Love this place! Very spacious, unique rooms in a heritage building. Owners are very friendly!

Great spot with wonderful service. Had a blast doing day trips throughout the County with the Empire being our home base. Would surely visit again, should our travels take us in that direction :)

Excellent chicken club and wonderful local service at the bistro. Stop over for a hot dog or some homemade chili.

The website said the bistro was open until 3, drove a good distance to get there by 2 and there was a note on the door saying they closed at 1.

We stopped in here for an afternoon coffee pick-me-up, and found a little gem. Sabrina - who made our coffee orders - not only opened up to serve us (it was closed upon arriving) but she was so very friendly and kind. The icing on the cake was my latte was delish! Stop in you will enjoy.

Thank you to Sabrina (owner/operator) for opening the café for two weary travelers looking for a quick hit of java! Sabrina loves what she does, and it shows. The coffee was top-notch, too! Well be back soon!!

Third time, best place to stay in prince Edward county, close to everything, rooms are charming and perfect, plus Sabrina makes us feel so welcomed. Dog friendly with a huge yard. The best review I can write is Ill be back again and again

This is our second stay at the Empress Inn and Suite. We finally found the perfect place to fully enjoy Sandbanks. My family and I find the room spacious for 4 people. The room is clean, large and functional! We are very happy to be able to shower and sleep in a comfortable bed after a day at the beach. We also like to have a little drink on the terrace at the end of the day! Nearby activities: The small shops in the village of Bloomfield, the proximity to the village of Wellington (restaurant, the park , the fort) The Local Store is worth a visit to discover local artisans and the Sandbanks beaches are less than 10 minutes away.

Selina, AJ & Bailey Nearby activities: Sandbanks and North Beach very close and great dog friendly area. Water was very calm and warm. Many wineries to choose from, which are also dog friendly. You can also drive to great off leash dog parks. Many great places to find good food. Walkability: Main Street just around the corner. Quaint neighborhood to walk with a few shops and Slickers ice cream shop.

Stayed here in July and really enjoyed everything! The owner made the experience incredible. Highly recommend. Clean, spacious and close to beaches. Noteworthy details: The owner went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Very friendly. Home-like atmosphere.

We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Sabrina brought as a very nice bottle of Champagne with two glasses for us to enjoy it. We felt at home. It was a lovely weekend.

We highly recommend Empire Suites. We recently stayed for 1 night and found the room to be spacious, very clean and perfect for our needs. If we find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely stay here. We were in a 2 bedroom suite. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed.

We stopped into Empire Bistro in between our wedding venue tours. We were on a tight schedule and were incredibly impressed with how friendly & quickly the staff member was able to help us. We got a smoothie, Caesar wrap and grilled cheese. We were really impressed with the quality of the Caesar wrap. She used real bacon and the homemade dressing was the perfect combination of creaminess and richness. The smoothie was vegan and so yummy! And the grilled cheese was very cheesy which was so nice on a cold day! We will definitely be back!

An unforgettable experience! 5 rating on atmosphere, comfort, room, cleanliness,location & experience. Truly a hidden gem to stay a couple of days at the Inn. Unfortunately did not eat at the bistro.

My husband and I brought our dog along for a quick trip to the Picton area. Thanks to Sabrina and her kind hospitality, we enjoyed a lovely stay at the Empire Suites. We highly recommend her location and we suggest bring your work out gear, Sabrina is a personal trainer, too!

I highly recommend the Empire Inn and Suites. Sabrina went out of her way to make our stay the best possible experience. Everything we asked her about, she was able to accommodate. Most hotels are very strict and not willing to bend a bit. We had a lovely time and would go back again. Rooms: Rooms were large, clean and had everything you would need for your stay.

The owners Sabrina & Norm are really kind, caring, & good hearted people I have ever met in my life. I was stuck at Bloomfield during the Christmas Eve blizzard and Sabrina came to rescue me at that life threatening weather walking through 3 feet snow. They gave me free accommodation & food for the whole week and treated me like their own family. Checking if I am alright and need anything. They made my Christmas week a happy & memorable one. Sabrina is truly an ANGEL!

My husband surprised my daughter and I (for my birthday) with a booking at Empire Inn and Suites. It was a wonderful experience and we really commend Sabrina for her warmth and hospitality right from the initial planning to the actual stay. She offered us a room upgrade as a gift for my birthday and even gave us a bottle of prosecco to celebrate. Sabrina made sure that we had a lovely stay, suggesting things to do and places to dine in. We are definitely coming back and will recommend the Inn to our friends.

