We recently had the pleasure of working with BayLeaf to cater our staff Christmas party, and I can’t recommend them enough! From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. The food was absolutely delicious. We had a variety of options and everything was a hit! Huge portion sizes for an exceptional price and the biggest compliment of all - no leftovers! Our staff had nothing but compliments about the quality of the meal. The service was also exceptional. This is not our first time working with BayLeaf, Hardik and his team are always incredibly professional, prompt, and accommodating. Thank you, to the BayLeaf family, for making our holiday celebration so memorable! We will definitely be reaching out for future events and recommending you to others.
HORRIBLE FOOD ! I wish i would have reviewed the bad comments first before going in today. For main course we ordered Tadka daal and Bhindi with Lacha paratha and garlic naan. Bhindi was Stale as you can see in picture and was full black as it was highly overcooked. On the other hand. Lacha paratha it also look like stale and raw from inside. I spent over $85 but not even a single penny was worth. Went there for the occasion of the birthday and spoiled our day.
First time at this restaurant. We arrived for dinner - around 6PM. We were promptly seated and provided menus. I always like a restaurant that brings you water beforehand! The interior was nicely decorated, for a modern feel. Also, not sure if the restaurant is aiming towards fine dining (which could be argued based on the decor), but if that’s the case, perhaps the music should be turned down a bit. My husband ordered the lamb curry and I ordered the butter chicken. We both got two different types of naan (coriander and cottage cheese filled). Food came out in a timely manner and tasted great! Portion sizes for dine in was appropriate- we did feel quite full afterwards. I would say usually, we have some leftovers to take home when going to other Indian restaurants, so I can see how portion sizes might be ranked a bit smaller than typical. Service though, was a bit scattered.
Today i ordered kadai chicken and one naan and it cost around 25$ and what they offered is in the picture. I specifically told them that make it extra spicy and it taste sweet. It's not worth for the price 4$ for just one naan. Big disappointment this time.
BayLeaf Restaurant is Fantastic! From the moment I made the reservation to our arrival, the food and the service was perfect. We have had many encounters with Indian food from different regions. At Restaurants and Friends' events, we tested what people from India call the best Naan, the best Biryani, and the best Butter chicken, among other things. Since we are not from India, we enjoyed and nodded. Last night, we tried what we thought was the best of the best in every dish we ordered. We found the perfect spiciness and flavour in a mouth-watering lamb curry, Paneer tikka, Chicken 65, and much more. The service at BayLeaf was beyond our expectations. The owner's thoughtful gesture of placing a personalized happy birthday sign for my son added a special touch to our dining experience. The elegant yet relaxed atmosphere further enhanced our visit. We are eager to return to BayLeaf to explore more of their delectable menu.
Food was excellent 👌 very flavourful. Medium spice there is likely to be hot in your opinion. Service was extremely pleasant and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Bathrooms were relatively tidy. Closes at 8pm
The experience and the food was good . The flavour of the all the food we got was very well done . The naan was very well done . The plain and garlic naan was very good . It was soft . The butter chicken was very good the flavour was very good . They were very accommodating with the food when it came with the spice levels . They listened to what we had to say . Only recommendation is that there should a high chair for small children as it was hard to dine with an infant in our hands. Our server Joseph was very nice and accommodating. 8.5/10
I was pleasantly surprised and delighted to find this lovely restaurant. Loved the ambiance and the hosts! Also the food was amazing ! We ordered veg biryani and tandoori chicken which took 30 minutes as it's freshly bbq'd after you order! So you can imagine how scrumptious it must be ! Enjoy this beautiful experience!
Great place to have a nice 14th wedding anniversary meal at food was wonderful and server was polite and friendly
Last night it was easy my 5th time dining here. We love the authentic food, the bar-like atmosphere and we had a quick attentive service from Krishna. One tip from experience: Dont get seated near the door, since it might get drafty giving current winter-temperatures. However, we WIII be back - because we have not yet discovered and enjoyed all menu options. Vegetarian options: Ask your server, they will be very happy to explain all options. Parking: Either directly in front of the restaurant or about 100 meters to the left is a large parking lot.
Worst place to have food. Pls dont waste your money guys. Spoiled naan and less quantity.
