Authentic Vegetarian, Non Vegetarian, Vegan, Dairy free North Indian food.
Food was amazing as far as taste. My only negative is they skimp on the portion of meat for the price. Lots of sauce but the Dishes should have more meat in it. My butter chicken had 4 pieces of one inch by one inch chicken cubes and was $16.99….. I think they could spare a few more pieces of meat. The Lamb curry was the same thing. Skimpy on meat but very tasty.
We stopped for dinner on our way from Toronto to Ottawa - wanting something different than 401 fare, and a place to charge our new EV. Glad we did! The owner was delightful, and food delicious. This will be our new go-to on our regular trips!
This is how we got our food. Very disappointing. It’s not from delivery, this is how we got when we picked up the food and got home. Shahi paneer only had 4 thin pieces of paneer. Thought to give it a try but now never going back. 42$ gone in waste. Forsure now owner will reply some arrogant reply and will not work on the quality. No wonder why this place is always empty.
It was a lovely experience to dine in at Royal Haveli. The food was delicious and comforting, not to mention how kind the staff and owners of the restaurant were. Will definitely be eating here again.
This review is for take-out from last night. If it were possible to give less than one start, we'd do that. Haven't had more horrific Indian food in Canada! We ordered the following items and each worse than the other 1. chicken seekh kababs: were totally falling apart, horrible to taste, clearly stale 2. Bhindi/okra sabzi : slimy under-cooked bhindi and onions sautéed in what appeared to be old/stale and spoilt gravy. 3. Dal tadka: Will give credit to them that this was not rotten or an excuse of something else. Taste was meh. 4. Naan: wasn't naan at all. Probably they tried to pass stale tandoori roti as naan 5. Steamed rice: orange colored, completely dry rice that appeared to have been micro-waved over and over again before being packaged into take out boxes. Being Indians, we know our Indian food well and clearly this is a lazy chef who couldn't care less what he's feeding patrons, not just taste-wise! The Ontario Ministry of Health should audit their kitchen for old expired food inventory.
Friendly customer service and great atmosphere. Clean and neat place. They were nice enough to be available even when I came at the last minute. Food is really bad!! I bought Beef Biriyani. Biriyani rice was not cooked properly. Bought a chicken Kadai dish as well. It was too sour. Only few chicken pieces. Too expensive for that chicken dish. Compared to other Biriyani places it is too expensive. UPDATE: In response to the owner's reply: I have eaten north indian cusine and south Indian cousine. It is expensive but I am ok with it as long as food is delicious. Anyway what I ate was not cooked properly and tasted bad. Anyway good luck with your restaurant and no hard feeling! Hope this is one time issue and not a continuing issue.
Good food good mood Authentic Indian food that will tinkle your taste buds. Friendly staff and ambience. V rare Indian food finding, in such a place. If you are looking for spicy n juicy food a must go and try place.
As a person who can be difficult to feed (GF and Plant Based) I find my options here are amazing. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The food is spectacular and it's very well priced!
Great food and amazing staff. Parking: Good accessible Parking Wheelchair accessibility: Needs improvement but is doa
Rude customer service Dont know how to talk Serving girl was nice Food was disgustingly bad Not even a single item was good Tandoori roti was all burned when i told her to change she said it like that only and showing attitude . I don t know how are they surviving till now
No sense of talk, no taste,
very very unproffesional food was really bad rude behaviour no sense of talking Food : 1/5 |
Its a really great spot, very good value, nice staff always making sure you enjoy your meal.
I called to make an order at 7:05 and after the receptionist told me it was going to take 40 minutes I told her to not worry about my order and that I would go somewhere else. At 8:30 I get multiple calls and a voicemail as I m putting my kids to bed. I check the voicemail to someone telling me I am not welcome to order here again and that he is going to post my information all over the internet? Are you kidding me? This place will never get my business again.
The food and staff are amazing. They also give back to the community. A must try
Delicious food and fantastic staff. They also give back to the community. The Chicken Korma is the best. My personal favourite is the Mutter Paneer... A must try
I absolutely love this place. True, authentic North Indian food in the Belleville area. My favourite is the Chana Masala, extra hot. Dine in or take out, it always tastes great.