My christmas present was a two day stay at the Empire Inn and Suites. We love to tour the County. We hired Paul to drive us around to a few wineries and breweries. He was very helpful and informative. Sabrina was very friendly and helped us anyway she could. Our 13 year old dog was to go to a sitters at home but the day before she pulled a muscle in his leg. Called to see if possible to bring the dog and right away YES of course. Large yard at the back [ schoolyard] Easy walking for us. Looks like an entrance to the Millennium Trail is at the back of the property.This Inn is in a great location in the county for shopping or touring. Thank you for making our stay easy We will be back!

Great breakfast at the Bistro & super exercise class

Absolutely amazed buy the stay! Room itself was solid - more the wonderful service at every second of the stay! We asked to have a fire in the fire pit in the back and three seconds later we got lighters, paper, and wood laid out for us. Anything we wanted was instantly accessible. Sabrina was top notch without question!! I highly recommend the Empire. Very dog friendly as well as we had our rather lazy bulldog Vivian with us, and was greeted soon as she got out of the car! Was our first time in PEC< and will certainly stay here again for future trips! Thank you! - Michael and Dan Rooms: Room was great - large with a small kitchenette to use. Full fridge - so could keep lots of the local wine :) Nearby activities: Wineries all over the area, a couple distilleries, and a roughly 10 minute drive to Picton along the main road. Very accessible to all of PEC.

Our host Sabrina was most accommodating & provided us with everything we needed. She made us feel at home in every way. Our breakfast was substantial & delicious while the coffee was excellent!! The location was great for us to visit Picton & Wellington. Sabrina puts a lot of effort into making her guests happy :)

My wife and I celebrated her birthday at Empire Inn and Suites. From the minute we got there we were treated like family. Sabrina was extremely kind and helped us plan a wine tour. Transition to mid-May. Great evening with barbecue grills. But it was too cool to dine outside. Very nice, comfortable room. The living room with sofa separate from the bedroom is a plus. It allows both early and late sleepers to enjoy. Super friendly welcome.

We stayed for a girls weekend (Friday to Sunday) and we re fortunate to stay in the suite. The room was huge with kitchen living room and a private patio, very clean and well maintained. Bed was very comfortable. Bathrooms were also great. Sabrina was the ultimate host and very accommodating if anything was needed. She has a bistro on site and has very delicious food and provides excellent service. She also lent us bikes which we enjoyed very much. Thank you Sabrina!!

Best girls weekend getaway! Spacious, clean and a private backyard with hammock and seating area to enjoy the evening for drinks. Sabrina the host is most helpful and accommodating. There is a restaurant in the hotel. Breakfast is amazing along with a selection of loose leaf tea and specialty coffees. You can rent bikes and at the back of the hotel, you may access the Millennium Bike/Walk trail. So conveniently located it s walking distance to restaurants, icecream shop and local specialty shops.

Was much more than I imagined! Everything I needed was in the very spacious room. I booked the room sight unseen, there were no pictures of it on the website. Walkability: Lots of places to see and visit in the village.

Brand new place to relax and have a wonderful homade cooked breakfast, and other treats. Sabrina is a wonderful host and love to know all of her guests and she wont forget your name. Elora has taken over the kitchen pumping out delicious foods and dessert treats! Highly recommend coming for good food and fellowship! Keep up great work guys!!!

Sabrina is a genuinely wonderful hostess. She went above and beyond to get us butter tarts when we were craving dessert after our supper. The kind and queen beds were very comfortable. The patio area was wonderful. We appreciated having the top sheet rather than a heavy duvet as most chain hotels have opted for. We had all of the amenities including breakfast which was very good. Coffee was tasty. The fridge and microwave came in very handy. It was great to have two bathrooms for 3 ladies. The inn was in close proximity for all of our touring. Rooms: The main bedroom is very spacious with a king bed. The second bedroom, although windowless, had French doors, a fan, and contained a queen bed which was very nice.

Excellent accommodations, we had the larger suite amazing a home away from home. Back yard is on the millennium trail east access. Owners were kind to store bikes in their garage.. prompt response by Sabrina. Even had a bonfire! Would definitely stay here again. Nearby activities: Biking

We were so very lucky to come across Empire Inn and Suites in our random search for accommodations..... meant to be! We were not disappointed and in fact were so pleased to spend our time in the very private Pillow Talk Suite. Sabrina is the host extraordinaire of this one of a kind Bloomfield gem.