Great place and great food.
Great food and amazing staff.
Called on Tuesday to verify they were open Friday at noon, they said yes but when we showed up at 12:05 they were closed. Called and their message confirmed their hours of opening on Fridays was noon. Drove in from Frankford specifically to eat here. Wont be back
A good restaurant with good service
Went there to celebrate Diwali with my husband at around 6 and they told us the appetizer will take 25 mins and it will come with our main course meal. The main course meal came first and we finished it. Then they told us if they could do our appetizer as a take out cause they wanted us to leave. The server and the chef were speaking so loud I could hear the chef saying that he wants to go home early so he really doesn t want to cook it and he will take his time if he has to. We left hungry and it was my Diwali dinner, which sucked. I wish I had chosen another restaurant. Felt like they only want to cater to white folks.
I traveled an hour to the restaurant for dinner, online it was showing that its open till 9pm but they were closed at 7.15pm. Very disappointed
Great food, I definitely recommend the Tawa chicken, or baingan masala!!! Yummy.. Food : 5/5
Even though place is open till 9pm they wont take orders after 8:30pm.
serves very tasty food. I loved the atmosphere
Amazing ambience with great quality of food in downtown belleville!!!
The taste of Daal tadka and Paneer curry took me straight back to authentic Indian Dhaba style taste of food Highly recommend Food
Great atmosphere, friendly service, delicious food! Very pleased, and excited that Belleville has more delicious Indian food to offer!
Ordered on uber eats. (We re from out of town) my daughter explained it as this must be the Cuban version of Indian food She nailed it. Naan was undercooked. Curries under seasoned. I d say the butter chicken was on the watery side. Ive never had to add salt to my Indian food before, but did tonight.
Belleville. Not my favourite place to be. Needed to eat something good. This was the best choice. Great chicken biriyani. Reasonable price great quality and good service. Maybe the best place to eat in Belleville.
We had lovely meal - spicy butter with rice and Naan bread mmm
Worst food ever. Had ordered paneer chilli and chicken chilli, I have no words to describe the quality of food. It was read colour with same ingredients and sweet in test. Also had ordered veg biriyani and the quayof food is even worse, again the colour is red with no raaita. I would say just avoid this restaurant and select any other. I want my reimbursement of the money that I wasted.
The restaurant was beautiful inside. Food was delicious and fairly priced - $40 for 2 people. Staff were super nice. Definitely my new spot to get Indian food.
Excellent Indian food, very authentic! We really enjoyed the naan (they have a tandoori oven), butter chicken, biryani and kadai
Food was fantastic!
Bey Leaf is fantastic! Their Paneer Butter and Chilli Garlic Naan is a must-try. The staff is friendly, and the cozy atmosphere makes it a great spot to enjoy authentic Indian food. Highly recommend!
We recently visited your restaurant for a second time, hoping to give it another chance after our initial experience was less than satisfactory. As it was a fairly new establishment, we wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, our visit yesterday was quite disappointing. We ordered a dahi lassi, which was spoiled. When we informed the server, she simply took it away with a casual oh, without offering a replacement or any alternative. To our surprise, we were still charged for the drink we didnt consume. Additionally, we had to request cutlery and napkins after our food was served, as they were not provided. The naan we received was burnt and inedible, and the kadhai paneer contained only three small pieces of paneer, swimming in oil. Ive attached an image for reference. The entire experience, which cost us $100 including the tip, was highly disappointing. Weve decided not to return to this restaurant and would rather drive further to dine at Mint Leaf in Kingston, where the food quality and service are significantly better.
Great food that reminded me of some of the better Indian restaurants in downtown Toronto. Pleasantly surprised and the price for the generous portions was very reasonable.
Worst food, worst service. They took the order and didn t even offer water. Main course came before starters and rumour is that they didn t even gave us pates to eat. Main course came before plates .
