My friend and I came here about a month ago as we both live in the area and wanted to try somewhere new. We both ordered the Charcuterie board for two which was almost 30 quid, I originally thought it was a steal. However, the board itself was rather small and the portions were so small. There was a disproportionate amount of meat compared to cheese, served with a literal thimble of chutney. It was good but definitely not enough for two people, you could tell just by looking at the portions they were being stingy, and for the price it just felt like a scam. In addition, it came with nothing, no bread, no crackers (what was I supposed to spread that dollop of chutney on!). I confirmed with the server that it didn't come with bread and so had to spend an additional £4 on a 'bread plate', which was essentially a toasted flat bread the size of my palm cut into 4 thin slices. (had to order another one just so I would actually be able to share with my friend) The service wasn't bad but more like, non-existent. No-one came to check up on our table despite it being a very small restaurant. Ordinarily I wouldn't mind this but to be charged 12% service is a bit outrageous. The only time the server came to our table of his own accord, it was to give us the bill (after we'd been there for only an hour) that we didn't ask for as we were still chatting with our wine and debating ordering another glass as the alcohol seemed to be the only reasonably priced option on the menu. Safe to say we didn't order another.
Small portions , the carbonara had an average taste the large glass of wine was small
Food was excellent and our waitress was lovely! The only downside was the 2hour turnaround on tables. We had not even gotten halfway through dessert when we were basically ushered out. Not a great end to the night.
Very average and dull and disorganised. Much better to be found near by. Sorry.
They have extended their restaurant. The other part is a pizzeria. When they just opened for the day, I saw staff members bringing downstairs, frozen pizza bases. So the pizza bases are not made from fresh dough. I used to order the chocolate cake and it used to be accompanied with lovely Italian vanilla ice cream.i know the difference in taste compared to our local vanilla ice cream. But on one or two occasions there-after, the vanilla icecream given was a local clotted cream ice cream from our local supermarkets. Then after that when I went I made it clear with the female owner if she was sure the ice cream that was going to accompany the cake was going to be the Italian one and she reassured me a 100 times that yes it was going to be. But she lied and it wasn’t. It was the local one which I saw the tub of it too, a waitress was bringing it from one part of the building to the next. And when I pointed it out to her and said I told her only if it was going to be the Italian one, imported from Italy, the one I used to have before at their restaurant, then only will I order the cake too and why did she say yes. And her eyes popped out, her face went small and she blanked t with a quick sorry. We are vegetarians. We ordered the Prawn pasta without the prawns and they did not reduce the price. Was promised to get some money back when I visited next, but when I did visit next, that promise was put under the table. Another time I went for the same pasta, it was a pasta made from a previous order and there was left over and she asked me if I would love those additional ingredients in my pasta too and she made me feel special that they were going to make it esp for me but I was not a fool. It was left overs given to me on a clean plate, half the quantity, authentically served. And she profited form it. On another evening visit, my little son and I were the only customers there. Young female waitresses. They arrive into the restaurant, and start handling the food as soon as they take off their jackets. Keep fixing their hair and rubbing their faces and mouths. Not washing their hands and bringing food to the table. As soon as they get in, they start handling the food. No washing hands. One slim young blond waitress brought my food to the table and walked away with a stinking fart leaving behind. That caught my throat. How could I possibly eat that pasta there after. That sauce comes from the bottle. It is not freshly prepared. Those bottles of sauces are displayed by the window filled with cob webs. I complained about the fart After I left But no concessions made Everytime an apology and a promise. I can write a whole book about this place. I have a medical condition. An auto immune disease and so somedays I am hungry but don’t have the strength to cook and I like to go to the restaurant to unwind and I messaged the lady to say I hope I don’t get to experience all of that and pasta is made fresh for me from clean pots as I am a strict vegetarian And ice cream if not from Italy pls tell me. And she said she’s now tired of being a constant punching bag. And that I am banned from the restaurant in future. I received her message when I just reached Beaconsfield from Uxbridge. I especially drove to have a meal there. But I had to return home after receiving her text that I am banned. I then went to McDonald’s and got treated well and with honesty.
