257 Bloomfield Main St, Bloomfield, ON K0K 1G0, Canada
Neighbourhood Spot. Dine in restaurant, take home meals, wine, beer, cocktails, in-house butchery, cheese and charcuterie, soups, salads, coffee
Amazing food, great vibe, friendly service. Great spot to hit up if you’re in PEC. Make a reservation before going, the place is rather small and fills up really fast. Lastly, the sourdough bread and the whipped butter is a must!!!
Our sever Laura was excellent and gave us community recommendations as well for our weekend getaway. Food was tasty and it was a very romantic atmosphere. I hope to recreate their endive salad asap.
Good dinner for family of four. 13 year old said it is a favourite. Smelt and razor clams were loved. 11 year old would not share the charbroiled octopus. Chocolate mousse was a hit, the salty peanut crunch balances out the sweetness and adds great texture. A little pricey for casual family dinner, portions are smaller, but thoroughly enjoyed. Plan to come back.
We went to Prince Edward County for a 3-day vacation on August 2023. Whenever you go on a trip, there's usually one meal that stands out as perfect - where the service, atmosphere, company, and, of course, the food all come together just right. Well, this was THAT meal for us. We really loved the delicious salads made with local ingredients and the incredibly tasty dishes. Don't miss out on trying the sourdough bread with salmon gravlax, it's a must! Oh, and a little tip: their coffee (espressos, cappuccinos) is also really great!
Hands down, the best restaurant I’ve been to in the county. The space is really neat, open and airy. The food is absolutely phenomenal! We had the freshest sourdough here. I got the charred octopus + patatas bravas and it was so well balanced. The potatoes were crispy, the octopus perfectly cooked and the accompaniments perfect. I would highly recommend stopping by for dinner if you’re in the area.
Great food, cool space and friendly people! Glad we made it here as our last stop in the county. So many interesting food on menu (daily specials on the board) and it was nice to see the chef work the open kitchen. Definitely recommend.
Wow. I'd heard about those place, but they exceeded my expectations. Lovely homey atmosphere, with mismatched antique plates and specials hand written on the chalkboard. Excellent service, attentive but not overly so. The menu is outstanding and lots of choice. We shared the oysters, which came with a delicious wine and shallot sauce. I ordered the charred octopus, the entire dish was well thought out and perfectly executed. The octopus was expertly charred and tender. I also tried my partner's venison dish. Fall apart, tender. They carry an extensive local wine and beer selection. I had an excellent cappuccino. Wonderful atmosphere and great food. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the ingredients. Parking right next door. I will definitely be back.
Comfy rustic Lunch place. Met my son for lunch and we enjoyed the squash, fried brussels and roasted scallops and a nicely brewed espresso. For take-out we bought daily soup and their home-made hummus which both of them were delicious the next day. Will definitely come back
New restaurant in town. Another upscale entry into the Bloomfield restaurant scene. Very knowledgeable staff. Eat at the bar and watch the chefs at work. Food is creative and interesting. So sad to see it go.
Ok- this is a great little market with a fantastic selection. Service is always pretty friendly. The 3 stars? Wouldn t call this a negative review but rather necessary feedback. Went for the Fried chicken- and yes, it was very good. However, as someone who lives in downtown Toronto and has eaten in his fair share of restaurants throughout this city- where there s a current explosion of fried chicken spots- your price point here borders on obscene...The chicken was delicious - but $35 for 4 pieces with coleslaw and pickles is bonkers. By comparison- Stockyards- who easily has some of the best Fried chicken in Toronto is $20 for 4 pcs w/Fries and coleslaw. Sorry guys, 2 drums and 2 thighs with coleslaw and pickled cukes for $35 plus tax and tip?? $10/pc?!Lol! Wish you the best and I ll likely be back for things in the market- but the fried bird thing- is difficult to swallow (pardon the pun) I have no problem paying a bit more for things- but this is just unreasonable by any measure.
Ok the best shucked oysters we have ever had from the BC shores to Ontario! The shucker went above and beyond for the perfect shucked oysters. Not a shell but a perfect bite in every one. The service was also friendly, helpful and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone ! Great experience.
Absolutely the best food I have eaten in PEC. We had all the specials and they were all devine.
Lovely creative lunch on a chilly winter afternoon; excellent accommodation of disabled member of our party - accessible washroom, easy access tables etc. Welcoming staff, great local beverages.
