Great food. Great Wine. Great Service. This is what Allegro Fine Dine has been serving up since we opened our doors 20 years ago. And this is why our patrons - Italian food and wine enthusiasts in every sense - keep coming back for more. Once you step inside our cozy and vibrant establishment in the heart of Bolton you will feel like you are on a mini-sojourn in Italy. Our ambiance and décor is a “little slice of Italy” blended with cultured modernism, and here your next culinary adventure awaits you as we only offer the best in Italian food, wines and beers. For the Italian food aficionados, we never disappoint. We are a family-operated restaurant and you will feel just like a part of our family while dining at Allegro Fine Dine.
I celebrated my birthday here and it was a night to remember! Tony and the staff were so attentive to us and the food was incredibly delicious and fresh, with lots of variety in order to satisfy the preferences of everybody at the table. Thank you to Allegro for a wonderful fine dining experience!
We went here for dinner with high expectations for good quality food based on the reviews we have seen when researching it ahead of time. We were greeted with the most amazing service (by the owner himself), a cozy and comfortable atmosphere (even though it's in a busy downtown area), and the best food we have had in this entire region. The chef clearly possesses an incredibly strong passion for his food, and it comes through in every single on his dishes, and becomes even more clear when you ask him about them. He answered every single question I had about the composition of his dishes, his ingredient selection, and his general opinions about food. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. To us it was more than just a great dinner - it was an unforgettable experience.
Allegro is one of the best fine dining places there is! From the food to the atmosphere, this place is one of a kind. Tony is a fantastic chef and is very hospitable to his guests. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and a great night!
Tony took excellent care of us during our stay. I'm normally used to eating smaller meals, but couldn't help myself and between two people ordered two appetizers and a pizza to share. In addition to that we received complimentary pasta - needless to say, there was a lot of food. All of the food was delicious. Everything tasted fresh and vibrant, portions were generous, and prepared in an authentic manner but with a personal touch that gave me an unexpected and new experience. Beyond all that, all of the food was so delicious, and sat so comfortably. Truly a sign of quality cooking and quality ingredients. On my way out I made another reservation for an even larger group, since I know I'll be returning, and I'll want to share this place with more friends.
There's nothing better than having the owner of an ITALIAN fine dining restaurant cater to your table making you feel like you're the only one in the restaurant. No better an authentic Italian food home made to order. Wow that was incredible!!! Speechless.!! The quality!!!! The care!! Then love!!!
Had a large party for my mom's 65th birthday. Tony did a great job preparing a set menu with wondering family style apps and plated main course. He did a special kids menu too. He made his tiramisu as the birthday cake and made it in a circle to look more "cake" like. Delicious! See a few photos. Didn't take pics of the pasta or gnocchi.
We were there on Valentine's day. We were presented with a Valentine's Day menu that was a condensed version of the regular menu with at least a 50% increase in prices. The food was mediocre and certainly not worth the extreme price. We were also charged $10 for a bottle of water that we didn't ask for and was already open when it arrived at the table. Stay away from this place.
Nice ambiance. Gnocchi & Ravioli dish were swimming in sauce like a soup. Pasta taste, was fresh, just too much sauce. Wine good. Service great. Pricey for this quality.
Great food ,service and location. A bit $$ but quality made it worth while. Food
The service was excellent. The food taste amazing. The chef was really nice. I highly recommend this place.
I d give this a zero. The owner is miserable and doesn t know how to treat his customers. This restaurant is always empty for a reason.
I would recommend this restaurant! What amazing service and the food was delicious . Thank you to Frank for such a great experience.
This restaurant is far from fine dining. Mediocre ambience, mediocre service, over priced specials ($79 veal chop, $79 rib eye) and a lousy wine selection. Local mediocrity at best. So many better choices for the money.
To be fair food was good. Service was good. Prices are very expensive but I m not complaining as I was aware of it before going when I checked the restaurant online. What I didn t like was that we were charged 10$ for a bottle of water that we didn t even ask for and we didn t even know we will be charged that, I didn t notice that we were charged until after we left my wife told me. Anyway if you ever think of going and don t wanna be scammed ask not to be served water in a bottle and if they have any special for the day ask how much it is because apparently they don t have their specials on the menu so you don t get surprised (shocked) at the end with the bill.
