969 Rue Richelieu, Beloeil, Quebec J3G 4P8, Canada
Restaurant de type « Smokehouse » et grillades, longues cuissons, repas gastronomiques, ambiance feutrée, lounge a whisky a l’étage, salle privée pour groupes, menus personnalisés pour groupes. Choix incroyable de cocktails.
Wonderful food! I had the bavette, an espresso martini and some extra fries. Very crispy, yet chewy fries. The pepper sauce on the bavette was amazing. Service was excellent as well!
This place used to be such a good restaurant, but something happened in the last year or so, because it is not what it used to be. With a reservation in place, we came to the door and the hostess asked us to come back in 15 minutes as the table was not ready. We come back 15 minutes later, and the hostess asks us, again, if we had a reservation, then leaves to do something else. She comes back and asks us, as if she had never seen us before, if we had a reservation, and leaves again! She did that 3 times. It was like groundhog day! When we finally got our table, 30 minutes passed our reservation time, things started looking a bit brighter, but it was short live. Our starter arrived quickly as well as the kids meals and our first drinks. It was delicious, as you would expect for the price they charge. But then, we were forgotten, for more than an hour. They were too busy in the kitchen we were told when we finally got hold of the waiter. Or maybe too short-staffed for the number of people in the restaurant? Either way, this is bad management. The food was ok, but not as good as I would expect for the price they charge. Needless to say, the experience was not to be repeated.
Long wait and average meat. But nice view. We were there last year and had a great experience. So, to celebrate a special event we returned this year. The location and view on the water's edge were still special, but the dining experience left us disappointed. The starters and drinks came rather quickly and were tasty, but then started the wait. Personnel came and went asking if we wanted une autre bière but didn't seem to notice we had nothing to eat for almost an hour. Guests that came after us were already enjoying their mains so I started to ask. That reminder was needed and more than 1 hour after the starters, the mains finally came. Food was good but nothing fancy and some of the meat on our barbecue mix was only just passable. Not of the quality you would expect for this price (or anywhere, quite frankly). On the other hand, the salad and fries (from frozen) were nice, once they arrived. It was a nice place last year, but after this year's experience, we won't be back.
Four of us walked in on Saturday night at 6:30 and they seated us outside on the patio after asking if we were OK with being finished by eight. Of course we were! We had very delicious wine and beer and enjoyed the scenery along the river. I recommend the Risotto Vegeterien. My husband’s burger and fries were very good. And we were finished by 7:50! They were so nice and didn’t mind working with Americans who knew little French.
My wife and I visited this restaurant a couple of years ago and had a fantastic meal. I was excited to bring my father here for dinner and share the experience with him. Unfortunately it was not the same at all. Several of the items I was looking forward to were no longer on the menu. The items we ordered were not very good. The jerk chicken was not to my liking. The skin was fatty and not crisped or rendered at all. The meat was cold. The jerk sauce was unlike any I've had before and not in a good way. The beef rib was tough. The fries were not hot. The corn on the cob was not hot. Usually lamb chops are my favorite. I gave up on this one after one rubbery bite. We were told we could not choose the three sauces included in our platter and we would get the chef's choice. We did not care for them. The salad was fine. The sausages tasted good but only one of the three was served hot. The pork ribs were ok but nothing special. The bottle of wine we ordered was not the one we got. Some of the deck boards need replacing. Every time a server walked by my table the boards would bend and my chair would tip a little which was distracting. I had no issues with our server who was friendly, quick and understanding. I think my 3 star rating is generous and elevated by the good service and nice view of the river. I might come here again for a drink but I would never eat here again.
What a surprise to find such a good Texas/Southern-style BBQ (smoker) in Beloeil. Everything was perfect for the 4 of us tonight: top notch, efficient and friendly service, great atmosphere, and the food was delicious! If you're unsure, the spare ribs are to die for (big portion!) And an authentic Texas BBQ experience. I was worried about them spritzing it with espresso because I can't stand that flavor but I loved it! Even the dessert which a lot of similar places would usually skimp on were surprisingly good! I'll come back sooner than later!
What a great evening, food was amazingly tasty, we had the “Plateau du Cracheur” for 2 and we could not finish it, much leftovers to bring back home!!! We also hit the jackpot with live band, great Cuban music, it was Carlos Placeres and his band…. Also the owner was on site and really pleasant to talk with, great service from the staff and will be back again to taste more of their Smokehouse meats!!! Btw great selection of wine, beer and tiki style drinks
amazing food and amazing staff! dinner or drinks on the water makes the whole experience so special. great selection of local beer and a new gorgeous scotch & whiskey lounge!! also had the best tuna tartar! great place!
No consideration for food intolerances.... Disappointing service and dishes.
This restaurant is simply superb! The service and food quality are exceptional. The attention of the servers is remarkable, and the presence of Sue, the owner, who ensures that everything goes perfectly, makes all the difference. I highly recommend that you come and take a look, you will not be disappointed! Especially in summer with the magnificent terrace!!!
I went to Spitfire for the premiere because of a Christmas party. Fast food service and amazing service from Marie-Ange and Emma. A first time, but clearly not a last time for me!