Work customer service by Sahib( a girl ) and Davinder ( Chef). I called the restaurant at 8:25 pm to inquire about for restaurants timing,Sahib responded by saying it s till 9pm and later within 3 mins she called me back, said we are only taking orders till 9pm. As I was close to the restaurant, I called them around 8:30 PM to place an order for the takeaway and I was told by SATINDER in a very badly that we are closed and not taking any orders. This was something weird that within 5 mins they changed the restaurants timing and did not take my order. Very pathetic customer service, guys please be aware of their bad quality service.
Lovely surprise! Great food, the waiter was friendly and helpful with picking dishes, and the bill was very reasonable. This will be a regular haunt from now on!
Vegetarian options: Excellent food , everything tasted fresh, huge portions! Food
We did takeout order. Food was very good. Chana Masala and Paneer Makhani was very good.
Best food in town.
We tried vegetarian food and it was amazingly tasty.
We ordered Kadai Paneer and Butter Chicken. food and service was outstanding. we will visit again.
The best in town!
Very delicious food and remarkable service
It was very nice and staff is very friendly
Ordered mild veg biryani but was so spicy I couldn t eat it - my husband agreed and he loves spicy food. A mistake perhaps. Double check your order. The garlic naan was burnt and did not taste of garlic.
The staff are very rude . We called and checked if they are open .and after reaching they suddenly said its closed. Didnt even think of updating in Google maps
I would have given a negative rating if i could. We went in today with 2 families and our experience was horrifying. The owner (who happens to be the chef) is a man with the rudest character and the most I dont care attitude. Long story short, we had a person with her who is allergic to beef and we ordered a chicken biriyani and beef biriyani. To our disbelief we were served with a chicken biriyani which had beef pieces in it. We wanted to convey this in the nicest possible way so this would never happen again but the chef said IT IS A KITCHEN WITH 6 BURNERS AND THINGS FLY HERE AND THERE, SO THIS WILL HAPPEN. IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO THE ALLERGIC PERSON WE WILL CONTACT THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND DEAL WITH IT. EVEN IF YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS I DONT CARE, GO AHEAD AND DO WHAT YOU WANT. Horrific. Most indians are not alergic to beef but it is against their culture not to even touch beef. So INDIAN BEWARE. The owner/chef doesnt care about it(even after being an indian) and if you dont want this to happen with you, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. We were not charged fir the beef biriyani, even though we insisted to add it as we dont want anything free. We ended up not having the whole food even though we were hungry. On a side note: the servers were very kind and apologetic. Nothing they could do about this.
Food is too oily and bad taste.
No service we waited for half hr but they didn t come
such a lovely restaurant, the food was amazing and it was overall a great experience. 100% would recommend you to visit and dine in once :)
Jaspreet (Server) was every rude and mis-behaving, service was worse
Love this Indian restaurant. The food was mouth watering. I had dal makhni which tasted sooooo goood. Loved every bit of it with Garlic naan. My friend had paneer butter masala which was also delicious. The ambiance is really nice, server was extremely attentive & polite. The chef was very very nice. Lovely experience. Can t wait to visit again.
Seriously, dont listen to the few bad reviews. The food was so good! The shrimp pakora was wonderful and the curry and vindaloo were delicious! We will come back and try something new every time! Cant wait to try the butter chicken!
The best thing about this restaurant was the freshly cooked food . Delicious .. Service was very good Food
Worst food ever Never come to this restaurant Food
Chicken made my shanty is delicious.
Food made by santii is really excellent
Lunch special was amazing and its around 12.99 ,in which i had soO much to eat. I loved the place , their service and staff was also cooperative and amiable.
Lunch special was great. Excellent customer service and staff.
Decided to give this place another shot because of their advertised weekend lunch Special. When I arrived to pick it up they tried to charge me the full menu price (16.99). I specifically said on the phone when I ordered that I wanted the 12.99 lunch Special for takeout. I argued the price and was told I must buy multiple meals. The second meal will cost 14.99 instead of 12.99. Extremely misleading and false advertising. They flat out refused to honor that price so I walked and will never return. I recommend going to India curry house or Tanjore. Edit: now they respond and call me a liar! Wowwww. Really great business practice. I can read thank you very much. If youre going to require a minimum meal order, you need to put it on your advertising.
