Gorgeous atmosphere, friendly people, and the food tastes delicious! 🤤😋 Great place for any social gatherings, plus they have an all you can eat option. It was delightful 🙂🙌💯
Let me start by saying the food was well-prepared and fresh. But good luck ordering from your phone with a menu that’s hard to understand! There are no photos, and most items were unfamiliar, so I found myself just looking for anything recognizable. The menu itself is extensive, making it even more confusing. Plus, each table has two QR codes—one for Wi-Fi and one for the menu. Look up what could happen if someone switches the QR codes and you scan it… don’t just take my word for it! This might be some people’s thing, but it’s definitely not mine. I don’t recommend it at all.
Great experience, quick service, AYCE dishes are ordered on an instead of an iPad which was easy to use and error free. No pictures though which is nice to have. The food was great, sushi was good quality, cooked dishes were well prepared and came it promptly to an extent they were still very hot. Sevice was friendly and accurate.
Reasonably priced all-you-can eat, which includes good quality sashimi/ sushi and fair variety of other dishes. Very pleasant, friendly and attentive staff. Has never been overly crowded or noisy when we've been either. We have been visiting this one more or less weekly the past month+ and it's been a good experience every time so far.
This restaurant is not what it used to be. First off Very disappointed with the service we received at this location. Server didn’t seem happy to be serving us or even happy to be there. (Male server) Never gave us ginger or Wassabi when we sat down and when I later asked him for it he seem annoyed. The sushi bar attendants were standing around killing flies with electric fly swatter. All I could hear were zaps ⚡️ every time a fly was killed. We were confused by items on the menu as everything seems to be the same as lunch but yet we are paying more. Certain items were not available for this dinner. A lot of missing items. We waited around for items we ordered that we never received. When I was finally able to get our server’s attention and asked where our food was he stated we got everything. I told him we were missing two other items for which he then just left. We again continued to wait and 20 minutes later the other server (female) asked if we were done. I told her we were still waiting for other items and they didn’t even give us another paper to write down what other things we still wanted. We were never given another paper to order more from the kitchen and after finally receiving the last few things we decided to leave. We got up from the table to get up to pay and we were stopped by the female server and asked if we wanted dessert. I was so confused. We were sitting at our table for so long and Still had not received a paper to order anything else and After waiting so long with not even coming around to ask us anything you then ask us as we are leaving if we want dessert. This place was not busy. There were only three other tables. The service was terrible. After we paid and walked out of the restaurant the male server walks outside and starts smoking at the front door. So unprofessional. This is not the same restaurant I have visited so many times before. Will not be back.
Our order was: 1 x G-32 Yam and Avocado Rol 1 x G-34 Broccoli Tempura Roll 1 x G-35 Avocado Crunch Roll It was all delicious!!!!
This place changed their menu. Fewer offerings now. Portions are small and prices are high. I ordered the veggie udon for $15 and received a $10 portion. I also ordered the avocado and inari maki. All the flavors were unremarkable . This place used to be my first choice... now it's maybe last. Such a shame.
The food is always decent, the restaurant's decor is quite nice and it's a quiet spot as much of their business now seems to be takeout since COVID and the end of their all-you-can-eat options. The main issue I have with this location is the service quality; it was a chore just trying to order our drinks because of the severe language barrier between us and our server. I understand that some difficulty with accent interpretation is fairly common when visiting many east-Asian restaurants, however, it should not require 3-4 lengthy attempts to order a wine spritzer, beer, a glass of wine and an iced tea. Once we managed to place our orders our food was ready and brought out to us promptly, save for the beef teriyaki which took longer to prepare.
Food is ok Prices are not Service
Bestest of best for sushi rolls, tofu, udon & much more of Asian food taste!! Truely authentic and as a vegetarian who loves Sushi, I recommend this place as there are so many options for veg sushi and also, they all are best.. my fav are mango cheese roll, broccoli tempura and avocado I recommended to my friends and they loved it too!! Must go!
Lunch was great. The price was lower than others in the area that we called. The option to add sasimi is great! Fast service, and good food. Parking: There is a single row of parking along the storefronts. There seems to be plenty of parking. Wheelchair accessibility: I would not consider this wheelchair accessible because the cars are parked at storefront and the sidewalk is very narrow.
Kids loved it
Food is great. Definitely be back.
Always delicious, and lovely owners
You know have to have your phone with you so you can scan the code on the table and order from your phone. What little customer service they provide is not good. Food is okay. Overall not impressed and wont be going back.
Good food reasonable prices.
Everything was way too salty.