Authentic and super spicy Indian restaurant. Yummy
Paid a visit with our son to Bayleaf, Bellevilles newest restaurant. Weve been waiting forever for our city to have an authentic Indian restaurant and this surpassed our expectations. The flavours of every dish we ordered were amazing. Been to some very good restaurants in both the UK and in India, and the food here was as good as it gets. Kudos to the chef and his staff, we cant wait to return! :) Have had additional visits and takeout dinners. Can see that the quality can vary and service can be slow at times. Often because of under staffing and management not helping out. No question they shouldnt be hanging around or eating and being a distraction if they arent going to be of any help. However that being said, recently ordered takeout and the food was absolutely delicious! Think well probably stick to takeout from now on to avoid the nonsense at the restaurant, though sad because its a beautiful place.
My partner and I went out this evening for the first time to BayLeaf and we will certainly be back! Our server Noor was so sweet and made lots of great suggestions. It wasnt very busy and she told us theyre busiest on the weekends. Beautiful decor inside and very clean. We really enjoyed our meal and are so full we can barely move (our fault for eating too much but it all was so tasty). We got Tandoori Mushroom to start and there was some kick to it but very flavorful and plenty to share. We also got the Lamb Curry and Baingan Masala with Jeera rice and Garlic Naan. The lamb was very tender with some good heat (we had medium). Id never had the Baingan Masala before but it was sweet(think like caramelized onion sweet not sugar) and savory and went so well with the garlic naan. We were going to skip dessert but Noor suggested we try the Gulab Jamun and Im glad we listened to her. It was fresh and served hot which I wasnt expecting from a dessert. Overall we were very happy with our visit. We hope to come back soon, thank you to Noor and all the lovely folks working in the kitchen this evening.
Went here for the girl friends birthday, and had a great time. The food was great and the atmosphere amazing. Our server Noor was fantastic, and we will go again.
Great food, service, and atmosphere! Loved the pakora cauliflower bites and the dipping sauce that accompanied them was delicious! The eggplant dish I had was also wonderful, its the first time Ive seen baby eggplant used. The leftovers I brought home were just as delicious! Vegetarian options: All the food I ate was vegetarian.
Tasty and authentic cuisine!
Food was ok but we ordered chicken Biryani and there was just a few small pieces of chicken among lots of rice. The naan bread was burned. No value for money. It was disappointing.
Not really sure what some of these reviews are on about. The place does not look run down, and the food is delicious. We were looking for a last minute dinner spot as our train ran late into the night, and this was one of the only places open. They close at 10PM so I was kind of wary coming in at 9:30 as I didnt want to be that kind of customer, but they welcomed us in with no issue. We ordered and got served within 10 minutes, and the food was delicious. If theres one thing Id like to see, itd be bigger naan portion sizes for the price, but thats a small thing that didnt detract from the overall experience. Id come here again any day.
We ordered takeout twice from this restaurant & we were severely disappointed both times. Very less quantity for the price & too much oil. Also, taste was next to bland both times even if we mentioned we wanted spicy. We were alarmed at the quantities of oil floating in the curries too. Pricing way too high for the quantity given too.
Got takeout tonight and fairly disappointed. Food was OK tasting, but there were maybe 5 small pieces of chicken in the $18 butter chicken. Seems expensive for a container of sauce. Same with our curry, and $5 for one piece of Naan with raw garlic on top... Typically not one to complain about portion sizing but there is just no bang for your buck here.
pleasant place to have a good food time with your loved ones because of good vibes and best staff!!
