a birthday dinner and all the dishes were amazing, especially the seafood dishes.
We went there on Sunday. You need to book beforehand. The buffet was delicious and they actually bring it to you. There is no buffet to go to and help yourself. You can get a menu to select the dishes from and you can ask for a top up at anytime. There is a vegetarian menu. Be mindful of not wasting food, as you will be charged £3.50 for any unfinished dish. They were very accomadating with my toddler and their booster seat was so comfy!
I have been here a number of times throughout the years visiting from London to this well established Cantonese restaurant in the beautiful Beaconsfield. The food never disappoints me as well as their friendly service. This family-run restaurant established in the 1980s and retains its original nostalgic setting and style. They serve excellent fresh seafood. If you happen to be in the area and fancy some Chinese food. This without a doubt is the “to go” restaurant. Food 8/10; ambience 8/10; service 8/10; value for money 8/10.
This has honestly got to be the best Chinese restaurants in the area. The food is always first class, along with the customer service. Although it's a little pricey, it's certainly worth it for such a good experience. This is the only place outside of London that I have seem "New Zealand green shelled mussels". They do add a "service charge" but it's well with it.
Below average food. Expensive. Standard for Beaconsfield.
The only Chinese I use in the area
High quality Chinese restaurant
Still a great restaurant and enjoyable food. Only thing sadly is scaffolding confuses even repeat customers from remembering it.

Four of us visited last night for dinner. We shared a bunch of things all of which were excellent. One of our party had some food allergies and the kitchen modified where they could. Great service and busy as you d expect for a Saturday evening. Booking recommended
Lovely restaurant old school . Authentic atmosphere. Professional attentive staff. A real treat.
Our go to buffet on a Sunday when out. Never been disappointed with the food or service here.
Food

Great food, excellent service and nice atmosphere
DELICIOUS!! This Chinese restaurant serves food that is so fresh and flavourful. Family run with smiles and great humour. We always return.
Absolutely a 110% place to go. Fantastic menu and persons service. Very personal service too. Will be back. Food : 5/5 |
Friendly and nice food
Wai and his team cooked a very lovely 8 course Chinese banquet for our wedding. He and his team were able to cook on site at our reception venue, which is rare for a Chinese banquet as these normally have to be held in a restaurant. Unfortunately some of the details during the organisation, i.e. guest numbers, agreements, timings, etc. were missed on the day, but we managed to have an enjoyable time and our guests enjoyed the food that was provided.
Food good but service and manager attitude were shameful and ruined the experience. My brother and I took our mother out for dinner on a Wednesday night. Not the busiest night, the restaurant was about 1/4 full, so there were plenty of tables available. Initially seated next to a window, but our mother found it too cold (-4C outside) there so we asked to move to another identical sized table closer to the fire. Was told by manager (possibly owner?) some officious rubbish about the table being too small for food and therefore it wasn t possible. I later confirmed it was identical in every way to the table we were seated at. She just couldn t be bothered. So that was strike one. Then at 9:30pm, while still eating, we were told that we had to make our last orders at the bar. This was rapidly followed by the bill being thrust upon us and, at exactly 10:00pm, while still finishing our dinner, the music was turned off, the lights were dimmed and all the staff left the floor to relax on a table inside the restaurant. The message was clear: you ve paid your £200 bill (yes, not a cheap bill for 3) so no you can f-off. Never coming back. If you re looking for a good Chinese restaurant, I can say with certainty that the China Diner is a much better option.
I used to rate it a 5-star place, but the past few times weve been, it has felt tired. Food is lovely, but the sharing plater to start was greasy, and the ribs were largely fat. The duck pancakes were gummy and impossible to separate the majority of them. The bathroom had no hand dryer or towels and needed a clean. It feels like its fallen down in its standards over the past year or so, which is a shame.
Been here a few times and enjoyed it but this time really felt they are cutting corners. The pork in the noodles was like cut up hotdogs or luncheon meat and on ordering jasmine tea for 4, were charged £10 for a pot with just 1 teabag. Some of the food was great but these things really let it down. We wont return.
Amazing food amazing customer service
The atmosphere is perfect with lovely ambient sounds and bathrooms were really clean, the service is impeccable and while yh food may be expensive your in Beaconsfield what do you expect and it is delicious and great portion sizes.
Wonderful
Visited for the first time on Friday evening, will never go back. If you want a night or rubbish food, incredibly poor service and rude staff then please visit, left very hungry as mains never arrived and incredibly disappointed, back to China Diner next time.
