Great event space for our small family Christmas party. The server kept us all organized and gave us plenty of time to visit too.

Food is always great. You cant beat the service. From the bartenders to the wait staff. They make you feel at home . Highly recommend this place

The chicken parmigiana was tasteless The pasta it came with was no better Little cheese on the chicken and next to no sauce 2 tiny pieces of garlic bread looked like cut from very end of bread You could literally see through it it was so thin No vegetables or salad Others in the group had perch which they said was good Steak also was tasteless tuff and chewy Service was good but when asked for water for the table it didn t come until everyone was done eating Sorry to say I won t go back

I had the Thanksgiving Day special which was absolutely delicious. I told Ashley our server that if this served at home Id be going for second helping.

we went this Sunday and were very disappointed. it was not busy at all and it took about 50+ minutes to get 2 basic appetizers....wings and salad...like almost an hour wait... our kids were going crazy because it meant having to wait even longer for the actual food to come..so after an hour the waitress comes and ask shall i put your order through?... like...what !!? there was no way that could have been miscommunicated, so really really bad. the salmon was horrible as well, really tough. she came without the cravy one of us asked with the fries. no cutlery, that we grabbed ourself from the front. asked for a new ketchup bottle that was empty and didnt come...so i grabbed one myself , a to go box we asked that also didnt come, so again we had to get it ourself....it was just really bad (and it was not busy,, not sure what the waitresses were doing.....) really bad service and not one sorry from them for the delay or anything..she actually gave a very mild attitude about it.... so disappointing when you take the whole family out to end your week, and it goes like this. The bill should have been cut in halve by management... Dont think we will be back here unfortunately unless there was some crazy special in future.

Chicken wings were horrible. Not crispy, huge but not in a good way with soggy skin and the meat was mushy, and they weren t hot. The manager did remove them from our bill but I lost my appetite to get anything else. My guest said her perch and fries were good. Food

I was a bit disappointed with the food. My wife and I ordered the summer burger and it was dry and tasteless. We have had it before and it was not the same. We noticed that the burgers are getting smaller as well!

Portions were a little on the diminutive side but the $5.00 16oz. Landshark draft beer made up for the smaller portions. The food was tasty, my partner had the perch tacos, I had the Cowboy burger. So, can anyone tell me why a craft brewed beer is $8-$9 served in a glass. The same beer in a 16oz. can is $3.75 at the beer store. I think it is time to start calling the brew pubs for their wildly overpriced beer.

My brother and I make have made this an annual outing as he is from Pickering. We always share the calamari and we were very disappointed. It used to be real but now looks like processed sticks?? And the sauce was just tartar sauce and not the sweet chili anymore. Dont think we would order again. My brother had the perch dinner which looked and tasted excellent. I had a chicken caesar salad that was soggy and had dry, overdone chicken. People seated behind us asked about chicken wings and they dont carry anymore??? May have to find a new favorite place.

Our go to for outdoor dining by the water. Brought the wife and two kids this past week for dinner. I had the blackened salmon. Delicious. Been going for years. Haven t stopped.

My Mom and I come here often - its one of our favorites! And we typically always get the Lobster and Crap Wontons and the perch dinner. Sometimes well each get the 3 pc, and sometimes we will split the 5 pc. No matter if we eat outside in the covered porch area or outside near the boats, we always have had great service and great food! Cant wait for our next visit! :)

From what used to be one of THE best restaurants in town, the quality of food has taken a downhill turn recently. The perch is still top notch but everything else tastes like it comes from the frozen food section at the grocery store.. the fries, the pizza, the deep fried pickles. Why change what was once a good thing?

