We hosted our Ascend Christmas party at The Local Social House, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The communication leading up to the event was seamless, making planning stress-free. The food was outstanding, with every dish perfectly prepared and delicious. The service was equally impressive—attentive, friendly, and professional. A huge thank you to the team for making our holiday celebration so special. Highly recommend!
Love this place. Nice staff. Food was great. Love the vibe and the attention to details. The only miss for me was the cocktails were sub par. The old fashioned was muddled oddly and the bitters were too strong. I’ll be back, but if the drinks are not 💯 I’ll send them back.
Went for an early supper. Very nice restaurant, clean, food was very good. The atmosphere was different lol. If you like sitting in Starbucks and having your drink, then you’ll really like this place, if you understand why that’s funny, then this restaurant atmosphere is not for you. Absolutely nothing wrong with the restaurant, just was a special type of experience they are aiming for.
Visited twice once in the summer and now in the fall. The menu changes with the season. Food and drink were excellent, everyone enjoyed their food. Service was great, very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend you come early or book a reservation.
We were pleasantly surprised by the Local Social House. We ordered a few starters and meals, but will.have have to return to sample the desserts! Nice atmosphere and our service was very attentive. The braised beef was great!
We needed to find a proper spot for lunch on the drive home from Toronto in August. Absolutely worth the detour off the 401 and so glad we dropped in. We require gluten free menu options which the hostess proudly informed us, they had. The ceviche and roasted cauliflower were delicious. The gluten free carrot cake was excellent. Many thanks to Melissa for the excellent, attentive service. We will stop in again on our next time through!
This is a great spot day or night, sitting on the patio over the river. Great serving staff, friendly and enthusiastic. Big plus is that the outside seating area is dog friendly with a separate entrance for people with their pets. The food is generally good. Our order of chicken bites was great…especially that they use chicken thighs, way more juicy and the outside was pretty crisp. The ceviche however was incomplete….we had to ask for lemon juice and salt to bring it somewhat close to what real ceviche tastes like, very few shrimp pieces and oddly a guacamole base. The club sandwich was an interesting variation on how club sandwiches are traditionally built. Instead of three slices of bread they went for a whole chicken breast, which sadly is too thick and quite dry between two pieces of toast. More lettuce and mayo would help but I suggest only a half slice chicken breast to make it less dry.
I went for a girls dinner on a Friday night and it was bumpin! They had live music which got some tables up and dancing. We had a beautiful view of the town from the patio. Our food was good. The only downside was the bugs outside of course but nothing we can do about that. We all got different items. I got the curry with chicken. It was filling but I enjoyed the other dishes better. Overall I would recommend coming here for dinner!
Got the smash burgeR and was very good with the fries! Mayo is still $2 side, rodiculous. Got the smash burgeR today and asked for sautéed mushrooms and jalapeños and it was great ..
Sat us at a makeshift corner table with very uncomfortable wooden stools. Uncomfortable because it took 1.5 hours from seating to eating. This is with no appetizers. Always a sad story why these things happen of course. Also overpriced. Will not return.
The Local Social House hosted our 2024 Holiday Staff Party, and WOW what an incredible experience! From start to finish, everything was seamless and beyond exceptional. Dave and his team were organized, attentive, and made sure every detail was perfect. The servers were fantastic friendly, professional, and made us feel well cared for throughout the night. The food? Absolutely delicious! Generous portions, beautifully presented, and full of flavour nothing was lacking. If youre looking for a venue for any occasion, I highly recommend The Local Social House. They truly went above and beyond to make our event unforgettable!
A wonderful Restaurant in Bellville Everything about our Dinner was great will definitely return Food
The most horrific experience EVER. Ordered a glass of wine, a app and the salmon dinner. After eating approximately half the salmon it was discovered that there were worms ( not just 1 but many ) in the meat. I was shocked beyond belief and wasnt sure if I should run the washroom and throw up or what to do. The management came denied what was clearly worms and compted dinner but not the wine or app. I am in utter shock that someone in this type of restaurant would ever * A * deny what they can clearly see and * B * ask me to pay anything after such a horrific experience. STAY AWAY.
visited for the first time to enjoy the Quintelicious menu. The food was delicious especially the crumble. Great atmosphere and a beautiful view of the Moira. Look forward to enjoying a meal on the patio. Reasonably pricing too for a 3 course meal.
Really good food, awesome patio overlooking the river. Very friendly, welcoming and efficient staff.
My husband and I had an amazing experience at The Local! Perfect food, super friendly staff, sweet and calm environment Honestly, one of the best restaurants in Canada we have ever being!
Besides the pretty decor and the excellent service, the menu is very limited, the portions inversely proportional to the price. The taste of the dishes is very ordinary and really not up to the level of the comments consulted
The Local Social House is your average restaurant with less than average service. The food and drink was good, but wasn t anything that exceeded expectations. Prices are a touch above average. Service was very slow. From seating to the initial drink order to food showing up to the table it took on average about 20+ minutes per item to come out. Auto gratuity on groups as well, but service was subpar throughout despite the increased gratuity. Atmosphere is nice as it is on the water. Balcony is peaceful but there is a lot of bees and wasps in summer so be mindful if you have an allergy. Overall, average restaurant with subpar service. Nothing special or noteworthy.
I had the brined smoked chicken. It was delicious, but kinda tough. My wife had the shawarma, which was excellent. And her fries were exceptionally good.
The service was excellentThe food was very good..what there was of it. I ordered the roaste chicken. I got one(very small) piece of chicken on a tasty sauce with a couple of stalks of rappini. For $ 26.00 you couldnt have thrown in a side of fries/ rice or something?
The restaurant terrace had a great energy and ambiance and our server Kierstin delivered exceptional hospitality which is hard to find these days. She elevated our experience and easily handled a challenging group of 6 middle.
Had lunch here with a friend and the food was incredible! I feel awful I forgot our servers name but he was a very nice gentleman and extremely knowledgeable about the menu! I was a server/restaurant manager for many years and was thrilled to have that level of hospitality! Thank you so much to our server, I will definitely try to get his name and update once we go back. If you re in the area you need to check this place out! Patio is very relaxing and atmosphere is chic and classy! Love it! Also! I ended up forgetting my purse! (Had too much fun I guess) Called THE NEXT MORNING and they had it waiting at the host station for me to pick up. Thank you SO much to the honest staff! I am forever greatful!
Unexpected gem in Belleville. I was looking for a decent place to have a quick lunch and previous reviews seemed positive so I stopped by. The food and service far exceeded my expectations.
We had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant on Thanksgiving weekend! They have a prepared menu with a first course, main course and dessert option or separate meals to choose from on the menu. I ordered from the prepared menu - squash soup option, herbed chicken option and their fall crumble. Everything was fabulous! Also, we had a beautiful view of the water from our table. We would love to return another time when we are in Belleville. Thank you Local Social House!
