I lucked into eating your incredible fries on Saturday at the Milford Fair . oh my God , nobody makes fries like that. theyre the fries that I used to love at the cafeteria in high school and I have not been able to find them since . thank you . I will be over to Bellville lots now to feed my new obsession!!

Will never give this place my business again.stopped yesterday for food and needed to use a washroom badly.was told I was not allowed to use the washroom.

This truck has of late not been as good as it used to be. I wonder if it went under new ownership since some time last summer. Things have changed and not for the better. Went recently and ordered a few burgers, poutine, fries and gravy, drinks. Asked for gravy on the side. It was written down on the slip. Our order comes up and gravy was on the fries. We point that out and the person behind the counter rudely says with a tone, well if you want new ones that will take 10 minutes. They clearly didnt want to redo the order. Considering they screwed up my order you would think they could pump out an order of fries to correct their mistake in half that time. We were eating with a group so we didnt want to wait 10 minutes so we took it as is. Burgers come served on a small paper napkin. Not wrapped or in a container to keep them warm. Burger is very small, low quality and seems like a frozen patty. Used to visit this truck often. This will be the last visit here. Service bad, presentation bad, food average at best. Edit - reply to owner of Herberts Fries. Interesting that you refer to a tin foil wrap as expensive. I also find it interesting that you suggest I should appreciate being served by your establishment, but its quite the contrary. I am the customer and you should be the one who appreciates MY business. You wont be in business long with the view that your customers are the ones to be appreciative of your food truck. To suggest that how I ordered my fries with gravy being on the side as my preference and in your response saying that it tastes the same gravy on or on the side is absurd. You are in the food and service business for gods sake, you cant tell a customer how they like their sauce applied. Its a simple request yet you FAILED. Just own it and do better. The burger, honestly sub par. That is not a fresh burger. No way no chance. If you read your reviews closer others have also told you about the serving on a napkin is NOT ideal. Yet you come up with excuses that a foil wrap is expensive?!?! Really????? Not taking customers feedback to improve where you fall short will end up badly for you. I guarantee it. Only a fool thinks they cant do wrong in business. My 1 star review stands and based on your response as a business owner it solidifes my experience.

Arrived at 10:52, was told not open. windows open etc. I said website says 10:30 was told no that s wrong. she said she was all alone and couldn t help us. we asked what about in 8 minutes as that s when they opened by her she said she didn t know she was all by herself. was extremely rude we were going to wait the 8 minutes but she told us she didn t know when she would be open. would not recommend waste of our lunch break.

One of THE best chip trucks around. Service with a smile, always. Food portions are decent, considering all the shrinkflation around us, this place continues to perform well. Thanks for being top notch

Best poutine in all of Belleville! If you haven t tried the preggo pleaser poutine( whether you ve got a bun in the oven or not) you are truly missing out. Every single time we visit this chip truck we are astounded at the service speed and deliciousness of the food. Whenever we have a hankering for a French fry there is no better place than Herbert s. Terrific bacon cheese burger- good quality burger with all the fixings. In my opinion the only thing that could add to this beautiful experience would be an ice cold beer alongside of it. The owners are beyond accommodating - I ve never experienced poor service and we have been many times- in fact we had one issue once where my ( actually pregnant) sister came down with her family to try said preggo pleaser poutine - poutine with cheese sauce ranch drizzle and deep fried pickles on top and she noticed they were short one pickle on hers compared to mine- my husband approached the owners and they were more than accommodating- giving her pickles to snack on while they made her new deep fried ones. Would give lower than 1 star if possible. Outrageously obnoxious people/ownership. Blatantly tells customers to go somewhere else. Will gladly eat anywhere else than Herbert s Fries terrible serviced frozen box burger. After finally getting my meal I wouldn t even feed it to my dog, in fear of her getting very sick from their food.

Friendly and attentive staff, and AMAZING food!! 100% recommend! Our family will stick to this one for sure. They even had freezies for the kids and dog treats for our furry kids

The service was bad; they served me my double cheeseburger wrapped in just one napkin. They should have at least put it on a paper plate, considering how greasy the burger was. How am I going to feel good about supporting this small business if they treat customers like this? How can you give them a tip when the service is like this?

OMG! If you have not tried the poutine here, you are missing out! Its big enough to share. (But Im not sharing lol)

I stopped by at lunch to buy poutine for the first time, as I hadnt heard of it yet. Ordered 4 to go and 2 burgers. The atmosphere is very pleasant, parking is ample. The only caveat was that we ordered takeout and didnt have any bags to put in the car, but as there were two of us we managed to bring it home without dropping the packaging. The flavor was super delicious, a full portion is very satisfying, I eat a lot and managed to eat half and saved the other half for later. I highly recommend it. Next time I would enjoy the experience of the place, thats what I recommend too if you have time, enjoy the atmosphere. Parking: Many vacancies available.

It was so yummy. So happy to sit outside with a friend and visit. That stop makes it easy.

As a frequent traveller of the 401, we were looking for something different than the usual road trip fast food. We chose Herberts because it was convenient, but their quality food and service will have us coming back for more! I think this is our new road trip pit stop :) 10/10

I saw a review about this place that said the poutine was perfectly layered, no naked fries so I had to test that. They werent kidding! Very nice poutine, fresh cut fries, curds and gravy are all delicious. I picked it up as a late lunch figuring Id have something for dinner later - I didnt need to, I was still full from the poutine! Conveniently located across from the CAA Arena, tons of parking, tables and a nice river view to boot. Skip the concessions in the arena folks and eat here first. Youll be full for the whole game and youll probably save a few bucks too.