Really a beautiful restaurant. We will definitely come back. The service was a little slow but considering it was a Saturday evening and it was full, it was ok. Lots of waitresses on the floor, we never lacked anything. Big plus for the salmon steak, one of the best I ve tasted! I am removing one star because my bib was not of very good quality. The meat was not tender and rolled around in my mouth. For the rest, everything was excellent!
Very good smoked meat restaurant. The view is superb!
Really very fast service. It was very good.
Excellent service with Marie-Ange and Anais. THANKS
Marie Ange and Anaïs are a perfect duo for the best service!!
Absolutely want us to order the food before even serving the aperitif. The meat (Bavette) was overcooked, wine ordered 20 minutes before the plate arrived 5 minutes after the plate. Restaurant half full so no excuses there. Disappointment because the place is very pretty.
We went to the restaurant me and my group for a marriage proposal and the accommodations/arrangements were perfect. From start to finish the service was personalized. I recommend it whether for a small dinner or for events.
Excellent service, impeccable! Particularly loved the music (Erika Badu) perfect for eating and all with a warm atmosphere in a very beautiful place by the water! Fine class
Thank you for this experience Marie-Ange See you soon kitty lol xxxxx
Beautiful atmosphere and more than perfect service with Marie-Ange who is always on the lookout for customer needs! Nothing negative to say about this restaurant! Impeccable and surprising suggestions on cocktails!!
At the Fire Eater, on the terrace in summer, Marie-Ange, waitress, knew how to amaze us. With impeccable service, always a smile, She makes every moment a real pleasure. The view is sublime, there is no denying it, The dishes and drinks are a pure delight to savor. Marie-Ange, you are the icing on the cake, Thanks to you, this restaurant has become our El Dorado!
Definitely a lack of cooking experience. Super nice presentation of the plates but mediocre food for the price. (Cooking, taste and seasoning). Unfortunately enough not to go back there again. Very nice terrace
Beautiful place, beautiful view of Saint-Hylaire and the Richelieu River, delicious food and the best service. At any table you choose there is a perfect view, there is a very varied menu, delicious dishes to share and highly recommended desserts.
A superb little hidden gem, with a magnificent terrace, this restaurant serves refined and tasty dishes.
Waiting more than 1h for food
Group of 4 between Boys. We had a very nice evening. THANKS.
We decided to dine at Le Cracheur de Feu in order to enjoy the terrace before it closed. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the service received during our visit... First of all, when we arrived, 3 hostesses walked past us without ever welcoming us. After about ten minutes, in the entrance, we were able to sit at a table (the restaurant was not at all busy). We ordered the pulled pork burger as well as a salmon tartare. Receiving the food took 1h20!!! The couple in front of us, similar situation, however they decided to leave after waiting over an hour. Again, the restaurant was not busy. On the positive side, the selection of beer and wine is super good and the salmon tartare is excellent, but thats it. For us it was the first and last time, unfortunately.
What a beautiful warm place, Without reservation on a Saturday 5:00 p.m., We were well received. We entered inside but as soon as a table on the terrace became available, the staff continued our service outside. Everyone participates in the service. The view of Mont St-Hialire is just wow. Entrance : Charcuterie and cheese board And tartare duo. Main course: Beef flank steak Pulled pork burger Drink Apple sour Lady in Blue Served by Andrew and Kiana. Thanks to the whole team. For our first visit we were really pampered. Dare, try, discover!
Delicious and exceptional service from the lovely Eider. Dream terrace on the banks of the Richelieu River.
Excessively long service.. the food I expected better.. 3h15 for the 3 services.. the exorbitant price for the waiting time and the quality of the food I do not recommend very bad experience! We had to wait 1 hour between each meal to be served. We received our desserts at 9:30 p.m. when we arrived at 6 p.m. an excessive wait which is not worth the detour as the meals are too spicy for some and also lack of choice.. I do not recommend for a group of more than 4 people! In addition to the fact that it is not a good restaurant, two couples of friends as well as my son were sick last night with food indigestion.. I REALLY do not recommend this restaurant
Bad value for money in addition to poor service..
Very ordinary! Long and uncourteous service!!!
A thunderous atmosphere. Rock music womens show for a cause. Varied menu and good service. Breathtaking view.
I go to this restaurant often and everything is impeccable in every way. Breathtaking service and meal!! Try the forest risotto!! Heaven!!!! Dont miss the chance to try it!! It happened a few times that the service was long but unfortunately for them the employees were not there!!
Super nice terrace with a view of Mont Saint-Hilaire. Good atmosphere with a music band!
Anaïs is a superb waitress, smiling and attentive to the needs of customers, I recommend you!
Excellent service Kyana is an exceptional waitress and the atmosphere is extraordinary
Great location, super summery atmosphere and our waitress Kyana is really friendly. I recommend!
Beautiful atmosphere, the smell of food is unbearable, it just makes you want to eat the whole menu. Kyana our waitress is great
Good food thank you Kyana
Superb outdoor terrace, quality service, courteous staff, even options for children.