We were looking to book a trip to Prince Edward County for a wine tour and was having a difficult time finding accommodations when I found this gem online. We had a girls weekend for a wine tour. Our room was spacious, lots of room and clean, the Inn is very well maintained. Our host Sabrina was delightful, she genuinely cares about her guests experience and was very warm and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back!

Sabrina goes way above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay at her hotel. Our room was immaculate and had every amenity we could want/need. Sabrina also knows the county very well and was a great source of info for us as we researched our family ancestry. The Bistro serves delicious food and the hours are great. We would 100% stay here again. Actually, we want to go back to stay again.

We booked a girls weekend stay and got the Pillow Talk room. It was immaculately clean when we arrived, and a great size for us. Sabrina was a fantastic host -- greeted us at reception, personally showed us around the suite, and hosted us at the Inns new café the next morning (the Inn serves a tasty and affordable breakfast too)! Her hospitality was really personalized right from booking until checkout, which was amazing! The Inn is located in a cute town that is equidistant from Picton and Wellington, so it was the perfect place for travel to both (for food and wineries!). Its right on the Millennium trail too (bike path), which we took to Wellington for our self-guided wine tour. I would definitely recommend this Inn to others!

Three day get a way from Muskoka to play tourist in PEC with my humans and me Woden a 9 year old German Shepard. I had a great time, staying with Sabrina, lots of ear scratches, treats, walk abouts in Bloomfield/Picton. Room was super clean, quiet and lots of space to spread out and sleep or snore like my Dad did. I had a nice big field to explore and run on the trails. It was nice to come back to my (our) room with water in my dish, my bed ready for sleeping. Sabrina is very personable, has a great knowledge of the area and helped my humans plan their wine tour, where to eat and gave great scratches. Walkability: We could walk to the restaurants in Bloomfield.

Great place to go for breakfast/brunch. They serve breakfast until after noon! Food and service were great. We were treated like family. Prices were extremely reasonable as well. We had the simple breakfast and it was under $10 for eggs, sausage, potato and toast. Kid-friendliness: Very welcoming to our two little kids. Happy to adapt the menu offerings. Our 4yo loved the big chicken stuffies and the chess/checkers at the table.

We highly recommend Our second stay this summer and will not be our last for years to come! Sabrina is a great, cheerful and attentive host.

We stayed at the Empire Inn and Suites for three days. Right from doing the reservation until our departure, the whole experience was an absolute best. Every aspect of our stay was fantastic. Sabrina greeted us very warmly as soon as we arrived and she very meticulously cared about everything from then on. The suite (Her Majesty) was supremely beautiful and very nicely arranged. We felt completely at home as soon as we stepped into it. The cleanliness and decor were exemplary. The breakfast at the Bistro was always perfectly done to our taste. Sabrina guided us through everything - how to plan our tours, where to take dinner etc. Sabrina was very caring and always there to talk to us when we needed. We have nothing else to say except Sabrina, we thank you from our hearts for making our stay so memorable and relaxing. WE WILL SURELY VISIT AGAIN!!

We came in for a good brunch and had an amazing time, not just eating the food and enjoying the many teas, but also chatting with the co-owner Sabrina. She not only suggested great tea pairings but also wonderful nearby shops to visit and sights to see. Everything about this place is A+!

As has been posted many times Sabrina is an excellent host. She and Norm have turned this old school into a very pleasant place to stay. My wife and I along with our four legged traveller Bailey have stayed more than once. Its an easy walk to a couple restaurants and my favourite micro brewery Matron Fine Beer.We also saw the progress on what looks like a very cool bistro within Empire Inn and Suites and cannot wait for it to open up. We will definitely return.

Great location, value and hosts! This was our fourth (fifth?) stay, this time sharing with another couple who also had stayed with us before. (The last time they had a separate suite, we blended kids and everyone piled into our big one for meals.) Sabrina and Norm are great hosts, and really do go all out to accommodate you and make you welcome. We love the opportunity, especially during Covid, to prepare our own meals, including in the summer on the BBQ. Fabulous place from which to explore every angle of the County, including 10 min drives to Sandbanks and 10-15 mins to a number of tour favourite wineries (Huff, Rosehall Run, Norman Hardies, The Old Third...). Well be back for sure!

