Brilliant food, and extremely delicious. Shame about the service. I placed a large order with Sajna over the phone for delivery, which arrived late. When I phoned them (twice!!) to chase this, I was greeted extremely rudely and whoever answered put the phone down on me mid call, saying “if you keep talking I will just talk over you.”. Disgraceful behaviour, and definitely not the service I would expect after spending £400 on food. The delivery driver was extremely apologetic, and delivered “apology food” - which were two of the missing curries! Not to mention that we did not receive all of our order, and that the person on the phone claimed that the “mixed veg side” and the “vegetable curry” were the same thing, as well as him being the only person running the restaurant when I called… sounds like a poor excuse for poor service. A shame, really, as the food was very good.
Never again, I have given them too many chances. Rang for takeaway at 5:55pm. Told 45 mins. Several phone calls later (the manager seems to have his story down to a fine art now as it’s the same thing every-time I order “it’s on it’s way, it’s left us, will be with you in five mins, il call driver and call you back” etc etc Finally arrived 1 hour and 45 minutes later. Will not be ordering from here ever again.
Please don't call a Bangladeshi restaurant as Indian and ruin the reputation of Indian food. This was the worst we've ever eaten!
Dinner was so incredibly good!! The best dal and mix veg I have eaten in a looooong time. The samosa and masala tea made my day <3
Our local Indian restaurant and it doesn’t disappoint. Have been here many time and have never had a bad meal. Service is lovely too.
Visited on Saturday having being recommended by a local. The food was absolutely amazing piping hot and full of flavour and excellent service. Makes me wish I was local as this would be my go to for a curry.
Had a brilliant takeaway via Deliveroo. Came fast, tasty, and hot. Can’t ask for more! Will become our new go-to for a decent curry night in! Thank you guys - I never write reviews but this was top notch.
The restaurant feels somewhat weathered and the ambience dated. Having dined in twice, I can say that the food is good and fares better, thankfully. Service is consistently lacking. Haven’t experience takeout service from here. Update (30-Jan 2023): take out travels well and the food doesn’t disappoint. Recommended.
Horrible food
Excellent takeaway always hot, on time and great quality food.
Food is really really good - delivery is always bad. We literally live less than 1 mile away and every time the delivery always longer than they say. Delivery always takes more than 45 minutes as well - makes no sense given the distance! If they could sort out their delivery issues they would be 5 stars.
Was a 5 star rating until today :( had a deliveroo delivery, had a missing item, rang them up, would not deliver the item or give a refund then hung up on me !! Rang back and was told to they could deliver it but not for 3 hours so speak to deliveroo, appalling attitude and customer service. Food was good as ever, but we are still hungry :( so very Disappointed, we love this restaurant.
Epic food and friendly service. We were a bit unsure due to some reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. Recommended
Very welcoming. Great food, music a bit over the top
Once again another excellent special byriani plus side salad, my favourite! Delivered within one hour! Thank You!
Not open during opening times listed online and on the door.
Amazing, would highly recommend!!!
I would be tempted to give no stars if I was able to. We ordered a malai curry as one of our main dishes (which is displayed on the chef specialities) and it was as good as it looks. Inedible. Reminded me of a Chicken pukka pie nightmare!
Added £2 delivery charge even though its advertised as free +£20. Spoke with restaurant, they said times were tough but threw in poppadoms? The delivery driver even said it was wrong. Misleading/False advertising plus food was minimal and lacklustre. Will stick to the usual next time and not order from them. Lesson learnt.
Ate here on the 8/10/22, waited 2 hours for the main course and after 1hour and 50 mins was told they had no mushrooms or spinach so one of the main dishes ordered could not be supplied, the other dishes were fine but the service was probably the worst I have ever experienced , eaten here about 10 times before and never had these issues, possibly a change of staff, we wont be back. It was frankly embarrassing.
Incredibly high prices for no good food at all, i can cook better than that myself. Ordered lamb balti and received onions and pepper with only one 2 piece of lamb in it. Wasted my 50 quids for nothing.
The worst experience Ive ever had with a take out.
6.30 pm bloody order. Numerous calls later but no food. It became a 9.30 pm food arrival. This .. After several phone calls promising food soon. By which time we had near finished cooking our own Indian meal. The food eventually arrived gone 9.30 but assured as hot & fresh . In fact, it was lukewarm and the order wrong. We did not, for example, order 3 Veg Biryiani s ! Poor .. just so very poor !!