Magnificent view, careful decoration which prolongs the holiday feeling. Very good cuisine, simple but very well executed, very generous plate. We had pulled pork burger and charcuterie platter. A small downside on the platter, lack of variety in cold meats and cheese but very generous platter. Careful service. Well done, we recommend this restaurant.
Magnificent view of the river. Incredibly good food and impeccable service from the waitress Kyana. Thank you very much for your advice on the Kyana menu

Thank you very much for the exceptional service from Anais and the culinary experience to discover
Another memorable evening at the magnificent fire-eater restaurant, with its bucolic landscape! We arrive by boat, we climb the steps to access the most charming and intimate terrace of Vieux Beloeil there is. Souhila welcomes us so warmly that we immediately feel at home. While waiting for our table, she takes the time, despite the busy terrace, to ensure our comfort with a good glass of wine. (We didnt have a reservation) The atmosphere is relaxed, the music is pleasant and it is now Marie-Ange s turn to offer us her most beautiful smile and her most attentive service. Delicious chorizo flambéed with whiskey and what about the delectable Apple and Maple Brie Puff Pastry that melts in the mouth , I recommend it! Everything about this menu is tempting! I cant wait to go back However, I will not fail to make a quick visit to the restaurant L Orléanaise, a French bistronomy, which piques my curiosity, also located in Vieux Beloeil.
Beautiful atmosphere amazing service, i absolutley LOVED this place and Kyana was so gracious and kind with my absolute lack of the French language
Thank you Kyana for the beautiful evening!

Thanks to the beautiful Kyana who served us. a very nice experience, very kind. Just wow
Kyana, impeccable service!!! Vegetarian options: Entrance, meal
We were a group celebrating a birthday. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Some of our favorite dishes that we expected to find on the menu were no longer there. The food was okay, nothing more, and for most guests the dishes arrived barely lukewarm or cold. We were seated in a dark corner, without atmosphere, and one of our guests was sitting with a dilapidated mosquito net at her side, which hung crookedly from a window behind her. We were all surprised that butchery charges were added to our bills, for what was ultimately a very expensive meal to forget.
Really less good since our last time (for 2 years). The food is not worth the high prices. The waitress didnt know the menu, the atmosphere was average, which is a shame because the view is very beautiful. We wouldnt go back.
It was our first visit, we stopped by by chance and we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful atmosphere of the terrace near the water. Our waitress Gabrielle was really smiling and friendly. We had a great time. We will meet again!
Super fine Marie-Ange!
Amazing service and great menu. Cocktails were very good and the view of the river from the Terrasse made it the perfect getaway!
Marie Angel!
The essential dish, really good, thank you very much!
My angel
Its time for you to change.
Excellent service, the essential plate is to be taken literally, it was delicious
Exquisite food and impeccable service. A big thank you to Marie-Snge who served us.
Thank you Marie-Ange for the service and welcome!!!
Update: Thank you for your response. I have favorably corrected my notes a little based on your comments. Opinion: Everything is very expensive here. The atmosphere and decor are superb. BUT... We only had dessert because we were there for the end of the evening and to participate in a Musikelles concert. Bravo for this initiative. For dessert: a crème brûlée flavored with Baileys, ridiculously small for its price of $14.4, good but was served cold. The herbal tea was served in a tiny cup, so we asked for more hot water... The tiny teapot brought arrived half full Surprise, on the bill, 2 loaded herbal teas (so they wanted to sell us hot water... Because we only took one bag of herbal tea). We refused and the bill was redone. This is the first time Ive ever been charged for hot water!!!
Came eaten without reservation, small error on our part. But we had a waiting terrace and in the end a nice evening without a meal but a pleasure, only negative comment Im still looking for
Disappointing experience. We arrived and had to wait 20 minutes for a table to become available, despite our reservation. When we got our table and were seated (group of 4), we ordered drinks and food. It took 45 minutes before we got our starters and more than two hours for our main course... The waitress did not come to see us again in the meantime to offer us another drink. The bill was steep for the experience. I do not recommend
For a $300 bill, no service, two bottles of wine for $75 each two hours to be served. The manager does not consider it important to come see us when we have a complaint. Not a single refill of water for 2 hours. No ketchups for childrens burgers, already 30 minutes after receiving childrens meals. No service, I dont recommend at all. And here is the photo of my childrens disappointing burger
Bad service. You had to get up and go near the kitchen to ask for service. We waited almost 2 hours before receiving our meals. The childrens meals were served after ours. Very disappointing. The manager didnt even take the time to come see us when we asked to meet her. She sent us 2 servers. Seriously... very disappointing! We will never go back and never recommend this restaurant!
Very bad experience, 2 hour wait for the meal, ordinary food. No compensation for the inconvenience, we saw several people leave before having the meal because it took too long. We will never return to this restaurant. Too expensive for what you get. Very bad manager.
Great place! Very delicious, thank you very much Martine for your good service!
A 2 hour wait to be served, a waitress who dropped a cocktail on us without any compensation, quite disappointed.
Everything is excellent, food service and atmosphere. We had a wonderful evening on your magnificent terrace.
The food was really not up to par, pork burger and tartare! My friend was sick I never comment but this time I cant help it, really disappointed! Paying $130 for 2 meals of poor taste! The terrace is superb though!
