Fratelli Molinaro Ristorante-Pizzeria in Bolton

I ve been coming to Fratelli molinaro since it opened. The food,atmosphere, and service is 10/10 !! The best Italian restaurant I ve been to. I highly recommend going !!

Great Italian restaurant in downtown Bolton. Just passing through and decided to stop here for dinner. The warm olives and bruschetta were very fresh and tasty. The 14oz steak was superb, prepared exactly as ordered and very filling. For dessert, the pistachio cheesecake and cappuccino were delicious. Highly reccommended. This place is a keeper. Bravo! Parking: 3 hrs free, right in front of the resto.

My 3 buddies and I were in the Bolton area for an annual reunion and golf. Weve never been to Fratelli Molinaro Ristorante, but decided to order take-out from here. It was excellent to say the least! Very flavourful and authentic. Calamari were very tasty and tender. Salads were fresh. Pizza was delicious. The 2 pastas (bolognese and mezzelune ai funghi) were just like nonna makes!! Id go back ANY DAY! Grazie and bravi!! Luigi

Amazing food, loved the charcuretie and pasta

Food was disappointing. The pasta was over saturated with sauce that didn t taste authentic. Service was friendly but we needed to ask several times for basic items such as water refills, proper utensils, cheese and bill.

Ciao! I visited Fratelli Molinaro last night before heading back to Germany. The restaurant is small, but this adds to the charm. Food was amazing! Best of all we werent rushed to pay the bill afterwards. This is probably the best Italian restaurant Ive found in Canada. Grazie Dominik

Great food service and atmosphere

Overall good. We had high expectations from this place. Being Italian we were expecting an authentic Italian experience but it was far from that. We ordered an antipasto platter with salami and variety of cheese, but it came with no bread. This is a big deal as an Italian not to have bread on the table with an antipasto platter. We asked for bread twice and when it finally came we were almost done our antipasto, that was kind of annoying. We were also charged $5 for bread. No water was offered. No plates of the day were presented to us either, while we heard another server mentioning it to another table. Pizza was good, nothing exceptional or that we haven t found in other Italian restaurants.

Id like to start off saying that the staff was incredible. Our server (young lady) was very friendly and attentive to our table. We ordered 2 steaks and they were so tiny. The pizza was way too thin and ended up being soggy at the bottom. Overall a beautiful place and I really wanted to be overwhelmed, but I was not.

Im shocked that this is a wood oven. The pizza was a train wreck. The dough had no salt, the toppings were like eating road salt. It was the saltiest pizza Ive ever had and this is coming from someone who usually takes his pizza with anchovy. Not good.

Amazing food and experience

First time we went, for was great, service slow. Lunch Second time we went, it was all great. Lunch This time we went for dinner, service was fast because they want you out within 1.5 hours, but the pizza had NO taste at all!..bland. We told the waitress, but nothing came of it. We had to ask for salt and hot oil to give it taste... 2 drinks 2 pizzas and $90 for bland rushed dinner.

I do hope this restaurant becomes a staple. The Waiters were amazing however the service was slow we werent served bread but all in all great comfort rustic food and will be returning back. However, i have to knock it down to 4 star due to the service of the waiter.

Recently had my engagement party at Fratelli Molinaros this past Sunday & it was fantastic. From the food-to the staff-to the atmosphere everything was amazing. The calamari was a hit for everyone, it was lightly fried & the prefect texture. The fresh wood oven pizza is so delicious! The two ladies who were serving us were patient, kind, & wonderful & Antonio (who is one of the owners) was very accommodating & professional. My fiancé & I look forward to coming back! Thank you.

Never been to a restaurant before where when your seated the table server lets you know you have a time limit, because the table is reserved again in an hour or so, We understood this was a trained message from the owner, our server was very nice, the table next to us was addressed the same way when seated, certainly a new business owner, our pizza was under cooked to boot.

Went for lunch today, on a Friday. I ve been wanting to go to this place for so long and it was absolutely worth it. I know the nights are really busy so if you can get away for a lunch, you won t regret it.

A handful of tables open but we were seated beside the kitchen and the waiters stand. Immediately told us of a time limit on the table. Pizza was tasteless and Soggy. Server was excellent! Save your time and money and go to the new pizza ville

Over all good, great customer service with smiles. Being Italian very rare we dine at an Italian restaurant. Valentines dinner, Calamari fritti was delicious cooked perfect. We were given complimentary mimosas drinks also complimentary mini antipasto, toasted bread drizzled with a beautiful tasty olive oil, served cherry tomatoes and boccocini on a skewer resting on a light bed of arugala. I had the house special gnocchi with pesto and shrimps and my husband had spaghetti alarrrabbiata with shrimps. The past could have been cook a little bit more. Or else not bad at all. Would return for another visit and try something different.