STAY AWAY! I love Japanese food. This is THE WORST Japanese restaurant I ve ever been at. Sushi rice that falls apart, fish that are not fresh, tempura with uncooked batter, wonton soup with half broth/half soy sauce, sushi pizza with base so thick, it hardly fits in your mouth. To top it off? Food that takes over 20mins to come for get this a sashimi! As I was leaving, the two ladies behind me complained about their sushi s smell and taste. For the price? ($32, tax incl) .STAY AWAY!
*Edit: 2 Stars now (was 5). They no longer do all-you-can-eat so we stopped going... Service is more consistent than Dragon Rolls but no free birthday meal that I know of. This is our fav all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant in the area.
All you can eat, good value decent food. Staff were very friendly, and service was great.
Menu was very limited and was charged 145 for 3 adults to eat with 2 iced teas, sashimi was extra 5 dollars per person. Very expensive for a menu that no where contains what it used to and not to mention they dont use tablets anymore. I used to love eating here but feel extremely ripped off and will NEVER BE RETURNING. Unfortunately most businesses in Quinte West are providing poor service or being choosey on who they give decendant service to.
Service incredible, was new at app ordering he went out of his way to help me, all food was delicious. Will be back if we move here
Lovely sushi buffet! Food was fresh Vegetarian options: Make sure to ask! Food : 4/5 |
Dyed blonde haired young male with glasses is absolutely rude, impatient quite frankly terrible at his position.
Good service. Perfect taste
Food is always amazing. Gentlemen at the front for take out were a little rude.
Tasty food and great service
This place used to be good before covid. Its lost its touch and I have given it many chances lately. From bad service, not thanking me after tipping, ignoring me at the pickup counter, dry sushi, old looking sushi , missing stuff from orders, over priced compared to competitive places in the area. Can list many more things. What ever you do avoid this place at all cost. I highly recommend Ta-KE sushi and kitchen.
good sushi restaurant in Belleville area.
Came in for lunch. Absolutely a pleasant experience across the board. Accomodating servers, good food and fast. Large portions and so when we ordered too much they did not charge us for every piece and let us take it home.
Best Sushi in the area by far!
Service lacks professionalism and personality. The food is good but not great but comes out quickly and is fresh, so kudos to the sushi chefs.
Just don t.
Nice little quiet place for lunch. All you can eat menu which tasted great. The sashimi is an extra $5 per person. The cheese wontons were crispier than desired but still tasted great. The squid tempura and sesame seed balls were delicious Cleanliness was a little poor - window sills were dirty beside the table. But otherwise was a great option for sushi service could have been slightly better by offering wasabi before we had to ask for it after getting our rolls. Will be going back to try other options on the menu though
Was very disappointed to chew on a plastic wrapper that was still wrapped around the crab in the rainbow California roll. Lost appetite and still had to pay $25.
We used to go here all of the time. It s even a bit of a sentimental location for us. We will never eat here again. The meat was overcooked and dry. Some dishes were actually bitter. They ve taken all of the favourites off of the all you can eat menu. If you want them you have to order them a la carte . They ve upped the prices and reduced the options. We ordered yakitori and it was dry, no sauce, and some weird African spice was sprinkled on it. Gross. This place barely resembles what it used to be. Go anywhere else. Yuck
Food is great here! We came at 7 o clock when they close at 830. We were completely rushed the entire time, the server was incredibly rude. Had no idea what we even drank to add to the bill which is a major concern for whomever is the owner. We were told it was last call for food at 8 o clock, even though our paper order sat on the table for 15 minutes before I had to bring it to the waitress. There was skip the dishes and Uber eats coming to pick up orders way after the fact. All in all not a great dine in experience.
Glad they brought back all you can eat but one day, Scotiabank was having issues nation wide with Debit Interac Transactions, they let me e-transfer but the young lady told me condescedingly that we don t do this often (accepting e-transfer as payment) felt like they were judging or thought I was broke or something, service has always been mid and yeah the food isn t the best, go get sushi in Trenton instead
Absolute worst food, only good thing from menu was the ginger. It s been a day after Ive had food from there, I still feel sick. I don t how people sit enjoy the food here. Meat was old and smelly, rolls were dry and weird, skewers was ok but had a weird seasoning on most of so ruined that too. Even the water and drinks were stale. Absolutely regret wasting my money here.