The service from the waitresses was impeccable but after waiting for more than an hour and several people who arrived after us received their meals we left.
Probably I had too high an expectation from your restaurant but we were unfortunately disappointed with the service (reservation at 7:00 p.m. and received our plates an hour and a half later as well as our entrees separately at an interval of 35 minutes... and plates correct without more... fortunately Catherine (the singer) was there to entertain the place a little it would be preferable if you lack staff to reduce the available places in order to offer a customer experience worthy of a bill at $200.00
Super good experience, group of 4 on the waters edge, the place is magnificent! The food was always excellent, we were even treated to a singing show! The service always perfect, thank you again Camille for your service! (And the glass of milk!)
Excellent food however the portion of the plate to share was disappointing and we had to wait a very long time for a table for 3 people despite our reservation. However, we were treated to an aperitif offered by the house in a comfortable waiting area, which we liked. Very nice terrace.
As for the welcome, a lot of staff at the entrance but no one comes to see you to tell you to be patient, so when this is your first time, its not like we who choose our table or the staff, the reception is important and for this place, there is improvement to be made. beautiful place with very, very good food, however the places are very limited and you have to know the place to get good places otherwise the staff will decide for you.
Unfortunately the change of management has greatly affected the quality of the menu and especially the dishes! The menu is no longer what it used to be, and especially the taste. Frozen type fries, very bad salmon tartare, reduced quantity, really not worth the prices! Unfortunately I wont be returning, it was a restaurant that I loved but they seem to have greatly reduced the quality of the food! It s beyond disappointing! The service was excellent, the only positive point.
Probably the most beautiful terrace in the region, with breathtaking views of the Richelieu and Mont-Saint-Hilaire. The BBQ plate is really excellent and the owner is very attentive to customers, with the constant desire to always want to offer the best to her customers. A place to discover.
The Fire Eater is no longer what it used to be. Change of owner, staff as if we were in a beautiful regional province and its no longer a smoke house but an OVER PRICE restaurant with very ordinary food.
Good experience, good food. Best smoked chicken Ive ever tasted. On the other hand, we had to return a childs plate of hamburger. The meat was burnt. Too bad a chef left this plate in the kitchen. Not strong on this one. At $20 a plate, a meatball between two buns, without condiments (really nothing), burnt. Not strong. If at least there would have been compensation, nothing.... So my 7 year old child watched his family eat while he finished his fries.
Good food Nice atmosphere Beautiful view of the Richelieu. Camille gave us impeccable service.
Short rib is a must! Beautiful terrasse. Great service.
The food was impeccable as was the service! Very nice concept too. We will definitely come back! Special thanks to our waitress Eider!
First time writing a Google review because I literally had the worst service. We receive our meals after more than 2 hours of waiting, 3 tables around us who arrived AFTER we took our order receive their orders and pay their bills before we even receive our main course. Finally the waitress comes to see us and tells us that the meals are ordered and not to worry so we call the manager to notify her, the waitress barely came to see us again afterwards. Honestly, we arrived by boat and a band was blocking access; thats the only reason we didnt get up to leave this restaurant. We had advised when booking that we were arriving by boat and were told there was absolutely no problem; When we got there we had to persist with the band and the waitresses to find a solution to be able to pass. If you dont have enough employees to run the place, reduce your amount of customers. This is unacceptable for a restaurant that charges us the full price for the quality of the food. I will never return to your house to eat your overcooked salmon and your beet salad that has nothing in it and only tastes like vinegar. The place seems to be popular only for its waterfront location and its terrace; otherwise I dont see any other reason.
When we entered we were amazed to see how good the dishes looked!! The hostess offered us a table inside since there was a guest for people on the terrace. We asked that if ever a place outside becomes available that we can take it. She confirmed to us that if that happened we would have a place. Of course that never happened. (On the other hand, she seemed very proud to tell the customers who arrived after us that she forced people to leave so that they could have access to the outside) We ordered a drink, it took a while to arrive then we ordered food. There were 4 of us, 2 of whom had starters and 4 of whom had main courses. After more than 2 hours of waiting we finally received our entries. So there are two people who are not eating. Quite ordinary! When ordering we were never warned of a prolonged wait or any problem. If this would have been said and as customers we would have been respected that would be different, but we are in ignorance of the long delays and no good service. It doesnt work. The waitress very rarely came to see us during the entire service. Once asked us if we wanted something else to drink, then ordered starters and meals, if not, nothing more! We had to approach her or someone else to answer our questions or get a few things. Even then it seemed hard to answer the questions! Between starters and main courses, a young man brought us bread, without telling us there was a long waiting time or anything. We asked him if it was going to be a long time before we received the dishes and he didnt know anything or even the reason why we were being offered bread. The food was good, unfortunately it was not possible to enjoy it after all the waiting. The crackers for the tartares were overcooked and tasted much worse. Strangely the fries looked a lot like frozen fries. I find the service we have unfortunate, because its as if the waitress we have doesnt care about us. Cold, distant and haughty! We were extremely disappointed with the way customers were treated. During busy periods or events, I do not recommend. We got the answer at the end that it was due to someone being absent during the evening. It still remains very basic the fact that they offer 4 very thin slices of bread to keep 4 people waiting for an extraordinary wait of more than 2 hours!!