I ordered the chicken parmesan. There was a piece of cheese that might have measured 2x2 on my chicken. There was supposed to be garlic bread served with it, when the waitress came back I asked for it and then she disappeared. Came back and asked her again and then she informed me they were out. Our meal came with 0 condiments, fir fish and pasta, asked for salt and pepper and recieved 2 peppers. The place might have had 30 people on it. Cant wait ti see when it is busy. I feel sorry fir those patrons. They have since contacted me and are in the process of making things right. I thank the manager for reaching out to us . We will return for another meal.

it is seat yourself so it took a bit to be noticed and when we were finally approached the waitress she said the only menus were by a scan or on a tablet so we left. I dont want the stress of trying to order from an electronic device when I am trying to relax with a nice evening out thank you

Great location and new owner/management seems to be getting back to the fresh ingredients like in the past. Have heard so many raves about the bread pudding (which is not listed on the menu ). Everytime, i seem to miss out as they have already sold out. Oh well, i guess i will have to suffer through the creme brule again. I will agree with some other reviews regarding the scan menu. I just like a hard copy that i can flip through instead of using my phone (if on me and charged or using a tablet) i dont want to have to think on how to navigate my choices. Hopefully they can print just a couple for picky jerks like me! Long live printed menus!

Never heard of this place despite living in Windsor for over 30 years. My fiance ordered nachos through Uber eats but no driver showed up to pick up the order. The manager gave us a gift card for our troubles (certainly not the restaurants fault or responsibility). We just recently visited for the first time. Even though the place was packed, the service was outstanding. Everything we ordered was delicious and I would be shocked if they arent turning potatoes into fries in the kitchen. Great food, great staff, great atmosphere. Youve earned another patron. Thank you for making our evening so enjoyable. Closed on a Monday during operating hours without updating their website or hours online. Drove 30 minutes to find them closed for maintenance. Very unprofessional and disappointing.

Wonderful service again, and a great atmosphere.... lively and social. If you want quiet and romantic maybe not for you. Great for celebrating and getting together with friends. Only reason for 4 star for food is because husbands steak a little over done, and garlic shrimp had no garlic though cooked perfectly. Was pricey but it included drinks and tip and tax for three people.... actual food price very reasonable.

Very long wait for food. 3 out 5 people at table wasnt happy with food. Steak was too salty, creole fettuccine was very water down with no flavor. Perch was terrible. Waitress was the only good thing. Definitely wont be going back!

Wonton nachos are amazing.

Ordered through Door Dash as I received a Door Dash coupon and believe it recently became available in my area. Sand Bar was one of the very few choices available. Ordered a dinner for 2 (came with salad, arranchini, choice of 2 mains and brownie). Total with tip and coupon came to $57. Have never been so impressed with a takeout meal! So much food for the price and quality taste. Have eaten there in person before, but was super impressed with the take out. Only suggestion is to offer a vegetarian option in the entree selections ;) Photo is of an arranchini. Size of a tennis ball and there were 3!

We used to order here frequently... they used to have a kids perch which made it perfect for our family. We didnt mind the increased prices given inflation but now they have removed all the healthy kids options from the menu. They charge $9.50 for a kids burger with fries but if you want to add condiments like lettuce or tomato be prepared to pay $1.00 extra. On top of that their site rarely works to order. Its unfortunate since it used to be the place we would order all the time... Well be going to Kelseys now where I can add items to the kids burger and get to choose salad or vegetables as sides with a cookie for less... Happy to return if the healthy kid options return as well...

The food was great, the service was excellent, and considering it was a little cool the day we visited, you were welcome to enjoy the outside service as well. Great experience! I m not going to go into a long tirade about my dinning experience. Instead I ll hit a few key points. Apparently menus are not available. You are directed to a QR code on a corner of the table. Of course, no one tells you this. Condiments need to be requested at the time your order is placed. In fact salt and pepper shakers are not even present. I might assume by the empty ketchup bottle, presented with the meal, there is some sort of condiment shortage I wasn t aware of. Fish (Halibut & Perch) previously frozen. The soggy texture is something to behold. No seasoning was used in the over frying of these poor fish. The whole vibe was strange. From the empty table top to the broken plastic basket the $28 meal was served in. You can t dip your toe in the full service restaurant biz. You re either all in, or simply a fast food outlet. PS the server was attentive and this review is not a reflection on him. He is only doing what he is told and serving what is given him.

Went to the sandbar waterfront restaurant after our 3hr boat rental. The place was nice. Our server Ashley was very good. The food was mediocre. I had the perch basket with sweet potatoe fries. Fries were good but the perch had no taste.