I have had such a wonderful experience in this restaurant. My husband and I came here for lunch for the first time. I cant remember the last time I ate at Aji Sai although, I know the last location is in Toronto, years before Covid. We decided to do all you can eat menu. We ordered tuna rolls and it became one of my favorites from that day on. The server is a really nice lady, she gave us the options on the menu, and how to order the foods wed like to have. They have good seaweed salad and miso soup. The sushi options are a lot some of the best ones are spicy tuna roll, regular tuna roll, california, dynamite roll, california rainbow roll, mango avocado sushi(really good). Tempura of course, we cant forget shrimp tempura one of the best and the broccoli tempura too. These are the ones I had during this visit. Few notes for doing all you can eat: You have to pay for the number of sushi you dont eat or left over you have to pay $1 each so it is best to order 2 or 3 sets at a time. Make sure you leave enough time because it takes time to prepare your orders. Remember to make sure you eat everything you order to avoid paying extra. Make sure you are actually ready to eat a lot otherwise you can stick to bento box or set meal. Other than that, our overall experience was good. It was also a sunny day, we sat beside the window, the sunlight glares so it is really nice during winter days when most days seem gloomy during that week. For the next visit Ill add some photos.
Today marked our first experience at this restaurant, which weve been eager to try after its transition to dine-in service post-Covid. Unfortunately, our visit left much to be desired. The initial impression faltered as the young lady with curly hair, while not particularly welcoming, directed us to a table by the window. Our disappointment escalated when we requested a high chair for our son. The one provided was shockingly filthy, adorned with leftover food from previous diners and persistent stains. Despite an attempt to clean it with a towel and spray, we felt uneasy and decided to leave. The young girl, seemingly surprised, inquired about the issue, and we had to express our discomfort due to the extremely dirty high chair. This raised concerns about the overall cleanliness of the establishment, particularly in areas frequented by children, leaving us hesitant about the hygiene standards in the kitchen. Kid-friendliness: Very dirty plastic high chair
Maybe its because Ive dined at many Sushi restaurants in the Toronto area and throughout the States so I have places to compare to. But in comparison to those many places this food was pretty bad. In all honesty I cant give more than a 1 star rating on that.
Nice sit down Japanese restaurant, good food, good value. Give it a try!
The decoration of this AjiSai is very atmospheric. There is a parking lot at the door. There are private rooms and booths to choose from. The staff are very friendly. I feel very comfortable eating here. The appearance of the sushi is very appetizing, and the taste is amazing. The fried rice tempura in the kitchen is a bit lacking compared to the sushi. This store is still worth visiting. It s good for a person around 30 years old in this area. There are discounts for children.
Food was incredible and very well priced, atmosphere was quiet and warm, service 10/10, Kathy & Victoria were amazing, funny & lovely hostesses. Had so much fun here, and left super full! Chef even came out and asked how the food was. Incredible. Will 100% be returning.
A true shame. Food here is the worst i ve ever had. My husband and I went in for all you can eat - which has drastically changed.. much more limited options so not really all you can eat. All of their sushi rolls have something like the consistency of sand in them, I think this is to fill them up due to lack of filling. It s inedible. The shrimp tempura and all of the tempura is soggy and cold. We paid 67$ and didn t eat any of the food, we did pick the avocado and sweet potatoe out of sushi rolls for our toddler to eat because this was dinner. Husband and I left with a bill and still hungry. We did let them know and they were very receptive of feedback, which was nice. I just really don t know how this establishment can be running in these times, with the food quality being so low and prices being sky high.
Since reopening post Covid they have cut the menu way back and now charge an extra five dollars if you want samshi with your meal. Very disappointed!! Won t return , but apparently DRAGON ROLL is rebuilding finally so we ll have good sushi again in Belleville someday soon. BEWARE THERE ARE MANY FAKE ! 5 STAR REVIEWS ON HERE READ THRU THE ACTUAL COMMENTS FROM NON BOTS
Great food decent selection amazing staff
All you can eat Menu is a lot smaller than before, prices are higher and when I ordered more of something I liked since there were 0 chicken related items available on the new menu, I was asked to order less at an all you can eat restaurant???
Big improvements lately, all u can eat is back, and the staff seem to be awake and working now. Victoria is great, very attentive to the customers, and personable.
They just need coffee for the 5th star...
Update: New owners/managnent and staff. Had a lovely date night. All you can eat is back following the pandemic closure. Food is DELICIOUS. Sashimi is an extra $5 per person but worth it. Fish is fresh and cut thick when ordering Sashimi. Kitchen food and rolls are also delicious. Worth the price. About 35 dollars per person for AYCE. They have an a la carte option as well for anyone dining in. Staff are very pleasant and talk you through all the ordering procedures. Make sure you eat everything ordered. You will be charged for the food you dont eat.