I wasnt pleased with everything. They should try to eat the food themselves in case it is tough or difficult to eat.
Great food!! You must stop here and try the menu. Definitely will go back. Keep up the good work chef
Super chill, super delicious, amazing local ingredients and wines. Loved the dinner there, cant wait to be back in the summer for patio season.
We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here on Saturday evening and I have to say from the moment we walked in we were greeted by the most friendliest people. I made a note on the reservation that it was our anniversary and they brought us 2 glasses of champagne. It was very sweet of them. They really went above and beyond. The chef was amazing, very friendly and we sat at the bar (very cozy and we actually got to watch them prepare the food) The chef engaged in conversation with us and it was a wonderful experience. The food was amazing, we had the flat iron steak with grilled salad that was out of this world delicious. My husband had the periwinkles and Argentinian Shrimp. We had an amazing time, if you are in the area please visit this little gem, you wont be disappointed. Thank you for making our evening a special one to remember!!
I made a reservation for a group of 12 to have dinner at the Bloomfield Public House. They were very accommodating and responsive when making the reservation. However, when we arrived to the restaurant, we must have been in too good of a mood because immediately upon entering, the waitress greeted us by lecturing us that this is a dining experience and telling us to tone it down (we were not being obnoxious by any means). I m not sure if by dining experience she meant minimal ambiance and overcooked gnocchi, but that s what we got. If you are considering a reservation for a large group, I would take your business elsewhere, unless you like being patronized immediately upon entering a restaurant where you intend to spend hard-earned money.
Ive found a lot of restaurants food quality has really deteriorated over the years in PEC. Not so with Bloomfield. This place has by far the best quality food compared to their more famous peers. Id venture to say that it has the best food in PEC. The menu is small so they can focus on the quality of their food. They are innovative with their cooking, with some exceptional flavour additions to basic (yet incredibly delicious) dishes. The food is reasonably priced for the quality. Everything is homemade from scratch. Delicious and healthy. Coffee is fantastic and the service is great as well. Excellent Hosts. Definitely will be back next time Im in PEC.
Always good. Fun. Friendly
This was the perfect place to stop between brunch and dinner for something to snack on. My friend and I shared a dozen beautiful oysters and a charcuterie and cheese plate. Oh and some caesars. Everything was quick and fresh and delicious. My friend was very happy when our server offered some extra crackers with the charcuterie. The vibe was very nice, bright and spacious and everyone working was super kind. Definitely a place you must stop when you re visiting the area.
A little overrated
Such great food and friendly staff. Fun feel right on Main Street in Bloomfield!
Im sure the food is great, but unfortunately Ill never know thanks to the unwelcoming, rude owner/manager Laura Borutski. Ive actually never written a review like this, but thats because Ive never been treated in such a manner, by a restaurant owner or any other business owner for that matter. I reached out trying to book for a group of 14. I was told they dont host groups of this size, but I really wanted to dine here with my family, and decided wed be okay if we were split up...I was able to book online reservations for two groups of 6 and a table of 2, and she immediately TEXTED me to call her, and followed up with an email requesting I call her, and letting me know she already told me she doesnt accept groups of this size...I did call her right away, with the intention of explaining we were okay being separated, but she instantly had her back up, was rude and dismissive, and her bad attitude was quite frankly just really shocking and disappointing...she sounds bitter about the two bachelorette parties that have been in over the last couple of weekends and took over her restaurant. I guess she thought we would do the same...How dare we book 3 of her 10 tables! If the reservations are available online, why am I not allowed to book them? Whos to say were not 3 separate groups? Once I asked that, she asked what we were celebrating, but it was a little too far gone at that point to try to work something out...I dont want to support a business who treats their paying customers this way, so I said I was no longer interested to which she replied sarcastically, Grrrrrreat, THANK you SO much Tara and hung up the phone...how unprofessional!?!? Yuck. Im not difficult by any means, in fact Im very easy going and non-confrontational, but Ive never had an encounter like this, ever. Im in the area often, with groups small and large, but I wont be supporting this restaurant unfortunately. Restaurants are supposed to be warm & welcoming, and bring people together over great food...there are sooo many other great spots in the county that do this wonderfully, so Ill be going there instead. Really disappointing.
Very rude staff
Deeeeeeelicious food. Friendly staff. Fantastic atmosphere, both inside the restaurant and on the patio. Highly recommend.
Snack olives, fries, burrata, terrine, cocktails, and exceptional service for humans and pups.
