The portion of the main course (2 small turkey steaks) was very, very manageable and carelessly packed onto the plate - acceptable as a childrens portion - but price fully grown. The rhubarb spritzer cost an impressive 6.70 for 0.45 liters, which you had to mix yourself... The only bright spot was the nice, humorous waiter. The steakhouse was packed - unfortunately for no reason for practical reasons, as the portion was mini but the price was max. You couldnt get enough without dessert. This saves a lot on quantity! The optics also left a lot to be desired. Too bad. Mallet method! I hope other guests also get together to criticize this poor price-performance ratio.

Had dinner there yesterday, it was very tasty, the burgers are different than normal and highly recommended, prices are okay. Service was very attentive, we only waited 10 minutes without a reservation on Saturday evening and we got a seat, great.

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is no longer right. Today we found the note at the table where Mr. Eugen Block personally explains why and how we have to struggle with price increases etc. etc. You don t want to increase prices. Nevertheless, you feel forced to offer the steaks smaller. The Mr. Rumpsteak now became a smaller piece of meat at the old price. It should have 230g. I highly doubted that. It now looks as if the old Mrs. Rumpsteak is now selling as Mr. Rumpsteak. Thats just not enough for me for 28 euros. The steak is too small for me personally. Ill test it again. Maybe I was just unlucky today, but if it is served that way again on the next visit then the Block House chain has lost a loyal customer who has been a monthly guest for over 20 years.

Im really disappointed!!! We had reserved a table for yesterday (11/10/24) for my birthday. Neither a reserved sign nor a flower or candle was on the table. Mind you, the others all had a flower on them. The big hit was the managing person! We werent greeted or greeted either!! At some point he walked past us and just casually asked are you okay? I didnt know that we knew each other and that we were on a first-name basis. I was really shocked when he spoke very derogatorily about another guest in the kitchen. A no go!!!

Part 2... Unfortunately, there is no other way for me to respond to your answer, so Ill do it again this way. Maybe it would be better to rename your burger, I think every guest has a solid idea of what they can expect for 17. Good meat (yes, it was good), good bun so you can eat the burger by hand, some kind of sauce/dressing, enough tomato and onion salad (anything fresh?). Burger, otherwise just another name that the already stressed waitress doesnt have to explain... And it wasnt just the burgers, my colleagues werent happy either! Nonetheless, great for the team The ambience hasnt changed for the worse, after all... A regular guest before the change in ownership, I was back at the Blockhouse after a long time (because I hadnt heard anything good) and I was also extremely disappointed! A burger without a bun, instead a soupy square of log house bread as a base, which unfortunately was no longer tasty in terms of consistency. Only topped with part of a leaf of lettuce and a slice of cheese, no dressing, nothing. And because there is no lid on the patty, in the Blockhouse you eat the burger with a knife and fork The French fries served with it were cheap standard and there was a good teaspoonful of the advertised cole slaw. It was sufficient, it was tasteless anyway. The main courses of my companions were so small that they then ate my fries and the bread that had been left behind and wanted to get something to eat on the way home. And yes, it was surprisingly full in the restaurant and the employees really gave their all, but our waitress had a very rude tone towards us and was inappropriately loud towards other guests, hence only two stars! And no, we wont be coming back!

Our favorite restaurant! Highly recommended! Staff very friendly and the food was delicious! Kid-friendliness: The children receive something to paint and a small present to say goodbye.

Steakhouse with consistent quality

Great service, she has 100 points!! Steaks from rump steak to fillet are unfortunately tough as a shoe sole, prices are no longer worth the food. Block House on Kudamm is 1000 times better!

The onion soup was way too salty, the bowl salad (too much sauce) had more calories than a portion of fries...

Expensive, queue in front of the entrance, supposedly due to a cash register problem, it was raining outside.

Very friendly service. Food great. Had to close early due to illness. But all guests were still warmly welcomed and no one was disappointed. Gladly again on the next visit to Berlin.

The taste is debatable, but today there is no room for it because it was very tasty from start to finish, simply tasty and incredibly good. The waiter was not only friendly, he was attentive, he also paid full attention to our youngest at the table, thank you for that. The kitchen is simply good, especially the cooking levels are perfect. Yes we will come again.

Everything here is just right, from the food to the service! We always find staff in a good mood. Class! The food is simply in a different (upper) league. Come here and try it. If you like steak, it doesnt get any better than this. This taste and quality of the meat. I dont know any better.

I had a unique taste experience here, regarding the entire food, but especially the meat. The service was very nice and gave good advice regarding the desired degree of doneness of the meat. The restaurant looks very cozy thanks to the dark wood and the seating areas. One of the few places in Berlin that has so far survived the restructuring of Berlin at every turn. Vegetarian options: For example, salads are available. But the focus is on meat. Parking: If youre lucky, you can park right in front of the door. Kid-friendliness: Childrens card and small gift for children at the end. Wheelchair accessibility: Access possible without steps.

Super tasty meal, fantastic steak

Had lunch here today and as a woman who really doesnt eat much, I have to say: the portion was really small. I had the turkey steaks with potato gratin. Two mini steaks came with a super small dollop of potato gratin and another piece of garlic bread. Before that I had a small salad. After I paid EUR 30 (including a drink), I left the restaurant hungry. The taste was absolutely okay, but clearly not enough for lunch. For a man, this portion would probably have been a starter at best. It was also quite cold in the restaurant. You can already tell that savings are being made everywhere. The interior is also clearly showing its age, old furniture, stained carpet. Was the last visit for me. There are much better steakhouses.