Excellent
STAY AWAY!!. It is very unlike me to leave a review but with the amount of stress Wai put me through. I most certainly don t want this to happen to any other bride. It took Wai almost 2 months to get us a quote, and every time he said he would call back he never did. Throughout the year, we did everything he required from us. We discussed the menu, did the tasting and he set up a meeting with us at the venue to run through the final details where he did not even show up. Wai said he will go to the venue himself on another day to make up for it and will call at the same time to run through the final details instead but never called. Bear in mind we are now in January and still had not heard from him. Eventually I had to contact him again for an update where Wai told me everything went smooth at the venue and quote, everything was all set to go. I mentioned about amending the quote as numbers of guests changed and he said that we will have a final meeting 2 weeks prior to the wedding, and if I had any questions in between to contact him. So at this point you would think you can relax now until then as he assured everything is sorted. WRONG! Given he s track record I decided to contact Wai earlier to book our final meeting which is where he told me that I was not booked with him and that he had another wedding booked now the day before mine?! He tried to blame me that he had not heard from me for a while so assumed I did not want to use he s services. (Even though the proof is in our texts him telling me everything was set and we would talk again 2 weeks before the wedding) Makes absolutely no sense! Told him that he needed to refer back to our messages of what HE said. And instead of admitting he s wrong, he would blame me instead. So after a whole year of planning, Wai had completely wasted our time with less than 1 month away from my wedding! I managed to find another caterer and found out this is not the first time Wai has done this to as my new caterer were having to also cater for another couple that Wai had messed up on. I also found out after through a mutual friend that Wai actually catered for a wedding in the past where mains did not come out till 10pm and again the couple being blamed for things rather taking responsibility. Finding a Chinese caterer for our wedding was difficult but it s not worth the stress and him potentially not even turn up to your wedding seeing how forgetful he is and then blame you.
ONE BIG DIRT HOLE !! Decided to to try this place out on Saturday night....wish i hadnt. The place is rotten ,The plates had dried on food all over them,as did the waitress. The food was very basic mediocre and very salty and poor service ,not to mention a droning sound throughout the restaurant that made you feel like you were on the Hull to Zeebrugge ferry . Made a visit to the toilets there and MY GOD !! was like a scene out of saw ! locks on doors broken and very unclean.....just needed some graffiti and you were there.Far Far better Chinese around . STEAR CLEAR OF HERE !!!
Absolutely disgusting quality and taste really bland the food arrived 12-15 minutes after I had placed the order so as you could imagine all reheated the food was definitely not fresh I spoke to the manager and she actually tried to convince me the food was fresh will definitely not be ordering from here again
Excellent food, with loads of veggie options. Being a large party, we were sat at a big round table with a large lazy dusan which made sharing everything so much easier. The staff were attentive and friendly. Surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night, especially as the food was so good. The music was, unexpectedly, 80s/90s. The decor was a mixture. With so small a clientele the atmosphere was subdued. Not bad prices either (4 course meal). Vegetarian options: The lettuce wraps were tasty
Absolutely love it here
Best Chinese restaurant in Beaconsfield!!
Lovely cosy atmosphere
Duck dish is one of worst dishes I have had. Taste like recooked frozen duck that you can get from chinese supermarket.
We ate here on Sunday when they offer all you can eat option off a menu. Great food and service. Good value for money.
I was told I would be able to order if I called before 21:50 so I called at 21:30 then I was told the kitchen was closed. The gentleman on the phone was it helpful and sniggered. I will never be coming back here
Nice food and atmosphere. Friendly staff and comfortable surroundings
Best restaurant in town !
Not bothered about customer experience. Ordered from them many times but they get worse and worse. Previously complained about very little portions in the past but gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought they would take it on board. Lost a customer considering I do large orders often. Again I was Given very little portions in small boxes which was very dry and not fresh at all. Sweet and sour chicken is usually in sweet and sour sauce but it was just a few chicken pieces in a box. Given the wrong noodles asked for chicken chalmain but given Singapore. Waste of money considering I paid £60 and drove 25 minutes to collect my order. Complained over the phone when I got home and they insisted I drove back and returned the food to issue a refund. I informed them I had opened a few of boxes but they did not care they just wanted the food back probably to serve it to other customers. Was not apologetic at all or even wanted to rectify the food order. Don t bother ordering from here
A mixed experience really. The atmosphere was good, as was the service. However all food was served on cold plates which meant it was lukewarm by the time it got to the table. Plus the beef in black bean sauce was not that good, being rather low quality meat. Such a shame.