We popped in for an impromptu lunch and were really impressed with how authentic it was! Probably the best pizza I have ever had and my wife’s pizza was incredible too! We also ordered to lasagnes to take away and have for supper later which were also amazing even after reheating in the oven! The owner was passionate and engaging! Highly recommend 🍕 🍝 🍷
Atmosphere takes over everything is a place that i will come back for a evening night only for deserts, the vibe is incredible with all the italian products and candels as decoration, food prices are reasonable. For the chefs, dont take it wrong, the food was good, only the (Ragu pasta) needed more flavour, and by using only Ragu mince fells like a regular pork pasta. Im trying to give a suggestion to help im not commenting to give bad comments. Waiters: when leaving the shifts is good to aproach to the table and introduce your self when leaving the floor or starting the shift. like this i know to whom i know im been served with. It helps create an connection with the client and and the waiter..helps ( get more tips ). Ill be back for sure!!
Amazing foods, atmosphere and friendly service. I love being there and having a nice self treating night. They served me with garlic allergy with hospitality. Definitely 5 stars!
How wonderful to walk in to the look and smell of a wood fired oven with authentic calabrese ingredients. Will be back.
Restaurant allegedly open until 10pm, arrived at a less than half filled restaurant at 8:30pm on a Thursday night, and told that kitchen was due to close soon so we had to find elsewhere to eat. A bizarre experience.
I hope to be back at this restaurant again. It s such a lovely, cozy place with a special Italian vibe, beautifully decorated, with great service and delicious food.
Amazing food , lovely people and authentic surroundings. A real bonus for the Old Town
Deserve six stars!
It was closed on Friday 10th may
Burrata with pesto and truffle is phenomenal 10/10
I never review places but I am so disappointed and feel let down with this place. Popped in on Saturday for a lunch with my teen daughter, chose the Cacio a pepe as have just been to Rome and its a favourite of mine . What I got was quick cook fresh tagliatelle with cheese sauce, absolutely horrid, no pepper, and inedible! When I queried the lack of pepper the guy just pointed to the pepper grinder. Oh dear. Plus they included £4 service charge for what? Bringing me my plate? The first red flag was when they brought the food out in 3 minutes! Charged me £36 and I didnt even eat it. Never asked me why!
Always wonderful
Amazing food and friendly staff
Lovely cafe/restaurant. We had a short 15 mins to eat and they made us an amazing tomato, mozzarella, olive tapenade panini with rocket salad and cherry tomatoes. It was THE MOST delicious panini I have ever ever had. And the lady serving us was very lovely. The cafe decor was beautiful, felt like we went back in time. Definitely recommend!!
Great little café.
Really nice food and pleasant helpful staff.
Really lovely homemade food, great atmosphere and attentive staff. We will be back
Absolutely blown away, excellent service, friendly, food cooked the traditional Italian way, highly recommend anyone to try this beautiful restaurant, I was there last night and want to go back already, fantastic chef from Rome, she takes her time to go threw the dishes with you, excellent Parking: Car park opposite
A return visit to Prelibato. The best lasagna and Tiramisu after a memorial service in the church opposite. Thank you.
Good spot to meet up with friends, fairly small but good service and atmosphere. Simple and good food. Outside seating in good weather. Parking not too bad dependent on time of day. Wheelchair accessibility: Level threshold
Authentic and delicious Italian food. The pizza and tiramisu were amazing.
Sadly this restaurant which was once lovely has now slipped into the meh region of food establishments. Warm wine, average service, food which could have been so much better. Such a shame; as was once a favourite is now one to leave to the past.
Second time we have been in three weeks. Both times we were so impressed the most amazing food and the staff are so friendly and attentive. Felt like we were on holiday tonight, we all loved our food can t wait to return. My favourite place
Wonderful little authentic restaurant with great food and friendly helpful staff. We had a delicious pizza from next door and a delicious panini. The coffee is also very good. Love it!