Yum, yum, yum! We snagged a table a half hour before closing and gobbled up some pretty fantastic eats. Bright, fresh, local...it was all the things. We soaked up the laid back but lovely decor, the pleasant and genuine service, the food....just perfect. My smoked pork ravioli came with seasonal asparagus and a delicate sauce. I enjoyed every bite. All my dinner companions had the same experience with their meals. If youre in the area, go!
What a dinner! Creative, different, certainly something for every palette. Love that you can pickup local wines, beers, ciders and cheese. Our choices... beef tongue with capers and the Barratt as appetisers. Octopus and the smoked pork ravioli as mains. Of course the chocolate mousse with pb crunch to finish off a wonderful meal.
A foodie stop anytime of the day! farm to table menu is fresh and savoury! Dessert and coffee is a must to complete your dinner!
Used to be a micro market / grocery / cafe but now is a restaurant! (Well staff mentioned it was originally a restaurant then had to pivot because of covid/lockdown). I came for the coffee but was surprised to know it was operating as a restaurant now (June 2023). Had some small dishes and was delicious!
Very tasty. Love the smoky bird and the lavender gin fiss. And of course the oyster, which is so fresh and awesome!
Very slow paced environment. Every dish had a unique and sometimes unwelcome twist to it.
Absolutely delicious fresh unpretentious food. Best meal in PEC. Service fantastic (thank you Hannah) and great bar conversation with Chef Elliot. Thank you for a memorable experience.
Fantastic service, food felt intentional and fresh. Would definitely return Also, the herbed butter & sourdough was to die for - wish I could bring that home with me
My wife and I had lunch here on a sunny afternoon in the County. We kinda stumbled on the restaurant as it was a market in the past. We didn t have an expectations but the food and service was amazing. I had the mussels and my wife had the clams which were a special. Both dishes were outstanding with lots of fresh herbs and interesting ingredients. The flavours were amazing and you can tell they were created by a team that know what they are doing. Also a big shout out for the bread and fresh herb butter. I highly recommend you try this place out if you find yourself in PEC. Prices were very reasonable for the quality.
Oysters and sourdough were incredible Parking: Free parking lot next door Food : 4/5 |
Fast and friendly service, exquisite food!! It was perfect after a day at the beach!
The food here was absolutely amazing. We had the shrimp toast, salmon gravlax, and the mussels. Everything was absolutely phenomenal. Every bite was a burst of flavour! The only thing was some of the other customers at the time we were dining were extremely loud and they were sitting across the room from us. As well, the floors were quite dirty under the benches where we were sitting. But the food i d say is 5 stars.
Very nice restaurant, the dishes were excellent. Took very fresh scallop ceviche and Burrata as a starter and as a main course shared the grilled octopus which was perfect and the steak and fries cooked perfectly too. Nice place. But it was quite expensive and closed at 9 p.m. Ive had better burrata, this one was more lumpy than creamy. But overall it was very nice and good. I am left with excellent memories.
Walked into here with my daughter and they would not acknowledge my existence. Served other people before me. I walked out. No one even looked at us. I ve been before and it was great. What a joke.
The restaurant with its high ceiling and large windows looks cool. For me, both dishes I tried were salty as a meal and more like dishes for drinking.
Went one rainy afternoon with family for drinks and snacks. Beer and olives were good but the service was slow and we felt like we were disturbing the staff by being there. Napkins never came despite asking. The staff were at the front chatting to each other and not very attentive. We decided not to bother ordering anything more and left.
It was our first time eating oysters and the servers were really helpful and kind. The oysters and all of the food we ordered was amazing. Really lovely place with great food and staff. Would definitely come back again.
Great food , good ambiance even in winter!!! Breakfast lunch and dinner. Reliable. Had a super bistro steak frites dinner there (Aug. 4) Food
Highly recommend it. The entire food menu is delicious (try the Charred Octopus). Drinks are excellent. The customer service is amazing. We really enjoyed everything and coming back tomorrow. Please, go and check-it out
Fantastic meal. Octopus, scallops, tofu w/ Brussels sprouts, oysters, French fries, sourdough bread with salted rosemary butter. Good local wine.
Nice lite lunch when passing through Bloomfield this weekend. Small menu and a touch on the pricey side, but couldn t give it anything less than 5-stars since the food, service and atmosphere were all on point. My wife and I grabbed the grilled octopus and the special which was a shrimp cocktail. Our friends tried the smoked bird and burrata, I m not ashamed to admit I dipped into their meals which were also great. Nice looking patio, and the inside offers up a great vibe. Glad to finally cross it off the list.