Decent food and quick service. What you would expect from a Chinese
This restaurant has two levels of experience. For dine in the food and service is great. For takeaway and Dekh era the experience is horrendous. Customer service for take away and delivery is non existent, insultative and argumentative. Service in the restaurant is fine. In summary, eating in the restaurant is OK, bur avoid take away and delivery service unless you want to waste your money.
First visit for early supper. As it was a Saturday, quite busy from the start. One large table amongst tables for two was pretty noisy and increasingly so when extra people arrived after the others had finished. The menu is comprehensive without being over long. Food was fresh and tasty. Service welcoming, friendly and efficient. Well definitely go back.
Lovely family run restaurant. Fantastic authentic food. Ideal place to meet with friends in Beaconsfield.
Wai and his team catered for our wedding back in August, he talks a lot of good but his actions speak otherwise, he had a lot of confidence catering for 360 guests. The catering was the most important and expensive thing in our wedding budget yet the worse thing at our wedding, we had so many complaints from our wedding guests even until this day. We understood catering for 360 would not be easy or cheap however Wai made a lot of promises that he then did not deliver on the day. The food came out late throughout the night yet Wai had blamed us for this reason, by the time the last few courses and dessert was served most of my guests had left. The food was salty and rice was uncooked, what we received when we came for the food tasting was not what we got on the wedding. Not only was the food not up to the standard to what we was promised the staff were beyond rude and unhelpful to my guests. My guests left feeling hungry and disappointed with the catering. The fact that me and my husband had to go into the kitchen on our wedding day in our wedding outfits to speak to Wai asking why the food was taking long speaks for itself. I rarely do reviews however I wouldn t want this to happen to anyone else especially on their wedding day. There aren t many Chinese caterers out there so we had no choice but if I could do it again I still wouldn t choose this caterer.
Family and friends dinner loved by all. Superb fun, amazing food, smiles all round. Recommend highly. Bravo Leigh House.
Placed my order at 5.45pm, its now 8.35pm and no food has been delivered. To make things worse Leigh House are not even answering the phone! Avoid this shambles of a restaurant! Ill be getting my money back through my credit card company!
DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Ordered takeaway twice from them and both times they were over an hour later than they said and constantly it would only be 15 mins. They then refused a refund when asked. Will not be ordering again.
I gave them 1 star tonite because this is the worst service that i have received. I wanted to round off the year 2020 with a nice take away. Placed my order just before 6pm for a delivery at 7.45pm, I waited and after 1 hour of no show and calls not being picked up (i must have called like 102 x. Got there, met other angry customers. Situations like this could ve been avoided by matching the no of orders with staff capacity. My experience tonite was unacceptable! To make matters worst one of my orders was missed.
We havent had a Chinese for a while and just had a delivery. Arrived bang on time, freshly cooked and absolutely delish. Crispy duck in particular was just lovely! Would not hesitate in recommending it ...
The best Chinese for miles.
One of the best Chinese restaurants in the local area. Nice serving staff and delivery is always good. Food always very tasty.
Good local Chinese restaurant offering take away option. Tasty food
The food is ok and average. We order regularly because of lack of Chinese in the area - but the best way to summarise this is a cheap Chinese fix with average mediocre food
We recently discovered Leigh House - particularly that it does Gluten Free options, which is very exciting as that is hard to find. Weve had take away a couple of times and last night we ate in. The food has always been amazing and so happily catering and adapting for Gluten Free. The staff are wonderful, friendly and attentive. Certainly our familys new firm favourite!
Amazing
Great food and helpful staff
Well established restaurant. Great food and friendly attentive service.
Good value food at reasonable prices . Good service.
Great restaurant, food always delicious, never a bad dish, great helpful service. Well established in Beaconsfield old town.
Lovely food in the heart of old Beaconsfield. The best Chinese food in the area.
Delicious food. Fantastic service.
Fabulous food and service.
Food is so good. We will for sure be regular customers.
Nice food, cosy inside and nice staff
Lovely food great atmosphere
Great food and service. The owner was extremely kind and spent time at our table. Staff where attentive and friendly at all times. Would recommend the prawns ! Happy eating.
They cater to GLUTEN FREE and COELIAC!! Wonderful food, some of the best Ive ever had. Brilliant staff and the owner is absolutely brilliant and lovely. Would recommend over and over again.
