Swiss Chalet in Bolton

Hi Michelle and Kumar at Bolton Swiss Chalet. We were there December 19th with great friends before the Christmas holidays and also for my dads 89th birthday. We were shown to our table and promptly greeted by our server Kumar. Kumars happy disposition made us very comfortable. He was very informative about the menu and answered all of our questions without hesitation. Even though he was busy with other tables, he always made sure we were happy with everything at our table. My father was very surprised with his choice of any dessert on the menu for free for his birthday! He also enjoyed the servers singing him happy birthday! We all had a great time and I know that Kumar made our night exceptional! Thank you very much. You are a wonderful person!

Very friendly staff that made you feel at home and like family

Went through the drive through for the festive special, paid for it but when I got home there was nothing from the festive special in the box, no cranberry sauce or chocolates. Maybe the staff at the drive through should pay more attention to the order.

Ribs were delicious but the $30 full rack was supposed to come with coleslaw and I got chalet sauce instead, which I didn t need because I got a salad. That was disappointing, staff needs to pay attention to meal requirements.

Bolton Ontario is the best Swiss Chalet. The servers are fantastic at what they do and very pleasant. They are always checking to make sure your coffee cup is full. I usually get the quarter chicken meal and its always good and hot.

Bolton Location is by far the best I have been to by far.

Definitely a much better food experience when you eat in. The quality of the food for pickup or delivery is 100% different. And not due to travel and packaging. More care is put into the dine-in service. Someone should probably check on the robot, however. With all the songs about jail coming out of him, I m concerned.

Just came through the dive throw was not a good experience that was for sure if an employee can not handle it they should not be put on it told the girl waned a double leg with salad and started to say wanted a club wrap when the girl says just a moment and mic went quiet then the girl came back on and says so that s a quarter white with fries told her no figured she had gotten the double leg order all ready rang in so I tell her a club wrap dark with fries and no pickles got to the cash was told the total return got away I knew it was wrong so had to wait longer for the double leg dinner got home open my club wrap it was white meat when I wanted dark had 3 pickles when I said no pickles girl with the long black brace in her hair managers she is useless on drive threw can not handle the pressure remove her from this position before you end up with a lot more very upset customer this happened on Tuesday October 1 around 7:15 pm

Well it is thanksgiving and i have been waiting to have the special with the stuffing. Limited time i might add!! I am so extremely disappointed because I didnt even get the stuffing with my meal !!!!!! Never mind the tiny size that they give. The restaurant forgot to put it in the order . I cant believe it!!! Every time i order - there is a problem and they forget items but really this one takes the cake or should i say the stuffing!!! And the salads are also shrinking half a container- what is this??

Tonight I decided to go to Swiss Chalet with my husband and brother. First impression very clean place, got seated quickly. Ordered my food and it came very quickly. The food was amazing and delicious. I was introduced to our waitress Lucy. She was amazing and very on top of things. PS. The Molten Chocolate Cake and Ice Cream was to die for.

This review is directed/intended for the manger and crew working on Friday May 24th, 2024 evening/night shift (9:03pm) I ordered on Uber because my daughter and niece wanted the Pierogies from Swiss Chalet, and so i forced myself to get a few other things that i normally get from there. Uber came, kids excited, opened bag, NO PIEROGIES!!! My heart sank when i saw the look on their faces. I could have easily reported on uber and get a credit back but i know that wouldnt fix the problem. I decided to call the store (in my mind thinking the best they can do is ask for my info and offer a credit or whatever...) surprisingly my call was answered and directed to their manger on duty. he took my call, i express my concerns about how it was for the kids, he asked for my address and phone number... literally 17mins to be exact my door bell rang and there stood a delivery man with the pierogies. Kudos!!! I really appreciate it! I own a restaurant, i know how hectic Friday nights can be, things happen, no one is perfect. To the Franchisee/Owner for this Bolton location: Your staff deserves a bonus or a trip to Hawaii :)

I ordered the club wrap dark meat with fries via drive through on Tuesday April 2 around 230pm. I became very sick after with food poisoning. Please make sure you take the proper measures to ensure food safety. It made for a horrible drive home in which case I had to stop multiple times.

What else can I say? I went back to a Swiss chalet after 4 years and it was the same taste and smell and service. Very good and some new menu items.

We dine here often and love the new look and atmosphere. Food is great and affordable but we especially love the service. Luba has served us so many times that we often ask for her as she feels like family, so kind, attentive and always brings a huge smile. Thank you Luba!