Went for all you could eat on new years eve. Wasnt impressed the menu changed for it as my boyfriend who doesnt overly eat the crab rolls was looking for chicken or beef with mo luck. So we switched to the normal menu and it eas fabulous as always. Thankyou
The service is very good and the sushi is the best in Belleville.
Still the best for sushi
The food is very delicious and the service is also very good, especially the sushi is very delicious
Awesome restaurant
Lovely food and great atmosphere.
Paid $16 for an order of udon noodles that was not even enough to feed a small child. If youre going to charge that much for a few noodles and some vegetable tops, at least throw In a miso soup and a can of pop.
Will not be back. Food had no flavour at all! And very little to choose on the menu for the price you pay. The new owners are not authentic and it shows in the quality and taste of their food. If you want a good all you can eat in the area Trenton Sushi !!! You will not be disappointed
Sadly not the restaurant it used to be, it used to be really good, good service, good qualite....SADLY NOT THE CASE ANYMORE. Besides it not being all you can eat anymore, which we knew going in, the prices are expensive, the quality is poor as is the service. We went in for dinner, there were no other customers in the restaurant. My hubby ordered a sushi combo, I told the girl waiting on us I would start with shrimp tempura. My husbands meal arrived at that point thinking my shrimp was coming I asked her to add some rolls. My husband finished his meal I was left with sitting without food, when we called the girl over and I expressed that I was unhappy that I hadnt gotten my food she laughed and said oh my fault I didnt know you wanted that. I said we are leaving.....the bill for 2 gingerale and my husbands sushi combo that had 9 pieces (4 pieces of sushi and 5 california rolls) came to $22 and he said it wasnt good and one piece was actually slimey. They offered no apology. We told the girl we were not happy, we would not be back and we would be leaving a bad review, she laughed. It was a waste of money, a waste of time and we will not return.
The hostess wasnt very friendly. Seemed a little over priced. The womans bathroom also smelt horrible.
Food is great. I wish it was all you could eat.
Not good.
Restaurant has sadly gone down hill. The sushi and sashimi that I had were not fresh, and we did not see a waitress until the very end of our meal. The Miso soup and pad Thai were good, but nothing to write home about. I would suggest visiting Trenton Sushi for higher quality items and better pricing, with an all you can eat option.
Great food and great selection. Edit; no longer all you can eat and are expensive.
The only reason I gave the 3 star was due to prices. Aji Sai changed all you can eat for supper to single dish. The food is great and staff is friendly.
Not all you can eat, wont change signs or update websites.
Good pad Thai and very good general taos chicken. The inside is very nice, but Ive only got takeout. Super nice online ordering for pickup.
VERY OVERPRICED. Had lunch here today and Bill was almost 100 dollars for 2. That was with no alcohol and I was still hungry when I left. Used to love this place. Bit ever since the first Covid shut down they have been takeout only. There is absolutely zero reason not to be open at this point. They have simply realized that they make a lot more from takeout than they ever did before. They are being greedy and using covid as an excuse. Of course they are allowed to do as they please. But as a long time fan of sushi i can tell you that as far as take out goes you will get far superior quality and prices just about everywhere else on town. As soon as dragon rolls rebuild aji sai will be out of business very quickly. I know Ill never be back. Also if you are craving a sushi buffet, Trenton sushi is worth the drive.
Service great, food bad; its not worth it to go here anymore because its no longer a buffet. Go to Toro sushi over on pinnacle instead Aji Sai was great because the food is terrible but you could shove as much as you wanted down your gullet. Per order prices are an absolute scam here. The food quality is not anywhere close to being worth what you pay.
No ayce.
Service so very polite ! Food was fresh as fresh can get We will be back for sure! Thank you for a wonderful lunch Food : 5/5 |
5 star Service with a Smile The atmosphere was warm and cozy 5 The Food was so very Fresh 5 Star We will be back for sure! See you soon! Thank you for a wonderful lunch on a cold day.
Love it here but really miss dining in
Generous portions. Nice atmosphere
Well come back
Good Japanese restaurant
We used to love this place but it is awful now. Im pretty sure the gyoza were low-quality frozen ones from the grocery store, the portions were tiny, and the teriyaki was soupy. There wasnt one good thing in our whole meal. We will not be returning.