Had an amazing experience tonight at Fratelli Molinaro. We made reservations and week ago and mentioned we had a toddler with us. Upon arriving, our table was ready and a highchair was already there. Our waitress was very pleasant, knowledgable, and gave us amazing customer service. She was very understanding when I asked to order my toddlers dinner first since kids can get hungry on demand. Lots of good options on the menu for everyone. They had 3 specials tonight and my family tried all three. The food came out super fast and was absolutely amazing. Every dish tasted wonderful, fresh, and generous portion size. Pasta was made in house and you could tell. My family ordered appetizers, mains (pastas and pizzas), and dessert, start to finish, everything tasted really good and was very impressive. We will definitely return again and order for take out during the week. I highly recommend you give this place a try! Kid-friendliness: Very accomodating and had high chairs

Excellent Italian restaurant at the 4 corners in Bolton. Food and service were fantastic and the portions were very generous. The only small complaint I had was the music playing in the dining room was extremely loud.

Its always a nice place to enjoy an evening out. But, its a little disappointing to hear that you only half 1.5 hours for dinner and then theres another seating.( before you order anything.) I think that it should be indicated before you book the reservation.

Amazing food! Beautifully presented & so tasty. We made reservations for 3 adults and 1 child. Everything was great. The staff is very friendly, efficient and accommodating. This is our second time at Molinaro and we will be returning and bringing friends. Great dining experience. Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating to young kids. Our 2-1/2. year old grand daughter loved the spaghetti which they brought out quickly for her. She couldn t wait! We each ordered different meals & appetizers and shared them so we could all taste. Awesome.

This was our first visit. The food was delicious! We had a calamari stater and shared a mushroom pasta dish and one of the mushroom pizza favorites. They did not disappoint! The service was excellent. Our only challenge was the loud echo of people talking. It was really hard to hear each other over this echo of voices.

For a restaurant to charge prices like this in the town of Bolton is mind blowing. We are not in Toronto. Calamari should not be $26 dollars. Burrata served with no bread .. The pizza dough was good other than that extremely pricey with limited service.

Great place! My main statement I would say beside the food is that you don t feel like you are in Bolton! Which if ur a local you will know what I mean. It felt as if we were in a restaurant in Toronto. Great atmosphere. We Went for a friends birthday. From reading other comments I can agree we weren t offered water which I only realized after the fact which I think is a bit odd but no one at our table was in need of water or we would of asked. The drinks were great and you were getting your moneys worth for each drink! All the food looked amazing I got the Gnocchi which was fantastic. For desert I got the pistachio cheesecake which I was pleasantly surprised with. I was scared that it would be overly filling after my big meal but it was light, creamy and tasteful!

Fantastic Italian spot, so much better than all the boring generic franchise places around. The food came out fast and was delicious. The crust on the pizza was cooked perfectly and the ingredients tasted very fresh. I also liked the decor, looks well kept and very clean. I would highly recommend this place and I ll be back! Also the reviews on here saying how it s too expensive & downtown Toronto prices , they obviously don t leave Bolton much and need to get out more because this is not overpriced for what it is. Downtown is much much more expensive. Great value for the great service and food.

Walked in to have an early dinner (5pm)...restaurant was not full plenty of tables to be seated at. At first I was asked if I had reservations... I didnt... girl at front said okay but youd have be out for the next reservation in hour... I said that is fine... as we were being seated a man at the bar starts indicating to the girl no that we couldnt be seated.. ( assuming that was the owner) He didnt care that his gestures were seen, I turned around and left....all that being said I will not attempt to go back.... They should take some kind of customer service course.

Way overpriced for portions served. This is not Toronto. Read other reviews and agree. No bread or charge for bread is so not italian. Being told we have 1.5 hours is an insult. Never going back. Period

Food is unreal!

I was very happy with my experience. My only gripe was I wish bread was served at the table so I could soak up the tasty sauce. The restaurant business is tough especially in Bolton so I dont blame them. Prices were fair, service was good, and food was delicious will be coming back.

TL;DR: take your business elsewhere. This place purports to be a nice cozy Italian restaurant. The dishes have Italian names, for sure! Service was not too bad, but not really good either, thats probably why they include 18% tip without asking you, they know you wont pay 18% on your own accord for this, no way. Food was horrible. Prices even horribler, too high for this quality. The special was risotto with shrimp. The server forgot to mention the price for the special was $32!!! Whats worse, no one told the cook risotto is NOT rice porridge, but an elaborate and complex dish. They served rice porridge with citrus zest and a few shrimps. Pizza dough was ok, but not the pizza itself. The soggy crust was dangling and flopping around. Wet sad misery! Calamari fritti was good, the only dish cooked properly. Do not waste your time and money, go to a proper Italian restaurant.