First time at this location and it was spectacular! Chicken noodle soup 5/5. Bottomless drinks 5/5. Quarter chicken dinner 5/5. One of the most consistent restaurant chains. I wish I could bathe in Swiss Chalet sauce. Atmosphere was great and our server was extremely friendly.

Ordered 3 1/2 rib and chicken dinners. Ribs were overcooked and dry. Upgraded to sweet potato fries $ Barely half a box and very soggy. I ve ordered from here before and had a good experience but it seems like the quality has declined. I hope this changes I ll give them another try and make my decision on whether I ever eat there again at that time

The last 3 visits we have had the pleasure of being served by Lucy. She has to be the best server and she always serves us with a smile. We already know when we see her walking to our table that we are gonna have a great experience. I must also say that I have never been disappointed at this location. The chicken has to be the juciest and the food is always fresh. My wife and I come here with our 3 small children and they always finish all their food. Also the service is pretty quick in terms of wait times for food ,drinks and getting the bill.

We have been a loyal weekly customer of the Bolton Restaurant and will no longer be ordering from them. It seems that the manager is content with having their staff spend more time in idle banter, than providing average service and satisfactory experience to their clientele. Terrible service! The staff was rude, abrupt, and inattentive. We had to wait for ages to get our food, and when it finally arrived, it was cold, poorly cooked and wrong!. We were a big group. Kumar our server was wonderful. Fast and efficient he got every order right with a smile on his face. He was very understanding of the little kids and he just made the whole experience very enjoyable. Kid-friendliness: We were a big group and we had a little guy who put more on the floor than is his mouth and they were very kind and understanding to our situation.

Had lunch today at your location and my first impression was how nice and clean your place is!! After being seated by your hostess who was very helpful and happy to seat me . Then one of your waitresses named Lucy who was full of joy and a great attitude not just with myself but others whom she severed I was thankful to have been ready for next a great dining experience! I order the southwest sandwich with fries coffee and a glass of water which took all but 10 minutes and I was ready to enjoy such a very tasty lunch! And throughout my lunch Lucy was very kind to see to it if I was enjoying my meal and if she could get me anything else she was glad to serve! My meal was done I got my bill with a smile and a kind attitude and that s why I give your place a 5 star review! Thanks swill chalet for my lunch experience being so great!!

Great for takeout and especially for order-in. Nice staff, fast and pleasant. Best SC in area (Alliston consistently over salts/brines and serves dry food -- drive to Bolton is worth it). Welcomed in a large party (15 people) as we have in the past, and Kumar was excellent at addressing all individual needs throughout -- amazing when you consider all specialties! Garlic bread is truly amongst the *best* weve had anywhere. Fries are great -- and they now have a GlutenFree-devoted fryer, which is phenomenal. Chicken and ribs are sometimes a bit dry, but staff is responsive to issues. I count on this location and happy to draw attention to it!

Worst service ever! Placed an order online, picked up at the restaurant. An item was missing. Called the store 3 times!! No one answered. Called again to place another order and was placed on hold for over 30 minutes. After receiving much run around, the only thing available was to go back to the store to get my item. no compensation whatsoever was offered except for a coupon with purchase on a future order. Like that s ever going to happen again. If you re interested in eating a full meal and getting your moneys worth, stay away from this place. The owner s excuse was that they were short staffed and no one in Bolton wants to work. Seems like SHE doesn t know how to answer a phone!! TERRIBLE customer service. We have been customers since their opening and have had many issues over the past few years even prior to Covid so that s no excuse. Bye bye forever!!

Ordered 7 double leg festive dinners & I was overcharged almost $40 because the ditz at the counter punched in regular double leg dinners & charged me separately for the festive additions $5 each. I didn t realize until I looked at my receipt on my way home, I called the restaurant and they said they can t do anything for me. I decided to call Swiss Chalet Head Office & expressed my situation I was told I would receive a call back, never happened. Never coming back here again.

My server Michelle was polite, friendly, efficient and helpful. The food was delivered quickly, hot and tasty.

WORST SWISS CHALET EVER!.. First, my partner and I didn t receive our drinks until our meal came ( which was 30mins and the restaurant wasn t busy).. secondly our food was very disappointing. My ribs where burnt, my pop was flat, my boyfriends chicken wings where not fully cooked and his fries tasted stale. When we brought this attention to the supervisor he wasn t helpful at all. This location really went DOWN hill. So disappointed.