An ideal location on the edge of the Richelieu! A very warm welcome and very good service! Hearty and tasty dishes: an excellent chorizo-crusted salmon, a delicious blue flank steak with fries, a refreshing sunny salad!!! A big thank you to Souhila and Isa, and also to the super chef and his cooks! A must-see restaurant in Beloeil! Marc and Sylvie
The service is one of the best Ive had. Thank you to this young woman for her patience. The terrace is very beautiful. The cuisine is correct but not extraordinary.
Seriously nothing positive to say about our experience. Terrible cooking and service.
I had great service with Camille! And the food is very good. We taste freshly made cuisine
Everything was perfect. Cocktails, grills, salads and especially the service from the beautiful Camille. A friendly and warm atmosphere. Go for it, you wont regret.
Its my first time at this restaurant and Gabrielle is the best waitress Ive had in my life. I hope you will be served by this magnificent person. You will be in heaven with it, plus the towels are soft!!!!!!
Varied menu, nice selection of alcohol, fantastic terrace.
Great terrace, great atmosphere and great service, a big thank you to Camille for her impeccable service and patience and thank you to the whole team.
Worst service as a customer. The waitresses are not up to par, the customer experience is not there either. With this kind of price that can be found in Montreal, the service should be similar too, which is in no way the case. Rather noisy, average atmosphere. On the other hand, the food is very good, which is the only positive point of this restaurant. For the service, they never brought knives for the steak, they took more than 20 minutes before coming to speak to us. The bottle of wine took over 45mins to arrive, he said we had to go get it from another restaurant. The waitress broke the cork on our bottle of wine which was worth $100+, and still served us the wine. She also decided to bring back a small piece of the broken cork to smell it. The tables are rather small and no one cleared our table between services so it was a headache when the new dishes arrived. Very disappointed with this restaurant which has a view and a kitchen to succeed, but a service to close.
By far my favorite terrace. The welcome and service is always warm. The team really cares about their customers. Excellent cuisine, a great atmosphere and an exceptional view, you will definitely have a pleasant time.
Very good restaurant. We had a really good time.
Beautiful terrace, no waiting during the day during the week, A1 service.
Magnificent view and flat
Hey boy, The Fire Eater unpleasant experience! We showed up at 5:50 p.m. Sunday without an appointment, we were asked if we could take a seat but we had to leave by 7:00 p.m. because there were reservations, no problem! We choose the paella at $82 for two people! We receive our dish at 6:30 p.m., the dish is disgusting, no flesh in the mussels, the 3 shrimps were burnt, the rice was in stuck/stiff bread, I asked the neighbor who ordered the same dish and the same comments, he is disappointed! I express my dissatisfaction to the waitress and the manager, I explain the problem and ask the so-called manager for a discount at 6:50 p.m. she says ok, I receive the bill for $76 so I have a big 6 dollar discount Pffffff, big joke nothing to do, I told her to give me a real discount worthy of a professional and responsible restaurant, she was as closed as the mussels they served me! She tells me she can replace the molds for other molds, did I say for the same molds? the neighbor had the same thing as me, filament mussels without flesh. So too late, the waitress left with the dish we have to leave at 7:00 p.m. because you put us out to leave room to discuss at the start, I retort too late Budy, there is already someone else at our place, therefore incapable of taking responsibility for this semi-manager . I do not recommend the paella in this restaurant in any way, I was royally cheated! Finished this restaurant for me!!! My girlfriend finally paid for everything, because I would have stubbornly persisted
My favorite restaurant in Beloeil. I had the paella to share with my partner, excellent!
1st time Wooooooooow a real great discovery, we will come back for sure!!!!! Thank you Souhila, Robin and Marie-Ange!!! Everything is a delight and it was incredible. We will come back On July 6 I went back and it was even more delicious. Photos added Thanks once again to Souhila and his team. A big hello to Robin and Marie-Ange who I didn t see this time.
Very disappointing experience, even pitiful when you consider the exorbitant price for the quality. Im a big fan of BBQ and I would say the choices are very limited for a restaurant that references Franklins in Austin and Biceps in Quebec. A pulled pork burger, a beef short rib and pork ribs are essentially the choices that could be described as classic found in smokehouse type restaurants. The service was adequate. However, there were some frustrations. The waitress added grenadine to my boys orange juice without asking him first. For my part, a half-serving Coke Zero, filled with ice, at full price. My partner received a cocktail which was essentially cocktail ice cream. The beef short rib that came with grilled vegetables, I asked for fries. I did not request a substitution. The vegetables are taken away, a salad is added (which I did not ask for) and the fries are charged even though the vegetables have not been served. On the menu side, be careful, the ingredients are not all written. For example, the pulled pork burger contains a tomato and a mayonnaise bath, making the brioche bun moist. Its a strange combination for this type of sandwich, as if the person in charge of the recipes has never really been to a US-style BBQ restaurant. As for the quality of the meal, I have few positives to name. The short rib was overcooked and dry. The sauce was much too salty even though it is a meat whose salt should mainly come from the rub. The salad was cheap, iceberg lettuce with red edges because it was oxidized. Either it was left on the counter or it wasnt fresh. One of the pulled pork burgers had the top slice of the tomato, the part where the stem is located and is essentially just the peel. Usually, restaurants never serve this part of the tomato, its honestly shameful. I give 2/5 rather than 1/5, because the view is superb and the staff is kind, even if they allow themselves to change the order in part.