A gorgeous little authentic Italian with the best Italian food and such great value!
Ate here yesterday with our two little boys. What a great address! Super nice owner and delicious food. We passed by here more or less by accident, but will definitely detour next time!
Wonderful people. Great service and fabulous, genuine Italian food.
Really nice Italian restaurant. Traditional Italian recipes and pizza to die for. spoke to the owner who was very chatty and nice... we sat outside table for 4 bill came to £110.
The owners are unhinged and should probably invest in therapy. McDonalds looks gourmet next to the dishes I (partially) Scranned. And Lastly I m pretty sure the carbonara gave me salmonella and it didn t even have chicken in it
Absolutely delicious food and great friendly service - we will definitely be back soon
Great food, great service
Amazing authentic Italian food in a lovely and cozy atmosphere. Book ahead to not disappoint! Will definitely be back for more
Great little place. 4 stars due 2 the need for more main ingredient.
Prelibato was the perfect Italian experience in Beaconsfield. Beautiful sunset in the background and as the evening sky changes its colours, we decided to have some Italian aperitivo experience. We ordered some burrata with pesto, as well as the scamorza which was the melted cheese with fig jam, some bread and scoffed away. The espresso and some dessert. Which was heavenly.
Had breakfast here in this cozy little restaurant. The croissants and panini were very nice, freshly baked. Nice coffee too.
Absolutely terrific little trat!
Incredible gem!! One of the best experiences and truly authentic food. Well worth it!
I Love this place. Fantastic atmosphere and the family who own it are such lovely people. Waitresses are friendly and welcoming. I will visit again and again
Waitress was hot, food was mid. Came back after a few weeks just to see that gorgeous waitress again, I ordered beef Ragu and I was probably better off going to Maccies for a quick egg and cress wrap. But I guess the food was 3/5. If you see this waitress, my DMS are wide open
Whenever I have eaten at Prelibato previously the food was fantastic, the venue relaxed & the service charming. I decided to try out their new pizzeria tonight and unfortunately their high standards have not transferred. The food was acceptable but the music was loud and the food service was slow. The table staff were polite however when it came time to pay I sat at my table for 10 minutes without an appearance. I calculated my order values and left cash+20% tip only to be chased down the street to be told that they do not accept £50 notes. When I asked why, I was told they do not accept old £50 notes despite them being legal tender until the end of Sept 22 and that I had to pay by debit card. There was no indication that cash payments were not accepted. Sorry Prelibato but you lost a loyal customer tonight.
Great place for coffee & homemade Italian cake. We must go back for pizza! Nice quiet spot to sit outside.
Terrible service, terrible food.
This is meant to be an Italian restaurant. Italian may I add. I am shocked. A very salty disgusting starter. Awful. It was meant to be roasted vegetables. Main meal was very ordinary pasta with tasteless mince, no garlic, no sauce . One hour it took to serve. According to the young man, this was a special menu and he explained how all the ingredients were bought from Italy. Excuse me, apparently they are specialists in certain dishes. I have been to Italy so many times and perhaps after covid standards have slipped here. The staff could dress more neatly and not scruffy jeans. This is not the Italian way.The Italians are king and queens of fashion. What a disappointment and insult to true authentic food. Please improve. Please do not go here. If you do, buona fortuna. It is better to fly to Italy and eat authentic food there. Its a great insult. The staff have no confidence at all. You need to train them please to speak with confidence. Awful. If you want to try out real genuine authentic Italian food, try Babbos in Mayfair, London. I have no idea who your chef is at Prelibato, but he or she needs to improve. Thank you for giving us upset stomachs. What a disgrace to my Italian friends. Imagine if you brought your Italian grandparents from Sicily here, do you think they would be impressed? Please stop it. Your menu lacks basic home made dishes, no chicken, potatoes or fish? Sure the pasta is organic but so what?Perhaps my standards are high but Italian food is high quality. Never again. What a waste of money for sure.