This fine dining restaurant has left us with the best impression. Hospitable hosts , delicious dishes, beautiful presentation , wide wine list and wonderful deserts. I recommend this place to anyone if you want the best food!
We normally go to Vaughn or Klienberg to get quality food and are so thankful we stumbled upon this Gem. The food at Allegro is outta this world, with fresh pasta and quality gourmet dishes. Tony was a charming host with a personal touch that explained all our options. We had the muscles that were cooked perfectly with a tomato sauce filled with personal spices making us go through two orders of bread just to dip. My pasta was an amazing blend of flavors and spices with penne and ham in a rose sauce. So glad we found this place as with the rise in food prices Id rather spend money on quality food instead of junk. Also look out for their menu specials Parking: There is parking available off of HWY 50, so no need to park across the street to walk Kid-friendliness: Tony was so sweet with outr kids, and offered ti make special kid friendly pizzas and pasta dishes as well
10/10 Do not recommend
Amazing food, great sauce and calamari of dreams. Tony was an amazing host!! Great food, friends and hospitality! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options for pasta. Parking: Great location. Street parking not an issue
Amazing food. Amazing and very hospitable staff. It s like home atmosphere. Beautiful ambiance. Tony and his wife are amazing hosts. The best place in town to bring your family to. Would definitely visit again and most definitely recommend this beautiful restaurant.
Allegro was a great experience!! the food was great & the menu is enticing will be back to try the rest of it! The service was excellent & polite! meals didn t take too long yet was still made with care! the interior & exterior were very nice, clean & peaceful! will come back again
The food was spectacular!!
We stopped by to look at the menu for future reference and couldn t turn away! So many delicious looking options and our dinner didn t disappoint! The owner was so personable and gave us incredible service (and even explained the best way to reheat my leftovers!). Allegro will definitely be added into our rotation for both a casual date night or celebratory dinners!
I planned my birthday dinner at Allegro with some family and friends. Food was delicious, the staff was very kind and the outdoor patio was beautiful!
Best Burrata we ve had in a long time. Service was fast and pizza was exceptional. Great experience.
We were told by friends to check this place out. Food was amazing. We had multiple food choices and all was delicious. Will be there again soon .
Wonderful experience the food and atmosphere was perfect!! And special thanks to Tony look forward to having my wedding reception at your location.
Chef Tony made us feel like family. Sharing his stories and his culinary excellence, we enjoyed a beautiful evening at his place. What a quaint and lovely space to share a meal with our loved ones, leaving with happy memories and happy tummies. Keep your passion going, Tony. You bring pride to the Bolton community. Mirian Sansalone
Delicious, fresh food. The seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection. Friendly staff, especially the chef. Will be returning!
Went for dinner with my spouse Expensive for what it is. Service took entirely to long. Server said would bring Bread never did. Ordered a drink that never came. Oh and water is $6.50. Definitely not fine dining or anything close to it. Food
We went on a Saturday night. Had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Food was yummy! Very expensive however, we were charged $10 for mineral water and an added $60 tip on our bill that we didn t know about. We sat right in front of the kitchen so we got a great view of our food being made. Chef/waiter was very jolly! Total bill for 4 was $400+
On November 5, 2023, with family and friends, we celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary at Allegro. We wanted a private venue with space for dancing. From planning the evening to party date, service was exceptional and accommodating! Food was fantastic and the service impeccable! Tony, Franca and Joanne went above and beyond to make our evening amazing and so memorable. We would highly recommend Allegro Fine Dine for any of your special occasion events. Thanks for making our celebration we will never forget. Brigitte & Juergen Seipt
We happened upon this delightful, authentic Italian restaurant this evening. Great ambience, warmth and a passion for fresh, flavourful food. We have travelled all over the world and we were greeted with passion, fun and kindness from the start. Fresh Burrata, Caesar salad, spicy mussels and seafood pasta were all amazing! The owner asked what we were in the mood for and selected a wine based on our food choices which was complimentary and just right. We will make our way back to Bolton just for Allegros! A great experience, feels like home. Thank you Tony Viola, We feel like we are part of the family.