This is my wife and I go to spot we eat here at least once a week Antonio is like family to us. The food and staff are wonderful. Iv been to many restaurants and Ill put this up there with most of them.

My hubs and I come here often, its our go to dinner place. Atmosphere and service is exceptional!!! The food, regardless what you order, is fresh, great presentation and amazing flavour!!! Highly recommend risotto with shrimp, or lobster spaghetti special!!! Antonio and his staff go above and beyond every time!!! :)

I decided to stop by this place as I was told it has one of the best pizza in Bolton. It was absolutely amazing. The tiramisù was good as well.. very friendly owners as they offered us an espresso while we waited. A nice restaurant will return one day...

For the first time, my wife finished her meal before me, because I wanted to enjoy every bite of pizza. I tried some of her stuffed pasta with mushroom cream sauce .. honestly the best Italian food I ve ever had. Let me just qualify this by saying I grew up In little Italy and have had Italian in hundreds and hundreds of restaurants, from fancy 5 star places to little trattorias, where someone s Nona is in the back with a big pot of sauce. This was next level. Sorry for the long review, but it was that good. I m slowly going to make it though that whole menu. As a former restauranteur, if you re the owner and you re reading this, you should be super proud of your place.

Phenomenal!!! Italian cuisine experience at is best! Everything is freshly made in the restaurant! The seasoning, sauce is perfectly balanced. Great atmosphere, staff is friendly and service is fast! Starting with refreshing cosmopolitan cocktail! We had 3 course meal, starting with fried calamari ( the best I had) followed by pizza Americana and a seafood pasta gnocchi allo scoglio. Finishing with a sweet treat a creme brûlée. There s also a wide variety of wines. Overall great satisfaction, they deserve every single star

Best restaurant in Bolton!

Had a delicious dinner here tonight! Everything was exceptional, from service to food! We ordered the fried calamari to start which was amazing, the perfect amount of batter and a huge portion of calamari! The best i ve had in awhile! We ordered pasta dishes as an entree, which were beyond delicious and cooked to perfection which doesn t happen often at other restaurants! Dessert was amazing as well, and many options to choose from! We will definitely be back with family and friends!

I normally don t do reviews especially if I don t have much good to say and I have held off for many months to say anything but hearing many friends with similar experiences I feel I had to say something. I won t go into detail about our horrible experience but I will say the owner is a complete J&$!. In fact he threw his Excellent bartender under the bus for something we knew he did (if not for the bartender we would have walked out , he actually looked embarrassed by the owners awful customer service) As paying customers that love to go out (our bill was close to $500 for 2 people) and could have been weekly regulars there they permanently lost our business. You will only get treated with respect if you are personal friends of the owners. Having been in the restaurant business in downtown Toronto for close to 20years, this would not have been tolerated. My advice . learn how to treat ALL your customers with the same courtesy and respect.

We enjoyed an authentic, delicious meal at Fratelli Molinaro yesterday. The restaurant itself is charming and inviting with beautiful tributes to Italy in pictures and in music. The owners and staff were warm and welcoming, and of course the food is amazing. The calamari and homemade pasta dishes were perfectly cooked, but the showstopper was the wood oven pizza. The best dough Ive had in any restaurant. I look forward to eating here again!

The best italian food in canada, i dine there every friday night, the best seafood dish is the zuppa di pesce, along with other types of pasta dishes.

Went there tonight and had an amazing experience. We tried their specials for the day and it was excellent. Vegetarian options: Saw many vegetarian options on the menu and they even had a vegetarian meal in their specials for the day. Parking: Street parking is available but also lots of available parking in downtown Bolton.

Fresh and delicious food. The quality of ingredients used in the food is excellent! I have travelled around the world and have tried food everywhere . this place is up there as one of the best. The restaurant is clean, offers good service and is in a good location.

Ive been twice to Fratelli Molinaro, both lunch and dinner were wonderful experiences. Each time I was extremely impressed with the food and service. Authentic, fresh and delicious dishes. House made pasta is amazing. And TIRAMISU is a must! Quickly becoming the best Italian in the GTA !

Was going to give it a 4. Reason is, we walked in and someone pointed to our table, found that somewhat off-putting. Nobody told us about the specials, ordered pasta, no cheese or pepper offered. But then the food came out. No word of a lie, the food is beyond top shelf. Like freakin amazing. Im Italian. Raised VERY Italian, I know Italian food. I was incredibly pleased. Service staff rotates, maybe I was in on a bad night, maybe someone had a bad day who knows. The 5 star rating is warranted as the food is incredible. Only suggestion I would make is a more extensive wine list. If youre in Bolton or nearby go here, trust me, you wont regret it.