Stopped in Belleville for the week and headed to the local to go for dinner beside the river. I was amazed by the delicious food they offered, and even had live music for the night. Overall amazing experience, and amazing people, could not recommend more!
Cool place. Chicken app and my sons double cheese burger was good. Good overall vibe. Never got my steak frites. If you have Brett as a server, ask for someone else. Your order will get messed up and you will never get a second drink even if it s water. As we were leaving we overheard manager said someone else had to go inside to get a drink. Was empty inside and more than enough severs for outside. Management: need to set the bar much higher on service expectations or who gets what tables.
We had a great time. Very nice waitress- she was very attentive. The food was delicious
We were visiting for the weekend and I was quite excited to try this place even with a limited menu. With all the typical fast food chain restaurants and not having many options in Belleville, I was hopeful. Our food was okay, nothing to rave about and small portions. But, this was some of the worst service we ve ever received. 30 min after being seated for someone to ask if we want a drink, another 25 to ask if we want to order, no one came to check on us. We finished and waited another while for someone to bring a bill, and then another while for change. And it was a Saturday night and they weren t very busy at all to try and understand the major delays.
Nice setting, food is sub-par. Perhaps best for a drink thats it. Also a bit pricey for the quality of food
Great patio. Good service.
Newly opened restaurant on the bank of the Moira River. Plenty of on-site parking. Upscale casual atmosphere. Tables for 2,4,6 and large groups or intimate dinning. Wait staff where great. Shout out to Abby who was exceptionally attentive and friendly. Started with wine and local cider. Shared a toasted sweet potato and mixed green salad. Try the Pickerel cooked to perfection! Pickerel comes on a bed of shaved fennel with seasonal sides( grilled Asparagus and Fiddleheads). Dessert was a chocolate torte with passion fruit curd.. delicious. Looking forward to the outdoor space that partially overhangs the Moira river.
We ate very well and the service was excellent!
Best patio in town. The food was delicious, and pretty fast too. Highly recommend!
Best patio in the city!!!! Get the veggie Sharma, you will not be disappointed. Very friendly service. Ill definitely be back and will try to come when they have live music. Food : 5/5
Bees all over the patio, not as good as the pictures online.
We did not eat. The service was great, drinks were good, sitting outside on the river, whats not to like.
Absolutely perfect, staff, food, and atmosphere.
The atmosphere is magnificent, by the river. When we went there was a band playing good music. Very nice. Staff very fast and friendly. Not many food options but we had a good meal. Recommend
First time in Belleville,& was looking for a nice spot to have dinner with my furry pal. Found this place in google, & they accommodate us in their lovely patio overlooking the lake. *live music every saturday, food was okay we got the shrimp ceviche (forgot to take a pic), fried chicken bites. coconut margarita 8/10. *creme brulee is a must try.
Six of us were here over the long weekend (3 adults and 3 kids under 6yrs old) and were compelled to write this review because the experience was truly outstanding. It had been a long time since I had seen a group of wait Staff works so cohesively together with such a smile on their faces. made our dinner outing truly special. The food was excellent and you can tell they leveraged a lot of local ingredients. Just can t say enough about this gem.
We had a lovely evening out. The service was very well rounded on the menu and the food was cooked exactly the way we liked it. No complaints. Loved the patio that extends over the water. They did a great job rebuilding the place will come back again.
Keirsten (sp?) served us, great service!! Food was yummy. Definitely try, on the water too, bonus !!
Food was good. Menu was space as far as selection. Higher prices but nice atmosphere. Service was friendly
First time patio is wonderful had pickerel which was delicious had potatoes which were undercooked mentioned it twice to server no response didnt offer something else so I paid $32 for 2 pieces of fish unfortunate experience wont be returning
Nice restaurant in the quaint town of Belleville. Must try the watermelon mule and the shawarma! Their barbecue and dill sauces with the chicken wings were great too. Overall, had a lovely evening with some great service and views.
Giving a 3-star; food was great but the service seemed to be lacking. Felt rushed before we had finished our appetizer, as we were asked mid way through it if we wanted to pack it up. Left a note on the reservation that it was our first wedding anniversary and no one told our server. I was hoping for a better table by the waterfront, and some sort of acknowledgment of the anniversary. Our desert was a chocolate pie. It came out rock hard. They were very good about it, took it off our bill, but not the experience i had hoped for. Overall a great location and excellent entrees but the experience this evening wasn t very good. We arrived at 6pm and were out by 6:40pm.
Enjoyed a fantastic meal this evening prepared by Chef Matt and team. Our server Abby was lovely and personable. She made wonderful recommendations. All of the dishes were not only tasty but the presentation was also beautiful. I enjoyed the coconut curry shrimp entree and the strawberry/asparagus salad. The chocolate pie was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. I m hoping when I return that the sun will be out and I ll be able to enjoy the view from the new patio.
I had a great time here. Friendly, efficient, and professional service. Best draft beer list in the area. The chicken bites and the veg shwarma were both delicious, and I would recommend them.
We had lunch on a rainy Saturday and had an excellent experience. The staff are so friendly and thoughtful- excellent service. The food was super fresh and delicious. We had the club sandwich, veg shawarma and oysters. Kid-friendliness: Accommodating the kids, had a kids menu and coloring books
If you want to sit outside and its nice weather, this is a perfect location. Great job on the patio. But....been twice and both times my guest and I found the food was quite disappointing. Last time I was there my guest said the coffee is horrible (I didnt have coffee). Once I hear they improve on the food quality and taste, I would give this place another try.
Little pricy, small portions but the service and atmosphere are great
Went for my Grandmas 80th a few months back, wanted to try out a new place in Belleville and it looked good online. Service was slow and server seemed super green, decor was like they bought all the hunting themed stuff from Chapters. Beer selection was good, cocktails were mediocre. Food was overpriced for what it was, and my veg curry seemed like it had been microwaved (for not long enough). Pretty cold when it hit the table, and didnt taste remotely fresh. Nobody checked on us until we were almost done so I didnt even get a chance to send it back, then they tried to offer us coupons for a discount for next time. The least the manager could have done was comp something or apologize. Needless to say we wont be back to use the coupons. Im only giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the smash burgers were kinda good. Should have gone to Boston Pizza or something lol
Waited an hour and a half for our food, drinks took half hour. Food was cold. Soup portion was half a bowl when it finally came. Worst restaurant experimce I have ever had.
It was great. Very accommodating for people with mobility issues. Wide enough spacing for wheelchairs and walkers. Everything is on 1 level so no steps at all. For was good and a good serving for your money. We arrived early on a Friday evening and was able to sit on the patio by the water. A few families with youngsters along with the party crowd and seniors; so a place for everyone.