Great food and the manager and staff where very helpful. Could say it was the best service I ve had.
My partner and I visited Prelibato last year and absolutely loved it! We revisited this evening for an occasion and we were utterly disappointed. I found a hair in my starter, we couldn t finish the mains as the quality was awful (we don t usually complain or leave food). We left feeling ill and very disappointed. I don t know if there s a change in chef but the food last year was amazing. From my visit last year I recommended this place to all my friends but now I would not.
It was fine - high prices and the food was not particularly noteworthy.
I stopped here for coffee with friends on a Friday morning. Beware, the price of coffee advertised is not what they charge as they add a large service charge despite there being a lack of service. I had a hot chocolate which was luke warm and tasteless. I wont rush back.
Popped in for a coffee, but left having had a tremendous panini and a piece of pistachio cake. Small, but delightfully cosy, with great staff who clearly love what they do. They have also opened a pizza restaurant next door, which looked pretty good too. Actually, the panini should have been called a Panini Plus, it was that good.
Super little find! Initially I was looking for a local non-chain coffee shop. It has an amazing atmosphere, very cozy with very friendly staff. We only had coffee and wine, but on our way out noticed their adjoining Pizza restaurant, it looked so cozy, we will definitely go back to try out their menu Parking: Easy to park right outside
Really good coffee, excellent service
Bit of a joke. 22£ for two really bad sandwiches a 2 cans of drink. Didn t even want to eat the second half of my sandwich
We had a pasta dish, burrata salad and cheese and meat plate and it was all excellent. Service was very good and the meal was excellent value.
Exquisite food, it couldnt be better. The place is very cozy and the treatment is very good. Everything perfect.
This beautiful cafe oozes personality and the food is exceptional. Traditional, Italian food - which even extends to croissants. Lovely owners, so glad they made it through lockdown as this place is a real gem.
Lovely coffee and cake
Cute Italian family restaurant, delicious pasta dishes!
Good quality food, bit pricey but worth it
Lovely little restaurant. Delicious food
Terrible experience. The pasta (beef ragu) was awful, dry and tasteless. Requested a refund but was refused.
Fantastic Italian food
One of the Best best Italian restaurant . Booking in advance is a must
Exceptional food and service! Very good value! Lovely ambiance and attentive staff!
Our absolute favourite Italian, amazing food, drink and service! We didn t think it would be possible but every time the food seems to get better and better!
Prelibato is the place for some authentic home cooked Italian cuisine. From traditional cannoli to full on pasta dishes, everything is brimming with rustic charm and intensity. Lunches are a speciality with a diverse range of interesting and tasty filled pannini as well salads and platters. Excellent coffee and great cakes satisfy those that cant wait for lunch. Prelibato also sell a range of the highest quality charcuterie, cheeses, wines and s whole host of very fine delicatessen products. All of this in a tiny cafe, oozing atmosphere and run by a special family.
Delighted to pop in and enjoy a fabulous Italian lunch. The food was delicious and all the staff are very friendly
Excellent Italian food and coffee!
lovely genuine people who are passionate about their food offering. Food was superb and very unique specials. Great relaxed atmosphere and the wine is great too
Fantastic authentic Italian food Cosy lovely atmosphere Lots of social distancing And excellent service
Have discovered this little place not long ago. May be I should keep it secret :-). Coffee is perfect (I like it strong but rounded and with smooth notes), their food is delicious and packed with flavours. I have only been for coffees/brunch and had a superb toasted foccacias with pancetta, mozzarella and tomatoes They also have great cakes, croissants, biscuits. I can t wait to go for dinner soon :-).
Great authentic Italian food
Excellent coffee and just the right atmosphere, its a haven and a chance to get away from home!
