Great fish and chips and service

We hired the private room for a group of 12 adults and 13 children. The team was so helpful with any request with prompt service and ensuring all requirements were met. The whole group really enjoyed it and while will be back. Big thank you to AJ for going out of his way for a seamless meal!

Booked here for our Christmas Party. The main reason for booking was because I was told there would be a live band. Unfortunately there was not. First I was told they were ill, then I was told they had an accident (was told this by the same person). As I said, this was the main reason for my booking. Having said that, the food was absolutely superb, cannot fault the food at all. Drinks service was slow but the place was busy.

Came in on Saturday night for drinks with friends and it was quite busy but service was speedy and friendly, I was served by Darcy and he didn t make us feel rushed even with how busy it was, great service, will be back.

Fantastic Sunday roast dinner, great buzz in the place.

Such a lovely place to go have a Sunday roast, food was amazing quality and great portion, I also want to mention I was served by a young gentleman called Darcy who was an absolute asset to the workplace, friendly, charismatic and charming, fully recommend will definitely be visiting again!

Came in this week for the first time and will definitely be back again for the cocktails alone .they were reasonably priced and wow delicious,not overpowering in alcohol tastes,so very dangerous ,Darcy was a great bartender,chatty and personable,will try the food aswell next time

My daughter and I visited this pub, and I must say that I was quite impressed with the food, atmosphere, and service. Although it was quite crowded, I acknowledge that theres room for service improvement. I plan to return with my work colleagues for Halloween.

I visited yesterday with friends for Lunch.Both the food abs and Venue were lovely.The Waitress Service from a lovely duo Leann and Kayla made the visit perfect.We will be returning ! I chose the Steak and merlot pie and my Freind had the fish and chips.Both meals were delicious.

Short staffed on busy night. My choice of main course was not good. Banana blossom stew. Very salty, artichoke was like shoe leather. A friend had the same dish and didnt enjoy hers either. Other food on the table was fine. Maybe just a bad choice.

Came in for lunch and had the dirty burger and the salt and pepper squid, absolutely phenomenal also had an old fashioned which was expertly made, the service was excellent and everything was served with kindness and a smile

Went for my birthday lunch today (30/11/24 ) with friends food was Lovely hot and tasty. We were served by a lovely attentive Waitress called Leanne and it was service with a smile and a bubbly personality.it made our visit a very enjoyable experience. Vegetarian options: Nice choice

Fish and chips - average to good Pork belly - terrible... thick band of fat, not crisped or even decently cooked. Very unappetising, and left most of it on the plate. Food

We were celebrating, the food was fantastic, presented really well. The staff were friendly and couldnt do anymore to help.

From the moment I walked in today, the staff were attentive and friendly. They served you with a smile and very engaging. Although I didnt eat today, based on previous experiences you couldnt go wrong with coming here for a nice meal and great service.

Paid £21 for a burger!? Every table has glasses on. Staff no where to been seen when waiting a drink

My Wife and I had a meal here today. The line caught fish and chips was the worst I think I have ever eaten. The only edible part of the meal was the mushy peas. The fish (baked to the inside of the batter) and chips were overcooked. I did mention this on payment, not that I was looking for a refund, but the second server, Fergus was very apologetic and insisted on taking this off the bill, which was very good of him. The first server was a young girl who had no interest in serving and should possibly be looking for another job. She was noisy and inattentive. All in all, it was a very disappointing meal.

Staff were lovely, service timing was perfect and food was delicious! Recommend the lamb rump and the cocktail with mini crème brûlée was a perfect ending. Can t wait to go back again!

The food and service was wonderful. There was a little bit of a rowdy atmosphere in the bar that caused more than a couple of diners to look concerned, but it was a friday night and to be expected to a degree. The cask ales were off, which was a little disappointing, but the bar and restaurant were very clean, tidy and inviting and we had a lovely time.

Thanks to Kayla for the great service today. We visited for lunch and had a good experience. Tasty food, prompt service and friendly ambiance. We had the lunchtime set menu, which has a variety of choices at a reasonable price.

We dine here for special occasions: last night, our fifth wedding anniversary dinner. As usual, RSH did not disappoint. An pitcher of cocktails in the bar, followed by steak and malbec pie- so delicious. Only flaw was the pricing of the desserts: most were over £10, overpriced for what they are. Great atmosphere, excellent service, great food. Well come again.

Great Sunday roast decent and very filling.

Had a great family lunch. The roast chicken was really good and shared 3 deserts with my cousin - cheesecake, chocolate bomb & the meringue were all top. They explained their coffee machine was broken which was fine but the hot drinks they served were sadly all tepid. But that didnt detract from a great Sunday lunch and the service was really good for a large group. Returned for large family lunch. Food, venue and service were all still superb. Had the charcuterie board and the roast lamp rump this time - both very tasty and the lamb was perfectly cooked medium. We were well looked after again by Nelly, Kayla & Amber.

Nelly was so lovely and really informative about the menu options. We had a lovely time and will be back.

Fun place with good food!

I dont think Ive seen the same staff twice in here. On the occasion the food was good apart from some of it being dropped on the floor before it got to us. Bloody Marys arent on the menu. Which is surprising. Atmosphere ruined by a couple of ladies conducting work without knowing how to use their indoor voices.