1) Waited 40 minutes for our order. 2) Asked NY Striploin Medium Rare, I got I piece of meat overcooked 3) Burned French fries 4) They forgot my salad 5) So many mistakes I could see over the tables everywhere. They need a lot of work in this place between FOH & BOH. Sorry but the cute location is not enough. Disaster. Not recommended.
The good thing is the patio. Its beautiful and dog friendly.
Excellent food and locations overlooking the river!
Sophia was brilliant Unquestionably the finest hostess we have ever encountered And (Make no mistake) We have encountered some fine hostesses
Perfect terrace, very good service and good ambiance. It s a shame that they serve food! The food is ok at best!
Me and my significant other went here for our third year anniversary. First Impressions, the restaurant looked modern and the view was spectacular! The service was really good. Everyone was friendly and nice, but I do think the restaurant was quiet mainly because it was lunchtime so it wasn t overly too busy which is good. I ended up getting the Ontario Pickerel and my SO got the Smashburger, which were both very delicious! We also ended up getting the appetizers of roasted peppers and Crème brûlée for dessert which were also very good. Personally, the coconut marg Was a bit of a letdown. It was a bit too sour. I personally should ve asked them to take it back, but I had it adjusted a little bit and it was all right. Me and my significant other would definitely visit Again in the future, if we ever in Belleville again.
Great food and service. Nice location on the water. Would definitely go back.
Good food, service and ambience.
Popped in for a drink in the patio with my wife before going to an event that evening. The place is night and day from the old Red Lion pub. Beautiful inside, fantastic patio right on the water. Loved the atmosphere. Friendly service as well.
I made a reservation at this place due to the positive reviews. The biggest issue I had here is that it took almost 2 hours to get our main course. The server was apologetic which was appreciated but I think when it takes over an hour just to get two appetizers out something needs to be done to make up for that. The food was just OK.
Exceptionally bad... waited over an hour and a half tonight for sub par pub food, no real apologies or offer to comp the pop or anything. The place wasnt even full and the live music was really bad. Go literally anywhere else, seriously.
Just awful... took over an hour just to get two appetizers that were so heavily seasoned with salt and drenched in grease. Once we got our food 2 hours later it was most flavorless thing I had ever eaten. I feel genuinely bad for the cow that had to die just to be made into the sad excuse of a burger I was served that costed 22$.. The live music was atrocious but probably the best part just from how hilariously bad it was. We called in early to check if they had any gluten free options which they said they had. We then told the server we had someone that is celiac and they acknowledged it but the cooks clearly didnt care as her stomach started acting up afterwards. This place is not worth your time, you could do better literally anywhere else and it would probably be cheaper too
This is a super neat place to eat and hang out with friends and family. The service is top-notch, friendly and super quick. The menu is small, but everything looks delicious. They have a lot of craft beer on tap including MacKinnon Brothers. We had the flatbread to start which was absolutely amazing. For entrees we had the pickerel. Im not a huge fan of olives but the olive tapenade worked so well with the dish. The chili was top notch, best weve ever had around here. We will be visiting again!
Food was pretty good, not exceptional. The service was fantastic. Just a few small things. With the price point they charging for food to have a menu on a clipboard is kind of cheap and cheesy. The second thing is they should have either refinished the outside deck or at least cleaned and pressure-washed it. Details matter.
Excellent atmosphere in modern chic design right on the water with panoramic views. Interior provides beautiful vibe for either a first date or group of friends wanting to hang out. exterior is equally as beautiful and patio is large enough as not to feel crowded. Service pace was perfect and staff seemed very friendly. Food was very flavorful and sizing was great. Only knock is the drink menu is larger than the food menu. It does lack some options and is a bit on the pricey side. Overall, a great restaurant and will be back again and again.
Ordered the snitzel, fresh salad, wings and the kids meal - red pasta and cookies and milk came with the meal. Everything tasted good. The salad was a little bit too vinegary but the ingredients were all very fresh. The meal was yummy and glad we tried the place. Had great view of the water but probably need reservations for that. Revisited Aug 5, 2023 Ordered the burger, nuggies, and lobster roll. The burger was good, very delicious. The lobster roll was good, the chips were a little salty/spicy and the salad that came with it was delicious. The kids meal nuggies and fries was good except the fries I found were like drenched in salt, so salty. Not too sure if I would reorder lobster roll maybe try the burger next time. The only thing is the wait is long, service is so sloooowww. Revisited May 18, 2024 Update, service was fast we ordered lunch along with kids meal. Burger was great, shrimp scampi and kids. Vegetarian options: Salad Parking: Lots of spots for parking Kid-friendliness: Kids menu
Absolutely fantastic restaurant. Our favorite place to go when were in Belleville!
Vegetarian options: Plenty Parking: Amazing food. Highlight were brussheta and Hummas with olives. Thank you Casey for your awesome hospitality Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options
My steak was very good. Need sharper steak knifes. Starters were delicious. Prices are a lil outrageous. So is everywhere..
If I could give more than five stars, I would. Fine dining finally comes to Belleville exceptional food, service, and view. You must try the Steak Frites and for dessert, the Chocolate Torte. A wonderful lunch overlooking the river. Thank you, Keno.
We had a great evening. The menu the perfect sizer with many local wines and food options. Our first experience was excellent. The atmosphere next to the flowing river, live music and a wonderful selection of fresh oysters, local food and produce, paired with local wine options. Brett was an excellent server. Thank you Local for a wonderful evening, we ll be back to experience the patio.
Food was good but Id like to see a bigger burger for the price of it. Service was alright our waiter was a bit awkward and assumed that my girlfriends dad was paying even though we were going to do a split bill. Didnt even ask. The gentleman that brought out our food was amazing though, very funny
Amazing night at the Local Social House! Great food, unbelievable talented musical entertainment and the staff is awesome. Will be back very soon!
Great place to eat. Super great quality of food and decent price. Well worth a check out.
We were looking forward to taking a friend out and having some quality time conversing. Due to a birthday gathering several tables over it was impossible to hear anything other than the obnoxious behaviour/language coming from this group. It s somewhat of a pricy place and we were disappointed to have to deal with this type of atmosphere in this type of setting :(. The food was ok.
Great place with great food and hard workers!
Amazing dinner with great service, 10/10 all around!
Good happy hour!
First time in, love the space and food/service was excellent. Definitely going back for some patio time on that gorgeous river view deck!
Outstanding establishment to enjoy a nice meal at with family and friends. The staff were very attentive and courteous, and the food was fantastic. The view of the river was amazing, and the newly renovated patio looks great. They even have a crud table outside to enjoy a little friendly competition while socializing with your friends!