Had a delicious meal tonight! Staff were friendly and will definitely be coming again. Vegetarian options: Aloo Gobi and Chana Masala both medium heat was delicious!!
Great food and good service. Shrimp masala to die for. Thanks.
The restaurant s team, a harmonious ensemble of culinary artisans, crafts an experience that transcends ordinary dining a symphony of excellence in every aspect.
Great vegetarian meal! We will return!
Food was so oily and so gross that we found platic strip inside our rice . When I informed one of the server ( white hair guy) he told me you should inform us before paying not after paying like talking so rudely . Even while taking order he was talking so rude . Please hire some good servers !!
Really awkward service and the place was freezing cold. The food was okay, fairly bland, and my entire table unfortunately ended up getting food poisoning. Hoping we went on an off day and everyone else has great experiences!
Always great food!
Srsly delivring wrong food to customers
I loved the ambiance and hospitality.
Mixed review. Loved the service. The server was really nice. But they need to work a lot on quality of food. I honestly didnt like anything. Indian food is known for its authentic spices, didnt find any in the food.many rooms for improvement.
They dont have any kind roti .what a joke.
I would like to mention that, this resturant provide such a great service and staff is very polite. The food was very delicious. I will suggest all of my friends living in Belleville to visit this restaurant.
Nice food and good service
I visited there and food was delicious and my favourite dish is kadai paneer and the environment was familiar and friendly.
Awesome food and best service.
Food was delicious and all staff was friendly. My favourite dish is butter chicken .
I have had many excellent meals at Royal Havali, but last evening the food was below par. I decided to treat 2 friends to a meal we ordered for pickup. All 3 of us were fans of this establishment, so were looking forward to the usual high-quality food. Unpacking the cartons at home we immediately noticed a difference. The daal was very liquidy & had a layer of oil on top. The butter chicken was runny and had very little chicken. The shrimp korma also seemed runny. We then discovered that the food tasted different as well - it was as if it came from another restaurant. Gone were the thick sauces with complex flavours that we had enjoyed for years. The korma and butter chicken were unusually sweet and flavourless. The daal was bland and thin. Only the okra dish was similar to what we had before. The meal was a disappointment. I am hoping this is a short-term glitch, because I ve felt the restaurant provides good service and has previously served delicious food. I very much hope that the restaurant take this review to heart and work to address any issues.
Chicken curry was very delicious and environment is very friendly
Food was delicious nd everyone should visit it
I went to the restaurant yesterday, the food was great, I loved this restaurant and will recommend to everyone
My boyfriend and I came here tonight for the first time and both said it was the best food we have had in decades. Great service, and every item we received was 10/10. Will be regular customers moving forward.
Worst food i had ever try . I visited restaurant on friday and the staff of restaurant was shouting inside the kitchen and no greeting sense . The water bottle have some food spot mark on it so unhygienic. Plz dont visit
Please dont visit . I have to wait for 45 min and no one come to greet or no one ask for water after this much wait they took order and the rice was smelling so bad just like 3-5 days old. Land jesa khana tha
The server was really nice, probably new but really trying their best. They have an impressive wine and Indian beer menu, unfortunately they dont have it actually available. They did have a red and a white we purchase often but unfortunately the red had been open for a while (was off) and the German style white was bitter (open, bad bottle .. German wines are sweet!). That shouldnt have been an issue except they only had those two bottles. I think Ill stick to take out.
Okay food
Just leaving Royal Haveli with my family. Best food and best service. The food is authentic.
We havent been back to Royal Haveli for a few months. Place hasnt changed Still quite nice Indian style decor. The waitress we had was just training last time we were here. She was doing much better this time, on her own and quite busy. Still not good at suggesting wine as she is a non drinker but thats OK. We know our way around the wine list which has several local wines. Now to the food! I had the Chicken Biryani. Ordered it Canadian hot, not Indian hot. It was hot, but not too much and easy to eat. Warms you right up.