Worst Indian food award goes to sajna you cant differentiate between dessert and main course , lemon rice doesnt taste like lemon all the lemon seeds were in rice , kashimiri chicken was so sweet I couldnt decide if its main course or dessert , raita- whole can of curd was shifted to take away container no salt or pepper not even onion just 4 slices of cucumber that too was sliced not even chopped disgusting, and how can i forget garlic naan ,oh my god if any Indian chef see or taste that naan I think he will vomit, it looks like I was playing treasure hunt with peshawari naan because I couldnt find any nuts and menu it says nuts and etc it was the first and last order of my life , dont take it negatively but this is not Indian food it was definitely a different cusine thank you . Chapati and mutter paneer was alright I hope it could be better . Whole team is hope less
Superb again. Cheers chaps, doing a great job of keeping me spiced up. I ll be back very soon.
Forget having a sit down meal on a Fri or Sat night, as even with just six tables the service is sloooooooow, as the constant stream of takeaway drivers get the focus. Food is very good, though a bit pricey these days.
Avoid home delivery. Ordered at 6pm for 8pm delivery. No show. 3 phone calls and promises of 1 min, 5 mins then 10 mins away. Offers of free Cobra beers next time don t stop children crying from hunger. Delivered 9.50pm, nearly 2 hours late.
Really good food. Piping hot takeaway, full of flavour. The sag aloo was light and tasty, and the brinjal bhaji the best Ive had. This was our first experience of Sajna and we were delighted.
Fantastic food, great staff been many times and had many a take aways.
great place
It maybe a good restaurant to eat in, but poor delivery, poor service and cold on arrival, not to mention half the order missing after 1 hr 35 minute wait! Then the rest if the order arrived 15 mins later cold! Will be going elsewhere after this experience of being a valuable customer since they opened.
Food was lovely and so was the staff
Superb food in a VERY comfortable setting, superb service.
Ordered takeaway. The delivery was on time, and the staff very pleasant. The meal however was fairly average. The curries and tandoori meat were a bit bland. Portion sizes were good, although the lamb dishes had less meat than the chicken dishes.
Did not offer Eat Out to Help Out discount at Tuesday lunchtime in spite of having the poster in the window and the terms of the offer being 50% off up to £10 no matter how much you spend. Very misleading.
Good service and lovely food
Great food however the delivery service is not that good. Often over 45 mins and frustrating when you ring and are told 5mins only for it not to be. Appeciate you are a small hard working establishment but the delivery service for which you pay needs work. Otherwise it would be a 5 star rating.
Friendly staff and great food. Will definitely be back!
Respectful and resonable
Little gem of a place
Small, friendly restaurant with efficient take-away option. Large portons best to share. Good value.
Lovely meal friendly staff.
Excellent. great food. very welcoming staff.spotless table linen we go there on average every 2weeks and have since it opened it is always full of regulars.small but comfortable this is our favourite Indian restaurant.
Eaten here a few times recently. Its small and bijou but food is good and staff friendly. Seems to have a thriving takeaway service.
Really nice food! Service is also very friendly! Best naan bread I ever had! Everything was very clean and hygienic!
Great food at affordable place. Restaurant is very small but very cosy. Well worth a visit.
Despite being extremely busy, the food and service was amazing
Check out the Chicken Naga.
Always good
Good value and friendly restaurant. Small but cosy.
Great Food and even better for take-always!
Wonderful food and service
By far the best Indian restaurant in Beaconsfield and probably the best in South Bucks. Absolutely excellent food and the welcome could not be warmer. Forget the rest, you wont be disappointed.
Great food, great service. Worth booking as often busy.
Terrible service, ordered over the phone and was told 30 minutes. Arrived after 30 minutes only to be made to wait an additional hour.
Great tasting food and very accommodating. Not much room so best to book.
Great food
Food was fine but nothing exceptional for the price. Could have got as good in High Wycombe for somewhat less. Nice small cosy venue though.
Amazing food and service
Beware of what you order as it will be all sauce and no meat and excessive oil ! Whats worse, is when you alert them if the fact, youll get a dismissive tone to say that theyve never ever had a complaint like that before :-( RUBBISH ! I reminded the restaurant that I had a choice and they did not ... it was obvious that the staff did not care and that the owner ANWAR, who is an amazing character (it has to be said) was not present. Im truly disappointed at the reaction and unsympathetic attitude of the staff he simply could not be bothered POOR dismissive service ! ... I wouldve given them a zero but it was physically not possible
Got the shits the next day and felt really sick. Not ordering from Sajna ever again.
Very friendly cosy atmosphere.
Friendly and try hard to please. Serving skills not the best but its an intermate place so like family. Beaconsfield prices not big servings but good food.
Fantastic food and fantastic staff. Small number of covers so best to book.
Great food but no draught beer.