I cannot say more and better things about this place. The service was primo. Attentiveness to the max. If you searched for the best calamari in town. This is the spot. You will not find better calamari anywhere.
Great food and great ambiance. Friendly staff and presentation.
Location looking nice
Great food, but more importantly such friendly staff. Would recommend!
Just had an outstandingly wonderful dinner. Absolutely delicious and both waiter and chef/owner friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend for a very nice dinner out.
Great food and great service. The staff talked to us like we were real people. So refreshing.
The most authentic and truly delicious Italian food I have been searching for in Bolton for years. The personal touch that the owner and his wife provided for us was superb. A lot of fancier and flashier restaurants in the area for sure, but this food cannot be beat. A truly special experience. Thank you Tony ! Everything was perfect. Grilled calamari to die for. Jumbo shrimp and mussels were INCREDIBLE.
An UNBELIEVABLE dinner. NY striploin with truffle oil .. . Grilled calamari and cozze... Everything was DELICIOUS. The owner Tony went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our experience. Traditional Italian dining. PERFECT !!
Saturday night 7 PM we were the only customers in the entire restaurant. Tony sat us and brought us over a bottle of flat water as we sat down. Service was good. However, the food was a bit expensive for what it was. But overall, it was a nice experience. Until today, when we actually looked at the bill, we paid it blindly. We were charged $10 for the water. on the bill, it was listed as mineral water. However, the water tasted like regular tapwater, and I had made a comment to my husband that the bottle it came in, the label I had almost been washed off and that it would look better if they had taken the time to completely peel the label off. The condition of the label on the bottle tells me that the bottle had been refilled, most likely with tapwater. After seeing this unexpected charge on our bill that we were not told about and the water was brought to us without asking. we will not return. We d love to be able to support local businesses but will not support businesses that tack on unnecessary charges, and a sneaky and deceptive way!
Incredible food. If you want a high class home cooked meal this is the place. Real authentic fine food. The owner Tony is the best
Arrived here on a Saturday night for a 630 reservation. One gentlemen took our drink order and the chef came out to give our specials. Sounds great, right? Only problem is that the chef does not allow the server to take orders. 35 minutes later and we still did not have our order taken. It seems the chef ran the floor and did not allow the server to take orders. A table of two showed up after us and was sat down and had their orders taken right away. The chef then went and started cooking for them. One man operation??? Our family has been in the hospitality industry for over 40 years and we have never seen this kind of operation. Needless to say, we asked for the bill for our drinks and left. My father actually left a $10 tip on the $50 bill. (4 beers and two bottles of water that were already on the table and we did not ask for). The worst part of it was that the chef (Tony) said at the end that he doesnt think he did not do anything wrong. We kept our composure and did not want to put the chef down. We will not be back.
Wonderful Italian cuisine, served up by the chef/owner Tony. Best pizza in Bolton.Authentic. Want a cheap meal of industrial chop, go somewhere else.
The Owner/Chef extraordinaire Tony and his server Rob were phenomenal! I have never been to a restaurant where the chef comes out to tell you the specials and sit with you. It was such a nice touch. And the food...OMG unbelievable! Thank you Tony and Rob. We found our forever place!
Great food. Great service.
Very disappointing ... we ordered a take away to help support a local establishment. Not only were the average ! dinners incredibly overpriced, the presentation was non existent. We have been regular customers for more than a decade. It s hurtful to think that the owner, Tony is gouging clients during this pandemic when their customers are offering support. We will not be returning, never mind hosting friends & family there.
Amazing Food and Great Service
Delicious food and friendly service! The food was hot, the flavor was good and and takeout process was easy.
Food was very good well over priced They kept bringing us bottled water that we thought was complimentary like most restaurants. We were a group of 10 and were charge $65.00 for 10 bottles of water .To top it off they made only one bill leaving us to divid it at the end of the evening. And we know thats always fun would not recommended this place at all.