Fantastic Eastern Indian cuisine. Flavors, presentation, service. Excellent! Great addition to Bellevilles Downtown. Parking: Free after 5 in the Public lot across from City Hall
Great place to eat the people were really nice go eat some great food we wanted something different to eat and boy oh boy it was delicious and different
Very surprised to see mainly good reviews as our group did not experience this. Very slow service, our drinks (just pop and 1 glass of wine) didn t come until minutes before our entrees. They were out of multiple things which required several trips back and forth upstairs for our server to tell us this. After putting in our orders about 15 mins later our server came back to tell us one entree they were out of. So my friend tried to order something else, an app, they were also out of that. Then she tried to order the tandoori chicken app, but was told it will be another 35 minutes to make that. We also found it odd multiple persons ordered would be served on one dish. Two people ordered the same app( not to share, individual orders), they weren t sitting next to each other, and the apps came on one plate for them to split up between them. Pricing: we were honestly shocked when our butter chicken came and was not served with rice or naan. Just a VERY small dish of the chicken in sauce, probably 4/5 chunks tops, for $18. We all then ordered naan, which was $5 for one single piece. And then another $5 for a portion of rice. It would be wise to have the choice or rice or naan included as a side and up the price to show this. We were seated upstairs where the air conditioner was broken, even though downstairs there was only two tables of people. We ve come here many times under previous ownership as a group so I know our group of 6 could have fit at a main floor table which was much cooler. Plus then the server wouldn t have had to make a million trips up the stairs. It was clear our server was very new to the job, and she seemed confused the entire time. Not fair to her or patrons to have someone without a trainer assisting them if they are not ready to be serving tables solo. We have no reason to return after this experience
Loved it. Fresh bread, yummy food. Great taste. Waitress was lovely. Parking: Parking free after 5pm Food : 5/5 |
I was here for a pickup order that i order at 7:25 and they said about 20 minutes and i was there at 7:55 after half and hour and i had to wait for another half an hour for getting my food and their servers were good but they don t have enough staff to serve and take orders. About 5 to 6 tables were waiting before i arrived there.
One of the best places to enjoy Indian cuisine. And the staff was really friendly and highly recommend this place.
Food is tasty but there is lack of management, there were only 1 person who was taking order and plays the role of server and bills also we got our food after 1 hour of ordering, and the quantity is less actually very less according to the price so its on the costly side.
Great Indian restaurant in Belleville! The place is clean, the customer service is excellent, and the food is delicious. Highly recommend!
Really good food and friendly staff :)
We were coming back from the 1000 island. The restaurant showing open . It took us 1hour 45 minutes. When we finally reached it was a sticky note on the door. It s closed. How unprofessional you guys are . You should update on google so people should not waste their time . Be professional next time
My family went this restaurant on June 30, 2024 evening 4pm for some Indian food. We ate Chicken 65 as appetizer, Butter Naan with Kadai Chicken and Jira rice. After having food, we had serious stomach upset and diarrhea. That happened for our 3 year old kid too. And we are the first customer on the same date. I wont recommend this place for any person. What a horrible food and experience we had.
2nd time at bayleaf. We last went about 6 months ago. The good this time was not As impressive. We had butter chicken and chicken korma but the chicken was tough and overcooked, not sure whether it was microwaved and added to the sauce but the meal came VERY quickly. There were 3 TVs on showing cricket, basketball and a landscape. There were 2 Waitresses chatting at the bar with an older Indian gentleman (manager? Owner?) right in the middle of the restaurant for most of our meal. If the staff want to socialise, Maybe not do it right in the middle of the restaurant. Also the place was airless. Not even sure the AC was operational? Our waiter was new but very attentive and helpful. Was excited to go back a 2nd time. Not sure we will go for a third time.
We recently had lunch delivered by the Bayleaf for our staff, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, with a variety of options that catered to everyones tastes and dietary preferences. The delivery was prompt, and everything arrived fresh and well-packaged. Our team couldnt stop raving about the quality and flavors of the dishes. It was a great way to show our appreciation for their hard work, and we will definitely be ordering from the Bayleaf again. Highly recommended!
Our first visit to Bayleaf was fantastic. The ambience is delightful, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is excellent. Highly recommend!
Really need to improve the food. The taste of food should be be as per the name of the dish. Service was good but not satisfied with what we re paying for (food). We have tried the same dishes at so many places, never disappointed the way it was here.
The girl who name is natasha, i am completely satisfied with her excellent customer service and fully satisfied. I want that you guys appreciate her. Thank you
Delicious food, lovely atmosphere, and very polite/charming staff. Really enjoyed our meals.
We had a great experience at BayLeaf on Monday night. First off - YES! A restaurant open on a Monday. Thank you!! I was a bit nervous about arriving within an hour of closing, because one of the other Indian places in Belleville is known for not wanting to seat guests when its 59 minutes or less before close. No issues here. We were welcomed and seated promptly, and the restaurant was quite busy. Service was efficient and communicative. Menu has all the favourites, or at least our favourites. Dal, Baingan bharta, vindaloo - all accounted for. Although the restaurant was busy, the food arrived in a timely manner and was hot, flavourful, and spicy. We ordered medium heat, which was a bit spicier than other places Ive been to. Once we finished, we werent kept waiting, and paying our bill was easy and efficient. I live in PEC, and BayLeaf is a 70 minute round-trip for me. Worth the drive.