10 out of 10 would recommend
Great service from Camille
Great evening with friends for a great friends party! with a superb view of the Richelieu, Camille service par excellence
Camille great service, beautiful personality, a pleasure to be served by her! THANKS
Camille is very professional and super nice, her wine suggestion was great, 10/10, thank you
Not worth the price. It was ok and disappointing without more...we dont think well go back.
Bad experience, my menu choices were not available. Long service and no response to our expectations. For making us feel like unimportant customers, I give them a not very sparkling star.
Worst service I have ever had in my life, from booking to billing. The owner had nothing on the menu. There were five of us and she even told us to leave because there was no food. After waiting an hour and a half. For nothing. To respond to your comment: The bullchit proof lol, it wasnt even us, but the young people who were at the table in the back. They heard when you said a customer forgot it. As for meals, out of 5 people, 4 did not have their choice of food, not just tartare. You could ask us who took the bottle instead of accusing us according to your cameras!!! And for the reimbursement as you said I left your daughter $60 tip just for a Caesar salad because she wasnt paying for your stupidity.. accused at whatever time you want but if you had seen the video as mentioned you will see that it was not us false accusation 2
I went to eat the service was good until the table next to us had taken a bottle of wine and the staff had accused other customers of stealing I find it sad for them because young people are priced for a bottle and that it is adults who are being accused For the owners I give a 0/10 because me and my wife found it boring even after telling our waitress that it wasnt who we took the bottle of wine.. but the young people who were there had that. ruining our evening lack of judgment on their part
The place is magnificent but everything is pre-fabricated on the menu I have an intolerance to onions and shallots and I had to change my meal choice 3 times before being told that it was ok. Very disappointing for a place like this. Dietary restrictions: They are not at all flexible
$36 for a plate of tartare with lots of salmon skin, irregular cut with large pieces, all served with iceberg lettuce. Disappointment. The owners have changed and unfortunately the quality has declined and the prices increased.
We really like the cuisine of this restaurant but did not appreciate the way we were received this Sunday evening. After assuring us at 6 p.m. on the phone that we could come at 8 p.m. without reservation, we waited and drove 30 minutes only to be told in an unfriendly manner that there was no room. At a time when it is becoming difficult to find an open restaurant, we would have preferred and completely understood if we were simply told that it was not possible or that it was at our own risk.
Very disappointed in general... Several items on the menu not available... Cooking of the flank steak (request medium and everything in the middle was raw)
Very disappointed with the attitude of management. The waiters did what they could with the means they had but everyone around them was not there to help them. The food didnt taste like BBQ and wasnt at all interesting. I dont recommend it at all. I could say a lot but its not worth it.
Certainly the worst experience in Beloeil, ladies and gentlemen, RUN AWAY Arrogant manager, hygiene leaves something to be desired (you can also read in the previous comments the number of food poisonings in this restaurant..) Very poor food for a price which doesnt hold up The only positive thing: The view
Cuisine: Were still waiting for the Buffalo and peach chutney to return, if it ever comes back. What a loss on the menu. I went to this restaurant for this dish precisely. I also tried the Brisket burger which in my opinion was more than excellent before. A good piece of tasty brisket that was falling apart. What happened to the brisket seigneur?? The meatball was rather compressed, bland and had a burnt taste. What a disappointment! It appeared to be a frozen dumpling. On the other hand, we tasted the essential (plate for 2) containing short ribs, chorizo, jerk chicken, ribs accompanied by 3 sauces, super crispy fries and a salad. My favorite on the menu: the short ribs. It s super tender and the sauce is excellent. The risotto and beef shoulder on the lunch menu are great choices too. Service: Where has the best waiter gone? Where is Matthew? What about the next generation who doesnt know the details of the menu but also the beer and wines. I expect to receive exceptional service at this level. I want to be able to know the ingredients that are in the dish I am going to order. I want someone to advise me on the wines that will go with the chosen dish. I want people to be able to tell me how bitter one beer is to another. Most new waiters/waitresses are young and inexperienced. I understand that they are doing their best and that they must learn. Too bad to lose so much expertise. Ambiance: The terrace is spacious and the mountain view is breathtaking. On the other hand, the choice of music is quite ordinary and there was even no music. Despite everything, I would like to thank the new waitress Gabrielle that we had another day, who was kind, efficient and smiling, as well as the new waiter Samuel who saved the service.
Incredible view and courteous service. On the other hand, no steak knife with the plate of meats, the packet of ketchup garnished directly on the table, the mediocre bottle of wine and above all the more than ordinary, even bad food, its hard to want to go back. Its very amateurish. Out of 3 servers, none knew what dessert was included in the childs meal, that sums it up well.