The Local Social House is a must visit when in Belleville! The service is great and the food is delicious. When we visited, there was fantastic live music which contributed to the lively atmosphere with picturesque views of downtown Belleville.
Beautiful place, great food, great drinks (decorative garnishes were a nice touch), great service and comfortable seating, music was great too! The outdoor area looks like it will be awesome in the warmer months and the view over the water is lovely, we will come back to enjoy!
Wasnt the best experience tonight. The plate we had wasn t the best!! We have had better here before
Had a 6:30 reservation had to wait 30 minutes for a table and it wasnt full. Didnt get one bit of food till 7:30. Waiter nice but not knowledgeable. Food good Steak very salty but cooked to requested temperature. Curry dish excellent. View of the water was great and the atmosphere inside was fun and well decorated. Tanner , the manager, is excellent at his job and he did his best to make up for any issues we had. Worth a visit.
If you are coming here for fine dining and excellent food, you may be disappointed. For the prices, I had expected better quality. I ordered the baked brie as well as the gnocchi with added chicken. The baked brie was as expected, nothing to write home about and nothing you couldnt make yourself at home for less. However, the gnocchi was store bought pre packaged and the sauce was all one flavour note- mildly cajun. The chicken was unremarkable, cut up and mixed in with the bland sauce. Another at my table had the special that evening, the grilled cheese. Again, for such a high dining appearance, it was a home quality sandwich. Another at the table had their burger, a staple on any menu, and was disappointed to find that a Five Guys burger had more flavour and satisfaction to it. Everyone in our party was left wanting more from their plates, which made the pricing feel inappropriate. The restaurant apologized for the long wait times and brought complimentary deserts. Although it was comped, the chocolate slice was laughable and we had hoped it wasnt how it was normally served. It was about the thickness of a chocolate bar, Id call it a fun size desert. The views were absolutely gorgeous out of the back of the restaurant. The atmosphere inside was lovely, with clean and welcoming bathrooms. The service was great, attentive, and they were quick to rectify any problems. If you are looking for a nice atmosphere but youre not into fine dining levels of cuisine, this is the spot for you. The Local Social House is a great for someone with a more subdued or simple pallette. Kid-friendliness: I would not bring boisterous or small children here.
After a rough first time, the second visit was perfect. Good food, nice choice of beers and good service.
Awesome place. Not cheap but everything is worth it!
Great atmosphere with amazing river views. Food was fantastic. Very well thought out cocktail menu. Friendly, accommodating staff. Definitely a must try.
We just had an outstanding meal at the Social House. Curry with shrimp and smash burger were delicious. Fast service. Waitress Anna was outstanding. Friendly, attentive and looked like she was happy to be there. They accommodated us without a reservation. Great view of the water and bridge. Highly recommend this little gem in Bellville. Decor was modern and peaceful but great social atmosphere.
Really enjoyed our first time there. Service was pleasant and prompt. Cocktails were good, Cranberry Gin Fizz is a yes! The Guiness was smooth and on tap. Then, it was followed by wings and a Smash Burger. Excellent food and good portions. The Creme Brulee was also excellent and just right to share. We will return. Parking: Spaces for about 15-18 cars.
My husband and I celebrated Valentines Day at The Local and were very happy with our experience! Live music, special menu and our server (Tanner) was great. He made some recommendations, which made for great pairings. The food was delicious!! It was a set menu for Valentines Day so we each ordered different things to try it all and we were very pleased! I have been there multiple times and have never been disappointed with the food. Always excited to go back!
Food was just ok...very pricey considering the lack luster food. Went with a big group and no one thought the food was anything to rave about.
Beautiful place right by the water. The ambiance is great, even when youre not seated by the window. The coconut curry is to die for!! Definitely a good spot to bring friends and family from out of town.
Great stop for quality well priced food.
Was hoping to have nice Easter meal at the Local BAD mistake. $ 131.67 down the drain. Service bad no waiter to be seen. Restaurant was not busy. Food the worst one step up from McDonalds fries burnt, steak dry no salt no pepper. My family came from Toronto what a bad experience will NO RECOMMEND TO ANYONE
Beautiful spot and entrees were decent, but be warned, the charcuterie is 42 dollars
We saw Tyler Joe Miller at the Local Social, was a busy night for the servers and bar staff but we had a great meal. Smash burgers are good, plenty of French fries. They got the portions right. Good selection of local beers. Only downside? The Ketchup - just serve the good ol stuff. We ll be back when the patios open guaranteed! Dietary restrictions: Would have loved to see a gluten free bun on the menu.
Vegetarian options: A couple of vegetarian options, both interesting
Great customer service, we were served by Shawn today and he was very friendly and welcoming. The food was perfect but honestly if it sucked I still would take the leap of faith and come back just because the customer service over there is so good!
Weve had dinner at this restaurant twice so far in as many weeks and well definitely return. The atmosphere is upbeat, decor is fresh and modern and the view of the river is quite nice. The servers are friendly and provide the right amount of attention. We had Shawn during our last visit and he is amazing! Vegetarian options: Some vegan and vegetarian options are available, in addition to meat options.
This is a lovely addition to the downtown area. The decor was stunning, the food was delicious and you get a beautiful view to boot! All of the staff was so friendly and personable, a special acknowledgment though to our server Shawn, efficient, funny and did it all with a smile. 10/10 recommend and will be back!
Venue: beautiful Food and drinks: amazing Staff: amazing - Thank you so much to our server, Shawn for the amazing service and recommendations. He made our experience lovely. We will definitely be back. Recommendation for vegetarians Highly recommend
Hands down the best food in the area. The short rib is to die for!
The food looks really good but it s just not This was my second time giving The Local Social House a shot and it was just as disappointing as the first time. Salmon wasn t cooked (see photo), and the cheesecake was also not cooked (runny with a cottage cheese texture). Presentation for both, and all dishes I have seen, are absolutely beautiful but every time I dig into a meal it s either not cooked/prepared properly or it has little to no flavour. The chef comped both item which was appreciated.
My husband and I checked out this restaurant for date night. We started with fried dill pickles (fresh and tasty, although a bit too much breading for our preference). My husband ordered the Brisket Poutine and really enjoyed it. I ordered the Pickerel and it exceeded my expectations. For drinks, I was really excited to try the Stoney Lonesome cocktail because I really enjoy gin. Unfortunately it was just ok but not great. For $15, the signature cocktail needs to be great. My husband had two different beers and they were good. The decor is really modern and updated....but what is up with the deer heads on the wall? It was a bizarre mismatch to have a fancy cocktail menu and a deer head as decor. Most people who appreciate the hunting lodge look will not be interested in more upscale cuisine and $15 cocktails. The service was above average, very friendly staff and it was clear they supported each other well. One server dropped a dessert, and our server did not hesitate to help out to make sure the glass was cleaned up so the other server could get another dessert for the patron. We would definitely come back for another date night to try new dishes.