I had such a wonderful stay at Empire Inn and Suites for my birthday weekend celebration. Sabrina was beyond accommodating. When I arrived she greeted me and lead me to my room which was adorned with a Happy Birthday banner and inside my room I was met with a handwritten card and some amazing local beer. Sabrina truly went above and beyond. She gave me recommendations for local food and beverage establishments and was incredibly warm. I would 1000% stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and clean space to rest their head while exploring Prince Edward County.

This was our second stay and not our last! It works out so well that it has everything we need to enjoy a sisters get together weekend with just a 10 min drive to Sandbanks. Our suite has a full kitchen, separate bedrooms & private deck and if your missing something Sabrina is more than helpful to get you anything you need to help you enjoy your stay. Oh and most importantly it s very clean!

Our group had a delightful stay at Empire Inn and Suites with plans to return again. The Sundown Suite was perfect for our group of 14 for dinner and mingling after the meal. Very spacious and well equipped for meal preparation, serving and seating. Sabrina is a wonderful host and goes beyond expectations.

Hotels very well located and what can I say about the owner Sabrina just wow full of attention she even provided us with large towels to dry our motorbikes , and very close to the Sand banks beach really perfect we had taken a complete 2 bedroom apartment kitchen and living room for 2 nights very clean and everything is complete kitchen stove fridge to return.

We celebrated my husbands 80th birthday at Empire Inn & Suites and enjoyed every minute. Sabrina is a perfect hostess and goes out of her way to make you feel at home. She is warm and friendly and the Inn is a former school so it has lots of character and charm. We had a huge suite (large, eat-in kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths & a laundry room) plus a private outdoor area with our own BBQ & hammock. The Inn is close to downtown so we could walk everywhere. Also we were in wine tasting country so a short drive to numerous wineries and breweries. Some were within walking distance. We highly recommend this Inn and we definitely will return.

Spotlessly clean and lots of hot water, good location for exploring Prince Edward County, large suite with kitchenette and everything that we could possibly need. Ideal for our two dogs as outside door was very close to our suite, so that we could come and go easily. Lovely grounds and enjoyed access to Millennium Trail and charming Bloomfield Village. The room (5) was perfect with a full kitchen and everything you could want in it. The bed was very comfortable and sitting outside with our coffee in comfortable chairs in the morning sun was a pleasant bonus. We saw bikes and Sabrina showed us the Trail right across the field. She fitted us out with a couple of bikes and even though I didn t have appropriate footwear she offered me her shoes! Talk about giving the shirt off your back. The hosts have a marvellous can do attitude. They even lent us her backpack The hospitality of Sabrina who owns this boutique hotel is unmatched anywhere!

Our family rented 3 rooms for 2 nights at the Empire Suites and it met all our expectations. The rooms are clean and the location was only a few minutes away from the wineries. The rooms are large enough for all of us to gather in one, have breakfast and be on our way. Sabrina was increadibly helpful and kind. I would not hesitate to recommend Empire Suites to anyone looking for accomodations in Prince Edward County!

This was my 2nd stay with Empire Inn and again irreprochable. This time we brought our two dogs who had loads of fun on the expansive back yard. Sabrina was her usual self, caring with great attention to our needs. We visited their new Bistro which is tastefully decorated and opening soon. Will definitely be returning next June for our next getaway. Highly recommended for cleanliness, impeccable rooms and close to Sanbanks Provincial Park.

One of the nicest people I found in my life. We were in Prince Edward county to do a family bike ride and didnt know where to start. We meet the owner at the country shop and he directed us to his hotel to park and start the ride there. Best hotel to stay at for the trails. We were all blown away from their hospitality. These owners are great people, and great people produce great business. They deserve their hotel to me booked up all year round. Rooms are amazing!!! Hidden treasure of Prince Edward County!

We ve stayed here 3 years in a row for our ladies wine trip. Each visit has been consistently pleasant. Suites are spotlessly cleaned, well stocked with whatever you need, and if you don t have it they ll probably lend you there s. Each room offers something special with areas outside to bbq or relax around a fire pit. Well behaved dogs are welcome! A short drive to many wineries and Kinsip distillary. Looking forward to next years trip!

First off pet friendly. First ever vacation for our Wheatie and 32 years since my husband and I had one. Rooms were clean, comfortable and cozy, not small just cozy. Walking distance to restaurants, trails and shopping. Saylor s and Harry s yum yum Last but definitely not least SABRINA s a gem. Felt very comfortable with her like I d known her forever.