Really great! Friendly staff.
We had a wonderful experience at Allegro recently. Service was absolutely great! The food is just always outstanding! Top notch food and a great atmosphere. They have a beautiful deck to enjoy during the warmer months as well. Highly recommend.
Came here for an anniversary dinner last night and this place exceeded expectations! The gnocchi was melt in your mouth, and the ravioli was amazing. Service was fantastic, the staff made us feel so welcome. Perfect spot for a celebration dinner! We will be back for sure.
Delicious food and great service.
An amazing traditional italian cuisine worth every penny. Personal are amazing, friendly and professional. Look forward to many more lunch and dinners!
Absolutely spectacular and I m a picky eater! Salmon was melt in your mouth and grilled vegetables tasted like vegetables!
Amazing food. Best grilles calamari
My first time here and the food is phenomenal, next level cuisine and the chef is very gifted in his craft! Superb service makes you not want to leave and enjoy the fine dining experience. A must try restaurant, has all the right elements!
Amazing food. Awesome chef. Loved everything about the restaurant.
The food was immaculate. Tony, the owner, was literally the chef, the waiter, the host, and everything you can think of. He even accommodated us with things that werent on the menu. This is my new favorite place to eat in Bolton, if not Canada overall.
Absolutely skip this place. Underwhelming food, over salted, poor quality. Overpriced and sneaky service. Watch out for 7$ bottled water without asking for it as well. Stay home, or go somewhere else.
We stopped in from out town as we were looking for a hidden Bolton Gem. We did not want fast food or something you could find just anywhere. Boy did we find just what we were looking for and then some. The chef was amazing and we had a view of his kitchen while he worked. So we got dinner and a show! Ordered the Bruchetta, Cesar Salad, the Seafood Risotto, a Ravioli in a Spicy Rosé and a Calzone. And shared bites of everything between us. We are hard pressed to pick a favorite. And we topped it all off with Lemon Sorbet and Pistachio Almond Ice Cream. If you ever get a chance to go there, it is an experience to not be forgotten. The chef and waitress welcome you, just like you are family and you feel like you took a little trip to Italy. It s definitely worth the drive to Bolton. And we can t wait to go back once the beautiful patio is open for the season.
Foods very good staff is very friendly great atmosphere lot of good options on the menu highly recommended to get dessert as well located in a quiet corner you ll really enjoy your visit here a definite must to go here the Ravioli is amazing and probably the best pizza ever had
Great place for a dinner night out, service was excellent, the chef took his time and also spent time with us to get our feedback, highly reccomend.
Had my birthday dinner here with my girlfriends. The food was phenomenal!! Wine selection was great. Service was also great. The chef was really friendly and also asked for our feedback. Highly recommend - great place for a night out.
Had worst experience with this particular Restaurant. We went to local businesses to support in this covid crises . The way owner : chef approached towards us was unprofessional and completely unacceptable . Thos was out first experience this beautiful multicultural country Canada . I swear to god Being an entrepreneur myself was not expecting this rude biased and racial experience from a local restaurant. Today visit was the most racial discrimination and disgusting me and my friends ever faced . Firsty we were given wrong drinks order and lter when we politely told them the owner / chef snapped on us . Despite of this behaviour we paid your good tip not because the services or experience was good indeed what to lead bu good example to your employees
The owner of this place doesn t know what customer service is. My family had the worst experience today. The owner literally yelled at us for no reason. Our server got us wrong drinks and when the owner came to take food order, we told him about drinks and he started yelling and being abusive. Most unpleasant dining experience ever.
Nice patio, very good dining however wine list desperately needs more variety and a makeover.
Always amazing food, great atmosphere, great service!
Absolutely amazing. Service was perfect. The waitress was very kind and attentive. The chef came out to check on how the food was. The food was so good. I cant wait to visit again. The patio was well laid out for distancing measures.
This is definitely not a fine dine. Bad customer service. Dont waste your time and money on this place.
Very dissatisfied and disappointed Service was fair. Prices we very over priced Waited for our food for 55 minutes Pasta was ok... ordered pizza and the dough was undercooked. Won t be back!
