We arrived here on August 31st just before noon. They are supposedly open at 12 p.m. We waited a while wondering if they were going to open since there was not a soul on-site then called the number. A girl picked up and said that they are inside Caddy Shack (the mini putt part of the location) and are waiting to see if the Caddy Shack will be open as the cash register for the pizza is done there. After some time, they were good to open but now they were having issues starting the fire in the wood pizza oven. We waited & we waited. I even went up a couple of times to get an update. At around 1 p.m. (ONE HOUR after they are supposed to open), I noticed that they started taking orders from other people that just arrived. Our group has been there since the beginning & they didn't bother to give us the courtesy to come up to us or shout to us that they can take orders now. They just started taking everyone else's orders. We were the first onsite well before anyone else. When I went up to tell them this, the girl just said "Well, it will still only take 10 minutes." No apology or anything!!! Unbelievable but to be expected I guess since it's 3 high school girls working there. Pizza was delicious though expensive ($27 for a pizza with 3 toppings) but service was horrendous! Very very very rude with no accountability. We will never come here again & only ordered pizza because we were in a rush and was never given a definite answer to their "situations."
We called the mini putt place next door to figure out if we could do a pick up order. We were told “it’s walkin only and that they close at 7pm so hurry in. “. We did just that. We arrived at 6:05 and were told they were closed and took their last order at 6pm. I would love to give this business a 5 star review but the opportunity was just not present. I am sure the food is decent or better. I hope we comeback to Sandbanks in the future to give this place another shot. Show up earlier than one hour before close - lesson learned.
My fav! And it gets better every year with new pizzas and new additions! If you like a thin crust, wood oven pizza with good quality toppings then this place is for you. I’ve tried wood oven pizzas all over the county and this is my go-to. Try the kimchi pizza. It’s cool that they added some extra stuff to the menu this year but they’re still missing a dip for the pizza crust.
What a great place to visit for the family and get some amazing pizza. This isn't your standard pizza joint where there is more dough than toppings. i.e. domino's, etc. This is a great thin crust Napoleon style pizza cooked in the heat of burning trees! What more can you ask for? Well one could ask for a mini putt course..... well guess what? They have that too! Go there, you won't be disappointed.... well unless you want the standard commercial pizza like Domino's.... in that case.... go to Domino's and fill up on a tasteless mound of dough.
Absolutely loved the stone-baked pizza here! The crust was perfectly crispy, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The ambiance is cozy, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. It's the perfect spot for a delicious meal near Sandbanks. Highly recommend to all pizza lovers!
Delicious and convenient pizza located at the entry to Sandbanks provincial park. It isn't walkable once you're in the park but this is a must visit! Authentic wood fired pizza was ready quickly. The checkout stand is inside with plenty of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.
This place was great. The pizzas were light and crisp, but the crust had a good chew. We had three pizzas for four adults and two kids. I can’t say we were stuffed, but we were satisfied. The open space let the kids run around but I’m sure during busier times the lot would be too full for this. The mini golf area also looked fun but we didn’t play.
Very nice and family oriented place. They have a mini golf to play while waiting for the food to get ready. The kids will not get bored, only 5$ for kids. The pizza was very tasty and we even got an extra pizza because the first one came with a hole in the crust. They have vegetarian options for the pizza and lots of free parking. Every Thursday night there is also live music.

Great place to grab a bite to eat! Pizza was yummy, service was great and friendly. Kids had a blast mini golfing while the pizzas cooked.
Arrived at 11:40, talked to a kitchen worker there, was told they don t open till noon for food. Waited the 20 minutes to order to be told that fryers won t be on for a while. Unknown time due to the manager not being around. Mini putt looked nice. Service poor. Wouldn t have waited for you to tell me half your menu isn t available.
We decided to try the Americana pizza and the Margherita pizza. While the place and workers were awesome. The pricing, was unfortunately not worth the quality.
Google says open 10-10 every day, voice mail says the same thing but they are closed. Very disappointed.
This pizza is the real deal. Cooked in a wood burning oven in minutes and tastes delicious. We especially loved the Calabrese. Food

Holiday atmosphere.
Bulgogi pizza was delicious! The fresh mozzarella cheese is to die for! You can even pick some fresh basil to put on your pizza if you like! Highly recommended.
Pizza is what you would expect from a wood-fired pizza place. Pretty good but youre paying $25 for a $12 pizza. Very nice staff. Could probably add another oven and hire more staff, when theyre busy wait times can be 30mins. Nice area for kids.
Service and food was excellent. I also enjoyed live music and mini golf. Garden was beautiful and clean. The owner and staffs are very friendly and kind. I appreciate it all.
It is not only a great pizza place but a perfect place for everyone. We ve been there 3 times while we were staying and really enjoyed! I am definitely coming back!

Delicious! The ratio of dough to sauce to cheese was lovely and the pizza was cooked perfectly. It only took about 10 minutes for the actual pizza to cook.
Dont miss this place, especially if you are visiting sandbank. Nice mini golf. Awesome pizza. What else do you need?

Drove to this spot for wood-fire pizza and beer so my dog could join us as well. The pizza was very good! Someone mentioned the price was high, but you pay for good food and everyone has to make money. They had mini golf and a spot to get ice cream as well. Lots of parking. The pizza master was super nice. Suggested spots to see and drive to for the day. I would definitely drive back. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pizza, Margarita pizza
Greate pizzas and very friendly service!
Decided to try this place for a good pizza but I could have bought a better pizza at the grocery store. The crust was so thin, the pizza had little to no taste and each slice only had 1-2 pieces of chicken. All around bland and I thought maybe it would compare to 555 brewing co but save your drive out and go to 555 for the BEST wood fire pizza. Also more expensive than 555 and it doesn t even compare.
Stopped by here with some friends while visiting the county this weekend and wow, this place did not disappoint! Pizza was thin but crisp and absolutely delicious - honestly some of pizza weve had outside of Italy. If youre in the area, be sure to check it out.
Up In Smoke Pizza Co. is THE place to go for authentic thin crust wood-fired pizza this side of Italy! I have visited 3 times over the past few weeks, and each time it was incredible! They clearly take pride in what they do, and use the freshest local ingredients from Prince Edward County. Thin crust is their specialty... Peter and his team are serving up the best pizza around! 5 stars!!!
The pizza is amazing. Bacon and caramelized onion with herb oil was incredible. Live music was a bonus and the service was exceptional. Definitely a must stop when you are at sandbanks or in the area.

Delicious pizza with fresh ingredients! The thin crust is amazing. Its part of the Caddy Shack and seems to be a family business. Lots of parking. I was happy to support these good people. Definitely recommend the pizza! Seating is great too and in the shade.