Disappointing. Authentic Italian, but the quality is dreadful. Lasagna was terrible, smothered in cheap cheese and flavorless sauce like Dolmio. Caponata was drenched in oil. Both of us had dodgy tummies - of course I can t prove anything...just seems coincidental. You really could have done a better...pity as the ambiance is pleasant.
Tried out this little restaurant twice now. Both times the food did not disappoint. The only down side was portion size. My husband ordered the pork stew (delish) but arrived in a tapas equivalent dish with two small pieces of bread. For just under £15 not worth it! If they can fix this they re really onto a winner! I hope they don t assume just because it s Beaconsfield people will pay more for less..!
Good food
We had an absolutely fabulous late lunch here today! Delicious homemade dishes and a cosy and friendly atmosphere. The desserts were truly outstanding, my daughter particularly enjoyed her hazelnut and lemon cannoli from Scicily and mum the pistachio Tiramisu! One of the nicest and most relaxed meals Ive had in a long time, thank you!
Went in with my wife for just a coffee and cake today and the first thing that impressed us was the extremely warm welcome from the owner and his family. The coffee was great, as was the lemon drizzle cake, but probably the best thing about our visit was the lovely, warm and inviting atmosphere. We will be back!
Had a great meal last night and the hostess Christina was lovely (I want that watch !) ;-)
Lovely truly authentic Italian ambiance and cuisine, highly recommend to italian food lovers
Limited seating makes for an cosy atmosphere. Good selection of tasty dishes and wines. Attentive service and the Manager took time to talk to us. Would visit again.
Would give 10 stars if I could. Fabulous atmosphere, staff and food.
Italian restaurant and deli. The paninis here are delicious with a wide selection of more unusual and different fillings. Lots of cakes are on offer including a number of traditional Italian sweet specialities. Service is friendly but rather slow, this is not a place to go if you are in a hurry!
Lovely food, cake and good coffee. Stylish yet casual. Very friendly family run this restaurant/cafe/deli/winebar
Really good aubergine parmigiana to be had at this lovely cafe. Also dont miss the canoli
The ambience is great, no doubt. The breakfast coffee was mediocre. The warm croissant - AWFUL: when you take a frozen croissant, put it in microwave on super high heat for a few minutes, you get a thick rubbery substance that requires a bulldog s premolars to tear into. They charged me a cool £2.80 for that. Absolutely ruined my Saturday morning. So, don t be fooled by the ambience.
Cute TRADITIONAL Italian reasturant. We arrived for dinner, ordered a mix selection of entrees which were very nice. The menu was very limited but the host was amazing & explained each item on the menu in detail for us as it was a bit difficult to understand and read. The pasta was very basic, dry, not much flavour apart from the Parmesan sprinkled over the top & was portioned quite small.. which was disappointing for the price.
So excited to have this gem of a place open up on our doorstep! Fantastic charcuterie and delicious coffee, will be back very soon.
This restaurant ticks every box. Fantastic food, beautiful decor and a lovely, welcoming staff. I would recommend anyone in the area to take the time to try this gem. Bravo guys
Excellent food , great service. A must if your in the area.
Lovely Italian Place.. good selection of wine and the food has a meaning! Enjoy the story about it told by the lovely owners. Burrata with anchovies is now one of my favourite combination. Sure I will be back here when nearby.
Great little place for coffee and good food
Have been there three times this week, my first time for breakfast which was light and delicious. The coffee is the best in town. Last night four of us went for a girlie dinner and the food was great from the starters to the amazing pear tart, so light! The family that own the place are friendly and want to build a local spirit. I own a business in Beaconsfield and its nice to find like minded people.
Thank you so much for a fabulous morning on Friday ! Nine ladies celebrated our friend Denise s birthday and it was a perfect venue. We had coffee/ tea and a delicious selection of cakes and savoury treats ! Service was fantastic with many personal touches. We will certainly be returning this refreshingly unique restaurant ... Highly recommended
Excellent friendly quality food and excellent service a delightful place to eat, highly recommended