We visited, we were starving and in a hurry to get to Hamilton for a concert. Party of 4. John was fantastic! He was totally on point, had our order and needs in check, followed up and was taking care of business throughout the restaurant. We also had the pleasure of being served by Luba, she was just delightful. Excellent service and food, would highly recommend.

This is probably my second time going to the Swiss chalet so I went through the takeout part of the restaurant. The young lady who took my order was absolutely wonderful. Her name was Maddie and she was so patient, kind, warm and professional. I have never been treated so well at any restaurant like I have when I ordered this to Swiss chalet. I highly recommend this location solely on the fact that Maddie works there.

Me and my family frequent this location. But I have to say today we experienced the best service we have ever had here. we did not get our servers name but she had short blond hair and she was extremely pleasant. She was on the ball with absolutely everything. Service was fast refills were always full and food was delicious. Between our server and management and another young male server who helped out they went over and above to address one of my small concerns even tho they did not have to. Extremely professional on all ends.

Staff were not very friendly. Picked up order through drive thru to find they forgot the salad, dinner was cold and the chicken was sooo small. Will not be visiting that restaurant any time soon.

I was served at the pick-up counter by a woman named Maddison and she was an absolute gem of a human! Food is amazing and customer service is top tier! Highly recommend this Swiss Chalet over quite a few other nearby restaurants.

One time review just for today. Normally service is very good but today we had to wait for more than an hour to have our order taken then a long wait for the food. They were not very busy.

This place has gone downhill. I gave it many chances to see if its improved in taste and portions, but its just gotten worse. And the prices have gone up. I ordered a chicken and rib combo, the ribs were over cooked and dry, the chicken was salty, the coleslaw tasted funny and the rice was terrible. Almost a hint of mold (not kidding). Im done with this restaurant.

We were a group and we were unexpected, but from the moment we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by Peter the owner and his staff. We were seated a private section and made us feel comfortable by Michelle . We sat down and we were relaxed and a few moments later we were given menus and reviewed the menu s. Some of us ordered wine, and drinks . After a little while we were all served with smiles on. The food was impeccable, fresh, hot, and delicious. I am not a chicken fan, but I did enjoy my 9 oz roast beef with mashed potatoes as I am writing this review I am craving it right now. My favourite desert is lemon meringue pie, always fresh. I would definitely hold other occasions at this location again in a heart beat. You couldn t ask for better management staff and their waitresses are friendly and accommodating. The service was kind and very fast. The BBQ ribs are good but it s nothing to write home about. The price was higher than I expected but still reasonable. I d recommend this for anyone looking for a quick sit down meal. Parking: Shared parking lot used by many stores

Friendly staff and quick service. We ordered on the phone (talking to reps on the central Swiss Chalet line is really annoying and they gave me a hard time to use a mail coupon) but the in-person staff was very kind and friendly. Clean store.

Had a very disappointing meal today with my family. Service was very slow, server dropped a glass of water and soaked the table, the bench I was on, the floor and me. Apologies...but she made little effort to mop up. Floor had puddles that never got dried. She brought napkins, only when I asked but let me do all the wiping up.. Kids meals came with dessert..ice cream.. which took at least 10 min after ordering it. Worst service I have ever had a a SC. NOTE: I received an email from the manager and it was resolved to my satisfaction. I will try them again in the future. They were very prompt to address my concerns.

What a wonderful visit! Had dinner here this evening with our very large group. Lucy, our server, and all the amazing servers whose names I didnt get, made the meals and atmosphere absolutely awesome!!!

Went to Swiss chalet with a large group, everything went off without a hitch, service was excellent, food excellent, the whole group had no complaints would definitely keep them on mind for future gatheriings

We were part of a large group of 30 people on November 7th for dinner. Staff was friendly and very well organized . They had us in and out, and on schedule. Well done! We would highly recommend for bus groups.

First time SC food quality low. Mash potatoes gravy..used to be great. Now seems a mix of potatoe and flour taste. SC sauce now spicy. ?? Why the change? Would not give to kids. Chicken good small portion dark meat not like u get at grocery store. Green beans great. Bread fresh.

Marcine is the worst manager, rude and disrespectful. If you watched ur employees do their job and make sure they were packing the correct orders in the bag I wouldn t have to call back and complain. Food is burnt! Lazy $h!+ Food