Food quality has declined. The shrimp tempura rolls aren t even tempura d any more. Just shrimps rolled into breadcrumb. They were the best in the area and now so bad. Also no pan fried squid which is disheartening
No all you can eat
Food was amazing
Best sushi place Ive ever been to, friendly service and perfect food, the sashimi is amazing and the chicken sesame is cooked to perfection
NO LONGER ALL YOU CAN EAT!!! They do not tell you that when you come in, asked and they said they they stopped it as it was too costly for them to continue all you can eat hence why it is completely empty here at dinner rush So we just drank our imported beer which the staff were not happy about (could hear them talking trash about us from behind the counter and service went down hill) as they aren t a Bar so we left to go elsewhere. Will never return to this establishment again!
Food was fresh but smoked salmon on philly rolls and not sure if it was white fish on salmon roses wasnt at all what was expected, especially for over $80. Wish there was buffet again
Pleasant staff, nice atmosphere for dining in. Deep fried tofu was slimy and was not served with the sauce described on the menu.
It s a nice place, but, unfortunately the sashimi pieces were frozen.
Ive been in to dine once 10 yrs back nice buuut ordering out they not only charged me 5 which I know is custom since covid but the to say theyre not gonna deliver unless I tip I think is rude which I would anyway. Aside the vegetarian rolls were great fresh but cost over 40 dollars for 12 tiny rolls vegetarian with cucumber avocado only 6 coconut shrimp and literally misou soup was pure broth with couple green leaves. Maybe better in but dont recommend delivery. pretty disappointing to pay over 40 for 12 tiny rolls 6 shrimp and broth the broth thats supposed to have stuff in it was costly 5.00 Good rolls but with 3 pieces ginger and hardly any wasabi...advice dont get delivery from them. THE lady wasnt even sure if they deliver I knew they did....ridiculous to ask on phone for tipping. Its a custom not a priority. Ill never order again
Food is always good but I had a bit of trouble with their service, ordered online and paid for delivery but online said I needed to pickup(can t leave my place of work) so I called them, they explain they aren t providing delivery that day but I had already paid for it online- we were able to come to an agreement that they would deliver to me, and they did which was really nice of them. Thank you so much
Was a great restaurant when they did get all-you-can-eat. open hours are all over the place if I didnt know any better you think that this restaurant is a front they seemed they dont want to do any business at all
On a work related trip and close to the Hyatt Hotel next to the Marina. Felt that a good Japanese meal would satisfy and it did. Had the beef Bento box with all the key sides. I added one ton as well. Ordered white wine for a nice compliment to the meal. Service was fast including the meal too. Comfortable and close to the hotel made it all the more enjoyable. Highly recommend Aji Sai for a single or a group meal outing.
Don t waste your time or money! Especially with ordering ahead cause they will call back 5 mins later to tell you they don t have what you ordered, instead of saying that while being on the phone the first time, worst customer service I ve ever had Food
The sushi here was amazing! Fresh and delicious. The severs were so nice. The only thing I didnt like is they have no All You Can Eat. That is a bit of a deal breaker for me. Ill be back to order take out but not dine in.
From what food we had, it was pretty good. The service, however, was very bad. 2 hours waiting for food that never ended up coming, and one of the waitresses staring at me every time she walked by. I was super excited and took the time to drive into belleville to eat here, only to get less than half of what I ordered. There were multiple tables after us that got much more food than we did. Our drinks were warm, who wants a warm beer? We decided to just leave, I said I wouldnt pay more than half the price of the meal, which the lady at the cash had agreed. She asked me if I drove all the way there from out of town, I said yes, we did, and she said, Come back soon. I was excited all day to eat here and it was my first time..
Absolute worse sushi place I have been to, service was really bad. They had just opened their dining room and my partner and I decided to dine in, we weren t sure if we were going to do single order or the all you can eat. The hostess asked us if we re doing the all you can eat and I said we havent decided yet. I asked her if I could let her know when we sit down. When we sat down I asked her what s the difference between their actual menu and their all you can eat menu. She told me to figure it out myself. They didn t ask us anything to drink until we re halfway through our food. Service was very slow even though it seemed like a slow night. The food was not very good the rice they used for the sushi was half cooked and the tuna sashimi my partner got was rotten, it had a really bad smell so he didn t even bother trying it. You also have to pay $5 per sushi roll that you don t finish, which seems bogus
My wife did not want sushi. We wanted on all you can eat and one order off menu. We used to do that before covid. We still do at other locations. They wanted us to sit at different tables. Like saying I am a crook. I was humiliated. I said no we will just go to another restaurant and then we walked out. To me this was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL of them. I do understand their thought but suggest they really rethink. They reduced the all you can eat menu so it made it hard for my wife to get dollars worth.