GREAT
Fabulous restaurant and service
Awesome personal service. Tony is very likeable
Great food, great service, awesome atmosphere and friendly staff
Best ravioli pasta
I will write this 5 star review for the event we just had there on the patio, owner/chef was sociable and went out of his way to make sure that everything was ok. Now we ate off a prefixed menue and everything we had was great and was authentic homeland taste, I will be going back to dine in at a later date as i would like to try more options to see if my raiting stays at 5 star.
I loved this place, service was amazing and the Chef was very nice to us and I just can explain how tasty the food was. We will be coming back for sure
Great food and great service.
Incredible patio outside under the trees. Cozy small place with only maybe 8-10 tables so a great place to take your first date. Fine dining atmosphere
Great food , great atmosphere!
This is by far the best dining experience one can have, whether in Bolton or anywhere else. The food is always fresh and absolutely delicious with truly unique menu offerings. I have been returning to Allegro for over 20 years with friends and family, and I always look forward to my next visit. The servers and owner Tony are affable hosts and will always make you feel comfortable and at home. I recommend Allegro to you with strong conviction.
Excellent food made with care and fine ingredients. Tony, the proprietor, was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our meal and his personal attention left us feeling warm on a cold winter night.
Food is really good. Make a reservation. Service slow tonight .... I was told 2 ppl did not show up for work. 40 mins or so wait or so btw appetizer and main. No water was offered. Put some curtains on the side windows. We had some of our party eating with coats on. Love these small business places for an intimate quality experience but u can tell some love is lost here. Decor is dated and tired.
We dropped in last night while visiting from out of town. My mum had recommended it, although she hadnt been for years after moving away. The wonderful, warm service by the owner/chef Tony, as well as the delicious, authentic Italian food was just as shed remembered. Having grown up eating Italian home-cooked meals, I look for fresh ingredients prepared with authentic flavours. I can promise that a true test of an Italian restaurant is the lightness of the gnocchi and Allegro hits it out of the park! Another nice touch was that Tony was able and willing to make me a pasta dish that I love that wasnt on the menu. A true sign of someone who cares about his customer. If youre tired of the mainstream chain-type places and are looking for a special place to get really good quality food with fresh, tasty ingredients, I highly recommend Allegro Fine Dine.
The owner and staff of Allegros went above and beyond tonight for our fundraising dinner. The food was amazing as usual, atmosphere is great. Definitely worth checking out this place
Loved it. Cozy atmosphere amazing food and great service! Will come back for sure.
I will never come come back to that restaurant again. Food was overpriced and quality of food was not the best.
Actual Garbage. Everything was very unprofessional. Ive been a chef for years and from my standing and all the dishes where thrown together. Service was pushy and would not let us pack our own meal up. We had 3 servers over 30 minutes. For God sakes grow up and get some tastebuds. Save yourself and go somewhere else.
It is a little gem nestled in Bolton. The people are very kind and helpful. The food was well prepared and cooked very well, lots of flavour. Definitely go again and add it to my list of favorite restaurants. If you are a foodie and are looking for good quality, this hits the spot.
We had our mothers day dinner there. Foid and service was spectacular
We had a wonderful dinner here! Great service and fabulous food.
A very cozy place. Fantastic starters. Pizza was average. The other entrees looked really good.
Chef Tony did my daughters rehearsal diner and he was awesome! The appetizers were delicious, pizzas and pasta spectacular and service was perfect!
Great patio and good food but a bit pricey. It was pretty much completely empty when I went on Saturday for dinner. We sat outside on the beautiful patio, had an arugula salad and burata to start, and ordered the striploin and penne. The appetizers were great, and the striploin was very tasty but overcooked a bit for my liking. The penne was nothing special; not bad but didnt blow me away. Service wise, it was lovely. The server was professional, helpful, and swift. Id say overall its a bit overpriced and I wish they had more options for wine by the glass, but we quite enjoyed our dinner at Allegro.