Friendly accommodating wonderful evening celebrating a friends birthday in the private dining area. Fabulous fusion of foods.
Great atmosphere and fantastic food
Good service and food too.
Great food
Been here twice in recent weeks, both unforgettable meals. Got to be the best restaurant for miles around. Food delicious, staff friendly and fun. Arrive excited and leave satisfied every time. Good work Leigh House!
Always such great service and lovely food!
Lovely food and excellant service
Good food but TERRIBLE service. They deliver to our next door neighbour regularly but refuses to deliver to ours. The guy over the phone argued pointlessly that he was the owner for 45 years and he didnt know about delivering here. Even gave a date when we had ordered with our neighbours but he was adamant not to have our custom. Ah well!! His business, his call. Now I wouldnt even go for eat-in after listening to his illogical argument with a regular.
Very rude stroppy and food never arrived
Ist time there. Loved it. Service friendly and very good. Only negative was my favourite dish chicken in black bean sauce far too spicy. Would definately go back.
Amazing food (the vegetarian duck pancakes are the best ever) the staff are all super friendly and attentive! Would definitely recommend this restaurant! So excited to come back :)
Always a great meal here. Great food and super service
Amazing Food and really nice staff
Lovely Chinese restaurant. Messed up on another booking and got a table for 6 on 20 minutes notice, on a Friday evening. Food was great, service was quick. Highly recommended
Reliably good restaurant for Cantonese food. Friendly efficient service in a very pleasant dining room.
Went with a large party so food was prearranged, the chosen menu wasnt what I would have picked so could only try a few things, have had better plus everything seemed very rushed and staff not very welcoming.
Great service and stunning food! Lovely family restaurant.
One of the best Chinese restaurants I know. Reasonably priced, good food - sweet and sour chicken is always crispy and they make everything fresh- I know this because I asked for Singapore fried vermicelli noodles without prawns and they came out without any which is great because sometimes other places batch cook. Some of the staff are excellent, others seem a bit out of place like they don t understand the restaurant. Would go back again and again
Best Chinese restaurant ever!
Excellent food and first class service.
Absolutely loved our night out, we had the set menu for two, staff were wonderful and food was amazingly good, we couldnt eat it all and were happy to container it and we took it home and it was just as tasty the next night I would definitely recommend this restaurant and thank you for a great night out
Fantastic meal, excellent service, friendly staff. Dumplings were amazing.
Always lovely food and a very friendly Welcombe. Its a proper Chinese a bit more expensive than others but worth it. A great meal. Good to book as always very busy.
Stunning restaurant with good food that will spoil you for where ever you eat again. Seriously nice people and service a personal and family favourite we repeatedly enjoy. If your in Beaconsfield is a must.
Best Chinese weve ever had
Used to be great, requires a re-furb.. damp
We took my wifes mother for her birthday and the food was excellent with really attentive and helpful service (although it was a quiet Monday night and we were eventually the only people left). Im not sure which restaurant a recent one star reviewer was in but so far as we could see the decor was in good condition and very pleasant. Were certainly go here again - it lives up to its reputation
Great place for a hen party...
Great food and friendly service
Great food..
Really gone downhill, very little food for a lot of money
Great Chinese food
Great traditional Chinese food we had was very good great service.
Consistently good food.
Great Chinese food including separate traditional Chinese menu
The best staff in the world. Amazing food.
Overly expensive
The food and service at this Chinese Cuisine is excellent, and the best in Beaconsfield for an eat-in meal. However, with large groups, the order can become confused, and isnt always exactly what was asked for in my experience. For ordinary sized outings (family of 4), excellent.
Claims to offer delivery every day until 9.30pm. Called at 9pm - told delivery has finished.
We had a lovely meal and staff were great!
lovely food fantastic service highly recommend
Not the best food was mediocre
Beautiful food, with wide range of choice. Always tasty and staff friendly and helpful.
Seems to have gone downhill, sadly. Prawn toasts were hard and bore no taste of prawn. We mentioned this clearly to our waiter but no apology was forthcoming. Soup was ok but no different from our local takeaway. Then there was the Egg Fried Rice which could be very useful for re-pointing brickwork but not enjoyable as a food stuff. And finally the price. You would expect some properly nice, genuine chinese food for the price tag. It simply wasnt. After 9 or so years of visiting, this was our last.
Great local Chinese.
Great food and lovely staff highly recommended x
Excellent food, lobster is really good but you sometimes need to order it when making reservation. Spent Chinese New year here and it was a very memorable evening. Would definitely recommend.