Had an excellent first experience, and heading back there again. We had wonderful service, tasty food, and a great atmosphere. I had the special - a tuna steak - and it was done perfectly. We also had a pizza and it was delicious. Overall a great experience - well done and congratulations to the owners and staff.

Pizza was fantastic. I was really pressed to say something about the price of the calamari, but to be fair had to try it first... quality 100% This isnt a Bolton gem- its a beautiful place that Im glad to have in Torontos outskirts. No doubt theyll thrive.

Good Food but service was terrible, literally the worst I had around the world. The waiter Antonio served us with a bad attitude throughout the meal and when I refused to pay the 18% gratuity due to his attitude he started arguing with us in the middle of a full restaurant, saying that we were rude to him.

Had dinner with my girlfriend last night. We had calamari which is the beat ive ever had! Then we shared a pizza and pasta! Topped it off with tiramisu! WOW! And thank you to our server Antonio who was quick and on the ball!

What an absolutely great experience I had here. The food was out of this world delicious, so fresh and tasty. The portions were generous and I left very full. After the meal I was served one of the best espressos Ive ever had. I also had the pleasure of meeting both brothers who were so pleasant and welcoming. As a bonus this place is so clean, even the bathroom was spotless. So impressed, this is one of the best experiences Ive had at a restaurant.

Was staying overnight nearby and walked in without a reservation. The restaurant was packed but the owner sat us after letting us know our table had been reserved for a time later that evening. We promised to eat quickly and leave. The calamari, mussels and foccacia were delicious. We ordered pizza and branzino for our main courses and both were perfectly prepared and tasty. The hot pepper oil added a little spice to the pizza. The owner stopped by part way through our meal and told us to take our time as the later reservation had cancelled. We chatted a while and learned about the restaurant, and the pizzaolo who was born and raised in Italy and who learned his craft there. His skill showed in the pizza dough which was light and airy. The pizza was cooked perfectly with ideal leoparding. All in all we had a nice evening and great meal. If we didn t live 300 miles away in another country we would definitely be regulars there.

This is a spot where you can enjoy fresh, authentic Italian food! Each time weve gone, the food has been absolutely delicious and the overall experience (service, atmosphere, drinks etc) is wonderful. We will be back! Thank you again!

Amazing restaurant! Food is always delicious whether I go for lunch sit at the bar or dinner! The daily specials are always interesting and very creative and the menu itself offers so many different options. I love ordering takeout even though I live 15-20 mins away it s still delicious by the time I get home! So happy to have good authentic food in bolton :)

Went for dinner the steak was awful very fatty other people in my party had the pizza and said it was very good. The decor is very nice and the service was only average . It s more of a pasta and pizza place than a fine dining restaurant. Not sure I ll return.

This restaurant doesn t disappoint! Everything I have tried has been amazing. From the seafood, to the pasta, pizza and desserts! I highly recommend eating here!! Added some of mine and my friends meals!

Amazing food and service! We tried the pepperoni pizza and the shrimp pizza with zucchini and they were both delicious! The pepperoni looked and tasted fresh and the tiramisu was beautifully plated and delicious! We went there on Halloween so we got a cut off finger as well, the servers are super friendly and funny<3

So great! Staff was very accommodating as we were walk-ins, the atmosphere is very pretty with Italian vibes. We got mimosas and a pizza. The pizza was cooked so wonderfully and toppings were so great! I would highly recommend and come back for a big dinner.

Food and service was top-notch . We were able to pre-order on the phone as we had to leave within an hour - food came out fresh and warm the moment we sat down. The calamari dish satisfied my craving; so tender, lightly battered and salted, but would order again when we have more than 2 people. Insalata della Casa house dressing was too sweet for my liking. The dough of the calzone was fluffy with a nice chew and the truffle mushroom pasta was so delicious, generously topped with mushrooms. Its definitely not an everyday dine-in for us, but I look forward to coming back again for a special treat/occasion. A piece of advice: label the tea box ;) may save some time for customers to pick. Also, given the busy-ness of the holidays, more servers is needed, our server was actually the bartender on a Tuesday evening.

So many excellent reviews I had great expectations. Somewhat disappointed however. My friend and I had pizza. The bottom crust was very soggy and, in fact, seemed like there was no crust. We had to eat with a knife and fork. I love a thin crust, but it needs to have one & have some substance. This had none. The caprese salad was good. Drinks and cappuccino also. Atmosphere was good, although a bit loud, perhaps a table in a different section would be less so. Will give it another visit and try the pasta. Great to have another restaurant in downtown Bolton. Wishing them success.