Great place to stay in Prince Edward County. Lovely grounds and very central to the beach, trails, wineries, shops and restaurants. Sabrina was so accommodating. She took care of every situation like providing blankets to go out for dinner in the outdoor patios incase it got chilly. The room was just right. We were able to prepare our own breakfast and pets were allowed in the room. Therefore June our dog was happy and loved Sabrina.

First of all, Sabrinas follow-up and her welcome upon our arrival were the height of our trip to the county region. Everything was spotlessly clean and the environment was a real surprise!! : small private garden with sofa or outside dining, bbq, fire pit for marshmallows, large plot of land with hammock, path for cycling or hiking, gym... No noise! Sabrina was incredibly kind and I had tears in my eyes at leaving this beautiful region, at not having spent enough time chatting, and our little corner of paradise! Our dog was welcomed like a king! Dont hesitate for a single second!

The manager was very friendly and provided a list of helpful places to eat, visit etc.. The property is super clean, with a patio area, hammocks, and a fire pit. Plenty of green space area and the location is quiet.

I had the chance to stay at Empire Inn and Suites for my trip to Sandbanks. Great place, lots to offer and Sabrina, the owner, is the best, very welcoming and helpful. Close to the beach, restaurants and shops. A very nice place to stay with your family, even with your dog!

Amazing time as always! This was our second visit to Empire Inn & Suites. Every time we are blown away by the great hospitality and customer service that Sabrina provides. They truly do treat you like family here! My fiancé and I couldn t get a taxi into town due to how busy the night was, Sabrina was so kind to offer us a ride and drove us to dinner! Truly amazing! We will definitely be back :)

We were back at this gem again and this time we stayed at SunDown suites which had two bedroom, two washroom outdoor patio and boasting over 1,500 square footage of space. Our family had a fabulous time. Our teens were so impressed they showed off the rooms to their friends. We were able to partake in yoga and meditation as a family that Sabrina so graciously practiced with for us. She truly has a gift as a yoga instructor. We had an amazing time as a family for a spiritual hour of meditation and mindfulness. On our last night we had a campfire where kids entertained us with stories. Thanks Sabrina for making this a spectacular getaway. This is definitely going to be an annual event for us. Highly recommend to anyone who is visiting Prince Edward County all year long. Thanks! This was our 3rd time staying at the Empire Inn and Suites. The room we had was again perfect for us as a couple and our small dog was very comfortable. There is a large green area as part of the property where the dog can play off leash. The hostess/owner, Sabrina, was very friendly and welcoming (as usual) and she had many suggestions and tips for enhancing our visit to Prince Edward County. The Empire Inn is located in Bloomington and is centrally located within the County. Excellent for our needs!

The suite we had, despite being the smallest, is very well equipped, super clean, comfortable and welcoming. Sabrina is an exceptional hostess who takes great care of her guests. She knows her region well and showed us beautiful places. The use of the bbq and the courtyard is a big plus.

Fantastic find in Bloomfield. Sabrina was very welcoming and was always available wether it was to make our stay more comfortable or providing information about the region. Group of 6 staying in 2 suites. Very clean and comfortable with all the amenities. Also outdoor area with seating, BBQ available to guests which was greatly appreciated since restaurants arent necessarily next door. Convenient location between Picton Wellington the wineries and beaches. Many thanks again to Sabrina for a wonderful stay. (hope we werent too loud) lol

A very welcoming innkeeper (Sabrina), an impeccably clean place. Our suite is very spacious with all the desired comfort (kitchen, living room and very large bathroom). There is even plenty of room to store the bike. The bed is cozy, the towels soft and there is everything you need in the small kitchen to make a meal. In terms of value for money, it s a well-kept secret.

Sabrina and Norm are very friendly and helpful. Sabrina thoughtfully turned on the air conditioning to cool our room for our arrival which we greatly appreciated. The pretty room was clean and stocked with bottled water in the fridge, coffee maker, kettle, coffee, tea and sugar. The queen bed was an oasis of comfort after a day of exploring. Loved the bonfire in the back and the white lights decorating the patio. All in all, a wonderful stay in a pretty county!