Food is delicious. Their dal makhani, paneer Tikka, veg Manchurian garlic Naan everything was well made and delicious The ambience is great too The service, however, needs a lot of improvement. It got annoying after a point to get attention from the service staff.
Food was delicious, very spicy as expected. Service was great!
Very expensive for the quantity you get. We paid 18$ for chicken tikka masala and got a small little container that barely fed the two of us. We asked for mild and it was very spicy. Also ordered the chili chicken which was 90% vegetables and 10% chicken. We got maybe 4 pieces of chicken. Not impressed with our first time ordering bay leaf, unfortunately. Husband said the interior is very nice and atmosphere seems good. Patiently waiting for Tanjore to open again!
Food was great, so was the service, thanks Natasha!
Food was really delicious, Server Noor is so nice. Vegetarian options: Panner tikka masala, veg manchurian Food : 5/5 |
Fantastic food, great atmosphere, Natasha always goes above and beyond. Best service!
Great meal!
So, My husband tried to order takeout, Someone picked up the call and mute him for 3-4 minutes, no response after. Then I tried from my cell, no answer again after calling more than 8 times. My husband wanted to try new place because it was his birthday. Someone picked my call, thank god, but she told me that she can not take my order now because they have really important guests in their resturant..I said that every customer is important, please take my order, we want to order some food. She keep repeating same thing about guests. I ask- what kind of CUSTOMER SERVICE is this!! I have never heard this thing before in my life. Please teach your staff how to handle this kind of situations! because this kind of behaviour can ruin someones important moment or time too. Thanks
Please dont waste your money. You will regret it. Once me and my friend went there i bought some dishes which are very expensive and the quantity was less compared to the price. The guy who served us already added 12 dollars tip without asking us. Bad experience ever.
The vibe of the restaurant is really good. But the food and service is really below average. The women server is good but the guy server is very unprofessional.
Fantastic service from Joseph! Such lovely attitude even after a glass had been broken. Decent Indian food and good naan, great vibes.
Have eaten a lot of Indian Cuisine in my time, but this one was perhaps one of the worst. The Chicken Tikka was beyond overcooked, almost like eating cardboard. The butter chicken lacked any flavor, and the rice was overcooked, if thats possible. Lastly, the Naan was over-priced, and to make it worse, it cost 85$. Never again!! Food
The worst Indian Food I have had in 50 years. Everything cooked to rubber. I had to remove a layer of grease on the so called butter chicken. No idea about seasonings.I could not distinguish chicken from tofu. Must have been cooked weeks ago. I can only say that the place needs to close or take some cooking classes!!!
Vegetarian options: Paneer Tikka masala Food
Worst food i had. Some curries have no taste while others are too spicy and strong. Tandoori rotis are undercooked and thick. Would not recommend.
Food is delicious,Excellent customer service.best restaurant in Belleville for vegetarian people. Come again for sure! Highly recommended! Food : 5/5
Great food and wonderfull staff! Our family went out to celebrate both my Moms and my birthdays. The staff went as far as to sing happy birthday to mom and happened to bring her favorite desert. The food was awesome. Kudos to the staff and Chefs. Vegetarian options: An equal selection of vegatarian options on the menu. Everything we tried was tasty.
Today was Our first visit and what a great experience. From beginning to end the evening was so lovely. We went to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary. The food was so delicious , fresh and well presented. The service was amazing and our main female server was so accommodating and friendly, Ambience and style of restaurant excellent. Thank you so much to the owner Mr. Jay for a memorable evening, you are such a great personality, very humble and friendly we will be definitely back soon. Thanks
My friend and I stopped in for dinner yesterday and had a terrific meal, everything was delicious and cooked fresh and the service was great! Would definitely come back
We went on sunday for dinner at bayleaf. Some dishes were fine however kadhai paneer/ samosas were too oily. Butter chicken was sour. When we informed the server she said she will tell the manager. The manager then forcefully bought new samosas and kept them on the table we mentioned that we don t want any replacement. The manager then went and bought the chef to our table. We again mentioned that we dont want any replacement just take it off our bill as we didnt eat any of these 3 items. The chef mentioned its ok i will get u new ones made just pack it and take it home and he left. When the bill gave those 3 dishes were added to the bill( there s wasnt any tip already added in the first bill, nor we were told or we saw anywhere written that they will charge 18% tip) when we questioned Breanna who was our server. She said she will talk to the manager and then she bought the new bill and in the new bill they took off those 3 dishes and added the exact same amount towards the tip. Its not about adding or not adding the tip but its the oversmartness of the manager that we didnt like. First of all the quantity is too less for even 2 people, prices are way too high and then they also do these cheap tricks. We were very dissapointed with the visit.