Good pub, desperately needs a good clean inside and an out. Absolutely filthy.

Came here for a Sunday lunch with my wife and daughter before visiting the Model Village and we were not disappointed. We all ordered the Sunday roast and thought the food was delicious, and portions very generous. So much so that we didnt have room for dessert until we saw that there were mini desserts which were just perfect. The staff were really friendly and attentive - we were very well looked after by Kayla who was lovely. All in all a great experience.

Popped in here just before the kitchen closed as the restaurant we were eating at closed its kitchen mid meal. Im vegan and gluten free so wasnt expecting much to be available. I celeriac steak with roast mushrooms, shallots and carrot crisps and pesto dressing. Very impressed with the quality and thought put into making a good vegan meal. The presentation and flavours were great. My husband had a burger and fries which he also said was good. Staff were very helpful. Definitely a good find. Dietary restrictions: Able to advise on dietary requirements and offer a number of vegetarian /vegan as well as gluten free

No longer the place we will be going to for our Sunday lunch. It has become dreadfully expensive (£££) which is enlarged by a whopping 12.5% service charge. Dark aspect in restaurant. Took 12 minutes to attract the waitress attention to obtain the bill for the meal. Prices for beer not listed on the menu. Roast beef not up to standard, non-descript gravy, roast potatoes were a few boiled new potatoes lightly roasted. The side dish of boiled cabbage, onions and some peas was served in a ceramic bowl which had been steeped into the gravy on the main dish. Desserts were served cold. Is Creme Brulee really meant to be a cold dish? Didnt much care for my starter either. What purpose does it serve serving giant Yorkshire puddings? Its some modern things that doesnt really work. They just smother the plate. I summarise our experience with two stars **.

Waited today with my family for more than 10 minutes while staff just wandered past as if we re weren t there. What looked like a manager was on his laptop just beside us actually said as we walked I ll be back shortly as he wandered out the back and never came back. Just on that basis We left. Very disappointed

Nice place, good for groups

Parking was an absolute nightmare, with no disabled parking or any available parking anywhere. When we get in, it must have been at 20% capacity. The food was nice, although warm, not hot, and my sauce was freezing. If anyone had come over and asked if everything was OK, it might have been sorted. Hate to see what its like when busy. Doubt, Ill be returning

Been coming to Royal Saracens Head for a number of years and the service & food is always spot on!! It s child friendly and my child enjoys the food, being a fussy eater!! Food

Great food, great atmosphere with live music, great value on the wine and dine package(2 dine 3 courses for £100 including a bottle of wine). We both had Scollaps to start, Ribeye Steak main and Sicilian Lemon Tart for me and Espresso Martini for my wife as they let you swap desert for a cocktail. Superb service from the lovely Kayla and her colleagues

Friendly and welcoming staff. Very dog friendly. Good location and good atmosphere. Obviously popular with locals. Its quite a spacious gastro pub so its nice to feel like youre not eating on top of the next table. Food was ok, a little dry and overcooked (burgers, scallops, mushrooms starter). Service was quite efficient though, given how busy the pub was. Toilets clean. Only other thing that would have made it an even better experience would have been fresh water bowls for the dogs. Vegetarian options: There are a number of veggie options on the menu. Wheelchair accessibility: Good wheelchair access and wide spaces around tables. Disabled toilets right next to other toilets, easy access.

Had lunch here today a treat from my brother visiting from Ireland. My wife and sister in law had the salad one with king prawns ( probably only 2 or 3) and one with chicken (4 thin bland strips) I would be hard pressed to call it a side salad even absolutely miniscule seemed to consist of chopped cabbage and quarter of a tomato. The men had burgers adequate if not memorable. The wine was not cold also water lukewarm. We ordered a brownie ok but microscopic and cheeseboard 3 teeny tiny bits of cheese and 5 small biscuits. I did not complain as my brother is so generous and dosnt notice these things but I really think they need to rethink the portions. Having said that staff very pleasant and overall ambience very relaxing shame but wont be revisting this gastro pub. . Vegetarian options: Not applicable Parking: Good

It was really good. The staff were really helpful trying to sit me somewhere not too dog friendly as unfortunately for me it does exacerbate my asthma. I appreciate that people want to bring their pets, but it s not an ideal environment. The staff were super helpful lots of advise what was good on the menu etc. have been before. Appalling food. We went as a group and our friends had 2 young twins with them. The food for the twins took over 45/50 minutes and had to send back the chips as they were over cooked. When we ordered, they didnt have no burgers or lamb and no beef rib eye steak (at this point I wish I had got up and left). I ordered the fillet steak which was over cooked with Garlic and butter prawns. The prawns were NOT cooked in garlic and butter, rather just thrown on the pan with some salt and black pepper. The food took over 50 minutes for the adults during a time when they werent so busy. Dietary restrictions: none

Pretty good place, the staff was charming. Pizzas were great but it took a while for them to be made.

Despite having arrival problems (as part of our party had car trouble and was 30 minutes late) our reception was very warm and helpful. Our waitress was excellent. We ordered some of our food early for the arrival of our grandchildren - it was ready just as our grandchildren arrived. There was no problem with our adult orders.