Great food and friendly staff.
Best food in Beaconsfield.... Go it never disappoints.
Amazing food and amazing staff. Favourite place to eat in beaconsfield
Rude staff average food.
Visited last night and as always the food was excellent.....Service was good for a packed Saturday night. HOWEVER drinks are ludicrously priced and toilets are grim. £5.20 + 12% service totaling near £6 for a bottle of water is extortionate by anyones standards and £36 for a mediocre bottle of sav blanc bumps a chinese for 4 up to over £200. Jasmine tea is a large pot with a lone teabag floating round rather than proper tea.... Toilets are not checked throughout the evening and by the end are pretty disgusting... Shame as foods good.... TOP TIPS ... order tap water and take disinfectant toilet wipes!!! ..
Top guys, top food and as always really welcoming.
Unfortunately for Leigh House they employ a young guy who welcomes the customers but doesnt have an interest in customer service. Twice now I have been refused a table from him. On the first occasion it was because the restaurant was fully booked but there were at least 60 - 80 seats available and it was at 6:30 on a Friday evening! On the second occasion we arrived at 9:30 on a Thursday evening and the restaurant had about 8 people in it and he said the chef wants to go home at 10:00 so we can only serve you 1 course, shocking! If you can get past the poor customer service on the door good luck because if you do the food is very good. However because this is the second time its happened when it could have been avoided on both occasions its only 1 *
Probably the worst meal i have have for years, mostly fried food which you probably could buy in Iceland, the vegetarian duck was more like tasteless pork scratching, spices were non existent, staff just put food on the table and did not explain what was what, which led to vegetarians in our group eating meat ! Well over priced for the small portions, and well over rated, very disappointed.
Helpful and friendly staff with a very good chef
Best meal i have had in a very long time!! The staff were excellent and the host had nothing but time for us. It was my birthday and they spoilt me rotten. I would recommend this place to everyone.
Oh my goodness the crispy lamb and beef in black pepper was amazing. Cant wait for my next visit. No bullet bourbon but they promised to get some in for me.
delicious!!!
Good Chinese food with some interesting dishes like crispy lamb; food was not oily or over salty. Service was in line with other good Chinese restaurants that Ive eaten in.
Great service, great food. Thank you
Sitting in here now. I recommend it. Two years later i am back enjoying dinner.
Friendly service, nice food and especially love the Chinese curry chicken, yep I know its a Chinese restaurant but its worth a try. Squid was also good and not overcooked. Lively atmosphere which is always a good sign!
Great take away. Good value.
Overly sugary and bland food.
Excellent food, great staff and a real variety on the menu. If there is something you want but it isnt there just ask!
Sunday Buffet is great. Dishes cooked to order and as many as you like. Try the Manchurian crispy lamb starter, delicious!
Amazing food! The owners hospitality was fantastic. Will definitely be returning!
I usually dont like to leave a bad review but we did not have a great experience here. The food was not authentic nor fresh, it was very tasteless and full with preservatives. The owner looked miserable with no smile or whatsoever. I did try to politely advise the owner that we were not happy with our food but the owner was not interested, also she was rude to her waiting staff which I think is highly unprofessional in front of clients. I will not be coming back here again.
Really good food
Great service and gorgeous food. Try to go on lobster day (I think its once a month).
Brilliant Chinese restaurant in the old town. Really love the spicy ribs, crispy lamb and salt & pepper squid. Eat in or take away.
Nice food and great service cant wait to return!!
Went this Sunday, The restaurant was not busy only about 4 tables taken however all four tables were very close to each other, asked if we could have one of the other 20 empty tables but was told it was reserved. I like chilly oil with my Chinese food and this is the first Chinese restaurant that said they charge £1.50 if you want extra chilly oil. I will not be returning.
First class restaurant staff very attentive and pleasant
I have been going there for more than 25 years and in the past it was good food and excellent service. The service was apalling on my last visit and unless this is remedied I fear its wonderful past will be gone. That is a shame!
Met up with friends from St Albans as its half way. We went there last year and really enjoyed setting and food and service. Beaconsfield is also such a great place to go out in. I cook prety great Chinese but cannot match some of the food they presented. Staff are very good-relaxed and helpful. Deserts were also wonderful. They can manage so many differnt types of batter, be it for sweet and sour or for bana fritters. All cooked fresh and beautifully done. Great night...sorry to the poor waiter, Alex, as we were last to leave. he was great throughout the evening.....