If there was a zero or negative star star option, I would have used that instead. Issues were the following: 1. Our server offered us water, but then took forever to come back to take drink orders. 2. Server did not know what types of alcohol they had (barrail, top shelf). 3. When I asked for flat water, the server asked if she could also bring sparkling water. She didnt mention that they were $6.50 per bottle. 4. The food took forever to be served. Like 40 minutes. And it wasnt the main dinner rush. We arrived at 8pm. 5. The penne toscana was ordered by 3 people of our table of 7. We were lucky to get 2 tiny pieces of chicken, a couple of sundried tomatoes (literally, a couple), and approximately 4 olives. Two of us got 1 artichoke. 6. The steak and veal dishes ($44 apiece) were served without any sides. No veg, no starch. Finally, they brought about 10 penne on separate dishes (assuming it was the leftover penne we had because it was the same sauce). One was supposed to be marinara. 7. Nobody came to see if everything was okay with our meal. 8. Server offered to bring us more bread; she never came back. 9. One of us ordered a second drink, which never came. 10. The man (I can only assume he was the maître d) didnt know how to serve and clear plates. He actually reached over us to take things away. 11. After our table had been cleared and we were sitting around obviously wanting to leave, our server decided to prepare other tables rather than bring our bills. 12. Upon asking for our bills, (notice I used the plural) she returned with a single bill. 13. When asked to split the bill, the server complained that it would be complicated. For what we paid, this experience was an insult to fine dining. They should remove that tagline from their business name.
Allegro restaurant is situated in the heart of down town Bolton. An area with rich history, and preserved buildings. It is warm , comfortable , and filled with character. It is my favorite hangout place especially for dinner. As you step your foot into the restaurant, you are welcomed by the magnificent simple setting and warm welcome by staff, Tony Viola and his lovely daughter. Every table gives you a clear view of chef Tony Viola working his talent in the kitchen. Those, with no prior reservation, are welcomed to wait in the lounge. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouth-watering starters followed by the main course. Simple and delicious items on menu, each cooked just like the old Italian way. All the cuisines were fresh and tasty. Chef Tony gives a home-made feeling using the best quality ingredients. The restaurant also offers various types of drinks, they serve great wines in the region. The drinks are pricey but surely worth trying. The service was of very high quality. Tony, the owner is full of warmth and thoughtful of his guests. He is always around ready to hear all types of experiences from you and the rest of the guests. Because of the brilliant atmosphere and delicious food service, I highly recommend going to Allegro Fine Dine Restaurant. I have been coming here for years and there is no other place I would rather eat. I celebrated my 60th Birthday with my family at your restaurant, with you Tony and your lovely daughter . I thank you for the delicious food and hospitality. Thank you and best wishes, Joseph and Gina, Robert ,Alessandra
Nice cozy spot for Italian food
The food was really good. Its a little expensive so be prepared when you visit allegro. But the experience was nice.
First time visiting this place not sure we will return. Waitress was very pleasent and apologetic about the Grilled calamari. It was rubbery and sitting in a puddle of tomato sauce. Pizza was decent but far from good or best. Much better places to spend your money on.
Fantastic. I ordered the wrong sauce but the chef came out and made it right. Will be back.
Truly considered Boltons hidden gem! As soon as we walked in we were captivated by the cozy feel and comfortable ambience. The owners and staff are so friendly and cordial, and the food is fantastic...every bite is a delectable pleasure!!! My advice? Dont think twice. Make reservations for dinner and enjoy!
Started yelling at me inside the restaurant and cursing me with racist slurs . Beware of this restaurant . Thinking about suing him after he touched my wife inappropriately. Truck stop quality food .!!
Tony was fantastic the food excellent we will be back and sooon
What an amazing dinner we had at Allegros, my family enjoyed and savoured every moment, the food was amazing and Tony was such an awesome chef. After dinner he offered us a spectacular cocktail complimentary. What a wonderful experience, I would recommend Allegros to anyone that enjoys quality dinning without being in a hurry, enjoying every moment. Thanks Allegros, Tony and Staff George snd Tundi and family
Allegro Fine Foods Inc. is one of my favourite places to dine and a MUST TRY for sure if you enjoy Italian cuisine! The owner Tony is professional and extremely hospitable. I love the ambience of the place with its murals and vintage decor. It is clean and most importantly the food is DELICIOUS!