Took my girlfriend there for date night. Service by Crystal was second to none. Our order was spot on. She never let our water glass get below half. They were a bit busy so we had a significant wait between app and main so the manager picked up the apps and dessert. Great service, staff , food and atmosphere. We will definitely be back and the Greek yogurt raspberry cheesecake was phenomenal. Great job Sandbar

June 17 2023 I would like to address that our waitress was good and this review does not reflect on her. Our evening started with us receiving plates with hard dry crust on some of the plates, which kind of disgusted us at first. Later we get to ordering our food and the chicken fricassee apparently ran out of rice? And we had the option for rice noodles or fettuccine noodles, which didn t even taste good in the end because they were just buttered with no seasoning whatsoever. As for the atmosphere, we were heading towards the bathroom and as we walked back to our table I overheard some waitresses complaining about us and being over it with us being in their vicinity because of our heels tapping the floor as we walked. The food was not worth the price for how dry and flavourless it was. Our special occasion was ruined by the waitresses inside. Honestly if you do go here, I d recommend the appetizers over their main menu since it tasted way better. That s it for my review for my first visit to the sandbar. Thank you to your only Asian waiter that made our night by being so nice to us and letting us take pictures.

Had a lovely dinner and cocktail hour at The Sandbar. Staff were completely accommodating when I inquired about a mockarita version of their coronita margarita - this mama-to-be was quite happy! The food was delicious (our group raves about the burgers and I the perch tacos were super fresh!) and the atmosphere on the patio was great. This was our second time back in 2 weeks, we will be back! Dietary restrictions: Great mocktails!

Food is hit or miss. They cook their fries in the same oil as coconut shrimp, so be aware if you have shellfish allergy. Waited 15 minutes after we were seated for a high chair that never came, so we went and got it ourselves even after asking twice. Go here for the atmosphere and the friends you want to be around.

Normally, I love this place, however, I came in from boating and brought an energy drink inside not knowing they had rules but I agreed to not drinking it. The one woman, had disturbed us eating numerous times to ask if I was drinking it. It was ridiculous.

Let me start off by saying, Im not trying to bash this restaurant. I really wanted to love my experience here and its been a long time since Ive been to the Sandbar. Ive heard mixed reviews but I tried to go with a totally open mind and form my opinion based totally on my experience today. That being said, I give this a 5/10. The food wasnt bad, it just wasnt good. There were parts of the meal I really liked but more of it I didnt. We got the calamari as an app. Which was delicious but was not hot when it came out and had about 3 peppers in the whole dish (which I believe was suppose to have jalapenos and red peppers). Other than that it was honestly delicious and cooked perfectly. My husband had the steak, which although it was a perfectly cooked med rare, was not the quality youd expect for a $38 dollar entrée. The veg was also mediocre, but the fries were great! I got the jambalaya which unfortunately for me was a miss. But let me say that the mussels, shrimp and white fish in the dish were perfectly cooked, not overdone and delicious despite their lack of seasoning. The Andouille sausage was absolutely not even close to Andouille, and the broth tasted like an unseasoned plain tomato sauce. I was waiting for a nice spicy Creole Cajun sauce and was very disappointed. This dish was also 80% rice Lastly, my mojito was great but my husbands virgin Caesar came warm and was also extremely basic. All in all, Id love to give this place another chance but this was not a great experience. The food and atmosphere did not reflect the prices on the menu and thats where the real disappointment comes in. However, our waitress Sarah was great.

I really heard and expected great things but I was pretty disappointed. We sat on the covered patio which was okay, the tables were a little wobbly and dirty. But the food is the important part and it just didn t hit the mark, we got the Calamari Friti as an appetizer and it was good but not amazing. For entrees we got the Halibut baskets at $29 each, halibut is pretty hard to mess up so I was very disappointed when I got a tiny dry piece of fish. I just expected better from the price points they are offering. Parking: Lots of parking, may have to walk a bit though.