Very bad service and dishes were not so well. Staff is not attentive.
Vomiting up everything is not exactly the experience I expected! I dont expect shellfish to be in butter chicken, but maybe the chefs hands were. Who knows, but its something you should make very clear here as cross contamination is not a concern otherwise. Edit: The restaurant claims there wasnt an allergy issue, I guess my partner just straight up vomited from the food. This isnt a common problem with us, we really enjoy all kinds of foods with no issues, so really that just leaves me even more concerned. Maybe its time for a fridge clean out guys? Sorry for the hard review, this is not a normal experience for me
Quality good quantity zero
after wasting time and money I give only 1star .
Excellent meal. Had a take out as we are in the middle of COVID 19. Chicken vindaloo and Lamb curry. (47 wedding anniversary ). Parking: 10 plus
Awesome Indian spot
Biriyani was too much oily
Zero stars. Very oily food no taste at all. Naan dough was very old. Waste of money
Bad food, Hella greasy, and staff has a major problem with communicating.
The worst indian food ever i ate in my lyf
We used to love Royal Haveli- but since the last experience, we won t return. The food was horrible, and when I called and messaged to talk about the issues we had, the response was upsetting and incredibly unprofessional. We will no longer visit or recommend here. Save your money and order elsewhere.
Best Indian Food restaurant in Belleville.
We have been fans for years. The most flavourful, quality dishes.
Excellent food service. The portions are spot on and the garlic naan bread is a must.
The food was very bad is smelled so bad. The worst vegetarian restaurant in Belleville. But the service was great.
Delicious food. A must try Indian cuisine
Very bad
Came unknowingly10 minutes to close to their popup location and ordered Chicken Biryani. Amazing taste, perfect spice level, friendly staff, and all round great experience! Will definitely be back and recommending this place
Ordered Tandoori chicken, It was definitely Cooked earlier given how dry it was. It as served in just 20 mins, which impossible to cook Tandoori chicken that dry. My suggestion- I wouldnt have minded waiting 30 mins for freshly cooked chicken. Price is really good, given the portion. Probably change it to 18$ to make it fresh.
We visited this place on Canada day long weekend with friends. We had small kids in the group so we asked our server to just give daal (less spicy), plain rice and raita for kids. To my surprise, the daal was spicy even for us. Raita had all the spices too. Our kids dinner that night was just plain dry rice. Chef please note all Indians DO NOT like spicy food so please be considerate. I would have appreciated if they listened to our request carefully. We also ordered paneer which was good but again quiet spicy, even though we asked for medium spicy. Chicken Biryani had no flavors. Gulab Jamuns were good but Ras Malai smelled really bad. Talking about the ambience, it was not great at all.Quiet dark inside and carpet look like they havent been washed in ages. Parking: Its in a small plaza so ample of parking is available.
wow!!! first time in this restaurant with my boyfriend and the food and everything was wonderful!!! super sweet staff, delicious indian food, and amazing atmosphere. beautiful restaurant we will be coming back!
I just ordered here today for the first time and had the worst experience ever. The food was beyond horrible and I m pretty sure it was not fresh and it tasted like it was made last week. Bai boht kharab food aa ehna da. Jwa baasa food ditta c saanu.
Very bad at all. Not trained staff.
I would leave zero stars if I could. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I recommend avoiding this place.
I called for a reservation, got there at the time it was reserved for them to tell me I never reserved. So I got take out instead, and right before they are about to close they tell me they dont have what I ordered. Complete waste of time.
This is our favorite restaurant for Eastern food. Just delicious
If you cant eat spicy, they dont have options. Several things in the menu not available in prime time. Google map showing it halal restaurant, but its not. Owners better to consider these things not only serving to Indians, also should available for others if they want to taste their cuisines.
My recent experience at this restaurant was far from enjoyable. The dishes were excessively spicy, overloaded with intense spices and masalas that bordered on overwhelming. To make matters worse, there was a significant miscommunication regarding the inclusion of rice with the main course. The order taker failed to inform us about this, resulting in an unnecessary overordering of naan. The excessive spice levels and lack of clarity regarding the menu left me with a less than positive impression. If youre not a fan of extremely spicy food, Id recommend approaching this restaurant with caution.