I ve been to Allegro restaurant in Bolton numerous times, enjoyed wonderful dinners! Tony, Franca and the staff are exceptional hosts. I would highly recommend for anyone who would like to savour an amazing dinner! My favourite place :)
Mine and my boyfriend Clintons favourite place. He drives over 45 minutes to enjoy the food at Allegro. We love the pizza and calamari and if its not on the menu, Tony takes pride in making us anything we want and its so delicious!!!! Love This place
When Im in Canada I always come back to this wonderful place. Honestly this is my favourite restaurant. The quality of the food is extraordinary and the service I get is always friendly. Im always eager to get back as soon as I can. :)
Great atmosphere and food.
We just had the absolute best Bolognese and Fettuccini Linguini we have ever had, hands down! This was a take-out order that was ready in about 20 minutes. The customer service was absolutely fantastic and all we got were smiles from the moment we stepped in! We have lived in Tottenham for over 25 years and this was the first time we ordered food from Allegro. Absolutely fantastic! Keep up the great work :-)
Gnocchi is to die for! Absolutely amazing!
Best gnnochi Ive had in my life! This restaurant also had excellent service and a cozy vibe. Ill drive back from Mississauga to eat their gnnochi anytime!
OUTSTANDING service and food!!! Tony the owner made our daughter communion experience very special. Every detail of our event was perfectly planned by the restaurant. The food was delicious the presentation was very nice and the staff was very friendly. For sure we will plan our next event or night out there. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant!!!
This is a great place to go fine dining and do not let anyone else tell you other wise. You pay for quality and great service. If you would really like to impress someone this is the place to go. My family, friends and myself have been going there for many years and we recomend this place hands down.
Amazing food and staff. Thanks Tony and Franca for the great food!!
Fantastic dining experience. Some of the best examples of Italian food we have ever tasted. We have attended this family owned and run restaurant for over 15 years and have never had a bad experience.
My husband and I went to Allegro today after wanting to try it for a year!! We were blown away with the gnocchi in a ricotta and spinach sauce. They just melted in our mouths. I would go back to eat them over and over again. My husband got the chicken with mushrooms and told the server he had a wine allergy and the chef was totally accommodating and made it sans wine. We were thrilled with our meals and the hospitality of the owner Tony. A thumbs up! We will be repeat customers!!!
This place is amazing! I cant imagine why someone would give this place a one star rating? Maybe so others dont discover this place? I considered not writing a review to keep Allegro our little hidden gem.
Great spot. Love the atmosphere and watching your food prepared right there. Authentic Italian all the way. Amazing chef direct from Italy. Large portions with quality. They treat you like family, if you like your family, ;). Recommend it, they can customize beyond what is what is on the menu, just ask.
Visited for a communion and it was nothing short of fantastic and authentic Italian. Employees were extremely professional. Just go!
Only the very best!
Had the pleasure of hosting an event at Allegro for a large group of people. Tony and his team were great making sure our guests were taken care of and the food was awesome. The outdoor patio is just perfect on a summer evening! Thanks Tony.
I was at my aunt bbd there n the food , hospitality n owners r superb
Outstanding pizza and friendly atmosphere. Definitely would recommend.
Unbelieveable experience. We went on a date on friday night @ 7:30pm for dinner. After waiting we were told a party has come in on the patio so the kitchen must concentrate on them so they were not going to seat anyone else. Never in all my years have i ever being turned away from a restaurant. As for a small bussiness suporter, they have lost ours & freiends bussiness.
What a joke of a restaurant. Menu button on their website to download the pdf doesnt actucally work! Food quality is mediocre at best. Owner files police reports, wasting the time of the Ontario Provincial Police, over bad reviews. Its almost comical that the owner believes the OPP will investigate or take any action. Dont waste your time giving business to this establishment.
The food at Allegro was delicious but we were not happy with the service. We visited the restaurant on a Friday night and it took about an hour to get served. I was really unhappy with the price of the water they put on the table without disclosing there would be a$7 charge per bottle.