My friend & I went for lunch on a Thursday. Service was great, the server was very helpful with explaining items on the menu and made me a delicious non-alcoholic fancy drink with guava juice! We highly recommend trying this new restaurant in downtown Belleville
Went for dinner. Ordered tikka masa, mango lassi, garlic naan and butter naan. We waited almost 45 minutes for food to be brought to the table, while 2 other tables that came after us, received their food. The mango lassi was horrible, received burnt naan, no flavour in the butter chicken and tikka masa. Informed 2 servers there was no hand soap in the ladies washroom, waited 15 minutes, and ended up washing my hands in the male washroom.
Best Indian Restaurant with Good taste and variety of food options ( Veg & Non Veg). Excellent Customer service and Nice Staff. Must visit place in Belleville with friends and family. Great Ambience and Atmosphere !!
The worst experience ever, i will not come back here again
Staff is so friendly but i would not like to recommend.
It was a horrible experience. No taste in food at all. And it was unbelievably expensive. Anybody who is watching this review please don t waste your money on this.
Very impressed by the new Bay Leaf restaurant. The food was excellent, staff were very kind & personable & the table top experience was memorable. We will be back for sure! Kid-friendliness: Our waiter was super kind & personable with my daughter. When checking in about our food, he would also specifically ask her. :)
Very bad experience, we ordered food two times and both times in food there was hair. We wasted two hours there and eat nothing. I think they should need to use some precaution measures while making food. Its not. Fair customer wasted two hours and get nothing. I dont think so if any customer experience this thing two time they will go there next time.
Came here for the first time. They took almost 1.5 hours for the takeout The girl serving me had no idea about how long it will take for the food to be prepared. Not coming here again. Expensive too
Waiting time for food is like 2 hours.
I just have visited the beautiful new Indian restaurant Bayleaf . Such a beautiful place and delicious food. Also much try green chutney never had this taste before . Must recommended place in belleville.
Absolutely best Indian restaurant in Belleville. Had a best Dinner date and service plus food both are amazing .
Kind staff amazing Indian. Definitely would recommend
Great food, great service! Beautiful inside as well. Will be regulars!
A great new Indian restaurant. All the food was great.
Tried few dishes, And some was delicious and some was not up to the price. Chilly chicken is a must try from this place ! Food
What an amazing experience to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary! Vegetable Pakora to share as an appetizer. A huge plate so Im glad we decided to share! We were undecided what we each wanted so chose 2 dishes to share: butter chicken and kadhai paneer! Topped it with rice, garlic naan and tandoori roti! OMG, our tastebuds were dancing! Amazing flavors which were matched with amazing service from Alexis! She was knowledgeable, friendly, attentive and very pleasant! Hats off to this new gem in Belleville!! Vegetarian options: Menu offers vegetarian section!
It was a lovely first time experience! Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was great!
Recently dined at Bay Leaf with my neighbours, one of whom is from India. He was impressed with the quality and authenticity of the food. Service from Natasha was excellent. She was attentive and helpful, especially for this Canadian boy who is not adventurous when it comes to food. She made sure that the kitchen knew to moderate the spice for me. A smallish but very pleasant space with tables arranged to maximixe privacy. Parking: In the evening there is a large open parking lot a few steps from the restaurant.
30 minutes ago I bought the biryani to go and food is amazing but no tissues and no spoon to eat the food .
Great staff. Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Would recommend!