3 star place
Grabbed butter chicken for take out. Lady who cashed me out was polite and friendly. Food was fantastic - really appreciate the fact their entrees come with rice. Will be certainly coming here again when in the area
Superb
I dont understand how the container and taste both change in two different orders. The first time I ordered biryani it was excellent and was given in plastic tall container. And todays order was extremely unwhelming. It was super moist and absolutely didnt taste the same. The chicken Tikka quantity was a joke! Bought food for 70$ with high hopes. Not happy
Too spicy, wasn t able to eat what I ordered. I was really looking forward to it
Terrible food. Poor customer service. I will never ho again.
The dishes were among the best we have and in our lives. Excellent service relaxing atmosphere.
Delicious Indian food, excellent ambience, very clean, and courteous service.
Food is delicious staff was very cooperative nice and helpful wonderfully experience Royal Haveli is SoO SoO Beautiful place to spend time with family
Awesome And Tasty Food. Good Service.. Food
Amazing food and good service must visit this place
It is really a very good place they offer delicious food and the staff and atmosphere is really great
I wanted give 0 star but there is no option honestly the worst place i have ever visited in canada. Owner seems to hold personal grudges against Indian ethnicity. Started swearing instead of resolving issues, would urge people to stay away from this place . I would rather starve myself to death that eating over here. I wish i had took a picture to share for everyone so could have shown the whole order as it is . On the first bite we knew it wasn t right. Maybe you should work for me i will teach you a thing or two about food and customer service
Thoroughly enjoyable dinner with friends. The Indian food here is consistently fantastic. We enjoyed the chicken curry, spinach potato, chicken and beef Kormas. But, the fresh garlic naan was the star of the dinner for me. So nice to have a great Indian restaurant like this in Belleville.
The service was top rate. The staff was knowledgeable and helped first-timers. My wife, who does not like spicy food, found something that she enjoyed.
Food so delicious youll cry. This place doesnt mess around, they give you the good rice in a little bin and a huge serving of the most delicious curry. Succulent is what Royal Havelis menu is. Food is nice and spicy, as it should be, so be mindful of that when ordering. Mild spice still means spice.
Always fresh and delicious. Royal Haveli has the best rice and paneer compared to the other local Indian places.
Over cooked and too much oil most of the time. Okay for people who are ignorant to real food, but otherwise best avoided.
Food was fantastic. The only issue was the non-existing heat tonight. I cant take away any stars for that since we really enjoyed our meal.
Whole food was extremely yummy and well cooked. Loved the dal tadka and paneer makhani!!
Revision: Our last order was excessively salty. Im wondering if this is in some way an attempt to make the food taste more spicy without actually using more spice. It isnt necessary to do this; I have salt on my table at home if I need it. It ruined what would have been an excellent meal.
Dint like at all
Ordered Butter Chicken, Boondi Raita, and Garlic Naan..Butter Chicken was extremely sweet, Garlic Naan was tasty and Boondi Raita was very basic. The only great thing was the ambience.
I ordered Daal(lentil) soup on call for the pickup. She told me that it would take about 45 minutes for the order to get ready. I said thats fine, I can wait. I went at the time that she told me to pick up. Instead of daal(lentil soup) that I ordered on call and she confirmed while repeating the order on a call with my name and cell number, they changed my order to daal tadka and rice without even giving me a call because they didnt have a soup. I was being a nice person. I accepted their mistake and I came home with the food that I did not order and opened it after coming back home. Guess what .....No utensils (no spoons). The food was not as tasty as I expected as well.
Best indian Restaurant - delicious cuisines ! They serve rice with most of their dishes! Must visit!
I visited this place with the reviews ,but as we dont have many restaurants nearby this is the placed , we visited and was very horrible experience with family, Waited for 15 minutes to dive take out and they told us to wait for 25 minutes to wait for the take out and after that time , told us to wait again for 40 minutes and girl who takes order has no knowledge of the food and after waiting for so long, expected food to be good. BUT NO taste at all.Better to improve the services in order taking and be fast.
The food was good. If you like Indian food its a must visit.