Great food and service
Had great dinner my cousin is chef excellent night
I have lived and worked in Bolton for over 20 years and have dined at Allegros many, many times either with my wife or with work colleagues/functions as I work for one of the larger employers in town. The food has always been good, the service inconsistent but typically not an issue. What prompted the poor rating was my last meal with my wife a couple of days ago I noticed a $6.50 charge for water we never asked for, nor were made aware of. Now perhaps I have been paying this charge on all my previous visits and never noticed, but I did now. It s not the amount of money, but the dishonesty of charging for something not asked for. I will not be returning, nor will I recommend it as a place to go with colleagues. I hope the $6.50 was worth it to you Tony.
I recently celebrated a birthday with my family at Allegro. The owner Tony and his staff went out of their way to make it a special occasion. The food and the atmosphere were incredible. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommended.
Great place to eat. Friendly staff.
Gnocchi as delicious as it was 17 years ago. It is never quick service and you should come with time to enjoy as the chef prepares the food for each table.
Good food, nice ambiance
I was visiting family and I am from Montreal. I was absolutely amazed by the quality and originality of the high quality Italian food. I can vouch with all sincerity as to the incredible meal that we had. Tony Viola is a real artist. Thank you for making this an incredible culinary experience that I will never forget. Grazie Tony e complimenti!
Nice atmosphere and courteous staff. Food is good too. A bit pricey for the portion size though.
I loved this place soooooooo much. Hope you enjoy it
My experience was enjoyable up until the end. When we got the bill it showed that the water that we didnt even ask for was $6.50. When we questioned as to why the waiter did not alert us of the price before serving, he was EXTREMELY condescending and rude ruining the whole experience. WILL NOT be dining here again.
Outstanding Classic Italian food . I travel 45 min for authentic cuisine. Cant find better pizza or pasta even in Italy
Over priced. wont eat here again. The owner was pretty rude to too.
We got married here two years ago and they treated us like royalty. We just returned for the first time after having our daughter for our anniversary and the food was absolutely amazing the service was phenomenal!!! we love it!!!
Always Great good Great service keep up ghe good Work Tony and staff.....calamari diavoli and a word oven pizza....
I have had the pleasure of dining at Allegros a few times while growing up in Bolton, and always remembered the food to be great. Just came back from a work function tonight and was throughly impressed with the food and excellent service by all staff. Im rather confused by the other reviews as the owner Tony was accommodating, friendly and ensured to check in that we were all enjoying our meals several times. Thank you Allegros for the great holiday party.
If you are brave enough to try this restaurant, be very careful with the bill. I recommend writing prices down and being very clear about costs of items, including the free bottled water on the table.
Just as you sit down and the waitress puts the menus in front of you, she will open a $7 bottle of water without any mention that there is a charge for it. You assume it is the water for the table but there will be a charge on your bill at the end. Upon questioning, they will rebuttal with Well you drank the water, right?. Scammish way to run a business if you ask me.
Fantastic food and great service! I was impressed and will definitely be returning!
Simply put, awful experience! This is a restaurant that my guests and I will never return to. I couldnt possibly have anything nice to say about this restaurant. Three of my guests received their meals 40 minutes after everyone else had already been served and as a result they had to eat alone. Two of those meals were pizza, which should be quick. The owner Tony, was unwilling to be understanding in any way when we mentioned this to him, worst owner I have ever met. If you want customers to return to your restaurant and you make an honest mistake with the orders that causes some of them to be late then you should apologize to them. Instead, Tony began to yell at me stating that he was being mistreated simply because I had mentioned that three of our meals were 40 minutes late. On top of all of this, we were charged a $25 cake cutting fee for a cake that we brought, cut, and served ourselves!!! I am in disbelief that a restaurant owner would yell at customers the way that he did and cares so little about his business. When I told him he would not be in business for very long if he continues to treat customers this way, his response was good, I rather lock the doors. Complete jerk and do not recommend Allegro restaurant in Bolton to ANYONE!
excellent food and service.