Really quaint restaurant, and I rarely use that adjective. Servers were very friendly and personable, drinks were tasty, and the food was honestly phenomenal. My only hesitation in wanting to give it the full 5 stars were the unusually small portions. Im glad our group of 5 adult men ordered a few appetizers, because our large plates of steak and fries ($28) were disappointingly on the small side. We understand its quality over quantity here, but it wouldve been nice to have been advised by the server from the get-go. That said, I highly encourage you to try this place, as the atmosphere, employees, and food supercede any notes about portion sizes.
The food is beyond delicious. Fresh ingredients presented beautifully on antique dishes. Seriously, people need to discover the Bloomfield Public House.
Has a nice vibe and friendly waitstaff. The portions are slightly on the smaller side but the flavor is there with attention to locally sourced ingredients.
Food options were quite limited and they ran out of the special early in the night, and denied three of my friends it. However, the food we did get was mouth-watering. I ate steak frites and it was cooked exactly how I asked, and it was a high quality of meat in my view (and not a lot of fat). The industrial vibe was different for PEC, and that was a standout to me.
One of the best octopus I have ever had! Made with delicious fennel and a smoky chipotle sauce . Still dreaming about it days later! Great experience and definitely highly recommend!!
Had a lovely visit at this local gem of a place. Owners Laura & Elliot greeted us and told us the story of how they have navigated the last few years. What a joy, these 2 know how to be ambassadors for the county & their hood . We tried the following: Started with a few oysters 1) locally sourced tomatoes cooked In chilli oil- amazing 2) grilled cauliflower -wow 3)tuna with brussel sprouts & anchovies -we shared this with the guests at the next table and we were all impressed with the chefs use of ingredients Laura served some local wines (Pinot noir , Chardonnay & Pinot Gris) perfect pairings.. This place is a must visit for travellers from near & far
Awesome place! Definitely worth stopping by for a meal when in the neighborhood! Food and drinks were amazing and service extraordinary.
We cycled to The Public House for a coffee and sourdough bread both of which we bought. The coffee was weak and tasteless so I approached the server and asked if I could have a stronger brew. unfortunately her response was utter disinterest and basically said this is how it is. There was no attempt to ask if there was something else I wanted to buy or to offer a refund. Too bad, cos the bread is delicious.
Attentive service despite the room being quite full. Simple yet careful preparation of the ingredients. Thanks for a great meal!
Scrumptious menu and other things to enjoy there or take out.
Lots of local brew on tap or in the fridge. Super friendly staff and great vibe.
Great food. Amazing service. Out of this world chocolate mousse
Some what pricey. Good service.
Tried Duck for the first time based on their recommendations. It was great. Very cozy. Great atmosphere. I remember when the building was a bank.
Organic and gluten free products
Im rounding up here from 4.5 stars. Coffee is great, food is really good (try the fries and the chicken sandwich). Employees/owners are very friendly! The only reason they lose a half star in my books is because of the prices... BUT if you go somewhere cheaper in the area, you wont get the same selection! Im a repeat customer, Im only mentioning this to set expectations. I definitely recommend it!
In celebration of my birth month, I visited this remarkable place for a delicious lunch and then shopped its market for healthy delicacies.
It was a dreary rainy day but we lucked out when we stopped here! I highly recommend the fries and mussels! Thanks Ladies, we will be back!
We had the chicken sandwich and fries. Chicken was hard with mostly batter. Fries not much better. Very disappointing. I dont usually leave negative reviews but this is a simple meal Ive had often and they need to be better. The staff was friendly and did give my spouse a different choice as hers was uneatable. The replacement meal seemed like canned shrimp. Didnt want to return two.
I have several complaints about this place but Im primarily upset with the food I got. My entire family got the chicken sandwich, and my entire family was disappointed. Its hard, too thin, and far too greasy. Youd think for 18 bucks it would be great... Honestly dont understand the high reviews here. 2 stars only because they were willing to change my moms order on the spot. Surprising considering they dont even bring you a menu. Definitely would not come back.
Great cocktails, eat-in, patio, and takeout market.
Great food and nice ambiance
Super chill place, lovvvvve the vibe in here.
Shrimp roll and fries were delicious
Interesting venue with a cornucopia of offerings to either sit-in or take-out.