Authentic indian food, and the chai was top notch.
Good costumer service but food was 50-50
Very disappointed with the restaurant as they did not bother to post correct details on Google maps and did not feel apologetic for miscommunication. The worst part is that they mentioned that restaurant is opened till 9 pm on Google map but they close the kitchen at 8 pm. We took the detour to try out this place but when we reached there we found small notice on the door: Monday - Off Friday and Saturday - Dine in Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday- Take away Further, the staff told us that they got big orders so they will not serve any other orders. Very disappointed as we wasted 30 mins to reach other. We suggested them to atleast update their website but does not seem important to them.
The food is some of the best Indian food I have had in Belleville and its up there with a lot of the other Indian restaurants I have been too. It is clearly made with care and passion. The dishes are flavourful and I love the smell of it when taking the food home. Thats why the atmosphere is rated lower btw, Ive never had a chance to dine in. It looks good from what I can tell. Service is good, the staff are polite and engage in small talk that neither feels forced or irrelevant. Definitely worth your time if you want a nice vindaloo
Friendly service, authentic food & most things have a mild variant if youre not used to heat.
Worst experience. Food wasn t tasty. Waste of money.
Very disappointed with the restaurant as I ordered daal tadka that taste like water with some spices, not even fresh. Waste of money. I ll never ever visit at that place.
I was went there with my friend we ordered Butter chicken and Chicken Biryani it was delicious.
Amazing atmosphere and food.
We were seated at a table. And no one came to take out order. No one. Didnt even get water. Two other people were seated nearby us. Moments later they were served appetizers. After 35 minutes of zero interaction, we walked out. So yeah, not great.
It states open but was closed very unprofessional!
Extremely flavourful, but portion size and meat content to cost ratio was kind of poor when compared to Signature, Mount Everest, and Maharaj. 4 dishes for $90.
Paneer makhani was way too sweet. Nan was not freshly made I guess. Dal tadka was very good.
Went within business hours but they didnt allow us in
Food was just okay Okra masala was uncooked
spicey nicey!
Royal Haveli does fabulous (Northern) Indian food. We very much enjoyed all our 4 dishes (lamb biryani, dal Makhani, Palak Paneer, chicken curry plus garlic and garlic chili Naan). Staff and service were outstanding and we felt very welcomed. Its a gem at a parking lot :-)
Weve been here several times in the past and thoroughly loved the food. We ordered for take out on Saturday this week. Not so good. The Vindaloo was so salty my wife couldnt eat it, I didnt enjoy it very much. The Butter Chicken was very sweet Ive never had Butter Chicken that was so sweet. That flavor is not what comes to mind when I think of butter chicken. We called to say that we did not enjoy the food that they had prepared. We were not looking for a refund. I couldnt come back. We were told, thank you for letting us know. I cant say Ill be back or recommend your restaurant in the future.
Absolutely loved this place, its disgusting now. Butter chicken extremely sweet and beef vindaloo sooo extremely salty it wasnt edible. Called the restaurant ..the response ok Ill let the cook know ...thanks..60.00 worth if food in the garbage. Even the Naan bread was burnt. Youll be closing your doors with this quality of food and customer service
Worst customer service! Called at 8 and restaurant closing at 9 that not taking more orders
Terrible service. I placed a small order and was told it would take 30 minutes, I went back after 35 minutes to pick up my order and I was told that they forgot to make my order and were just starting on it . Had to wait almost an hour to get my order . Would not recommend and will never order from here again. Edit: after trying the food I hate the restaurant even more , food tastes like garbage. I was told they make fresh nans, but they re frozen.
Just picked food 5 minutes ago. I would say I just had worst indian food in my life, had only 3 bites of butter naan with daal tadka and paneer makhani. The taste ridiculous. Food was definitely not eatable. Wont suggest to anyone.
Very decent place to enjoy good Indian food and the staff is very friendly. I would highly recommend this place to everyone, if you want to eat good food.