Food was alright when we got it but the staff kept losing our tables order slip. Sat from 6:30-8:30 and waited the vast majority of that time without food, drinks or any service.
The food was okay but the service was the worst I ve ever experienced. My boyfriend and I heard that all you can eat was back so we went and we definitely regret it. We placed our order of 14 items and within 20 minutes we received 4/14 items however, after we had finished those items the waitress came over, took the plates and asked if we were finished or if we wanted to order more. We explained we were still waiting on lots of things and she claimed that she had no idea what I was talking about and said we only ordered the items we had already got. She left and came back saying we didn t order more than 4 items. They somehow lost our order (although I took a picture before sending it in) so we ordered the same items again and hoped for the best. At this point we were there for an hour and we were over it. We had 3 other waitresses come up to us asking if we were going to pay and every time we said we were still waiting they acted like they didn t know what we were talking about. 2 and a half hours after ordering the food came out and it was cold and soggy almost not edible. There is no communication between waitresses and the kitchen staff. I ve never experienced such horrible service. We left feeling ignored, forgotten, overall we were annoyed and disgusted by the service we received. We will not be back after this. Our business will be going elsewhere from now on!
They just started doing a All-you-can-eat sushi so they are still working out the kinks. Everything was delicious and the staff was very friendly. Vegetarian options: There are no descriptions for the rolls so you need to know whats in them or ask the server. They offer a variety of tempura veggies (mixed veg, broccoli, mushroom), theres miso soup, and seaweed salad is my favorite. Went with a vegan friend and she did ot go hungery.
They just got their AYCE back. Not a lot of choices though. Hopefully it gets better! But still better sushi rolls than the one we usually go to in Kingston.
We went back for the 1st time since covid closure. There is 1/3 of the choices. They are now using fillers in their rolls. The flavor was sadly lacking from the food. This was by far the worst meal my husband and I have ever had at Aji Sai. We will not be back!
I ve been waiting for dine in to open since they shut it down for Covid. Finally tonight it was open and my family was so excited. unfortunately, we left after 25 minutes of sitting there, server took our drink order , never returned with drinks or acknowledged us, walked by multiple times. ( I also had our 1 year old with us ) this was unacceptable. We had our order ready to be taken away and was so excited to be there. We left dissatisfied and disappointed, we likely will never return. There is a place in Trenton call trenton sushi that is cheaper and much better all around I think we will stick to.
Food is okay, service is terrible. All you can eat is a joke. We sat at our table for 25 mins waiting for them to come and take our next round of orders and never came out so we just left. They charged me 10$ more for my 5 year old cause they told me she was 6 years old even though she is 6 in a month. Will never be back. If your going to not go for the all you can eat and even the regular sushi is overpriced for the quality.
Absolutely worst dining experience EVER!! The all you can eat option is an illusion. You have to pay extra per person at the table for sashimi. The all you can eat menu options are very limited and we had to continuously remind the wait staff that we were missing rolls and kitchen items. Our waitress would come to the table and stare at us and we would need to dismiss her that we were good and we would let her know if we needed anything. (There was absolutely no language barrier with this particular waitress) She then went on break, sat across from our table and stared at us the entire time while she rate her lunch. She then comes over to us to clear the plates with what appeared to be a tampon hanging out of her nose! . We watched her clear plates from not only our table, but the table across from us, and then serve food to the people sitting at the windows all the while this tampon hanging out of her nose. I confronted her at the cash register about how inappropriate it was, and that she should go out back until her issue resolved itself. She explained that she got a random nose bleed That it was OK because she washed her hands! Apparently her boss would be mad If she didn t return to waiting tables! We were absolutely APPALLED and will NEVER return to this establishment
AYCE on point ! Everything was excellent. Go back for the AYCE that you have been missing since pandemic
Very small all you can eat, with rules
what sushi place closes at 8:30 with all you can eat? trash
Sushi rolls were ok. The pizzas have gotten much thicker with less toppings. We never got 2 of the rolls we ordered. Never offered a second drink . This place used to be great, but not anymore. Go somewhere else. Food
Steer clear. Way too much rice, not enjoyable. Very overpriced.
Do not eat here. Rude staff, high cost and low quality food. This use to be my favorite restaurant. Not recommended. Waste of money. Food : 1/5
Service is always hit or miss. Food is decent most times, but sometimes can be cool-ish when it should be warmer. Rolls are usually your best bet. Sauce on the beef rice and cowboy rolls is delicious! Edit: 01/22: no dine in at this time. Take out is ok, Get more rolls vs kitchen food.