A nice place to have a quick grub and coffee before heading to the beaches
Really good food. Well-curated bottle selection. Fried chicken sandwich is better than Downlow in Vancouver or Torontos PG Clucks, Indie Alehouse, etc. Perfect in every way, a must-have.
Highly recommend this spot! Creative and delicious menu and rotating specials. The restaurant also resolved a minor issue with our food in the most customer friendly way possible.
My husband and I had an incredible dinner at Bloomfield public house. The food, wine, service and ambience were 12/10! Not to mention they have amazing coffee at their take away counter. We will absolutely be back.
Disappointing. They could not accomodate my gaughter in her wheelchair even though there was an outside patio. All tables were bar height and seems like my request for a regular table was too much. Unfortunately not interested in finding a solution. Obviously acessibility isnt a concern.
Great lunch delicious mussels!
Some ok take away food. We live nearby and have tried quite a few things. I like the beet salad, quinoa salad, hummus. All expensive for the quality but ok when youre in a pjnch. Alcohol selection is good but also quite pricey. Staff not very helpful, at time rude. Generally expensive for the quality and items you can get at a standard grocery store.
Had a wonderful and intimate experience tonight ending a beautiful week in Prince Edward County. The meals were great. Best Steak Frites Ive had. My partners meal was different and delicious. Awesome hosts in Laura and Elliot, the owners. Everyone asked how we were doing with a gracious smile on their face. Well definitely be back.
Special Antique plates, fresh beef tartare, creamy PEI mussels! All perfect!
Great food always stop by when I m in town
An amazing discovery while in P.E.C.visiting from Montreal! Loved the vibe, the food, the owners (Laura and Elliot). A definite must for either their restaurant or their awesome market selection. Went in for a quick lunch upon arrival to our Airbnb and returned for a wonderful supper the day after
No photos as my hands were full with delicious sourdough bread and cultured butter as well as a great cappuccino. It was the perfect pit stop to carry on for the rest of the day.
A very nice place to get served a meal or pick up some local fare. Definitely a destination for everyone.
The wine was delicious but the smallest pour ever for the price. We ordered terrine with pistachio, sour dough bread and tomato jam. No where did it say apple was in the tomato jam which is unfortunate because my wife has a apple allergy and the sour dough was two tiny pieces that was more crust than bread. We brought the apple issue to their attention and it still ended up on our bill. On the walk out we didnt hear a thank you or an acknowledgement that we were there and the place was empty. We kind of felt the service could have been friendlier from the second we walked in (waiter was ok) to when we left, its a tourist town, be friendly.
So great to have this slice of paradise serving lunch and dinner again. Each dish is visually stunning with the perfect balance of flavours and texture that can only be achieved by true culinary artists. The trifecta - brilliant service, ambiance and food.
Really nice place to dropin for coffee, treats meals and even groceries
Great steak and fries lunch. The meat was tender and the fries were delicious! Kid-friendliness: High chair was available for my friends 8 month old daughter. Food : 5/5 |
Has a delicious meal. Great service.
Had a great Countylicious 2022 prix fixe dinner. Service was great and food very tasty. Started with a lovely roasted squash and whipped ricotta salad and the ostrich tartar. Mains were a delicious and savoury scallop chowder, and a flat iron steak cooked to perfection with frites that could have been just a little crispier. And desserts were the chocolate mousse and the warm apple cake - both delicious and providing just the right amount of sweet to end the meal. A great experience all around!
Wow! What a great quality food. So impressed from start to finish. I had a lunch prix fixe menu with a lettuce salad, steak and chocolate mousse. Everything was super delicious and fast. The staff were all friendly and attentive too.
A superb market!
Great store. Simple layout, with a good selection of locally sourced product. Bought some breakfast sausage from here that was A+. $6 for a can of Prince Eddy s is a stretch tho... Maybe shave that down a dollar or so.
Popped in on a rainy day and maybe hit them on an off day. Put out by serving us and handed over ice cold coffee. A good selection of food if wildly overpriced.
Bloomfield public is one of our favorite place before and during COVID-19. During covid they adjust amazingly by opening a market with online booking and pickup. Food os great and always fresh.
Really high quality market stocked with loads of local and handmade items. Highly curated selection of meats and preserves with some things (like duck confit) you wont find anywhere nearby. Exceptionally high quality standards on all house-made products and a wide variety of fresh or frozen meals to go.