Very enjoyable, great food. Vegetarian options: A few options. Brussel sprouts were amazing. Food : 5/5 |
Ordered the fish cakes which were 95% Mashed potatoes. Not seasoned well either. They come with a salad that the menu does not indicate so my ordering of the $16 salad as well was unnecessary. Salad was very fresh and nicely dressed. Service was adequate. Would like to see a couple more lunch items on the menu. Ordering dinner items mid day is too much.
Good food, and great service from Shawn!
Service is good, atmosphere is really nice with running river in the background. If you are vegan though Id go somewhere else. They have 1 vegan main on the menu. A cauliflower dish. It was not tasty. Tasted liked steam cauliflower on basmati rice with a bit of spices. Would not recommend this dish and would go elsewhere if youre vegan.
Ive eaten here twice in 3 weeks and its pretty underwhelming. Great decor. Service is efficient enough, if not a little too casual for the price point and the look of the interior. Ive had the fish cakes, a green salad and the charcuterie board, which were disappointing. I dont believe Ill be returning. It feels like theyre trying to be a foodie spot, but its pub quality at best and other pubs do it simpler and better. The food looks impressive (except for the char board, which was unpleasant to see and eat), but falls flat on the palate.
Wonderful experience thanks to our server Shawn . Flavourful , freshly prepared food . Wonderful experience . Only feedback would be to include more vegetarian options so I am tempted to come back . Thank you Shawn for make it a delightful experience . Vegetarian options: Would like more vegetarian options . Thank you .
What a great experience and a pleasant surprise! Our server, Shawn, was so friendly and fun and attentive. There was a mix up with our food (we got another tables but they ordered the same order), our mains came before our app and I could see Shawn give a look like, this is NOT right and jumped on it immediately. The food itself was not only beautiful to look at but delicious as well. My wife tried a cocktail, the Kente Club, and really enjoyed it. We cant wait for the patio overlooking the river to open. Cant wait to go back. Parking: Parking is limited but there is parking close enough. There are other lots but nit sure you can park there
Overpriced but great food
This is a great spot . Food was excellent. Prices are actually low for the high end, delicious food . Recommend this 100% They are almost finished the new patio over the river. I cant wait to go back
Great location overlooking the river. Went on a Wednesday night at 7pm and all the tables were full with only 2 servers who did a fantastic job. My pasta with seafood had just a touch of heat, pasta cooked perfectly and had wonderful flavour from the fresh vegetables like fiddle heads. The steak was tough and overcooked. The fries were delicious. The bread came with butter so cold it was hard to spread, however it was very tasty. Noticed the cocktails looked interesting, maybe this is something to try next time. The beer and wine list was good. Parking: Parking was full, however restaurant patio was empty. Wonder where people will park if they get busier.
The place looks amazing. And the food presentation is top notch, it looks like something from the magazine until the first bite. Very bland and just not tasty. Really wanted to enjoy it, but had pasta, burger, wings and more and none of them were good.
The former Red Lion at 211 Coleman Street has been transformed into a lovely high-end pub with a massive deck overlooking the river. The deck opens this week! When we had lunch there today, I was surprised it wasnt overrun with people. The location is amazing, the food is great, and it is reasonably priced. They also have huge bar and serve a wide variety of craft beer, including many from the awesome Matron Brewery in Bloomfield. This is my new favourite restaurant! I should add that the ladies room is a 10/10 - the best by far Ive seen this side of the Ivy Lea Club - amazing! Vegetarian options: Veggie wraps were excellent! Parking: Lots of parking in the area.
Very happy with our first experience at the local ! Food was great and our server was great . Very enjoyable experience and can t wait to go back .
Food and service were exceptional. Highly recommended for a visit and definitely try their dishes. We had the chickpea fritters as an appetizer and two main dishes, with the Cauliflower Marsala and Ontario Pickerel. For desserts, Creme Brulee and the Chocolate fudge cake. The service was excellent. Thank you, Ryan, for your great service! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and Gluten free
The place to go in Belleville. Amazing food, atmosphere and service! Sean was our wonderful server along with all the other hard working staff that made it a great night out! Highly recommend for great cocktails, live music, patio and atmosphere!*****+stars
This was an amazing night filled with fabulous live music, romantic lighting, and great ambiance. You need to get here!
Awesome new patio on the water! The food is delicious!
The service was nice, the atmosphere average (no music) the food was one of the worst I tried in my life, but very expensive. Disappointed. Not going again. Food
The food is excellent, our server Shawn was amazing, best service I had in a long time
Great restaurant, the food was very good, our server Shawn was very attentive and made sure our dining experience was excellent!
I had the vegie wrap. Should have been warm but was cold. Other then that everything was great Vegetarian options: Chickpea fritters Vegie wrap
Great atmosphere with a patio that overlooks the Moira River. Cocktails and food were delicious with many LOCALly sourced ingredients.
Shawn was an amazing waiter! Very helpful, kind, and fun to talk to! The ambience was warm and inviting, and the food was amazing. Will definitely be going back!
Great night on their new deck. Food, drinks and entertainment were all excellent.
Food was delicious, atmosphere was great and our server Shaun was lovely, very attentive with a bubbly personality. The live music was great and the patio area is lovely too, overlooking the river. Overall we had a really good night out. Will definitely be going back again. Only downside was that we had to wait an hour for our food. But that didnt spoil our night as it was delicious when it arrived.
This restaurant is not gluten free. The menu says that many of their items are gluten free when in reality this is not a safe place for anyone with a gluten allergy or celiacs. The gluten free options on their menus should be strictly treated as a lifestyle choice. There is not separate areas for gluten free food preparation or cooking. Beware Celiacs! Dietary restrictions: Use extreme caution if you have any allergies. Staff need education surrounding allergies.
Great food and atmosphere. An unexpected gem on the water in Belleville. Great service from Shawn, our attentive waiter. Can t wait to come back when it s not raining to have a drink on the patio!
Been twice now! Love this new establishment! Excellent service, fun and friendly servers (thank you, Ryan). Great atmosphere, love the live music, especially on their stunning patio on the river. The chickpea fritters were really good! I also enjoyed the poutine (quite a large portion). Im looking forward to more evenings here exploring the menu further and checking out more of the live music. This feels like a great place for a celebration with a group of friends! Parking: Parking lot isnt huge (appears to fill quickly) but just across the river there is plenty of parking (take the pedestrian bridge across).
Great and friendly service with delicious food. The dishes presentation is astonishing. Perfect ambient to enjoy with friends and chat. Benedict eggs wonderfully well made.
For a first experience it was a bit ordinary. The food was very good. The service on the other hand was very long, a meal was forgotten in our group of 6. We then ordered dessert. You really dont have to be in a hurry, it took an extremely long time to receive the desserts and even the bill. So I dont really recommend this restaurant.