Excellent service from the Magnificent Marie-Ange, I highly recommend this restaurant to all my friends and loved ones!
We discovered Le Cracheur de Feu last night, what a great experience! The guys had the ribs and flank steak with pepper sauce, and the girls, the salmon tartare, everyone enjoyed it. Impeccable service, warm atmosphere, everything was there for a successful meal with friends! I have a special mention for Camille who took care of us: you have a certain talent for this beautiful profession, your smile and your good humor charmed us! Keep up your good momentum and dont doubt your qualities, you have everything you need to succeed. A big thank you from four delighted customers. Annick and Cédric, Alison and Jay
Thank you Anais for this good service! lol it was delicious!
Wow! I will come back with my children, very nice atmosphere and good service! The curry sauce was excellent, I enjoyed it.
This evening I felt greedy! I had the beef caviard and it was delicious! THANKS
The atmosphere was incredible! Anaïs, Camille, Marie-Ange were excellent waitresses. The detour is worth it!!
This was our first experience at this restaurant. We had reservations on the terrace. Reception: The person made us repeat the name of our reservation 3 times, she still couldnt find it until a customer who was next to her told her: look, their name is there while pointing the computer. The location of our table was great! Service: Our waitress was very courteous and kind but she lacks experience. No suggestions, no explanation of the menu. She forgot to order our first starter of the charcuterie platter, forgot to bring hot sauce for our oysters (it seems to me that it must come with it, right?). We ordered a double espresso along with the bill. She comes back to see us afterwards to see if we would like coffee....? Um... I had to ask for the invoice 2 other times. In short, nice but not a saleswoman and a lot of oversights. Another waitress and a suiter came to see us. Everyone was very nice and courteous. Meal: Charcuterie platter --> delicious, with the little WOW onion compote. With house salad. Apple and cheese brie puff pastry --> a real joke. Its a soggy house salad with a too-thin brie crouton that can be eaten in 2 bites. It should be mentioned on the menu that it is a salad as a starter. We mentioned this to our waitress as constructive criticism, her response: when asked, I explain it...uh...huh? Oysters --> Good with mignonette but no strong base sauce, you have to ask. Beef tartare --> Correct but nothing more, lack of seasonings. The fries are good, a little breaded we like :) Of course with an incredible quantity of house salad. BBQ plate --> Correct but not at this price ($45) Lots of bones for the quantity of meat served. More house salad. In short, lots and lots of salad this evening! Atmosphere: The terrace is superb, the view of the water is really pretty and pleasant. Good standard patio furniture. No music during our visit, this was lacking in our opinion. In short, we would have expected a little more for the $250+ with tip that it cost us.
Pleasant place to share a meal with friends with a superb view of the Richelieu.....
Some friends and I went to this restaurant recently. It was our first visit. We loved the service, which was attentive and friendly. Its been a while since weve had such service. There were good food choices, generous portions and inspiring decor on the terrace. The restaurant and terrace were accessible for wheelchairs. The staff gave us a good helping hand to facilitate access. I dont know if the bathroom was accessible, though.
An employee eating her lunch in the dining room alongside us while listening to these YouTube videos. I had to ask the waitress to intervene... Charred burger bun, stale celery, music unnecessarily too loud when there were 5 of us in the dining room. No commercial gesture to apologize would be what the coffee offered. Perhaps the youth of the team in the kitchen as well as in the dining room reflects this lack of professionalism.
Very poor relationship with management as a supplier.
The menu is very limited. One or two well picked items would make a huge difference. Fish...poultry Vegetarian options: No options, except salad and crudités. Parking: Small lot on site - free
Beautiful atmosphere, excellent food and really friendly staff. I had a great time, I recommend! Special mention to the flambéed chorizo sausage!! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian burger
Excellent food and our server Mathieu was exceptional. Best 5 star service
Poor service. We went in a group of 4, it took more than 20-25 minutes to have our first drink and for that we had to signal to the waiter again, very simple bottled beers, nothing complicated to prepare. The plates arrived in a reasonable time. The presentation was ok but the taste was good but nothing more, nothing to wow there, the salmon was a little overcooked. Again, we were entitled to plates of salads and fries (the Costco type, which I love so, its not a problem) the waiter brought us a plate of each for 2 people and said Ill be back with the others and never brought them to us. For dessert, the creme brulee was served cold and was of tiny thickness. At least the puding chomeur was very good, but hey, its hard to miss a pudding chomeur. At least it was served hot. Its a shame, because the waiter seemed friendly but completely overwhelmed even though the terrace was not full at all. The view from the terrace is superb, but at almost $100 per person, there are much better options. Edit: the person in my group who had the buffalo plate got food poisoning and spent the night from Friday to Saturday sick as a dog. Go somewhere else. Parking: A few places at the back, otherwise you have to fall back on the municipal ones which will all be taken if the weather is nice
Great food and exceptional service from Marie Ange..beautiful gift of life for my partners birthday dinner Thank you, we will come back with pleasure I recommend it to you
2 very disappointing experience! More than ordinary service! Much too expensive for what we had on the plate Too bad because the terrace is magical
So to start we were served at the same time the drink and the food the beef and salmon tartare was not seasoned we took the beef and we asked for the sauce but the sauce was already open and used Parking: There is free parking for the stores but it is really too small so we had to leave the car very far from the restaurant so these
Unfortunately, I have to revise my previous glowing review and state that while this used to be our favorite local place, we have been a few times since the new owners took over, and we will not be back. The food was disappointing, the bread was stale, the drinks were watered down, and a woman I assume is the manager or owner has spent our entire meal sitting at the table near us, complaining loudly about clients and the business. The only bright spot of the meal was our waiter, friendly and professional as ever, but it will be the last time we come here. Also, being petty and combative with all the customers who had an unsatisfactory experience at your restaurant is not the best use of your time.