Great gourmet store! Market, meals to go, sandwiches, frozen, desserts, coffee and tea, drinks and more. A wonderland for Foodies and those who appreciate local talents!
The grocery selection and fresh food here are wonderful-- especially the soups of the day. Plus, everyone is so friendly!
We found this stylish market on the drive to Picton. It seemed that they were just smoking behind the store, and there was a nice smell in the air. Friendly staff, local ingredients, and many other wonderful products to add color to your table. Please stop by and check it out.
Its a local place for us staff are fantastic the coffee and cappuccino are our favorite
Great
Great sandwiches. Coleslaw is perhaps the worst Ive had Im afraid, but the service is amazing, food good, and they offer a wide variety of unique items. Definitely worth a visit.
I was riding my bike down to Sand Banks Provincial Park and got a flat. Now Im sitting at a lovely little cafe in Bloomfield. Bloomfield Public House Market. Great food and service. I had the wings and a wonderful red beer. You can also purchase frozen foods, cheese and meats, wine etc...
Had a great coffee and the staff were very helpful finding me desert! Great meat selection as well!
I am a contractor in the County and was working in Bloomfield yesterday. I was looking for a quick, hearty meal and regret stopping at the Bloomfield Public House Market for lunch. I had a sandwich that was so dry I could not finish it and the macaroni salad was tasteless. The customer service was even worse than the food. I would not recommend this restaurant. If I could give it less than one star I would.
Neat little shop had interesting stuff did not purchase anything but had me curious.
Everything is great about this place except its apparent hostility to people who don t eat meat. There are no vegetarian sandwich options and when I asked if I could have a sandwich with the same ingredients as a meat-based sandwich but without the meat (ie cheese, tomato, lettuce, etc.) the woman refused with the explanation, we re more of a meat-focused place . It s already quite outdated not to offer options to vegetarians/vegans but to refuse to feed someone who is willing to pay the same as a meat-eater for a few veggies on a sandwich is just plain inhospitable.
Pretty amazing fried chicken here.
Quiet
Nice place but the pricing is outrageous- even coming from Toronto. Charging $30 for a $13 bottle of wine that is being sold in their grocery store they must think customers are fools!
They are lunch only restaurant and market. On previous trips they were busy but 3pm is apparently the time to show up. The food is excellent... the bread, slaw, pickles and mains were great. Their fried chicken was so tasty and crunchy. We had lunch there twice and both time were great. Everything is also bio degradable so you can feel good about that too.
This is one amazing shop! The prepared food and grocery items are top notch and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Their muffuletta sandwich is one of the best Ive ever had!
Good place to grab a quick coffee or cold drink to be enjoyed on their patio...lots of other goodies to eat as well. Just as a note when we visited the washroom was a porta Jon.
Extremely rude staff. Hair in food + mortadella (?) in their breakfast sandwiches. Don t come here.
Extremely overpriced. There was also a piece of hair in my breakfast sandwich, and when I tried to return it, the person very rudely and sarcastically asked how can I help you . Then they took 5 seconds to prepare a new sandwich for me when the first one took at least 10 minutes. They definitely just took the hair out and gave it back to me.
Cool place!
Very good chicken!
Simply excellent food. I highly recommend trying whatever their special is.
Attention cyclists-I grew up here in the county. After spending about 20 bucks on coffee and cookies I asked if I might get some water for my Cycling bottle. Answer.. water cost money. You will have to buy it. Totally disappointed. Good news..I have options.
The patio here serves some excellent smoked meat meals: Ribs, wings pulled pork. Delicious! And great service too.
Excellent food. Friendly service!
One of the best markets in the county.
Nice market, lots of variety and friendly staff
wonderful coffee great food!!
It was great to stop in and take a moment to grab a bite to eat while on the go. We ordered moffaletta and coffees to go, Id recommend trying the lavender coffee, not sweet at all and nothing really to add to it other than a splash a cream, yum! The staff member was on point, very down to earth and enjoyable to talk to. Id like to tip my hat on her exquisite recommendation for truffle chips and her character is rarely seen these days, thank you for making our stop special. The moffaletta was so good that I ran back in to grab the last one for lunch tomorrow!
Great market place !! Lots of varieties of food !! Unique choices and for ppl who love quality food, it will be a cool place to go.
The best food and drink the County has to offer delivered with a smile. And free popcorn!
Great latte and breakfast sandwich!!