Tanner was our server. He was engaging, had a great sense of humour and we were well looked after. We appreciated his great customer service. The food was delish and we all had a great time.A very enjoyable evening on the patio.
Sean was the absolute best for our mini bachelorette get together. 10/10
Great find! Will definitely return. Fish tacos were awesome!
Nothing like a $16 Caesar which is 75% ice lol ! Can t complain about the menu and the food is quite good . Really nice patio as well but some prices are a bit unreasonable.
Beautiful patio on the water with live music. Great small menu. Good selection of draft and cocktails. Would recommend if in the area.
Wait staff were incredible all night. Packed place, busy, and theyre still smiling and doing amazing. Went with my sister and a family friend, food was incredible but. The manager? Casey, berated a waitor, Shawn, right in front of our table. Raised her voice, screaming at him, completely unacceptable. Made us so uncomfortable.
Great view of the river on the patio. The food was creative; I had a smear of herded goat cheese & edible flowers on my salad.
Fantastic new spot in Belleville. Patio has a great atmosphere and is dog friendly. Highly recommend.
K provided quick and Freindly service. Not rushed and with a smile. Great entertainment from the farside on the patio. Mussels and lobster rolls were delicious and great presentation. Hats off to kitchen and thanks K. Pura Vida
Food and server service was very good, however our party was kicked out for having too many glasses on the table and told we were over served . After speaking to the manager, who gave no information apart from those details, and after our server vouched for our group, we were completely cut off and had to ask what was happening before someone could explain. The manager was aggressively attacking her servers in front of everyone in the restaurant and it was incredibly unprofessional and she came across very rude. Reading other similar reviews, I know now this is a reoccurring situation. If ever you want to go into this establishment you better be sure to sit in silence and not have any fun or else you re cut off and treated with complete rudeness by management.
This is a great spot! If you have not yet checked it out, what are you waiting for! Nicely updated restaurant with a great patio on the river. Food and drinks are what you would expect.... great live entertainment, too!! We will be back. Food
The patio atmosphere was incredible. Leah and Jack were so accommodating and really hit it out of the park! Will be a new regular! And the oysters were fireeee!!!! Casey is incredible as well.
Great food. Great Service.
I reviewed this restaurant a couple of weeks ago and was not entirely satisfied. We returned for lunch, today, and had a completely different experience. The food was excellent and the service was great. The waiter was attentive and eager to please. We will definitely be back!
Just came back from dinner at the local social. Im sorry guys but I have to give you a 2. I ordered the double smashed burger and made the fries a poutine. Now I dont normally complain about food but I have to in this circumstance. The fries in the poutine where barely warm along with the gravy which should be hot to melt the cheese curds but wasnt. The curds where ice cold which made it worse. I did mention to our waitress and she brought back another with hotter gravy. Now the burger tasted very good but the buns where pretty soggy which made it difficult and messy to eat. I would have sent it back also but i was pretty hungry at the time. Im sorry for giving you a not so great rating but I feel that I had mention it. I would like to come back again but I will have to think about it. B
Was at this restaurant last night and had a very poor quality meal. Had to send half of the food back that was cold and also my highly touted smash burger was very greasy and the buns where soggy. Was not impressed. At no time did management come to find out why I had to send back some of my meal. I highly doubt that I will return here. I had other issues but will leave it at this. Some good restaurants live and die by reviews and I hope that this helps with future service. This could be a really great restaurant I think
Food and service are great. Except the live music is way too loud.
Went with family to hear a band we liked. Lovely patio on the water. Great service, did mainly appetizers and drinks. Oysters, charcuterie tray all were well presented and great. Will definitely return.
Good service by Tanner , good food , the tartare for a starter is really big& cut big but good. Good food The terrasse is awesome The place is new , good taste
Ordered apps which were great (oysters and tuna tartare, and went to order mains to be told kitchen was closed without warning, disappointing. Communication is key
Service and food were amazing. John Lebaron and Kyle Mitchell completely killed it. We couldn t leave until they were done on stage. Get them back ASAP!
As a starter we had a small charcuterie platter. Quite good. My wife took a red sangria, I tried it. I have to say it was pleasantly surprised with the mixology. Thus the price tag attached to it. Almost $20 bucks. I had the brisket poutine. Huge portion with a lot of meat, and squishy crude cheese. Only down side is the sauce is neither a brisket nor a poutine sauce, more like a quite sugary teriyaki. Just remember, we are in Belleville, not Montreal. My wife had the Ontario pickerel. She had one bit and left the rest. She said it had a « taste » she didn t like. I try it s. It s was bleak but not bad, but she has really good taste buds, so I trust her. The taste was what I would expect from a river fish. Just light seasoned with pepper and salt. I would recommend to request quarter of a fresh lemon and squeeze it on top to make it more enjoyable. I m would expect more from a $30 entree dish. We doggy bagged the poutine, not the fish. Expect a bill of $60 to $70 per person for a full meal with cocktails. The ambiance is nice. But I was sitting at a table where I couldn t enjoy the river view. Service is standard for post COVID era restaurant in southern Ontario. I would recommend that place to go on a sunny day for a charcuterie platter with cocktails on the River deck. Nothing else. Plus: has a nice dedicated parking
We waited 20 minutes until we had to go in and ask if they forgot about us just for someone to bring us water. Then a good 40 minutes after they took our food order, they came out to tell us that our food order just went in and it would still be a while. Food tasted good, but the service was terrible and so slow. I don t think we ll be back.
The patio is to die for, food is not bad.
My friends and I recently came here for a birthday party and the staff, food and atmosphere were AMAZING! The gentleman playing guitar was also just awesome! The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend!!
Excellent place to go in town. Smash Burger was really good, so was the McKinnon Bros on tap. Super service by Bartenders Keno n Tanner. Well done guys!!
I ve been here 4 times now and loved everything I ordered! Compliments to the chef! A great place to go in Belleville. Support them so they are here to stay!
Great food, beautiful patio, friendly service! Everything was delicious and the chocolate torte was simply divine. We ll be back again!
Good food. Great view
Enjoyed watching the River from the spacious patio. Staff was courteous and attentive. Great menu and meal.
Pleasantly surprised by this place. I m new in the area and walking into this place was like walking into a new city - the inside is beautiful and stylish, was a bit cold when we were there that we sat outside - outside is just as great! It s spacious, lots of seating, it was actually raining when we went but comfortable under the umbrella. They are kid friendly and offered us a high chair, milk or water and special cups for baby - we came prepared so didn t need any but nice to know it s available. The food was SO good. I had a smash burger and my mom had the special which was a chicken salad sandwich on sourdough which they loved and the fries SO good - they add rosemary to the fries which gives it that extra taste. Definitely recommend this hidden gem in Belleville and I will be returning! Oh and forgot to add - I took home fish tacos to my husband who had the same reaction- great tacos and fries!! Parking: Many spots right in front, east to park!