A wonderful and welcoming place to stay in Prince Edward County

What a wonderful place...we had a separate room called Pillow Talk as we have 2 dogs. A great room with separate bathroom and kitchen. Sabrina was an excellent hostess with great suggestions for places to eat or to stop off and explore. She even brought my husband a little surprise for his birthday. Plenty of room for the dogs to roam, a great outdoor area with BBQ and plenty of seating...in the back there is a firepit and more seating. We are going back next year for sure......

My husband and I just spent several relaxing days here. We stayed in a spacious suite with its own kitchen and private entrance. It was very clean, the bed was quite comfortable and it was nice to have the use of a kitchen. There s a great outdoor space and it s also very private. Sabrina was a wonderful host who surprised us with a bottle of champagne since we were celebrating our anniversary. We enjoyed shopping in Bloomfield and found it a short drive to explore nearby places. We would love to go back again!

Clean, roomy, dog and human friendly

My friend and I were celebrating a special birthday and Sabrina thoughtfully provided a bottle of champagne and a welcome Happy Birthday sign. Our room was spacious, clean, with all the comforts of home. Sabrina shared lots of details on where to visit, dine and of course the shopping in Bloomfield made for an afternoon adventure. We would definitely return !

Sabrina proved to be an excellent hostess. Very informative, helpful and friendly. We had the largest room at the Empire Inn complete with all amenities. The room was quiet, exceptionally clean and the king size bed was amazing. Loved our stay!

Our stay was wonderful! The minute we arrived, we were greeted by one of the owners who immediately offered us a free room upgrade. The room was incredibly clean and spacious, equipped with a half kitchen and a sectional. It had lots of room for Stella, our 5 month old Golden Retriever to play and lounge. The property was just beautiful, with loads of green space for us to walk our dog. It s located only 10 mins from Picton and the town is like something out of a hallmark movie. We only stayed 2 nights, but we will absolutely be back to this hotel and recommending it to friends and family.

Super courteous staff. We made our bookings through Expedia but then had to cancel last minute. The owners were very kind to understand our situation and have a full refund. Thw same night, we found that we can actually travel. We called back to book directly. The room was available and we were provided a large suite. The staff also ensured we were welcomed late at night and also provided us great restaurant recommendations for new years eve.

It was our first experience in the Sandbanks area, we truly appreciated the hospitality of Sabrina. She made our visit a true positive experience. She went out of her way to ensure that we experience all the Sandbanks area has to offer. We stayed in the king suite room, which had its own private entry. We enjoy the access to the amenities. We will definitely be going back ! Thank you Sabrina !! :)

This motel is very affordable, great ,clean it is near the falls , restaurants tourist boutiques , The staff are very hospitable, i stayed there two weeks ago . The rooms are spacious, well ventilated. It has beautiful amenities. .you get more than what u pay for . .

Air conditioning is bad and my daughter almost died because there was no air and no windows and they showed us a really good room and when they gave us a room it was horrible

My partner and I had an amazing time here and enjoyed every moment. The took the opportunity to enjoy the Bbq, the bicycle trail behind the property and the the central location of Bloomfield. The owner/ manager is one of the greatest hostesses Ive ever met. She ensured everything was clean, and gave us some incredible winery recommendations. I will absolutely be cooking back to stay here.

We had a pleasure of staying at this wonderful 2 bedroom suite (3 adults + 2 kids). The suite was sparkling clean and had everything you need for your stay with all the little things that make your trip easy! A bonus - huge backyard with fire pit and a cozy BBQ area. Location is perfect - 10 minutes in any direction and you hit a scenic spot! Beaches, playgrounds, farms, restaurants - just minutes drive (some of them are just walking distance) . Sabrina is a great host - she made us feel at home! Definitely will be back! Thank you, Sabrina!

My friends and I stay here every year for our annual girls weekend. The accommodations are beautiful and affordable, and the location in the quaint town of Bloomfield is perfect. On top of all that, Sabrina (the owner), is the sweetest and most hardworking person. We look forward to catching up with her every year and seeing what fun things theyve added to the property. My wife and I have stayed here twice a year for the last 4 years. Just returned from another fantastic weekend. Owners are very hospitable, the rooms are well kept and very comfortable. Centrally located to wineries, sand dunes, and restaurants. Rooms