Very pleasant staff, unfortunately all I needed was a coffee, so apart from getting and enjoying an Americano from here I cant express an opinion on the great range of products they carry.
Love this place!
Had lunch here, I have to concur on prices. We opted to share a chicken order between us. Waiter brought order out with deviled eggs. I really hadn t paid attention to whether included when ordering but quickly found out not so when waiter came back and asked us if ordered. I said I wasn t sure if included but I would gladly come in and pay for if a mistake. Not that they could give to someone else anyway and if their mistake why school us on not included. Waiter said no worries I m paying it forward today! That s nice thanks we said thinking seeing as not our mistake, then again came over to make note she was paying it forward. OK thanks I guess just odd. And yes porta johns ?? Really.
Here you can find artisanal prepared food to go. Everything is delicious
Unique experience
Nice and fresh soup and sandwich. Lovely hosts.
Popped in for a quick to go coffee and sandwich. Neat little store and patio set up. It was very overpriced, in my opinion though.
Neat concept.
Originally a restaurant (we reviewed our Purchase x Sale agreement docs here one very stressful afternoon and fell in love with the space / food / owners)... they have now converted to a general store of awesomeness. We have tried their hot goods, make ahead meals as well as their takeout options for the perfect park snack and everything has been tasty and impressive. We especially love their fried chicken, which is now part of their BBQ arm (JUDYs). All in all highly recommend this spot and its worth the drive from where ever you may be.
Loved the local fares and ambiance! Great spot to stop on a bike ride
Very good coffee and service on the front patio ! Breakfast sandwich was really good! Recommend
Dont have much to say about Bloomfield Public house market but the BBQ called Judys menu is a bit of a task. Nothing to take away from their delicious bbq but their staff yesterday was a bit of a let down. Firstly they make you wait 30 mins for your lunch and when you go to remind them, a not so friendly waitress says 8 mins, no actually 10 mins, we have a lot of work today. as if to say your customers dont understand that and are expected to wait 30 mins. We then found a hair in our meal which Stacey refused to acknowledge and made it hard to have any sort of conversation or even issue a swift refund. In the end a very friendly gentleman by the grill helped us out. Food is great, prices are high and an impolite waitress can ruin your afternoon. Ill take a rain check next time.
Excellent food
So Cute
Service was questionable, over priced, small quantities.. bring a roll of paper towel for the fried chicken.. enough said
Fried chicken was pretty epic. I m a huge fan of Nashville style hot chicken. I wish they had an option for a spicier version of their delicious chicken. Price-wise it was a bit expensive for a somewhat small portioned meal. Would have been good if they included fries for the price. I m not much of a beer drinker but there was a good selection of interesting looking craft beers. Lastly, they should have a few more non-alcoholic beverage options other then bottled and sparkling water. Regardless, I will be back, and hopefully sooner then later!!
Best fried chicken ever. A must thing to do in the area.
Great coffee!
Very nice. Great beer and cider selection. You can order just a beer with purchase of a small bag of popcorn!!
Nice place to buy some local products and they have good coffee. Got a few smokers and a good place for some smoked meats and BBQ.
Great food, service. One of the best BBQ places that Ive been to.
First and foremost, delicious food!! Very friendly staff and owners. I will be back soon.
Fresh tasty food.
Their muffaletta was delicious! Took me back to New Orleans
Excellent food. Friendly service. Lovely choice of local and hard to find market finds! Always the top of my list for recommendations to guests. Not to mention that their coffee and breakfast sandwiches get me through the week. Judys also offers amazing comfort food! Put it on your list immediately.
I LOVED this spot when it was a restaurant (one of my faves in the County), so was a little sad when they changed to a market in the wake of 2020, but that sadness was short-lived as soon as I walked through the doors of the new BPH Market. AMAZING. From the cheese selection to the takeaway prepared food (YUM) and coffee, it s still a favourite of ours. Plus, the attached BBQ joint is the perfect weekend lunch feast!
Awesome place
Great place to stock up on some yummy food to prepare and pick up a quick lunch or dinner. We stayed at a nearby Airbnb and this was one of the best recommendations! Thank you for the great coffee, snacks and dinner on Friday night! Cant wait to go back and sit on that lovely patio next summer!
Good food, good setup, nice outdoor seating area.
We were there later in the day but there were still a lot of people going through. Fun to see so many interesting homemade products. Hope they do well.
Very quaint, ppl were very nice.