If you like good food, especially steaks, this is the place for you. At Block House you just know what youre getting. Nevertheless, I would like comments that are meant to be nice to be taken seriously. I had a very tender carpaccio with a handful of roughly chopped celery on it...that didnt suit me. The waitress comment was just that it said on the menu that I could have canceled it...you dont really feel like youre being taken seriously. We would still like to come back

Hello! Simply a very good block house, as it has been for years! Service is good and as always the Rib Eye Mastercut 330 gr, of excellent quality! In any case, this block house is one of the much better houses! Thats why I recommend it again like I did a few years ago!

The three of us came here for the first time. Great service, clean & cozy atmosphere and well-kept sanitary facilities. Our saddle of lamb & filet mignon grilled to perfection, tasty herb butter/sour cream, baked potatoes, deliciously seasoned leaf spinach. Will definitely recommend you. Glad you exist and stay healthy

We had a cozy evening with the offer from BLOCK HOUSE that we were very familiar with. From the whole family, we would like to highlight Lucys incredibly courteous service. Such a great service person!!

Will definitely come back but it needs more tidying up and repairs. The tables are too close to each other. Staff very nice and friendly except for one thing.

If I just order a beer here, of course Ill get it, but of course theyd also be happy to serve me food. And food is quite expensive here.

Its an okay steakhouse. It is said to be a large chain in Germany and the meat is packaged and sold separately. Its good value for money, so its good for filling up without worrying about it.

Its just an average steakhouse with an average selection. If youre looking for really high-quality meat, youve come to the wrong place. However, its definitely enough for a rump steak or tenderloin. Unfortunately, the cooking level ordered is not always achieved optimally. Otherwise, the service is always polite and quick.

We have eaten here several times over the years. Since I come from Zehlendorf, I know the Blockhouse Zehlendorf S-Bahn station from the start. We were always very satisfied.

Before we go to the Wühlmäuse: always a visit to the BLOCK HOUSE!! The food is very tasty, the service is attentive and competent. I had a fitness pan yesterday and was thrilled. Many thanks to the chef and the colleagues in the house. Will be back on August 22, 2024. Until then....

Unfortunately, 1 star deduction because it is not clear in the drinks menu which water is served and it was not mentioned when ordering.

The service staff was super friendly and attentive. The food was good, but perhaps a bit carelessly prepared. The food was served so quickly that there was less than 5 minutes between the starter and the main course... I can understand that you want to have a quick run-through so that you can reassign the table, but it all happened a little too quickly.

I went out to dinner with my family on my birthday. Pure disappointment, ordered 4 rib eye steaks (medium and medium rare), received them well done 3 times and medium sized once. :( You pay 45 per person for such a bad meal. My birthday was over and Im NEVER going to any block house AGAIN. I can do something like that 10 times better at home. THANKS FOR NOTHING.

We celebrated a birthday. Im still blown away by the great service. The table was decorated with beacons, there was birthday champagne, a photo and a small gift. And of course the food is fantastic.

I went there for lunch with my partner. Service was quick, but there werent many guests there, which is why thats only of limited significance. The food was very solid for a steakhouse and a gluten-free menu was also provided for my partner.

I give it a complete 5 stars. The food was top, as was the service. The service has been absolutely first class in all the branches Ive been to. Same here. With the current staff shortage, Block House is apparently lucky or pays particularly well, so they can choose their people. You never have to wait long for anything. The staff seems to see if you want something else. I have rarely experienced it so extremely well. I also liked the atmosphere, I sat outside. At first I was very skeptical because the traffic at Theodor Heuss Platz is not exactly light, but the lush planting means you are very well shielded and you hardly notice the traffic. I will definitely stay loyal to Block House!

We had dinner here on Wednesday. The carpaccio wasnt really my cup of tea (dill has quite a taste of its own, you might point out)...but the service made up for it all! The ladies were quick, courteous and friendly! 10 points for us :) thank you very much for the nice hospitality :)

Absolutely amazing restaurant! We had dinner here and it was packed. Despite the stress, the service staff was super nice and accommodating. The food and drinks came quickly and the quality was excellent. A reservation is recommended. I find the card to be completely sufficient. There are no 55 dishes and 20 starters here. There is a good selection with something for everyone. In order to guarantee quality to this extent, a small card is also needed.

(4/5) We stayed at the Blockhaus on Theodor-Heuss-Platz and overall had a good experience. I would particularly like to highlight the super nice waitress, Petra Krießl, who enriched our evening with her friendly and attentive manner. The meat was of good quality and well prepared. However, I unfortunately have to say that the log cabin is no longer quite what it once was. The sauces have tasted different for several years and the sour cream sauce no longer has the usual taste. Apart from these small defects, everything else was fine. It would be nice if the log house could work on these points to get back to the old standard.

We still had an appetite for meat in the evening. So we went to the BLOCK HOUSE. Since it was already later, our weight was no longer there and we had to take a heavier one, that can happen. Steak was served medium as ordered, but the quality of the meat was much better!!! Had a lot of tendons. The potato wasnt really hot either... Was a little disappointing this time

Unfortunately I cant say anything about the food. Nine of us just got there, but the waitress refused to put together empty tables for us. Sales were waived here out of convenience. A nightmare for every guest and every employer!

Nine of us were turned away because it was too convenient to push two large tables together. Just embarrassing...

Apparently its too much effort for the staff to put two tables together to accommodate more than 4 people. Better go somewhere else.

Here I pay the utmost respect to the cuisine and the service! Rump steak English, served on a hot plate! Very strong! Plus great sauce on the baked potato and delicious garlic bread as well as a fresh side salad. Also very nice service and good location in the center.