We were here for 3 nights to celebrate our anniversary. We stayed in the Pillow room, which appears to be an addition to the existing building. Good things: Sabrina is a lovely hostess. They had a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us when we arrived. The room was very clean and sanitized. Having its own private entrance during these Covid times was a bonus and the kitchen while small had everything we needed. It s close to Picton, Wellington and the Sandbanks as well as Millenium bike trail. Negative: the wifi reception was terrible, especially in the evenings. We kept getting kicked off and couldn t download anything. Sabrina said she d never had complaints before which I find surprising. Not much effort made other than to say she rebooted the modem. There is no Smart tv for Netflix or Prime so our plan to watch something on our iPads was a bust. (It rained on one of our days). There is no closet, you have to hang your clothes on hangers on a few hooks on the door. There is room in one corner where a small armoire would easily fit. There are a few dressers but some clothes need to be folded. If you face the bed, I slept on the left side. Every time I tried to turn into the middle of the bed, I kept being rolled back as the bed sagged toward the edge. So despite it being a king size bed, I didn t have a lot of room to man uvre. I expected more for $200 per night and unfortunately will not stay there again.

We had a lovely stay here over the long weekend. The host was so friendly and we felt really welcomed!! The space was nice and clean. The best thing is that it s dogs friendly :)

Upon arrival we were greeted by sabrina. She was very helpful professional and knowledgeable! She let us know of the restaurants and attractions near by. The inn had a giant field for our german shepherd to run which was a huge bonus! The room was extremely regal and immaculate in the sense of cleanliness. Lovely sky light in the middle of the ceiling to allow natural flow of light. The bed was so comfortable it was like being taken away on a cloud come sleep time. Had a profound stay at empire inn! We will be returning in the summer!

Everything about Empire Inn and Suites was amazing. Clean, spacious, and modern suites. Sabrina was an amazing host who took care of us from the moment we arrived until we left. We had to check in late and she waited until we arrived before leaving the front desk so we didnt have to do a self-check in. Sabrina also helped us with dinner reservations, she recommended other restaurants, wineries, activities, etc. When I return to PEC I will definitely be staying here :)

Celebrated my sister s 50th birthday in Bloomfield. Our host Sabrina had a Happy Birthday banner in the room and we were all very happy with the cosyness of the room. We lost our room key temporarily and the reply was Not to worry, keep having fun ; so happy to have found this place.

Our host was hospitable and helpful. Room was clean, decor was a modern in a historic school building. Super cute.

We had a great stay at the Empire Inn . Our host Sabrina was very helpful and attentive. We stayed in a 2 bedroom and kitchen suite which was spotless and well appointed. We will definately be back.

We came here for our baby-moon. This Inn was renovated in a historic school in Bloomvale. The owner had plenty of little facts and information about our surrounding area for us. The place is about 10 minutes drive from the sand banks, and also 10 minutes away from Picton. Originally we had booked a small room to base our trip out of, but we were upgraded to a much larger and nicer suite! Room was well decorated with plenty of channels to watch from. The room we were in was a work in progress but was still wonderful and spacious! We had 2 Queen sized beds which works well if youre traveling with someone who is pregnant! The room also had a large 5 piece sectional that was very comfortable as well. The toilet is on a septic tank, so be careful not to flush any toilet paper down! My only gripe was the fluorescent ceiling lights which were the same ones probably from when it was as school. However there was plenty of lamps in the room to keep it lit so its just a minor issue. If youre near wellington, you have to try La Condesa (Mexican food) It was phenomenal! Also checkout Miss Lilys cafe in Picton for some delicious coffee! The room was clean, spacious, central and nicely decorated; what more can you ask for??? Would definitely come here again for future visits.

Gorgeous. Everything is new and tastefully decorated. Extremely clean. The owner is a gem. She even offered to do our dishes and prepare a campfire for us. There are beautiful terraces and even hammocks. It feels like a home. Everything is perfect. I recommend.

What a great place!!!

Stayed at the Empire this past week. The historical building (from 1905) that was once a school is now a wonderful inn, minute or so away from main street Bloomfield the greatest little town in Prince Edward County. Our stay was made particularly welcome, not just by supercomfy beds, but by Sabrina, our host, who is wealth of information about all things in the area. The inn also has bike rentals which is fantastic as the Millennium Trail (a former railway track) provides you with 50 km of uninterrupted, and safe biking through farmland, vineyards. Will definitely be back!

Dog friendly, great location in the heart of the county, beautiful spacious rooms that are suites so you can keep your wines / beer chilled, and amazing service are just a few reasons why Empire Inn is the perfect spot while in the county. Steps from restaurants and the quaint village of Bloomfield, this peaceful town is a must stay for the excellent location. The room was stunning and beautifully decorated with so many thoughtful touches and we even had a terrace. Highly recommended for dog owners too, the owners were great with our doggo.