Amazing food !!!
Price, quality and quantity was excellent.
That tuna is far from being fresh ....
They were great before Covid. Now they refuse to open for dine in
Honestly the best sushi in Belleville. I wish I had stopped to take a photo, because the food looks delicious and tastes SO good, but as soon as we got it, we ate it. lol Fast delivery, and GREAT food! We moved to Belleville not too long ago, and we kept trying to find a quality sushi place, only to no avail! Until we found Aji Sai! Its the best sushi that weve had! So grateful that theyre local and we finally found a place that has fabulous food!
Open up your restaurant your over prices taken out isnt worth it
Always polite fair prices and food tastes amazing
Good sushi and a gorgeous facade. The food didnt really amaze me but that might have just been me and on that day. I will for sure visit again and with luck update this review Update may 9, 2022: Google says dine but the take out only sign when I arrived said otherwise. Not a great second visit tbh
I was very disappointed ordering off skip the dishes to find your portion sizes are small for the price you charge. Its rice and nori. How expensive can you make it!?
I was out for a scooter ride with my kids when I decided to order some sushi from here to eat at Zwicks park. I have a 4 year old, so I always order the same sushi for him because he is very particular and wont try new things. When we got to Zwicks Park I open my bag and the order was wrong and it was the sushi rolls that my 4 year old likes that were wrong. I didnt have a vehicle and I was alone with my kids and couldnt easily/quickly return so I called and explained what happened and asked if they could possibly deliver what I actually ordered and they were rude and indirectly called me a liar. I will no longer support this restaurant and its not a big loss because their food is only mediocre anyways.
Only offering takeout, which ruins the idea of all you can eat sushi
The food is good but they are NOT all you can eat anymore, because they only have take out and cannot dîne in anymore. Very disappointing
Gave a good rating because before covid they were one of my favorites. Used to go several times a month with friends. They have lost my business to Trenton sushi and Thai sushi since they refuse to reopen the dining room. Hope dragon rolls rebuilds.
Wont support them, my friend came down from Halifax, we were hoping to go get some sushi but they are still take out only, which is very disappointing as we used to go to get sushi whenever we could was kind of a just hang out day. They are now just trying to make as much money as possible, probably going under or just being greedy as they know they are one if the only sushi places in town. I hope dragon rolls rebuilds as they were far superior in both quality and politeness.
Super disappointed that they arent opening up all you can eat :(
Please, open up your dining area. We love your sushi but dont want take out. This is not helping your business when your dining room cant be open to customers!!
Might have to change this soon but they are no longer doing all you can eat.
Says all you can eat in the sign but doesnt actually offer it any more. Just to be aware...
Always long wait time
Mediocre service. Food is also meh for the price
They weren t open for forever bc of covid..now they want you to order off the menu when the sign says ALL YOU CAN EAT..too bad Dragon Rolls is no longer..they were so much better than this dumpy place
This is probably the worst restaurant I have ever been: 1. The waitress did not understand/spoke well English, could not explain the dishes, wrote the order in Chinese, making it difficult to know if she is getting your oder right. 2. The worst part: they serve their food in paper plates! 3. We were two families, it took them 4 attempts to split the bill correctly! 4. The food was terrible! The chicken teriyaki tasted like cheap boiled chicken, honestly, I dont know how you can get this wrong. My children love sushi and they did not want to eat their order! The place itself looks very decent, they really need to work on their food and service!
Very friendly staff clean restaurant. We will go back
Stopped in with my daughter for lunch. Walked in and was told very rudely to read the sign on the window that they are only open for take out orders. I will never darken the door again.
Wish it was open for dine in. Still not open. Trenton sushi is the place we go now. Aji Sai is not all you can eat. Take out only
They are using very fresh tasty fish. I recommend trying the salmon sashimi. Nice and quiet atmosphere as well. I would recommend this place to my friends.
Food not the greatest Parking: Ample parking
Ordered take out. Large quantity, ok quality. Decent price. Sushi was dry, minimal filler. I think it would be much better for its sit down, ayce.
Used to go here all the time for the buffet. Its been over 2 years and they wont reopen the buffet. Such a shame. Since the pandemic started aji sai was delivery only. I get it . It s supposed to be all you can eat and sushi is expensive. Well the seats are back open but no all you can eat! Why? Because they make more money! Well I think this is ridiculous. And I boycott them for being greedy!!