We called in to place a takeout order 2 nights ago. They were very busy and were told it would take an hour which was no problem. We arrived and there was no order to be found! They took it over the phone and never wrote it down or sent it to the kitchen. He said they would prepare it right away and we d have to wait another 20 minutes. At this point between our original wait, the time spent waiting for them to look for the order and check with the kitchen, to finally receiving our food, it took just over an hour and a half! The only thing we were offered was 1 canned pop for their mixup and poor service.
Amazing Vindaloo curry at this place. Can not go wrong with Beef variant with medium spice! The naans are just so fresh and go amazingly well with curries. The serving staff is also the best I ve ever encountered in any restaurant ever! 10/10 would recommend!
Chicken biryani: undercooked rice and extremely spicy. Response to the owners reply: I am not sure what should I address now: My honest review and feedback of your food or your arrogance! Anyway, it seems like you are doing good (150 orders a day) serving non-aunthentic chicken biryani. And that there is no scope of further improvement.. all I can say is keep it up :) Try being considerate and compassionate while communicating with your customers (even on platforms like this), it might open some new insights and understanding of the value system a business, especially like the one you have, should have. Edit: Responding to below (caustic) comment from the owner. >> You need to go and find your authentic made biryani somewhere else SUPERCHEF. If you r in the area pop by show us how to make one Ok, now I am finding it a bit difficult where to start from. I think it is, in a way, beyond the original review and I see that you have difficulty taking any feedback which is not all praises. Also, I find that there is a problem with your logical reasoning here, i.e. one does not have to be a SUPERCHEF to critique a food item. It is like saying only car manufacturers can review cars. If you stop and think about it I am sure you will get the point. I definitely cant show you how to make a good biryani but I can surely tell you if one is not. And I agree with you that I would have to go somewhere else to find an authentic biryani. I just hope your account is not hijacked by some mischievous kid as it does not sound like I have a mature restaurant owner on the other side who is willing to listen to feedbacks (good or bad) and who cares about customer satisfaction. If it is really you, then I dont think I have much to add and all I can say is that you have one more area to improve upon. All the best.
Ive never been there before. Surprisingly good.
Ordered two medium currys, appetizers and naan bread. Delicious food and large quantities. Great takeout choice
Delicious authentic style indian food, great portions, garlic naan bread was definitely a hit!
Roti khaa k maaza aagaya ji.....sarey aao tey chakhoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Awesome food!
great customer service will make the dishes any spice you like, if you are new to the food they will make suggestions. the butter chicken and spinach potatoes ore my favorite. Also great samosas. also they are owned locally support local.
Quality service, amazing biryani and really good butter chicken. Highly recommend
Amazing food, ordered the lunch special and I was full. Fast service and fair prices.
I ordered 4 butter naans, one panner makani, chicken curry and veggie biriyani. Not even one item is tasty. And so expensive.
Delicious, flavourful food! Friendly service as well.
Biryani was not good, chicken curry was just tomato sauce, highly disappointed after paying almost $38 for a meal.
Unfortunately I cant give a review on the quality of the food as I havent gotten to try any of it. I called in at 8pm last night to place an order for pick-up. The schedule said they were open until 9. I let the phone ring 10-15 times and never got an answer so assumed they were busy. We waited approximately 10 minutes before my partner called back from his phone. A woman answered and informed us that they didnt take orders after 8pm. Odd, but not a deal breaker. We decided we would just wait until the next day (today) and try again. At 8:56pm last night I received a wrong number call from a woman at the establishment looking for a man who I can only assume they were calling to inform that their order was ready. I told them that there was no person by that name here, and the woman hung up. She then called my partners phone and he didnt answer. We summed it up to them going through their call log to retrieve a customers number about their order being ready, which could easily be avoided by simply asking for a contact number when an order is placed. Fast forward to today. We called at around 5:30pm to ensure that we called with plenty of time. The first thing we tried to order (chicken Tikka salad) was not available, which is what 3 out of 7 members of our party wanted, so we had to hang up and ask them to choose other things. At which point we all just decided that it was too much of a hassle and ordered issue free from India curry house. We probably wont try to order here again.
Excellent environment, friendly service, great menu choices and delicious food and at affordable prices. Will be back. Royal haveli always on the top.