This place is a MUST! We were in last night with 10+ people and everyone had such an amazing experience. The staff were so accommodating of our large party and even made it possible to add more guest to an already packed dining room. Food and service was exceptional, the atmosphere was so inviting not to mention STUNNING! They also have a beautiful patio that we cant wait to come back and enjoy. (it was raining) Highly recommend making the stop. Its so nice to have something like this in town.
Very good food and atmosphere!
dog-friendly patio
Above average atmosphere. Great patio and service was spectacular, don t mind waiting if the kitchen is slammed. Both times in the establishment the food is taking very long. Very good experience with the food. The patio is amazing, they definitely need more umbrellas. We were there with a table of six and had no shade. The air-conditioning inside is unbearable. all of the guests at our table were freezing the whole time. Speed up the food and fix the air conditioning and you have a five star restaurant.. Bravo! Parking: Been twice. Once with reservations. Both times no parking available.
Don t come here if you re hungry, it took us over an hour to get our food. The food was okay but overpriced. The atmosphere is nice though and we enjoyed listening to the gentleman play guitar.
Nice riverfront restaurant in downtown Belleville. Beautiful patio overlooking the Moira River. Nice spot for drinks with a view. Parking lot is small so there might not be parking on busy nights . Went on a weekday lunch time and it was full so I can only imagine Friday evenings . Live music throughout the week . Staff were attentive and friendly. Typical pub /gastropub food , we had the chicken club and smash burger which were good. Definitely a great spot for big groups as there is plenty of seating on the patio .
Just a wonderful time, our table of 8 was so professionally served by Brittany, who in my opinion, went beyond all expectations, and made our experience a delight, and I m sure I speak for everyone in saying, we will return !! Thank you !!!
We sat for ten minutes with no service while other tables came in after us and got service right away. The prices are high for so little options. The hostess didnt even try to keep us there, she just held the door for us and said sorry about that.
Went for dinner with girlfriends and was pleasantly surprised by this little gem! Had the smash burger - delicious! Staff - every single staff member was very friendly, especially our server Tanner, who was fabulous! Will definitely be returning!
We had a great meal here over the long weekend. It was a relief we were able to bring our dog Winnie with us to the patio. The food was all delicious- the burger, lobster roll and my kids shared a poutine. Wine and beer paired well. Service was excellent. We tried to go the next day because we enjoyed it so much, but they had just closed. Hopefully we make it out there again.
Service seemed confused and we waited an hour to get our food. Apps and mains came all at once. However, when the food did arrive it was very good. Cocktails were flavourful and fresh. Parking: Small parking lot for the quantity of seats inside
This was a first visit for my wife and myself. It was after 2000hrs, so it wasnt super busy. Sat on the patio, it was a little dark for reading menus, but the wait staff brought a small table lamp. I found the patio tables a bit small for drinks and plates. We shared the brisket pouting, the fish tacos with side ceasar salad, and an order of Buffalo wings. The poutine was huge, a meal in itself. The fries were great, theres lots of super tender beef, squeaky local curds, and flavourful gravy. The wings were unbattered yet still crispy with really good Buffalo sauce flavor. The three cod tacos came on traditional tortillas, the batter was golden and crispy, not oily, and the fish was flakey and tender. The salsa was bright and fresh with very mild spice. We had it come with a side Ceasar instead of more fries. I usually find most restaurants over dress their salad; that wasnt an issue here. There was nothing on it. Not even a drop of olive oil. Its literally a little bowl of chopped Romain, bacon bits, finely grated parm, and some very hard croutons. For desert, we had the chocolate torte. This was an amazing little disk of dense, silky smooth flourless chocolate orgasm. Moisten with a passion fruit slurry on the plate, topped with a single raspberry and a smoked Tonka bean, for nutty vanilla spice bit of exotic flare. Your mouth will love it from the first bite and hate you as soon as the spoon stops coming. All of the staff members we had contact with were attentive and friendly, without always being at the table. The young lady who served us seemed to have a good knowledge of the menu and was able to make some recommendations since it was our first time there.
Took us 2 3/4 hours to get brunch on a Sunday from a very limited menu (most of the menu items were sold out by the time we got there, just before lunch) from order to table. Table staff dont know what theyre doing. The location was beautiful, it was the only reason we stayed.
Looks like the local needs to hire Ryan and Shawn back, since the reviews have been so bad about other staff.
**( Edit: last visit was disappointing.. food & service. Especially since we recommended it to so many people and brought friends. Went from all the stars to 3 at best. Before & after in the pics... ) **** Food was very good! Beet salad & Fish were fantastic! Everyone else enjoyed theirs as well. Beautiful renovation. Service was charming although obviously a little overwhelmed. Definitely understaffed! Overall a delightful evening! Looking forward to the patio!
We were a party of 6 for my mom s birthday last night. The view is quite lovely and the patio is a great addition. This was our second try of the restaurant after mediocre first tries which we figured were just working out the kinks of a new restaurant. That wasn t the case. Our server appeared to be new (which is fine and understandable), he wasn t sure of the alcohol selections or menu questions a few of us had. We ordered 3 appetizers: chicken wings, baked Brie and the falafel. The falafel was good but definitely not for sharing. The Brie was cold. Our server didn t bring over plates, we had to ask for them for the apps. For our mains 4 people got burgers - all of which were over cooked. The char on the burgers was really just burnt. I had the pickerel which had so many bones it was hard to eat, I don t think the fish had been cleaned properly. The random raw tomatoes on the side of the plate were strange and then 2 pieces of charred kale, and mostly just fennel. My dad had the pork chop which he just said was okay . Our server was so busy on the patio we had to ask multiple times for water, our appetizer plates were never cleared. Our server never asked us if we wanted dessert, tea or coffee so we asked for the bill as everything was so slow at that point we just wanted to leave our reservation was 6:15 and we didn t leave until 8:20 (without dessert). There were only two tables inside, everyone else was outside. I had told them when I made the reservation that it was my mom s birthday and it wasn t acknowledged. I m not sure if it was lack of training, that the restaurant was understaffed for the amount of reservations but we were all disappointed in the service and the food.