Great modern rooms with art for sale, super quiet . Sabrina is the most amazing host and will do anything to accommodate your needs . The property is a work in progress and is pet friendly. Must try ,close to town and most anything that you would like to do on holiday.

Host Sabrina and Jim were great! Rooms are clean and nicely furnished and decorated. Big lot with lots of outdoors seating and a fire pit in the backyard. Close to many activities (main strip in Bloomfield, market in Wellington, Sandbanks, and many wineries/breweries/distilleries). A definite stop!

I was lucky enough to get a last minute reservation in the suite over the weekend and I couldnt be happier with my experience! Sabrina was a pleasure to deal with and explained all the details perfectly. The suite was huge, modern, and very clean. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the high quality sheets and pillows, its a small detail but we really appreciated it. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone who would like a comfortable stay in Prince Edward County!

Our room was small but it had everything we needed, the location was great and management was very helpful. Its also dog friendly so we were able to bring our pup along. Id highly recommend to other travellers and wed stay again if we end up having the opportunity. All in all, great place.

Sabrina is a wonderful host, my boyfriend and my two wonderful small dogs call this a home away from home. We rented two separate units two weeks apart and were in love with both of them. We can t wait to go back next summer!

Beautiful rooms, the lady whiskey suite is excellent with 2 large rooms, living room and fully equipped kitchen. The Empire Inn is also equipped with a barbecue for the guests to use and a fire pit. The staff are very friendly and certainly contribute a lot to giving the Inn that home away from home feeling.

Located in Bloomfield, Empire Inn and Suites is close to Sandbanks Provincial Park, wineries and everything else in PEC. The owners have done a wonderful job renovating their large and spacious suites, each with its own distinctive look. Our suite had two separate bedrooms and could easily have accommodated a family of four. Great place to stay in Prince Edward County all year round.

Needed a place to stay for a late summer trip to the Sandbanks. Thankfully this place is 10min away in a nice small village. Plenty of space, great room, kitchen was awesome. We had everything we needed. I highly recommend this place especially for families.

This place is FANTASTIC! I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Empire Inn while in Bloomfield attending a wedding. The hosts, Norm and Sabrina, gave us a warm welcome upon arrival and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Our suite was very well appointed with top quality amenities and luxurious furniture. Our bed was so comfy it was hard to leave it in the mornings! Amazing accommodations in Prince Edward county. Close to great food and antiquing. We stayed for a wedding and could not have been more thrilled with comfort and convenience. The deck and chairs were lovely and kitchen fully stocked with tools. Promised firewood and complimentary breakfast were not available.

Fantastic stay at the Empire! Rooms beautifully decorated, well appointed, exceptionally clean and within walking distance of quaint downtown Bloomfield. The Inn is located in what was a school house and the suites are themed. Ours, the Beach, a two bed room suite, had high ceilings, was airy and spacious and had a full kichen with access to a roof top patio. Sabrina the host, warmly welcomed us, provided a tour of the whole premises and was a great resource making dinner reservations for us on our 1st night. Thanks Sabrina for making us feel so welcome. The Majesty room has just been redone, so its pretty nice. I dont think anyone else was staying there so we had the whole place to ourselves. Very clean with all the amenities you need.

Had a really pleasant stay here! Room was as close to hotel quality as you can get with nice decor and everything was really clean. Staff were really nice, and the free wifi and continental breakfast were a big plus. Nice patio in the back and 10 min drive to the sandbanks. Would definitely recommend this if youre looking for a more hotel-like room experience compared to a traditional bed and breakfast

Long version... The heat didnt work in the 1500 sq ft suite in November. So we asked for a different suite. No luck. We were given a portable heater to carry back to our room and a tip Turn the clothes dryer in your room. We soon understood why the room heats up when the clothes dryer is on...because the dryer vents directly in the room instead of outside, which is very illegal by the way. But it did become warm enough to remove our scarves by 10pm. We were promised a call by management which never came. Never got a call. We understand things can go wrong, but its how its handled afterwards that makes or breaks the review. In this case....failing grade. Update 3 days later: Still never got a call or apology from management, so I called them. The best they can offer is a discounted rate on future stay. Better bring a warm jacket. We are avid travellers and this is literally the worst service we have ever received. Literally, the worst.