It was our first experience at Le Cheatur de feu, we loved it!! We were well received, the waitress was attentive in bringing us our cocktails quickly and a second basket of bread while we waited for our meal. His service was excellent! The cocktails were delicious (old fashioned smoked and Le bouquet). To really discover the menu we shared the essential platter which was simply delicious, the short rib WOW . We will definitely return there to discover new dishes.
I expected much better, we walked in and some person in front of us walked past us without even saying good evening. When we were finally assigned a table, we sat down and had to wait 10 minutes just to get a menu (there were two of us, we had 1 menu).... We ordered our starters and our drinks (if Im not mistaken the drinks often arrive before the starters) we had almost finished our starters but we still didnt have our drinks... And we still waited more than 25 minutes to have our main course, placed on the table without any explanation on what made up the dish, we had to ask several times for water to be served...and the waitress asked me why out of two $95 bills I only gave $15.95 tip. .. Sorry but that was what it was worth and I am someone who usually does very well (I say that I say nothing) Update; That doesnt prevent her from having the audacity to ask me why I gave such a small tip in front of other customers; she could have been more subtle and the dishes were bland and tasteless...
The cuisine is excellent and very generous. We had the opportunity to chat with chef Sophie who is passionate about cooking. Our server Nicolas gave us a wonderful moment full of attention and humor. Thanks to the Fire Eater team!
Trust Google reviews! The overcooked duck drumsticks were coated with rib sauce, impossible to taste the duck. Our ribs and shank dish were really overcooked and dry. The portions of meat were excessive. The mashed potatoes were cold and the fries tasted like frozen fries. The wine was very good and the service was really excellent, we were taken care of. Despite everything, we will not return there. $180 for 2 people, it wasnt worth it.
Disappointed with the food and so were all the guests in our group. Very expensive for the mini portions. Exceptional service though.
Best salmon tartar I have ever had , lovely staff, clean and nice cozy ambiance
Simply superb in every way. Its also very clean.
Unfortunately the meat was our point of disappointment. The burger brisket was not tender and lacked flavor. Otherwise good drink, good dessert, great service, nice place.
Excellent food, impeccable service. To revisit without hesitation. Really nice experience.
Very good duck breast and excellent service. Very small cheesecake at $15; ridiculous!
Very good service for both the bar and dinner. I ate well with a portion which is correct.
The service is excellent (really) and friendly. It took a long time for the food to arrive (1 hour and a half). And this is not the first time this has happened to us. The atmosphere was pleasant despite the karaoke on the 2nd floor which was so loud that we sometimes had difficulty hearing each other speak. But what s really disappointing is the FOOD and ultimately it s for the taste experience that we go to the restaurant. We ordered the platter ($94 for at least two people) because we liked it so much last time. But it all seemed the result of inexperienced work. Palette meat that tastes exactly like home. Not great ribs. Dry and tasteless pork slices. A sausage full of cartilage granules. A pile of slightly wilted salad that didnt provide any freshness. In addition, everything was lukewarm or cold. We didnt say anything because we were too hungry. It lacked touches of acidity and freshness (and even crisp freshness) to counterbalance the intense fat of the meat and even quite simply the fact that it is a very meaty dish. We are fans of this type of dish and it takes elements to balance the taste experience. It would have taken sauces such as spicy jelly or mint, etc. And pickles or a fresher salad (perhaps with pomegranate apple for the tangy touch and pop of color) and even crunchy to balance it all out. The fries were obviously frozen fries, served with mayonnaise straight from the jar (a small little jar). It would have added a finishing touch to serve a variation such as a mayo-sirasha which would once again cut the fat. Whether its the fries, the pork, the sausage... It gives the impression that its store bought and that theres not much homemade about it. Even the desserts were mediocre and either from the store or made a while ago. For the meat platter, it was better last summer in the choice of meats, the spices, and even the accompaniments (even if it still lacked a little touch of acidity). This type of dish should be a signature dish. There should be more thought, more finesse and more know-how in its composition. Pay a real chef, even if just as a consultant, to come and adjust the offering, the balance of flavors, the quality of the products, etc. Wouldnt do any harm. And training for cooks. The finesse in the cuts (roughly cutting mushrooms in half in a dish affects the taste experience). And if you re offering a dish that says seafood don t just put shrimp. Otherwise change your menu and call it shrimp . Its sad because the location is great. The service was great. But that doesnt make me want to come back.