SPICY AND NO FLAVOR. Me and my wife ordered for the first time from this place since our usual go to place was closed, 2 butter chicken we clarified NOT SPICY and instead we got two of the most spicy dishes weve ever had. and the cherry on the pie was that it was $61 almost double from where we usually go. Save your money and your taste buds.
This was the best food I have eaten in a very long time . I got the butter chicken , nan garlic bread and chilli chicken. Delicious highly recommend! I am a forever customer
Waitress was efficient and friendly. Atmosphere classy with elegant Indian decor and dinner ware. A good variety of menu items. Food was very tasty. I had shrimp curry and my husband had butter chicken. We had naan bread and vegetable pakora to start. Will definitely go back again. Nice to see a new business in downtown Belleville. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian dishes to choose from.
Stopped in for a quick bite. Food was great, and met our tight timeline. Our server Jesse was very knowledgeable and ensured we had a great time.
Great new place, my husband and I were both very pleased with our lunch orders today (medium butter chicken and hot lamb roganjosh with rice and garlic naan). Our server was very charismatic, cant recall his name. The atmosphere is lovely as well. Well be returning for sure.
This restaurant has a nice upstairs room for private dining which includes a flatscreen that we used for a presentation. The food is really good and well presented. We really enjoyed our private dining experience!
Super disappointing experience. We went on a Saturday night. We were given menus and it wasn t until about 15 minutes later when the waiter came to take our order that we were informed they were out of all meat except chicken. Wouldn t you have told us that when you gave us the menu? The food was tasty but for $80 we got 2 very small meals and a drink. When we finished, we sat waiting for our bill for about 20 minutes even though there was only us and 1 other table. Eventually our waiter walked right past us and went outside and the other server had to get us our bill. The restaurant also looks run down inside and wasn t a great atmosphere. Can t say we ll be back.
We were very pleased to learn that an Indian Restaurant had opened in Belleville and we were not disappointed! The food was delicious (lamb curry and palak paneer) and the staff extremely friendly. We will be back!
Excellent service and the food was amazing Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian options available. Food : 5/5 |
Went last night to try! (Friday) unfortunately we were unable to try the restaurant because they only take reservations on Friday & Saturday! Which is fine but before heading out to the restaurant I creeped their pages on social media and there was nothing stated about only taking reservations for Friday & Saturday nights! I really think that if you only take reservations for Friday & Saturday nights, that it should be well posted on your social media so people don t go out of their way on Friday or Saturday and be disappointed like we were last night! Super disappointed we didn t get to try them yet but we will definitely be trying to go back after knowing about reservations! Please consider posting that information on your social media s!
What a wonderful, delicious birthday night out! You Gotta Eat Here! The food is amazing, the staff and owners all very friendly and attentive! The restaurant is warm, clean and very inviting! Well worth the wait for them to open! We will be returning time and time again! Our server Lexi was very knowledgable and a true delight.
Delicious and authentic!!
I recently dined at Bayleaf and had an incredible experience. The butter chicken was hands down the best Ive ever had, bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The goat masala was equally amazing, tender and rich in spices. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance was delightful. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving authentic and delicious Indian cuisine!
The staff at this place was so amazing and welcoming. Definitely wanna go here again when I visit Belleville.
Bayleaf is a beautiful restaurant!! The portion sizes are exceptional for the price! You definitely need to check out this local restaurant!
Today i went to the restaurant for the first time my experience is really bad about the taste of lacha praantha its not cooked properly and paneer tikka sandwich quantity was less according to its price .
What a great place for a dinner out! The food is amazing, the atmosphere is great and the staff are attentive. We will definitely be dining here again.

Amazing food we really enjoyed and a lovely eating environment, loved it!
Found my new favourite spot for Indian food! We had the most delicious meal at Bay Leaf tonight. I will definitely be eating here often! I recommend trying the veggie muncharian. So good! Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options! Kid-friendliness: My 2 year old loved the veggie pakoras, biryani and garlic naan!
Good food
Got take out from bayleaf tonight and the food was amazing. Butter chicken, lamb vindaloo and channa masalla were all delicious with just yhe right spice and full of flavour. Inside the restaurant was modern and light and the atmosphere from the staff was wondeful Vegetarian options: Lots of options on the menu with atleast half the menu with vegetarian options