Food was fine. The host was running around seating and serving water to everyone. When we asked him to tell our waitress we were ready; he came back and took our order and brought our food. The only time we saw a waitress was when she came by to ask if we needed anything else and to bring us the bill. It wasnt that busy in the restaurant. The patio seemed filled . I felt like not giving a tip at all but ended up giving a small tip but certainly not the 20% I would have normally given. If I knew the tip was just going to the guy who served us then I would have given more. Basically I felt the waitress was too busy to care about us. I would have given one star for the service but the 2 was because of the host service.

Brought a friend here from Mexico. Stopped in for lunch while out for a bike ride. Its a nice place, especially if you get a table outside by the docks. Had some muscles and a few beers. Muscles were pretty good. Walkerville beer is always good.

Food was good. When we arrived they sat us by the door even though our name was on a nice table in the centre of the patio. When I asked to move there they said it was a mistake and our name was on there by accident. Needless to say no one sat there the whole time we were there. Felt like we didnt matter even though it was an 87th birthday celebration. Disappointed You can be better. Brian

Was there on a Saturday 2 weeks ago. Food was Luke warm and both dishes weren t up to the normal standards. Jambalaya was very soup like and my food wasn t great and portions were small. I go quite often and always love my experience, just not on this occasion. It was busy and we were pressed for time so we just ate and left. As usual the service was excellent. Just very disappointing for what we paid

Lovely place to have lunch while enjoying the serenity of nature. Food was ok, the caesar was amazing. Our server, Jynessa, was fantastic. She made sure we were well taken care of and was super nice. If I am ever around that area I will stop in for a drink and to think about the good times Ive had in my life so far.

After renting a pontoon, 8 of us went in for dinner. It seemed like our server has too many tables. Food was good.

We visited the Sandbar on lunch and of course we were very satisfied with the delicious food. The portions were great and we left feeling full! Our server was friendly and attentive. Now most people these days have a smart phone with a camera that can scan QR codes, but if you dont have one or know what a QR code is, you might struggle with the menu. Its all online and no physical menu (or maybe they have some behind the bar, that I dont know). Either way I like the idea but this is your friendly public service announcement. What a wonderful experience last night! We ordered the crab and lobster nachos and it was sooooo good. Lots of pieces of the seafood and super delicious wonton nacho! This appetizer could be a meal on its own! I was craving simple food last night so got an order of wings with a side caeser salad. The salad was incredible! Great dressing, lots of bacon bits and lots of cheese. Very fresh. The wings were also surprisingly good! I didnt have high hopes as it seems like most people come here for the fish and seafood but the wings were large, had great flavour!! We will come again!

Its nice restaurant, you can bring your little dog in the new patio. The service was great, the food could be better, my chicken sandwich was burned

Drinks and appetizers for a very late lunch were terrific. The Sandbar Cesar was very special. Maybe too much ice, because a lot left when finished. It was soooo good!

We had reservations for outdoor seating...a little hot that day and was nothing available inside. Overall the food was good and great service.

My wife and I came to the Sandbar for the first time today.. We waited 40 min on a Tuesday and no waitress came to serve us. Not even water!!! We were extremally disappointed and walked out.

They couldnt have picked a better place to place to start off this celebration for their marriage. Id say 6 starts, but 5 will do.. Great job Sandbar, we will be back..

This place was at a lovely location on the waterfront, and I was quite excited to try it out as it was listed as a seafood restaurant. I was quite disappointed that the menu (in terms of seafood) was limited to various types of fish and chips apart from a single salmon dish. There was nothing overly exciting there, so I settled for a burger that included brie cheese and bacon jam. This was quite disappointing and bland despite the description, and I didnt end up finishing it. As much as Id like to give the place another shot, the menu was so underwhelming (as far as mains) that I dont think Ill be back. I will admit that the appetizer we recieved (wonton nachos) was very tasty. It may have been worthwhile to just order a bunch of appetizers and call it a day. The server was very friendly and courteous, but somewhat forgetful and got a number of things wrong when we ordered (on multiple occasions).

Upon arrival the staff were friendly and polite.. seated us right away, they got our drinks and took our order when ready. The food was brought out in good time. The food looked great and was delicious. With the restaurant right on the docks was a great view as we relaxed and ate dinner.