Nice restaurant delicious food awesome restaurant.. must try
Hmmmm....so good! Each of the dishes ordered were fresh and delicious. The homemade sauces for Shrimp Korma, Butter chicken and Chicken Curry were tasty and eaten with a spoon. If you like sweet Indian food you will be delighted :) Great discovery
Amazing quality and portion sizes considering the reasonable price. The best Indian places you can find only when you can smell the spices from a block away. And this is such a place. They have a great variety of dishes. Dont let the outside fool you. Inside is a homey interior to sit and eat. And the service is efficient and polite.
Butter chicken of this place was delicious. Along with quality the quantity of food was great. The staff was really polite too. Definitely visiting this place again. Thanks.
My best favourite place forever..!!
Excellent environment, friendly service, great menu choices and delicious Indian food and at affordable prices. Chicken curry, chicken biryani ,channa masala, vindaloo and kaathi rolls are my favorite. Amazing food. Will be back.
If I could give 10 stars, I would!! We ordered food from this restaurant last year on our trip in Belleville. We came back this year on a stop and go in Belleville only for this restaurant! Among the Indien restaurant I visited while travelling in Europe or Australia and Canada, it is far away the BEST!!! If ever you are in Belleville, dont miss out! Dishes are a mixed of flavour and scents! All senses are awakened and taste buds want more! The curry chicken is one of our best! The owners are also really nice and welcoming! This place is so good that Im thinking of moving in Belleville!!! We will be back again one day for sure!
Lamb vindaloo was hot and delicious. At first I thought 19.99 was a bit much but the portion is big and good food! Worth it in my opinion. Good customer service I ll go for extra spicy next time!
excellent food
Too slow. The food is not royal anymore. Worst experience. Too much waiting time for take out
Awesome and delicious food
Royal haveli is the best restaurant for Indians and Canadians.I love the food of this restaurant. All items are delicious.
Friendly staff and tasty food
The owner and staff were super friendly. The portions were large, with a perfect amount of spice. Some of the best Indian Food I have had back in Canada.
Deserve no stars at all for the way they treated us today! I called to ask if they serve halal food. The lady on the phone said NO halal food...Which is ok so i asked them about having veg biryani. She said they did. So we ended up going there later to get the veg biryani. My husband goes in and asks again to confirm about halal and any possible meat contamination in the biryani due to dietary restrictions. This guy says yes it is halal.... my husband was surprised and reconfirmed. This time the guy was very rude and said how many times you will ask me this?. If you dont trust me go somewhere else and eat. Instead of providing us any certification/proof of the meat being halal this guy expected us to believe his word on something so serious and important! Im willing to report this restaurant for making false claims and playing with peoples dietary restrictions! Edit to reply to the response: and COVID excuses have been used unnecessarily by people like you to dodge a genuine bad review. My husband is vaccinated, was masked when he entered and maintained his distance from the staff. Not sure if your restaurant has some exclusive covid protocols. People can see how you are still dodging our main concern about the food being claimed halal.
Nice presentation, even in takeout. Tasty food, Biryani is good, even used real star anise! Butter chicken good but a bit skimpy on chicken. Large portions!
I just get to know that onions are referred as chicken, I ordered chicken pakora and all i got was onions in it. Also, I ordered chicken biryani and i hardly found any chicken in it.
Poison , just the way i asked for it . Love the spice !!!!!!!!
Great food, staff are the best! Love this restaurant...just wish we could dine in!!

This place is truly a gem! The food is impeccable! Authentic Indian cuisine. The portion sizes are generous, prices are more than fair and the service is delightful. My wife and I ordered again from them yesterday and we even got to meet the owner, who was kind, warm and happy to do everything he could to make us happy! We will definitely return here again in the near future!
Friendly service and delicious food.
Never tried true Indian food before the popup on the bay. I seriously didnt know that food could even taste THIS GOOD! What was i eating before? Cause this is better than anything Id ever heard of! First time for biryani and it was the perfect combination of deep flavour and spice. Recently tried a local restaurant for me cause I wanted biryani and Royal Haveli is now the ONLY place for biryani if you ask me. Wish there was a closer location to me. It is worth the hour drive when youre able!
Delicious food! I highly recommend.