Their business model has changed from great food, friendly and low price to mediocre food, expensive and very rude We found the food was not as good as it used to be before Covid. Much of the seafood tasted watery, as if it was frozen, and the miso soup was almost cold. But what really insulted us was when we were given the bill, the cashier pointed out in a stern voice, not once, but twice that tips were not included!! Now we know why there were so few customers there.
Never knew Teriyaki can go wrong, beef is very flavorless, veggies in the bento box is basically lettuces with some basic sauce . The price is the same with Toronto s equivalent Japanese restaurants but quality is way lower. Would not recommend
How awful . And open your buffet
They cancelled all you can eat but the sign outside still says that you can have it. The food is not good, sashimi is not fresh. The food that they put onto your table is quite different from what you ordered. The miso soup comes without spoons. You have to wave So many times to grab attention
Always good, no longer all you can eat but good prices,
This restaurant has sadly gone downhill. This used to be one of our favorite places and I dont think well be eating here again. We ordered take out and 1/3 of our food was inedible. The gyozas were rock hard and the seaweed and wakami salad tasted rancid. The fish on the rolls has been cut in half from what you used to get and half of the inside of the roll is just cucumber. It cost over $100 for less than mediocre food.
Decided to change from all you can eat buffet à la cart Purely for profit
I recently visited AJ Sai which used to be a great spot but the past few times i was extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. The seaweed salad was rancid and inedible, the pad Thai had only noodles and boiled chicken, and the chicken teriyaki was tasteless. I called in to get a refund for the seaweed and got a response of sorry and got hung up on. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Not all you can eat anymore. Not worth eating here over toro. Hoping you go out of business, and something better opens in your space.
Favorite sushi place. They remember you always.
Can never follow simple instructions
Great place when was able to dine in but covid has stopped that, love the food staff is great and makes you feel like you matter to them, cant wait for restrictions to lift. Still get take out. Salmon Roses is to die for
They messed up my order, I called and asked them to rectify it with no luck. Ill go elsewhere for my sushi fix from now on.
Delicious as always, and my pick up orders are almost always ready right on time. Friendly staff.
I enjoy eating here when I can. The Service is friendly and quick. Good quality food with great portions. A definite recommendation.
Great sushi. Love the Aji Sai roll.
Love it!! Food is so good. First time I tried sushi
They put dried sea weed on ice burg lettuce and served it to me as a wakame salad
Just bad.
The best sushi Ive had in a really long time!!! Will definitely be a regular customer!
Fairly new to the Belleville area and have been trying out a few sushi spots ... Aji Sai is our winner!! We have ordered from their establishment a quite a few times now and have never been disappointed! Highly recommend
Enjoy
Closed for dinning
Staff was super nice and I m VERY grateful to them as one of the few Asian restaurants in Belleville. The portion of shrimp with their noodles was generous and the Singapore noodles were tasty. My only warning is the pad Thai is made with ketchup (I believe)
Great food. Cheese wontons are to die for!
Pretty sure these guys burned down Dragon Rolls so they could close their interior dining and charge ala carte for everything.
Sadly they do not do dine in which is what we were looking for. Ended up making the trip to Kingston
Quick easy place to get sushi
AYCE sushi. Prices are expected, quality is on par with some good suburban Toronto chains. Good atmosphere, excellent selection of food. Would go again.
Delicious food, ready very quickly, at a good price!
As of today, the place is still takeout only. For those who are looking for a in-person experience like I did, check another place. But if you dont mind having a takeout, go for it.
Sushi is good, I love getting the California rolls but they literally never answer the phone. Ive tried multiple times and they just let it ring, good luck placing an order...
The fact that its still takeout only this far into the pandemic is upsetting to me
Like another reviewer said, its hilarious that this restaurant is still take out only. The quality of their sushi sure isnt worth the prices of eating alacarte, and the variety they had on their dinner AYCE menu was one of the pros of this place. Theres a ton of better a la carte places around town. Sushi Maru, Kumo, Chef Box are all places Ive personally been to and can recommend.
My wife and I were craving sushi, so looked around. While many places were closed, this one was open! We took a look at the menu. We immediately noticed they had a wide variety of options to choose from: including meat and vegetarian sushi rolls. We placed the order and then drove there for pickup. I went inside to pick it up and noticed how sleek and trendy the restaurant looked. I was immediately greeted my a staff member, who promptly processed my order. We went home and were immediately pleased with the taste of the delicious sushi and noodles that we had ordered. They were affordable and excellent portion sizes. We will definitely consider this restaurant again!
A little busy for take out, but totally worth the wait. Food was very tasty.
I often order from Aji Sai. The food is always prepared fresh and is excellent quality.