The food here is pretty tasty, they have a good variety of items including a gluten free/vegan gravy. The service is fine, seems a little unorganized but they still manage to get the food out. They have a POS machine so you can pay debit if you dont have cash. Lots of picnic tables, some with umbrellas. Nice open area location right on the water, lots of parking.

Went there once, never again. 2nd worst fries Ive ever had. Our order was wrong, as well as the people in front of us, and it wasnt even busy.

Love my poutine very generous portions, hot crispy fresh cut fries loaded with cheese curds and gravy. The prego pleaser is amazing as well. Definitely recommend. Fries and poutine were ...alright nothing special but the hot dog was more on the raw side then cook...and it had a funny taste. Food not so good but service was good.

Fries were amazing, although I think possibly, when ordering Fries N Gravy, to ask if you want the gravy on the side or on the Fries. I found the gravy really salty. Also ordered a Pemeal Bacon with cheese on a Bun, with Lettuce and Tomatoe. First, forget to put cheese on. Think I kind of expected a little bit greesy, melty, with cheese, goodness. Think it may have been overcooked, pemeal bacon, dry and almost tasteless. Might have been better to have had the gravy on the side, to dip the on a bun into?

The fries were excellent, the chicken burger, meh.

They are at a good location and they offer outdoor seating but otherwise its not very good. The best part was the gravy but the fries were small and over cooked and there are less expensive food truck options in Belleville (Gators Fries) that offer better portions and better prices. Wont go back not worth it.

Thank you for the excellent customer service. Not only did my daughter receive a free freezie, but the gentleman serving us added curd to her small fries to make it poutine. We left with full bellies.

Been a few times now. Location is great, food is mediocre, much better food trucks in Belleville. Wasn t going to write a review, but to see the owner respond so rudely to so many people I would happily write a bad review. Everyone should be able to write a review about their experience and if they got bad food.

Best pemeal on a bun Ive ever had

Yummy poutine made with the best curd from Empire Cheese Factory. The hotdogs were fantastic and my husband said the sausage and bacon on a bun was excellent. Definitely hit the spot on this cool fall evening!

Wow! Incredible fries is right! Today was my first time stopping by Herberts Incredible Fries, and not only are the fries truly INCREDIBLE, but the two ladies working were both super nice! (I was the guy who sang the Golden Girls theme song.) Anyway, I was craving chip truck fries, so I googled best chip truck near me, and this one was at the top of this list. Im not even from the area, I just happened to be passing by. Anyway, Im home now, it is a few hours later, the leftover fries are cold, but STILL DELICIOUS! Man!!! I dont know if its the oil they use, or the care they obviously put into their work, but they were, without hyperbole, the absolute BEST Chip Truck fries Ive ever had! 8 bucks for a large, totally worth it EDIT: Update - popped the fries in the microwave for 30 seconds, gave them a splash of vinegar an a few pinches of salt, and they might as well be brand new! Still better than a lot of other chip trucks out there!

Best Darn Road side stand Ive been to. Food is delicious, Great menu, Fast service, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend that you try them Beautiful view of the river waterways and you always see a few fish or turtles

My husband and I agree that this is the best poutine weve had in the Belleville region. We just did poutine fest as well and Herberts won in our opinion hands down. Fries are fresh cut everytime too which surprisingly many of the other trucks at the festival were using frozen fries.

Ive tried Herberts 3 times now.. 1 time out of 3 the fries were good. First time I got bag full of refried pieces. Second time, good crispy light fluffy inside, delicious fries, Third time a soggy half cooked mess Each time I waited 10 - 15 minutes. 1 thing Herberts, you do 1 thing.. and its hit and miss. Burgers.. dont even bother.. cereal burger... not worth it. Cant wait for Marks to open.

HUGE servings, amazing taste and friendly staff. It was a first visit for us, Im sure it wont be the last. Double bacon poutine, pregnancy platter poutine and a double cheese burger. The only thing I would change is that the burger be wrapped in more than a napkin.

Got a poutine, was a good size portion, use curd and fresh cut fries, it tasted like a beef gravy and was a bit salty, some of the fries tasted like they could have been cooked more as the are a thick cut. Price was 8$ for a small. over all good

Food was so good.. Made just the way I like it and Im very particular about my poutine.. fast service! Ill be back

Went there today for the first time and I wasnt very impressed. It was a long wait, the staff wasnt rude but the two young lads didnt seem to know what they were doing and the woman seemed to be training, coaching, taking orders and making food, she seemed annoyed by it and it was showing. I felt bad for her but honestly all the food we ordered was just meh (hot dogs, fries). The only reason I gave 2 stars was because the onion rings were good.

Company agreed to cater a wedding months ago. And 2.5 wks before the wedding they cancel.. Do not book with them! Dont end up in the same boat were in.. Wedding with no food since its prime time wedding season and everyone booked up months ago! Wish I could give them zero. Haha didnt confirm if that was the case we would have found someone else but we didnt you confirmed.. You wanted a deposit you should have spoke up thats your business practice not mine! But again thank you for ruining the food portion of the wedding its really appreciated.

All I Had was a Hot Dog and it was Bestest ever

Thank you for the incredible snacks. I came by here with my toddler. We were craving for hotdog so I bought 1 for my son. He loves it I had the fried pickles for $8 I think its a bit pricey but the quality of taste is really good. The crunch in every bite is worth it. All covered breaded pickles is a Must Try. I absolutely recommend this Thanks and See you again soon!

Great fries and great poutine. They use real curd and it squeaks. Good place to stop off the 401 as its nestled in a park on the river, so you can stretch your legs while youre here. The burger however was not good. Good enough for kids, but not fresh ground beef. Also no rest room (its a chip truck with a seemingly semi permanent location). Worth the stop.