This past Friday night we had a table of 6, I was looking forward to good conversation, a few drinks and some food at a new local establishment. The atmosphere on the patio was wonderful. Our waiter, Colin, took our drink order and brought us water. We waited over 45 minutes for our drinks. We had to ask Colin where our drinks were and also had asked if we could have the outdoor heater turned on near our table. I noticed one of the co-owners turning on the outdoor heaters at a few spots on the patio, but no one turned on ours. After some time, another patron near us turned the heater on. When we received our drinks, we asked to give our food order. I asked Colin if the food was going to take as long as our drinks as we had somewhere else to be. He didnt really give much of an answer, a hopefully not. After waiting another 35 minutes for our food, which I might add was salads, bread, baked brie, a club sandwich and wings (nothing too time consuming for a kitchen) my friend and myself went in to speak with a manager. It was understood that there was a wedding party in another part of the establishment, however it was quiet inside. The manager apologized and said he would look into it. Having a wedding party in another part of the restaurant is not an excuse to ignore the other patrons of the establishment. Especially when other tables around us were getting their drinks and meals. Our food did come out very quickly after speaking with the manager. We were told that there would be a price adjustment. There was nothing done on our bills. Not once through this whole time waiting for our food did Colin or the manager ask if we would like a refill on our drinks. When we were inside talking to the manager, there were staff standing around and chatting at the bar. I think more training is required, organization and delegation to work as a team. The manager should be managing, not doing service unless required. I would imagine Friday and Saturday nights are the busier nights especially with the live music. I hope that things improve as it certainly was not a good first impression. Your website states Our service is attentive and unpretentious. The food and experience keeps guests coming back again and again. I would disagree with this statement after Friday nights experience. I hope in the future things will improve. I certainly do not want to see this establishment fail as having another location for live music in the area is wonderful.
Initial impressions were great, they were very friendly and accommodating when we asked to sit on the patio (which was beautiful). It was fancy enough to give us high expectations but still very welcoming and comfortable and the atmosphere was beyond expectations. The food was awesome, I got the shrimp scampi as an app and it was the best I ve ever had! Brittany, our server, was also great! She was super nice, and was very intuitive as to clocking in with us. One thing I really liked was that the day we went, their fall menu was brand new and they asked us for our opinions, even giving us a comment card after asking if we d like to leave any suggestions. I really appreciate them caring enough about our opinions to have custom printed cards just for that. Me and my boyfriend are thinking of potentially moving here, and this restaurant is a good selling point! Would super recommend.
The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was amazing, my only concern was our waitress. She was clearly not properly trained. She was slamming down everything, rushing around us (the restaurant was not busy), stretching across one of our plates (that one of our girls was still eating from) to get an empty glass. It really just ruined the environment. Just really seemed like she didn t want to be there. The worst was at the end though, we all paid, however some of us didn t tip on our debit as we left cash. When she looked at the receipt for my $66 meal she gave me the dirtiest look and practically dismissed me entirely. I actually had to go up to her and tell her I left her $20 on the table (I prefer to only leave cash tips) Then her mood instantly changed. I was so put off by this encounter. As someone who works in an industry for tips. I m so disgusted with her reaction. Not everyone needs to leave a tip, especially when the service was not good from the start.
One of the rare restaurants backing up overlooking the water. Great spot for drinks & dinner. They also have heaters to keep you cozy, but dont forget to bring a jacket during the colder weather!
Amazing service! Delicious food, beautiful atmosphere. Autumn drink menu is a delight all in itself. Absolutely will return.
Friendly staff, great patio, cold beer, good lookin gals. What more can yeah ask for?
Tip Davidv! ... hes AWESOME!!!
Food was absolutely delicious. Service was fantastic. Cocktails and wine were exceptional. Highly recommend you eat here.
This place is aamzzinnggggg. If you are really looking to hangout for like couple of hour, this place is the best. There is so delocious. And well presented. Their manager Kiersten is ssoooo energetic and enthisiatic in seving to people, her hospitality is like outstanding. MUST VISIT PLACE.
If need very nice, rich quality and tasty food in one place, this is the place. Thank you Kiersten you did a great service.
Went with my fellow Amazonians (Amazon co-workers) for a night out and had the best time. Our waitress (Kiersten) was quick to greet and welcome us with her amazing self. We showed up a bit late and the kitchen was closing soon, but she didn t rush us to order our food and gave us time to decide. The food was very good especially the nachos! The patio is stunning and has a good scenic view.
A gem! Wonderful staff, crafted drinks and good food, wonderful decor. Additional bonus - there was old Adams Family playing on tvs instead of sports.
Excellent service. Modern atmosphere. Super good food! Our favorite is the fall drinks!
We had dinner at the local tonight. Thank you Leah for the excellent service and attentiveness. All the girls were lovely. All our choices of food were excellent. From Ella May John Sue and Dan.
Way better than what was there before. Nice to see a bar that s got some class. Atmosphere and the staff were very nice and attentive. Drinks were great. Food was ok, I wish there were more options. I would go back again. I think it would be a great place to have a drink in the summer with their outdoor patio on the water.
The food, atmosphere and location are amazing!! I ve never had a better grill cheese! Cheese curd, pesto and bacon!! A must try! Our host Tanner was so attentive and the live music was such a vibe! You need to try this place!
The whole experience was amazing!
Incredible setting and atmosphere. Great food. Wonderful staff
Seemed to be out of everything on a Friday night
Dinner rush can get hectic on the best of days, sprinkle in a private function, the holiday season and an eclectic crowd the possibility for frustration can rear its ugly head. But the team who hosted 12/13/2023 were a bunch of beauties! Real good energy. If you ever get a chance, chat up the future Broadway star who was running Bar! Shell keep you topped up and able to appreciate the sound of music! Tanner is a true diplomate, kudos! David, this gentleman can read a room and has great intuition on who might need a hand! And the young lady running apps, graceful is an understatement. If anyone has ever carried a checuterie board around a function, you know. Great job, good energy, catch you on the next lap! Jimmy-
Fantastic food and service. Very happy to have this gem in Belleville.
only 2 stars for this review... i really want to support local restaurants and companies. Our meal was almost $200 for 4 of us and was sub-par at best. This was a far cry from the first time we ate here, which was great... this time, not good at all. Hamburger was burned to a crisp, we showed the waitress how burned it was. I ordered the steak which was raw, now i did ask for it rare, but not raw, another in our party ordered the stroggonov, i tasted it and it was under seasoned and bland, i am not 100% sure but pasta looked like from a bag. Ceasar salads were dry, no dressing and pure garlic, croutons were dry pieces of bread. Even the bread that comes at the beggining of the meal were pieces of toast with a little oil and balsamic. This is a far cry from the first time we ate here in the summer, they gave us fresh bread and garlic mixed butter, which was yummy ! For the steak i had, all i got was a plate with meat... nothing else ! really weird, no vegetables, no potatoes... nothing, it was confusing looking. All in all, for almost $200 bucks, it was very dissapointing and underwhelming. I write this not trying to smear the restaurant but maybe bring some feedback to the owner on our experiences. We would love to give this nice little place another try, but its expensive and really lacks flavour and seasoning.
